Texas mother regrets vote for Biden after teen daughter killed by illegal immigrant: ‘I want to know why’

Illegal immigrant who killed American teen won’t be deported under Biden policy

Adrienne Sophia Exum, a 19-year-old from Texas, was killed by an illegal immigrant who was driving drunk. Adrienne’s mother, Rhonda Exum, was told the man would be deported, but under President Biden’s immigration policies, he is staying in the country.

Rhonda Exum is looking for answers. She said she was never informed when the deportation decision was rescinded.

“I really want to know why,” Exum said on “Fox & Friends First” Tuesday.

“By him not being deported, it’s like you telling me my daughter’s life didn’t mean anything.”

Adrienne’s cousin, Tranette Gamboa, told Fox News’ Todd Piro that she was shocked to find out the man would not be deported.

“They don’t care,” Gamboa said.

Exum, who voted for Biden in the 2020 presidential election, said she’s disappointed.

“I thought he was going to talk for the American people, basically, and not for himself,” she said. “I don’t feel that he has done anything but disappoint.”

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas issued the following statement regarding the administration’s updated enforcement policies: “For the first time, our guidelines will, in the pursuit of public safety, require an assessment of the individual and take into account the totality of the facts and circumstances. …”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton responded to Mayorkas by saying it “doesn’t matter” to the administration that an illegal immigrant killed Adrienne Exum.

“I believe that Biden has betrayed our country. He’s betraying families that are losing people right and left,” Paxton said. “I think the answer to the ‘why?’ is that they have greater goals that are more important than saving members of families.”

Rhonda Exum continued to ask why her daughter’s killer is allowed to remain in the country.

“My message is: Look out for the American people first.”

2ndVote Gun Cam AR-15 Celebrates Three Years of Not Killing Anyone

We’ve heard them all; the plethora of arguments against firearms and the second amendment are false and uninformed.

“Guns are the issue.”

“Guns are dangerous.”

“Guns kill people!”

“Guns should only be used by individuals over the age of 21.”

“We need gun-free safe spaces.”

“We need common sense gun laws.”

“Places with strict gun laws don’t have shooting problems.”

“Less guns, less gun violence.”

“Certain guns should be banned completely.”

Have you ever heard any of these arguments and just wanted to roll your eyes? Even the President of the United States has added to the long list of lies about firearms and the second amendment, after also saying that American patriots’ AR-15’s were not enough to stop his fighter jets and nuclear weapons. These anti-gun claims come from people who are lying, ignorant, or both.

These arguments are the very reason why we at 2ndVote decided to start live streaming an AR-15 three years ago. Over the last three years – starting February 1, 2019, we have proven that the gun itself is not the issue. 2ndVote founder Dr. David Black says he has spent literally hours over these past three years making sure this gun understood what America is all about, that we have come together to celebrate what we have in common, as opposed to our weaknesses and differences. The scary black military-style assault rifle has not argued, disagreed, or threatened Dr. Black or his staff even once.

We are proud to report the 2ndVote AR-15 shown in the Gun Cam live stream has not:

  • Loaded even a single round of ammunition into the magazine.
  • Aimed at even a single person.
  • Fired at any inanimate objects.
  • Shot at any living creature.
  • Shot at any human – the kill count remains at “000” despite being designed to “kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible”.

Unfortunately, the AR-15 shown in the Gun Cam has also refused to clean itself (either field dressing or simple dusting) so we take care of that. So we must ask again…are guns really the issue? Of course not.

We hope the gun cam proves the theory that a gun is not the issue, but simply an important reminder of our American right for protection of life, liberty, and property from thieves, ne’er-do-wells and tyrants, also known as the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

So the next time that loud, woke friend of yours starts to go into their “guns bad…no guns solve problem” argument, before they start to sound like the droning-on talking heads on TV, make sure to show them the 2ndVote Gun Cam Livestream. If they are honest, they will have to acknowledge that guns are not the problem.

As for the 2ndVote Gun Cam, it will continue live streaming and proving the left’s false claims to be the hyperbolic deception that it always was.

The Brandon Administration’s First Year in Review

President Biden’s First Year

On January 20th, President Biden’s first year in office came to a close.  Last January we had challenges, for sure.  But one year later, each of those challenges is now in the category of crisis.  Making it worse, there are now a number of significant new problems largely self-created by this administration.

The Inflation & Economic Crisis: Inflation has reached its highest level in 40 years and prices of consumer goods continue to skyrocket. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Democrats continued to provide massive stimulus spending under their one party rule despite the fact there was more than $1 trillion appropriated during the Trump Administration that is still unspent.  State governments have so much money they don’t know how to spend it.  Meanwhile, the Fed now has little option but to increase interest rates right at the time we are very likely on the verge of a recession.

The December jobs report was the worst of Joe Biden’s presidency, and many Americans are facing empty grocery store shelves. Supply chain experts do not expect these issues to get better any time soon.  When you don’t have enough workers you can’t produce enough product to meet demand.  Nor can you get the product shipped timely. Time is money. It costs extra for product to sit idle — whether at a port or in an inland warehouse.

The Crime Crisis: Homicides and crime rates in 2021 were near record highs, with several major cities breaking annual homicide records. When you go soft on crime, you get more of it. It is that simple. The irony is liberal soft on crime policies actually increase firearm ownership as more and more law-abiding citizens purchase guns to protect themselves and their families.

The Border Security Catastrophe: The crisis at our southern border is out of control with criminal cartels flooding the U.S. with dangerous drugs, sex trafficking and who knows what else. Additionally, a recently leaked video shows how the Biden administration is immediately releasing large numbers of illegal immigrants, mostly men apprehended at our southern border, into our communities.  Another leaked video shows the administration is flying illegal immigrants in the middle of the night to locations across the country.

Make no mistake, President Biden is turning every state into a border state. Rather than enforcing our laws, he is facilitating the breaking of them.  I anticipate there will be a massive push for his impeachment in the next Congress under Republican leadership for what is truly a dereliction of duty to protect the American people.  The truth is though, such an effort will go nowhere in the Senate — regardless of which party has the majority.  It requires 2/3 vote of that chamber to remove a President from office who has been impeached by the House.

The Education Crisis: One million children started their school year dealing with sudden closures.  Congress sent billions to state governments and local school districts so they could safely reopen, not close their doors again.  Vaccine mandates and mask mandates are only dividing the country that much more.

The Energy Crisis: If you want to increase gas prices, cutting domestic production is the best way to do it. (Washington liberals like high gas prices because it makes alternative sources of fuel that much more competitive with fossil fuels.) That’s exactly what this Administration did and now we are all paying for it at the pump and for other products as well. This is part of the inflation crisis too.  Just about every product made has petroleum as part of its make, or petroleum is required to run the machines to produce the product, and to ship it.
It’s time to return to policies that provide solutions for the American people. We have enough problems without the federal government making all of them worse.

Well that about sums up the Brandon Administration’s Build Back Worse Agenda. Crisis after crisis is their nom de guerre. Biden is using the assumed label of “Build Back Better” to engage in a cultural, economic, educational and criminal war against we the American people.

Therefore, it is appropriate to call this the Brandon Administration.

Some other notable examples of Gimenez Socialist votes include:

  • RINO Gimenez openly supported and voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. That alone was grounds for expulsion from the GOP;
  • RINO Gimenez voted with Nancy Pelosi on H.R. 550, to allow the federal government to create a database, track unvaccinated Americans, who could be targeted, segregated, discriminated against, and forced to comply with vaccination mandates;
  • RINO Gimenez voted with Nancy Pelosi on Anti-Second Amendment legislation HR-8, making it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to purchase, own, carry, and use a firearm;
  • RINO Gimenez voted with Nancy Pelosi on H.R. 6 for ‘Open Borders and Amnesty’ to over 20 million criminal illegal aliens, which would permanently avoid deportation, obtain a pathway to citizenship, and full voting rights;
  • RINO Gimenez also voted with Nancy Pelosi to strip Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of all Congressional Committee positions.

Manchin: Build Back Better Is ‘Dead’

Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin told reporters Tuesday that President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill was “dead” when asked about the status of renewed negotiations.

Manchin preceded his remark by saying that “there is no Build Back Better bill,” adding, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The centrist Democrat came out against the bill in December 2021, criticizing its size and scope amid decades-high inflation. His lack of support effectively killed any chance the bill had of passing the evenly-divided Senate, given Republicans’ unanimous opposition to it.

Though Manchin did not support the House-passed bill and was unable to reach a compromise with his Democratic colleagues, he has not shut the door to potentially restarting negotiations in the future. He has also signaled support for several individual policies in the bill, including but not limited to climate change mitigation measures and universal pre-K.

One policy that Democrats are insisting be prioritized in any reworked package is the expanded child tax credit, which the party adopted in March 2021 which expired at the end of the year. Several Democrats wrote to Biden directly, urging him to push for its adoption, while some Republicans have even offered their own alternatives if the credit remains scuttled.

Denmark Officially Becomes First EU Country To Drop All Domestic COVID Restrictions

Denmark lifted all domestic COVID-19 restrictions on Tuesday, becoming the first member of the European Union to do so, BBC News reported.

Cases are still relatively high in Denmark, but officials have said the high vaccination rate in the country means the virus is no longer a “critical threat,” BBC News reported.

“We have an extremely high coverage of adults vaccinated with three doses,” epidemiologist Lone Simonsen of the University of Roskilde told the AFP news agency, BBC News reported. “With Omicron not being a severe disease for the vaccinated, we believe it is reasonable to lift restrictions.”

With the restrictions rescinded, masks are no longer required to enter a store, restaurant or on public transport, and limits on the number of people gathering indoors and mandatory social distancing measures have ended, BBC News reported. The national contact-tracing app is no longer required, though individual event organizers can opt to make it a condition of entry.

Hospitals and care homes will still mandate the use of face masks in hospitals and care homes, and some restrictions remain for unvaccinated travelers attempting to cross Denmark’s borders, BBC News reported.

“Good morning to a completely open Denmark,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen wrote on Facebook, BBC News reported.

“No one can know what will happen next December. But we promised the citizens of Denmark that we will only have restrictions if they are truly necessary and we’ll lift them as soon as we can,” Danish Health Minister Magnus Heunicke told CNN on Monday. “That’s what’s happening right now.”

The Attorney General should review 8 U.S. Code § 1324 (Bringing in and harboring certain aliens), which deems the actions of any person or organization acting as the Biden administration currently is as felonies.

New Book Ties Chinese Spy Agencies to Biden Family Deals! Anyone shocked?

Last week, I told you about a new book – Red-Handed -documenting how communist China has corrupted American elites.  The Chinese call their methods “elite capture”.  The book author, Peter Schweizer, is giving interviews now, showing you just how ugly elite capture can be.

Schweizer says the Biden family has received $31 million from dealings involving people high-up in China’s spy agencies.  A Chinese businessman in one of the deals had a business partner who was Vice Minister of State Security overseeing operations for targeting foreigners in North America.  Another businessman had ties to a former minister of state security involved in overseas intelligence work.  Hunter Biden was ‘anchor investor’ in another deal with a Chinese nuclear power company that was charged by our Justice Department with stealing nuclear secrets.

The book builds on Schweizer’s revelations in a 2020 documentary called Riding the Dragon, which you can find on YouTube.  Then there are the allegations Joe Biden used family members to help him sell his office as Vice President – allegations about Hunter Biden’s sweetheart business deals in China and Ukraine, with big payments reserved for ‘the Big Guy’, Joe Biden.  The FBI found enough in some of these allegations to start an investigation.   We never heard any more about that, did we.  Funny how these things work.

The Biden family’s China connections still turn up regularly in news stories.

Hunter Biden was to be paid $10 million a year for at least 3 years to help expand a Chinese energy consortium’s business around the world.  Hunter simply had to do what he does in all these deals – make introductions to important people.  He received a 3-carat diamond as a gift to seal the deal.    Hunter also tried to help the same company buy liquid natural gas assets in Louisiana, but that deal didn’t go through.

Hunter Biden tried to assist a Chinese state oil company buy an oil field in Africa despite having been warned the company was connected to countries under U.S. sanctions.

Late last year, Hunter helped a Chinese company buy a cobalt mine in DR Congo.  Cobalt is important in the production of electric car batteries.

Some time ago, Senator Chuck Grassley issued a report on Hunter Biden’s dealings with individuals tied to the Chinese Communist Party.  Late last year, he provided more documentation and challenged Democrat Senate committee chairs to investigate the Biden family.

If all this was simple corruption like Hillary Clinton selling her office while she was Secretary of State, that would be one thing. But what we have here is elite capture by a country that seeks world domination and considers itself at war with us. For the family of the U.S. Vice President and now President to lay itself open to Chinese communists and spy agencies flirts with treason. As Schweizer wrote in his book, “The hazard of a Chinese businessman with close ties to the top ranks of Beijing’s spy agency conducting financial transactions with the son of the U.S. vice president cannot be overstated. How this did not set off national security or ethics alarm bells in Washington is a wonder in itself.”

How to Fight the Soros DAs More Effectively

Here are the latest outrages perpetrated by the Soros DAs, the prosecutors who won’t prosecute because they think criminals are an oppressed class.  More like privileged class, where the Soros DAs are in control.

In 2014, a transgender biological male grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the throat in a Denny’s and sexually assaulted her in a bathroom.  The offender was a juvenile at the time but an adult now.  He just received two years in a juvenile facility for the crime.  The judge’s hands were tied because Los Angeles DA George Gascón could have transferred the case to adult court, but refused to do so.  So an adult is in juvy because of this DA.  But that’s not all.  Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, a Democrat, went around Gascón and got the feds to prosecute four individuals involved in the gang killing of a Los Angeles police officer.  A second effort to recall Gascón is underway.

A recall effort is also underway against San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin who a whistleblower just accused of withholding evidence in a case.  A police officer was accused of using excessive force, but the whistleblower says she felt she would be fired from her investigator’s job unless she kept quiet about a witness who saw the offender beating a woman before the officer used his baton.

More than a dozen prosecutors in Manhattan have quit because the new DA Alvin Bragg is soft on crime.  “They didn’t want to work in this kind of office. They wanted to continue prosecuting the law,” a source told the New York Post.  Bragg is bought and paid for.  George Soros donated $1 million to get Bragg elected.  The wife of slain New York City police officer Jason Rivera just slammed Bragg while speaking at her husband’s funeral, saying “the system continues to fail us,” her husband did not like New York’s new laws coddling criminals, and she hoped the new DA was watching her husband speak through her now.

Murder and crime rates are up in many Democrat-run cities where Soros DAs have been elected.  As of 2018, Soros had bankrolled 21 DAs, and those are just the ones we know about.

It’s nice to see more people taking action against some of the Soros DAs, with recalls and ethics disciplinary hearings, as well as a no-confidence vote in Los Angeles. In Pennsylvania, Republican Senate majority leader Jake Corman has moved to have Soros-backed Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner impeached because of skyrocketing crime in the city.

Corman is the exception among Republicans.  Here’s my question:  Where are the Republican state legislators in all this?  Why haven’t any of these Soros DAs been hauled up before state legislative hearings and grilled about usurping legislative authority – what do you mean you aren’t going to enforce the laws we passed?  Why aren’t legislators more protective of their own power?  Republicans control state legislative houses in places like Virginia where there are Soros DAs.  Even where Republicans are not in control, like in California, they could hold their own hearings and call in the press, like U.S. Senator Ron Johnson just did on COVID.  I’ve just started a new team to throw a spotlight on things like this where Republicans are falling down on the job.  We’re going on a RINO hunt.  You’ll be hearing more about my team’s activities from me in the future.

According to Heather, “He fans out ballots, takes a photo, and places them in the dropbox. “It’s been reported that illegal ballot harvesters were paid $10 per ballot, and had to show proof.”

Liberty Overwatch added: True the Vote has compiled layers of evidence of organized ballot tracking in 6 states In Georgia, they allege there were 242 traffickers who made 5,662 trips to ballot drop boxes between the early morning hours of 12 AM and 5 AM, potentially unloading hundreds of thousands of illegally harvested ballots over the course of several weeks.

For the record, ballot harvesting is illegal in Georgia and was illegal back in 2020 via H.B. 316 passed by the Georgia General Assembly.

Judge: Skirt Wearing Boy Who Raped Virginia High Schooler Is Not A ‘Sex Offender’

A Virginia judge ruled Thursday that the male high school student who has sexually assaulted female students on at least two different occasions in two Loudoun County high schools will not be required to register as a sex offender.

The same skirt wearing teen in October was found guilty of sexually assaulting a different girl at a different high school in Loudoun County in May. The no contest plea means the boy did not challenge the charges, which were felony abduction and misdemeanor sexual battery. The 15-year-old admitted to abducting a girl from a hallway inside Broad Run High School in Ashburn and forcing her into an empty classroom, where he touched her chest area, authorities said.” “He was previously convicted of forcible sodomy and forcible fellatio, both felonies.”

The sexual predator in one of Virginia’s most populous counties on Monday pleaded no contest to assaulting a girl in a school bathroom.

I wonder how she would have ruled if it was her daughter who was raped.

Judge: Skirt Wearing Boy Who Raped Virginia High Schooler Is Not A ‘Sex Offender’

A Virginia judge ruled Thursday that the male high school student who has sexually assaulted female students on at least two different occasions in two Loudoun County high schools will not be required to register as a sex offender.

In a Thursday hearing, Loudoun County Judge Pamela Brooks granted the teenager’s defense team’s demand to drop the lifetime sex offender registration from his punishment that brought intense condemnation from one of the victims’ parents.

The teenager had been sentenced to a “locked residential program” at a residential psychiatric facility earlier this month and a lifetime on the sex offender registry. But Thursday’s decision removed the second demand.

In a statement published on Twitter by WJLA reporter Scott Smith, the father of one of the victims said he and his wife “are not just heartbroken about today’s ruling, we are quite frankly mad at how the justice system and Loudoun Commonwealth’s attorney has let down both our daughter, as well as the other victims of his predatory behavior.”

The assault of Smith’s daughter occurred in the women’s bathroom at Stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County. The offender was sporting a skirt when the assault occurred and was allowed to transfer to a different high school, where he committed a second assault.

The handling of the two attacks led to claims that the school board covered up the assaults while working to pass a transgender bathroom policy. New Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares announced that his office would probe the district hours after he was inaugurated.

WJLA reported that an independent review of the school district’s handling of the assaults was recently completed. Yet, district officials have refused to release the results, citing attorney-client privilege.

Smith brought the sexual assault of his daughter to national headlines when he was arrested at a Loudoun County School Board meeting for engaging in a quarrel with law enforcement. He says a woman came to him to tell him she didn’t believe his daughter had been raped, precipitating the struggle.

Smith spoke against the board’s intended execution of the transgender bathroom policy when he was arrested. He was later found guilty of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

WJLA reported Wednesday that the judge in the case, referring to the teenager’s psychological reports, said, “You scare me. What I read in those reports scared me and should scare families and scare society.”

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Former President Donald Trump was Conroe, Texas on Saturday, where he held a Save America Rally in front of thousands and thousands of supporters

Days before Trump arrived supporters packed in around the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Supporters driving in from state like Tennessee, Seattle, Michigan and California to name a few.

The former President took the stage at about 7:30pm local time and gave shout-outs to top Texas Republicans who are up for re-election, such as Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick,  Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, Attorney General Ken Paxton and Governor Greg Abbott.

Miller endorsing Trump for President in 2024 saying,

“I don’t know what’s happening in 2024, but I have a feeling if 45 wants to be 47, America will lift him up again,” Patrick said, later introducing Trump as the “45th and soon-to-be 47th president of the United States.”

Governor Abbott came out to a video showing support from Trump, and the former president later gave Gov. Abbott his “complete and total endorsement.”

Governor Abbott gave praise to Trump while touting his own accomplishments on funding the police and securing the southern border.

During his speech, Trump said president Joe Biden is creating a “Real risk of world war three.”

Trump blasted president Biden, Blaming him for foreign and domestic problems, and said America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was image changing and demonstrated weakness to the rest of the world.

“What Joe Biden and Pelosi-Schumer Congress have done to our country in just one year is a travesty of the highest order. Inflation is skyrocketing. Gas prices are soaring. Supply chains are crumbling. Can you believe what’s happening? You can’t get anything.”

He says North Korea is now testing missiles like never before, China is threatening Taiwan, Russia may take over Ukraine, and Iran is close to getting a nuclear weapon.

Trump also blamed Biden for problems at home, high inflation, supply chain problems, and a surge of migrants at the southern border.

“Joe Biden’s weakness and incompetence is creating a very real risk of World War Three. Look at what’s going on. This would have never happened with us. It was never even a thought. Would have never happened. If you care about your future and your family and your country, you have no choice. This November you have to throw these raving lunatics the hell out of power and elect strong, smart, tough Republicans who can restore your borders, protect your safety, defend your jobs and put America first.”

RELEASE THE TRANSCRIPT! CNN In Panic/Delete Mode Over Biden-Ukraine Phone Call Disaster

According to leakers close to the story, and reported by CNN, the call, which lasted an hour and 20 minutes, and described as “candid” by the two leaders, saw Biden and Zelensky butting heads on the threat posed by Russia.

Update (2023ET): CNN journos doing damage control after the network’s Natasha Bertrand panicked and deleted tweets containing harsh comments reportedly made by President Biden to Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky – namely that a Russian invasion was “imminent,” that the Capital city of Kyiv could be “sacked,” and to “prepare for impact.”

Now – none of that apparently happened according to CNN‘s Jim Sciutto, the White House, and apparently Ukraine itself. Of note, CNN claims their source was a “senior Ukrainian official.”

Human Events‘ Jack Posobiec lays it out:

We may have just caught a CNN reporter deleting a war report that exposed the truth about the White House and Ukraine

And it now looks like the White House pressured them to pull it.

Bertrand apparently didn’t get the message to CNN‘s Jake Tapper and Senior International Correspondent Matthew Chance, who repeated the now-disputed report – which CNN just deleted.

And the White House disputes:

Now, Posobiec reports that Zelensky’s office is also denying CNN’s report.

CNN‘s Alexander Marquardt gives a master class in walking back misinformation:

In their Thursday afternoon phone call which the White House called “a check-in”, it seems President Joe Biden took the opportunity to continue with an alarmist posture as he told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy that a Russian invasion is “now highly certain” – according to CNN.

Further, “President Biden reaffirmed the readiness of the United States along with its allies and partners to respond decisively if Russia further invades Ukraine,” according to the White House call readout. But it remains that two conflicting narratives have emerged, given just prior to the call it was being reported that Zelensky was expected to request that the US be more cautious in its messaging surrounding a potential Russian attack, per source–particularly the word “imminent,” as it risks causing panic and negative economic consequences for Ukraine. That was also according to CNN.

But the statement immediately after the call of Zelensky himself was much more toned down compared to the White House rhetoric…

“Discussed recent diplomatic efforts on de-escalation and agreed on joint actions for the future,” Zelenskiy said in a tweet. “Thanked President Joe Biden for the ongoing military assistance,” he said, also affirming that the US offered further financial support to Ukraine, which was highlighted in the Biden statement.

CNN and mainstream media in general have of late seemed intent on hyping and stoking tensions to the point of armed conflict.

The “long phone conversation” with Biden was Zelensky’s second one this month. Again, compare the low key statement of Ukraine’s president himself with what Biden reportedly said to him concerning the “level” of the threat, supposedly with Kiev itself in the crosshairs…

The Ukrainian side appears to have leaked that Biden informed Zelensky that it’s “virtually certain” that Ukraine’s capital could be “sacked” and that Russian forces are looking to occupy it.

Zelensky has been particularly concerned about the US’ rhetoric that war could be “imminent” — a word White House press secretary Jen Psaki used earlier this week to describe the US’ assessment of Russia’s plans — and the recent disclosures of intelligence to US media, the source said, which “is causing panic and economic disaster for Ukraine.”

Zelensky is expected to convey to Biden that he believes the US and its allies have to be more careful with their messaging surrounding the conflict, the source added.

It seems the two leaders were openly at odds over the true level of the threat, with the White House now being accused of grossly inflating the threat. Indeed this has been the messaging of the Ukrainians all week, especially after the US took the dramatic step of telling some of its embassy staff in Kiev to leave the country over the Russian troop build-up near Ukraine.

On this issue, Biden had some explaining to do which likely didn’t make matters any better. Biden “made clear that despite the departure of American family members of embassy personnel, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, remains open and fully operational,” according to the US readout.

Billionaire philanthropist and Democratic mega donor George Soros is pumping $125 million into a super PAC to support Democrats running in November’s midterm elections and beyond.

The 91-year-old Soros, who made his fortune in hedge funds, is infusing the money into the Democracy PAC, which he set up in 2019 to serve as his main political action committee to support Democratic causes, candidates and committees. Soros channeled roughly $80 million into the group during the 2020 cycle.

Soros said the massive new infusion of money will back pro-democracy “causes and candidates, regardless of political party” who are invested in “strengthening the infrastructure of American democracy: voting rights and civic participation, civil rights and liberties, and the rule of law.”

Soros, who shared his statement first with Politico, added that the money was designed as “long-term investment” that would support efforts well past November’s midterms.

Soros’ son Alexander Soros will serve as the PAC’s president.

The new donation will likely place the elder Soros among the top political donors in the 2022 midterms and makes him one of the few who’ve contributed an eye-popping nine figures in recent election cycles.
