2026 National Defense Strategy vows to ‘hunt and neutralize Islamic terrorists’
The U.S. Department of War’s 2026 National Defense Strategy, published on January 23, says:
We will secure America’s borders and maritime approaches, and we will defend our nation’s skies through Golden Dome for America and a renewed focus on countering unmanned aerial threats. We will maintain a robust and modern nuclear deterrent capable of addressing the strategic threats to our country, raise and sustain formidable cyber defenses, and hunt and neutralize Islamic terrorists who have the ability and intent to strike our Homeland.
Good start. But there is so much more that must be done. What about the Islamic terrorists who are already in our “Homeland”? What about the mosques who preach the Qur’anic message of hatred of Jews and Christians and the necessity to wage jihad against them? What about the oppression of women that is taught in Sharia, and the spread of that Sharia in the U.S.? What about the attempts to establish Sharia enclaves in Texas, Michigan, New Jersey and elsewhere? It’s refreshing to see the War Department refer to “Islamic terrorists,” rather than unspecified “violent extremists” or “radical Islamist terrorists,” and it’s a step in the right direction, but many more such steps are needed in the face of a threat that continues to advance and knows exactly what its goals are while we dither about even daring to name it.
