Terry Bean and the Human Rights Campaign’s Predator Problem

Bean gave $1 million to HRC; also founded Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund; is largest Oregon donor to Obama; envisioned and funded HRC’s D.C. headquarters building; HRC finally comments on case after five days of silence

Folks, once in a while a story with such sordid and shocking details breaks through the leftist media’s pro-”gay” censorship to reveal the stark truth about the perverse lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender-”queer” (LGBTQ) movement. The child-sex arrest of Terry Bean–a founder of both the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)and Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund; Obama money-man; and major Democratic power-broker–is one of those cases. Below is a TV news collage– including commentary by pro-family leaders Scott Lively and Bryan Fischer–of the story of the 66-year-old Bean’s arrest last Wednesday for committing sodomy with a 15-year-old-boy.

Williamette Week reports on the charges against Bean:

“Law enforcement sources familiar with the case say Bean will be charged with two counts of sodomy in the third degree, a felony, and sex abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor. He will be arraigned later in Lane County, where the crimes allegedly occurred in 2013.”

Human Rights Campaign, the world’s largest and best-funded homosexual lobby organization (Executive Director Chad Griffin makes more than $400,000 annually), took the time to condemn the grand jury’s non-indictment of Ferguson, Missouri policeman Darren Wilson, and celebrate the “Transgender Day of Remembrance,” among other blog posts–but has yet to post anything on its website on the sex-crime arrest of Bean, who reportedly hasdonated more than $1 million to HRC. Bean has been removed from HRC’s Board of Directors pending the adjudication of his case.

AFTAH will carry multiple stories on this case and the twisted reality–dating back to ancient homosexuality–of older adult “homosexual” men sodomizing teenage boys. How telling is it that HRC–which routinely and recklessly castigates conservative, Christian pro-family groups like AFTAH–took five days to issue a bland, non-condemnatory statement on its predatory benefactor Bean? His arrest puts the powerful homosexual lobby group in a very tight spot: Bean, after all, is so central to the “gay” lobby’s success that he came up with the idea of HRC constructing of a swank headquarters building in Washington, D.C. More details and photos showing Bean’s enormous clout in Democratic circles follow the video after the jump:

  • Williamette Week (6/4/14; pre-arrest): “Terry Bean’s Problem: A prominent Portlander fights for his reputation after a love affair goes wrong”: “Bean says that last year he fell in love with Lawson. Bean paid him a $400-a-week allowance, put Lawson up in one of his homes and took him on international trips. Last fall, Bean brought Lawson to the White House and also introduced him to Obama…”In January, Lawson says, he discovered that Bean had a hidden camera in the smoke detector above Bean’s bed in his West Hills home. Lawson used this information to seek money from Bean, alleging that the camera captured videos ‘of at least a half dozen individuals in a state of nudity engaged in intimate acts with you.’ Lawson claims he is in more than one video.”
  • The Oregonian:  ”Former boyfriend of Democratic fundraiser Terry Bean arrested on sex abuse indictment”: “Both Bean and Lawson are accused of having a sexual encounter with the same 15-year-old boy in a hotel in Eugene last year. They had arranged the encounter with the teen after meeting him via a website, investigators allege.”

Uber against Racial Profiling: The sharing economy helps end ethnic and economic discrimination by Howard Baetjer Jr.

Market forces are regulating racial profiling by taxicabs better than government regulations do.

Investigative reporter Russ Ptacek, who is white, had to hail only 22 cabs to get 23 rides one recent day in Washington, DC. (One cab stopped before he hailed.) An African-American teammate in the investigation, dressed in the same clothes and hailing from the same spots, had to hail 34 cabs to get 23 rides. The other 11 ignored him.

A year-long investigation of what certainly looks like racial discrimination by taxi drivers in DC consistently produced such results. Here’s the video:

Are cab drivers indulging in irrational prejudice, or is their apparent racial profiling a rational reaction to the security and financial risks of their business? Most cabbies are from racial minorities themselves, but they reasonably worry about crime — taxi drivers are among the most frequently victimized professionals — so they might use race as one criterion in judging how safe it is to pick up different kinds of riders. And cabbies need to keep the meter running; they might worry that if they take a rider home to a low-income area, they won’t find another fare there to pay for the trip back to a busier area.

Whatever its cause, the racial profiling is a frustrating, insulting nuisance to those discriminated against. There must be a solution.

Like most cities, DC has regulations intended to prevent racial discrimination by taxi drivers; the Washington taxi commission can fine drivers for “refusal to haul.” But those regulations don’t work. Ptacek says, “We found no evidence over the past year that the DC taxi commission has done one thing, initiated one program to ensure all passengers are treated equally, regardless of race.”

This regulatory failure is not surprising. What incentive does the DC taxi commission have to enforce its “refusal to haul” regulations? What are the consequences for the commissioners’ jobs and paychecks if they don’t get cabbies to quit bypassing black and brown riders? None at all. Black riders may complain, but they have no other authority to turn to if their complaints go unheeded.

Is there a way around this government failure?

It turns out there is — in our day of smartphones and GPS, at least. A spokesman for Uber, the for-profit ride-sharing company still effectively unregulated by government, told NPR that “with 4 in 10 Uber trips starting or ending in neighborhoods underserved by taxis, Uber is ensuring that no rider is rejected because of who they are, where they live or where they want to go.” Why would Uber-directed drivers, unregulated by any government agency, pick up passengers from minority groups that government-regulated taxi drivers refuse?

The answer is that Uber drivers are regulated by Uber, Uber is regulated by market forces, and market forces regulate far more effectively than the DC taxi commission does.

Uber gets a cut of every fare, so the more fares it arranges, the more income it earns. Arranging more fares depends on building a reputation for getting cars to riders — all riders — quickly and reliably. Hence, Uber has a strong incentive to give its drivers the incentive to pick up every rider — black, white, or brown — right away.

It does that in two ways. First, it reduces its drivers’ reasons for racial profiling. Uber has each rider’s name, cell phone number, credit card information, and the time and route of the ride, so Uber riders are unlikely to rob drivers. Riders can’t skip out on a fare because Uber charges their credit cards, and since drivers aren’t paid in cash, they’re unattractive targets for criminals. And when an Uber driver drops off a rider in an out-of-the-way place, Uber immediately shows where the next closest fare is, so the driver is less likely to get stuck with a long, no-fare trip back to a busier area.

Second, using GPS information from users’ and drivers’ smartphones, Uber “sees” in real time when a driver drives past a would-be rider. “I didn’t see him” doesn’t work; Uber shows drivers where would-be riders are. And Uber fines its drivers for refusing fares. Uber’s regulation of racial profiling is thus comprehensive and immediate.

Here’s a beautiful instance of how market forces push people to pay attention to the well-being of others of all races. And it’s an instance of how modern technology and market incentives are making government regulations obsolete, if they were ever useful at all.

Ferguson: The Progressive Socialist Left’s Racial Waterloo

It was supposed to be that seminal moment, shining a glaring light on the abject horror of white police brutality towards young black men. It was intended to be a triumph for the champions of race baiting. It was intended to be a midterm election rallying point for the black vote, staving off an electoral debacle of monumental proportions. It was intended to be a victory for victimhood and mob justice over the rule of law and judicial process. In the end, Ferguson, Missouri resulted in a Waterloo for the Left — especially the liberal progressive media who was caught perpetuating a lie of epic proportions.

And now Ferguson burns and a family is embarrassed not only nationally, but internationally.

First, my heart goes out to the parents of Michael Brown who were used as pawns in a game of politics with the vehicle being the tragic loss of their son. It was never the intent of anyone passing themselves off as their “sympathetic friends” to know the truth — it was their goal to advance an agenda, at their expense.

Second, the media owes an apology to one Ferguson Police Officer named Darren Wilson — yeah, I know, it will not be forthcoming. Wilson survived death threats, a bounty, and his name being horrifically smeared by a mob spun into a frenzy by a sensationalist Leftist media machine not interested in truth, fact, and evidence — just a story that fit their insatiable hunger.

Third, a special hat tip goes out to St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch who realized the volatility of the situation and delivered what was the most articulate and meticulous grand jury summary we may ever come to hear. His careful explanation of the entire proceeding, and decision to make public the evidence and findings de-fanged a multi-headed hydra that was poised to strike.

Of course, the hydra decided to strike anyway, displaying true disregard once again — two weeks in a row — of the rule of law in America. The real losers in all of this were those like Jesse Jackson Sr., Al Sharpton, and the mob who, even in the face of truth, made a conscious decision not to abide by it — or accept it.

Consider the Democrat Party of Georgia, who unabashedly used images of Ferguson, Missouri in campaign materials to stoke racial animosity during the recent Senate race. They likened a vote for the GOP candidate, David Perdue, to being supportive of another “Ferguson” occurring in Georgia. One has to ask, will the Chairman of the Georgia Democrat Party issue an apology statement to the people of the “Peach state?” I certainly don’t expect one to be given to Senator-elect Perdue.

And what now of the public image of our law enforcement officers, who have seen their collective reputation besmirched all in the name of what? Some ill conceived sense of “social justice?”

Shall we now — in light of the truth of Ferguson — realize these men and women place their lives on the line every day for the sake of the preamble of the Constitution which states, “to establish justice and ensure domestic tranquility?”

The men and women of the “Thin Blue Line” are the everyday soldiers on the front lines, fighting to maintain a peaceful environment in which we can all find the “security of the blessings of liberty.”

Are there bad cops out there — yep — just like there are bad anything. However, the blanket assault on the honor, integrity, and character of the American law enforcement officer must end. After all, where are the protests and rioting when one of them loses his life? Recently we’ve even seen that come at the hands ofillegal immigrants who have been deported on several occasions, only to return.

Ferguson, Missouri and the case of the shooting of Michael Brown must awaken in all of us the notion that individuals are responsible for their actions — and there are consequences. It was not just the actions of Michael Brown, but the despicable actions of those who would willingly lie as Prosecutor McCulloch brilliantly presented in his grand jury summary.

Where are we going in America, when there is no compunction to tell the truth when it comes to the life of another human being? We must understand the closed grand jury hearing was necessary in order for the truth to surface and those who could speak it could do so without fear of retribution. And again, a hat tip to McCulloch for being astute enough to protect the names and reputations of those who would commit perjury — and for what?

In closing, Ferguson, Missouri was a triumph for the system of federalism once again displaying the preeminence of the state over the federal government in such a matter. There can be no doubt that the federal government under the social activist agenda of President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder sought to fully interject itself.

However, with complete transparency of witnesses and physical evidence, Robert McCulloch checked and checkmated the secret whims of Obama and Holder. And that was clearly visible Monday evening when President Obama rambled on after the decision, still straining to stoke the fires of racial animosity.

Yes, we do have a problem in America and it is with raising our young black men to be respectful and responsible — there is a reason why we have a Ray Rice or an Adrian Peterson — it starts early. We have a problem with media sensationalism and truth. We have a problem with the respect of the rule of law. We have a problem with regard for our law enforcement officers. We have a problem with victimization and the politics of race and the advancement of a “by any means necessary” skewed vision of justice.

Officer Darren Wilson was “innocent until proven guilty” and too many forgot what that meant. He has been exonerated of any wrongdoing as he was attacked. We must ask ourselves, would we feel better as a nation is we had buried Wilson? Would there have been incessant media coverage and protests? Sadly, we all know the answer to that question. Our law enforcement officers die and no one really cares, save for the families who go missing a loved one — as seen in the murder of Captain Kevin Quick in Virginia. Or does anyone remember the name of the NYPD rookie who was attacked by the ax-wielding jihadist?

I thank God that even in the face of all this negativity — and at times hatred — we still have young men and women who will serve and protect us on our streets, preventing complete anarchy and lawlessness. In the end, we should all take a pause and thank a law enforcement officer today for his or her service, sacrifice, commitment, and bravery. Thanks guys, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.

Thanks, But —

I know that Thanksgiving is the day we are all supposed to review a list of all the things for which we should be thankful and surely each of us has a list, usually family and friends, and, patriotically, for being Americans.

What makes this Thanksgiving different from those that have proceeded it is the reminder from President Obama that, in his opinion, America is not exceptional and, presumably, that means neither are we. I don’t think this nation has ever celebrated Thanksgiving when its President did not like America. We’ve had six Thanksgivings with Obama and each one has given us less for which to be thankful in terms of the economy and our national security.

Consider the vast unemployment that exists nationwide thanks to his failure to bring an end to the Great Recession. Forty million will use food stamps to put food on the table. Nearly half of all Americans are receiving government benefits that are paid for by those thankful to have a job. Thanks to ObamaCare millions lost their healthcare plans and millions more will in 2015. There is nothing “affordable” in the Affordable Care Act including the billion dollars spent on its website.

I think this Thanksgiving Day will have a different mood for the many Americans, especially who did not vote for President Obama or the Democratic Party. It is astounding to me that somewhere around 47% of those who presumably voted for him say they approve of his performance in office.

After election results that rejected him and his party, Obama has told them that he is more interested in what the two-thirds of voters in the last election who stayed home had to say. He “heard” them, too. He apparently did not hear what those who voted to give power in the Senate to the GOP while adding more Republicans in the House had to say.

Anyone paying any attention for the past six years knows that he doesn’t much care what any of us say and never has.

He believes his job is to “transform” a nation that did not need any transforming. America was and is a beacon of freedom to the world. That beacon, however, has grown dim for our allies whose leaders can no longer trust him. It has become clear to our enemies that they can do what they want without paying a price.

To drive home that message, he has been reducing our military to pre-World War II levels. Reluctantly he has increased our military presence in Iraq and will maintain troops in Afghanistan after making it clear that abandoning both of those nations to the Islamists was a major element of his foreign policy; if indeed he can be said to have a foreign policy other than retreat and isolation.

Instead of addressing the growing threat of Islamic fascism, Obama is talking about “climate change” as the great threat when, except for the idiots that believe anything he says anymore, people with any intelligence knows that there is nothing anyone can do regarding the climate. The only people who believe there’s any global warming haven’t been paying any attention for the last nineteen years in which the Earth has been in a predictable, natural cooling cycle, just like the Sun.

Closer to home, the White House just released plans for 3,415 regulations, the worst of which are from the Environmental Protection Agency that is destroying our nation’s ability to generate electricity, the one energy on which we all depend. At the same time, the President has just returned from China having signed an agreement to reduce “gashouse emissions” when such a reduction has no basis in science or logic, but translates into higher costs for electricity.

A national holiday should celebrate the ideals of our founding, but this year’s Thanksgiving occurs as the federal government grows ever larger and the amount of regulation of every aspect of our lives and the economy grows with it. This is the exact opposition of what the Founding Fathers intended.

Those Founding Fathers came together to wage a revolution against England’s King George III, a monarch whose commands they did not want to obey any more. This year’s Thanksgiving occurs as Congress is being challenged by a President who wants to ignore the separation of powers in the Constitution and the limits on executive powers. His intention to alter the current immigration laws is totally unconstitutional and must be stopped by every legal means available.

This Thanksgiving America is a less free nation in which a tsunami of regulations and laws continues to reduce our fundamental freedoms. This Thanksgiving, America is a nation that is losing the respect of other nations. This Thanksgiving, we face two more years of a lawless President who threatens the Constitution.

We have two more Thanksgiving Days before we turn America around and restore it to the great nation it was.

‘Friends’ Desert Bill Cosby when he Needs them Most

“Hey, hey, hey (in my best Fat Albert’s voice), please listen to what I have to say. My friend Bill Cosby is in trouble today.”

Even Fat Albert knows Bill Cosby is getting a raw deal. As a public relations/crisis management professional. I have worked with some of the biggest names in sports, entertainment, and business. So, let’s deconstruct this media frenzy engulfing the man who was once America’s favorite TV dad.

Many of these allegations have been around for more than 30 years. Cosby has never been charged with a crime and deserves the presumption of innocence. Simply because several people – okay, eight and counting – provide a similar salacious account doesn’t make it true.

Until now, Cosby and his lovely wife, Camille, have not had to defend their hard-earned good name. They have given north of $50 million to educational institutions, especially HBCUs. Cosby has opened doors to many of the top actors and comediennes in the industry.

At the ripe old age of 77 years, at what point does one’s body of work require one to be given the benefit of the doubt? Cosby is, and in my book, will always be “America’s Dad.”

None of the females coming forward ever went to the police when the incident in question was supposed to have happened. There have been no corroborating witnesses. After the initial alleged incident, each of the women continued to spend private time with Cosby. If Cosby had done what they allege, why would they continue to spend private time with him? That makes no sense. Not even to Fat Albert.

And the media’s hands are not clean in the smear campaign.

Why would respected news organizations even give these women a platform when they offer no proof or evidence to support their allegations?
Corporate America has also taken the guilty until proven innocent approach toward Cosby, a former corporate darling.

NBC officials announced last week that that they were no longer working with Cosby to produce a new series that was supposed to launch next summer. Mind you that Cosby made NBC billions of dollars with his hit TV series “The Cosby Show” in the 80s and the successful spinoff, “A Different World.”

Evidently, Hollywood is a different world.

Even more surprising than the reaction from Hollywood and Corporate America is the paucity of people willing to defend Bill Cosby or at least insist on a greater burden of proof from his growing list of accusers. To be blunt, true friends don’t desert friends based on unsubstantiated rumors.

That means even when defending them is unpopular. I have publicly defended former Senate Leader Trent Lott of Mississippi when I knew accusations of him being a White racist were unfounded. I also backed former Majority House Leader Tom DeLay, who stepped down in 2005 after being indicted for allegedly improperly funneling campaign donations to Texas House candidates. He was eventually exonerated but by then, his political career had been unfairly destroyed.

Doesn’t Cosby deserve that same kind of loyalty?

I am not aware of one public statement of support from any former cast member of Cosby’s shows. I am not aware of any statement of support from any comedian on the scene today whose career took off because of Cosby. I am not aware of any statement of support from any civil rights group or college that have gladly taken millions over the years from Cosby and his wife.

Without delving into the issues about which only Cosby and his accusers know, at minimum, those who have been recipients of his largess could at least say there’s another side of the man.

I have spoken to a few of my A-list Hollywood friends about this issue and I found their explanations repulsive. They are all afraid of being “blacklisted” by White, liberal Hollywood. As much as I love money and success, I love my integrity more. How can you not support someone who has been instrumental in your being the very person you are today? How do you justify leaving someone like Cosby out to hang by himself?

Even Fat Albert doesn’t think Cosby deserves this kind of treatment.

Racism Can Be White or Black

On Monday, Nov 17, 2014, the Governor of Missouri activated its National Guard “to support law enforcement during any period of unrest that might occur following the grand jury’s decision concerning the investigation into the death of Michael Brown.” He declared a state of emergency.

A grand jury verdict that is likely to exonerate officer Darren Wilson is assumed to require significant law enforcement because in August we witnessed the initial weeks of rioting, looting and arson in what has been described by police authorities as an organized effort.

When the subject of racism occurs, it is always in terms of white racism and rarely, if ever, discussed in terms of black racism.

However, racism is a two-way street and while the ill treatment African-Americans encountered as slaves and for a century thereafter before the Civil Rights Act in 1964 is surely cause for resentment the fact remains that black Americans have had fifty years, two generations, of opportunity and equality intended to redress the past.

What white Americans find it difficult to understand is why there are protests at this point. Don’t the lives of blacks who have been killed, as often as not by other blacks, have value too?

Why doesn’t the fact that the nation has a black President, a black Attorney General, a black Supreme Court justice, blacks in Congress, and ample evidence of the progress the black community has made since the 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed seem to make any difference?

AA - Ferguson Michael Brown Thug

Security camera stills of Michael Brown assaulting shop keeper in Ferguson, MO. For a larger view click on the image.

The events in Ferguson are well known by now. Video confirmed that Michael Brown stole some cigarillos at the Ferguson Market and Liquors on August 9th and when one of the staff protested, he was threatened in a menacing manner by Brown, a very large young man.

The theft was swiftly reported to the police with a description that fit Brown. Not long after, Officer Wilson, driving alone, spoke to Brown and a companion, telling them to move away from the center of West Florissant Avenue. At that point Brown began to scuffle with Wilson and forensic evidence showed that Wilson’s gun was fired twice in the police car during the struggle. Brown allegedly punched him repeatedly, leaving a swelling on his face. He attacked a police officer.

Wilson went after Brown to arrest him and when Brown turned on him he was shot six times. Reportedly, six black witnesses to the incident confirmed Officer Wilson’s account. The autopsy is said to have showed evidence of marijuana in Brown’s system. Brown was not armed, but his size and the assault on Officer Wilson constituted a threat to Wilson’s life.

What followed were weeks of demonstrations that quickly escalated in force, in arson and looting in addition to the confrontations between the protesters and the police. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon deployed the National Guard to help quell the disturbances. In October the Ferguson Police Department handed over responsibility to the county police department which is larger and better equipped. At this point, all of the police who were called upon had protective gear and an arsenal of means to quell a riot.

Why did the shooting evoke such a reaction? Why did those involved in the demonstrations assume it was more than a white cop versus black suspect situation? The assumption among the protesters is that a white police officer had shot Brown for no reason other than racism.

Blacks (and whites) who commit crimes or who are suspected of doing so and who are seen to pose a lethal threat are killed by police during the course of any year. However, statistically blacks are more involved in crime, from minor to major, than whites. According to the NAACP, “African Americans are incarcerated at nearly six times the rate of whites.” This is blamed on poverty, poor education, and other factors, but America has had wave after wave of immigrants come here, work hard, enter the middle class, and rise to success.

It is worth noting that the Ferguson police force has few blacks in its ranks. Of its 53 members, only three are black. Why? Is there something about being a police officer that is unappealing to blacks in Ferguson? This is a useful question given the fact that 67% of Ferguson’s residents are black.

Maybe we can just blame the demonstrations, the burning and looting of businesses on the fact that among the most dangerous U.S. cities, the Huffington Post just listed St. Louis as number four, dropping down from being number three last year. “The city has the highest murder rate of any locale in the top five, with 38 murders per 100,000 people. Its overall violent crime rate is 1,594 violent crimes per 100,000 people.” Ferguson is a suburb of St. Louis, a city whose population is nearly half black.

The “demonstrators” and “protesters” in Ferguson are a disgrace. They have put hard working, law abiding blacks at risk of being lumped in with their behavior. That, regrettably, is how racism works.

If, however, you want to exploit the incident, you send the U.S. Attorney General to Ferguson to stir up the black racism that exists and you have the Department of Justice conduct both civil and criminal investigations.

If you want to exploit the incident, you have the Attorney General participate in planting a tree last Monday in the memory of Emmett Till, a teenager who was murdered in 1955 by white bigots and have him speak of young black men “who died senselessly,” but Michael Brown died as the result of an assault on a police officer.

The grand jury has conducted its investigation and will likely find that a police officer lawfully defended himself against a young thug. That’s how our legal system works. And black racism is every bit as bad as white racism.

A Tipping-Point in Race Relations

Friday, November 21, 2014, my eighty-first birthday, was to have been a happy occasion, featuring a great dinner with friends at Tulsa’s finest German restaurant and many cards and letters from far-flung children and grandchildren. But a late email printout detailing events in Geneva, Switzerland, took a bit of the luster off the day.

The email I received was a copy of a thirteen-page document filed with the 53rd Session of the United Nations Committee against Torture, meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, from November 3-28, 2014. The title of the complaint was: “United States Compliance with the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment.” It was subtitled, “Written Statement on the Police Shooting of Michael Brown and Ensuing Police Violence Against Protesters in Ferguson, Missouri.” It was hand delivered to Geneva by Michael Brown’s parents: Michael Brown, Sr. and Lesley McSpadden.

The cover page of the complaint asserts that the complaint was submitted by the Brown family, who hand-delivered it to Geneva, as well as organizations called HandsUpUnited, Organization for Black Struggle (OBS), and Missourians Organized for Reform and Empowerment (MORE).

In a CNN interview, Brown’s mother insisted that, “We need the world to know what’s going on in Ferguson and we need justice… We need answers and we need action. And we have to bring it to the U.N. so they can expose it to the rest of the world, what’s going on in small town Ferguson.”

But, all emotion aside, what are the facts? We know that, on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown, Jr. a 6 ft. 4 in. 292 lb. black teenager, was identified on videotape as the individual who engaged in the robbery of a convenience store in Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. In the video, Brown is seen taking a box of Swisher Sweet cigars (valued at approximately $49.00) from the checkout counter of the convenience store, a 2nd degree theft under Missouri law.

As he and a friend prepared to exit the store, Brown is challenged by a store employee who attempted to lock the door before the two could leave the premises. However, Brown prevented the clerk from locking the door and as he and his accomplice walked out the door, he grabbed the store clerk by the lapels and shoved him backward into a display rack. And when the store clerk continued to protest, Brown turned and approached him in a threatening manner.

Minutes later, Brown and his friend, Dorian Johnson, a fugitive from justice on a theft charge from Jefferson City, Missouri, were seen walking defiantly down the middle of a street near the convenience store they’d just robbed. Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, on routine patrol, arrived on the scene and instructed Brown and Johnson to “get the [expletive] off the street.”

At that point one must assume that Brown, having just robbed a convenience store and assaulted a store clerk, feared that he was about to be taken into custody in connection with the robbery he’d committed just minutes before. With that thought in mind, he decided that he would not allow himself to be arrested and taken into custody, with a potential jail term to follow. Instead, when Officer Wilson prepared to exit his police cruiser, Brown attacked him and forced him back into the vehicle. Having been physically assaulted by a young man, much younger and stronger than himself, Officer Wilson was then justified in the use of deadly force. However, as the officer prepared to unholster his sidearm while seated inside his vehicle, Brown reached through the open window and attempted to wrest the weapon from the officer’s hand. A struggle ensured during which two shots were fired, one of them striking Brown in the wrist.

According to Officer Wilson and several eye witnesses, Wilson then exited his vehicle and attempted to take Brown into custody. At which time Brown, who had been walking away from the scene, turned and charged the officer. Certain that he could not survive an attack by a man 6 ft. 4 in. tall and weighing nearly 300 lb., the officer fired four additional shots before Brown dropped to the pavement.

But this is not the story that Brown’s fugitive friend told police and the media. According to his version, Brown was walking toward the officer with his hands in the air, attempting to surrender. An autopsy showed that Brown had been shot six times in the front of his body. What is not clear is the source of the unsubstantiated charge that Brown was shot in the back.

Nor is it the story that Brown’s parents told in their testimony before the U.N. committee in Geneva. According to their account, “Midday on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown, an 18-year-old black male, was walking down a small street in the middle of an apartment complex with a friend when they were approached by a white police officer. According to his friend, the closest witness to the afternoon’s events, the officer approached them in his SUV police vehicle, told them to ‘get the [expletive] off the sidewalk,’ which then escalated into a confrontation. After a struggle, the officer began to shoot the teen. Brown ran away, as he was hit by the officer’s bullets. The officer chased the teen on foot, and according to multiple witnesses, even after Michael Brown raised his hands to surrender and begged the officer not to shoot, the officer continued to fire. No witness reported any orders given to Brown as these shots were fired.”

Nowhere in their testimony is there a hint that Brown and his friend had just committed a strong-arm robbery of a business establishment. Nowhere in their testimony do they speculate about their son’s state of mind… how he may have concluded that he and his friend were about to be arrested as suspects in a felony crime and, in an effort to avoid arrest, attacked and wounded a police officer. Nowhere in their testimony do they mention that their son was first shot in a struggle over the police officer’s handgun. Nowhere in their testimony do they mention that their son’s friend, Dorian Johnson, himself a fugitive from justice, may not be a credible witness. And nowhere in their testimony do they suggest that the officer told the boys to “get the [expletive] off the street.” Instead, they testified that the officer told the boys to “get the [expletive] off the sidewalk.”

The Browns testified that, “The teenager was hit by at least six shots, according to an autopsy performed by a pathologist not affiliated with the government. The autopsy further revealed that the final shots included one that entered his eye, and another at the top of the head, which may have indicated his head was lowered as he collapsed or kneeled to surrender. The intentional, arbitrary killing of Michael Brown, shot to death by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, amounts to torture under Article I of the Convention.”

Was the pathologist “not affiliated with the government,” an expert hired by the Brown family, a credible witness? And is it even within the realm of possibility that an experienced police officer would “execute” a teenager, in cold-blood, in broad daylight, as he knelt to surrender? Is it not more reasonable to conclude that Brown was shot in the top of his head at close range as he lowered his head to charge the officer?

But now the nation is threatened with a massive outbreak of violence if the St. Louis County grand jury refuses to indict Officer Wilson. The demonstrations and rioting that have followed the shooting are a blot on the black community. And if the grand jury concludes that Officer Wilson acted in self-defense, which they likely will, we can expect unprecedented violence in the streets where the black community in and around St. Louis will loot neighborhood business establishments and burn many homes to the ground.

Brown’s mother told a CNN reporter in an interview, “We need the world to know what’s going on in Ferguson and we need justice… We need answers and we need action.”

Justice? Answers? Action? These are not what the professional race hustlers want. What they want is revenge, not justice. Nor are they going to like the answers they’re likely to get from the St. Louis County grand jury. And while the “action” they want is the indictment of Officer Wilson, the only “action” they will get is a lot of grief raining down on the heads of black people across the country as they loot and burn many of the businesses where they work, and burn their own neighborhoods to the ground.

And while we can all empathize with the Brown family for the loss of a son, Brown’s parents should be ashamed of themselves for allowing themselves to be so blatantly used and taken advantage of by professional race agitators, the attorney general of the United States included. But then, it’s not every day they’re treated to an all-expense-paid trip to Geneva.

If black people across the country are looking for something on which they can vent their anger and outrage, the killing of Michael Brown is a very poor choice. They would be better advised to take a closer look at Barack Obama’s Chicago, where black-on-black murders spiked to 516 in 2012, the second time homicides have surpassed 500 since 2003. And they might want to take a closer look at white liberals and Democrats who have raised their expectations to the skies and then did nothing of substance to help them achieve the promised social and economic progress.

At this writing, the St. Louis County grand jury has not handed down either an indictment of Officer Wilson, or a finding of self-defense. And while it is understandable that members of the grand jury, whose names and home addresses are almost certainly known throughout the black community, are afraid to hand down a ruling that would exonerate Officer Wilson, the obvious jury nullification debacle of the O.J. Simpson trial and the violence that occurred in South Los Angeles in the wake of the Rodney King police beating is still far too fresh in the minds of the American people. We are at a tipping point in race relations and we should all be very afraid.

When presidents say Islam is a religion of peace, “the average American thinks this is crap”

It is good to see that this discussion took place at all, as usually it is foreclosed with charges that even to broach it is “Islamophobic.” But as usual, it was held on a quite superficial level, with Michael Gerson throwing out knee-jerk moral equivalence arguments that don’t appear to have been addressed adequately. Neither Gerson nor Abrams appear to have gotten into the actual teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, and without that, discussions like these will always whirl around in the ether with attempts to compare the virulence of various atrocities and acts of violence, and get nowhere.

“Should Presidents Call Islam a ‘Religion of Peace?’ Two George W. Bush Officials Debate,” by Napp Nazworth, Christian Post, November 21, 2014:

MIAMI BEACH — Two former George W. Bush administration officials, Elliot Abrams and Michael Gerson, debated Monday whether it is appropriate for presidents to call Islam a religion of peace.

What is authentic Islam? Is ISIS an authentic form of Islam, or is it not? I think it’s very important that the United States government shut-up about that question,” Abrams, senior fellow for Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, declared at the Ethics and Public Policy Center’s Faith Angle Forum.

It used to annoy me enormously when President [George W.] Bush, for whom I was working, would say, ‘Islam is a religion of peace,’” continued Abrams, who served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser.

Abrams was speaking on a panel, “Religious Conflict and the Future of the Middle East,” with Shadi Hamid, a fellow with the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World in the Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution.

The “real response” to Bush, and later President Barack Obama, declaring the Islam is a religion of peace, he said, should be “where is their theology degree from?”

“For American government officials to be telling Muslims, ‘I know real Islam’ … is ridiculous,” he added. “… It would be an outrage about Judaism and Christianity as well. … For government officials who are 99 percent Christians to be trying to find what is authentic in Islam seems to me to be a fool’s errand.”

Abrams’ comments came during the question and answer session and were not part of his prepared remarks. The whole session lasted about three hours and he made similar remarks later in the session in response to another reporter’s question.

When presidents say Islam is a religion of peace, “the average American thinks this is crap,” he said, because the average American reasons that “the only people doing the beheadings are Muslims, so don’t tell me it’s all wonderful.”

It would be better, Abrams continued, for political leaders to ask, “is there something in Islam that has led some Muslims to behave in a way we consider to be terrible? And what’s the debate within Islam?” Because, “that’s a real description of a real problem,” but, “saying ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ isn’t [realistic].”

After those remarks, Gerson asked for the floor to offer a different point of view.

“We do praise Christianity as a religion of peace on Christmas, we do praise Judaism as a religion of courage on Hanukah and other things. We praise Islam. And every president from now on will praise Islam on religious holidays because their are millions of peaceful citizens who hold this view,” he said.

Gerson was a speechwriter for Bush and may have helped craft the statements that Abrams found objectionable. He now works as a columnist for The Washington Post.

Presidential statements about Islam as a peaceful religion is not only proper due to the many peaceful Muslims who are American citizens, Gerson continued, it is also “theologically sophisticated” because presidents should promote the cause of those who hold values consistent with democratic governance, and this is not unique to Islam.

“Every religious tradition,” he said, “has forces of tribalism and violence in its history, background and theology; and, every religious tradition has sources of respect for the other. And you emphasize, as a political leader, one at the expense of the other in the cause of democracy.

“That is a great American tradition that we have done with every religious tradition that comes to the United States — include them as part of a natural enterprise and praise them for their strongly held religious views, and emphasize those portions that are most compatible with those ideals.”

Abrams countered that Islam is different due to its relationship to terrorists. By calling Islam a “religion of peace” after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Abrams said, Bush was “basically lying about the problem,” because, … the terrorists “view themselves as good Muslims.”

“How is that exclusively a problem with Islam?” Gerson responded, then mentioned other religious groups, such as Christians in Nigeria, who commit violence in the name of their faith.

Part of the role of political leaders, Gerson reiterated, is to acknowledge the parts of every religious tradition that “encourage respect for the other.”

Abrams conceded Gerson’s point but maintained that presidents are not doing that when they call Islam a religion of peace because the presidential statements lack the nuance of Gerson’s argument.

“I think you’re being much more sophisticated than the political statements that have been made, which are blanket statements that say, ‘this has nothing to do with Islam,’” he told Gerson.

“Well, it does have something to do with Islam … even if it is a perversion of it, it has something to do with it, and the sophistication of that statement I think would be interesting to hear from a political leader, but we have not had that.”

A similar debate between actor Ben Affleck and comedian Bill Maher recently gained national attention. Affleck accused Maher of being “gross,” “disgusting” and “racist” for claiming that most Muslims are unsupportive of Democratic norms.

That debate, however, saw both sides paint Islam with broad brushes. The Faith Angle Forum panel, on the other hand, highlighted the complicatedness of the religion and politics issues within Islam and especially in the Middle East.

“It was nice to see Ben Affleck defend Muslims,” said Hamid, an American Muslim, during his prepared remarks. “It was well intentioned and a lot of us were cheering him on because no one defends Muslims in the public sphere. At the same time, Ben Affleck’s analysis was a bit superficial. … I do think Islam is distinctive in how it relates to politics but I don’t think that is necessarily good or bad, I think it just is.”

Is There Anywhere Safe to Be a Jew?

One might think that being a rabbi praying in a synague in an ultra-orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem, Israel was about as safe as one could get, but you would be wrong.

Jews, no matter where they are, understand they can be attacked and killed for being Jews. It is the price of their Covenant with God (Exodus, Chapter 12). This has been part of the history of Judaism for three millennia. In the last century it manifested itself as a Nazi genocide that killed six million European Jews and in this one it is the continuation of an Islamic war on Israel.

AA - Bloody BibleOn Tuesday, November 18, two Palestinians, armed with a rifle and butcher knives, killed three American-Israeli rabbis, a British-Israeli rabbi, and a police officer. They injured seven others. The synague isn’t even close to the line that divides the Jewish and Arab sections of the city. In recent months Jerusalem has been the scene of a number of attacks attributed to Muslim anger regarding the desire of Jews to pray on the Temple Mount, a holy site on which a mosque, al-Aksa, was built following the Arab conquest of the city in 637 A.D.

News of Tuesday’s killings was celebrated in the streets of Gaza and no doubt elsewhere. While condemning the killings, President Obama also managed to blame Israel for building housing for its citizens. Why he thinks he has the right to tell the Israelis where and how much housing can be built is testimony to both his arrogance and his enmity toward the Jewish State.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abba condemned the killings in one breath and incited more hatred with the next, claiming that Jews had “contaminated” the Temple Mount where Abraham’s faith was tested by God.

From its independence in 1948 to the present, Israel has been attacked in wars and with organized terror campaigns called intifadas. The Palestinians rewarded the Israeli decision to turn the whole of Gaza over to them in 2005 by rocketing it ceaselessly from there until the Israelis conducted a military operation in June to bring a stop to it. In the process, they discovered dozens of tunnels intended to be used by terrorists to attack Israelis.

The Palestinians have been given many opportunities to have peace with Israel but they have never chosen to embrace it. American efforts by several Presidents have all failed. There are two Palestinian groups that claim governance or representation, the Palestinian Authority located on the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza.

The answer why is perhaps best found in the Hamas founding document. Proclaimed in 1988, it calls for the creation of an “Islamic state in Palestine in place of Israel and the Palestinian territories, and the obliteration or dissolution of Israel.” How is that to be achieved? Victory is defined as “killing the last Jew on earth…”

The murderous nature of Islam was highlighted in the latest Global Terrorism Index published by the Institute for Economics and Peace. CNS news reported that “The number of people killed by terrorists worldwide in 2013 rose by 60 percent compared to the previous year—from 11,133 to 17,958—with four Sunni Muslim extremist groups responsible for two-thirds of all fatalities…”

The Middle East was the region where most of the killings occurred and it should be noted that Christians for whom the region has been home for millenia have been also been targeted in the same fashion as Israel’s Jews.

In a broader context, the level of anti-Semitism has been increasing in recent years and, despite the horror of the Holocaust during World War II, it is particularly evident in Europe. The increased Muslim population in European nations may have something to do with that, but it is also clear that the hostility toward Jews is evident in its non-Muslim population. It is not an exaggeration to say that one can find anti-Semitism virtually anywhere in the world, even in nations where there is no perceptible Jewish population.

The two Palestinians who perpetrated the attack were killed in a police shootout. In a November 19 editorial, The Wall Street Journal opined that “What Israel needs now is confidence that the U.S. will not reward these acts of jihad by browbeating Mr. Netanyahu back into negotiations with Mr. Abbas.”

“The best way to prevent another intifada is to reassure Israel that the U.S. supports its self-defense, while warning Palestinians that they will never have a homeland as long as they cultivate a society that celebrates murdering the innocent in the name of religion.”

The Palestinians are not members of a sovereign state and never have been. The closest one gets to one is Jordan which is home to many Palestinians. Other Middle East nations have not assimilated the Palestinians, often keeping them in camps for generations and denying them any vestige of citizenship. They are the oldest refugee group of the modern era, but those who chose Israeli citizenship enjoy the rights of all Israelis. According to Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, the Arab population in 2013 was 1,658,000!

Jews are members of the oldest monotheistic religion on Earth. Judaism birthed a breakaway religion called Christianity which incorporates the Old Testament with the New, and about 1,400 years ago Mohammad declared he was the newest and last prophet. He proclaimed Islam, an amalgam of the first two religions and the paganism of his Arab culture.

In 1948 Jews resurrected Israel and restored it as the Jewish state. Killing rabbis and other Israelis will not change that, something that Muslims antagonistic to Israel refuse to understand, but they also don’t understand why having two distinct and warring sects claiming to be the only true Islam, Sunni and Shiite, nor killing each other doesn’t make a lot of sense either.

Are Jews safe in Israel? No more than on any other inch of planet Earth.

American Studies Association the Anti-Semitic Association

The American Studies Association (ASA), allegedly a scholarly association – (“our nation’s oldest (1951) and largest association devoted to the interdisciplinary study of American culture and history,”) has abandoned its scholarly pursuits to boycott Israel, and banned Israel’s university representatives participation in a forthcoming academic conference at a California hotel/resort.  The chain subsequently declined.  Why would a once-respectable organization depart from its stated mission, and take on a jihadist agenda? Answer: moral bankruptcy – clearly and definitively anti-Semitic, they have chosen Marxism and Islamism over democracy, virtue, and integrity.

Jihadist professors want to isolate Israel for the “Palestinian cause,” a deflection and façade for the greater global threat of world domination.  A blood-thirsty lot, Mahmoud Abbas has openly called for the murder of Israelis.  The reign of terror has begun on the Jewish state, just as it is underway in other countries.  This is the group that ASA supports; this is the group that ASA has become.

As I noted in December, 2013:

[Then-]President Curtis Marez admitted that there are worse countries than Israel but, he added, “One has to start somewhere.” Can you picture Marez as part of a firefighting team sent to extinguish a blaze in Southern California, and he’ll start “somewhere” in North Dakota? So they’re boycotting Israel’s universities, which are also attended by Palestinian students, rather than boycotting Palestinian universities, which were instituted by Israel but are prohibited to Jewish students.

All but the comatose know that Israel has won more Nobel prizes per capita than any other country, has more laureates in real numbers than China, Mexico and Spain; publishes more books translated from other languages, and Israelis read more books per capita than any other nation.  She leads with the number of scientists and technicians in the work force (exceeding the U.S. by 63%) and most physicians and engineers per capita, ranks third in producing the most scientific papers per capita, and her contributions to medicine and agriculture are beyond miraculous.  With Israel’s dedication to morality and improving life, she appears as the moral conscience that Islam and ASA resent.  The association has chosen tyranny over democracy, using Palestinian propaganda to trash Israel, while also harming America and the entire non-Islamic world.  We are all Islam’s despised infidels.

  • An estimated nine million Christians martyred by Islam, another 50 million killed in jihad, and still another million African Christians killed in the 20th century, total 60 million Christians.
  • Between the 8th and 19th century, 10 to 18 million Africans were brought by Arab slave traders from Africa.
  • An estimated 80 million Hindus were killed in 500 years of jihad against India, counted among the world’s greatest genocides. India’s mountains, Hindu Kush, mean funeral pyre, where Indian women first self-immolated to escape Muslim rape and enslavement.  Tamerlane, one of the most violent jihadists (and after whom a Boston Marathon bomber was named), devastated 700 villages, killing 90,000 Indians in a day, enslaving 180,000.  His son destroyed temples, forced conversions, and built two towers of human heads “so high that men on horseback could not see over them.”
  • About 10 million Buddhists were killed by jihadists in Turkey, Afghanistan, along the Silk Route, and in India.
  • Jihad was 100% effective against Jews in Arabia. Lacking political power, Jews submitted to dhimmihood, and destroyed Persian Zoroastrians.
  • After constant wars between Persia and the Byzantine Empire, followed by the Black Plague, Islam’s apostles invaded, slaughtered Christians and Persians, destroyed Egypt (the breadbasket) and Syria (heart of the law), and annihilated all classical civilization in Europe within 25 years.
  • Over 1400 years, Muslims brutally killed 270 million, which now historians estimate at 300-400 million. Since 9/11, this “religion of peace” has carried out almost 25,000 deadly terrorist attacks against five religions.

In every measurable area of civilization, the Islamic world finishes last or next to last, their people among the highest in illiteracy and in producing terrorists, suffering and bloodshed.  Islam glorifies memorizing the 7th century Qur’an and poverty, which go hand in hand with backwardness, frustration, jealousy, anger and war, with which ASA is seeking “deeper engagement.”  And, because the Qur’an teaches that Islam is superior to all other religions, the Muslims must annihilate those who stand between them and supremacy – advanced Western civilization – whether by sword or social, political, and economic destruction for conquest.

Islamists obstructed early Mediterranean commerce, forcing traders to the Silk Road, increasing expenses, hardships, and travel time by months; and continue to kidnap, rape and behead, to intimidate and frighten, and enforce Sharia. They use less violent means to demand “religious” accommodations, infiltrate government and academia, boycott to foil international cooperation and tourism, create no-go zones to control cities.  The war against Israel is most publicized, but Sweden, rape capital of the world, also holds the world record for rapes and number of school fires set by Muslims – one per day.  They are versatile, determined and persuasive to entice the unprincipled.

In her incoming speech, ASA’s president, Lisa Duggan, identified her Neo-Marxist radicalism, citing “American Imperialism” as their focus.  Novelist Giannina Braschi, mocking the 9/11 attacks, advocated holy war against capitalism and individual achievement.  They deliberately displayed their moral bankruptcy when abandoning their founding tenets, and of 5,000 members, 2,200 library and other institutions, only 200+ universities rejected the bigoted boycott of Israeli and US scholars; four universities withdrew their membership.  Jihadist professors and academicians are collaborating with pure lethal hatred against Israel (national origin) and Jews (religion).  This is not a Palestinian issue, but discrimination and a national and international campaign against Jews, as existed in Germany, 1933 – to be followed by books banned or burned?

ASA should be deprived of its tax-exempt non-profit 501(c) organization, since it has become a political advocacy group.

Ironically, this is jihad against “infidels” by other non-Islamic “infidels.”  Duggan does not address Islam’s legacy to the world, their history of brutality that changed entire continents, North Africa and the Middle East, from Christian to Muslim. Rather, she has joined the (at least) 63,035,000 jihadists responsible for financing the Munich Massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes; refusing the many peace efforts; inciting riots, throwing stones, butchering innocents, using Muslim human shields to increase their blame tactics; the terror tunnels, and the current car and lone-wolf intifada. Duggan has joined the Muslims who have invented nothing, created nothing, and given nothing to civilization’s betterment.

Today, ISIS (wealthiest terror group) demolishes shrines, temples and tombs, and relishes decapitation; Hamas (second wealthiest group) uses Muslim children to dig tunnels through which to reach and slaughter Israeli children; Boko Haram kidnaps, rapes, and enslaves; Palestinians are malevolently slaughtering Israelis and firing rockets from occupied schools and hospitals, and ASA is deliberately showing solidarity in religious discrimination with these savages for a “greater Islam.”  Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram and the Brotherhood knew to appeal to different strata of the American population; advancement of the Islamic movement includes, among many others, the world of education. Ties exist between the Muslim Brotherhood, ASA, and Georgetown University professor and member of President Obama’s National Advisory Board, Dr. John Esposito.

Show me just what Mohammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith that he preached.” – Manuel II Palaiologos, one of the last Christian rulers before the Fall of Constantinople to the Muslim Ottoman Empire.

“Israel has proved that for fifty years, its real power is in its democracy, guarding the rights of citizens, applying laws to the rich and poor, the big and small . . . and in the participation of the nation in the development of institutions according to ability and efficiency…” – Columnist Dr. Talal Al-Shareef, Palestinian newspaper Al Quds, May 27, 1999.

The Great Deceivers: Obama, Mary Landrieu and the Democrats

Stop urinating on us and telling us it is raining. Please forgive me for using a crude saying. However, it perfectly and succinctly describes what Obama, Mary Landrieu and the Democrats have been doing to Americans, particularly blacks, for a very long time; until we stop them.

In their remarkable arrogance and assumption that most voters are clueless idiots, Obama and his minions look reporters and the American people in the eye via TV and tell us flat out lies, huge whoopers without even blinking. They act as if there is no such thing as video archives and fact checkers.

Clearly, Obama and his posse know that they can count on the liberal MSM to cover/protect their derrieres; complicit in their efforts to deceive the American people.

Here is Obama’s most recent in your face lie/deception. Obama plans to push forward with the feds taking control of the internet against the will of a vast majority of the American people. In Democrat fool-ya fashion, he claims he wants to “save the internet”. Obama is lying. His intention is to add another notch on his gun of government overreaching power grabs.

One thing you can count on. Whatever Obama and his minions say they seek to achieve, their hidden agenda is the polar opposite.

Sen. Mary “voted with Obama 97% of the time” Landrieu has been deceiving her constituents for 18 years; promoting herself as a champion for blacks and women. She is neither. Finally, Louisiana blacks have begun to realize the truth and are pushing back. Praise God!

Dr Wayne Dyer says that when you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out because that’s what’s inside. Squeezed by low polling numbers, Mary Landrieu’s superiority, arrogance, condescension and true contempt for her constituents came out during an interview. Landrieu blamed Louisianan voter’s rejection of her and Obama’s agenda on southern state racism and sexism. In essence, calling Louisiana voters a bunch of ignorant redneck racists and sexists.

But folks, Landrieu was simply following the Democratic Party’s disrespect for the intellect of voters standard fool-ya play book. When all else fails, lie/deceive, demonize and create hate.

When Republican Congressman Paul Ryan proposed a plan to save Medicare, Democrat minions produced a deplorable ad to deceive voters and demonize Ryan; depicting him pushing a helpless terrified gray-haired grandmother in a wheelchair over a cliff plunging to her death. Meanwhile, Obama cut Medicare by $718 billion dollars.

The Democrats deceived many into believing that Republicans had a war on women. Meanwhile, guess who has a history of keeping women in chains? Answer: The Democrats.

In 1964, Democrat president Lyndon Johnson implemented government welfare programs promoted as his “war on poverty”. Twenty-two trillion dollars later, government playing Robin Hood by taking from the rich and redistributing to the poor, progress against poverty has been minimal. Democrat government dependency programs mixed with the lowering of moral and cultural standards have left the black family and community in shambles. The mission was never about ending poverty, but rather addicting blacks to government handouts to secure their votes forever.

My 86 year old black dad told me a great story about black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. A few years ago, dad volunteered at a mostly black Baltimore elementary school. Dad said they took a bus load of students to Washington DC on a field trip to meet Justice Thomas. Justice Thomas asked security to put them in a side room. After his court case, Justice Thomas met with the students. Justice Thomas said he was a knucklehead as a kid, but turned his life around. The kids were very excited and Justice Thomas took a lot of pictures with the kids.

I reminded dad that Justice Thomas is despised by the NAACP and the Democrats, despite probably being the most powerful black man in the world second to Obama. I told my dad Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were thugs. And yet, the NAACP, Democrats and the MSM have tried to elevate them to hero status. Meanwhile, they despise extraordinarily successful superb black role models such as Dr Ben Carson, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, businessman extraordinaire and presidential candidate Herman Cain and Justice Thomas.

If black empowerment is truly their goal, why would the NAACP, the Democrats and MSM celebrate thugs while, not just hating, but seeking to destroy real black achievers? The answer is simple. The Democrats and their minions are great deceivers whose sole mission is to secure loyal black voters at any and all cost. Thugs Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown help to promote the Democrats’ narrative that white cops shoot blacks at will; vote for us to keep them from murdering you.

Evil deceivers produced an outrageous ad claiming that if blacks do not vote, they need to send their kids to school wearing bulletproof vests to protect them from police. Beyond the pale. A bottomless gutter shameful tactic.

The Democrats’ modus operandi is to deceive, deceive, deceive. Democrat Charlie Rangel tried to portray the decent hard working patriotic members of the Tea Party as white racist segregationists. Totally absurd, divisive, evil and deceptive.

I feel like if MLK came back today he would be heartbroken, thinking, “What in the world happened!” He gave his life for blacks to have equal opportunity and be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. He never intended for race exploitation and racial division to become an industry.

It has also been exposed that Obama and his great deceiver minions used deception and the assumption that the American people are stupid to pass Obamacare.

2 Corinthians 11:13 made me think of Obama, Mary Landrieu and the Democrats: the great deceivers. “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.”

The Democrat great deceivers will surely continue their insidious deceit until we exercise our power to politically stop them.

Are Republicans Ready to Welcome Blacks?

Since the Republicans takeover of Congress on Nov. 4, I have received numerous emails and phone calls from many of my friends who are Democrats indicating that they are ready to join the Republican Party. My dilemma is that I am not quite sure the Republican Party is ready to receive them.

I began to call these friends one at a time to discuss what made them come to the conclusion that they are ready to join the Republican Party. The common theme sounded was that they were never so much in love with the Democrats. Rather, Republicans made it clear that there was no room in the party for them.

This goes to what I have written about in the past: It doesn’t matter how much a person agrees with you if they feel like you don’t care about them or that you don’t want them to join your group.

When you see Republicans or Republican events on TV, you see a crowd of nothing but White faces in the audience. Because of these optics, many Blacks feel that the party has absolutely no interest in Blacks being involved in their events on any level. Republicans and Blacks agree on the need to address the high unemployment within our community.

Republicans and Blacks agree on the need to promote more opportunities for Black entrepreneurs, noting that under Obama, SBA loans are almost nonexistent and federal procurement opportunities have all but dried up. Republicans and Blacks agree on the need to promote school choice and vouchers for those who are stuck in nonperforming schools. Republicans and Blacks are united in their opposition to Obama’s pro-homosexual agenda and amnesty for illegals.

But Republicans have not taken advantage of what they have in common with African Amerians. Instead they have given the spotlight to Blacks who run away from their race and serve as nothing but official mouthpieces for the party. These characters have no ties to the Black community. They use incendiary rhetoric that alienate Blacks rather than win them over.

The party must also stop hiring Democrats as their consultants for their campaigns. I often say that the best way to for a Black Republican to get attention in the Republican Party is to be a Black Democrat. Just look at what happened in the Mississippi senate and Illinois governor’s races. Each campaign spent more money with Black Democrats than they did with Black Republicans. I challenge you to name me one instance where a Democrat ever hired a Black Republican to work on or to be a consultant for one of their campaigns. It doesn’t happen.

If you don’t take care of known Republicans, why would anyone in their right minds stick their neck out and publically associate themselves with the Republican Party? Republicans have no appreciation for the pitfalls of Blacks being publically aligned with them. Businessmen lose contracts, preachers lose members, and students are ridiculed.

So, if the party wants Blacks to publically associate with them, what are they prepared to do to protect them from their liberal detractors? By publically promoting Blacks who are ashamed of their Blackness, over time the public will see that it is OK to be Republican.

In other words, treat Blacks like you treat your White Republican friends. When you need consultants, you pick up the phone and call your White friends and direct business opportunities to them. Why is it that this doesn’t happen to Black Republicans?

When you are looking for staffers, you call your friends from the country club to get recommendations. When was the last time you called a Black for recommendations for a job opening? When you are looking for someone to create your website, you call one of your lobbyist friends. Have you every aggressively sought a Black vendor to provide any type of professional services to your campaign?

I find it fascinating that with all the Republicans organizing their campaign for their 2016 presidential runs, I am not aware of one Black that’s part of the inner circle of any of the campaigns. I am fed up with speeches about diversity that is not reflected in reality.

I am not convinced the party is ready to shift its thinking. What a shame if the Republican Party, once again, blows a great opportunity to grow the party into a true governing majority.

Why are we in Iraq and Afghanistan?

In accordance with Article 2 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution we must remove all U.S. forces from Iraq and Afghanistan and let the Muslims kill each other. Its not our job to police two factional groups of warring terrorists. Its not our job to arm them or provide them with supplies. Its not the job of the American tax payer to fund the training of Muslim armies friendly to us or not.

It is time to secure our own borders not the borders of Syria and Iraq. It is time to come home.

This is not a forced retreat its a constitutional removal of illegal U.S. military forces on foreign soil operating without a declaration of war and outside of an expired war powers act. The real threat to the United States sits on a throne in Saudi Arabia and roosts in a chair in the Oval Office. As for the Americans getting captured and beheaded…. stay home and you won’t be put in that position. We have people in this country that need help. Set up food banks here not in Syria. Then you will keep your head or maybe you liberal do gooders should run faster and don’t get captured.

The Chinese and the Russians are not wasting money policing Muslim countries. They do not bomb Muslim lands and they do not have their skyscrapers destroyed. They do not put their troops on Muslim soil and do not try to change them. The Russians learned this lesson from 1979 to 1989. We do not pay attention to the lessons of war. Meanwhile the Russians and Chinese are building their forces to use against us. They are not our friends. They laugh at our dumb Congress our inept Senate and President.

So Obama is now asking for $1.6 billion dollars to train Iraqi and Kurdish forces to fight the Islamic State all part of a $5.6 billion request to expand the US mission in Iraq. Why? What are we doing in this third world grave yard of empires? Why have we been wasting tax money for 13 years trying to mold Christian Constitutional values on these evil camel herders? We will never achieve this goal. Its not our job.

What is the operational, tactical and strategic goal of the United States in the Middle East? Nobody knows and our men and women who fight to win are being thrown in jail by our own government to appease these Muslims when we inflict collateral damage. You know what Mr. Congressman either let our men and women fight to win under a declaration of war or bring them all home. No more delay. What the mission? What’s the exit strategy? You don’t have a clue, do you? Our government is being run by all the kids that grew up riding the short yellow bus to school.

Let the Muslims kill each other and secure our borders back home with this money. Stop this insanity.

We are $18 trillion dollars in debt not including the unfunded mandates like Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare. The Russians are flying bombers in the Gulf Of Mexico. They are sailing war ships and hiding ballistic missile submarines around our coast lines while illegal immigrants from the south are flooding across our borders. Why is our Congress and Senate so concerned with the Middle East? Enough already. Get your priorities straight Mr. Congressman and Mr. Senator.

How many more men and women must have their legs blown off from IED’s or be shot at point blank range by the very Muslim forces we are training. We are tired of your moronic military operational tactics. It borderline criminal and unconstitutional. Our Founding Fathers did not give us the Constitution to be party to a United Nations one world government. We are a sovereign nation that needs to cut off all trade with the Middle East. Starve them out.

We have enough oil here we just need to get the Collectivists and the environmentalist tree huggers to stop impeding free market capitalism. Jail would be a good place for them. They get free food, free housing, free medical and cable TV. They will be set. Its a perfect utopia for these miscreants.

Halloween Candy at the White House

The Congressional Medal of Honor (CMOH) was created in 1861 during the early months of the Civil War.  It is the nation’s highest military honor and is awarded for “personal acts of valor, above and beyond the call of duty.”  Since its inception, 3,469 CMOH have been awarded, more than half during the Civil War when acts of “uncommon valor” were more loosely construed than in subsequent wars.

Of the twenty-eight presidents who’ve served since the CMOH was established, only eight have had no military service, including a group of six consecutive presidents covering the period from March 1913 through April 1945.  Those six were Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, and Franklin D. Roosevelt.  Roosevelt was afflicted with polio and would not have been accepted into military service under any circumstance.

In more recent history, seventy-four CMOH have been awarded since 1992.  Bill Clinton awarded thirty-eight during his eight years in office (22 of which were awarded, deservedly, to Japanese-Americans, even though their friends and relatives were being held in internment camps), George W. Bush awarded eleven medals during his eight years in office, and Barack Obama has awarded twenty-five CMOH in less than six years in office.  And although I would not wish to accuse Obama of having anything but the most honorable of intentions, it sometimes seems as if every time he feels the need for a bit of face-time with the TV cameras he passes out yet another CMOH… almost as if they were Halloween candy.

On January 20, 1993, the day of the inauguration of George H.W. Bush, I attended an inaugural ball honoring the living recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor as a guest of the military officers who comprised the Honor Guard for the CMOH recipients.

The inaugural ball was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Capitol Hilton Hotel, in Washington, and as my lady friend and I stood at the center of the room, surrounded by a host of men and women in formal attire, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful blue ribbons encircling the black satin collars of many of the honored guests, and the magnificent five-pointed star that dangled just below the black bow ties of their formal attire.

We were surrounded by no fewer than fifty-four Medal of Honor recipients, all gathered in one room, and as I attempted to envision the heroic deeds that those men had performed to merit those medals, a cold chill ran up my spine and the hair stood up on the back of my neck.  It was a great honor for this former field artillery corporal just to be in the same room with them.

What causes me to recall that very special evening was the recent news that Barack Obama has awarded the CMOH, posthumously, to Lieutenant Alonzo H. Cushing, who was fatally wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863, in the decisive battle known as Pickett’s Charge.

Cushing, a classmate of General George Armstrong Custer, graduated from West Point in early June 1861.  Although he and other members of his class were not scheduled to graduate until May 1862, the need for infantry and artillery officers… in both the Union and Confederate Armies… was such that the graduation of the Class of 1862 was moved up to June 1861.

At the Battle of Gettysburg, Cushing served as commanding officer of Battery A, 4th U.S. Artillery.  He was mortally wounded on July 3, 1861, just twenty five months after graduation, on a hilltop near the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  The objective of the Confederate forces, under command of General George E. Pickett, was a spot of ground called Cemetery Ridge.  It was an ill-fated and ill-conceived military assault that history has recorded as Pickett’s Charge.

According to historical accounts, Cushing was wounded three times.  His first wound was caused by a shell fragment that passed through his shoulder.  His second wound was caused by shrapnel that struck him in the abdomen and the groin.  The abdominal wound was said to have been so severe that it exposed his intestines, which he then held in place with his hand as he continued to command his troops.

As he did so, a superior officer instructed him to go to the rear, where he could receive medical attention, but Cushing refused to leave and stood by his guns.  However, because of the severity of his wounds, he was unable to make himself heard over the sounds of battle.  As he was held erect by his First Sergeant, who communicated his orders to his cannoneers, Cushing was fatally wounded when a bullet entered his mouth and exited through the back of his skull.

The Confederate soldiers under Pickett’s direct command were almost exclusively from Virginia, with supporting troops from Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee.  And while the Union forces lost about 1,500 killed and wounded, the Confederate casualty rate was over 50% of their total strength.  Pickett’s division alone suffered 498 killed, 643 wounded, and 833 wounded and captured… a total of 1,974 casualties.

The division commanded by General J. Johnston Pettigrew, which marched on Pickett’s left flank, suffered losses estimated at 2,363, including 470 killed and 1,893 wounded.  The division commanded by General Isaac R. Trimble, which marched in support of Pettigrew’s division, suffered 855 casualties, with 155 killed and 650 wounded.  The brigade commanded by General Cadmus M. Wilcox, which supported Pickett’s right flank, suffered 200 killed and wounded, while the brigade commanded by Col. David Lang lost approximately 400.  It is estimated that total losses during Pickett’s Charge came to 6,555, of which at least 1,123 Confederates were killed, 4,019 wounded, and a good number of others wounded and captured.

And while Lieutenant Cushing and other members of the Union Army fought bravely and valiantly, the same can be said of the sons of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia who fought valiantly during Pickett’s assault on Cemetery Ridge.

On the Confederate side of the battle line there was much less attention paid to decorations for valor.  On October 13, 1862, the Confederate Congress in Richmond, Virginia, approved legislation creating a wartime award called the Southern Cross of Honor.  The statute was titled, “An Act to authorize the grant of medals and badges of distinction as a reward for courage and good conduct on the field of battle.”  The text of the act read as follows:

The Congress of the Confederate States of America do enact, That the President be, and he is hereby, authorized to bestow medals with proper devices upon such officers of the armies of the Confederate States as shall be conspicuous for courage and good conduct on the field of battle; and also to confer a badge of distinction upon one private or noncommissioned officer of each company after every signal victory it shall have assisted to achieve. The noncommissioned officers and privates of the company who may be present on the first dress parade thereafter may choose, by a majority of their votes, the soldier best entitled to receive such distinction, whose name shall be communicated to the President by commanding officers of the company…”

However, Civil War historians tell us that the medals and badges of distinction were never conferred upon any officer, non-commissioned officer, or private, in spite of the fact that NCOs and privates of any victorious unit were given the right to confer the award, by majority vote, on one of their fellow soldiers.

The concept of a Southern Cross of Honor was revived in July 1898, some thirty-three years after the end of hostilities, at a reunion of Confederate veterans.  The United Daughters of the Confederacy were authorized to confer the medal on any Confederate veteran who was found to have provided “loyal, honorable service to the South…. in recognition of this devotion.”

Although the last verified Confederate veteran died in 1951, the Commonwealth of Virginia continues to make it a Class 3 Misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $500, for any person to wear the Southern Cross of Honor, “when not entitled to do so by the regulations under which such Crosses of Honor are given.”

Lorenzo Cushing’s story is a gripping tale of heroism and there is no doubt that his courage in battle deserves to be recognized and commemorated.  However, the question arises, is it entirely appropriate and in good taste, 150 years after Robert E. Lee’s surrender at Appomattox, to continue to rub salt into old wounds by commemorating the valor of Union soldiers who killed and wounded large numbers of other Americans in a civil war?  Is it not time we relegated the Civil War, the saddest chapter in American history, to where it belongs: the pages of history?

Would it not be more appropriate to erect a monument to Cushing’s bravery in the town square of his hometown, Fredonia, New York?  Of course, such an event would not provide a photo-op for Obama, a man who lacked the courage to wear the uniform of the United States, even in peacetime, but who now insists, unashamedly, on being called the “commander in chief.”

Of the seventy-five CMOH awarded since 1993, thirty-eight were awarded by Bill Clinton, a Vietnam War draft dodger, while Barack Obama, a man who used a forged draft card as part of his identity documentation when he ran for president, is on a path toward awarding 35 CMOH during eight years in office.  Were Clinton and Obama really concerned about the courageous acts of men in battle, or were they more interested in the photo-ops provided by passing out the CMOH as if they were Halloween candy for heroes?  We’ll never know, but what we do know is that men often do very uncharacteristic things when they are motivated by a guilty conscience.

The flag of Palestine, 1939

For a larger view click on the image.

This 1939 flag of Palestine shows that it was recognized as a Jewish entity even then, and that the name “Palestine” historically referred to a region (so named by the Romans after they expelled the Jews in 134 AD, using the name of the Philistines, the Israelites’ Biblical enemies), not to a people.

There was no Palestinian nationality before the 1960s, when it was invented in order to reposition what was then universally known as the Arab/Israeli conflict. Up to the invention of “Palestinians,” the Israelis were the tiny, besieged people amidst a huge number of hostile Arabs; after that invention, the “Palestinians” themselves became the tiny, besieged people against the big, bad Israelis. PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein said this in 1977:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

The Israelis were mistaken ever to play along with this charade.

“1939 Palestinian Flag. What does it look like? Surprised?,” Factual Israel, November 14, 2014 (thanks toPamela Geller):

This a Larousse French dictionary from 1939. In the appendix it lists all the then current flags of the world in alphabetical order. You’ll notice that for Germany at that time the flag was the Nazi one replete with Zwastika which proves that this was pre-1945 ( before 1945) ! .

Now, alphabetically, look for the Palestinian Flag. YES , there is one. What does it look like? Surprised? Oh, but you thought (Mandate Jewish) Palestine was an Islamic Arab-,Turkish-, Circassian Sovereign State that the bad Jews took over , right?

From 1920-1948 a ( class ‘A’ Mandate) State of Palestine existed as per international law but it was, as all of its major institutions, Jewish. Until the 1960s, name “Palestine” resonated as something Jewish to European ears; the Muslims rejecting the name saying it didn’t belong. The 4,000 year old Jewish homeland or “Land of Israel” or the “Holy Land” were all synonymous!!

The British as legal Mandatory over the Mandate managed or mismanaged the state partially with Jewish Auxilary until Jews regained official sovereignty in 1948, by declaring independence.

The U.N. did not recreate Israel as some people claim.
