Zionists Must Join in Denouncing Years of Prosecution against Israeli Hero Bibi Netanyahu

Many decades ago, when Bibi and I were much younger, he spoke at a Zionist home in Indianapolis, and I was an eyewitness to the proud history of Israel and its devoted leadership for decades. It was impossible to miss the fervent love of Israel in Bibi’s passionate authentic speech and in his eyes filled with zeal. He is the real thing – a Zionist to his core, every fiber of his being wringing with loyalty to his Land, his People, and The Almighty who never slumbers in His watching over the Jews.

My dear friend and Founder of Israel’s Begin-Sadat Center, Dr. Thomas Hecht, spoke frequently about his relationships with Ben Gurion, Golda Meir, Menachem Begin, and Bibi, always with a hearty laugh, big smile, and sparkling eyes, recalling Bibi’s wit and vigor. I, as a Jew persecuted by antisemitism unpunished for decades, can only say that Bibi is a great, great Jewish leader, who has lived his life to bless Israel and multitudes of Jews like me with stamina and steadfastness to fight endlessly for our sacred rights to live as Jews, pray as Jews, and love the Land of Israel with all our hearts through eternity.

Bibi’s prosecution has brought worldwide shame upon the State of Israel for condemning its own hero rather than standing with him. Like my President and so many millions of thankful Jews everywhere, I stand with Bibi’s right to lead his nation to victory against the true enemies of the Jewish State and the Jewish People. Bibi has blessed us all. May he continue to lead the Holy Land in peace with his own People. Amen.
