NEW ORLEANS: Where Was The FBI?

As my wife Christina and I started to walk back from the fireworks in our small north-east Florida town early on New Year’s Eve, she gently steered me up onto the sidewalk.

“I don’t think we should be walking in the street,” she said. “Not with all these people.”

We had discussed many times the jihadi Muslim attacks on markets in Europe, so I knew exactly what she meant. Indeed, a young American acquaintance of ours had been walking the streets of Nice on July 14, 2016, when a jihadi Muslim drove a 19-ton truck into the crowds on the Promenade des Anglais, killing 86 people and injuring 434 others.

Even our tiny village in the south of France installed bollards on the main streets to prevent vehicle attacks after that.

So why hadn’t the police in New Orleans protected Bourbon Street? And more importantly, why hadn’t the FBI trained local law enforcement how to prevent jihadi vehicle attacks?

I think I know the answer. Because to Team Obama and Team Biden, Islam is not a threat.

“According to the intelligence community, terrorism from White supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not al Qaeda — White supremacists,” Biden said in June 2021.

You could almost call it the Biden Doctrine. Let’s unleash the full force of the FBI and our criminal justice on the J6 trespassers and their White Supremacist buddies and close our eyes to everything else. Now, America, we are safe!

A whole legion of FBI employees employed in DEI programs have vowed to resign should Kash Patel get confirmed as FBI director by the Senate. I hope they all walk out together, arm in arm and chanting. Americans will be astonished to see just how many they are. What a disgrace.

I can tell you from my own experience that the FBI has shut down investigations into real threats posed by, say, Iranian regime agents operating in the United States.

The FBI asked me for help in tracking these networks and in running agents against the Iranian regime in the early days of the first Trump administration, a story I tell in my new book, The Iran House. They even polygraphed me to have better confidence in the information I was providing them on Iranian regime plans.

They ultimately provided information from my network to the White House that led to the elimination of Iran’s biggest terrorist, Quds Force commander Qassem Suleymani, on January 3, 2020.

Eighteen months into the Biden administration, all of that was gone. The FBI had no more interest in actively running targets against Tehran. Of course not: the Biden White House was trying to negotiate a deal with the mullahs!

The pro-Biden media is touting a story this week about “secret” White House planning to attack Iranian nuclear facilities before Biden leaves office. According to Axios, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan presented Biden with options for an attack on Iran if the Iranians accelerated their enrichment of uranium to weapons grade.

Why now? The Iranians have been enriching uranium to 60%, which is just a few spins of the centrifuge away from weapons grade, for the past four years.

I think I know the answer to that one, too. Biden is hoping to so thoroughly entangle Donald Trump in wars and debt and self-destructive open borders that it will take him four years to right the ship, by which point of course he will be leaving office.

The honeymoon is over. Democrats in the Senate are vowing to block as many of President Trump’s nominees as they can, leaving our country without a national security team at a moment of great peril.

We also learned this week that Communist China has set up a vast network of manufacturers and shippers to supply the Houthis in Yemen with sophisticated missiles and drones, so they can continue to attack Western ships in the Red Sea and shut down traffic through the Suez Canal.

Since when has a president of the United States stood by and done nothing as a two-bit terror group shut down one of the world’s most important waterways? And yet, the Houthi assaults on international shipping have been going on for over a year.

January 20 will bring momentous change to our nation, and to the world. It can’t come soon enough.
