The United West introduces a new series entitled – “Warriors for the West,” which features individuals who have impacted the national security of Western countries usually against the threat of Islamic Jihad.

Today we present General Aharon Ze’evi-Farkash, former head of Israeli Intelligence who sat down with me for a very detailed discussion about Israel, America and the West.

Aharon Ze’evi-Farkash (Hebrew: אהרן זאבי-פרקש‎) who was born in 1948 is an Israeli general. He was the head of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman) from 2002 to 2006.

Ze’evi-Farkash was born in Romania. He received a B.A. and M.A. in Middle East and Islam Studies from Tel Aviv University, as well as an AMP/ISMP from Harvard Business School. He commanded the IDF Technological and Logistics Branch and the IDF Planning Branch. He is head of the Intelligence and National Defense Program of the Tel Aviv University’s Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).
