Luz de los Angeles Gonzalez-Maribona graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California. She spent 13 years fundraising for non-profit educational institutions. Luz is President of the Old Cutler Republican Women's Club, the first Republican Women's Club in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Luz served as S. Florida Lead Activist for FreedomWorks, encompassing Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties, during the 2012 elections. She is a tireless advocate for school choice and has worked for increasing student educational opportunities all over the country - including Oregon, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Florida. As a grassroots advocate, Luz serves as advisor for the Miami High School Republicans and is co-founder of the Conservative Grassroots Coalition of Miami Dade County. Luz believes in the "Big Five" as it pertains to political philosophy - individual rights, lower taxes, more freedom, less government, and constitutional governance.
