HAMAS IS HAMAN IS AMALEK IS IRAN: “You Shall Not Forget!”

As the Jews just celebrated the festive holiday of “Purim,” meaning “lots,” we reflect upon the seeming “lots” or “lottos” in life; but Jews do not believe that life is a “lotto,” that we are or are not lucky. Rather, we are or are not making freewill choices within Divine parameters or against Divine boundaries that bless us or curse us.

Even when our freewill choices are in keeping with Divine dictates, the outcomes may be sorrowful to our human under-standing, but that is precisely the issue, as we cannot possibly fathom all of the factors unknown to us … a myriad of facts behind the realities that we can see. Only One knows these myriads, not mortal minds. For it is written for all times and all mortals, “The secret things belong to the L-rd our G-d, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

What is “revealed … to us and to our children forever” is that Hamas is Haman is Amalek that “you shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!” Just as wicked Haman plotted the genocide of the Jewish People in Ancient Persia-Iran, Hamas-Iran now plots the genocide of Jews from earth; but have we forgotten their “injustice” and “abomination” so recently inflicted on infants beheaded in their cribs, mothers sliced in their beds, children made orphans before their eyes, Holocaust Survivors brutalized by barbarians swarming everywhere, girls violated in jest of the Jews, homes obliterated, and Jewish desolation in the Holy Land and desecration in the halls of academia and the streets throughout America?

On Purim and forevermore, we are commanded, “You shall not forget” what “injustice” and “abomination” Amalek wrought upon “weary” Jews. But how easy it is to forget Amalek even when Amalek pervades about us.

The Bible records for all times, Deuteronomy 25:

16 For whoever does these things, whoever perpetrates such injustice, is an abomination to the L-rd, your G-d.

17 You shall remember what Amalek did to you on the way, when you went out of Egypt,

18 How he happened upon you on the way and cut off all the stragglers at your rear, when you were faint and weary, and he did not fear G-d.

19[Therefore,] it will be, when the L-rd your G-d grants you respite from all your enemies around [you] in the land which the L-rd, your G-d, gives to you as an inheritance to possess, that you shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!

THE LINEAGE OF EVIL FROM BIBLICAL TO CURRENT:

The Angel of the L-rd declared of Ishmael, Genesis 16:12, “He shall be a wild donkey of a man, his hand against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”

The nephew of Ishmael is Esau. The son-in-law of Ishmael is Esau. The descendants of Esau are the Amalekites. The descendant of the Amalekites is Haman of Persia-Iran.

The Amalekites of today are Hamas-Iran.

Exodus 17:

14 The L-rd said to Moses, Inscribe this [as] a memorial in the Book … that I will surely obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens.

15 Then Moses built an altar, and he named it The L-rd is my Miracle.

16 And he said, “For there is a hand on the throne of the Eternal, [that there shall be] a war for the L-rd against Amalek from generation to generation.”

In every generation, there shall be “a war for the L-rd against Amalek” and “you shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!”

Today’s “war for the L-rd” stretches before us, and our duties are written – blot out the name of Amalek from beneath the heavens and never forget!
