And Pretty Soon You Have Some Real – What?

I planned to spend the month of January clearing out files and getting old interests off of my computer to make room for new ones rather than doing any writing but a telephone call from a person well informed about banking, bank regulations, the American legal system, and many other things (including USA, Inc.), and it changed my plans. He called and asked a simple question: “What’s your opinion of Bitcoin?” I’ve had many other friends ask … and have avoided an answer – until now.

Banking, not currency, is my area of expertise … but the two concepts overlap. Without money, what good is a bank?

What is money? Before I address the topic of Bitcoin, this question must be answered. What is money? What is wealth? What is profit? The three are intertwined, but they are not the same thing.

Money is a reward for labor and risk management. People who run their own independent businesses are rewarded with profit for their good decisions (or take losses for bad ones) involving risk management. People who work for them – or for multinational companies – take no risk but provide the sweat of their brow to gain access to money. Stock market investors are rewarded for their good decisions with profit – or are penalized for bad ones. For most people, however, money is the reward for labor and risk management. After earning it, it becomes the means to survive, giving us access to everything from housing and comfort – to the opposite. Anyone who opens a business every day manages risk. Anyone who invests in various market products – from stocks to bonds and mutual funds and metals – manages risk. When you get to the bottom line, though, money is something the vast majority of people think they can stuff in their mattress or pull from their wallets to pay for a drink at the local bar or to tip a waitress at Denny’s for good breakfast service.

As long as government can put you in prison for not paying your taxes, what backs America’s paper currency is not “nothing.” People tell you that but it is untrue. What supports the Dollar/Federal Reserve Note is the tax base of the nation. Our paper money is backed by the taxes paid by the American people, by the sweat of our brow, by the value of our real estate (before mortgage-backed derivatives ruined it), and our commodities. Generally, productivity determines our wealth, not “things.”

Money is a nationally-recognized medium of exchange – like the U.S. dollar (or Federal Reserve Note – bearing in mind that the word “note” also means “loan”) or the British Pound Sterling or the French Franc or the German Deutsche Mark. But money has changed in the past few years. Computers turned “money” into “virtual currencies” or “digital currencies.” The United States Federal Reserve Note is the largest digital currency in the world. Bitcoin’s claim to being a digital currency is totally minimized when you think about the “digital dollar” for longer than a minute.

Bitcoin supporters – and they are legion – are as dedicated to the concept of a non-government backed currency like Bitcoin as any Greenie is to eliminating carbon footprints. They are pretty radical. They have found something to believe in… something they believe to be better than money produced and regulated and backed by governments around the world.

Supporters of Bitcoin think of it as a non-government (or post-government) currency – but it is not. Government can shut it down anytime it wants. And that was the first answer I gave to the caller who asked the question. A “virtual currency” (like Bitcoin) is invisible. It depends on billions of computers which are linked together. You cannot dilute Bitcoin, you cannot counterfeit it… and those two things make it highly desirable to many people who have lost their confidence in the current central bank-controlled world of money. The dollar is being counterfeited all over the world. The point is, the people have largely lost their trust in government. Like most not terribly bright people, they simply do not recognize the point at which they are going to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs and think that Gordon Gekko’s statement that “Greed is good” is accurate – into infinity. Greed is not good – and fairly earned profits are not bad.

Does Bitcoin bypass central banks and currencies, as its supporters suggest it does? Let me answer that question with a question: How do you obtain Bitcoin? Does someone pay you for it in return for your labor? No… you are paid in the nationally-recognized currency of your nation in return for your labor. People who manage risk to earn profits are also paid in the currency of the realm, so to speak. The only way you can get Bitcoin is to use dollars or yen or francs, etc., to purchase it. Thus, it does not by-pass central banks or currencies. It is dependent upon them for its very existence.

Bitcoin exploded on the American scene… well, it exploded worldwide. The biggest users of Bitcoin are the people of China. The people of India are also heavily invested. People who have had limited access to traditional banks in their nations have been drawn to the Bitcoin digital currency.

The fact is, belief in paper money is crumbling. Why? Because of mortgage-backed derivatives. Because of government reports that tell us inflation is only 3% — when we know what we pay for groceries exceeds that number by far. Because of Quantitative Easing payments by the Federal Reserve to Wall Street banks – certainly not representative of the vast majority of independently-owned commercial banks in America – to prop up the stock market. Because of the manipulation of the precious metals markets by banksters and government agents who act in opposition to the well-being of the citizens of this nation. The fact is, belief in paper money is crumbling because of lies (from ObamaCare to Benghazi to IRS manipulations of tax status qualification). And that has stimulated international interest in Bitcoin.

The problem with America’s currency today is that too much of it is being “printed” – though it’s not really printed these days. It’s just key-coded into a computer. Another problem is Bitcoin stock volatility … it’s gone up 9,000% just this year. Now that could take the currency market on the ride of its life, couldn’t it? Currencies need to be stable or the world can’t be stable. A nation’s currency needs a lack of volatility. One reason so many people want a currency that is backed by gold and silver is because they are sufficiently rare as to prevent too much duplication of them and, thus, a certain amount of non-volatility is achieved. You can’t print – or key-code – a bar of gold into a computer. One of the things supporters point out is that Bitcoin programmers replicated something that cannot be counterfeited or diluted. Well, they say that – but that’s an assumption that hasn’t withstood sufficient tests of time, hacker technology, and marketplace manipulations. It is unproven.

How do you get Bitcoin? You must use the currency of your nation to purchase it. So Bitcoin does not by-pass currency and central banks as advertised. You need your national currency to gain access to it. Thus, Bitcoin’s primary value lies in its stock market price, not in any established market value – perceived, not actual value. And government can shut down Bitcoin anytime it chooses. How? Turn off access to the computer. If you do not think government controls what has access to the Internet, you have not been following the news. Should Bitcoin ever become a real threat to the central banking system, Bitcoin will be shut down. Do you really believe that a central banking system that has seen every President assassinated (or attempts made) when they tried to break away from the central banking system is going to hesitate for one moment to cut off access to Bitcoin should it become a threat? Please!

On June 4, 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 11110 giving the Treasury Department explicit authority “to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or standard silver dollars in the Treasury.” In other words, for every ounce of silver in the U.S. Treasury vault, the government could place new currency into circulation. More than $4 billion in U.S. Notes were created in $2 and $5 denominations. President Kennedy was assassinated five months later … while the Treasury Department was printing $10 and $20 United States Notes (incidentally the $10 and $20 Notes were never circulated). After the Kennedy assassination, the U.S. Notes Kennedy had issued were immediately taken out of circulation. Almost all of the paper currency in the United States – over 99% — is Federal Reserve Notes, not the United States Notes John F. Kennedy constitutionally created.

Abraham Lincoln needed financial assistance to finance the War Between the States (some call it the Civil War). New York banks offered him loans at a 24% to 36% interest rate. Instead, Lincoln got Congress to allow him to produce Greenbacks. The Greenback solution worked so well, Lincoln intended to make it a permanent policy… one that would do away with the need for a central bank. As history teaches us, President Lincoln was shot on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, while watching a play at Ford’s Theater. There were attempts on the life of President Andrew Jackson, too. Jackson firmly opposed central banks and his vow to prevent a central bank was the thrust of his Presidential campaign. He was elected – which should tell you what the people wanted.

Do you really believe the richest, most amoral, most powerful organization in the world – the Bank of International Settlements whose members are the central banks of the world – would have a problem in shutting Bitcoin down in a New York minute if they thought it represented any kind of threat to them? I don’t. All they have to do is remove Bitcoin from the Internet… and without the Internet, there is no Bitcoin. It is, however, interesting to ponder if Bitcoin is a false flag designed to lead people down a yellow brick road, promising a solution to the central bank problem while concurrently creating a huge bubble! We’ll see.

Too, there are technical problems with Bitcoin. For example, if I owe you $1,000 today and give you the correct amount of Bitcoin to pay that debt, by the time you cash my payment the value of the Bitcoin may have sunk sufficiently that you get only half of what you loaned me. That is a solid argument against Bitcoin as a day-to-day form of currency. When something is that volatile, it cannot be used as a medium of exchange. Those who argue that we should use gold and silver coinage rather than paper bills need to own up to the volatility of precious metals, too. We have seen in the past years how easily the gold and silver markets can be manipulated. That’s why they, alone, aren’t good mediums of exchange… under the current system certain banksters get a minute or 15 seconds on the computer before anyone else can invest and set the price for precious metals for the day, making them too volatile. Until the manipulation problem is solved, that problem remains. Part of the solution is using all commodities to back a nation’s currency. The entire world market of commodities cannot be manipulated at the same time.

Digital currencies are, Bitcoin supporters say, the wave of the future. What they neglect to state is that the US Federal Reserve Note is already the world’s largest digital currency.

Many people are aware that a global currency reset is scheduled. Actually, it has already begun. No doubt that the dollar is in big trouble … we all know that. The world’s central banks will soon get rid of the dollar as the international currency of trade and a global currency reset will be used to achieve that. It will not be a hidden event — you will hear the words “global currency reset.” It is scheduled to happen within the next three months… but there are many a slip between cup and lip.

There are 204 countries that agreed with the IMF to revalue their currencies. It is said they have agreed to keep their currencies within a 5% differential of each other. That doesn’t mean the collapse of the US dollar. That comes later. The hope is that the global currency reset will prevent currency wars – which is what we have right now and it’s hurting everyone. In some nations, currencies will be devalued. In others, value will increase. When a currency is devalued, the cost of labor goes down – which appeals to multi-national corporations. Some say the US dollar will go down 30%. – I think the global currency reset will cause the dollar to go down more than that, but that’s just my opinion. In relation to other currencies in the world, the US dollar will be revalued in relation to the value of other currencies worldwide. How will worldwide currency values be established? Productivity and population… and we’re back to where I started this article: the value of money is determined by labor and risk management.

What does that mean? If the dollar drops by 30% , it means 30% inflation. As America gets over its love affair with cheap Chinese products – after the Chinese currency is revalued upward – future costs of those products will be much higher. So there will be a secondary cost increase – and that means more inflation beyond the original 30%.

The currencies will be reset, they say, according to the assets of the country. What is America’s big industry? You’ve heard it from me a hundred times this past year: Debt. That’s why I call the economic driver of our nation “debtism” rather than “capitalism.” We have no manufacturing or industrial base. With Quantitative Easing, the Federal Reserve System’s Balance Sheet has increased from 12 (plus) trillion at the end of the Bush Administration to an explosive $17 trillion under Obama. There are no assets left in America. Debt is our biggest asset.

And now you know why I’ve also been saying for the past year that the best investment you can make is things you will need in the immediate future: Underwear, clothing, toilet paper, shoes (for adults), canned goods and other long-term food, medical materials – iodine, e.g.. They are all going to shoot sky-high in the coming months and years. Take a look at those things on which you are most dependent – and stock up on them.

Notice to marketers: We are now moving from a want-driven marketplace to a needs-driven marketplace.

The United Nations Cesspool

don’t write much about the United Nations because it is everything that it is not supposed to be. It’s supposed to be devoted to human rights and other noble and global aspirations. Instead it is a cesspool in which the worst of its member nations are sponsors of terror and other sins against mankind.

An article on Fox News reminded me of just how horrible, for the most part, the United Nations is despite its occasional usefulness. Anne Bayefsky writes extensively on the subject of human rights. She is a professor at York University, Toronto, Canada and an adjunct professor at Touro College in New York. She has been honored for her work and I rank her as one of the most impressive and important women on the international scene today. Her article took a look back at 2013 and what to expect in 2014.

Lacking any leadership from the United States, a role it has played in international affairs since the end of World War Two, the world is spiraling toward the prospect of a Middle East cataclysm between its secular, moderate population and the insanity of Islamic fascism. As Bayefsky noted, “The U.N. Security Council adopted four legally-binding sanction resolutions on Iran in 2006. American diplomacy managed to extract even Russian and Chinese support for international laws that state ‘Iran shall without further delay…suspend all enrichment related activities.’”

“And yet in 2013 President Obama decided to destroy that hard-won consensus, trash those legal obligations, and authorize Iran to continue enrichment activities.” The U.S. agreement was joined by six world powers, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany, five of whom, other than Germany, are permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. Have they concluded that Iran cannot be stopped? Or should be allowed to join the nuclear club?

Iran has never ceased from regarding itself as at war with the U.S. and Israel. It has never ceased to threaten the existence of Israel. With nuclear arms and long-range missiles, it could destroy or inflict unimaginable damage to the nations who signed onto the deal.

This readiness to ignore the obvious can be seen as well in the composition of the U.N. Human Rights Council. In November, it elected China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Cuba as members. “Half the members of the Council are not even democracies”, noted Bayefsky, “and Islamic states hold the balance of power by controlling the African and Asian blocs.”

“In 2013, the Council criticized Israel more than any other state, almost twice as much as Syria and six times as much as Iran.” That is the very definition of evil and insanity combined. After three years, 130,000 Syrians have been killed in its war and millions have fled to adjacent nations, often having to live in rudimentary camps. It is led by a dictator, Bashar Assad.

U.N. Watch, an independent group, noted that in 2013 the General Assembly “adopted 21 condemnatory resolutions against Israel, compared to 4 on the rest of the world combined.” The U.N. Special Committee on Decolonization, charged with opposing the subjugation of peoples, “elected the murderous Syrian regime to a senior post.”

“The U.N. Conference on Disarmament in May 2013 made Iran its president.”

U.N. Watch noted that “UNESCO, which condemned no other country but Israel, and which was silent as Hamas bulldozed a world heritage site to make a terrorist training came, allowed Syria to sit as a judge on UNESCO’s human rights committee.”

These kinds of decisions and actions are part of a long litany of the United Nations’ behavior that renders its charter a meaningless piece of paper. Recall that the U.N.’s creation began in the United States as World War Two was coming to an end. The secretary general of the conference that organized the U.N. was Alger Hiss, a Russian spy who held high posts in the FDR and Truman administrations.

The United Nations is so entrenched in global diplomatic affairs that its vile actions cannot be lightly dismissed, especially in light of the way it is used by the major powers.

Nothing good can come of this and 2014 may provide testimony to that prediction.

Making Children Poor

Sarasota County, Florida released a series of demographic reports based upon the 2010 Census.  Sarasota is the 14th most populous of 67 counties in Florida and is growing. The census data shows that Sarasota County, like the nation is aging and getting poorer.  One of the reports states that 1 in 5 children in Sarasota County are “poor”.

It is government that defines poor, not the poor defining themselves. There are those who have more and those who have less. However, it has only been recently that those with less have been defined as the “class of poor”.

Charles Murray in his book “Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010” notes, “Michael Harrington’s The Other America created a stir when it was published in 1962 partly because Harrington said America’s poor constituted a class separate from the working class – a daring proposition. At the time, the poor were not seen as a class, either by other Americans or in their own eyes. The poor were working-class people who didn’t make much money.” Harrington’s book was in part responsible for President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty.”

Work (a job) and a traditional family are the two keys to reducing poverty, particularly child poverty.

Those working are less poor than those who do not, those who have been working longer (experienced workers) are less poor than those recently entering the workforce (the young). Children in single parent families are poorer than those living in traditional families.

According to the income level report, “A comparison of poverty as it relates to age reveals that between 2000 and 2010, the percentage of population under 65 years of age in poverty increased significantly for both those under the age of 18 and those between the ages of 18 and 64. The population under 18 experienced the greatest increase in poverty. The percentage of the population in poverty over the age of 65 remained constant during the decade.” Retirees living in Sarasota County depend on stock and bond market investments. The value of these investments have declined during the period of this report.

Under “Families in Poverty” the report notes, “As of 2010, Sarasota County had 8,681 families identified as living below the poverty level. Of those families, 5,450, or 63%, have at least one child below the age of 18. Additionally, 67% of children in poverty are in a single parent household, while almost half of the children in poverty are in families headed by a single female.”

The proximate cause of a child being poor is living in a single parent household according to the report.

The report notes a significant increase of those living below the poverty level since 2000. “Population in Poverty in Sarasota County There are a significant number of individuals classified as living below poverty level in Sarasota County. In 2010, 48,649 persons were living below the poverty level, almost doubling from 24,817 in 2000. However, in terms of both percentage of overall population and percent age of families below the poverty level, Sarasota County has a lower rate than both the state and the nation. Sarasota County also has a lower percentage of population and families in poverty when compared to Manatee and Charlotte counties.”

Sarasota County is a destination city and has a large number of workers in the hospitality and service industries. These industries pay less than jobs in manufacturing or high technology companies.

Downplaying Zionism

jews france

France’s President François Hollande (left).

In mid-December, France’s President François Hollande held a reception at the Elysée palace in honor of the 70th anniversary of the CRIF, as the umbrella organization of French Jews is known. Hollande, whose delivery is often wooden and halting, was unusually at ease with his guests and made sure to note in his remarks that he was celebrating “by extension, all the Jews in France.”

The abiding impression of President Hollande’s substantial address—close to 20 minutes—was that therépublique of diversity could not ask for a better element than the Jews. At a time when thorny issues of immigration and integration of the growing Muslim population threaten to disturb the peace in France, Hollande expressed appreciation for a community that is both an integral part of the history of France—the CRIF, he noted, was created in 1943, during the Nazi occupation, alongside the Conseil National de la Résistance—and, by virtue of the tens of thousands of North African Jews who arrived in France in the 1960s, a model of integration. Hollande also renewed his public promises to combat the rising tide of anti-Semitism that plagues Jews in France today, and he spoke about his November state visit to Israel, describing the country as a refuge. “Your attachment to Israel is normal,” he said. “You don’t have to apologize for it.”

And yet that appears to be what the president of the CRIF, Roger Cukierman, is doing. At a private luncheon with a handful of journalists one week before the anniversary celebration, Cukierman—a banker—outlined a “new look” for the organization, which he previously headed for two terms, starting in 2001. During the six-year hiatus between the end of his last term, in 2007, and his re-election this past spring, he said, the CRIF has come to be seen “an annex to the Israeli embassy … an association of right-wing fascists notorious for their unconditional support of the Israeli government.” That image, he went on, “does not correspond to reality.”

Cukierman cited the organization’s endorsement of the Geneva agreement with Iran as an example of nonalignment. “We see the agreement as a positive step that will preclude military action for the next six months and give the Iranian government time to reconsider its nuclear weapons program,” he said. “Seeing that the cost of sanctions is too high, they might decide, like Qaddafi, to renounce and join the concert of nations.”

It’s an ironic move for a group whose acronym refers to its original name—the Conseil Représentatif des Israélites de France—which incorporated the euphemism Israélites, which was then the polite way of designating Jews. In its early years, the organization linked French Jews of all political persuasions, religious and secular, to join in the resistance against mass arrests and deportations and then in the postwar years to assist survivors and help rebuild the Jewish community. In 1972, the organization changed its official name to Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France. Cukierman readily acknowledges that “anti-Zionism is the elegant way to be anti-Semitic on the Left today”—but nevertheless seems convinced that by soft-pedaling Zionism, the CRIF will be more effective in its combat against anti-Semitism.

As the assembled journalists enjoyed a lunch of foie gras, Mediterranean chicken with rice, and fresh fruit salad, Cukierman went on to describe the troubling climate that prevails in France today. His first term as president of the CRIF coincided with the Second Intifada, the Sept. 11 attacks, and the American-led war in Iraq. Quantitatively, he argued, anti-Semitism is certainly not worse now than it was then. Nevertheless, the perception of a hostile environment has increased—most recently evidenced by the ongoing furor surrounding the comedian Dieudonné M’bala M’bala, whose Nazi-inspired quenelle gesture has gone viral.

Jews, he went on, are the target of hostility from both left and right, and from top to bottom. Though Marine Le Pen has cleaned up the image of the populist, right-wing National Front, its anti-Semitic roots are visible just below the surface. On the left, there are anti-Zionist elements in the Communist and Green parties that have been crucial partners in Hollande’s governing coalition, and there is no evidence of efforts to counter their participation in dubious causes. He noted the continuing spread of the BDS movement, which is officially aimed at Israeli imports but which also affects locally produced kosher products in French supermarkets.

Jewish life in France today is stretched to extremes: unlivable for some in some ways and at some times; vibrant, satisfying, and respected in other ways and at other times. The annual Dîner du CRIF is a glittering event that brings together everyone who is anyone, including, usually, the president of the republic or the prime minister—and sometimes both. Yet, for some, of course, the gala inspires fantasies of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion: a display of power by a group that is a tiny minority, just 0.5 percent of the French population.

Cukierman knows this. As an official of the World Jewish Congress, he has long been devoted to Zionism and to the idea of a common Jewish community. In 2003, he set off a firestorm at the CRIF gala by denouncing a so-called “brown-green-red alliance” joining fascists, the far Left, and Islamists in an “anti-globalization, anti-capitalist, anti-American, anti-Zionist current … a new recipe for old [anti-Semitic] stereotypes.”

During his first term, Cukierman had to deal with the stubborn denial of anti-Semitism from the government of Jacques Chirac and Lionel Jospin while Jews were subject to the worst attacks since the days of Vichy. Cukierman was himself criticized in some quarters for his failure to publicly recognize the anti-Semitic motive for the murder of the popular DJ Sébastien Selam in November 2003 by his Muslim neighbor Adel Boumedienne, who slashed his throat, nearly beheading him, and gouged out his eyes. Three years later, in 2006, Ilan Halimi was kidnapped, held hostage for three weeks, and tortured to death by the Gang of Barbarians, led by the unrepentant anti-Semite Youssouf Fofana.

And most recently, in addition to the quenelle, France has also been subject to a flood of anti-Semitic hashtags on Twitter. These jokes, many have argued, have nothing to do with Israel or Zionism. Neither do the resolution passed by the Council of Europe associating ritual circumcision with female genital mutilation or efforts in several European countries to stigmatize kosher slaughter as savage.

Cukierman’s comments at the press luncheon, which were published by Stéphanie Le Bars in Le Monde, set off a debate within the French Jewish community. A few days before Christmas, Gilles-William Goldnadel, the founder of the French free-speech group Lawyers Without Borders and president of the France-Israel association, published an “invitation to a fraternal dialogue” in which he described Cukierman’s position as “an intellectual and moral capitulation” and strategic error.

There is, in any case, little chance that a “Don’t pick on me, I’m Jewish not Israeli” attitude will prevail in France. French Jews are widely known for being committed Zionists. Beyond the 59 percent increase in French aliyah this year, statistics do not include the thousands of families that live with one foot in France, another in Israel. Geographically, genealogically, politically, and sentimentally French Jews are connected to Israel—and it is unlikely they will be influenced by tactical considerations to downplay their Zionism anytime soon.

The lies they tell at St.James’s Church, Piccadilly, London

St.James’s Church held a biased, expensive, Christmas exhibition that slandered Israel in the form of a high wall to project a false narrative that Israel’s essential security barrier was erected as a crime against Palestinian Arabs, particularly those in Bethlehem. It was, in fact, erected solely to save lives, and it achieved its aim.

But what of the present day oppression of Christian Arabs in Bethlehem? It is real. It is harsh, and it continues today, not by Israelis but by Palestinians. Here are a few facts;

Yasser Arafat defied the Christian tradition in Bethlehem, which had been respected and upheld under Israeli authority, by appointing a Muslim governor and engineered a Muslim takeover of the city council. He then put his stamp on this town by converting the Greek Orthodox monastery, next to the Church of the Nativity, into his official Bethlehem residence.

The Church of the Nativity was desecrated and vandalized by Palestinian Muslim gunmen (terrorists) who kept priests and nuns as hostages between April 2 and May 10 in 2002.

At great risk to his life, Pastor Naim Khoury, of the Bethlehem Baptists Church, exposed the developing threats to Christians within the territories controlled by the Palestinian Authority. “People are always telling Christians to convert to Islam.”

His ministry is based on love and non-violence. He is also a strong advocate for Zionism based on God’s land covenant with Israel through Abraham.
Because of his views, his church has been bombed fourteen times, and he has been shot three times. He has been threatened by the Palestinian Authority to close the doors of his church which they consider as “illegitimate.”

This brave Christian priest needs and deserves the active support of church leaders worldwide. Instead, they turn their back on him, selecting only Israel for their wrath, ignoring the human rights crimes of the Palestinian leadership whom they openly support. How twisted is that?

Elias Freij, the Christian mayor of Bethlehem at the time of the Oslo Accords in 1993, warned Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, to maintain control over his town. “Bethlehem will become a town of churches devoid of Christians if you transfer control to the Palestinian Authority.”

Israel caved in to international pressure, handed over Bethlehem to the Palestinian Authority and, for the middle class Christian residents, their lives became threatened. They fled and, under the threatening reign of the Palestinian Authority, the mayor’s warning became the current Christian nightmare in Bethlehem.

The St. James’s Church Christmas charade failed to mention the fear that pervades the shrinking Christian population. The fear of attack by Muslim Palestinians is personified by Joseph Canawati whose sister, her husband, and three children have fled to America.
“I want to leave but nobody will buy my business. I feel trapped. We are isolated,” he complained. But the Piccadilly church leaders turn a deaf ear to his plea.

What of the fear of death at the hands of non-Christian Palestinians in Bethlehem, such as that felt by Jeriez Moussa Amaro whose two sisters, Rada aged 24 and Dunya aged 18, were gunned down by Palestinian Muslims in their own home. Their crime was to be young, attractive, and wear Western clothes and no veil.

Sami Qumsieh, the general manager of “The Nativity,” the only Christian television station in Bethlehem, has received death threats and visits from armed gunmen. He is now ready to leave.

“As Christians, we have no future here.”

How sad it is that this church, the British Methodist Church, and many other Christian leaders are blindsided in their pursuit of a perceived Jewish enemy that they fail to come to the rescue of, or campaign for, protest, make expensive exhibitions, for their co-religionists, persecuted by those who they actively and expensively support.

The church exhibition in the heart of London is a perverted, untruthful, and twisted rendering that says more about a Christianity in the cause of evil than a Christianity in search of love, peace, and truth. It says more about the lost soul of St.James’s Church and its leaders than it does about Israel.

They called their event “Bethlehem Unwrapped.” It would have been more truthful to call it “Bethlehem Unravelled” under the threatening and deceitful reign of the Palestinian Authority.

Nazi Roots of the Knockout Game

Mr. V. Pfeffer a Jewish survivor of Majdanek concentration camp in Poland described a “favorite sport of the SS men was to make a ‘boxing sack’ out of a Jew. This was done in the following way: Two Jews were stood up, one being forced to hold the other by the collar, and an SS man trained giving him a knock-out.”

Fast forward to 2013 and the Nazi SS Knockout Game is recycled and open for business.  On November 24, 2013, Shmuel Pearl, an Orthodox Jew, was hit in the face by Amrit Marajh as part of the ‘Knockout Game’.  Mr. Pearl testified he overheard his attacker talking about the game before the assault.  Amrit Marajh was released on $750 bail which in and of itself is a travesty of justice.

On November 25th police were investigating a 72 year old woman who was hit in the face while walking to a Brooklyn Jewish community center.

The majority of reported ‘Knockout Game’ attacks are black on white crimes.  However, on November 26, 2013, the Caucasian Conrad Barrett, was charged with a hate crime by the US Department of Justice for punching a 79 year old black man in a ‘knockout game’ style attack.

Attempted Murder

From my sparring days I can tell you a solid punch to the face is no innocent game.

An unaware victim of a punch to the face or head while walking down the street is attempted murder.  The punch itself can easily break the 7 fragile orbital bones surrounding the eye potentially sending bone fragments inside the eye socket causing permanent blindness or permanent disfigurement.

It doesn’t take much strength to break or dislocate the jawbone resulting in painful surgery and months of post operative care costing tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical and rehab bills.

Imagine standing upright with your hands tied behind your back and free falling onto a concrete surface.  The potential damage and breakage of bones, shoulders, hips, skulls, and backs are not uncommon.   Just for visual purposes,  I want you go into your refrigerator and grab that melon that is about the same size as your head.  With both hands hold the melon even with your head and drop it on your tile floor or outside on the concrete.

As the cowardly criminals are laughing about dropping you in one punch – your head is that melon free falling from 6 feet onto the concrete.  The thud you hear when the melon hits ground is massive soft tissue damage and a guaranteed concussion.  In many cases the trigeminal nerve trunks in the face are damaged resulting in a lifetime of unbearable pain with limited and costly surgical fixes.

These types of serious internal bodily injuries created from a punch to the head and subsequent fall onto hard concrete often results in long term physical ailments lasting years and decades after the attack.  Victim’s injuries after the attack rarely if ever make the evening news.

Knock-Out-Game

In many cases, a victim of this ‘knockout game’ may be unable to work for weeks or months after the attack dealing with medical and rehabilitation issues.  Imagine the financial stress heaped upon your family if you should suddenly lose your primary source of income for 2-3 months or more.

If the victim works in an office they will be lucky if they are not replaced because a fractured jaw alone impedes clear speech and every social aspect required in the normal course of the work day.   Imagine how hard it would be to do your job if your jaw is wired shut.

There is also mental trauma that is more difficult to quantify.  The criminals who engage in this ‘knockout game’ crime statistically prey on those who appear weak and unable to defend themselves.  Now walking down the street becomes a stressful if not a terrifying proposition.  A victims worldview changes as they see every person on the street as a potential threat,  life is not meant to be lived that way.

Strong Are Supposed To Protect The Weak

The only recourse our society has to combat premeditated attacks on innocent pedestrians is incarcerating these predators in prison for a very long time.

A punch to the head is attempted murder.  If you doubt me, google ‘Knockout Game’ and watch the hundreds of videos.

I was outraged that Amrit Marajh was let out on only $750 bail after punching Shmuel Pearl for no other reason than trying to knock him out in one punch to the head.  Now this piece of garbage Amrit Marajih is walking free but will be smarter and less likely to get himself busted again.

This ‘Knockout Game’ was practiced in the Nazi SS Concentration Camp guards and is being practiced again on the streets of New York City and across the country.

If ‘We The People’ do not demand our State and Federal Justice systems increase the sentencing for these types of ‘knockout game’ crimes it will have an incremental corrosive effect on our society.

Our Society functions by the rule of law and the fear of being thrown in jail.  Once the criminals no longer fear law enforcement and the judicial system,  it is a short slippery slope to chaos and civil unrest.

The mainstream media reports this ‘knockout game’ as a joke and not a very serious crime.  I have proven beyond a shadow of doubt the serious consequences of taking an undefended punch to the head.

The predators who commit these premeditated violent attacks against complete strangers have one objective that has not been reported by the media.

The ultimate objective of the ‘knockout game‘ is to kill a man or woman with one punch.  Charging these predators with attempted murder will quickly put an end to this vile practice whose roots are linked to the Nazi concentration death camps of world war 2.

Democrats Close Borders to Stop Illegal Light Bulb Trafficking

Once again Democrats, the Pioneers of Progress™, have led the way against the animalistic howls and cries of the Republican opposition and have secured the borders of our country. What was once a prosecutable hate crime for Republicans has become an act of Compassion™ and Caring™ by the forward looking Democrats. Republicans, at least a few of them, wanted to close the borders of America to keep undocumented voters locked up in the south, and deny Canadians access to affordable health care in the north. But now that incandescent light bulbs are as illegal as lemonade stands in all 57-61 states, the borders must be secured to prevent black market light bulbs, or black lights, from entering the country through our large and porous borders.

Wheezing from the floor of the Senate earlier today, a victorious Harry Reid could barely help congratulating himself.

“We have finally made our Republican colleagues see the light,” said the Senate majority leader, obviously delighted by his clever pun, “and now they too see the importance of border security. Millions of these incandescent light bulbs, identified by every responsible news outlet as the greatest environmental threat since George W Bush, are still available in Canada and Mexico. The potential damage to this country by the influx of illegal light bulbs would be incalculable and could cost billions, if not trillions, to undo.”

“I am proud to sign this bill into law,” reverberated President Obama at a signing ceremony. “Border security has been a top priority of this administration, and we will never rest until our borders are secure. I never said that if you like your light bulb you could keep your light bulb, somebody else said that,” grinned the president in a good-natured joke at his expense.

Looking over his shoulder at a small audience of citizens representing Democrats United for Limited Lighting (DULL), a young pregnant woman passed out, but was caught before falling to the floor.

North_Korea_Model_State.jpg Speaking from the UN building in New York, Mr. Kim O, the North Korean delegate to the UN Foundation to Limit Incandescent Kilowatt Refraction (UNFLIKR) overflowed with praise.

“At last, the backward tailless warmongering animals of the United States have followed the brilliant example of Dear Leader by choosing to rid their country of the threat of decentralized lighting. Just look at the progress our country has made,” said Mr. O, “which is clearly visible in any nighttime satellite photograph of our peninsula. We have no need of polluting incandescent light since the radiance of Dear Leader’s face lights up all of Pyongyang. Perhaps Americans can harness the brilliance of Joe Biden’s teeth to achieve a similar effect.”

Doctor Lily Snoot, speaking for MIT’s Durable Alternative Recyclable Chromatic Solutions (DARCS) Laboratory was thrilled with the news of the new legislation.

“Our data has shown that if this menace [the unregulated use of incandescent light bulbs] were allowed for even one year, the heat generated would alter the course of the jet stream, set fire to Mount Kilimanjaro, melt the arctic ice cap, cause the sea levels to rise, and quite possibly wash away all of Al Gore’s beachfront property. In a word, it would undo everything this president has accomplished to save the planet from the ravages of George W Bush. It’s a good thing we nipped this threat in the bud. A decade of incandescent light use by just one city would be enough to destroy the solar system. The science is settled and the debate is over,” said Dr. Snoot gesturing to a chart from atop a scissor lift.

But every change, even one as forward-looking as the elimination of incandescent light bulbs, brings temporary suffering.

Speaking from her California home, Nancy Pelosi wore several rows of newly commissioned ribbons to identify with the newly identified classes of suffering people. “My heart goes out to the millions of hard-working coyotes, drug traffickers, and sex traffickers of juveniles who will be affected by this legislation. But as I’ve always said, I’m trying to save the planet, and that comes first.”

Benghazi: The New York Times, Hillary and Obama’s War against Sean Smith’s Mother

In a shameless glaring act of hypocrisy to rehabilitate Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations, the New York Times published an article doubling down on the Obama Administration’s lie that the attack on our consulate in Benghazi was due to an anti-Islam video

Meanwhile, the New York Times, Hillary and President Obama have displayed a “Pat who” attitude towards Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith who was killed in the Benghazi attack on Hillary’s watch as Secretary of State.

What makes the attitudes of these superior, arrogant and pompous liberals so hard to stomach is that they falsely portray themselves as champions of women.

In reality, the NYT, Hillary and Obama consider American lives acceptable collateral damage in furthering their socialist/progressive agenda. Obama’s vowed fundamental transformation of America.

Thus, the Administration stonewalling by refusing to release facts about what led to the death of Pat Smith’s son in Benghazi is par for the course – mere collateral damage.

Over a year ago, Hillary looked Pat Smith in the eye and lied to her face.  So much for Hillary’s commitment to the sisterhood. Obama promised Pat Smith answers regarding her son’s death. Pat is still waiting for answers about what happened.  But then, what else could you expect from a president recently awarded Liar of the Year?

Yes, liberals like the NYT, Hillary and Obama only give a rat’s derriere about liberal women that they can exploit to further their liberal agenda. Cindy Sheehan was a liberal darling until she could no longer further their cause. Then, Sheehan was thrown away on their pile of broken lives and dreams sacrificed for their agenda.

These people, NYT, Hillary and Obama are always railing about their phony bologna made-up GOP War on Women, all the while displaying a callous cold disregard for Pat Smith who has been simply seeking the truth about the greatest loss of her life. Thus, the NYT, Hillary and Obama are guilty of launching a war on a mom, Pat Smith.

Ms Smith, I am confident I speak for millions of Americans. We are deeply sorry for the loss of Sean, your brave son. Our prayers and support are with you. May God bless you and your family.

Recap of 2013: The Funny, the Sad and the Scary

May this land, to which my parents and many others escaped, retain its freedom, freedom to satirize and express opinions–especially about politicians.  The Dissident Prof makes her debut appearance at The People’s Cube, with an imitation of the inimitable Maureen Dowd, who is about as accurate in her diagnoses of causes for potential apocalypses as is that novelist to the north who predicted that it would be Christians having women walk around in long robe-like body coverings with shielded faces. I speak of course of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, published in 1985.  So much has happened in the nearly 30 years since!  But it has escaped notice of the Times columnist, Maureen Dowd, who blames everything on the patriarchy and GOP.  Take a read here and take a walk down memory lane with me as I revisit some of the brain-torturing French feminist criticism I had to read in graduate school.

2013 began with the Dissident Prof’s due diligence in filing for non-profit status (back in February), only to get what many other groups have gotten from the IRS, the bureaucratic run-a-round worthy of Kafka.  The rather substantial filing fee has been cashed long since…This immigrant wonders about freedom and equal treatment of all.  Why does 1984 repeatedly come to mind?

Which reminds the Dissident Prof: We must not let such classics disappear from our cultural memory and language; that is what the Common Core State Standards threaten to do.  Expect to see more dissident writings on Common Core here and at the Selous Foundation.  Soon to come a review of Terrence O. Moore’s The Story-Killers.  If you’re in Georgia, please plan to go hear him speak alongside Senator William Ligon and Jane Robbins, of the American Principles Project, in Gainesville on January 13 (more information here).

Common Core is about nothing less than thought control.  When you take away a people’s stories, you take away their culture, their identity.  And that is the goal of Common Core, producing workers for the “21st-century global economy” as the salesmen constantly tell us.

2013 was a busy year for travel, for speaking at tea parties in Florida, Valdosta, and North Georgia, and at Lee University in Tennessee (among other places).

Sadly, it was the year of Larry Grathwohl’s untimely passing, someone with whom I had hoped to tour, one of America’s unsung heroes for freedom.  You won’t see his death mentioned in the pages of places like the New York Times.  Please remember his story, one he told and wrote down.  It’s been republished and is available here.  Tell your children and grandchildren, your students and your neighbors.

Dissident Prof’s resolution for 2014 is to continue Larry’s fight and not let the forces of evil “bring down America.”  Thank you for your support this year, and I hope you will help me share victories in 2014 for the cause of “resisting the re-education of America.”

Winners and losers of 2013

Well, it’s that time of year once again for me to pick my biggest winners and losers for 2013.  Unlike most of the year end lists, mine will not be based on polling data, or popularity. Rather, it’s from the lens of a businessman. Based on the contribution of time, money, or intangible capital, did the person or group receive an appropriate rate of return on their investment?

I will begin with the three biggest losers and work down from there.  By far, the biggest loser of the year and of the Obama presidency was and is the Black community.  How can a group give a president 96 percent and 94 percent of their vote to him and have little, if anything to show for it. If the White unemployment rate was the same as the Black unemployment rate, it would be declared a national crisis. No sitting president, regardless of party, would have won reelection with that dynamic at play.

According to the November 2013 unemployment report (the most recent data available), the national unemployment rate was 7.2 percent. For Blacks, it was 12.5 percent; for Latinos 8.7 percent, and Whites 6.2 percent.  According to Heidi Shierholz, an economist for the Economic Policy Institute, “the Black unemployment rate has always been higher, largely due to long term structural trends that include a lower education level and a more limited social circle.”

Blacks have been the most loyal voting bloc for Democrats and for Obama particularly in the history of the U.S. and yet this president says he is not going to do anything specific for Blacks because he is president of all of America. All except Black America.

Yet, this president can’t go a day without trying to shove homosexuality down the throats of Americans and Africans. He doesn’t have the guts to try this in the Middle East because he know how the pro-Israel lobby will react.

This president can hardly go a day without trying to give amnesty to those in the U.S. illegals. He wants to inject millions of new people into the labor market to compete with Blacks for low and unskilled jobs, thus further exacerbating the high unemployment rate in the Black community.

And to think, educated Blacks said all of last year, that if Obama won reelection he would then help Blacks since he didn’t have to face the voters again.  When a person shows you who they are, you better believe them.

The second biggest loser is the “truth.”  According to Obama, “You can keep your own doctor.”  Enough said.

The final biggest loser is the media.  They have bent over backwards to curry favor with Obama and his minions.  They worked hand in hand with Obama to perpetuate the story line that Benghazi was about a video tape.  They reluctantly covered the IRS scandal and many of them hold out Edward Snowden as some kind of hero. Obama has more active journalists in his administration than any of his predecessors, yet he is one of the least transparent presidents.

By far the biggest winner of the year is the homosexual movement, both under Obama and the U.S. Supreme Court. Obama has done more to expand the homosexual movement than any other person on the face of the earth.  He is the same person that Newsweek magazine labeled  the “first gay president.”  It is estimated that homosexuals account for 2-5 percent of the U.S. population, but they have been showered with more tangible benefits under Obama than all other groups combined. And the Supreme Court has also been complicit in furthering that agenda.

The second biggest winner of this year are those in the country illegally. They can’t even vote, but yet they have received more attention and action from Obama than the Black community.  As if this weren’t bad enough, you have the NAACP and the National Urban League supporting illegals and their push for citizenship. This defies logic that they would put a group of non-citizens before the interests of citizens they purport to represent. What is it about Black organizations that they have to be “inclusive” yet other effective groups look after the narrow interests of their supporters.

The third biggest winner is Vladimir Putin.  During his annual state of the nation address two weeks ago, he said, “…We do not infringe on anyone’s interests, we do not force our patronage on anyone, or try to teach anyone how to live…We know there are ever more people in the world who support our position in defense of the traditional values that for centuries have formed the moral foundation of civilization, putting traditional family values top of the list.”

Wow!  Who would have ever dreamed that the U.S. would be lectured by Putin on traditional values and the sanctity of the traditional family?  This was a direct rebuke of Obama’s attempt to force other nations to accept his views on homosexuality.

So I end this year as I began—trying to get people to think a new thought.  Happy New Year!

The 2013 wrap-up: Republicans’ Hunger Games

Our friend, Mary Grabar, Ph.D., wraps up the year for The People’s Cube kollektive with this cultural fantasy.

Consider 2013 the year of the Apocalypse, as movie-goers spend the last of their dollars on a dramatization of a teen novel and its sequel with futuristic gladiatorial contests. The doomsday atmosphere is, no doubt, brought about by the Republican threats to destroy the country. Make no mistake, they can do it just by saying certain words, as we were reminded on the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination, which was caused by the “extremist rhetoric” in Texas.

Going beyond uncivil words, Republicans forced the Democrats to vote for cloture, having Obama sign a bill that had not one Republican vote. In a blatant display of “ideological intransigence,” Republicans were closing hospitals and blocked the expansion of Medicaid funds, as Sally Kohn claimed on CNN.com, in a story that started with “The Obamacare website is open for business.”

According to Paul Krugman, Republicans were Scrooges causing 1.3 million American workers to lose unemployment benefits around Christmas “thanks to a perfect marriage of callousness – a complete lack of empathy for the unfortunate – with bad economics.” Ruth Marcus gave Paul Ryan the Scrooge of the Year Award, and Leon Panetta declared the Republican Congress “the most difficult I’ve seen in 50 years of public service.”

The apocalyptic tone was set by Maureen Dowd, the granddame of visionary writing at theNew York Times. Inspired by the Hunger Games, Ms. Dowd let her imagination run wild into the future, envisioning our nation’s post-sequester capital in 2084. (The model city of Detroit, in contrast, shows us how Democratic policies can succeed in the absence of Republican opposition.)

Upon reading Ms. Dowd’s column, this columnist too let her imagination run: what will our future look like if we let the academics and New York Times columnists run our world and make our decisions for us, I thought. The transformation would truly be fundamental. For an inspiring back story, read Ms. Dowd’s inspiring column, Welcome to Ted Cruz’s Thunderdome.

The Coming Apocalypse: Republicans’ Hunger Games

Washington_DC.jpg

A chimp sits where Abe sat at a place once called the Lincoln Memorial. Under the reign of the Obama-Clinton dynasty in the year of Our Goddess 2084, all species are equal. So sayeth Peter Singer and Cass Sunstein.

Why should we privilege linear thought and language that signifies? The howls of the chimp convey more meaning than the Gettysburg Address to the younger-aged humans here on a civic engagement field trip to the capital of the True Community Democracy. Common Core dictates a common style of reading of all “texts”–the EPA directives that have saved the Planet are as important as a president presiding over a civil war. But if war is something that need not be remembered, do we need to keep open veterans monuments? The Leader in 2084 in his wisdom simply dispatches drones to eliminate those who disrupt the Peace Plan. We have no need for war, no need for veterans. The veterans memorials have been razed for statuaries of Che, Hugo Chavez, the Ayatollah Khomeini, Medea Benjamin, and Oprah. And of special interest to students: Bill Ayers in marble stands atop the old flag, thrusting a dagger into a recumbent Bill Bennett.

When the chimp from Abe’s chair hurls feces at the field trip group, the children turn to their facilitator who explains through her face covering that one type of communication should not be privileged over another. The hemisphere has adopted Helene Cixous’s precepts. Speech is no longer “governed by the phallus,” no longer seeks truth in its old linear, logical, goal-oriented manner. When little Barrachus (for many are the variants of Barack the First) starts to cry when the chimp feces hits him, the facilitator praises him for his authentic communication. “Barrachus, I am so proud of you,” she says, “You are finally coming around to interspecies communication and getting in touch with your feminine side. All hail to the Goddess and her daughters.”
When they return to their learning-community centers, and before the facilitator-aides tuck them into bed with a glass of soymilk and wheat-germ/molasses bran bars (all hail to the First Lady of Health, foremother Michelle Obama, who has wiped out obesity once and for all), they will discuss the significance of this act in their groups.

The facilitator now comes to wipe the chimp shit from the sense-o-meter strapped to Barrachus’s neck. The devices directly transmit to the Gates-Pearson-Hewlitt Center any social or emotional adjustment problems. The younger-aged get feedback on the readings every night in their groups, where they are encouraged to confess non-acceptance and cry with relief. Group hugs are mandatory. Those refusing are known as bullies and are sent to the Southern Poverty Law Center for re-education.

“This is herstory,” their facilitator reminds her young charges as she points to the monuments. The chimp has now shifted his attention and is quietly concentrating on a mid-torso flea.

The facilitator then points to a group of women in burqas who take small steps like pensive nuns. “This is the Truth Team,” she says. Through their cloth screens they affirm to each other, “Be the change, sister.” They have emerged from the Ministry of Truth and Change, where they have been correcting truths, all maintained in the computers of the Minister of Education, Bill Gates.

From the National Mosque comes the call to prayer. All drop to the mulch-paved ground and bow towards Mecca.

When prayers are done a tall one says to a short one, “Blessed be the liberation.” “Yes, all praise to Allah,” says the short one.
They are thankful for the new Freedoms instituted by beloved Leader. They have freedom from anxiety and worry, thanks to the Department of Mental Health and Welfare. They have freedom from argument, debate, and polarizing talk radio. But most importantly for the female-gendered, they are no longer oppressed by the gaze.

They are the cloned daughters of the childless foremothers, when the first Barack had decreed that cloning of the “thought leaders of America” would be covered under universal health care. Hence, Peter Singer and Cass Sunstein still live.

These women see each others’ faces only in their quarters (as do the community security on their cameras). One has the washed-out look of a 1970s Playboy bunny. The other has the pinched look of a bitter columnist, of someone who resents the fact that the approved mode of communication is non-linear. No longer does she enjoy power in a large building in Manhattan (for it now is a model organic city under Bill de Blasio, maintained by Central American peasants who work two hours each day to raise free-range pigs and chickens).

No longer does the columnist sit at a keyboard, delighting in her transgressive wit, chuckling over insults about the powerful politicos with zingers that zap all the pretenses of the male-gendered, word for signifying word. Now above her cubicle, identified by a red heart, is engraved the inspirational line from Cixous’s 1975 “Laugh of the Medusa,” a text once reserved for the super smart in English graduate seminars: “Language conceals an invincible adversary, because it’s the language of men and their grammar.” It has now been made accessible to all by Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, Secretary of Non-Testing, who has ended the “achievement gap.”

For those who are auditory learners, there are recordings that trill out the sayings of the foremothers Cixous, Julia Kristeva, and Betty Friedan in Spanish, Arabic, and English. The former columnist must communicate in the feminine mode now. But shuffling truths into piles indicated by pictograms on the computer screen just does not provide the same kind of satisfaction for her. She cannot even snidely compare the Commanders of the Faithful of the classic, The Handmaid’s Tale, to old white men of the Grand Old Party.

The question of the columnist’s own classic tome Are Men Necessary? has been answered. Roman columns line the paths in dedication to Barack Hussein Obama, the first Mufti, Hillary, the first womyn president, her daughter, the second womyn president, Huma Abadeen, the first Muslim Brotherhood Secretary, Oprah Winfrey, the first Race Relations Secretary.

The columnist casts her eye through the slits, surveying the utopian scene and then to the Museum of the Old Patriarchal Order, where the bad guys, Ronald Reagan, George Washington, Allen West, are preserved in wax. There the younger-aged are shown images of hate-filled ancestors: the tea party, VFW, Eagle Forum, and the Rotary Club—all eliminated. Most of the members were old already, anyway. They expired at their computers, waiting for the health care exchanges to accept their applications.

The facilitator of the young scholars (whose wisdom is within them) wipes a tear from her eye and then laughs hysterically. She suddenly shouts at the top of her lungs: “Hate is gone. No more hate. Universal love!” (This is not unusual in the Age of Authentic Communication when feelings are no longer repressed.)

The facilitator begins dancing like a dervish, laughing and crying tears of joy. For the Founding Mother, Helene Cixous, wrote, “Listen to a woman speak at a public gathering (if she hasn’t painfully lost her wind). She doesn’t speak, she throws her trembling body forward; she lets go of herself, she flies; all of her passes into her voice, and it’s with her body that she vitally supports the ‘logic’ of her speech. Her flesh speaks true. She lays herself bare. In fact, she physically materializes what she’s thinking; she signifies it with her body.”

The flea has been squashed. The chimp jumps off Lincoln’s chair. He joins her in the dance. He screeches and jumps up and down.

The facilitator cries out, “Oh, the universal dance of interspecies peace. Come my fellow primate. Let us commune.”

She holds out her arms in the interspecies signal of peace.

The chimp jumps up and down even higher, baring big yellow teeth, as he gives an ear-splitting chimp cry. Then with a huge hairy hand he rips off the facilitator’s face-covering.
And there is revealed Womyn, someone who at one time may have used the oppressive language of the patriarchy, burdened with facts, and an oppressive unjust “history.” Or she could have dealt with capital and money that robbed other citizens of the globe, for profit, in a very un-maternal way.

At one time Womyn had been burdened with lookism, with doing her hair and make-up before going into the public arena, concerned about what the male-gendered thought of her appearance. She had been burdened with worries about right and wrong, how to schedule her day, and how to walk in high heels. That was so much like Sarah Palin, who was also burdened with the care of her own progeny, before the 24-hour community center-schools (all hail to Arne Duncan).

The former columnist of the old patriarchal communicative form, as she stands with her sisters, peers from behind her own cloth shield and ponders as she watches the primate/primal dance. She ponders in spite of her belief in the New Community Order, when all such burdensome activities as weighing evidence and checking for logic are provided by the Sister State. She ponders in spite of the mental health warnings emerging daily about such risky activity, once done in logic classes.

In the old days she would have pondered freely and for hours about how to express herself, how to figuratively throw monkey feces at the Enemy. But now the Enemy, Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld and their followers, have been killed off. “Figuratively” has no meaning. Nor does “irony.” She thinks hard. Her face becomes even more pinched and sour under her covering. What is there to mock now, now that there are no more College Republicans even with their pathetic and ineffectual affirmative action campus bake sales?

She looks upon the scene, with the little learners, all equally capable, all geniuses, now that facilitators have learned how to draw out their innate intelligence. They stand open-mouthed, horrified.
The ape is becoming more excited as the facilitator dances faster and faster. The columnist notices that in spite of communicating in a manner that goes beyond “phallic mystification,” the chimp does have a phallus.

But the facilitator does not seem to notice. She is dancing the Universal Dance of Peace, her bare face now thrown up towards the overcast, humid sky. She has faith–faith that under the New Order all conflict can be eliminated, even interspecies conflict, through such authentic communication. It is a new era.

The former columnist looks on, now trying to repress her look of fear, squelching an urge to comfort the little scholars now looking stricken as the chimp jumps closer to their facilitator. Rainbow, a smallish female-gendered person, begins to cry.

The former columnist cannot help herself, and emits what is now forbidden in the time of Universal Peace: a bitter smirk. She lets out a cackle, like an old witch.

The chimp turns at the new, strange sound and leaps away from the facilitator towards her.

The former columnist watches the hairy hand come closer to her face. Then she roars as she never did before, for she is Womyn.

Another Grim Year with Obama

The fifth year in the political marriage between Barack Obama and the rest of America has the look of a divorce in which a lot of Americans are wondering how we can rid ourselves of the worst President in the history of the nation. That’s not just my opinion.

As 2013 comes to a close it is abundantly clear that even the starry-eyed journalists and political pundits who thought Obama was as close to the Second Coming as American politics had ever known were having, not just doubts, but serious regrets. The White House press corps is now in a state of rebellion.

As the year began, Victor David Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and respected conservative commentator, took a look back at George W. Bush, the predecessor that Obama blamed for everything so often it became a joke.

“George W. Bush left office in January 2009 with one of the lowest job-approval ratings for a president (34%) since Gallup started compiling them—as compared to Harry Truman’s low of 32%, Richard Nixon’s of 24%, and Jimmy Carter’s of 34%–and to the general derision of the media,” wrote Hanson. Obama is likely to achieve a rating less than these predecessors.

Bush has distinguished himself by never publicly commenting on Obama while he has held office. When his presidential library was opened in April, Bush’s approval rating was 47%, but it is worth noting that Bush was in office when 9/11 occurred, followed by combat action in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Just before Bush left office, a financial crisis struck the nation.

The signs of dissatisfaction with Obama and his policies were evident as 2013 began. A January Gallup poll found that American opinion of the country’s state of affairs was at its lowest point since 1979. Fewer than four-in-ten Americans (39%) rated the U.S. in a positive manner. By February, the national debt during Obama’s presidency had increased $5.9 trillion, more than it had increased under all presidents from George Washington to Bill Clinton combined.

By April the New York Times columnist, Maureen Dowd, was continuing to put distance between Obama and herself. “Unfortunately, he still has not learned how to govern” wrote Dowd, adding “No one on Capitol Hill is scared of him.” Obama had devoted so much time to fundraising and non-stop campaigning, that governing was obviously not a priority, but that is exactly why Presidents are elected.

By May, Politico.com reporters, Mike Allen and Jim Vandehei noted that Republicans in the House had one-third of its committees investigating scandals and wrong-doing by the Obama administration. “Establishment Democrats, never big fans of this President to begin with, are starting to speak out. And reporters are tripping over themselves to condemn lies, bullying and shadiness in the Obama administration.”

By July, a Washington Times editorial, “Obama’s Feats of Weakness” observed that “Since Mr. Obama took office, the opinion of the United States generally has declined in every country surveyed by the Pew Global Attitudes Project…Despite the vaunted White House effort to reach out to Muslim-majority countries, U.S. favorability ratings in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Pakistan are below where they were in 2008 when George W. Bush was at the helm.”

As 2013 comes to a close, longtime former allies such as Saudi Arabia are openly berating Obama for the secret deal negotiated with Iran. Egypt, a former ally, feels betrayed by Obama for his support of the Muslim Brotherhood and, Israel was being visited by Secretary John Kerry to express his opposition to new housing in Jerusalem, but he has put Israel at great risk of annihilation by Iranian nuclear weapon. The Washington Times opined that “There’s a reason Mr. Obama has not been a strong leader internationally. He never set out to be one because he has never believed in the exceptional mission of the United States.”

During the October government shutdown, Fred Barnes, executive editor of the Weekly Standard, noted that Obama “[W]on’t negotiate with Republicans, though the fate of Obamacare, funding of the government, and the future of the economic recovery are at stake.” A veteran observer of the White House, Barnes said, “His approach—dealing with a deadlock by not dealing with it—is unprecedented. He has gone where no president has gone before.”

Earlier, in June, Barnes said “the Obama administration is in an unexpected and sharp state of decline. Mr. Obama has little influence on Congress. His presidency has no theme. He pivots nervously from issue to issue.”

When the Obamacare website debuted on October 1st, it was such a disaster that it was a perfect reflection of a horrendous piece of legislation that is causing widespread dismay and disruption affecting millions of Americans.

When you add in the residue from first term scandals such as Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the use of the IRS to harass conservative groups seeking non-profit tax status, it was obvious to all but mindless Obama devotees that we face three years of further decline at home and internationally.

There is still massive unemployment. There are still massive numbers on government welfare programs and the nation’s health care system and insurance industry is being massively disrupted. The economy is improving incrementally, almost despite the administration’s policies.

To say that 2013 has been a bad year for Obama is also to say it has been a bad year for over three hundred million Americans. As Obamacare kicks in, 2014 will be a year its hidden taxes take effect. In November, voters will have the midterm elections to begin ending the a record of failed domestic and foreign affairs.

FL Governor Rick Scott stands against the Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional. It violates the 1st, 4th, 10th and 14th Amendments. It infringes on the religious liberties of Americans and private business who do not wish to provide abortion services or contraception in their healthcare plans. These rights are protected under the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution. The Affordable Care Act forces you to buy product or services in direct violation of the Commerce Clause and in direct violation of your constitutional rights. You cannot be forced to buy anything in this free republic.

Stop living in fear of this administration and many are refusing to comply with the Affordable Care Act.

The weak do nothing Congress refuses to prosecute President Obama for crimes against the Constitution. Here in Florida though Governor Rick Scott stood up to the federal intrusion on our rights.

Florida Governor Rick Scott, does not support the federal health reform law, including the health insurance exchanges. Florida legislators also refused to approve legislation to create an exchange in Florida, they returned a $1 million federal planning grant awarded in 2010.

After the Supreme Court ruling that upheld most of the unconstitutional Act in June 2012, Governor Scott announced that Florida would not establish a state-based health insurance exchange. This was to ensure we followed the constitution and not the mandates coming from the Department of Health and Human Services machine in Washington DC.

Governor Scott continues to fight against the Affordable Care Act and any operation of the illegal federally controlled health insurance marketplace. In September, the Florida Department of Health (DOH) banned navigators from all county public health facilities. Florida DOH officials have said the move is consistent with its policy of blocking outside groups that are not doing state business. The Florida DOH is following the 10th Amendment.

The Florida DOH have also said the ban helps protects consumers from privacy concerns stemming from the collection of personal information for inclusion in a federal database. This database violates the HIPAA Act and your 4th Amendment rights. The Obama administration strongly criticized the ban on navigators, labeling the order “obstructionist” and “plain absurdity.” Of course President Obama did, he is not getting his way in Florida. He’s trying to get a hold of all your personal medical information and centralize it in Washington DC.

ObamaCare_I-WILL-NOT-COMPLY_300x244-01The taxpayer funded federal exchanges may end up competing with Florida Health Choices, which is the state’s own version of an online marketplace. Florida Health Choices was established by 2008 legislation. However, it is still not operational. According to its website, Florida Health Choices will launch early in 2014. We must shut down and defund Florida Health Choices and allow free market insurance companies to manage the health care in Florida. Its not the taxpayers responsibility.

Florida’s own insurance exchange does not comply with the Affordable Care Act. This is fine, we don’t have to comply with any unconstitutional laws coming out of Washington, rather we must ignore them. As originally conceived, Florida Health Choices was only to be available only to small businesses, not individuals. Plans have now evolved to include options for individuals. Florida Health Choice will not subsidize the cost of plans sold through the exchange for low-income individuals or offer tax credits to businesses. Nor does Florida Health Choices require a minimum set of benefits as the ACA exchanges do in the form of essential health benefits.

This is called freedom boys and girls and we are free people in Florida. DO NOT COMPLY with any unconstitutional law especially Obama Care. Do not comply with the IRS when they demand proof of health insurance. This is a violation of your 4th Amendment Rights. This is a violation of your privacy rights. REFUSE their requests for information under the 10th Amendment, the 4th Amendment, the 1st Amendment, the 5th Amendment.

On the federally operated exchange set up illegally in Florida by the Obama administration and Kathleen Sibelius , 10 insurers are selling ACA-compliant health insurance policies. Since when did the federal government determine if any kind of insurance was federally compliant for you ? It your choice to pick your insurance coverage not the government. We don’t live in a Communist controlled country. It boils down to one thing, its all about control over on you?

This Obama Care is illegal and infringes on your rights as Americans. The insurers in Florida that are supposedly approved by those in the White House probably were working within free markets anyway. They are Aetna, Cigna, Coventry Health Care of Florida, Florida Blue (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida), Florida Health Care Plan Health Options, Humana, Molina Healthcare, Simply Healthcare Plan, and Sunshine State Health.

My friends you can either surrender to the forces in Washington DC or you can stand up and refuse to comply and be ready for the battle that lies ahead. You must ensure that you remain a free American in a free country with the freedom to choose whether you wish to purchase any product or service or not without fear of prosecution.

I will not comply with the IRS and I will not permit them to harass, intimidate, threaten, or fine me for non compliance. I am a free man and the current White House leadership is an enemy of this country and our values. We have a right to stand up and defend ourselves from it. And that we must do.

I want legislation drawn up that prohibits doctors, hospitals and medical facilities etc. in the State of Florida from accepting any form of Obama care coverage because it is a constitutional violation infringing on our 1st, 4th and 10th Amendment Rights.

I want all doctors and hospitals and private medical facilities in Florida to refuse to accept Obama care insurance. If you get threatened stare them in the face and tell the government to pack sand. You must take a stand.

Congrats to Phil Robertson, his Family and America!

Congratulations America, we did it! Thanks to your passionate push back, A&E networks rescinded its suspension of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson. One thing to take away from the Duck Dynasty controversy is that no one knows enough or can predict the future well enough to be a pessimist.

Conservative intellectuals (smart people) read negative political tea leaves which lead them to conclude that all is lost; Obama and his army of liberal socialist/progressives have all the power. They do everything right to further their agenda while we bumbling conservatives do everything wrong.

I simply can not subscribe to negative predictions of the future. No one knows what tomorrow may bring. Secondly, 60 something years of living has taught me to trust God.

For example, who could have predicted that a scruffy bearded duck hunter would inspire mega-millions of Americans to push back and win a major battle in the war against the tyranny of political correctness? Phil’s victory over political correctness zealots reminds me of the scripture that says, “God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.” (1Cor. 1:27) Unquestionably, the arrogant elitist aggressors on the left were blown away by America rallying around Phil.

Another unforeseen gift hidden in the left’s feverish overplayed attack on Phil is that it has opened the eyes of millions of Americans to the truth that the left truly have launched a war on religious faith and traditional family values.

Thanks to Phil holding firm to his beliefs, Americans are organizing to push back against the left’s assaults on not just religious freedom, but liberty in general. Once passive Americans are joining the fight; signing petitions and more.

In the midst of the left (NAACP, GLAD and NOW) rising up with pitch-forks demanding the head of Phil Robertson for quoting the Bible, I noticed that Kathy Griffin, queen of poking her finger in the eye of Christians will again co-host CNN’s New Years Eve coverage. Ms Griffin told Jesus to “S*** it” in her Emmy award acceptance speech.

Unlike the left’s hysterical demands that Phil Robertson be fired, I am not suggesting that CNN not employ the services of Ms Griffin. I am merely shining the light of truth, exposing the left’s blatant selective outrage and hypocrisy.

Ask yourself folks, would Ms Griffin be ringing in the new year on CNN had her disrespectful comments been directed at Mohammed? I shutter just thinking of the consequences.

So why has the left deemed it OK to dis my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? I ask, WDJD (what did Jesus do) to inspire such hate and disrespect from the left?

Not to stray too far off topic, I just want to express my gratitude and excitement over the much needed shot in the arm that Phil’s victory has given the Tea Party movement.

And one last thing. Well meaning folks on our side have been criticizing Phil; his interpretation of scripture and so on. While such observations may or may not be true, there are a plethora of vicious left-wing pundits ripping Phil to threads with exaggerations, distortions and lies.

Displaying manhood and backbone that has become rare in America, Phil courageously took a stand against political correctness for us; our principles and values. Therefore, I will not dare criticize him. I choose to view my Phil Robertson glass half full.

Thanks again brother Phil. You are appreciated and respected more than you will ever know.

Common Core is putting “teaching to the test” on steroids

As the details of Common Core become known, more parents and teachers are opposing it. Bob Kellogg from One New Now reports, ”

More and more parents are concerned about Common Core standards. Many want to opt their youngsters out of the standardized testing. Jane Robbins, a senior fellow with the American Principles Project, believes school officials are being caught off guard.

Robbins, Jane (APP)“I think it’s caught them by surprise and they’re not quite sure what to do with it,” she observes, “but it’s a real indication of the depth of concern about this whole scheme.”

She says the best strategy for parents concerned about centralized, federal education standards “is to make legislators in the states and governors and other officials more afraid of the people than they are of the power brokers – the ones who have a lot of money invested in this and the ones who have decided that [they] are the experts and [are] going to do this.” Read more.

Even teachers unions are beginning to realize the potential downside of Common Core standardized testing on their members.

Kellogg reports, “Earlier this year, American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten called for a delay in the implementation of the national standards, fearing teachers will be penalized if students fare poorly under the new guidelines. If those standards are wrongly implemented, she said, “they will end up in the overflowing dustbin of abandoned reforms, with people throwing up their hands,” believing that public schools are too broken to save.

Brittany Corona, a research assistant with The Heritage Foundation, says Weingarten is absolutely correct.

“We’re going to see a lot of issues – not only for the teachers though,” Corona tells OneNewsNow. “We’re going to see it for the parents, we’re going to see it for the school districts. And not just the Common Core; it’s the whole principle of national standards. That’s the problem with implementation.”

She says even though the left-leaning Weingarten is calling for a moratorium on implementation, that doesn’t mean she’s opposed to national standards.
