President Obama Bans the use of Guns in all Films, Television Shows and Video Games

After the tragic shooting at an Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina President Obama has issued an Executive Order to ban the use of guns in all Hollywood films, television shows and video games. The White House issued the following statement:

“It is time to eliminated the root cause of guns violence in America. It is time to make Hollywood a ‘gun free zone’. It is for the greater good of the American people that families and our children are not exposed to wanton gun violence in film, on television and in video games.

It is the proper role of government to deny gun use by Hollywood actors, screen writers, directors and producers for the welfare of all.

It is time for the Terminator to be terminated.”

The White House is considering whether to extend its ban on the use of guns to the music industry.

Michael Bloomberg, founder of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, supported the President’s decision stating, “I support President Obama’s efforts to remove guns from all media. I am frustrated by Hollywood producing more films involving gun violence, which works against efforts by organizations such as Mayors Against Illegal Guns. All guns in the media should be considered illegal and anyone using one must be tried by the Department of Justice to the full extent of the law. Additionally, from this point on Bloomberg will no longer use the word gun in any of our publications. The word gun, phrases such as gun violence and shooting will be stricken from our style manuals.”

The American Screen Writers Association and the ACLU issued a statement warning against this unprecedented violation of Hollywood’s Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms while on camera. The ACLU statement warned, “We are on a very slippery slope when anyone denies the right of screen writers to use guns in scripts and the right of actors to keep and bear arms while on screen. President Obama is clearly violating the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. We plan on initiating a lawsuit against this illegal Executive Order. We hope that the Ninth District takes up our lawsuit and provides a stay order on President Obama’s illegal action.”

The Screen Actors Guild is concerned about the loss of jobs due to President Obama’s Executive Order. Screen Actor’s Guild President Ken Howard warned, “This Executive Order will cause a collapse of the film industry and massive loss of jobs. Those actors and actresses, film crews and support persons who provide the silver screen audience with great action films, such as Die Hard, The Expendables, Lethal Weapon, The Godfather, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, James Bond and Fast and Furious to name a few, will now find themselves out of work. This will devastate the film industry and harm our union workers.”

The Walt Disney Company, owners of the Star Wars franchise, has petitioned President Obama to exempt light sabers, Jedi mind control and the force from the ban.

The National Rifle Association in a press release stated:

All Hollywood actors, screen writers, directors and producers must be immediately subject to background checks. Due to the criminal backgrounds and drug abuse by many in Hollywood, it is imperative that gun use be tightly controlled in Hollywood.

We support President Obama in his efforts to control violence in the media.

The NRA will be partnering with the President and Democratic members of Congress to provide over-site during the implementation of his Executive Order banning all use of guns in the media. NRA members may now report violations on a White House hotline 800- Gun Free or via Twitter #GunFreeHollywood.

The NRA thanks President Obama for making Hollywood a gun free zone.

Hillary Clinton issued the following statement:

EDITORS NOTE: This column is political satire. It is appropriate using satire to turn the tables on those wanting to implement gun control on law abiding citizens but not special interest groups such as Hollywood. Please leave a comment if you wish.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Christian martyrs who died and their families in Charleston. Christianity is under attack in America. This is a sad and bloody example of that persecution.

It says everything about the intellectual prowess of your intended audience that you have to identify this as satire for them. Secondly, merely getting shot by some other whackjob does not make you a martyr, even if your death was wholly undeserved, but I understand and share the feeling behind your perceived sense of loss and moral outrage. Even more ridiculous is that your “satire” breaks down immediately by anyone with two firing neurons who is prone immediately to note that while gun violence kills citizens every day for real in this country of wife-beaters and Home Depot vigilantes, in Hollywood, it’s all pretend. The idea that “Hollywood” (as if that were even a collective entity) being a “special interest group” is as absurd as it is flawed, especially when one considers the very real clout of the uber-funded NRA, which has been protecting gun wielders from control and consequences for decades and really does have the kind of collective clout to buy policy. While the NRA successfully lobbies to prevent pediatricians from asking about guns in the home so they can talk to them about protecting their kids, you’re on a rant about playacting in movies. So if you really hate the idea of “Christian martyrs,” you would support, rather than revile, gun control. But that would be logical, and we just can’t have that. Far better that a two-year-old caps his/her moms in Wal-Mart with own concealed weapon than act like there is anything amiss with real gun ownership.

I agree, satire, first of all, should be written in a way where most people are in on the joke. I find the “satirical” sites just not funny. They are too absurd. It’s just like good comedy–the audience has to be in on the joke, otherwise the comedian is only entertaining himself.

This is the problem with America today. Often posting something without reading it. Read to the end folks! It’s satire. Completely made up. These sites exist to make you think. Nothing more, nothing less. The topic of gun control is a hot button one, and deserves our consideration, but not at the expense of a civilized discussion on the issue.

As satire goes, the author hit the nail on the head, to anyone who would actually agree with this ,stop for a moment and ask yourself this one question. What is causing more harm to america right now..Race baiting, the constant political BS of blaming racism for everything. The division of all of us by our beliefs, or guns. We can remove all guns, and the violence will continue to take place. Anger is being stroked daily with cries of racism. Michelle obama has told many graduating classes this spring, her story about experiencing racism. after becoming first lady she dressed in a pair of jeans and t shirt to go shopping at Target. A woman asked her if she could help her to get something off of a high shelf. Michelle claims that this would never have happened to any other first lady. The white woman automatically believed her to be an eployee because she is black. First of all, if the woman WAS racist, she would not have asked black person. 2nd, just because someone asked her for help, does not mean they thought she worked there, I ask ppl for help all the time, not just employees of the store I am shopping at. And finally, no one would have expected the first lady of the US to be at Target in jeans and a t shirt. She is reaching for a false narrative. Yes, there is racism and violence in America. Stroking the flames will help no one, just as removing legal guns will also not stop it. He, obama, is a hypocrit. He has purposely spent his time as president seperating white and black and now he is shocked that a crazy person resorted to violence, obama created this. His executive orders disallowing black to be disciplined in schools, sending 30 – 40 representatives to black funerals, funerals of criminals while he refuses to even meet the planes carrying dead soldiers, his constant defense of islam over Christianity are just a few of his policies that have angered and frightened America, add all that up and the crazies will act. But black is also doing acts of extreme violence against white, but the media refuses to even report on it. Many whites were killed by the knock out game, whites are being assaulted across the country just because they are white. This is what has to stop or the violence will just get worse, with or without guns

It has always seemed paradoxical to me that people (in this case Christians) who profess belief in a (specific) higher power, as their “Lord & Savior” and as the god they believe in, trust, and pray to for safekeeping, are the most aggressive proponents of gun control. To my way of thinking, a person either has faith in the power of their god to protect them and assure their safekeeping, or they don’t. If they feel a need for weapons, they obviously don’t have the necessary faith. If they try to justify a need for weapons, while, at the same time professing a belief that their God is all powerful and will protect them, they are, by definition, hypocrites. There is nothing complicated about it.
