Radicalized Islamic Cleric Kamal El-Mekki’s appearance in Central Florida from May 12-14, 2017 is generating real concern as he publicly advocates religiously sanctioned murder. Kamal El-Mekki’s incitement to violence hate speech must be condemned by the media, local Islamic leaders, and the non-Muslim clergy.
Kamal El-Mekki on video tape, stated the following:
Killing of Muslims who leave Islam (apostates) is sanctioned.
Killing of adulterers is sanctioned (but advises clerics not to discuss it so much).
Killing & Beheading of criminals is necessary for a safe society.
Killing drug dealers in America would be a good practice.
Hate for the Non-Muslim. “As for the kuffar (derogatory name for non-Muslims), “the first thing is, why would you want to follow a people whom you know and you’re sure that their end will be in the hellfire?”
Offensive statements regarding the homosexual lifestyle.
Polygamy is an acceptable practice
A dangerous pattern of three radicalized Islamic Clerics being invited to speak in Orlando, in the last 16 months, can no longer be ignored. Three Radical Islamic clerics will have visited numerous Mosques, held private events in the Orlando area, and now the Al-Maghrib Institute, reaching several thousands of Muslims living in the Orlando area. To date no Muslim cleric in Orlando has condemned any of these speakers and that is problematic in a spectacular fashion. Who are these Radical Clerics invited to Orlando?
“Opening more federal lands and waters to oil and gas drilling is a pillar of President Trump’s plan to make the United States energy independent,” said Zinke.
And not only that: it will also cut off a great part of the funding for the global jihad, which goes from our gasoline money to oil-producing states, where all too much of it finds its way into the hands of the jihadists who have vowed to destroy the U.S. and the free world.
“Trump Opens ‘All Available’ Gulf Of Mexico Waters To Oil Drilling,” by Michael Bastasch, Daily Caller, March 7, 2017:
The Department of the Interior will include “all available” federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico that have not already been leased out for offshore oil drilling.
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced Monday 73 million acres off the coast of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida would be offered at a lease sale in August as part of the Interior Department’s five-year leasing plan.
“Opening more federal lands and waters to oil and gas drilling is a pillar of President Trump’s plan to make the United States energy independent,” Zinke said in a statement.
Interior finalized its current five-year offshore leasing program in January, just before Trump took office. The current plan includes 11 potential lease sales — 10 in the Gulf of Mexico and one in Alaska’s Cook Inlet.
The Obama administration, however, did not include any lease sales in most of the Arctic Ocean and all of the Atlantic Ocean. The administration initially considered offshore drilling in those areas, but decided not to on the urging of environment groups. For now, it seems like the Trump administration will stick with current policies. that could possibly change one Secretary Zinke gets all his appointees in place. The Senate confirmed Zinke last week, and it’s unclear when they will hold confirmation hearings for other high-level Interior positions.
“The Gulf is a vital part of that strategy to spur economic opportunities for industry, states, and local communities, to create jobs and home-grown energy and to reduce our dependence on foreign oil,” Zinke said….
Shortly before leaving office, former President Barack Obama locked up even more offshore areas from drilling, issuing an executive order in December making 31 canyons in the Atlantic off limits to drilling. The order took 3.8 million acres of the Atlantic ocean out of play for drillers.
In that same order, Obama designated “the vast majority of U.S. waters in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas as indefinitely off limits to offshore oil and gas leasing.”
Environmentalists supported keeping Arctic and Atlantic waters off limits to drilling. Activists say it’s necessary to protect marine life and slow global warming.
Trump, on the other hand, promised to boost U.S. energy production through opening more federal lands and waters for exploration and eliminating regulations. That includes rolling back Obama-era policies blocking offshore drilling.
“This is exactly the kind of investment, economic development and job creation that will help put Americans back to work,” Trump said of Exxon’s investments announced Monday….
For those who did not see this Channel 9 Investigative report there was a Radical Syrian Cleric, Sheikh Mohammed Rateb Al-Nabulsi, who openly calls for the death of Jews and Gays speaking in Central Florida. Sh. Al-Nabulsi found a welcoming home at the Islamic Society of Central Florida – Imam Musri’s Mosque, AlBir Mosque in Kissimmee, Islamic Society of Pinellas County Mosque, and a Embassy Suites Banquet Hall in Tampa for the American Muslim Leadership Council of Tampa, FL.
“…the wicked Jews are a collection of defects and imperfections, and a hotbed of vices and evils. They are the worst enemies of God, against Islam and its people, The Almighty says: Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists. [Quran 5:82]”
Sh. Nabulsi goes on,
“It is not permissible under Sharia to relinquish to the Jews any part of the lands of the Muslims nor to make peace with them, for they are the people of cunning and deception, and the breaking of pacts.
All the Jewish people are combatant…this is essentially an entirely aggressive entity from A to Z. This is the Sharia ruling, This is what many of the Ulema say, the Sharia ruling on Fedayeen activity is that it is permissible. “
Sheikh Al-Nabulsi has never retracted his statements publicly. These statements of hatred for all the Jewish people from A to Z, is part of his schadenfreude or worldview. In the Muslim world, Sh. Al-Nabulsi is a world renowned Islamic scholar and those who support him must also, by default, share his hate filled worldview.
Imam Mohammad Musri on January 7, 2014 invited this Hate Sheikh into his Mosque. Imam Mursri was interviewed by Channel 9 reporter Field Sutton on why he would invite such a controversial figure to his Orlando, FL Mosque. Imam Musri did not condemn his friend Al-Nabulsi’s hate speech against the Jews. In fact, Musri ignored those anti Jewish comments thinking Mr. Sutton was referring only to Sh. Al-Nabulsi’s anti gay remarks.
Imam Musri’s answers appeared to only reference Sh. Al-Nabulsi’s video saying that, “All homosexuals deserve the death penalty” not addressing any of the hate Sheikh’s Anti Jewish comments. Imam Musri said, “We would not welcome any person or organization that will bash any group,” Musri said, “after the Pulse nightclub attack, he hopes the visiting scholar no longer feels the way he used to feel. “If he does, then it gives us the opportunity to discuss and maybe challenge those views and maybe change minds or hearts,” I’m sorry to tell you this Imam Musri, but any reasonable person would want that little detail of calling for the murder of an entire demographic cleared up before inviting him to speak at your Mosque, instead of giving the Hate Sheikh a clever pass. Imam Musri – I find your cavalier attitude towards your brother Al-Nabulsi’s hate speech and incitement to violence pathologically disturbing.
Imam Musri’s refusing to condemn Al-Nabulsi’s hate speech against the Jews specifically, creates a dilemma for many in the Orlando Jewish leadership.
For example, Imam Musri co-hosts a interfaith radio show on National Public Radio with Rabbi Steven Engel of the Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando. Rabbi Engel must decide if his personal friendship with Imam Musri is more important than his association with a radical Syrian cleric who says all Jews are legitimate targets for martyrdom operations and death. Imam Musri had the opportunity to condemn Sh. Al-Nabulsi on Channel 9 News but never did, one must ask why? Rabbi Steven Engel and his congregation must ask why?
The afternoon of Sh. Al-Nabulsi’s lecture at Imam Musri’s Mosque we went to ask that exact question, but never got the chance. Before entering the Mosque, we were confronted by Bassem Chaaban, Director of Outreach for Imam Musri’s Mosque. Mr. Chaaban told us, “This is a private event and not open to the public…it was not advertised to the public and for our members only.” We were denied entry and asked to leave.
Nowhere on Imam Musri’s flyer for the Hate Sheikh event does it say ‘Private’ or RSVP required. The Al-Nabulsi lecture was advertised on the ISCF Facebook page. Clearly Mr. Chaaban, acting on Imam Musri’s behalf, only wanted Muslim’s in attendance, all others not welcome.
Hate Sheikh’s Anti Gay Comments
Sh. Al-Nabulsi said on video tape that, “All homosexuals deserve the death penalty.” The only person from Orlando’s gay community who publicly condemned Al-Nabulsi was Randy Ross, the Orange County leader for President Donald Trump’s election campaign.
How deep does the hate and intolerance run in the Central Florida Muslim community? There are three Mosques and the American Muslim Leadership Council of Tampa who hold Sh. ‘Hate’ Al-Nabulsi in such high regard they invited him to speak, knowing his visceral hatred for Jews and Gays.
Imam Musri was the voice of the Orlando Muslim community after the Pulse Nightclub terrorist attack. Imam Musri spoke a message of love, togetherness, and that Islam had nothing to do with the attack by ISIS Jihadi, Omar Mateen.
Imam Musri did an interview next to the Pulse Nightclub with Tim Vargas, local gay leader, and George Stephanopoulos. Imam Musri was saying how the Pulse Nightclub shooter did not represent Islam and how the Muslim community stands with the Gay community and the entire Orlando community at large. That was a good and much needed message, only now we learn Imam Musri was not telling the truth. If Imam Musri was truthful in his interview with George Stephanopoulos, today he would have condemned Sheikh Al-Nabulsi publicly for his call to murder gays and Jews. Imam Musri invited a hate cleric to his Mosque as an honored guest for his thousands of Muslim congregants, now he must account for his actions.
This is serious business because Imam Musri is well respected in the Jewish, Christian, Gay, and interfaith communities. Imam Musri has built these relationships over many years telling these local leaders exactly what they need to hear to build bridges of friendship.
Then while Imam Musri thinks nobody is looking, he shows what lies underneath his slick polished veneer. Underneath that veneer of bridge building lies a man who reveres an Islamic scholar who calls for the murder of Jews and Gays. Imam Musri had the opportunity to set the record straight condemning Al-Nabulsi with Channel 9 News reporter Field Sutton, but he did not.
How many followers of Islam in Central Florida who went to hear the Hate Sheikh speak agree with his views on the killing of Jews and Gays?
How many people who hear Sheikh Mohammed Rateb Al-Nabulsi’s incitement to violence against Jews and Gays will act upon it? In light of the Pulse nightclub terrorist attack, Ft. Lauderdale airport attack, San Bernardino attack, Ft. Hood terrorist attack, bomb scares to 3 Jewish facilities in Orlando, this question can no longer be ignored.

“Aashiq Hammad” also has Bryan Santiago — Esteban’s brother — as a connection…
The perpetrator of today’s random shooting at Fort Lauderdale, Esteban Santiago Ruiz is a Puerto Rican Salafist Sunni Muslim who was a resident of Anchorage, Alaska. CBS reported that he walked into an Anchorage, Alaska FBI office in November 2016 claiming he was forced to fight for ISIS.
He was born in New Jersey, but moved to Penuela, Puerto Rico to live with his brother and mother shortly thereafter. He moved to Alaska in 2015 for work, and had been employed as a security guard. Same job as Omar Mateen, the perpetrator of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub Massacre. He was “fighting with a lot of people” during his time in Alaska, including his girlfriend. At the time of the shooting, he was receiving mental help for his depression .
Santiago Ruiz is reportedly a Sunni Muslim with Salafist beliefs, and he is a father of one. He served in the Puerto Rican National Guard for six years. He also signed up for the National Guard as a combat engineer and served a year in Iraq. Reports indicate he had a history of mental health issues. In November 2016, he walked into the FBI office in Anchorage, claiming he was fighting for ISIS.
January 2016: Fourth-degree assault and damage of property, from a domestic violence incident. Santiago settled the charges.
On January 6, 2017 Esteban Santiago killed 5 people and injured many more in the . His name was released by Florida US Senator Bill Nelson on MSNBC. He was carrying a military ID.
On January 6, 2017 Esteban Santiago killed 5 people and injured many more in the Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting. His name was released by Florida U.S. Senator Bill Nelson on MSNBC . He was carrying a military ID.
Santiago took Delta Airlines Flight #1088 from Anchorage to Minneapolis – Saint Paul Thursday night. He landed Friday morning, and then took Delta Flight no. 2182 from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Fort Lauderdale. He then appeared in the Terminal 2 baggage claim area wearing a Star Wars shirt.
Witnesses say he appeared to randomly target his victims during the shooting spree which has left at at least five people dead and many more injured. He was apprehended by authorities when he stopped shooting to reload, witnesses said.
EDITORS NOTE: The featured image is of Santiago pictured wearing a black on green Palestinian Keffiyeh scarf giving a “one-finger salute,” a gesture displayed by the ISIS gunman who shot the Russian ambassador in December.

The gunman who opened fire in the Fort Lauderdale international airport Friday has been identified as Esteban Santiago by Sen. Bill Nelson.
At least five people were killed and another eight were injured in the shooting inside Terminal 2, which serves Delta Air Lines and Air Canada, according to Broward Mayor Barbara Sharief. Santiago was taken into custody after the shooting.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said Santiago was possibly a “homegrown violent extremist” who followed terror groups on social media.
Israel said there was no evidence Santiago was a member of any terror group but detectives and federal authorities are continuing to investigate whether he had any ties.
They add that in November 2016, he walked into an FBI office in Anchorage claiming that he was being forced to fight for ISIS. He was sent to a psychiatric hospital.
In 2011 or 2012, he was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations for child porn. Three weapons and a computer were seized, but there was not enough evidence to prosecute, according to law enforcement sources.
Santiago also has a record for minor traffic violations and was evicted in 2015 for not paying rent.

President-elect Donald J. Trump wishes those attending his thank you tour a Merry Christmas. The birthday of Jesus Christ is recognized throughout Western cultures and is the foundation of our Constitutional Republican form of government. In God We Trust appears on our currency and is on many public buildings.
The man who installed a satanic pentagram in Boca Raton is a public school teacher, the Palm Beach County superintendent of schools confirmed today.
The school district did not answer a previous attempt by NewsChannel 5 to confirm.
Parents said Preston Smith teaches language arts at Boca Raton Community Middle School. The president of the school’s parent teacher association said she doesn’t want Smith to continue teaching at the school, but added she can’t speak on behalf of all parents.
“A teacher we entrust our children with should not be putting a sign like this anywhere,” explained Kim Bremer.
Earlier this month, the city of Boca Raton gave Smith permission to install a Satanic display at Sanborn Square downtown. That is the same park where other religious organizations install a nativity scene and menorah during the holiday season.
Smith is a known activist for separating religion from government. He argued if the city allows one religious display on public property, it has to allow them all, even if they are offensive.
BOSTON, Mass. /PRNewswire/ — Clear Ballot reported successful election audits for nearly 14% of Florida’s Presidential Election results in the counties using ClearAudit technology. The counties that used the state of the art audit system include Bay, Broward, Columbia, Leon, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Lucie.
In 2013, Florida became the first state to pass a statute giving counties the option of conducting post-election audits, either manually or through an automated, independent method. ClearAudit became the first system authorized for use under the new statute and has been adopted by seven counties. Each county has showed significant reduction in manual processes and election operation costs since adopting ClearAudit, which allows them to audit 100% of each election giving counties and voters more confidence in the election results.
Clear Ballot provides Florida counties with an automated audit, independent of the voting system, scanning ballots at a central location to produce a fully searchable visualization of voter marks. This visualization allows counties to establish, with confidence, voter intent -including write-in votes- across all ballots.
“The future of all elections is based on trust and validation. Clear Ballot provides the visual and physical checks for verification that no other system provides with cost effective, absolute transparency and repeatability,” said Mark Andersen, Bay County Supervisor of Election, who has used ClearAudit for the past three years with great success.
Clear Ballot is privileged to work with election officials throughout the country to ensure the integrity of elections and is pleased to see the successful verification of election results.
“We’re thrilled that Florida has become a leader in conducting efficient post-election audits, providing the confidence voters need amid the chaotic recounts in several states in the Presidential Election. We’re looking forward to many more election jurisdictions finding success and reassurance in election results with voting solutions from Clear Ballot.”
ClearAudit also includes a ballot inventory tool that allows election officials to view each high-resolution digital ballot image and locate the physical ballot quickly and easily if needed. Clear Ballot election technology was also used in Oregon, Vermont and Maryland during November’s election.

[T]he Sarasota Fl area was the base of operations for 9/11 Al-Qaeda Hijack Pilots Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi and Ziad Jarrah, they had a support network entrenched in the area when Al-Qaeda linked Imam Muneer Arafat shows up at the Sarasota-Bradenton Islamic Center (Mosque) in March 2000 just 3 months before the Hijackers show up in the Sarasota area in June of 2000.
See Jan 20, 2003 article about Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, below, just after he was arrested on Immigration charges by ICE agents in November 2002. Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat had been the roommate of Al-Qaeda procurement terrorist Ziyad Sadaqa aka Ziyad Khaleel.
Fast forward to today and we find sheikh Monzer Taleb, someone with links to the terrorist group HAMAS, sitting with Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton mosque leaders for a fundraiser in support of the organization Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD). The Islamic Society of Sarasota published the attendees list for the event. The list included:Speaker Ali Syed, Speaker Monzer Talilb, Speaker Suleiman Salem, Speaker Tariq AbuKhdeir and Poetry by Remi Kanazi.
Watch the video, below, and you will see Taleb sitting to the left of the imam giving the Eid prayer at the HHRD orphan aide event in Sarasota:
Monzer Taleb was an unindicted Co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Trial, identified by Federal prosecutors as a member of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, a covert U.S. MB organization with a responsibility for supporting and financing Hamas. Taleb was identified in a captured Palestine Committee document as a member of organization. As a member of the Al Sakhra Band, Taleb helped to raise funds for Hamas at fundraisers thrown by the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) and the Islamic Association for Palestine. (IAP), two organizations created by the Palestine Committee to support Hamas, according to evidence provided by the federal government.
[ … ]
Monzer Taleb appears to remain active in the fundraising business, raising funds for Helping Hands for Relief and Development (HHRD), a charity accused of having close ties to a Pakistani organization known to have financed Hamas. Taleb is additionally listed as a member of HHRD-Jordan. Taleb also fundraises for the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT), which runs Dallas Central Mosque, which was closely associated with the Holy Land Foundation, and has long been identified as having ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. [Emphasis added]
On September 11th, 2016 there were thousands of 9/11 memorial and remembrance event. None was more powerful than those held in Sarasota, Florida where Mohammed Atta and two of his terrorist cohorts learned to fly planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
It is important to understand that Islam is evil. Evil is raising money under the banner of orphan relief, much like was done with the Holyland Foundation.
Sadly, the money never went to help orphans, rather it went to fund terrorism.

“Marijuana-Free Florida” presents the fourth in a series of public forums against the constitutional amendment to permanently expand the legalization of medical marijuana in the State of Florida to be held from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on September 26 at The Al Katz Center, 5710 Cortez Road, in the Cortez Commons shopping center.
The following week, on October 5, medical marijuana and substance abuse addictions expert Dr. Jessica Spencer will give two public lectures open to the community on “The Hidden Truths of the Corporate Medical Marijuana Cash Crop Industry to Your Neighborhood and Family” at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, donations appreciated.
Who would believe that some of the wealthiest men on earth actually care about alleviating human suffering through medical marijuana when indeed their amassed fortunes could bring immeasurable relief to the masses in need? Billionaires including global investor George Soros, former CEO of Progressive Insurance Peter Lewis, former CEO of Men’s Wearhouse George Zimmer, and founder of the University of Phoenix and the Apollo Group John Sperling, are the money momentum behind the dangerous and relentless push to expand marijuana legalization through constitutional amendments state by state, even in states like Florida where medical marijuana is already legalized via three separate laws.
Multiple billionaires are pushing marijuana expansion amendments to state constitutions, but why? Who profits and how from such expansion amendments? First of all, medical marijuana is a massive lucrative cash crop industry that has proven to be an open door to detrimental societal changes and criminality, including vast human trafficking, theft of water resources, invasive marijuana grow sites into neighborhoods, and uncontrolled proliferation of stores in neighborhood shopping centers where marijuana is dispensed freely by young people who have no medical or pharmacological training, as does a physician or pharmacist.
In states such as Oregon and California, marijuana shops can be located across the street from schools and next door to churches. Children can watch adults consuming marijuana in attractive edible forms like gummy bears, while the children are on recess on school playgrounds. Vast water resources are illegally diverted to feed ever-thirsty marijuana plants, each of which consumes five gallons of water per day, and beautiful ranches are being turned into hundreds of acres of marijuana grow sites, which emit an unmistakable putrid smell all day and all night.
Once marijuana is legalized by constitutional amendment, as being sought in the State of Florida, your neighborhood, no matter where it is, can become a marijuana grow site without local control, and the putrid pervasive smell of marijuana will inescapably fill the air 24 hours per day. With constitutional legalization, traffic accidents increase, public health decreases, workplace productivity declines, and the billionaires stand to greatly profiteer on the backs of the hard-working public. In fact, the marijuana cash crop industry will exceed in human misery the cotton cash crop industry and is currently being promoted as a massive money flow for corporate investors.
Hear the facts behind the facts. Gather literature, and watch films on this urgent constitutional issue now before the Florida public.
Women involved in the highly-profitable marijuana cash-crop industry are paid extra to harvest cannabis topless and frequently suffer sexual abuse. Ads for women workers describe them as sex objects: “looking for new help, topless extra” or “Need a good looking trimmer that is … open minded [for sex acts].”
When California legalized medical marijuana, the public had no idea that the State’s rivers would be dried up due to each marijuana plant consuming five gallons of water per day, multiplied by 50,000 marijuana farms just in California and millions of thirsty plants, according to Scientific American. In fact, water consumption by every marijuana plant exceeds water consumption of the migrant workers, including children, who prepare marijuana for market.
Marijuana is a profit-driven cash crop, as was cotton, grown outdoors on plantations, often owned by interstate corporations, and in windowless, isolated factories, where migrants can labor under slave-like conditions. In California’s medical marijuana industry, migrants have been shot and murdered, execution-style, by the plantation owner on a rural 800-acre farm.
Throughout the world, in the UK and elsewhere, many thousands of impoverished children have been found imprisoned as slaves in marijuana factories. In Florida, the first marijuana factory is hidden from public view in a rural area, surrounded by barbed wire, protected by armed guards, and secured by numerous checkpoints where cell phones are confiscated.
The decision to expand marijuana in Florida has limitless ramifications for expanded profiteering with inestimable social costs, heightened human trafficking, escalating crimes against women and children, enormous environmental damage through drought created by millions of ever-thirsty marijuana plants and gigantic electric consumption in marijuana factories, and deteriorating health conditions of migrant worker families and marijuana consumers exposed to high levels of toxic pesticides used on the plants and effectively unregulated by under-staffed agencies.

As you consider your vote remember this is a Constitutional Amendment, and once passed the chances of changing it are slim and none. Before we change the Constitution, shouldn’t the Amendment be clearly beneficial to most Floridians? Unfortunately, the vast majority of Floridians will be hurt if Amendment 4 is passed. The Amendment will raise electric rates and ad valorem taxes. Vote NO on this Amendment.
Summary: This Amendment will exempt solar devices installed on homes or businesses from ad valorem taxes, until 12-31-2037.
First of all, homeowners who install Solar-Electric systems already get a 30% federal tax break!
This financial assistance from the federal government, has been around for years. Secondly, Florida state government has helped by exempting “solar energy systems or any component thereof” from sales tax. And now we have this amendment, a third gilded gift to prop-up the failing solar industry.
Nonetheless, let’s see how many people this Amendment will help. A review of the US Census Fact Finder data on the table below, shows that 30% (2,166,215) of all Floridians live in “Rental Occupied” units, and therefore, no-one in that group would invest in solar-electric systems. As shown in the “Owner-occupied” category, that leaves 4,986,629 potential customers.
In addition, even if you own a house you may not be able to afford to invest in a solar-electric system. People who own lower valued housing units valued at $50,000-$150,000, are not likely to invest $30,000 (cost estimate to buy, install, and connect a solar-electric system to the electric grid) for solar system. So of the 4,986,629 total housing units, we can subtract 1,593,957 for the lower valued houses. That gives 3,392,697 as the remaining moderate to higher priced housing units that would be the target market for solar-electric systems.
However, there are about 1,000,000 condominiums in Florida, whose owners would also be prevented/impeded from modifying or otherwise changing their common roofs, so the total possible number of housing units for solar falls to 2,392,697, or ~34% of all housing units.
With only ~34% of housing units available for solar-electric systems, how can this Amendment be considered fair? Worse yet, many snow-birds and residents have mobile homes that are included the housing units, but there is no itemized number for them. So the 34%, would be even lower if mobile home units were subtracted from the total number of units.
In 2015, the Nevada PUC changed the rules for “net metering,” which allows homeowners to sell their excess solar generated electricity to their utility at retail rather than wholesale rates. But because that arrangement was too costly, the PUC changed the rule.
The Nevada scenario seems like a no brainer, but apparently there was enough grant money to make up for the losses, until one day when the math didn’t work, and the people in Nevada realized that the more electric generated by solar, the less profits the utilities collect. The utilities need profit to pay staff to restore power after storms, sustain street lighting, and maintain the electric grid, etc. In addition, utilities work on economies of scale, and their efficiency is reduced when customers convert to solar, because it costs more to generate a KW of electricity.
This Amendment is an obvious attempt by state bureaucrats to boost the heavily subsidized, yet nearly bankrupt solar industry. It’s not fair or prudent, to let the state pick winners and losers in a free market economy, and we should not let this cronyism go unnoticed.
Vote NO on Amendment 4.

The Florida Senate District 23 race has been filled with mud slinging, vitriol and attacks between candidates. And that’s just the Republicans running for the open seat.
Big money, the media, big business and the establishment GOP have worked to put into the District 23 Senate seat anybody but Ray Pilon. Sound familiar?
Ray is not beholding to big donors and has not gotten into the mud slinging pig pen, like some other candidates. Ray Pilon is the only candidate who is talking about and focused on the issues impacting Floridians. That alone is reason enough to cast a vote for Pilon.
But there are other reasons that compel me to vote for Ray Pilon. The reasons fall into four categories: Illegal immigration, law and order, the Florida economy, public education.
George Fuller, an expert on immigration issues, sent me the following in an email:
This afternoon I received a response from Ray Pilon posted below who is running for the [Florida District 23] state senate. I voted for him previously and will again.
Thanks George, if I make it to the Senate you won’t just hear rhetoric from me you will see legislation and a campaign to correct this [immigration] mess. What you have said all along is getting worse. It is a major priority for me and maybe my fellow legislators will finally wake up. I will seek your counsel as we move forward.
Illegals cost the state of Florida over $5 billion annually according to FAIR. This is a heavy burden on all Florida taxpayers. Andrea Billups from NewsMax reported:
Ray Pilon was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1968. After graduation, he moved to the state of Florida in 1979, where he began working as a police officer.
Perhaps the second most important issue facing Florida is the maintaining of law and order. With the recent killings in Orlando and Fort Myers it is clear that the terrorist and criminal elements are always waiting to strike.
Pilon was part of that thin blue line keeping Floridians safe. He understands that without law enforcement officers there is lawlessness.
THE FLORIDA ECONOMY
A healthy economy depends on low taxes, a skilled workforce, and a regulatory environment that encourages job creation and entrepreneurship. In the Florida legislature, Ray Pilon has worked to remove government-created obstacles to prosperity.
I am confident he will continue to work with Governor Scott to create jobs, cut regulations and increase the chances for entrepreneurs to flourish in the Sunshine state.
Florida Citizens Alliance (FLCA) was working on both a comprehensive bill to restore local K-12 education control and a focused curriculum bill to fix the loopholes in SB 864, passed in 2014 as FS 1006.283.
FLCA in a press release stated:
We are very pleased to report that Senator Alan Hays and Representative Ray Pilon are championing companion bills to fix FS 1006.283 and its loopholes: SB 1018 and HB 899.
The purpose/intent of the original SB 864 was to assign constitutional responsibility for all instructional materials to school boards, and require a transparent policy/process for school boards and parents to remove objectionable materials. Due to several loopholes in FS 1006.283, the spirit and intent of the original bill are currently being ignored by many school districts in Florida.
FLCA later asked its members, parents and concerned citizen to “send a ‘shout out’ to Senator Hays and Representative Pilon, thanking them for their leadership.”
Ray Pilon has been a champion of moving power to students, parents and teachers in Florida.
Not sure what else I can say other than I urge all voters in Florida Senate District 23 to vote for Ray Pilon.

We interviewed Dr. Andy Bostom who details the shariah-compliant views of Democratic National Convention speaker, Gold Star Father, Khizr Khan. At the same time Donald Trump met with six Gold Star families in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 (see the Military Times story below).
… Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump met Wednesday with the families of troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan to hear their concerns about the campaign and broader national security issues.
The private conference, which attendees said lasted about 30 minutes before a rally in Florida, included top Trump defense adviser retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and was organized by Karen Vaughn, the mother of a fallen Navy SEAL and a featured speaker at last month’s Republican convention. Ten parents, siblings and spouses of fallen service members were included.
“It was really a chance to tell our stories, but also talk about problems with the rules of engagem ent [for troops in war zones] and the failed policies of the current administration,” Vaughn said. “I walked out feeling like I understood where his heart is, regardless of the comments that he made that may seem insensitive to some.”
[ … ]
Vaughn said she and other families in the Florida meeting sympathize with Khan, but also feel the ensuing media coverage has overshadowed more important issues for their community.
She accused those supporting Trump’s rival, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, of exaggerating those comments in an effort to cover her own national security shortfalls. Vaughn also lamented what she see as insensitivity toward the families of several Americans killed in the 2012 terrorist attack on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya. Clinton was secretary of State at that time, and she has come under intense scrutiny for what her critics say was gross miscalculation and inaction as the attack occurred.

Three Palm Beach County, Florida, residents were charged with conspiring and attempting to support the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin, U.S. Attorney Wifredo A. Ferrer of the Southern District of Florida, Special Agent in Charge George L. Piro of the FBI’s Miami Field Office and members of the South Florida Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) made the announcement.
Gregory Hubbard, aka Jibreel, 52, of West Palm Beach, Florida; Darren Arness Jackson, aka Daoud, 50, also of West Palm Beach; and Dayne Atani Christian, aka Shakur, 31, of Lake Park, Florida, were charged by a criminal complaint with knowingly conspiring and attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIL. Christian was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The detention hearing will take place on July 27, 2016, and the defendants will be arraigned on Aug. 5, 2016.
“According to the complaint, these defendants conspired and attempted to provide material support to ISIL and one of the defendants was arrested attempting to travel overseas to join and fight for the deadly terrorist organization,” said Assistant Attorney General Carlin. “The National Security Division’s highest priority is countering terrorist threats, and we will continue to work to stem the flow of foreign fighters abroad and bring to justice those who conspire and attempt to provide material support to designated foreign terrorist organizations.”
“Individuals seeking to travel and take up arms with ISIL pose a threat to the United States and humanity across the globe,” said U.S. Attorney Ferrer. “The U.S. Attorney’s Office, the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force continue to work proactively in order to stifle and disrupt any potential danger posed by the terrorist organizations and their supporters.”
“Terrorism-related arrests such as this serve to remind us of the importance of being vigilant,” said Special Agent in Charge Piro. “When you see something that doesn’t seem right, report it to law enforcement. Fighting terrorism is the FBI’s number one priority. Any information that can put us on the trail of individuals intent on terrorist acts is valuable.”
According to the allegations contained in the complaint, Hubbard expressed support for ISIL and told an FBI confidential human source (CHS) that he wanted to travel to Syria and join ISIL for the purpose of engaging in violent jihad. Hubbard introduced the CHS to Christian and Jackson, both of whom provided weapons and firearms instruction to Hubbard and the CHS, whom they understood were preparing to travel overseas to join and fight for ISIL.
The complaint further alleges that Jackson and Christian also expressed a desire to join ISIL. Hubbard purchased an airplane ticket to Germany, where he planned to board a train to Turkey and then head to Syria. Hubbard was arrested on July 21, 2016, at Miami International Airport prior to the first leg of his overseas trip. Jackson, who had driven Hubbard to the airport, was arrested after he left the airport premises. Christian was arrested at his place of work.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
If convicted, the defendants face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for the material support charge. Christian faces a statutory maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted on the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The maximum statutory sentence is prescribed by Congress and is provided here for informational purposes. If convicted of any offense, the sentencing of the defendants will be determined by the court based on the advisory Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The FBI and JTTF investigated the case with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Transportation Security Administration; Miami International Airport Police Department; Boca Raton, Florida, Police Department; Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office; and City of West Palm Beach Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Karen E. Gilbert, Brian K. Frazier and Edward C. Nucci and Trial Attorneys Larry Schneider and David Cora of the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section.

Since your election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2012 until now, I have always known your reputation as a legislator to be one of nothing but respect for the dignity of the institution, for the legislative process and for your fellow colleagues. Even those who firmly disagree with you on matters of public policy speak highly of you, of your talents as a legislator and the unique perspective you bring to the process.
However, after the tragic and despicable acts of evil which took place right down the street from my offices in Orlando on June 12, I was shocked to learn of your repeated statements accusing your fellow legislators of creating an environment that gives rise to such horrible violence when they speak out against any LGBT bills as bad public policy in the Legislature.
After the local NPR affiliate interviewed you, WFSU issued this report:
“Florida’s only openly gay legislator says Orlando’s mass shooting is an example of a deranged individual taking anti-gay political rhetoric to the, “next level.” Democratic Representative David Richardson of Miami Beach says attempts by religious conservatives to roll back recent gains in gay civil rights encourages extremists… “[P]eople who are prone to committing violent acts are emboldened by speeches that they hear from policy makers that want to roll back our advances.”
When I respectfully confronted you on another NPR affiliate radio debate for linking vocal opposition to new LGBT laws with violent acts such as the ones that occurred in Orlando, you initially denied these statements– until I read your words back to you on the air. Then, instead of retracting or apologizing for these irresponsible remarks, you doubled down and repeated the same very offensive and incorrect argument again. In that interview you said,
“I absolutely do think that people are emboldened, by the comments of certain lawmakers whether they are reacting in a violent way…”
While I realize the matter of the Orlando shooting and the topic of creating new LGBT rights are still raw, emotional, and highly personal matters for members of the LGBT community, this in no way justifies these inflammatory remarks which do nothing to foster good will, understanding or collegiality among fellow members of the Legislature, much less the general public. On the contrary, your comments breed divisiveness, sow discord and are an attempt to manipulate and silence robust debate among the other elected leaders of our Legislature on these important policy decisions.
Additionally, you have also stunningly stated:
“It doesn’t help when they go to Tallahassee and spew hatred and rhetoric that is harmful to our community. I really wish we could get to a place where everyone can get along and respect the rights of everybody.”
I personally know many of the members of the Legislature who are known to be the most vocal and the most actively opposed to these bad gay-rights bills.
I have been in some of their homes.
I know their families.
None of them, even in private or casual conversation, make comments that “spew hatred” toward the LGBT community. On the contrary, these are truly some of the finest, most loving and charitable people you could ever know. Do you have specific examples of Florida legislators “spewing hatred” when debating in opposition to the creation of new LGBT rights?
The primary push by gay-rights activists after the Orlando tragedy, as you know, is the so-called “Competitive Workforce Act” (CWA) which seeks to create a new legal protected class for sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. These laws are being used all across the country as weapons to punish Christians who want to live out their constitutionally protected right to free exercise of religion in public life without government interference. Even more egregiously, this CWA bill would also allow fully biological men to freely use women’s locker rooms and showers in any facility declared a public accommodation like YMCA’s, camps, LA Fitness & health clubs and domestic violence shelters. This is a gross invasion of privacy, safety and security for women. The more serious problem created with the CWA has not so much to do with transgendered persons themselves, as it does with actual criminals (voyeurs, sex offenders and pedophiles) who are looking for excuses to go into women’s intimate spaces, which the latest version of this bill would unquestionably allow.
These are just a few of the many legitimate and compelling public policy and constitutional problems which compel legislators to speak out publicly and strongly oppose the CWA. For you to argue that when any legislator speaks out in debate against this dangerous bill they are “spewing hatred,” “encouraging extremism” and “make people prone to violent acts” is simply beyond the pale of decency for a member of the legislative branch of government.
Rep. Richardson, this sir– is not your finest moment.
Is there a way to disagree on these policies and not be judged as hateful or contributing to creating an environment of terror? If we cannot disagree in civility without being slimmed with such accusations, then our civil society has a real problem.
Unless you can provide real examples of such “hateful” behavior, rather than talking about it in generalities, you should stop making these assertions. It is not helpful to this important debate, it is manipulative and pollutes the work we are hopefully both committed to, namely building a better Florida, even in the midst of our disagreements.
You have correctly stated that, “it does not help when [people] go to Tallahassee and spew rhetoric that is harmful.” If you really mean that, please start by reexamining and reconsidering your own harmful words directed to your own colleagues and do not confuse “robust debate” with “hateful rhetoric” just because you disagree.
