Black Lies Matter

Except in the world of theology possibly, black lies and white lies mean a world of difference.  Except in the world of theology possibly and in the world of political reality, black lies and white lies, as we were taught to differentiate between these two broad classification schemes, lie worlds apart from each other.

As we were taught from infancy or toddler-hood onward, black lies were hurtful and destructive; they cause the loss of trust and could cause the loss of life and reputation.  They might entail the kinds of lies told when we cheat on an exam or steal or cause bodily or monetary harm to someone else, even accidentally.  How many black lies have been told in how many criminal cover-ups for how many years just recently?  No one could accurately approximate the number of black lies spread, for instance, in the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey or in Operation Fast and Furious.  These are black lies that kill.

As we were taught throughout our childhood years, white lies are sometimes false compliments to a friend to cheer him up or untruths said to cover up the fact that we honestly forgot an important birthday or anniversary.  These are lies, for the most part, that are meant to create peace and harmony within families and between friends.  Truly, they are lies, but their logical consequences do not rob another of his life or his reputation.

Then there are the lies that are as black as a black hole, which, depending upon their source, are given a pass by society.  When icon Margaret Sanger, for example, created a mechanism to reduce or eliminate undesirables, meaning primarily poor persons and dark-skinned citizens of the United States, from our midst, her racist and filthy writings and speeches were given a blank check to pass on for generations to come.

Margaret Sanger, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alfred Kinsey, the Rockefellers, Roosevelts, and virtually all of the political and ruling class of America were eugenics zealots against disposable human beings, intolerables, deplorables, degenerates, undesirables, as the underclass was called by the upper class for 100 years and counting.  The tie that bound all of these elitist leaders to each other was their mutual belief that undesirables had no right to reproduce or to born at all, and one’s status as an undesirable was immutable by birth due to hereditary poverty or racial inheritance.

None other than beloved Teddy Roosevelt wrote with fanatical conviction to a prominent attorney of the time:  “… society has no business to permit degenerates to reproduce their kind … permit[ting] unlimited breeding from the worst stocks, physically and morally,….”

In 1927, one U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, esteemed by the world, epitomized the pervasive elitist belief system known as eugenics in his haunting immortal and immoral words of law, subsequently causing untold thousands of young poor or dark-skinned persons to lose their reproductive capabilities at the ends of blades held in the hands of merciless physicians for most of the twentieth century:

It is better for all the world if, instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind…. Three generations of imbeciles are enough.

Black lies really, really matter today and always because they are filthy means to isolate, segregate, and discriminate against fellow human beings who are reduced by lies to sub-human status.  And so our world that constantly blurs black and white lies with endless shades of gray because of the sources of the lies is exemplifying and modeling to our children that truth is simply relative to its source.

Sources of black lies that are upper class are deemed or treated as acceptable, even a member of Congress who wantonly exposes his body through electronic means.  How many years has society given him a pass to commit crimes … or a football coach who preys for decades upon boys desperate to find an admirable role model?  How many black lies covered up the heinous crimes committed upon these suffering children?  How many sports fans still give this football coach a pass for all of his touchdowns upon fatherless boys?

There is really only one question to ask of ourselves …. Do black lies matter, or do they no longer matter when they are told by the upper echelons of the sports world, academia, politicians, and social elites?  Ask the question, and then tell the answer to every one of your children and grandchildren, present and future, that they may walk through their lives knowing the legacy you have left them.

If black lies do not matter anymore then neither do Black lives or White or Yellow or Red ….
