Blood Money: Sudan Hires U.S. Lobbyist to roll back sanctions

Disgusting. Washington, D.C. law firm Squire Paton Boggs inks a $40,000 a month retainer to lobby for Sudan regime of indicted war criminal President Omar al Bashir endeavoring to keep the Obama Administration lifting of economic sanctions in place as the 180 day look back period ends on July 12th.

Following which the Trump Administration can either continue the monitoring of the situation or reimpose them if there is evidence,. There has indeed been much evidence of that we have reported in a number of New English Review articles and Iconoclast posts. from the conflict zones of Darfur and Nuba Mountains from colleagues Lt. Gen. Abakar M. Abdullah Chairman of the Sudan United Movement and Deborah Martin .

As John Pendergast of Enough Project cited in this Foreign Policy article says, the Squire Paton Boggs retainer by the Sudan regime of President Bashir amounts to “blood money”

You may have seen our post of the MSNBC Greta van Susteren “On the Record” segment on genocide in Sudan with intrepid journalist Boyette reporting on the rampage by the Rapid Support Force/Janjaweed mujihadeen force in Jebel Marra region of Darfur and Former Congressman Frank Wolf, the former head of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission. They gave first hand evidence of the calumnies and rapine committed against indigenous black African people by Bashir.

As we keep pounding away, Bashir has killed over 400,000 in Darfur and displaced more than 4 million imperiled indigenous black African people. Further he has recruited a veritable Army of upwards of 150,000 mujihaden from the Sahel region, north Africa and Al Qaeda and Islamic State fighters to ethnically cleanse Darfur, Nuba Mountains, Kordofon and the Blue Nile regions of indigenous black African peoples.

That is the first step before invading adjacent states in the Sahel with the objective of creating a Caliphate ruled under Sharia Islamic Law from Khartoum. All supported by billions of dollars of alleged develop, ment projects with the backing of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other leading members of the Arab League.

The absurdity of it all is the Obama Administration lifted the economic sanction because of alleged counterterrorism assistance, information on the whereabouts of Joseph Kony of the Lords Resistance Army. Especially when Sudan resistance leaders like Gen Abakar knew where the Bashir regime was harboring Kony. That information was passed on to US Africom with no response.

Perhaps time to bring the key leaders of the Sudan Resistance to Washington to present first hand evidence to the Congress and the Administration of Bashir’s genocidal jihad calumnies .

As Khartoum tries to convince the Trump administration it’s worth more as a counter-terror partner than as a designated sponsor of terrorism.
