ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT ON IDF OPERATION IN GAZA
Prime Minister’s Office has issued this official statement:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz have instructed the IDF to act forcefully against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.
This was after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all the offers it received from the US presidential envoy, Steve Witkoff, and from the mediators.
The IDF is currently attacking targets of the Hamas terrorist organization throughout the Gaza Strip, with the aim of achieving the war goals as determined by the political echelon, including the release of all our hostages – living and dead.
From now on, Israel will act against Hamas with increasing military force.
The operational plan was presented last weekend by the IDF, and approved by the political echelon.

Defense Minister Yisrael Katz on the background of IDF activity in Gaza:
“Tonight we returned to fighting in Gaza due to Hamas’ refusal to release the hostages and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities.”
If Hamas does not release all the hostages, the gates of hell will open in Gaza, and Hamas murderers and rapists will meet the IDF with forces they have never known before.
“We will not stop fighting until all the kidnapped return home and all the war goals are achieved.”
The operation planned by the Air Force is complex, and is intended to attack dozens of targets simultaneously, in order to maximize the damage to as many terrorists as possible.
The emphasis in the air operation is the surprise for Hamas, after hundreds of new targets were collected in the two months of the ceasefire, and over 20,000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were identified and redeployed in the Gaza Strip.
