How I Get the Word Out You can help!

I had an engaging conversation with a young Millennial the other day and she was fascinated by the breadth and content of my involvement in several societal issues. (These are topics like our Energy options, the truth about Climate, K-12 Education, Election Integrity, our Health Policies [e.g., COVID], Science, Religion, etc.)

She then asked: How do you communicate all the good information you have, so that more people can profit from it? That’s a great question! What good are insightful ideas if few people know about them?

My answer was, here are some ways that I’m trying to communicate with the public:

1 – I have three major websites where there are studies, articles, videos, and other worthwhile materials pertaining to the website’s topic (WiseEnergy.orgElection-Integrity.info, and C19Science.info).

2 – I have published a twice-a-month Media Balance Newsletter for fifteen (15) years now! In each of these, I pass on what I believe are interesting studies, reports, and articles (generally from other people) about the topics I cover. I emphasize having materials that you will not likely find in mainstream media. Although it takes me a LOT of time to research and put together every issue, it’s free. To my knowledge, there is no other publication like this in the US.

Note: I’ve given permission for several sites to republish my Newsletter — e.g., Dr. Rich Swier and Master Resource. These increase the coverage, and the more citizens are educated, the better our chances are of prevailing on these issues. If you’d like to republish my Newsletter, please send me an email.

3 – I have a Substack column (here!) where I write commentary roughly twice a week. The subject is Critically Thinking about Select Societal Issues. Although most Substack authors charge for their content, mine is free.

Check out the Archives of my Substack, which is a chronological list of my prior commentaries over the last 2± years. You can easily search these by topic (e.g., “wind energy”).

4 – I have written over a hundred articles, that have been published in other sources. For example, this post on the popular Master Resource blog has reportedly had more views than any other article they have published since its inception. (Note: I do this less now that most of my writings appear in this Substack column.)

5 – In some cases I’ve put together Reports, which are much more detailed research and analyses of important topics. Here is an example, which is about fixing our K-12 education system. I list some of these in my Newsletter, and periodically here.

6 – I have given well over a hundred talks in the US and Canada, on a variety of issues (Energy to Education to Election Integrity). For example, I spoke at the world famous Chautauqua Institution, on election integrity.) I’ve never charged for any of those.

7 – I have been on over two hundred podcasts, radio, and TV shows. These cover the same topics I cover — and here is a relatively recent example, from Australia.

8 – Personal interactions. These would be communications via emails, texts, phone calls and/or in-person discussions — like I was having with this young lady. Although I get 200+ emails a day, I peruse them all and respond where it seems appropriate.

9 – Due to severe time constraints, etc., I’m very selective about what organizations I belong to. For example, I’m a member of the CO2 Coalition as they appreciate and pass on my contributions. They have a committee on K-12 education, which I actively participate in.

10- I support political candidates who are on the same page about these societal issues. I often communicate with them so that their understanding of such matters is more refined.

A good example is that I am actively working with underdog Conservative candidate, Michele Morrow, to help her become the next North Carolina Superintendent of K-12 schools. (Your financial support would be greatly appreciated!)

11 – Misc. For example, I have been appointed to a State (NC) Commission. This gives me an opportunity to not only share my views, but to also have some small influence on state policies (in this case energy matters).

12 – YOU! Yes, you are the most important vehicle for countering mainstream media misinformation.

I’m a BIG believer that informed allies working together is what’s needed to win on these important issues. In other words, the more good people who are current on societal issues, the better our chances are of fixing them. Your help in getting your friends and associates signed up for the Newsletter and this Substack is appreciated and helpful. (See this recent commentary where I offered some incentives!)
