Christian Ziegler was elected Sarasota County’s State Committeeman on August 14, 2012, making him one of the youngest members of the Republican Party of Florida State Executive Committee and the youngest elected official in Sarasota County. As State Committeeman, he has vowed to represent the 122,000 Republicans in Sarasota County with Conservative values and principles. Christian is a firm believer in the U.S. Constitution, Limited Government, Less Taxes, Individual Freedom & Responsibility, Free Enterprise, and Family Values.

Prior to being elected State Committeeman, Christian served as a Legislative Assistant and was one of the first Directors of New Media on Capitol Hill, serving in that role for Republican U.S. Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-16). As a Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill, Christian provided oversight of Congressman Buchanan’s Veteran Affairs Committee assignment and policy areas such as Immigration, Foreign Affairs, Judiciary, Housing, Social Issues, Election law, and other important issues being proposed and voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives. Christian also served as Congressman Buchanan’s Director of New Media. As Director of New Media, Christian was responsible for managing the Congressman’s online presence by creating content, distributing content, and engaging citizens online by soliciting their feedback and questions.

Christian also has extensive campaign experience. On the federal level, He has worked on three of U.S. Congressman Vern Buchanan’s successful Congressional Campaigns (2006, 2008 & 2010) as well as Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum’s Presidential campaign and U.S. Senator Scott Brown’s successful Senate campaign in Massachusetts. On the state and local level, Christian worked in the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee, FL and served as the Executive Director of the Republican Party of Sarasota County from 2011-2012. As Executive Director, he helped numerous Florida State Senate, Florida State House, Sarasota County Commission, Sarasota City Commission, and other state & local campaigns achieve election victory.

In addition to serving as Sarasota County’s State Committeeman, Christian serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Dealers United, a local startup in the automotive industry located in Sarasota, Florida. With Christian’s leadership, Dealers United has grown from 0 to 18 employees in just over a year. Christian is a Florida State University alumni (Go Noles!), a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoys playing lacrosse and is a technology & Apple nerd.
