The War against Morality, Women and Children

In Florida and across America there is a war going on. No, it is not against the usual suspects. It is a war being conducted by our own elected officials and their supporters against morality. You see a moral people are historically a threat to government. When men want to become Gods they either establish a state religion (sharia Islam) or disestablish the church (secularism). A higher moral code based upon a monotheistic Judeo/Christian God is always a threat to tyrants. It is always the tyrants first and foremost target.

As John Adams wrote, “Public virtue cannot exist in a Nation without private Virtue, and public Virtue is the only Foundation of Republics.”

In America at every political level there are battles being fought against morality and the institutions that are most virtuous – the churches. I received an email from a friend Roger Gangitano from Melbourne, FL. In the email Roger states, “This morning I stopped at Micky D’s to get a cup of coffee, and I sat reading a Florida Today “newspaper” someone had left there. Suddenly, on page 3B, the following bold headline jumped off the page at me; ‘It’s Time To Quit The Catholic Church.’ The opening paragraph started by saying; ‘Will it be reproductive freedom, or back to the dark ages?’ Let’s understand the English here; Reproductive Freedom would imply the freedom to reproduce. But, the whole page, sponsored by Annie Laurie Gaylor and Dan Barker, the co-founders of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, argues for just the opposite! It calls, not only, for the right to end a life, but also claims the Catholic Church discriminates against half of humanity for its doctrines!”

Roger notes, “The second paragraph reads as follows; ‘Why are you aiding and abetting a church that has repeatedly engaged in a crusade to ban contraception, abortion and sterilization, to deny the right of all women everywhere, Catholic or not, to decide whether and when to become mothers?’ But, that’s NOT what the Church says! The Church agrees that any woman can decide whether and when to become a mother. The Catholic Church has taken a stand against a woman reversing her decision AFTER deciding to become a mother and MURDERING her unborn child to reverse her decision!”

“The decision to become a mother was already made, and aborting the child afterwards is not part of the decision making process to become a mother – Abortion is a decision to end being a mother and the ending of her child’s life. A fetus has a heartbeat 18 days after conception, which is usually before a woman even knows she is pregnant. How can it be said that an abortion does NOT kill a life, if the abortion stops a beating heart in an unborn and growing child?” asks Roger.

Abortion is the ultimate taking of property. By aborting a child the progressive is taking the most precious property of all – human life – and with it the future of the unborn to grow, learn, love, create and ultimately procreate.

Progressive Democrats and Republicans alike want to avoid discussing “social issues”. But social issues are all about morality and virtue. If we do not discuss and debate morality and virtue then what is left for us to debate? Is it only about the economy? I contend the economy is a moral issue just as much as is abortion. It is immoral for any government to spend beyond its means and thereby indebt its citizens and future unborn generations. It is immoral for government to enslave its citizens by providing for them rather than them providing for themselves. If someone cannot provide for themselves then the family and church will help. Indebtedness to the family is much different than being in debt to the government.

America is not facing a financial crisis; rather we are facing a crisis of morality.

Brian Sussman in his book Eco-Tyranny puts it best when he writes, “Committed Marxists are convinced that phenomena such as love, passion, value and feelings aren’t real because they’re not composed of matter; even consciousness, and especially faith in God, are simply the result of material interactions within the human mind. Marxists contend that some people are randomly spit out of their mother’s womb with a better brain than most. Those with the best brains have a Darwinian authority to rule over those with lesser brains, lest those with deficient brains destroy the planet and kill one another; thus, the need for a heavy-handed form of government loaded with burdensome regulations, and the perfect excuse for socialism, communism and fascism.”

Progressives believe that life decisions must be a government function and is not an unalienable right. Abortion, contraception and sterilization are governmental tools for one purpose – to reduce the population to a “sustainable” level.

The column that Roger read is the perfect example of this failed and false ideology that many progressives embrace as the only real truth. You see beliefs like what is moral has no value in a progressive government and those who promote it. Morality and thereby virtue are relative. The real battle being fought today is for the very soul of our Republican form of government. It is a war that the church is now awakening to as they now understand that it is they who are under assault. On Friday, June 8, 2012 a second round of Freedom of Religion rallies is being held across America. Floridians will be joined by tens of thousands of other patriots to fight back against immorality and the death and destruction it ultimately brings with it.
