The Key to Winning Hearts and Minds in the Energy Debate

Last year I got the chance to speak to a group of dozens of Presidents and CEOs in the fossil fuel industry. In advance of the speech, I decided to synthesize, as concisely as I could, everything I knew about the case for fossil fuels—and how to make it incredibly persuasively. I wanted them to start to be able to do the same after my talk.

The essay was so well-received I decided to release it to the public as a short pamphlet called “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels: The Key to Winning Hearts and Minds.”

It’s now been read by hundreds and possibly thousands of people, including energy industry senior executives, and as you can probably tell from the title, it was optioned for a book deal by Penguin, and it slowly transformed into my new book, The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels is now available on Amazon.

Obviously, this piece is written for energy industry communicators, but it has valuable lessons for anyone who agrees with the ideas in the materials I’ve sent you so far and wants to make an impact on the fossil fuel debate. (It’s also on the shorter side of what I’ve sent you so far.)

After you’ve read it, feel free to share it far and wide, though I recommend you send friends, family and colleagues to www.MoralCaseforFossilFuels.com, so they can get all the other materials, too.
