Video exposes Illinois Democrat running for Congress who supports an X-rated sex columnist who wished Republicans “were all [expletive] dead.”

WASHINGTON, Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Family Research Council Action PAC launched a social media blitz today in response to congressional candidate Sean Casten’s praise of Dan Savage, an X-rated sex columnist who once said he wished Republicans “were all [expletive] dead.”

In what looks to be one of the closest U.S. House races in the country, Casten is challenging incumbent Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) in Illinois’s 6th Congressional District. In a recent debate when Casten was asked to name a leader who inspires him, he named Dan Savage. Casten’s opponent, U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.), is a recipient of FRC Action’s “True Blue Award” for his support of faith, family, and freedom.

Family Research Council Action PAC’s Vice President of Communications, J.P. Duffy commented:

“Congressional candidate Sean Casten says he ’embraces’ and ‘stands’ with Dan Savage who is best known for his vulgar and bullying attacks against people of faith. Savage has even advocated for violence and said he wished Republicans ‘were all [expletive] dead.’ It’s disturbing that a candidate for U.S. Congress would give a platform to Savage’s extreme views. This video is Dan Savage in his own words. Sean Casten embraces Dan Savage — and as the video says, it’s now up to voters to decide who they will embrace on Election Day,” concluded Duffy.
