VIDEO: Ziegler running to become Chair of the Republican Party of Florda

Florida has gone red but not deep red.

According to the Florida Department of State Division of Elections Donald J. Trump won 49% of the Sunshine State over Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 47.8%, a narrow margin of 1.2%. Donald Trump received 4,617,886 votes while Hillary Clinton received 4,504,975 votes.

So how does a Republican win a statewide election? How do Republicans go from 49% to 60% of the votes in 2020?

Christian Ziegler, candidate for the Republican Party of Florida believes it is through a grass roots machine that produces at the ballot box via Florida’s 67 county parties.

During the 2018 midterm elections the Governorship and one U.S. Senate seat will be on the statewide ballot. Will Republicans win both of these seats?

Perhaps Republicans can take heart in the fact that Senator Marco Rubio won re-election by a margin of 52.0%.

State Committeeman Christian Ziegler sits down with Zac Anderson from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune to discuss his campaign to serve as the next Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida.
