It’s no secret that some of America’s college professors are totally out of line.

Everyday I hear stories about professors who attack and target conservatives, promote liberal propaganda, and use their position of power to advance liberal agendas in their classroom.

Turning Point USA is saying enough is enough.  It’s time we expose these professors.

Meet some of the professor’s profiled….

Dr. Charles Angeletti

Dr. Charles Angeletti is a tenured professor at Metropolitan State University Denver. He required students to recite a pledge that describes a racist, sexist, homophobic America: “I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American and to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you if you don’t watch your step.”

Dr. Mireille Miller-Young

Dr. Mireille Miller-Young is an Associate Professor of Feminist Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Miller was sentenced to three years’ probation after violently attacking a 16-year-old pro-life activist on campus. She was convicted of assault, theft, and destruction of property, but the University of Santa Barbara never fired her.

Dr. Brittney Cooper

Dr. Brittney Cooper is an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University. Cooper stated that white racism is to blame for Brexit. She tweeted “White nationalism gone be the death of all of us. #Brexit” and went on to say. “The only thing I know that makes white folks vote against their own economic interest is racism. #Brexit.” In another interview to Salon she stated that white people need to start recognizing that they are “the face of the oppressor.” Cooper has also stated that Christian conservatives worship a “white supremacist Jesus.”

Dr. Julio C. Pino

Dr. Julio C. Pino is a tenured professor at Kent State University in Ohio. Dr. Pino is currently under investigation for having ties to the well known terrorist group ISIS, and allegedly recruiting students to join the Islamic State. The professor once shouted “”Death to Israel!”” at a public lecture by a former Israeli diplomat, and has been a featured columnist for several anti-Semitic and pro terrorism publications.

University of Hawaii: Report Trump Voters to Campus Police

To our UH System Ohana:   Nov 15, 2016  (Clarification added in parenthesis.)

Many within our statewide UH community are concerned and disturbed after last week’s national election and uncertain over the directions our nation may take. It is at times like these that we need to remember and recommit to our core values.

We will not permit intolerance or harassment based on race, religion, immigration status, national origin, gender, LGBTQ+ status or disability. We take pride in being our nation’s most diverse university. We stand for aloha.

(And by inference Trump voters do not.  Michael Moore and Jill Stein disagree—but why blow a chance to turn the University into an even more mindless indoctrination center?)

If you encounter intimidation or harassment (Trump voters) around you, please report it to your campus authorities. If you feel threatened or experience difficulty coping, request help from your campus support staff or other qualified professionals. I’ll be working across the system to identify and communicate how we can better support those who may need assistance on our campuses.

This election revealed stark divisions among peoples’ views of problems and solutions.  Now is a time for us to listen to one another. We achieve mutual understanding through the thoughtful and respectful exchange of viewpoints. We stand for free speech and free expression.

Many have expressed frustrations over the uneven impact of the economic recovery. But fewer seem to recognize that higher education is the single most important solution to equipping those who have been left behind. We stand for accessibility and excellence in higher education.

Why I Was Arrested & Thrown In Jail By @GeorgeMasonU Police For My Anti-Terror Campaign

As you may have heard, on November 4th I was arrested, handcuffed, and taken to jail for posting anti-terror stickers on the George Mason University campus. I was charged with a “class 6 felony for destruction of property,” threatened with five years in prison, and released 14 hours later on $8,000 bail posted by my wife. The court date is now set for February 14th, 2017.

You can read the full description of how it happened in a number of news stories below. Now I’d like to explain why I did it.

George Mason University (GMU) ranks number three in the top 10 most anti-Semitic campuses, with very active, rabidly anti-Israel student groups, who thrive in the school’s politically correct climate. The administrators’ endorsement of pro-terror activism may be explained not only by their “progressive” ideology, but also by large donations from Islamist groups tied to terror finance — two factors that have been increasingly converting American universities into Marxist madrassas. On the weekend of November 4th, GMU was hosting a two-day national conference held by the Hamas-affiliated hate group, Students for Justice for Palestine (SJP). In this regard, prominent author David Horowitz had addressed the GMU president with an open letter, recommending to conduct an immediate inquiry into the group’s activities and remove their campus privileges and funding, in order to stop harassment and intimidation of Jewish students at George Mason. That letter remained unanswered.

While I’m not Jewish myself, it is self-evident that Jews have been the “canaries in a coal mine,” always targeted first before the rest of us are killed and maimed by totalitarian forces, be it Nazism in the 20th century or Islamofascism in the 21st. Israel is as much a part of Western civilization as Europe and America are. When Jews are targeted, the rest of us eventually fall into the crosshairs as well, as has been proven by multiple terrorist attacks in Europe and America in recent years. Stopping Islamic terrorism, therefore, is not just a matter of someone’s decency or solidarity with the Jews. We’re past the point when that was anyone’s moral choice; it’s now a matter of everyone’s self-preservation.

It’s as simple as that.

As school administrations across America remain comfortably numb to this fact for whatever financial or ideological reasons, all efforts to engage them in a civil discourse have proven futile. George Mason University, in particular, has distinguished itself with examples of enforced unanimity, suppression of free speech, and outright ideological intolerance among its students and faculty.

Therefore, David Horowitz and I teamed up in a campaign that would make GMU leaders uncomfortable enough to pay attention, look outside their ivory towers, and take in the reality. And it worked.

I designed posters that expose the genocidal nature of anti-Israel activism and the deadly consequences of supporting pro-terror groups. On the eve of the SJP gathering at George Mason, I posted stickers with these designs in various conspicuous spots on campus. They were noticed. The GMU authorities became annoyed enough to mobilize their police force to look for the perpetrators.

To admit that they objected to our message would obviously make them look bad. Instead, they charged us with “destruction of property,” claiming that we used “superglue” or “industrial glue” that was impossible to remove. That claim is false. I used standard commercially available stickers similar to mailing labels. Most of them can be removed just by carefully pulling on the edges; the remainder, if any, easily comes off without a trace with the help of Goo Gone or similar household cleaner available in any dollar store.

Did I temporarily deface GMU signs to annoy the authorities in order to deliver a message they otherwise refuse to hear? Yes. Did I permanently destroy any property? Ridiculous. It’s as if we were to write our message on top of the GMU president’s desk after being frustrated that he tossed out all our letters without reading them. That would surely annoy the GMU president, but at least he would read the message before erasing it. Now suppose that we wrote it in chalk, but the GMU president, Dr. Ángel Cabrera, claimed that we used a permanent marker causing irreparable damage, and he had to buy a new desk for $2,500. That would be a lie.

The alleged “destruction of property” is just as much a lie – but that is what has caused me the handcuffs, jail time, felony charges, and the threat of five years in prison: a lie.

What I did was non-violent and non-destructive mischief, exclusively to irritate the powers-that-be and, hopefully to provoke them and others to start talking about our message and thus acknowledging the existence of opposing viewpoints.

After I was brought to jail and put before the magistrate, he asked me how I would feel if someone were to come to my house and post stickers everywhere. I chose not to argue since the magistrate wasn’t the problem. But it was clear in my head that if I were unwittingly giving aid and comfort to terrorist supporters and someone would point it out to me in such a memorable way, then yes, I would probably be annoyed at first, but in the long run, as an honest person, I would most likely be grateful for opening my eyes to my bad judgment.

That said, I extend my apologies to the janitorial staff, hoping they had read my stickers before removing them – but not to the GMU administration unless they admit their bad judgment on issues a lot more horrifying than stickers on their campus.

Some of my friends have since pointed out to me that I did, after all, break the law. Yes, I tell them. And so did Rosa Parks when she broke the law in order to draw attention to the injustice. Her example, followed by many, proved that civil disobedience can be effective in changing unjust laws and customs. I can argue that in our case, we were handcuffed and spent a day in jail not as much for the fact of posting the stickers, but for breaking a much more important, unwritten campus law – we confronted ideological uniformity, also known as political correctness, which in today’s American universities is as oppressive as racism was in Alabama in 1955.

I went to that campus to challenge that uniformity, not to get arrested. But if being thrown in jail will help break the cowardly silence on campus, I will consider it a small price to pay for starting an honest conversation about the festering ideological intolerance, lack of free speech, and totalitarian impulses at GMU and other American universities.

Hillary vs. The Education of American Children

Two recurrent claims made by Hillary Clinton are that she will stand with American families against powerful interests and corporations and that she will increase spending on educating children to help them succeed.

These populist promises may resonate with many Americans.  However, as my mom used to say, “Actions speak louder than words.”

Hillary Clinton’s grandiose plans to provide unknown numbers of illegal aliens with lawful status would make her other promises impossible to keep.

During the last debate she stated that she would do whatever she needs to do so that workers will have good jobs with rising incomes.

However, for Hillary and the administration, American workers literally don’t count.

Today tens of millions of working-age Americans have left the labor force and are not counted by the Labor Department when it provides unemployment statistics.  In point of fact, each month the United States admits more foreign workers than the number of new jobs that are created.

Legalizing millions of new foreign workers would serve to flood the labor pool with many more authorized workers, providing unfair competition for beleaguered American workers, especially within the low income sector.  Under the principle of “Supply & Demand” flooding a market with a commodity drives down the value of that commodity.  Labor is not unlike any other commodity such as petroleum, steel or aluminum.

It is a bit ironic that during the third and final debate Hillary Clinton attacked Trump, alleging that he had used steel and aluminum that had been “dumped” in the United States by China.  Dumping is an economic crime when it involves dumping a large quantity of a commodity into the marketplace in order to artificially reduce the value of that commodity.  This is precisely what the open-border policies that Clinton promises to not only continue, but expand, where the commodity of foreign labor is concerned.

I have written numerous articles about how Clinton’s proposed massive amnesty program would undermine national security and the U.S. economy.

Two such articles were, “Hillary Clinton’s Immigration Goals Would Irrevocably Undermine National Security” and “Hillary Clinton’s Immigration Goals Make Her Economic Promises Impossible to Achieve.”

What has not been considered or discussed by the media or politicians is the impact that Clinton’s immigration policies would have on the ability of schools to teach children in America — the same children Hillary Clinton claims to be so concerned about.

If millions or, more likely, tens of millions of illegal aliens were suddenly granted lawful status, they would immediately have the absolute and unequivocal right to apply to have all of their minor children be lawfully admitted into the United States.  They would then be enrolled in school districts in virtually every state.

Under the hobbled U.S. economy, many cities and states are currently suffering from severe short-falls of revenue and struggling to provide education for the children within those cities and states.

Families in Third World countries often have many children.  Although a significant number of illegal aliens who would benefit from Clinton’s legalization program might not have minor children, it is likely that the number of kids who would ultimately be admitted into the United States because of her legalization program would exceed the number of heretofore aliens who would be placed on the pathway to United States citizenship.

Additionally, these legalized aliens would likely go on to have more children in the United States, further increasing the school population and burdens placed on struggling schools around the United States.

This would be extremely costly and would result in over-crowded classrooms with many children, who are not fluent in the English language, requiring additional costly educational services.

In December 2007 the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) published an important paper, “The Impact of Unauthorized Immigrants on the Budgets of State and Local Governments.”

The paper, that was published nearly ten years ago, estimated that there were 12 million illegal aliens present in the United States.

Today the news media and various government agencies claim that there are 11 million illegal aliens present in the United States even though, under the Obama administration, we have witnessed a succession of surges of illegal aliens flooding across the U.S./Mexican border and various government reports note that it is believed that each year approximately 500,000 non-immigrant aliens who are admitted into the United States through ports of entry ultimately overstay their authorized period of admission or otherwise violate their terms of admission.

Prior to the enactment of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) which, for the first time established a law that penalized employers who could be shown to have knowingly hired illegal aliens, also provided a “one time” amnesty program for the officially estimated population of roughly one million illegal aliens who were present in the United States.

Ultimately that amnesty program provided more than 3.5 million illegal aliens with lawful status.

Although the reason behind the extreme disparity between the originally estimated number of aliens who would “emerge from the shadows” was never determined, it is likely the consequence of a combination of two factors, underestimating the actual number of illegal aliens who were present in the United States and many aliens entering the United States long after the cutoff date and successfully defrauding the program by falsely claiming to have entered the United States prior to the established cutoff date.

A succession of GAO reports have found that immigration fraud is rampant within the immigration benefits program.  What is particularly disturbing about this fact is the finding of the 9/11 Commission that visa fraud and immigration benefit fraud were key to the ability of terrorists to enter the United States and embed themselves in the United States as they went about their preparation to launch deadly attacks.

While the report noted that it was difficult to quantify all of the costs attributable to the illegal alien population it did note that, “The tax revenues that unauthorized immigrants generate for state and local governments do not offset the total cost of services provided to those immigrants.”

The CBO paper addressed the issue of the cost of education to cities and states.  Consider this excerpt that began on page 7:

Education

Education is the largest single expenditure in state and local budgets. Because state and local governments bear the primary fiscal and administrative responsibility of providing schooling from kindergarten through grade 12, they incur substantial costs to educate children who are unauthorized immigrants.  In 1982, the Supreme Court ruled that states may not exclude children from public education because of their immigration status.  Current estimates indicate that about 2 million school-age children (5 to 17 years old) in the United States are unauthorized immigrants; an additional 3 million children are U.S. citizens born to unauthorized immigrants.

According to the most recent population data released by the Census Bureau, as of July 2006, there were 53.3 million school-age children in the United States. Thus, children who are unauthorized immigrants represent almost 4 percent of the overall school-age population. Their numbers are growing quickly in some states, adding additional budgetary pressures.

The paper went on to report:

In terms of public education, unauthorized immigrants who are minors increase the overall number of students attending public schools, and they may also require more educational services than do native-born children because of a lack of proficiency in English. Analyses from several states indicate that the costs of educating students who did not speak English fluently were 20 percent to 40 percent higher than the costs incurred for native-born students.

Finally, school districts across the United States have found that the flood of unaccompanied minors from Central America has included within their ranks members of violent gangs such as MS-13.

My article, “President Obama: Accessory to the Crimes Committed By Illegal Aliens? The grim findings unveiled by a House congressional hearing” was predicated on a hearing conducted by the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security on April 19, 2016 on the topic, “The Real Victims of a Reckless and Lawless Immigration Policy: Families and Survivors Speak Out on the Real Cost of This Administration’s Policies.”

The prepared testimony of Sheriff Charles A. Jenkins of Frederick County, Maryland included this excerpt:

The criminal alien gang numbers are growing, and the serious crimes being committed are increasing. There is also a nexus between the deferred action on unaccompanied minors and the increases we are seeing in gang crimes. Statistics (2014-2015 stats were provided) and hard facts demonstrate the impact on public safety and the seriousness of the crimes committed by criminal alien gang members:

* There are over 75 active known validated transnational criminal gang members in Frederick County, many more suspected of gang affiliation. We also believe that MS-13 and 18th Street alien gangs are recruiting, locally, in our schools, in the region, and out of country.

The Sheriff went on to detail murders, rapes and assaults committed by these students who should not be present in the United States.  It must be noted that often the victims of the violence are members of the ethnic immigrant communities.

Our immigration laws were enacted to save American lives and American jobs.  Clinton’s promise to make a mockery of those laws are anti-American.

Tell Me Who You Are and I Will Tell You What Is At Stake For You

ARE YOU A MAN?

If you are a man, your entire being, the appreciation of it, and the idea of your importance are at stake. Hillary takes any opportunity she can to eviscerate and emasculate men. I mean, we shouldn’t blame her, look who she married. Nonetheless, under a Hillary administration, affirmative action will be set up to target men. She will, without a doubt, come after you with a vengeance. Do not be surprised if men began to abandon their country in response to the persecution that she will unleash upon you for nothing else other than your gender. A globalist president would seek out to emasculate the country as a way to bring us down a notch, or two, or three in order to put us on an even playing field rather than the rest of the world, so why not begin with the men at home?

With Hillary, we will live in a nation that will have gone from “no means no” to even “yes means no” and every man guilty of having consensual sex with a woman will also potentially be guilty of rape as well for no other reason than that he is a man and men are rapists in Hillary’s America. Think I am being dramatic? Don’t risk it. This election has come down to self-defense and preservation of your rights and treatment as a man; do not let go of that just because society has been programmed to make you feel bad about it. Fight for yourselves. Take this country back. As a man, to cast a vote for her would be to vote to wage a war against yourself.

ARE YOU A WOMAN?

If you are a woman, you are a pawn to Hillary in her game of lies and deceit. She is using you. She is using you because you’re the easier target against her opponent. Although she wants you to think that you need her, she would be nothing without her ability to manipulate your support. She knows that Obama was the race president and she wants, very desperately, to be the gender president. Compare race relations and what is happening to the African-American population under Barack “The Race President Obama. Look at the beginning of Obama’s time in office to now, do you want to see the same thing happen to you as a woman just because Hillary wants to use you as a platform?

She wants to go down in history and a feminist trailblazer at any cost; even if that means women have to pay the price without even realizing it. She wants you to think that abortion is liberation, that the “wage gap” is strictly due to sexism, and that you’re a walking victim no matter where you go or what you do—which immediately puts you at a disadvantage at all times. How can you say you are empowering someone if you are always making that person the victim? Think about it.

ARE YOU AFRICAN-AMERICAN?

If you are an African-American, let me ask you, what do you have to lose? I mean that in the most respectful way possible but really, what has the current administration done or has Hillary promised to help heal the race relations in this country? Hillary Clinton has expressed her profound admiration for Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Sanger was a leader in the eugenics movement in which she promoted the reduction of sexual reproduction and the sterilization of those individuals that she believed had “undesirable traits”. She fervently, yet discreetly, worked to place most of her clinics in primarily African-American neighborhoods. She undoubtedly believed in white supremacy and once wrote, “It is said that the aboriginal Australian, the lowest known species of the human family, just a step higher than the chimpanzee in brain development, has so little sexual control that police authority alone prevents him from obtaining sexual satisfaction on the streets.” It is important to know the origins of the people and the things we are supporting before we do so. Planned Parenthood was born out of the idea of white supremacy; do you want to support the candidate who admires the woman responsible for that?

I know that the media has instilled the idea that a white male president couldn’t possibly unify the country, but look what one of color has done in just eight years. People are worried that Donald Trump is going to take us back to a 1960’s America but, racially, we are already there, or at least on our way there, aren’t we? Agitating this race war is getting African-American people killed in the streets on what seems to be a daily basis.

Donald Trump has not only promised to work to heal the unruly situation between cops and the African-American community, but all crime against blacks—including black on black crime, which is the number one killer of black people in the united states. If black lives matter then they have to matter all across the board, not just the black lives taken by different races, but the black lives taken. Period. We can all agree that race relations in this country need to be healed, but protests and violence are not the ways to do it.

You are being crippled by the welfare state, making it possible for fathers to be taken out of your homes, for providers to be essentially useless and replaced by the government so that you’re forced to depend upon them rather than yourselves—the opposite of empowerment. FDR once said, about welfare, “The lessons of history, confirmed by evidence immediately before me, show conclusively that continued dependence on relief induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber.  To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit.  It is inimical to the dictates of sound policy.  It is a violation of the traditions of America.” Donald Trump wants to take you off the narcotic that is welfare and has said repeatedly that he will work tirelessly to bring jobs to the inner cities as well as give you and your children the option to go to the best schools in the area you live.

Vote to heal this country, vote for unity.

ARE YOU A LEGAL IMMIGRANT?

I may be preaching to the choir here because you know what it means to abide by the laws and to work for what you get, but voting for Hillary means voting for open borders. Voting to open the borders and flooding the country with immigrants just invalidates the work and dedication that it took you to become a proud citizen of this country. It also makes it extremely difficult for you and your fellow immigrants to assimilate into the America you have a right live in.

ARE YOU A HOMOSEXUAL, BISEXUAL, OR TRANSGENDER?

Let’s face it; the LGBT community has been told, for much too long, that they had to vote democrat for in order to vote for equality. Things are different for you in this election. You are now in a post-Marriage Equality era, which means you no longer need to feel pressed to vote for all of the other damaging policies that fall under the umbrella of the liberal “equality” train. There are so many more important issues facing you today and there is a lot at stake for you in what may come next. You fought so hard for you rights but you can’t have rights if you don’t have a life. Hillary wants to bring in 550% more unvetted Muslim refugees into this country. Many of who are practicing a 9th century form of Islam that believes homosexuality is a sin. However, this is different than the Christian belief that homosexuality is a sin. What you have to remember with the Islamic faith is that it is not only a set of beliefs and teaching, it is a legal system as well. What does that mean? It means that, under their legal system of Sharia Law, it goes from a sin to a crime.

Now, let me preface what I am about to say by saying, I do not think all Muslims engage in the type of Islamic practice I am about to describe. There is such a thing as a moderate Muslim, one who follows a civilized form of their faith. However, there are many Muslims who don’t follow a civilized form, but a radical one. This is why Donald Trump has called for extreme vetting of refugees in order to keep us safe as well as protect law abiding Muslims in this country. With that being said, as a homosexual, bisexual, or transgender you need to understand that those who believe in the most extreme teachings of their Islamic faith believe that you should be thrown from rooftops, stoned, or even have “a wall toppled upon you as an evil-doer” according to the teachings of Abu Bakr.

Remember, just because the LGBT community has primarily voted democrat doesn’t mean that you can’t be the change in this election. Do not be shackled by the past. Embrace the candidate whose first priority is national security in order to preserve your safety to preserve your rights—your future depends on it.

ARE YOU A POLICE OFFICER?

Just for fun, I decided to Google “Cops for Clinton” and “Cops for Trump” and not surprisingly, I found nothing for the former and plenty for the latter. Maybe I am, again, preaching to the choir but humor me for a moment. Voting for Hillary will continue the disarmament of you and your fellow brothers and sisters in blue. If you value your lives and your jobs, do not give the most powerful position this country has to offer to a woman who has repeatedly vilified you for nothing more than doing your job. Recently, in Chicago, a female officer responded to a call for a car crash when she was savagely and ferociously beaten by a man under the influence of drugs, yet refused to use her weapon for fear of public backlash. This is a direct result of the war that the Obama administration has waged against police officers in America—the same war Hillary Clinton has begun to fight and will continue to fight if she wins on November 8th. Vote to protect yourself and your brothers and sisters.

ARE YOU IN THE MILITARY?

If you are in the military, most likely you, more than anyone else, do not wish to go into World War III. You probably understand, better than anyone else, that over the last eight years, our military has been depleted and weakened. Putting the Benghazi situation aside, it is as simple as voting for war or voting for peace.

Hillary Clinton’s gross inaction as Secretary of State should be enough to disqualify her for the presidency altogether but since there can be no way you haven’t already thought of that, think of this: Do you want war? Or do you want peace? It’s as simple as that. Donald Trump, on Monday, said he would meet with Vladimir Putin as soon as November if he were to be elected. This shows leadership that would be unfathomable to the Clinton campaign. She relentlessly insults Putin and is salivating at the thought of sending you and your comrades off to war. We are not ready for a nuclear war with Russia, nor do we want that. You get to decide who will command you and who will fight for you rather than who will only ask you to fight for her. What will you choose?

ARE YOU A STUDENT?

Are you a college student working hard to educate yourself and acquire an education that will better your future? What if I told you that soon, there would be students who don’t have to work for what you are working to give yourself? What if I told you that the free tuition that Hillary Clinton is promising would nullify the degree you’re working towards? How would that make you feel?

Everything you have worked for or are working toward will be much nearly useless if it’s handed out like candy under another Clinton administration. Vote to preserve the work you’ve put in and the pride that comes with knowing that you created that opportunity for yourself out of hard work and dedication.

ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?

Christian values are traditional values. Although Donald Trump has had a rocky past as far as marriage goes, the man he is now represents traditional values. He will fight for religious liberty rather than persecution of the values we’ve held tight to since the birth of the nation. Hillary Clinton has proven herself to be a lying, murderous thief who has no respect for the sanctity of life. She ridicules Trump for denying that global warming is a problem, citing that he must not understand science. How could a woman who denies that there is life inside the womb, according to science, claim superiority in the subject?

If you vote for nothing else but this one issue, you still have at least done your job as a Christian to fight for the unborn and the right, that every human shares, to life.

ARE YOU A LAW ABIDING CITIZEN?

If you are a law aiding citizen, you not only value the law but you respect it as well. If you elect the criminal that is Hillary Clinton, you are sending a message. You are sending a message that not only are you okay with her previous crimes but that no matter what she does as president, you condone. If she commits criminal acts as the commander-in-cheif, you will have no ground to stand on in opposing her. You’ll have known who she is and, even worse, you’ll have put the power in her hands to commit these crimes. She has been a criminal her entire life. Lying, cheating, stealing, and murder have been instrumental in getting her where she is today. Just this week, we found out that officials under her in the State Department attempted to bribe FBI agents to unlawfully change documents AFTER they had been subpoenaed and accumulated as evidence in a criminal investigation.

In the legal system, legal precedent is a legal case or incident that establishes a rule. That rule is later taken in other cases to determine the case at hand with similar issues or actions. If we let Hillary Clinton’s past crimes go unpunished, it will set the precedence of the Clinton administration if she is elected.

Hillary Clinton, herself, has been repeating the words, “America is great, because America is good.” Well folks, Hillary Clinton is not good. She doesn’t do good, she doesn’t represent goodness, nor have her actions shown any interest in the common good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.

Vote for goodness. Vote for greatness. Vote for America.

Florida: Muslim threatens massacres at schools, beaches, military bases

“He claimed 10 people would carry out the attacks after a ‘couple of us’ had ‘declared to join ISIS’. The writer stated that 5-10 attacks could not be stopped (stating law enforcement ‘cannot be everywhere at once’), and that the attackers planned on ‘not giving up’ and ‘dying.’”

Why he mailed this to the sheriff is unclear: suicide by jihad threat? Something like that could be a possibility. But the idea of law enforcement being overwhelmed by so many jihad attacks and plots that it collapses — that’s precisely the Islamic State’s strategy, as I explain in my book The Complete Infidel’s Guide to ISIS.

An Escambia County man is facing federal charges after allegedly sending a handwritten note to Sheriff David Morgan threatening to attack schools, beaches and more simultaneously.

Regis L. Walker, 30, was charged with mailing threatening communications. The criminal complaint was announced by Christopher P. Canova, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

According to the criminal complaint affidavit, Walker mailed a threatening letter on notebook paper to Sheriff Morgan at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. He allegedly claimed that several people who had joined ISIS would simultaneously attack military bases, beaches, and schools at a nonspecific time and could not be stopped by law enforcement.

He claimed 10 people would carry out the attacks after a “couple of us” had “declared to join ISIS”. The writer stated that 5-10 attacks could not be stopped (stating law enforcement “cannot be everywhere at once”), and that the attackers planned on “not giving up” and “dying.”

Walker appeared to sign the note as “ISIS ALLAH.”…

More Anthem Hypocrisy: Kneeling, Yes; Confederate Flag, No

In today’s politically correct schools, all types of divisive expression are equal, but some are more equal than others. A case in point is Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, FL, where showing disrespect for the National Anthem is supposedly a “First Amendment right.” Wearing a Confederate Flag cape, however, is a violation.

The school recently made news because three students came on campus dressed in supposed KKK outfits and another draped himself in a Confederate Flag cape. It turned out that the three white-sheeted lads are minorities — two Hispanics and one “Middle Eastern” kid — which must have disappointed the race hustlers immensely. Anyway, some initially said the “KKK” outfits were ghost costumes, part of “Spirit Week” dress-up day. But then school superintendent Kurt Browning publicly announced, “Usually ghosts don’t have pointed hoods,” which I’m sure is true because ghosts don’t wear hoods at all. And while Browning perhaps has consorted with more ghosts than I have, I understand that ghosts also don’t have physical bodies. So it’s confirmed: those students could not have been ghosts. Hang them.

While that won’t happen, the three very corporeal beings in white face a 10-day suspension, while the caped crusader was merely forced to de-cape. You see, schools have a policy forbidding expression that can cause “disruption.”

Except there’s this issue. As CBS Miami writes, “‘Since our kids kneeled at the football game last week, there’s been a lot of racial tension in the community,’ said parent Dee Green.”

In other words, the “disruption” was caused in the first place by a Colin Kaepernick-inspired Anthem protest. So why was it allowed?

The parent quoted by CBS also said, “Never would I have expected that students, or even families, would have taken it as far as wearing Ku Klux Klan paraphernalia to the school.” Assuming they were KKK outfits, they weren’t the best choice for a counter-protest (although I suspect there’s more to the story). But the parent’s comment is a bit like saying, “All I wanted to do was burn down the house on the corner; never would I have expected that the fire would spread to my house.” When you throw punches, people may hit back — without always following your preferred rules of engagement.

Know that I emailed both the principal and head football coach of Wiregrass Ranch High School and pointed out their hypocrisy. The coach, Mark Kantor, responded and opened with the line, “I don’t have the time nor the effort to answer your email.” Yet in his exclamation-point-peppered answer to my email, he told me that I needed to “learn” my First Amendment. Obviously, he couldn’t wrap his two brain cells around the idea that it’s a tad contradictory to justify with the First Amendment controversial, anti-American expression when you’re simultaneously suppressing other controversial expression. (Also note: Coach Kantor responded to me again — after saying he’d delete any further emails from me, presumably unread — and said that he’d have a “School Resource officer” look into me on Monday and that I shouldn’t “run and hide.” And who, again, knows nothing about the First Amendment?)

To be clear, kids don’t have First Amendment rights in school, no matter what some black-robed social engineers masquerading as judges may say. If they did, they could curse out teachers with impunity, use racial epithets and engage in other disruptive speech. So Wiregrass Ranch High School does have a right to set its standards for expression, no matter how un-American, immoral and stupid they may be. The point, however, is that the courts have ruled that schools may censor disruptive expression, and educators have universally embraced this principle.

And under it they could stop the Anthem protests.

But they don’t.

So, please, don’t hide behind the “First Amendment,” you hypocrites. For it’s easy to uphold and justify unjust standards when you posture, engage in moral preening and lie to yourself about what you’re doing. Just acknowledge that, to you, showing disrespect for our nation is palatable, but politically incorrect expression (i.e., wearing a Confederate Flag) is not. Don’t kid yourselves.

This is all the worse because the Black Lives Matter movement is based on nothing but lies. And if educators make their campus grounds the scene of a movement inspiring riots, arson, assault and murder across the nation, and then are surprised when it stokes racial tensions, these educators aren’t very educated.

Florida: Conservative Activist Evicted from Miami Dade College

A conservative activist was kicked off Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus after being told she was on private property, despite the school being a public institution.

Driena Sixto, a field representative for Turning Point USA, was recruiting for the conservative organization at Miami Dade College when an administrator called campus police to have her removed, according to a video obtained by Campus Reform.

“I’m not here to argue whether it’s public or private.”

“We have free speech zones,” Lauren Adamo, director of Student Life, tells Sixto before hopping on the phone with campus police.

Sixto said Adamo was at another table nearby helping students register to vote, when she randomly approached to ask Sixto if she had permission to be there.

“Hi, there’s a woman in the breezeway and she’s not authorized to be here,” Sixto can be heard saying on the phone with campus police.

Sixto continues to recruit students while Adamo waits for police to arrive, and can be heard pitching her organization’s stance on free speech.

“We believe in free speech,” said Sixto. “We’re against ridiculous free speech zones on public universities, which they are actually trying to enforce here.”

Later in the video, Miami Dade College police officers arrive, and Sixto explained to them that she should be free to recruit without approval given she was in a public area.

“In a public university you can table; you can be in any area that’s considered public,” she stated. “So this is a public sidewalk, just like those other organizations that are considered registered.”

The camera pans to show three other groups with tables on the same pathway.

Sixto continues, “It doesn’t matter if it’s an administration rule, the school can actually get in trouble for having free speech zones or for removing people from a public area just because they’re not a registered student organization.”

“Everyone has rules,” one officer responds. “Right now you’re gonna have to leave.”

“We’re not telling you that you can’t do this, but there are procedures,” the other officer chimes in.

According to the MDC Manual of Procedure, outside organizations have to receive 15 days advance approval and pay a daily table fee of $100. Administrators also have the right to limit outside organizations to one visit per month or to deny the visit request due to “space availability.”

Reports: N.J. School Officials Suspend Student Over Pro-Gun Presentation

The general stifling of academic freedom reared its ugly head again this week, as reports from NJ.com and News12 New Jersey detailed the story of a New Jersey high schooler who was suspended for his participation in a gun-related school assignment. According to the reports, Frank Harvey, a junior at Manville High School in Manville, N.J. was removed from school after creating a video that advocated against gun control.

According to an account Harvey gave News 12, last year Harvey’s teacher for his College and Career Readiness class tasked him with creating an anti-gun-control video. Harvey’s video, supplied to NJ.com, correctly identified one of the chief problems with gun control; that criminals by definition do not obey the law, and therefore firearms restrictions merely encumber the law-abiding. The video also includes a story of an armed citizen defending his family from home invaders and two political cartoons making light of “gun free” zones. According to Harvey, he completed the assignment without incident and received an “A.”

However, according to NJ.com, on Monday, Harvey left a flash drive containing the video in a school computer lab, where it was discovered by an individual who reported the contents to school administrators. The incident prompted an investigation by the Manville Police Department, who, according to Harvey’s mother Mary Vervan, “looked at his presentation and found nothing wrong.”

The school was less understanding. School administrators suspended Harvey and mandated that he undergo a psychological examination before being permitted to return to school.

Complicating matters for Harvey, his College and Career Readiness teacher has claimed that she never gave him the assignment. Refuting this claim, Harvey told NJ.com, “She said my project would be perfectly fine…I presented the video to the class and took a few questions from my classmates. My presentation went over well. The whole idea of the assignment was to expose students to an idea they hadn’t considered before.”

Rather than submit to the school’s mandate for a psychological evaluation, Harvey withdrew from Manville High School and now plans to obtain his GED. Vervan is reportedly exploring the family’s options for removing this incident from Harvey’s school records. Suggesting that the potential consequences of this episode go beyond Harvey’s enrollment at Manville High, Vervan told NJ.com, “If the police doesn’t [sic] think there was a problem, why is the school taking these extreme actions and harassing us with child services?”

For their part, Manville school administrators contend that Harvey and his mother are lying about the nature of this incident. Superintendent Anne R. Facendo told the media that Harvey and his mother are using student privacy laws “to publicize a blatantly false, one-sided account of what occurred.” Now that Harvey has withdrawn from Manville High School, it is unclear whether any additional information regarding this case will be made public. 

Whatever the precise facts surrounding this incident, the ongoing harsh public response against the Manville school administrators shows that the general public has no difficulty believing that public school officials would punish a student for benign gun-related conduct. Following incidents where students have been punished for toy guns, drawing pictures of guns, pictures of guns on their clothing, and even chewing their food into the shape of a gun, the public is likely prepared to believe that the anti-gun prejudice of some school administrators is limitless.

Of course, if the facts of this latest incident are as Harvey and his mother contend, the Manville school administrators’ conduct would be particularly reprehensible. The U.S. Supreme Court has made clear that the First Amendment protects students from viewpoint-based restrictions on their speech. In the landmark Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, the Court famously noted, “In order for the State in the person of school officials to justify prohibition of a particular expression of opinion, it must be able to show that its action was caused by something more than a mere desire to avoid the discomfort and unpleasantness that always accompany an unpopular viewpoint.”

As noted, there are conflicting sides to this story, and any final conclusions should be reserved until more facts are made available. However, thanks to the actions of some of their more feckless colleagues throughout the country, public school administrators no longer enjoy the benefit of the doubt.

Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society

I have written that when tolerance becomes a one-way street it leads to cultural suicide. Aristotle said two millennia ago, “Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society.”

In Sarasota, Florida there is an organization headed by Dennis McGillicuddy called Embracing our Differences. Their mission is, “Through the transformative power of the Arts, we educate and inspire to create a better world. We envision a world that embraces diversity, respects differences and actively rejects hatred and prejudice.”

Labels such as bigot, racist, Homophobic, Islamophobic, Alt-Right, irredeemables, Xenophobic and deplorables are the weapons used by those who are intolerant of others. They are the same weapons used by the Embracing our Differences supporters to silence dissent. Embracing our Differences is dedicated to teaching children to be intolerant of those who have values, morals and speak truth to power.

Embracing our Differences is political correctness on steroids.

Paul Joseph Goebbels Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany said it is, “[V]itally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Embracing our Differences is dedicated to suppressing the truth and telling the big lie – that we should be intolerant of those who we disagree with.

In the column Florida High School promotes Godlessness in the name of ‘Diversity’ I noted:

Under the Riverview High School IB program is a category titled “Service Organizations.” One of these organizations is the Coexistence Club.

According to EmbracingOurDifferences.org:

The Embracing Our Differences partnership with Riverview High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Program continues to be the jewel in our crown.

Under our Docent Program, IB students and members of the Coexistence Club serve as docents and mentors to other students participating in our education program. Our student docents work in the parks daily leading groups and inspiring youngsters to recognize the messages delivered through the art and quotes. With their guided questions and planted seeds of inquiry, our young visitors are led to make realizations of their own about diversity and acceptance of others, including those different from themselves. [Emphasis added]

What are the ” inspiring messages” being planted like seeds into the minds of youngsters at Riverview High School (RHS) and the Sarasota community by the organization Embracing our Differences? Here’s a short list of statements found on an Embracing our Differences banner “Don’t Judge a Book by It’s Cover” at RHS:

  • Divorce was the best thing for my son
  • I have two mommies.
  • I am not the 99% and it makes me feel guilty.
  • My brother is now my sister and I still love her.
  • People say I am skinny but I hate my body.
  • Sober 3 years, two months and 3 days.
  • Born this way (with gay flags).
  • I Love My Bubber with Star of David (a bubber is a wino or junkie)
  • I am not sure who God is or if there even is a God.
  • Being Muslim in America is hard.
  • Human – everything else is irrelevant.
  • Every tattoo has a deep personal meaning.
  • My tribe was the original homeland security.
  • My piercings make me pretty.

This is a short list of the big lies. Embracing diversity is code for an anything goes mentality when it comes to family, marriage, sexual behavior, tattoos, body piercing, science, politics and God.

As Ronald Reagan said,

“Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience…without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure… If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under… Government should uphold–and not undermine–those institutions which are custodians of the very values upon which civilization is founded: religion, education and, above all, family.”

Perhaps the “jeweled crown” of diversity needs to be replaced with one made from the vines of a thorn bush and placed upon the head of a Nazarene who was crucified by a people who embraced many of the ideals displayed on this banner.

You see, there is one book you can judge by its cover – The Holy Bible – for it is the book of life and living. Its lessons are a must for anyone’s Life Library.

‘Triggering’ a Columbia University Student Over Trump Chalking

In this hilarious yet disturbing new video released by Project Veritas Action Fund, James O’Keefe “triggers” a social justice warrior (SJW) student at Columbia University in New York City by simply “chalking for Donald Trump”.

In the video, O’Keefe and several PVA journalists write Trump and Trump 2016 in chalk on the campus sidewalk and proceed to build a wall made out of fake bricks. A female student at Columbia appears to be emotionally distressed over the chalk and bricks and she starts to cry while asking O’Keefe how anyone could support Trump. “I’m scared that you guys even think this,” said the overly emotional female student.

A crowd of students are seen surrounding O’Keefe and the other PVA journalists when campus security intervenes and asks O’Keefe to leave. When O’Keefe and the PVA journalists leave, a man with a hose is immediately seen washing away all of the pro-Trump chalking.

Miami-Dade School Board Sued for Violation of First Amendment

On Friday, August 19, a federal judge rejected a motion by the School Board of Miami-Dade County to dismiss a law suit against the board for alleged violations of Freedom of Speech and Assembly under the First Amendment.  The Plaintiffs allege that the school board unlawfully took adverse employment action against them in retaliation for their involvement in the attempt to convert a public school to a charter school, an attempt that ultimately failed.

The plaintiffs include Dr. Alberto T. Fernandez, Henny Cristobol, and Patricia E. Ramirez.  They worked at Neva King Cooper Educational Center, a special school for students with significant intellectual disabilities in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.  Dr. Fernandez was the principal, Cristobol was the assistant principal, and Ramirez was the placement specialist.

In May 2012, the district transferred the employees to alternate work locations for their participation in the school’s efforts to explore converting it to a charter school.  The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigated the district’s actions, and the OIG issued a Fact-Finding Report unfavorable to the School Board. The FDOE then referred the case to the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) for a hearing to take place.  On June 30, 2014, Judge Edward Bauer from DOAH issued a recommended order based on the facts found during the hearing.  The judge recommended that the FDOE enter a final order finding that the board violated Florida Statute 1002.3(4)(a) “Unlawful Reprisal” with respect to each plaintiff, and that the board pay Dr. Fernandez $10,590 in lost bonuses and other reasonable costs. On November 6, 2014, the FDOE entered a final order which reiterated the judge’s recommended order.  The board was also ordered to pay over $250,000 in attorney fees to the employees.*

On May 20, 2015, the plaintiffs filed the current law suit in federal court for violations of their First Amendment rights for their involvement in the above-mentioned conversion charter school exploration. On February 8, 2016, the school board filed a motion with the court to dismiss the case.  The judge, the Honorable Darrin P. Gayles, of the US District Court, Southern District of Florida, disagreed with the board’s plea. The judge’s entire order can be found here.  (Case no. 15-cv-21915-Gayles.)

Miami-Dade Teachers Union backed State Senator Dwight Bullard linked to Terrorists

MIAMI, Fl. (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The grassroots group Miami United Against BDS (MUAB) is demanding that Florida State Senator Dwight Bullard immediately resign his seat in the Florida State House and end his bid for re-election. Reports surfaced this week that Bullard took a trip in May to territories under Palestinian control where he met with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), an organization listed by the State Department since 1997 as a foreign terrorist organization.

Bullard, according to his campaign website, is a teacher. He teaches at Coral Reef Senior High School and Coral Gables Adult in Miami-Dade public schools. Bullard is a member of the United Teachers of Dade (UTD) and at one time was a union representative. Senator Bullard is a UTD backer and beneficiary.

Bullard was photographed with a member of the PFLP, and those images were shared on social media by the group which coordinated Bullard’s trip to the Middle East. During his visit, Bullard also met with a co-founder of the anti-Israel BDS movement Omar Barghouti, and images of them together also circulated on social media. BDS, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, is a campaign aimed at singling out Israel for economic warfare.

Earlier this year, Florida passed a bill to prevent the state from doing business with companies participating in boycotts of Israel. Similar anti-BDS bills have also passed in a dozen other states across the country.

MUAB called upon the Florida Democratic Party to condemn this meeting with terrorists and urge Dwight Bullard to resign and end his reelection campaign. They also asked Equity Florida Action PAC, Florida Planned Parenthood PAC, Florida AFL-CIO, SAVE Action PAC, AFSCME Florida, 1199 SEIU, the International Association of Fire Fighters, the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida and United Faculty of Florida to immediately withdraw their endorsements of Bullard based upon his interactions with a terrorist organization and others whose ideology and actions make them enemies of the United States and its ally Israel.

One of the leaders of Miami United Against BDS, Joseph Daniels (a registered Democrat) said: “By meeting with supporters of terrorist organizations Dwight Bullard has shown himself to be completely unfit for office. We will not sit back and be silent when an elected official from Florida meets with a terrorist group that has murdered innocent civilians in Israel.”

Nilsa Alvarez from Comunidad Cristiana Pembroke Pines (Christian Community of Pembroke Pines) said, “BDS is the best example of racism and discrimination applied to business and the global market. BDS is the modern yellow star, aimed at financially persecuting the Jewish community in a baseless effort to delegitimize the Jewish State of Israel and her rights to flourish as a democratic republic in a sea of politically unstable countries seeking to undermine her freedom to be.”

Said Rabbi Uri Pilichowski, Director of Israel Advocacy for Southern NCSY, “Elected officials have a responsibility to learn the truth and not take positions until they know the facts. Rep. Bullard did not do his due diligence about the reality in Israel and found himself on the side of hate. Now, the students of Florida are taking it upon themselves to teach Rep. Bullard the truth about Israel.  His statements are a pure example of the hypocrisy these BDS groups are all about.”

Joe Zevuloni, Founder of Miami United Against BDS stated: “State Senator Bullard is so concerned about Palestinian civil rights, but he should start condemning some of the same people he is trying to “defend.”  Why doesn’t he condemn groups such as the PFLP, Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organization that carry out attacks and openly persecute Christians and members of the LGBT community? Within the Palestinian areas women cannot run for political office let alone participate fully in civic life. On the other hand, Israel is a vibrant democracy and the only true U.S. ally in the Middle East. Israel is America’s best friend and friends stand up for each other. All Americans from every background should step up and join us to help defeat BDS.”

Zevuloni added: “MUAB is vehemently opposed to the anti-Semitic BDS movement and we condemn all who support it. It is unconscionable that Bullard would meet with Omar Barghouti and other Israel detractors who advocate targeting Israel with economic warfare.

“In recent days Mr. Bullard has also expressed his unwillingness to endorse the two-state solution for Israeli-Palestinian peace, which puts him squarely on the side of those who advocate a one-state solution, which in practical terms amounts to destroying the Jewish state of Israel,” added Zevuloni.

MUAB Founder Joe Zevuloni concluded: “As South Floridians who champion the values of democracy, human rights, open dialogue and respect for human life, it is unthinkable to accept that there is someone in the Florida legislature who is willing to meet openly with terrorist groups and other hateful organizations whose values are diametrically opposed to those of Floridians and all Americans. It is our duty to condemn this form of hate and defeat it.”

With the Primary Election approaching, I’m often asked about which candidates I’ll be supporting in the Republican Primary. Out of respect for my position as Sarasota County’s Republican State Committeeman, that question typically goes unanswered because I avoid supporting one Republican candidate over another Republican Candidate and instead focus on the two goals that make up my mission:

  1. Ensuring victory by Republican candidates at the local, state and federal level; and
  2. Promoting and advancing the principles of the Republican Party

Those two goals make up my mission. The issue before me today is my motivation, which starts and ends with my almost 3 year old and 5 month old daughters. The moment my first daughter was born, I stopped living for myself and began living for her. Having another child just doubled up that feeling.

With that in mind, after reading that a “Progressive PAC” fueled by anonymous liberal donors is backing Caroline Zucker’s School Board campaign, hearing that the Sarasota County Democratic Party has endorsed Caroline Zucker, and reading an email chain making it clear that the Union is working for Caroline Zucker, I have come to the conclusion that we must prevent Caroline Zucker from overseeing the school district that my children will inherit, and I cannot sit on the sidelines any longer.

So today, in what I believe is the most important race on the Primary Election ballot and in the best interest of our School District, I’m officially endorsing Conservative Teresa Mast for Sarasota County School Board and I urge you to do the same!

Here are the reasons why I OPPOSE Caroline Zucker and SUPPORT Teresa Mast for Sarasota County School Board:

Why I OPPOSE Caroline Zucker For Sarasota County School Board:

  • Zucker Is On The Wrong Side Of The Transgender Bathroom, Locker Room and Sleepover Issue – Zucker doesn’t stand with common sense and refuses to prevent students of the opposite sex from sharing bathrooms, locker rooms, and sleeping quarters during school field trips. As recently as last night, Zucker debated the issue on ABC7 and in a clear effort to avoid taking a position before the election, Zucker stated:  “I can’t take a position [on the Transgender bathroom/lock room/sleeping quarters issue] right now”  (Click to watch the video: Mast vs. Zucker – Transgender Issue Debate)
  • Zucker Heads Up A Liberal Organization That Sued Our Republican Governor & Republican Legislature – Zucker serves as the President of the liberal Florida School Board Association (FSBA), which has brought lawsuits against our Republican Governor and Republican Legislature in an effort to block better education options for those who need them the most – low-income students. Zucker has also expressed strong support for this lawsuit in the past.
  • Zucker Knowingly Misleads Voters – Zucker recently sent out a campaign mailer that appeared the show that Sheriff Tom Knight had endorsed her. Sounds standard for a campaign, however Sheriff Knight had not given her his endorsement, or permission to use his name and photo on her mailer.   • Zucker’s Fundraisers Are Put On By Democratic Party Leaders – The President of the Longboat Key Democratic Party recently hosted a fundraiser for Caroline Zucker. (Click here to read: Zucker Meet-And-Greet)
  • Zucker Supports Wasting Tax Dollars And Low Voter Turnout On Important Issues – The School District Referendum Election takes place in March and last election received just 16% turnout AND cost the Sarasota County School District $324,827.25 to hold an “off-cycle” election. If this election was held in November of a Presidential year, turnout would go up to 75% and it would not cost the School District a penny since it wouldn’t be an “off-cycle” election. Wouldn’t $324,827.25 be better spent in the classroom?
  • Zucker Breaks The Rules When It Benefits Her & It “Appears” As If Zucker Broke The Law – Even though Zucker is running in a “non-partisan” race and is prohibited from sharing her party affiliation without being asked, she ignored that rule when it benefited her. Even the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported that this action “appears to be a violation of Florida State Statute 106.143(3)”. (Click to read the article)
  • Zucker Has Been In Office Way Too Long – She was first elected to the Sarasota County School Board in 1992. Since then, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush AND Barack Obama have each served two eight-year terms, Google was 8 years away from being founded, and the Ringling Bridge still had a decade to go before it was built. It’s time for the voters to apply force term limits on Zucker.
  • Zucker Is The Deciding Seat – With 2 Conservatives and 2 Union Backed Board Members, this race will decide which direction the Sarasota County School Board will head. Do you want the School Board to represent the taxpayers, teachers, parents and most importantly, the students, or do you want the future of the School Board to be decided by an individual put into office by a Progressive PAC, the Democratic Party and the Union, whose sole focus (according to their President), isn’t to ensure great teachers and an amazing education for our students, but instead is to “protect [teacher] income”? (Observer, 10/22/14). A vote for Zucker is a vote for the direction pushed by the Progressive PAC, Democratic Party and Union Bosses.

Why I SUPPORT Teresa Mast For Sarasota County School Board:

  • Mast Is A Conservative – I’m confident that Teresa Mast will be committed to representing the taxpayers, teachers, parents and students of Sarasota County.
  • Mast Brings A Fresh Perspective – Teresa Mast is energetic, has never been elected to office and would fill Zucker’s seat on the Board with a fresh perspective focused on transparency & community engagement. (Read The Observer Endorsement)
  • Mast Listens To The Community – Teresa Mast has spent a good portion of her career working for the Sarasota County Government in a role where she was responsible for seeking, gathering and incorporating citizen feedback.
  • Mast Is The Deciding Candidate – This race will decide which direction the School Board will head. Will the School Board be controlled by an individual put into office by a Progressive PAC, the Democratic Party and Union Bosses or will the School Board represent their real boss – the taxpayers, teachers, parents and most importantly, the students of Sarasota County? A vote for Teresa Mast is a vote for the taxpayers, teachers, parents, and Sarasota County students.

I love Sarasota County. I’ll never be moving away from Sarasota County. Sarasota County is a place where other people hope that they’ll be able to retire to and that’s exactly what I intend to do. And because of that, my two daughters will be attending school in Sarasota County.

It’s no secret that my wife Bridget Ziegler serves on the Sarasota County School Board, and I’m sure the media will make that clear if they write about this email, but this plea is not about her.

Instead, the motivation behind this email is simple – as a Sarasota County taxpayer, parent, and conservative, I feel an obligation to speak up and do what I can to ensure that we elect the best person to represent us on the School Board so that our citizens, parents, and most importantly, the students (current and future, including my daughters) of Sarasota County have access to an amazing school district.

And that’s exactly why I urge you to reject Liberal Caroline Zucker and vote for Conservative Teresa Mast for Sarasota County.

Black Families in Georgia Are Rejecting Public School by Annie Holmquist

During the 1950s and 60s, America’s black families fought a difficult battle to integrate the public schools, hoping to give their children a better education. Because of this hard-won victory, many black parents have been strong supporters of public schools in the subsequent decades.

But that support may be changing.

According to a recent article in the Christian Science Monitor, an increasing number of black families are leaving public schools for the same reason they once embraced them, and are instead gravitating to homeschooling.

Quoting a former public-school-teacher-turned-homeschool-mom named Nikita Bush,The Monitor explains this movement:

“Despite the promises of the civil rights movement, ‘people are starting to realize that public education in America was designed for the masses of poor, and its intent has been to trap poor people into being workers and servants. If you don’t want that for your children, then you look for something else,’ she says.”

While most states prohibit homeschooling parents from teaching anybody except their own children, Georgia has no such restriction.

Bush is not alone in thinking that the public schools are keeping minority children from reaching their potential. According to a poll released in 2016 by The Leadership Conference Education Fund, minority parents “strongly reject the notion that students from low-income families should be held to lower standards.” In fact, “Nine-out-of-ten African Americans and 84 percent of Latinos disagreethat students today work hard enough and instead believe that students should be challenged more to help ensure they are successful later in life.”

Research backs up the opinion that minority children can be challenged to do better – and even do better – in a homeschool environment. A 2015 study conducted by Brian Ray found that black homeschool students scored in the 68th percentile in reading, the 56th percentile in language, and the 50th percentile in math. By contrast, black public school students scored in the 25th, 30th, and 28th percentiles of the same areas (chart).

But while many would admit that these improvements are terrific, many would also be quick to question whether or not a homeschool scenario is feasible for black families, particularly since more than 65 percent of black children are born into single-parent homes. How can black parents manage to work and support their children while simultaneously homeschooling them?

The answer to that, The Christian Science Monitor explains, may be found in Georgia:

“In most states, home-schooling parents tend to be dual-parent and middle- or upper-income … enabling one parent to stay home and teach the kids.

But Georgia is different, says Cheryl Fields-Smith, a professor of education at the University of Georgia. While most states prohibit homeschooling parents from teaching anybody except their own children, Georgia has no such restriction. That has given rise to co-ops, where, in essence, groups of parents serve as rotating teachers, based on their own skill sets, talents, and fortes.

That, Professor Fields-Smith says, has allowed single black moms to band together to give their children an education that they say better reflects their values and history – while still being able to work.”

What’s clear is that parents – even traditional public school supporters – are growing tired of their children coming out of the system with subpar educations.

Is it possible that homeschooling – and the higher academic achievement which seems to accompany it – might be more accessible to more families if other states adopted Georgia’s model and enabled parents to band together and lead their children to success and a bright future?
