VIDEO: Top Shin Bet/Mossad officer criticizes Biden administration for sabotaging negotiations for Israeli hostages

In a TV interview, the former Shin Bet/Mossad top intelligence man sharply criticized the U.S. Democratic administration, claiming it sabotaged negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages. He said the Biden administration damaged the negotiation framework, pressured Israel, and imposed restrictions that encouraged Hamas to resist a deal, meaning no real agreement was close in 2024. He argued that only after Trump entered office was a significantly better deal reached, leading to the hostages’ release.

He also said the media misrepresented the situation by repeatedly claiming a deal was near, contrary to the actual circumstances.

Regarding Israel’s internal security, he stated that the intelligence network failed in decision-making and warning procedures ahead of October 7th. He claimed that Ronen Bar failed in his role and he rejected leftists’ claims that better political policies would have led intelligence services to issue warnings, saying this is simply untrue.
