Leading Scientists Determine Sun Plays Major Role in Climate

Climate scientists at Switzerland’s renowned ETH Zurich and the University of Bern have long warned of the risks of man-made global warming.

But in a brand new study their results now appear to have compelled them to postpone the expected global warming – by a few decades!

They now claim that a weaker sun (now expected over the coming decades) could reduce temperatures by half a degree Celsius.

Moreover the scientists clearly concede that the earth’s climate system is nowhere near as well understood as some scientists would like to have us believe and that the sun indeed plays a major role after all – enough so to override and postpone the effects of the often hyped greenhouse gases.

This will be hugely disappointing news for the catastrophe-hopers and cheerleaders, who hold front row tickets to the announced climate catastrophe, which according to some should be happening already.

The Swiss scientists say that sun’s impact on climate change has now been quantified “for first time” (see postscript below).

The Swiss scientists say that their model calculations show a plausible way that fluctuations in solar activity could have a tangible impact on the climate. The Swiss National Science Foundation-funded studies now expect human-induced global warming to tail off slightly over the next few decades. A weaker sun could reduce temperatures by half a degree.

The sun a factor after all

There is human-induced climate change, and there are natural climate fluctuations, the scientists acknowledge, and say one important factor in the unchanging rise and fall of the Earth’s temperature and its different cycles is the sun. As its activity varies, so does the intensity of the sunlight that reaches the earth’s surface. Previously IPCC reports assumed that recent solar activity was insignificant for climate change, and that the same would apply to activity in the near future.

“Significant effect”

However, researchers from the Physical Meteorological Observatory Davos (PMOD), the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG), ETH Zurich and the University of Bern are now qualifying this assumption. Their elaborate model calculations now provide a robust estimate of the contribution that the sun is expected to make to temperature change in the next 100 years and a significant effect is apparent.

They expect the Earth’s temperature to fall by half a degree when solar activity reaches its next minimum.

Project head Werner Schmutz, who is also Director of PMOD, says this reduction in temperature is significant and believes it could win valuable time if solar activity declines and slows the pace of global warming a little.

Strong fluctuations could explain past climate

At the end of March, the researchers working on the project will meet in Davos for a conference to discuss the final results. The project brought together various research institutions’ capabilities in terms of climate effect modelling. PMOD calculated what is known as “radiative forcing” taking account of particle as well as electromagnetic radiation, ETH Zurich worked out its further effects in the Earth’s atmosphere and the University of Bern investigated the interactions between the atmosphere and oceans.

Over a decade ago, with typical hubris, George Soros bragged, that he “is the Pope’s boss, now.” It appears that his boast became a self-fulfilling prophecy in the Francis pontificate.

The two most powerful men in the world joined forces to form a curious and troubling alliance. One of them, often referred to as the most dangerous man in the world, the other, the Vicar of Christ.

Within a few short months of Argentine Bergoglio’s papal election, the Soros inner circle was firmly entrenched at the Vatican, calling the shots, drafting documents, setting the Soros political agenda with the power and moral persuasion of the Vatican. The global eco movement finally found their critical missing component, the voice of moral authority. The greenies can now deposit their feckless leaders, Al Gore, Leo DiCaprio and Michael Moore in the recycle bin.

As the recent WIKILEAKS Soros data dump demonstrates, the billionaire Soros’ tentacles entangle policies and create chaos in countries around the globe through his legions of operatives at his Open Society philanthropies. His money funds extremist groups seeking to topple capitalism, and promote radical environmentalism global order. His coterie of advisors spans the globe in positions of influence and power, carrying out his radical agenda.

Although Open Society funds radical Catholic groups, Soros was unable to capture the papacy as his ultimate prize in world domination because the two previous conservative Popes steadfastly opposed his radical agenda. Until now.

The environmental movement desperately needed a new dazzling demagogue to bolster its sputtering global warming cause and silence its critics under pain of criminal felonies or mortal sin.

On March 13, 2013, with the sudden and unexpected regime change in Vatican City, Soros and his UN operatives understood that the climate instantly warmed and opportunities abounded with the new leftist Argentine pontiff. George Soros could not have imagined a more perfect partner on the world stage, one he has been searching for his entire career: a major religious leader pontificating as the moral authority for the environmental, borderless countries, mass migration, and pro-Islamic movements.

Enter, Jorge Bergoglio, the smiling, all merciful Argentine. Within weeks of the Francis election, Soros’ collaborator, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon paid the obligatory courtesy visit to the new pontiff, and Moon knew something had dramatically changed at the Vatican. After his papal visit, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon announced to the world, “We discussed a need to advance social justice and accelerate the world to meet MDGs and the Sustainable Development Goals. (SDGs) We also talked about the need for all of us and the world to advance the dignity and human rights, especially for women and girls.”Shockingly, the newly elected Vicar of Christ seemingly blessed the radical pro-abortion MDGs and SDGs, but this was only the beginning of the Soros coup at the Holy See.

In the words of UN Foundation (another Soros beneficiary) Vice Chair Timothy Wirth, famously known for his condom tree at his previous State Department post said: “We’ve never seen a pope do anything like this. No single individual has as much global sway as he does. What he is doing will resonate in the government of any country that has a leading Catholic constituency.”

The friendly papal reception resonated among the global elites. Alleluia! Francis gave the green light to the controversial abortion laden, gender bending, feminist driven Millenium Development Goals(MDGs) and their offspring, the SDGs.

Jeffrey Sachs, Special Advisor to UN Secretary General on the MDGs also enjoys a 30 year long economic relationship as a Soros stalwart, close advisor and grantee of Soros’ millions. Sachs headed to the Vatican to craft the blueprint for the Vatican’s rollout of the theology of global warming.

Immediately, the UN, through its Soros-infused stable of experts, began to dominate the Vatican agenda by silencing and banishing any opposing views on the science of global warming. Happily for Soros and the UN, Pope Francis only wanted to “dialogue” with one side of the climate debate.

The Soros Brain Trust at the Vatican-The Green Dream Team: Jeffrey Sachs, Economist, Director of Columbia University’s Earth Institute, Special Advisor to the U N Secretary General, and long time Soros collaborator and beneficiary.

Since 1989, economist Jeffrey Sachs has served as Soros’ peripatetic globe trotting expert, promoting his controversial “shock therapy” by lifting currency and price controls, and various other fast paced tactics to introduce countries into the free market economy with mixed results. Sachs rebounded with the assistance of Soros and heads the Earth Institute at Columbia U and reconfigured his skill sets as the UN poverty czar directing the Millenium Villages project, with the assistance of $50 million from Soros. Now firmly transformed as a poverty expert, and environmental guru, Sachs built his fiefdom at the United Nations with Soros dollars and transformed into a poverty expert and environmental alarmist, as master of global warming catastrophe handwringing.

Within three months of the Bergoglio election, Jeffrey Sachs, close Soros confidante, is featured as the premiere Vatican speaker, expert, author, and cheerleader of the Francis Eco Theology. Sachs became a perfect fixture at the Vatican, with 10 Vatican addresses promoting the SDGs. Sachs orchestrated the Vatican environmental agenda, by building momentum and consensus for the SDGs. With the input of many other Soros acolytes at the Vatican, they wrote the Vatican’s radical climate change manifesto, Climate Change and Our Common Home in anticipation of the coup de grace, the Papal Encyclical, Laudato Si.

Seemingly overnight, the Holy See became Ground Zero behind UN Sustainable Development agenda as climate change gained new spiritual status as the Francis theology of environmentalism.

Joseph Stiglitz, Economist, Soros Co-Author and Collaborator and Open Society Grantee, Member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences

He has been called the Soros economist and his point man. Not surprisingly, he and Soros co-authored books together. He is Joseph Stiglitz, who heads the Soros-funded Initiative for Policy Dialogue, which promotes the institution of “a new international currency” and of an international taxation system. Stiglitz also serves a key role in the Francis/Soros Eco Revolution as a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS) which housed and operates as the command center for the Papal Eco Plot. Stiglitz, like Sachs, serves as a long time Soros collaborator, consultant. Soros and Stiglitz often serve as co-panel members at major global conferences, and Soros provided seed money for another radical organization, Stiglitz’s Socialist International Group. Stiglitz and Sachs also co-wrote the Vatican’s radical environmental manifesto, Climate Change and the Common Good with other Soros allies.

Interestingly and significantly, Stiglitz also serves as the longtime economic advisor to Argentine President Cristina Kirchner and her husband, the former President, fellow Peronists along with Pope Francis.

Successfully embedded at the Vatican lurk George Soros’ closest collaborators to carry out his radical leftist global environmental strategy with the blessing and assistance of the Holy See. Yet, more Soros acolytes populated the Vatican.

The Soros/Vatican Mission Control: Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences

The Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences serves as the Vatican’s Academic Think Tank. Its Chancellor, Argentine Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, a radical progressive, was suddenly empowered to carry out his extremist agenda when his fellow Argentine Bergoglio assumed the Seat of Peter.

During 2013-2015, the Academy frenetically and effectively provided cover for the UN/Soros/SDGs plot that was hatched and implemented under Sorondo’s leadership as he opened wide the doors for the Soros allies.

Bishop Sorondo deflected criticism over the Vatican’s sudden and unusually cozy UN relationship. The testy Sorondo remarked in response to serious concerns that the Vatican was letting itself become a platform for the United Nations to promote its own agenda. Bishop Sorondo defended the UN and remarked, “the United Nations is not thedevil. Rather, quite the opposite.”

Sorondo seems to imply that the UN is on some mission from God. But, as the saying goes, the devil is in the details and the details include George Soros’ team.

The Soros Brain Trust of Sachs and Stiglitz led the papal revolt to promote the UN/Soros climate change agenda with the help of the other Soros benefactors.

The Soros/UN/ Cronyism at the Vatican

Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, Chancellor of the Vatican Pontifical Academy (PASS), sits on the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Advisory Council with Ted Turner and Jeffrey Sachs. Sorondo was recently honored by the UN Foundation, one of George Soros’ philanthropies, for his work promoting SDGs and Laudato Si.
Jeffrey Sachs, longtime confidante and collaborator of Soros economic brain trust, co-wrote the Vatican document,Climate Change and the Common Good. Sachs spoke prominently at the Vatican PASS at least 9 times on the climate change catastrophe. Soros spent tens of millions funding many of Sachs’ UN development projects in Africa.
Partha Dasgupta, member of PASS, co-wrote the Vatican document on Climate Change and the Common Good. Dasgupta served on Sachs’ Earth Institute External Advisory Board, along with George Soros.
Peter Raven, Member of PASS, co-wrote the Vatican document on Climate Change and the Common Good. Raven collaborated with the population control radical Paul Erhlich’s research, which served as the basis for the controversial and discredited book, The Population Bomb. He, too, served on Sachs’ Earth Institute Advisory Board, along with George Soros. Raven served on the executive committee of George Soros’ International Science Foundation for the USSR.
Joseph Stiglitz, member of PASS, and long time collaborator of George Soros, co-author of books with Soros, received funding from Soros for the Socialist International, and long time economic advisor of the Argentine Socialist Presidents, Cristina and Nestor Kirchner.
Hans Schellnhuber, newly appointed member of PASS, co-wrote the Vatican document on Climate Change and Common Good. He is a German scientist and a member of FuturICT, an organization funded by George Soros. He is also a vocal and strident proponent of population control.
Naomi Klein,anti-capitalist Marxist and radical environmentalist who was invited by Pope Francis to lead a conference on the environment in June 2015. Klein is a member of a George Soros funded environmental group called 350.org. Klein has been outspoken about the need to overturn capitalism and like, Sachs and Stiglitz, spoke at and supported Occupy Wall Street (Soros Funded) demonstrations in October of 2011.
Emma Bonino, Pope Francis met with Bonino to the shock and horror of Catholics. She is a prominent member of Soros’ Global Board of the Open Society Foundations, his major funding philanthropy. Bonino, an Italian politician, is also known as Italy’s female abortionist who has personally performed thousands of abortions, although not even a medical doctor. Pope Francis called her a “one of Italy’s greats” which is akin to calling Kermit Gosnell, one of America’s greats.

Climate Change, not Catholicism, on the Vatican Agenda

Sachs and his Soros allies timed their work at the Vatican with strategic precision. On May 25, 2015, the Pope released his eagerly anticipated environmental exhortation, Laudato Si, which called for the passage of the SDGs. On September 25, 2015, the UN scheduled Pope Francis to address the United Nations General Assembly, urging approval of the SDGs, which fortuitously passed on that date.

Francis proudly boasted that he hoped his environmental encyclical, Laudato Si, would be used to promote the passage of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in September 2015, and followed by the passage of the Paris Climate Treaty (Cop 21) in December 2015. Jeffrey Sachs acknowledged that Pope Francis and his encyclical “Laudato Si made the adoption of both the passage of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Sept. 2015 and the Paris Climate Agreement in December 2015 possible.”

An eleventh commandment is declared: Thou must reduce thy carbon footprint.

By the end of 2015, the Soros syndicate had delivered to its patron, George Soros, a 185 page global warming papal encyclical, passage of the SDGs, and most importantly, the green light to begin the implementation of the Paris Climate Treaty, global redistribution of wealth through carbon taxes on the industrialized world.

Mission Accomplished, Mr. Soros.

Soros and Bergoglio–a match made in the celestial ecosystems. Their carbon footprints align on many political issues. George Soros is the largest landowner in Argentina (half a million hectares) with more than 150,000 head of cattle, and he also owns massive Argentine financial assets. Jorge Bergoglio, the first Latin American Pope, the Peronist Argentine with a deep concern for the struggling Argentine economy. Two sides of the Argentine peso, one native born pontiff with deep Vatican Bank pockets, the other, a global billionaire power broker with even deeper pockets.

Both love power and chaos; Francis known for his infamous refrain “make a mess, create chaos,” and Soros for his cryptic “discern the chaos and become rich.” Both men understand that they emerge more powerful when institutions and governments are destabilized.

Jorge and George, identical political globalist ideologues: environmentalists, pro-Iran, pro-UN, pro-Cuba, pro-Argentina, pro-mass migration, pro-borderless world, anti death penalty, and, anti-Trump.

George Soros is now the boss of Pope Francis.

It’s an inconvenient truth.

Democrats and the Science of ‘Thintelligence’

Michael Crichton is a man, author, filmmaker, doctor, teacher and visionary. Crichton is the author of The Andromeda Strain and Jurassic Park.

Crichton in Jurassic Park wrote, “They don’t have intelligence. They have what I call ‘thintelligence.’ They see the immediate situation. They think narrowly and they call it ‘being focused.’ They don’t see the surround. They don’t see the consequences.”

Democrats suffer from “thintelligence.”

An example of Democrat’s thintelligence is climate change. In an March 9th, 2017 article titled 30 New (2017) Scientific Papers Crush The Hockey Stick Graph And ‘Global’-Scale Warming Claims Kenneth Richard writes:

There were at least 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in 2016 demonstrating that Today’s Warming Isn’t Global, Unprecedented, Or Remarkable.

As of the end of January, another 17 papers had already been published in 2017. 17 New (2017) Scientific Papers Affirm Today’s Warming Is Not Global, Unprecedented, Or Remarkable

Within the last month, another 14 papers have been published that continue to cast doubt on the popularized conception of an especially unusual global-scale warming during modern times.

Yes, some regions of the Earth have been warming in recent decades or at some point in the last 100 years. Some regions have been cooling for decades at a time. And many regions have shown no significant net changes or trends in either direction relative to the last few hundred to thousands of years. In other words, there is nothing historically unprecedented or remarkable about today’s climate when viewed in the context of natural variability.

What natural variability deniers fail to see is “the surround.” By not seeing the surround they don’t see the consequences of their actions to try to halt the natural variability of the climate. Blinded by thintelligence they push forward an agenda to reduce CO2 emissions (CO2 being necessary for plant growth), regulate water use, impose CAFE standards on all motor vehicles and worst of all use food (corn) for fuel (ethanol).

There are three indisputable facts about the climate:

The climate (weather) changes. If you don’t believe this just look out your window.
These changes are cyclical that adhere to nature and nature’s laws (natural variability). If you don’t believe this then why does the earth have a summer, fall, winter and spring seasons?
There is nothing that mankind can do change nature and nature’s laws. Man cannot control the weather (climate) by his own actions or inaction.

Crichton observed, “You know what’s wrong with scientific power? It’s a form of inherited wealth. And you know what assholes congenitally rich people are.”

Crichton warned, “In the information society, nobody thinks. We expected to banish paper, but we actually banished thought.”

We agree with Dr. Crichton.

President Trump has worked with the private sector to deliver tens of thousands of new jobs for Americans.
President Trump ordered the United States to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and negotiations.
President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum to clear roadblocks to construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum declaring that the Dakota Access Pipeline serves the national interest and initiating the process to complete its construction.
President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum to help ensure that new pipeline construction and repair work use materials and equipment from the United States.

CUTTING GOVERNMENT RED TAPE: President Trump has quickly taken steps to get the Government out of the way of job creation.

President Trump directed each agency to establish a Regulatory Reform Task Force to identify costly and unnecessary regulations in need of modification or repeal.
President Trump has required that for every new Federal regulation, two existing regulations be eliminated.
President Trump directed the Department of Commerce to streamline Federal permitting processes for domestic manufacturing and to reduce regulatory burdens on domestic manufacturers.

Trump Hits Reset on Obama’s Land-Grabbing Water Rule

President Donald Trump’s campaign to roll back the regulatory state continues.

Today, he ordered EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers to review and potentially withdraw their 2015 Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. This could bring relief to farmers, ranchers, builders, and businesses, along with state and local governments.

Under the guise of “clarifying” federal rules, the Obama administration tried to expand the jurisdiction of federally-regulated waters to include ditches, canals, collection ponds, and isolated wetlands, often far away from a traditional “navigable water.” According to the federal government’s own findings, this jurisdictional expansion amounted to “the vast majority of the nation’s water features” under federal authority.

“The 2015 Waters of the United States rule was essentially a federal land grab,” said U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President of Environment, Technology, & Regulatory Affairs William Kovacs in a statement. “America’s businesses, farmers, and other land owners and managers will be happy to see it reconsidered and properly withdrawn under President Trump.”

WOTUS would force businesses who wanted to build or make modifications on this land to require federal permits, and they don’t come cheap. Hiring experts and lawyers to go through the process of getting these permits can cost $155,000 or more, plus the substantial cost of “mitigation” requirements to offset the “damage” that development caused. That’s a tremendous burden on businesses, especially small ones. And that doesn’t cover the cost of any delays.

The U.S. Chamber is leading the legal fight against the rule [read here and here], which led to a nationwide hold on the rule in October 2015. EPA and the Army Corps will now reconsider the appropriate scope of federal control over waters and determine where the limits of that jurisdiction should be under the Clean Water Act.

President Trump ordering a review of WOTUS is welcome, but more can be done to prevent future runaway regulations from coming down the pipe. The Regulatory Accountability Act (RAA) would require federal agencies to employ more thorough analysis and transparency on the most-expensive regulations.

As I explained earlier this year:

If the RAA had been law, small businesses, and state and local governments who would be affected by the regulation could have petitioned the agency for an on-the-record hearing on the scientific and economic analysis of the rule and challenged EPA’s and the Corps’ claims about the scope of the rule, and why they didn’t consider more reasonable alternatives. The agencies would have to defend why they didn’t properly assess the true effects of WOTUS.

“If regulatory reform legislation like the Regulatory Accountability Act becomes law, poorly written rules like WOTUS would be subject to greater analysis and transparency. We urge the U.S. Senate to take action to make regulatory reform a reality this year,” Kovacs added.

Ryan Zinke Confirmed as Interior Secretary: Kicks Off Tenure With Pro-Hunting Directives

The good news for gun owners continued on Wednesday as the Senate confirmed NRA-backed nominee Ryan Zinke as the 52^nd Secretary of the Interior by a bi-partisan vote of 68-31.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) plays a huge role in opportunities for hunting and sport shooting throughout the United States. The DOI’s agencies include the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Its components manage some 500 million acres of surface land, or about 20% of the entire U.S. landmass, including Western Public Lands, National Parks, and National Wildlife Refuges.

The Department of the Interior sets policies for the use of these lands, including whether or not they’re available for hunting and target shooting, and the rules that govern these activities.

Fortunately, America’s sportsmen and sportswomen have a friend in Ryan Zinke.

A career Navy SEAL, Zinke learned to love the outdoors growing up in Montana. During his confirmation hearing on January 17, he noted:

“It was on these lands that my father [taught me] to hunt and fish and the Boy Scouts taught me the principles [of] environmental stewardship and the importance of public access.”

Chris W. Cox, executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, praised Zinke’s confirmation. “The confirmation of an avid outdoorsman to lead the U.S. Department of the Interior marks the end of a hostile era towards hunters and sportsmen,” Cox said. “The NRA looks forward to working with Secretary Zinke in the pursuit of true conservation that respects the rights of America’s outdoorsmen and women.”

To that end, Zinke got right down to business on his very first day, signing two orders to promote hunting and to expand access to public lands.

Secretarial Order. No. 3346 repealed the Obama administration’s parting shot to hunters, which had been a plan to phase out, by the year 2022, the use of lead ammunition and fishing tackle on lands, waters, and facilities administered by the Fish and Wildlife Service.

In addition to hunters and fishermen, the Obama-era order had angered the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), the umbrella group for state agencies that manage these resources.

AWFA reacted with “utter dismay” to the Obama lead ban, noting, “It does a disservice to hunters and anglers, the firearms and angling industries, and the many professionals on staff with the USFWS who desire a trusting and transparent relationship with their state partners.” The group characterized the Obama administration’s action as “unacceptable federal overreach” and criticized its severe and disproportionately rural economic impact.

Secretary Zinke’s statement on the repeal explained,

“After reviewing the order and the process by which it was promulgated, I have determined that the Order is not mandated by any existing statutory or regulatory requirement and was issued without significant communication, consultation, or coordination with affected stakeholders.”

Secretary Zinke’s second order, No. 3347, seeks to

“enhance conservation stewardship, increase outdoor recreation, and improve the management of game species and their habitat.” It recognizes recreational hunters and anglers as leaders in America’s conversation movement and invokes Theodore Roosevelt, who “loved the outdoors and vigorously hunted wildlife”.

Specifically, the order requires a report of all steps taken to implement a directive issued by President George W. Bush, “Facilitation of Hunting Heritage and Wildlife Conservation,” as well as a description of any barriers or impediments to its full implementation. These reports will then be submitted to the Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Council and the Sport Fishing and Boating Partnership Council to solicit each group’s own consensus recommendations for implementation of the Bush directive.

Using these reports and recommendations, the Department will then develop a further plan of action both to expand recreational hunting and fishing opportunities, as well as coordination, cooperation, and communication with state fish and wildlife agencies. Secretary Zinke will also appoint an official within the Immediate Office of the Secretary to coordinate and implement these efforts.

Chris W. Cox was in attendance at the signing ceremony for the secretarial orders and applauded Zinke’s quick action to undo the last-minute lead-ban, which Cox said “was not a decision based on sound scientific evidence” but “a last second attack on traditional ammunition and our hunting heritage.”

President Trump Orders EPA To ‘Zero Out’ Global Warming Programs

The White House is pushing for significant cuts to EPA programs and staff levels, giving a glimpse of how the Trump administration plans on devolving more control to the states.

The budget plan sent from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to EPA leadership calls for eliminating dozens of programs, including at least 16 that have to do with global warming and implementing former President Barack Obama’s climate agenda.

OMB also requested a 30 percent cut in grants to states and a 20 percent reduction in EPA’s workforce through buy-outs and layoffs. In total, President Donald Trump is calling for a roughly 25 percent cut to EPA’s budget — about $2 billion.

The cuts are laid out in a letter sent by William Becker, the executive director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA), to his group’s member state and local regulators. Becker said NACAA received the “pass back” budget information sent from OMG to EPA Monday, according to InsideEPA.

Democrats and environmentalists have opposed Trump’s budget cuts, and EPA union leaders are hemming and hawing about cutting staffing levels. Even some Republicans aren’t on board with cutting so much from EPA’s budget.

“They are operating at 1989 staffing levels. So you really want to be sure you are not cutting the meat and muscle with the fat,” Oklahoma Republican Rep. Tom Cole, who is on the House Committee on Appropriations, told Inside EPA.

“There’s not that much in the EPA, for crying out loud,” Idaho Republican Rep. Mike Thompson told The Washington Post. Thompson formerly chaired the appropriations committee’s subcommittee dealing with EPA.

What’s unsurprising is Trump wants to get rid of more than a dozen global warming programs at EPA, including funding to implement the Clean Power Plan (CPP).

Carbon Dioxide is the ‘Elixir of Life’

Kevin Mooney in his column “Group Defends Carbon Dioxide as ‘Elixir of Life’ in Climate Change Debate” reports:

Forget everything government officials, many media outlets, and “activist scientists” have warned about the damaging effects of carbon dioxide, because in reality there’s no cause for alarm, a group called the CO2 Coalition urges.

Scientists, engineers, and policy analysts who are part of the nonprofit organization turned out in force Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, outside Washington.

“Atmospheric CO2 is not a pollutant, it is in fact the very elixir of life,” Craig Idso, a science adviser to the CO2 Coalition, said during a panel discussion at CPAC exploring the benefits attached to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The CO2 Coalition, founded in 2015, describes its mission as “educating thought leaders, policymakers, and the public about the important contribution made by carbon dioxide to our lives and the economy.”

“Adding CO2 to the atmosphere enhances plant water use efficiency,” he said.

Increased levels of carbon dioxide could boost plant growth and make plants more resistant to droughts, he said. This could lead to increased food production, which in turn could offset projected food shortages.

Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore testified before the U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee on February 25, 2014. During his statement for the record Dr. Moore said:

‘There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.

‘Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species…It is “extremely likely” that a warmer temperature than today’s would be far better than a cooler one.’

Earth’s Geologic History Fails CO2 Fears: ‘The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming…When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time. Then an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today.’

Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore also stated that oil is the ‘most important source of energy to support our civilization.’ Dr. Moore said, “If it is the aim of ‘environmentalists’ to stop fossil fuel production and use, end fracking, end coal mining, end use of oil, then they are promoting a policy that would have disastrous consequences for human civilization & the environment. If we stopped using fossil fuel today, or by 2020 as Gore proposes, at least half the human population would perish & there wouldn’t be a tree left on planet within a year, as people struggled to find enough energy to stay alive…”

The New American (TNA) interviewed Princeton University Professor William Happer on the notion that CO2 is a pollutant and is the cause of climate change, formally known as global warming. TNA reports:

Physics Professor William Happer discredits the negative effects of CO2 on the planet and whether or not climate change is man-made. He also goes into detail of why the United Nation’s models are incorrect despite their overwhelming confidence that significant warming is taking place due to human activity.

John Casey, author and former NASA rocket scientist, has taught me three facts about the climate:

The climate changes.
The changes are cyclical.
There is nothing mankind can do to change these natural cycles.

As John notes the only thing that mankind can do is prepare for these changes using good science and the best climate prediction tools to warn us of the coming changes.

Honor The Earth: Trashing Capitalism in the Name of the Environment

Honor The Earth (HTE) was established in 1993 by Winona LaDuk e and the Indigo Girls music duo, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. LaDuke has served as the group’s executive director since its inception.

HTE’s twofold mission is to “create awareness and support for Native environmental issues,” and to “develop needed financial and political resources for the survival of sustainable Native communities.” Reasoning from the premise that capitalist economic policies are inherently harmful to the natural environment and to poor people, the organization maintains that “a sustainable world is predicated on transforming economic, social, and political relationships that have been based on systems of conquest, toward systems based on just relationships with each other and with the natural world.” Favoring a blend of socialism and radical environmentalism, HTE aims to “restor[e] a paradigm that recognizes our collective humanity and our joint dependence on the Earth.”

“With climate change quickly becoming a reality,” says HTE, “Indigenous peoples around the globe are feeling the [e]ffects of droughts, floods and other climate catastrophes.” To address these matters, the organization calls for the rapid development of “renewable energy” technologies in the form of wind and solar power, so as to “transform a highly inefficient and exploitative energy production system into one that is safe and clean, a transformation that would signify an era of energy justice.”

HTE condemns “the rise of a highly inefficient American industrial society on our lands,” a reference to mining enterprises in the heart of Anishinaabe territory in the Keewenaw Bay (an arm of Lake Superior) and the Mesabe Iron Range of Minnesota. Noting, in a similar vein, that the regions of Diné Bii Kaya, the Crow Nation, the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation, and the Powder River Basin are “home to one-third of all western coal reserves,” HTE complains that “this land has been exploited for over fifty years for coal mining.” HTE also opposes the oil and gas extraction method known as fracking, because “methane and [other] dangerous materials are released” in the process, potentially “pollut[ing] the aquifers that sustain the life of our communities in a way that can’t be fixed.” Describing the United States as a “highly extractive” society whose “highly inefficient” energy policies have rendered the earth irreparably “scorched” and damaged, HTE “is interested in the transition from this destructive economy and way of life, back towards land-based economics,” where “intergenerational and inter-species equity are valued.”

HTE strongly opposes the construction and/or expansion of oil pipelines — some of which would pass through Indian reservations — in various places across North America. Most notable among the projects rejected by HTE are the Dakota Access Pipeline (from North Dakota to Illinois); the Sandpiper Pipeline (from North Dakota to Wisconsin); the Alberta Clipper Pipeline (from Alberta, Canada to Wisconsin); the Keystone XL Pipeline (from Alberta to Nebraska); and the MinnCann Pipeline (in Minnesota).

HTE claims that “there is an epidemic of sexual violence being perpetrated [by oil-industry workers] against indigenous women in the Great Lakes region, driven by extreme extraction in the Bakken oil fields in North Dakota and the Tar Sands of Alberta.” The “context” of “this epidemic,” says HTE, is America’s “history of colonization, genocide, and systemic violence against Indigenous peoples, which has always disproportionately affected women and girls.” To address the problem, HTE “is working with a coalition of women’s and Native American organizations to convene ongoing hearings and investigations.” As its first action, this coalition requested a formal intervention by the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Important past campaigns conducted by HTE include the following:

The “Standing Strong for Carbon Regulation in New Mexico” campaign sought to severely restrict the degree to which utility, oil, and gas companies – which were allegedly “taking advantage of New Mexico families, low-income families, and minority communities by poisoning the air” – could “bur[n] coal and other fossil fuels” and thereby “releas[e] mass amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air.” To address the matter, HTE supported a petition that had been filed before the Environmental Improvement Board, calling for a 25 percent reduction (by 2020) in greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 levels.
The “Dooda Desert Rock” campaign aimed to prevent the construction of a proposed 1,500-megawatt mine-mouth plant in the Four Corners Region of the Navajo Reservation. By HTE’s telling, “Desert Rock would … emit 12.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide a year, the primary greenhouse gas causing global warming. Along with greenhouse gases, the plant would emit pollutants associated with asthma, pulmonary disease, increased rates of heart attack and stroke and increased rates of birth defects and developmental delays.”
The “Stop The Tar Sands” campaign called for an end to the extraction of crude oil from the tar sands in Alberta, Canada, on the premise that the extraction process was highly destructive to the environment and to public health. Said HTE: “The downstream Indigenous community of Ft. Chipewyan has unheard-of rates of rare cancers. The fish are not safe to eat, and the land is littered with toxic ponds and craters.”
The “Stop The Big Stone II Plant” campaign pressured the Otter Tail Power Company to withdraw its commitment to the construction of a proposed 580-megawatt coal-fired power plant called “Big Stone II” in South Dakota. By HTE’s telling, the plant’s coal emissions would inevitably “poison the air and water of the nearby Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate [tribes]”

World Leaders Duped by ‘Manipulated Global Warming Data’

We have been reporting that the U.S. Congress, political leaders from both parties and the American people have been feed false data that the planet is warming. Fake data has lead to investments into “green” programs to curb CO2 emissions. Government subsidies at every level for wind, solar, ethanol, electric cars and green businesses.

All of these initiatives, costing the American taxpayers billions, are based on fake data.

David Rose in his Daily Mail column “Exposed: How world leaders were duped into investing billions over manipulated global warming data” reports:

…A high-level whistleblower has told this newspaper that America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) breached its own rules on scientific integrity when it published the sensational but flawed report, aimed at making the maximum possible impact on world leaders including Barack Obama and David Cameron at the UN climate conference in Paris in 2015.

The report claimed that the ‘pause’ or ‘slowdown’ in global warming in the period since 1998 – revealed by UN scientists in 2013 – never existed, and that world temperatures had been rising faster than scientists expected. Launched by NOAA with a public relations fanfare, it was splashed across the world’s media, and cited repeatedly by politicians and policy makers.

But the whistleblower, Dr John Bates, a top NOAA scientist with an impeccable reputation, has shown The Mail on Sunday irrefutable evidence that the paper was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data.

It was never subjected to NOAA’s rigorous internal evaluation process – which Dr Bates devised.

In my April, 2015 column “Orlando, FL: John Casey Continues to Lead in Climate Prediction” I reported:

The prediction by Mr. Casey compares with NASA and NOAA, the U.S. government’s top space science agencies, who were significantly in error from their 2006-2007 forecasts, by as much as 100%, for the Sun’s energy output, using sunspots as an indicator. They had previously predicted this solar cycle would be one of the most energetic ever recorded with sunspot counts over 145.

In May 2007, Mr. Casey notified NASA that their prediction of a minimum of 145 sunspots for the peak of cycle 24 was “way off,” advising them that he predicted cycle 24 would have a peak of only 74 sunspots. NASA and NOAA solar experts confer annually on this sunspot number and since 2006, have been adjusting their 145 sunspot forecast down each year. NASA’s latest statement on the Sun also indicates the current solar cycle 24 was not the strong one they had predicted but instead was the weakest since February 1906. This is the least energetic Sun we have seen in 100 years.

The SSRC, under Mr. Casey has been leading the effort to warn the U.S. government, the media and the people, to get our country prepared for a coming cold climate. This now proven, declining energy output from the Sun, is what he and a growing number of scientists around the world say is the cause of this potentially dangerous climate change to a new cold era.

It is time to tell the truth about what is the primary cause of climate change – the sun. There are three truths about climate change:

The climate changes
These changes are due to naturally occurring cycles.
Mankind can do nothing to change these naturally occurring cycles.

World leaders, and more importantly American policy makers, must recognize that they have been duped.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is Wrong. Very Wrong!

It’s not everyday that you get to tell a world-renowned physicist that he is wrong. Really, really wrong.

Popular astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, a best-selling author and television personality, is a witty and engaging man — hence his TV popularity. Unfortunately, he’s also got a stringent political worldview based on atheism and leftist politics, and despite his style, his words often reveal the elitism that drives away those not of his political persuasion.

This was most recently revealed in a tweet to his 6.5 million followers (that is a very popular astrophysicist!)

That is an astonishingly inaccurate implication from a scientist — and note the tens of thousands of retweets and likes. For a man who is constantly promoting truth over what we want to be true — that’s generally a shot at religion — it is easily shown to be false.

But this is part and parcel with his worldview; varying degrees of a anti-Americanism, or maybe pro-globalism. But certainly not accepting the idea of American exceptionalism, despite overwhelming evidence.

Here are several areas showing Tyson is just dead wrong in his downer assessment of the past 45 years. And to a degree so is President Trump, in that America never stopped being great, and this shows it.

45 years later, quality of life is soaring

45 years later, extreme poverty globally has been slashed, perhaps the greatest achievement of the second half of the 20th century. In 1980, 43 percent of the world population lived in extreme poverty. But due to more capitalistic economic reforms and streams of technological advances — driven primarily by the United States — extreme poverty globally is down to 17 percent and continuing to decline, according to the World Bank.

45 years later, we’ve all but eradicated hunger and poverty in the United States. According to the Pew Research Center, “The U.S. stands head and shoulders above the rest of the world. More than half (56%) of Americans were high income by the global standard, living on more than $50 per day in 2011…Another 32% were upper-middle income. In other words, almost nine-in-ten Americans had a standard of living that was above the global middle-income standard. Only 7% of people in the U.S. were middle income, 3% were low income and 2% were poor.”

45 years later, the infant survival rate is up 70 percent since 1972. It’s still too high, but the decline has been precipitous.

45 years later, life expectancy has soared. In 1972, life expectancy in the United States was 71. Today it is 80. In 1966, average life expectancy globally was only 56 years. Today it’s 72, a 29 percent increase, according to Human Progress. Huge.

45 year later, the computers we carry in our pockets as smart phones are more powerful than the array of computers that put man on the moon. Our ability to google information is transforming knowledge. Even in third-world countries, cell phones are everywhere. There are 7 billion cell phone subscriptions on earth.

45 years later, pollution has plummeted in the United States. Between 1970 and 2000, the American population grew by 36 percent and energy consumption by 45 percent, but air pollutants decreased 29 percent. U.S. pollution has continued to decline since 2000.

45 years later, space accomplishments are breathtaking

45 years later we have a fully manned space station. Mankind has been constantly living in space for many years, now. That’s kind of wow.

45 years later, we have probes on Mars, tooling around the red planet of science fiction fame and sending back images and data. From Mars!

45 years later, we managed to land a robot on an icy comet barely two miles wide, 300 million miles away. Oh, and the comet was hurtling through through space at 50,000 mph. Pretty amazing accomplishment

One would think an astrophysicist like Tyson would think such things were pretty impressive, and not to be hidden in the periods of a snarky ellipsis.

And then there was this.

But he tweets things that are demonstrably not true. The consistency is that they fit a predictable worldview. He takes the position that since he is smarter than everyone else (which he might be, but smart does not mean right, and it sure doesn’t necessarily equate to wisdom) then we should all just accept what he says.

Well, no. And his tweets show why.

This final example tweet reveals his elitist gene in full bloom.

This is why worldview matters. While Tyson is an engaging man and trained astrophysicist, it is his worldview that informs the anti-American sentiments, from us not accomplishing anything noteworthy in 45 years to taking a shot at the most popular sport in the nation.

But worldview also may explain the example he chose from 45 years ago. In our long list since 45 years ago, none of them were high-profile, big government operations such as the moon landing. They were largely incremental increases of the market driven by private-sector capitalism.

And that is a truth unacceptable to some worldviews.

Scott Pruitt EPA Nominee: More Leftist Slavery Ended

Leftists’ hysteria and vitriol in response to Trump winning the presidency is escalating. Enraged, they vow to stop Trump at all cost. It occurred to me that what has really driven the Left insane, enraged and quaking in fear is Americans free to live their lives. Over the past 8 years, Obama transformed government agencies such as the EPA into his personal hit squads. Using these agencies, Obama incrementally repealed our Constitutional and God-given freedoms, while criminalizing and silencing dissenting voices. Leftists arrogantly assumed Hillary would win to take Obama’s slavery of Americans to unprecedented irreversible levels.

Trump is America’s Abe Lincoln, our emancipator. His election equaled him unlocking and pushing open the 2 feet thick, 100ft high iron gates of the Left’s government plantation. Overwhelmed with the anticipation of freedom, millions of traumatized Americans ran for their lives, flooding out of the compound, joyously running free in all directions. As they ran, visions of starting businesses free from Obama’s 4000 new EPA regulations and restored freedoms like raising their kids according to their conscience danced in their heads.

Frustrated enraged Leftist overlords (Rosie O’Donnell and other evil wackos) watched helplessly as the tsunami of Trump’s emancipated runaway slaves exited the government plantation. Leftist mercenaries have already begun capturing, beating, torturing and dragging back freed Americans in chains.

I want low-info voters like my professional electrician nephew Mike to understand that Leftists are a different species, Arrogantous-Superiorist. Though sighted throughout America, Leftists’ natural habitat is Hollywood, New York, LA and Washington DC. Leftists believe their superior compassion authorizes them to use their superior intellect to dictate how we inferior commoners must live our lives.

So now the battle is on folks. Freaked out Leftists are pulling out all the stops to stop Trump. Trump seeks to further our liberation. Ending Leftist government bullying will spark a new era of American prosperity; investors risking capitol, creativity, jobs and growth beneficial to all Americans.

There is no greater Leftist government plantation overlord than the EPA. Therefore, Leftists’ attempts to demonize Scott Pruitt, Trump’s pick to head the EPA, will be insanely vicious, filled with lies. Leftists hope to brand Pruitt evil incarnate. They will claim Pruitt wants dirty air and water for personal gain. Leftists will throw old standbys into the mix, racism, sexism and homophobia. They will claim Pruitt’s destruction of the environment will harm minorities, women and homosexuals most. Leftists foolishly continue to use their old school tricks to stop our new president.

Here are a few of many of our Leftist slave master’s unbelievable power grabs via the EPA.

While claiming to champion the little guy, Obama’s draconian EPA carbon regulations harm the poor and most vulnerable Americans.

And yet, stupid EPA manufacturing regulations hurt jobs and competitiveness. American manufacturers scolded the EPA. Paraphrasing,

“Look you arrogant clueless idiots. We create jobs that support our economy and build technologies which make cleaner energy possible. Poorly crafted regulations like your New Source Performance Standards for new power plants threatens both.”

Using the EPA as his enforcers, Obama’s illegal war on coal is projected to cost 125,800 jobs.

Unbelievably, Obama’s EPA is illegally confiscating privately owned land and dictating water usage across America.

For daring to challenge the EPA in court, an EPA official threatened to throw executives of HVI Cat Canyon Inc in jail to be raped by a black male prisoner named Leroy. Yes, this is the extraordinary arrogance and abusiveness of the untouchable government agency.

But folks, the most egregious dictatorial command of the EPA is that we embrace their religion of Climate Change. The EPA conspired with Obama’s DOJ to jail anyone expressing unbelief in their god (Climate Change). Yes, you heard me correctly. The EPA intends to criminalize disagreeing with them regarding Climate Change, throwing “Climate Change Deniers” in jail.

Meanwhile, Climate Change is a hoax.

Scott Pruitt will liberate Americans from the shackles of the Climate Change religious zealots running the EPA. Leftists have begun launching lie-infested fake news stories trying to destroy Pruitt. They will fail folks. Trump’s election marks a new day in America.

With Scott Pruitt heading the EPA, Americans can breathe a sigh of relief and say, “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty we’re free at last!”

Let’s Stop with the Carbon Con Already

The side that defines the vocabulary of a debate, wins the debate. So we could ask: as we fight the global-warming scam, why are we using the language of the scammers? It’s harder to combat “carbon” taxes, “carbon” credits and callow “carbon” appeals if we accept that at issue is “carbon.”

Calling CO₂ “carbon” is like calling H₂O “hydrogen.” Carbon is about as useful to a plant aspiring to photosynthesize as a tank of hydrogen is to a dehydrated man in a desert. Carbon dioxide and carbon are not the same thing any more than a fox and foxglove are the same thing.

If chemical formulas are meaningless and one element or atom between friends can be ignored, try inhaling copious amounts of CO. It’s also “carbon,” being in fact more “carboney” ratio-wise than CO₂. But carbon monoxide is poisonous to fauna and flora while carbon dioxide is plant food, which is why botanists pump it into greenhouses.

Likewise, would you like some chlorine with your food, sir? Sodium is poisonous; chlorine is poisonous. Combine the two — NaCl — and you have table salt. Chemistry is our friend.

It would be nice to think that the carbon crew is just being friendly and familiar. But not only would calling CO₂ Mr. Dioxide be just as inaccurate, there’s clearly an agenda here. Carbon, the primary element in coal, conjures up images of spewing sky-blackening soot into the air. It’s a dark brand of marketing.

In fact, I challenge those crafting “carbon tax” bills to call CO₂ “carbon” in their legislation’s text. They won’t because I suspect it wouldn’t stand up in court, as factories don’t actually emit carbon. The alarmists will either specify carbon dioxide or define, tendentiously, what “carbon” means for the “purposes of the bill.”

Of course, carbon isn’t really a villain, either. It’s the fourth-most abundant element in the universe, and man is known as a “carbon-based life form.” Given the latter, if extra atoms and elements and how they react with each other can be ignored when formulating labels and definitions, we could say that Al Gore’s birth was a carbon emission.

Honest people should reclaim the language and reboot the debate by rejecting “carbon” talk. As for those knowingly using the term for propaganda purposes, they should have a huge carbon footprint placed firmly on their carbon-based posteriors.
