VIDEO: Biden Undermines Rule of Law

President Biden began his presidency with a disturbing inauguration speech that signaled his administration will target any political opponents who reject his radical agenda. This would be a continuation of Obama-era practices, which saw the Obama IRS, DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc. used to target Obama opponents ranging from small citizen Tea Party groups to then-candidate Donald Trump. Indeed, that virtually no ordinary Americans were allowed to view the proceedings in person thanks to a politicized military shutdown of our nation’s capital doesn’t augur well for this Republic and our civil liberties.

And then Biden immediately undermined the rule of law by shutting down virtually all deportations and essentially ending all enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. You can read the details here.

And, of course, Biden’s mere presence in office is a challenge to the rule of law because of his personal corruption issues.

There is substantial evidence, from documents and witness statements, that the Biden family, including President Joe Biden, may have been involved in criminal activity involving, among other issues, foreign entities tied to Ukraine and China.

Joe Biden’s son Hunter has already acknowledged that he is the target of an FBI criminal investigation. (Judicial Watch was the first to document that Hunter took five trips to China while his father was vice president!)

A special counsel should immediately be appointed because the Biden Justice Department is conflicted in investigating any matter that could implicate President Biden or his immediate family. The fact that it hasn’t happened yet tells you a lot about the partisan corruption of the Justice Department and FBI.

To increase pressure for the rule of law and to educate more Americans, Judicial Watch created a petition on Change.org calling on the Department of Justice to create a special counsel to investigate the Biden Family. Our petition continues to grow! More than 85,000 have signed, and you can too here. Be sure also to share it widely. Achieving one million signatures is within our reach!

In the meantime, you can trust Judicial Watch to do what it does best – which is to use the courts to hold corrupt politicians such as Joe Biden accountable to the law. We have dozens of lawsuits and hundreds of Freedom of Information Act requests already pending – and more are coming. For example, we are NOT going to forget about the Obama/Biden spy abuse and other sedition against the Trump administration and the Constitution.

Judicial Watch and I (and you, dear supporter, with Biden’s implicit support) have been targeted for Big Tech censorship and suppression because of our demonstrated record of success.

Biden Advisor Ranked Mao Zedong among ‘Favorite Political Philosophers’

Keep your eye on China.

A national counterintelligence official reportedly warned President Biden that China poses a “more severe” threat to the country than any other American foe and that it will represent one of his administration’s “biggest challenges.”

And then there are Hunter Biden’s scandalous dealings with China that implicate his father.

In addition, a member of Biden’s team (and Obama’s before him) thought favorably of the blood thirsty communist dictator Mao Zedong. Our Corruption Chronicles blog has the details:

In a scary preview of what lies ahead, a cherished senior advisor to President Joe Biden ranked murderous Communist dictator Mao Zedong among her “favorite political philosophers.” The egregious admission actually forced the veteran political operative, Anita Dunn, to resign as Obama’s White House communications director over a decade ago and now she’s back along with a lengthy roster of leftist officials who served under the 44th president. Dunn sticks out among the group because she publicly praised the Chinese Communist revolutionary responsible for killing tens of millions and it was caught on video.

The scandalous delivery occurred during a commencement address at a high school in Washington D.C. while Dunn worked for the American people. Here is what she said: “The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa – not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you’re going to make choices; you’re going to challenge; you’re going to say, ‘Why not?’; you’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.” A conservative media outlet was the first to broadcast the clip and Dunn quit under pressure after just seven months in the Obama White House. Dunn’s return to Pennsylvania Avenue comes after serving as the senior advisor to Biden’s presidential campaign and co-chair of the Biden-Harris transition team.

Dunn was a key advisor on all aspects of the presidential campaign, including messaging, debate preparation, and overall strategy, according to an announcement issued by the Biden-Harris transition this month. She was also a “key strategist” to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign before becoming White House communications director in 2009. “Dunn has also served in a variety of roles in and out of government for former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle and former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley,” the press release states. The document includes comments from Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris about the group of appointees that include Dunn. “Speaking honestly, with empathy, and directly to the public about our administration will be among the key pillars in this Presidency and White House,” Biden says. “At a time when American families are facing numerous challenges, these appointees will strengthen our administration’s ability to convey information to the American people and be integral in our team’s efforts to build our nation back better.” Harris refers to the group as “dedicated public servants” that will help “deliver on our commitment to contain the coronavirus pandemic, create an economy that works for working people, and rebuild our country in a way that lifts up all Americans.”

Not surprisingly, the announcement fails to mention the admiration that one of the commander-in-chief’s top advisors has expressed for an infamous Communist whose legacy is that of a mass murderer. Mao’s Communist revolution is responsible for tens of millions of deaths and his disastrous plan to transform China into a Communist wonderland by ordering the collectivization of the country’s agriculture resulted in millions of Chinese starving to death. Ironically known as the “Great Leap Forward,” Communist leaders made owning private land illegal and emphasized iron and steel production, forcibly removing millions of agriculture workers from their land, and deploying them to factories. It was the “most inhumane example of Mao’s contempt for human life” according to a prominent historian.

A few years after that catastrophe Mao launched the bloody cultural revolution to destroy his enemies. Gangs known as the Red Guards beat up or murdered Intellectuals considered to be enemies of the state. Teachers were humiliated by having their faces covered in ink, their bodies draped in bizarre clothes, and a dunce cap. Some were forced to get down on all fours and bark like dogs. Others were beaten to death, all in the name of Maoism. In the meantime. Mao expanded China’s large system of forced labor camps which saw tens of millions of Chinese die because of primitive living conditions and inhumane workdays. For a senior advisor to an American president to ever rank the ruthless dictator among her favorite political philosophers is downright disturbing.

2021 Forecast: Four Fights to Watch

We don’t know for sure what a Biden presidency will bring but given the current pandemic of corruption here in DC, we can make some reasonable forecasts. Micah Morrison, our chief investigative reporter, sets out in his Investigative Bulletin four issues we’re sure to confront.

A new president was sworn in yesterday and despite our differences, we wish him well. President Biden has signaled he’ll embark on an ambitious agenda. Here are four fights we’ll be closely watching:

The battle over borders. Biden immediately threw down the gauntlet with a big move on immigration. He announced plans to send to Congress a sweeping immigration bill that includes far-reaching amnesty provisions, a fast track for Dreamers, expanded access to the United States, and whiffs on border security. Conservative rejection was swift. “A mass amnesty with no safeguards and no strings attached is a nonstarter,” said Senator Chuck Grassley. Biden signed a flurry of first-day executive actions, including rescinding the travel ban, rolling back immigration enforcement, and halting construction on the border wall.

The battle over Big Tech. As the world now knows, with days left in his presidency, Donald Trump was banned by Twitter, suspended by Facebook, and kicked off YouTube and Snapchat—an effective silencing of the president of the United States. Many other conservative voices have been silenced too. Judicial Watch’s own Tom Fitton was suspended from Twitter for an innocuous tweet about hydroxychloroquine—the exact same tweet that Tom had repeatedly posted and that Twitter had found in September to be not in violation of its rules. Big Tech’s concentration of power and impact on free speech has become too blatant to ignore. In 2021, watch for the battle over Big Tech to move to Congress and the courts.

The battle over Trump. The former president has decamped to Florida, but he is certain to stay in the news. He leaves a legacy of conservative judges, deregulation, and economic growth. His adversaries are circling with a second impeachment trial, a criminal investigation by the Manhattan district attorney, a federal tax probe, defamation lawsuits, and an assault on his worldwide business holdings. The harassment and troubles will not cease, but he remains a potent force in Republican politics. How will he use that power? The political world will be watching closely.

The battle over Biden. With his son’s business dealings—including with the controversial Ukrainian energy firm Burisma – under FBI investigation, President Biden’s Justice Department faces pressure to hand off the probe to a special counsel, a development that will engulf the new administration in controversy. On the legislative front, as an old Washington hand, the new president knows that the window of opportunity closes fast. Next January, will President Biden have a record of legislative achievement, the pandemic erased, the economy growing? Or will he be seen as feckless and wavering, unable to achieve his goals, captive to his party’s left-wing?

Time will tell.

The view from here: doubling down on a Senate impeachment trial while pursuing a politically risky immigration deal is not a smart start.
