Bradenton, Florida: Capital of Anti-Semitism, Murder Capital 2024, Hurricane Capital

On this eve of Judaism’s most sacred day, Yom Kippur — the Day of Atonement — many may still believe that sins and crimes against Jews will remain unpunished, as they have for decades in Bradenton, Florida, which has now earned three well-deserved titles:

  1. Florida’s Capital of Antisemitism
  2. Florida’s Murder Capital 2024
  3. Florida’s Hurricane Capital

Who would believe that it is just an inconvenient coincidence that Bradenton has been struck by two devastating hurricanes in two weeks, the second of which is happening during the Holy Days of Awe between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, when we must atone for our sins, individual and collective?

In Bradenton, Florida lawyer, Jorge Martinez, mocked the decades of antisemitic persecution against our Holocaust Survivor family as “religious-based nonsense,” with no judicial repercussions.

In Bradenton, there are no known indictments or prosecutions of decades of crimes against Jews.

In Bradenton, Jews can be robbed of thousands of Jewish property items without any law officer, official, judge, legislator, governor, or administrator raising a single objection … Ever.

The sounds of silence opposing Jew-hatred are everywhere in Bradenton.

Perhaps, it is The Almighty Who has raised quite an objection to relentless sins and crimes against Jews in Bradenton with His force and fury. Perhaps this was the last resort “for such a time as this” in an unrepentant society during the Ten Days of Awe and Penitence.
