Beverly Newman is a writer, who has articles on child abuse published in national magazines and in college textbooks and has also contributed to many other articles on the abuse of children and elders.

Dr. Newman graduated from Purdue University with high honors and earned her Doctorate in Education and child psychology from Indiana University, where she was the commencement speaker for the I.U. School of Education graduation ceremonies in Indianapolis.

Dr. Newman has testified before the Legislatures in Indiana, Maryland, and Florida regarding child and elder abuse issues. She currently serves as
the Director of the AL KATZ Center for Holocaust Survivors & Jewish Learning, Inc., in downtown Sarasota.

Beverly and Lawrence Newman live in Bradenton, Florida, and are the proud grandparents of Mina, Danny, Emilie, and Kenna. Beverly is the Founder of the Al Katz Campaign To Save Jewish Holocaust Survivors from Institutionalization.
