Democrats Nominate Radical Lunatic DSA Candidate Angie Dixon for US Senate Seat in Florida
Daugherty: The Socialist will face Republican Ashley Moody. Ron DeSantis appointed Moody in January of 2025 as Rubio stepped away to serve as Secretary of State. And—notable on Dixon: DeSantis arrested her for her charade at his office amidst the redistricting effort.
She is a DSA socialist demanding a nationwide rent freeze, free healthcare, free college, mass debt cancellation, higher billionaire taxes—and an end to American aid for what she calls “apartheid Israel.”

New York Times on Dixon: Ms. Nixon, 42, defeated Alex Vindman, a former national security official who was a top witness in President Trump’s first impeachment trial. His entry was largely welcomed by Democratic Party leaders hoping to make Florida at least competitive this fall. He far out-raised Ms. Nixon and had been seen as the clear front-runner in the race.
Here’s a brief review of Dixon’s hatred and insanity:
- Freedom for Palestine!” Source
- Would cut off all U.S. aid to Israel: “We cannot continue to send money to countries that are violating international law, that are violating human rights, that are actively destroying.” Source
- Called Israel’s war against Hamas a “genocide.” Source
- Pushed a Gaza ceasefire resolution barely a month after October 7, declaring on the Florida House floor: “We have killed 10,000 Palestinians. How many will be enough?” The resolution was defeated 104–2. Source
- Could not clearly say whether Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state, according to the chairman of the Florida Democratic Jewish Caucus. He also said she claimed not to understand “from the river to the sea” and relied on Palestinian friends’ assurances about its meaning. Source
- Demands a national rent freeze and eviction moratorium.
- Calls housing “a human right” and attacks private housing as “a speculative asset for the billionaire class.”
- Supports Medicare for All with no premiums, deductibles or copays.
- Supports tuition-free public college and cancellation of student debt.
- Supports universal government-funded childcare and pre-K.
- Supports a federal jobs program with wages indexed to inflation.
- Wants to end right-to-work laws.
- Calls for breaking up major technology companies and halting new data-center construction until federal restrictions are imposed.
- Wants to end fossil-fuel subsidies and impose a sweeping government-directed transition to renewable energy.
Those economic positions come directly from Nixon’s campaign platform.
Nixon has also defended bringing children to drag shows, insisting there is “no sexualization” and calling them “wholesome entertainment.”
