Iran Is Refusing to Make a Deal Because the Refusal Helps the Dems

If the Dems were patriotic, they would make it clear that our enemies can’t play us against each other

The political necessity for doing something doesn’t make it more doable, sometimes it makes it impossible. Iran isn’t going to make an actual deal. And while deals are impossible with terrorists anyway, Iran’s Islamic regime is going to drag this out as long as possible to help the Dems. That’s not breaking new ground. The regime did this early on during the hostage crisis to hurt the Carter administration towards which, despite Carter’s sympathy for Islamic terrorists, it harbored a special resentment.

So any time a deal appears close, it’ll blow it up.

Iran’s politburo-like body known as the Supreme National Security Council said the Strait of Hormuz will not open until the United States “corrects its behavior,” issuing new demands that could shake up talks on a deal to manage the waterway.

Iran’s state broadcaster published the statement by the council’s secretary, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, who is also a commander in the powerful Revolutionary Guard.

The United States must never threaten Iran again, the statement said, and must permanently end the war with Iran and its armed allies in the region. The U.S. must lift the naval blockade of Iranian ports and withdraw its military from the area. It must “completely compensate” Iran for war damage, lift sanctions and “unconditionally” release frozen assets.

So no, this isn’t happening.

If the Dems were patriotic, they would get on the same page and make it clear that our enemies can’t play us against each other, instead they’re using the crisis with Iran to score political points which amounts to coordinating with our enemies.
