Will Catholics help elect the first Muslim Governor?
As a Catholic it confounds me how the Catholic Church is embracing Islam. Turning the other cheek is not the same as baring one’s neck to the sword, as is happening to Catholics, Christians and Jews in Muslim countries. Even Pope Frances has embraced Islam.

In this excellent piece, George Neumayr refers to the rupture of relations between the Vatican and al-Azhar that took place during the time of Pope Benedict. As I explained here, that rupture took place because Pope Benedict dared to speak out about the Muslim persecution of Christians.
By contrast, Francis energetically defends Islam, and leaves the persecuted Christians twisting in the wind, so he is acceptable to al-Azhar.

The Democratic Party may have found its next Barack Obama.
His name is Dr. Abdul el-Sayed, he’s a 32-year-old medical doctor and he recently launched his campaign for governor of Michigan, the election for which is in November 2018. If he wins he would be America’s first Muslim governor.

“Any Republican would be afraid to confront him on his Muslim Brotherhood connections or his views on Shariah,” [Dick] Manasseri [spokesman for Secure Michigan a group that educates Michiganders about the threat of Shariah law, said. “He is a devout Shariah-compliant guy, and I would predict that he will be endorsed by the Catholic Church, which is very powerful in Michigan.”
Manasseri points out that a bill supporting American Law for American Courts, widely regarded as an anti-Shariah law, was defeated in the Michigan Legislature when two powerful lobbies – the Michigan Catholic Conference and the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR – teamed up to kill it. He expects the same coalition to form behind a candidate who would make history as America’s first Muslim governor.
“So if this guy rises in the polls, I would predict the Catholic Church will support his candidacy,” he said. “Just like with Obama, because we gotta make history.”
Tom Trento, Florida talk show host, author and internationally known speaker on national security issues warned in 2013 of the global threat of a Red (Marxist) on Green (Islamist) alliance:
I have written that President Obama’s greatest political achievement has been to fundamentally transform the Democratic Party. The New Democratic Party (NDP) is an alliance which I call the Red-Green-Rainbow Troika or RGRT. It consists of new groups that Democrats have not historically allied themselves with, until now.
The party of JFK is gone.
The Democratic Party is no longer the party of President John F. Kennedy. Seldom does one hear JFK’s name invoked by Democrats. Why? Because JFK was a war hero, a lifetime member of the NRA, a Catholic, he hated Communists and fought communism, he and his brother Bobby fought organized crime by profiling Italian Americans and he loved America.
Today JFK would be labeled by his own party as a Constitutional conservative.
The NDP has made it its mission to protect the “civil rights and civil liberties” of groups that are both incompatible with one another and with mainstream America.
The groups are incompatible for a number of reasons including:
- Communists hate Muslims and gays.
- Muslims hate Communists and execute gays (sodomites).
- Gays hate all religions, but make an exception for Islam (i.e. the enemy of my enemy is my friend).
Now we have Democrats, joined by Catholics, to put the first Muslim on the ballot for governor of Michigan.
Our predictions are correct, the red-green alliance is alive and well in Michigan Democrat Party.
