Raheel Raza was born in Pakistan and is a Muslim Canadian journalist, author, public speaker, media consultant, anti-racism activist, and interfaith discussion leader. Raza lives in Toronto, Canada. She has been compared to Asra Nomani and Amina Wadud for her views on Islam, Islamic terrorism and Islamic law (shariah).

Raza opposes Islamic terrorism and the oppression of Muslim women by Islamists. As a result, she has received numerous death threats.
