Five Additional Pages Of Classified Documents Found At Biden’s Delaware Home

Five additional pages of classified documents were discovered in President Joe Biden’s home, his special counsel, Richard Sauber announced Saturday.

The pages were found by Sauber on Thursday in Wilmington, Delaware, as he was facilitating the delivery of another classified document found Wednesday to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Sauber said in a statement.

Biden’s lawyers were conducting a search of the president’s Delaware residences following the discovery of classified documents at Biden’s private office at the Penn Biden Center in November, and found classified documents in his garage on Dec. 20 and one additional document at his residence on Wednesday, the DOJ said on Thursday.

When the additional document was found Wednesday, Biden’s lawyers suspended their search of the immediate area and contacted the DOJ, because they didn’t have security clearances, Sauber said.

“I went to Wilmington Thursday evening to facilitate providing the document the President’s personal counsel found on Wednesday to the Justice Department. While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them,” Sauber added.

He stressed that Biden’s lawyers acted “immediately and voluntarily,” and that the administration is cooperating with the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday.

The White House did not announce the discovery of the five additional documents on Thursday or Friday. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Thursday that the search by Biden’s lawyers is “clearly complete, and therefore we shared the information with all of you.”

DeSantis Intends To Ship Migrants To Delaware, Illinois

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis intends on sending more migrant aliens to two states considered Democratic strongholds.

After sending nearly 50 immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard last month, a DeSantis spokesperson said that the Governor’s administration is poised to send more migrants to Illinois, as well as President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware, The Associated Press reported.

Approximately 100 migrants will reportedly be distributed between the two states, according to the outlet.

The relocation efforts were scheduled to occur in early October but were delayed due to the devastation that the state of Florida experienced due to the recent wrath of Hurricane Ian. Now, the deadline is set for the first of December, according to the outlet.

DeSantis Communications Director Taryn Fenske told The AP in an email that “While Florida has had all hands on deck responding to our catastrophic hurricane, the immigration relocation program remains active.”

The governor has faced legal scrutiny and backlash for the decision to send the migrants to Martha’s Vineyard where which former President Barack Obama owns a sizable home. The Florida gubernatorial administration is apparently unperturbed.

As a result, there is speculation that the group sent to the Massachusetts island could potentially be on a path to attain U.S. citizenship due to a pending investigation by a Texas sheriff, Politico reported.

The Martha’s Vineyard migrants themselves have also sued DeSantis for allegedly misleading them, according to The New York Times.

Federal Agents Believe They Have Enough Evidence To Charge Hunter Biden

Federal agents investigating Hunter Biden for tax and gun crimes believe they have enough evidence to charge him, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

Biden has faced investigation in the Federal District of Delaware since 2018 over allegedly failing to pay taxes and lying on a federal firearm application. U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a holdover from the Trump administration, is conducting the investigation, and would be the person who decides whether or not to bring charges, according to The Washington Post.

“It is a federal felony for a federal agent to leak information about a Grand Jury investigation such as this one,” Biden’s attorney said in a statement. “Any agent you cite as a source in your article apparently has committed such a felony. We expect the Department of Justice will diligently investigate and prosecute such bad actors.”

The gun charges would stem from a firearm application Biden submitted to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in 2018. Biden claimed on the application that he was not “an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance.” However, he later suggested in his memoir that he was using crack cocaine during the time period in question, writing that he was “smoking crack every 15 minutes.”

The Internal Revenue Service placed a $112,805 lien on Biden in 2015, the same time that he was serving on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Rosemont Seneca Bohai (RSB), a firm controlled by Biden’s business partner, paid him more than $700,000 between June 2014 and October 2015. Burisma received funds from RSB at the same time as it paid Biden.

Biden paid a “significant” amount in back taxes shortly after the 2020 election, The New York Times reported. In revealing that he was under investigation, Biden claimed that he was “confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately.”

Biden could also face charges related to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which requires “agents of foreign principals… to make periodic public disclosure of their relationship with the foreign principal.” He and business partner Tony Bobulinski texted about setting up a shell corporation that they believed could help them avoid registering under FARA. Biden conducted business with CEFC China Energy through the company Hudson West III in 2017 and 2018.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

How has Delaware dodged the refugee bullet for decades? Answer: Joe Biden

There is a short news item at Delaware Public Media about how a Jewish refugee agency in Delaware is waiting for seven families (likely Muslim families based on their country of origin) they hope they will soon be settling in Delaware—the First State.  So I thought I might revisit a topic I haven’t discussed for a long time and that is the origin of the Refugee Act of 1980.

Senators Biden and Kennedy are responsible for the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program. See list below of other Senators deeply involved in 1979.

But, first here is a portion of the short piece at Delaware Public Media:

The state of Hawaii’s stay on Trump’s second travel ban suspends the FY17 cap for refugees – currently set at 50,000.

That opens the door for refugee families from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and the Eastern African country of Eritrea in line to come to the First State, but none of them have travel plans in place yet.

Jewish Family Services of Delaware Refugee Resettlement Coordinator Sarah Green says that currently, the families are stuck in Jordan and Ethiopia.

“It’s hard to know what’s happening,” Green said. “We just have to wait and see. We get a very limited view of what’s happening over there.”

She says her agency is taking the approach that these families could arrive any day – and working to ensure they’ll be comfortable when they reach Delaware.

[….]

There’s reason to expect they could arrive soon. According to the U.S. State Department, 900 flights for refugees to the U.S. are being scheduled every week.

As of this morning, 831 new refugees arrived in the US in the past week (5/5-5/12) according to Wrapsnet. And, that puts us at 44,072 this fiscal year.

At this rate the Trump Administration will hit 50,000 in about 7 – 8 weeks. Will they stop at 50,000 which should happen around the first week of July? That is the question!

Delaware, in some ways, is more interesting to me than some of the other very low refugee admission states (LOL! including Hawaii).  See chart below.

And that is because then Senator Joe Biden was one of the chief sponsors of the Senate-generated Refugee Act of 1979 (S.643) which became the Refugee Act of 1980 when Jimmy Carter signed it in to law the following year.  You can learn more about it here.  Pay special attention to the part about how states were NOT to be burdened with welfare costs of refugees.

Here are the co-sponsors of S.643 another of Senator Ted Kennedy’s swamp-America-with-immigrants bills:

So how is it that Delaware is in the bottom ten locations for refugee seeding when then Senator and now former Vice President Joe Biden is that state’s most prominent political figure?  Did he welcome refugees to America in 1979, but keep them from swamping Delaware with diversity for decades?

Wrapsnet data only goes back to FY2003, but that gives us enough years to see a pattern. (For researchers more diligent than I am, you can go back through all the previous annual reports and put the data together from the very beginning, but I expect the pattern is similar in the early years.)

So from FY03 through today (in FY17) we admitted 886,324 refugees to America (not including asylum seekers) and Delaware got a whopping 139 of them!

In the years Joe Biden was Vice President, Delaware got only 50 refugees.

Here are the last ten locations for refugee placement from FY03 to the present. What the heck is “Unknown State?” Does that mean 68 refugees were placed secretly somewhere? Yikes!

If Delaware Public Media really wanted to do some important work, reporters there should try to find out exactly why and how Delaware dodged a bullet for so many years when their claim to fame, Veep Joe Biden, sponsored the original law and then apparently kept diversity-seeding from the state! (It is not because of the state’s small size since Rhode Island got thousands more than Delaware).

For new readers, this post is filed in mywhere to find information’ category and in ‘Refugee statistics.’

Will Republicans pick up a U.S. Senate Seat in Delaware? Kevin Wade thinks so!

Kevin Wade

Kevin Wade, Republican primary candidate for the U.S. Senate in Delaware.

With the primary races over and growing attention at the local, state and national levels will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The real battle nationally is in the U.S. Senate. Millions will be poured into races to retain or obtain control of that body.

However, there is one key Republican U.S. Senate primary remaining – in Delaware.

On September 9th, 2014 the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate will be held in “The First State.” This race will take on greater interest as the Delaware primary approaches. Kevin Wade, a self-made business man, believes he can take and put the Delaware U.S. Senate seat solidly in the “R” column.

Historically the Delaware U.S. Senate seat is won with approximately 150,000 total votes. The race in November will likely hinge on about 8,000 voters changing their voting pattern on the General Election Day. It is projected that the Republican turnout will be 10% higher and 10% lower for the Democrats. That leaves 8,000 voters to be convinced to swing  this U.S. Senate Republican on November 4th.

This is the seat formerly held by now Vice President Joe Biden. That alone must have Delaware Republicans energized.

According to Wade, “It is all in reach. I don’t understand the fascination with ‘big state’ races at the national level. My vote in the U.S. Senate would count as much as California’s U.S. Senator. The yield on a donor dollar and volunteer hour is so much higher in this small voting universe in Delaware.”

Kevin Wade on the Two Americas:

Recently Wade was at the Gaza Frontier with Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers. Wade notes, “No civilian was closer. I am a trusted friend and have trusted friends there. Because of this trust, senior IDF officers closed their eyes to my presence in the forward area. The soldiers I met were returning from house-to-house fighting inside Gaza. Others were going across the fence line to enter combat. It was and remains a tough fight. To be clear I was not in combat; just nearby. One explosion was so close I felt the blast wave and my ears rang.”

“The soldiers asked me to break bread with them at their late night mess. Another night I was invited to join their prayer circle for the traditional Soldiers Prayer before they entered combat. I went to Israel, when under attack by Hamas rockets, to form a personal impression. On my last night in Israel I was invited to be a guest on I24 TV, Israel’s “CNN” for a live worldwide broadcast about the conditions there. Thirty minutes later I was face down in a roadside ditch due to another rocket attack. I saw the two rockets rise up with a fiery tail from a field to my right,” recalls Wade.
