Open U.S. border being exploited by 75 countries – including those with Ebola

It’s a simple statement so terribly appropriate for our times: “In a universe of deceit, truth becomes a revolutionary act.” Regarding immigration, we are constantly told we need to be compassionate and are un-American if we do not care about the poor kids seeking to escape crime and violence in their respective countries. However, a leaked report from the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) shows we are being lied to. It’s not just about children, and it’s not just Central America.

According to an exclusive report from Breitbart.com, “A leaked intelligence analysis from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reveals the numbers of illegal immigrants entering and attempting to enter the U.S. from more than 75 different countries. The report was obtained by a trusted source within the CBP agency who leaked the document and spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity.”

We should all be thankful there are individuals who will keep the American people aware of the threats. And I pray this individual will be safe — especially in this current administration.

Here are some highlights of the report, which you can read here:

The report shows that most of the human smuggling from Syria and Albania into the U.S. comes through Central America. Among the significant revelations are that individuals from nations currently suffering from the world’s largest Ebola outbreak have been caught attempting to sneak across the porous U.S. border into the interior of the United States. At least 71 individuals from the three nations affected by the current Ebola outbreak have either turned themselves in or been caught attempting to illegally enter the U.S. by U.S. authorities between January 2014 and July 2014.

As of July 20, 2014, 1,443 individuals from China were caught sneaking across the porous U.S. border this year alone, with another 1,803 individuals either turning themselves in to U.S. authorities at official ports of entry, or being caught attempting to illegally enter at the ports of entry. This comes amid a massive crackdown by Chinese authorities of Islamic terrorists in the Communist nation.

Twenty-eight individuals from Pakistan were caught attempting to sneak into the U.S. this year alone, with another 211 individuals either turning themselves in or being caught at official ports of entry. Thirteen Egyptians were caught trying to sneak into the U.S. this year alone, with another 168 either turning themselves in or being caught at official ports of entry.

Four individuals from Yemen were caught attempting to sneak into the U.S. by Border Patrol agents in 2014 alone, with another 34 individuals either turning themselves in or being caught attempting to sneak through official ports of entry. Four individuals from Somalia were caught trying to sneak into the U.S. by Border Patrol agents in 2014. Another 290 either turned themselves in or were caught attempting to sneak in at official ports of entry.

Of course I don’t need to remind you that Yemen and Somalia are bases of operations for Islamic terrorism.

But here are two other things to keep in mind. These figures do not include apprehensions from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – those figures would be in addition to what Breitbart reports. The other disturbing fact is Border Patrol agents admit they are not apprehending 100 percent of those crossing illegally. In this video we posted previously, former Border Patrol Agent Zack Taylor said as few as 10 percent are caught. Other estimates are more optimistic, but the fact is we do not know the precise number in any event – whether they are Islamic terrorists or bio-terror vectors carrying Ebola.

Sadly no one in the Obama administration is telling the American people the actual demographic breakdown of these illegal aliens. We keep seeing pictures and hearing about children but how many? How many are teenaged males? How many have MS-13 gang associations? These illegals are being secretly dispersed across America and the trend is that they do not appear for hearings.

President Obama, his mouthpiece Josh “Not So” Earnest, and Dan “Talking Points” Pfeiffer have stated that unilateral action will be taken by the end of summer. What does that mean? Does it mean the Obama administration will secure our border and begin deportations? Or will this president act against Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 of the U.S. Constitution?

This crisis is not “humanitarian,” it is a national security crisis. Our border must be secured and we should deploy National Guard troops to back up the U.S. Border Patrol. We need to patrol directly on the border and not offset some 50 miles.

We must open up federal lands for Border Patrol to monitor and not create gaps which are being exploited. Immediately we should be returning these illegal aliens back to their countries of origin and stop the dispersion into our country. Most importantly, we have to stop the taxpayer-funded benefits given to those here illegally, and stop the attempt to change terminology. They are illegal aliens by definition, not “undocumented workers.”

As we wrote here, this comes down to one simple premise: the rule of law. Either we are a sovereign nation of laws, a Constitutional Republic, or we are on the road to perdition. But we need to know the truth.

American scientist in 2006 called for using Ebola to exterminate 90% of the Earth’s population

The pandemic Ebola crisis is taking up headlines globally. Kit Daniels reports, “Despite the fact that doctors in Africa cannot keep Ebola from spreading, United States officials brought an affected patient into the country only days after President Obama signed an executive order mandating the detention of Americans who show signs of ‘respiratory illness.’”

“The first known Ebola patient on U.S. soil, Dr. Kent Brantly, was flown into Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, today after contracting the disease in Liberia during the latest outbreak in West Africa which has claimed the lives of over 700,” notes Daniels.

What is noteworthy is a statement by an award-winning Texas scientist who in 2006 advocated for the extermination of 90% of the Earth’s population using an airborne Ebola virus. University of Texas professor Dr. Eric R. Pianka called Ebola, “His preferred method of exterminating over five billion human beings was via airborne Ebola (Ebola Reston), because it is both highly lethal and kills its victims in days rather than years.”

Scientific efficiency to say the least. This statement reminds me of other scientists recommending the use of Zyklon B for a similar human extermination process in the 1940s.

News Weekly’s John Ballantyne wrote:

An award-winning Texas scientist was given a standing ovation after he advocated the extermination of 90 per cent of the Earth’s population by an airborne Ebola virus.

The University of Texas evolutionary ecologist, Dr Eric R. Pianka, was addressing the 109th meeting of the Texas Academy of Science at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, in early March, after the academy had named him 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist.

Present at Pianka’s speech was Forrest M. Mim III, a popular science writer and editor of the bi-weekly journal, The Citizen Scientist. He reported:

“Something curious occurred a minute before Pianka began speaking. An official of the Academy approached a video camera operator at the front of the auditorium and engaged him in animated conversation. The camera operator did not look pleased as he pointed the lens of the big camera to the ceiling and slowly walked away.

“This curious incident came to mind a few minutes later when Professor Pianka began his speech by explaining that the general public is not yet ready to hear what he was about to tell us. Because of many years of experience as a writer and editor, Pianka’s strange introduction and the TV camera incident raised a red flag in my mind … I grabbed a notepad …” (“Meeting Doctor Doom”, The Citizen Scientist, March 31, 2006).

Pianka began his speech by condemning anthropocentrism, or the idea that the human race occupies a privileged position in nature. He exclaimed, “We’re no better than bacteria!”

He argued that the sharp increase in the human population since the onset of industrialisation was destroying the planet. He warned that Earth would not survive unless its human population was reduced to a tenth of its present number.

He then offered drastic solutions, accompanying his remarks with a slide depicting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

War and famine were insufficient for solving global overpopulation, he explained. Instead, disease was far more efficient and swift. At this point, Pianka displayed a slide showing rows of human skulls.

AIDS took too long to kill people off, he explained. His preferred method of exterminating over five billion human beings was via airborne Ebola (Ebola Reston), because it is both highly lethal and kills its victims in days rather than years.

However, as Mim observed: “Professor Pianka did not mention that Ebola victims die a slow and torturous death as the virus initiates a cascade of biological calamities inside the victim that eventually liquefy the internal organs.

“After praising the Ebola virus for its efficiency at killing, Pianka paused, leaned over the lectern, looked at us and carefully said, ‘We’ve got airborne 90 percent mortality in humans. Killing humans. Think about that.’ ”

After he finished his address, the audience burst into applause.

With tens of thousands of illegals crossing the U.S. Southern border into Texas and California and little medical screening happening, is this the perfect storm for Professor Pianka’s “killing humans” Utopian dream? Time will tell.

Florida: August 2014 Advanced Placement Test Omits the Founding Fathers

The Florida Department of Education offers free Advanced Placement (AP) courses to students via the Florida Virtual School. All of Florida’s sixty-seven school districts, private and charter schools offer AP classes. Florida’s AP students take the College Board test to obtain college credits for courses taken in topics such as American History.

According to the Orlando Sentinel’s Leslie Postal, “Florida continues to be a national leader in the percentage of its high school students who tackle — and pass — Advanced Placement courses, according to a report released Tuesday. The state ranked fifth in the nation for the percentage of 2013 graduates who had passed at least one AP exam, meaning they showed mastery of college-level material, the College Board’s ‘10th Annual Report to the Nation‘ showed.” Click here to read Postal’s the full article.

This may be very bad news for those of us who learned about the Founding Fathers and America’s struggle for freedom in 1776. Florida’s students will be taking a entirely new AP College Board exam.

The College Board, led by David Coleman, the “architect” of Common Core is rolling out the new AP United States History (APUSH) course and exam next in August 2014.

So what is the College Board pushing exactly? John Aman in his column U.S. History takes a drastic left turn this fall: AP course ‘rewrites America’s past, cuts out Founding Fathers’, reports:

High-school history teachers nationwide will give their top students a dark retelling of U.S. history this fall, courtesy of the College Board, a nonprofit college readiness firm led by Common Core architect David Coleman.

The College Board – which administers AP (advanced placement) courses and tests – is rolling out a revised curriculum framework for AP U.S. history, offering the 450,000 students who take AP U.S. history classes a hero-free account of America’s deeply stained past.

Peter Wood, president of the National Association of Scholars, calls the new AP U.S. history framework “a briefing document on progressive and leftist views of the American past,” one which “weaves together a vaguely Marxist or at least materialist reading of the key events with the whole litany of identity group grievances.”

In the video below Marijane Smitherman a mother testifies against APUSH at the Texas State Board of Education meeting on July 18th, 2014.

Gene Edward Veith writes:

“Public schools trying to bolster their academic quality are turning to what they publicize as “AP and IB courses.” “AP” refers to Advanced Placement, toughened-up classes that can earn college credit. But “IB” is a different animal. “International Baccalaureate” courses follow a globalist, relativistic curriculum that many taxpayers would object to.

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the brainchild of British educator A.C.D. “Alec” Peterson, who wanted to develop a standardized global curriculum. Its purpose, in the words of the IBO website, is “developing citizens of the world.”

[ … ]

Currently, nearly 2,000 schools in 124 countries-with some half million students-are using the IBO curriculum. This includes 500 schools in the United States, each of which pays the Geneva organization between $5,000 and $9,000 per year. For that, IBO will provide the curriculum, give teachers special training, and even do some of the grading.

[ … ]

The IBO goal is the formation of students “who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.” Not just that other people can be right, but that people with differences can “also” be right. At the heart of the IB approach is a view that no actual culture holds truth.

The keystone course for the International Baccalaureate diploma is “Theory of Knowledge.” Not “theories,” but “theory.” While it is fine for high-school students to study epistemology, this is a course in postmodernist epistemology. This theory employs a “hermeneutic of suspicion” that undermines the very possibility of accepting any kind of objective truth.

Veith concludes, “It does take a certain kind of braininess to convince oneself that it is true that there is no truth, and it is no wonder that major universities-the patrons of postmodernist theory-are impressed with all of the young relativists clutching their IB diplomas. But this philosophy does not produce a good education; rather, it produces a mindset in which good education is impossible.”

Florida has fully embraced the AP and IB programs. No one has questioned if either provides students with a “good education” or if these programs are making a good education impossible. When education becomes an exercise in relativism then our state and nation are at risk.

Florida Solar Power: Free electricity? Not so much!

We  have all heard the line “if it sounds too good to be true…” Well solar power is one of those ideas that is too good to be true. Another favorite if it sounds too good to be true are the often repeated statements of President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry claiming renewable energy will lower our electric bills and create millions of jobs that can’t be sent overseas.

For an example of “too good to be true” close to home in the sunshine state, consider Hillsborough County, where the courthouse in 2010 was outfitted with rooftop solar panels, designed to produce 40% of the facility’s electricity, save $60,000 annually in electricity costs, and pay for themselves. The initial cost was $1.2 million, so by saving $60,000 per year, they would pay for themselves in 20 years – a nice, round number. Oh, and by the way, they were going to produce jobs. As part of the Obama Stimulus.

You believe this, right? Sounds good, right?

Well, not exactly. According to the WFTS News article “Solar Panels on Tampa Courthouse Fail to Meet Promises“, the panels are reducing electricity need by 15 – 18%, a savings of less than $2000 per month. At that rate, it will take 45 years for the panels to pay for their cost – if they last that long. As far as I know, there is no hard data yet on solar cell lifetime duration. Estimates range between 15 and 20 years. Solar panels deteriorate over their lifetime, so the $2000/month savings will be going down.

The cruelest blow in all this? Jobs: 12 of them, for four months.

Who brought this too good to be true miracle to pass? Well, you remember who brought us the Obama Stimulus Bill, as well as ObamaCare, the Democratic Party, which controlled Congress and the White House in 2010. They thought it was wonderful:

It is so wonderful to see the Recovery Act at work in our community, creating jobs and saving money” said U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Tampa).

This is a nice initiative that will allow the county to put a little money back into the pockets of taxpayers at a time that they need it most, and to create jobs,” said Castor.

These, by the way, were advanced solar cells, touted as being able to produce electricity even by moonlight. If this pie-in-the-sky Obama engineering doesn’t work in Florida, it bodes ill for other, more Northerly locations.

Obama came to Denver to sign the Stimulus Bill, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science – which, like Hillsborough County Courthouse, was fitted with solar cells. Denver’s system (200 kilowatts, DC) cost $720,000, and was estimated to cover 1 to 2 % of DMNS use. The chief technology officer, Dave Noel, tried to sell the idea to the board, but admitted, without the Stimulus incentive, 110 years would be required to amortize the cost. Colorado is a pretty sunny state, with over 300 sunny days per year, but it also gets a little cold and Winter days are short. DMNS has an online graph of their solar power generation; over the last 74 months, they’ve generated 16,448 kWh per month. At $0.10/kWh, that’s worth $1645/month. Compared to the initial cost of $720,000, we’re paying off the investment over a period of only 37 years. Less than 110 years, but still twice the expected life of the solar cells.

This defiance of science, engineering and good sense has been going on all over the world, furthered by faddish green enthusiasts. Thankfully, it’s htting the wall of reality. Germany is retreating, both in the face of economic reality and their dependence on Russian natural gas. Germany has 28 electrical generating plants under construction, powered by….coal. In some cases, it’s lignite (brown) coal, the most CO2-intensive variety.

Reality means nothing to the Obama administration, however. Monday’s Wall Street Journal carries an article on the Obama plan to help Africa, specifically Kenya….wait, is this ironic? Doesn’t Obama have some connection with Kenya? The article, headlined “Kenyan Wind Project Reveals Challenges to Obama Aid Plans” reveals that Kenyan farmers are reluctant to give up their land and homes for a wind farm. Perhaps they’ve heard that no electricity flows when the wind doesn’t blow – as the Germans have learned, the hard way.

al gore statement on icecapsLaugh of the Week:

The EPA was in Denver last week, taking comments from citizens on the new regulations to diminish CO2 emissions from coal and save us all from asthma, heart attacks, and other health hazards. Apparently, Al Gore has a fleet of ice cream trucks that he sends to occasions like this to hand out free ice cream to people suffering from the heat – omnipresent because of global warming. Hey, who doesn’t like ice cream, even from The Goreacle, on a hot Summer day?

The temperature in Denver was 58F, in a steady (cold) rain. Even free ice cream wasn’t a big hit. The Gore Effect strikes again. God really does have a sense of humor.

10 Things You Need to Know About Boehner Suing Obama by Elizabeth Slattery

Last week, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to file a lawsuit challenging President Obama’s failure to fully implement Obamacare. Specifically, the lawsuit will challenge the administration’s delay of the employer mandate—requiring many employers to provide health insurance or pay a fine—that was supposed to go into effect Jan. 1. It’s clear President Obama repeatedly has abused executive power to circumvent Congress and essentially rewrite the law, but this lawsuit still raises a host of questions.

Q: Can you sue the president?

Yes. Presidents enjoy immunity from lawsuits for civil damages resulting from their official acts, but they are not immune from all lawsuits. For example, the Supreme Court allowed Paula Jones’ suit for sexual harassment against President Clinton to proceed while he was in office. Further, members of Congress have filed dozens of lawsuits against presidents over the years. Most have been unsuccessful, usually because members fail to allege a sufficient injury. Since Boehner’s lawsuit will deal with implementing Obamacare, the suit likely will be brought against Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell and other executive branch officials charged with carrying out the law. It’s possible Obama won’t actually be named in the lawsuit.

Q: Who will represent the House in court?

The House’s Office of General Counsel routinely represents the House in legal disputes, such as suits to enforce congressional subpoenas or the Speech and Debate Clause. In the past, the House also has hired outside counsel, such as when the House Bipartisan Legal Advisory Committee hired former Solicitor General Paul Clement to handle the Defense of Marriage Act litigation.

Q: How will this lawsuit be funded?

As with past lawsuits, the House will appropriate funds to pay for the litigation. The Committee on House Administration will make public quarterly statements in the Congressional Record detailing expenses.

Q: Does the Senate have a role?

The Senate probably is not required to join in the lawsuit. Under the Supreme Court’s precedents, members of Congress have standing to assert personal injuries or direct and concrete institutional injuries. In Coleman v. Miller (1939), the Supreme Court found a group of state senators demonstrated a sufficient institutional injury even though the suit was brought by 26 members of one chamber.

Q: Why would the House sue when it has other remedies?

Boehner has determined filing a lawsuit will be the most effective way to rein in the executive branch. Other remedies do exist—mainly appropriations and impeachment—but they require the Senate’s involvement. The House could try to leverage appropriations to encourage the president to faithfully execute the law, but as Boehner has pointed out, the Democratic Senate could refuse to pass such an appropriations bill. Similarly, impeachment requires conviction by two-thirds of the Senate. Although Boehner’s lawsuit may face obstacles, it would not require Senate concurrence.

Q: What happens if Obama loses?

Courts routinely enforce statutory mandates, such as the express deadlines in Obamacare that the executive branch has “relaxed.” Concerns the president would ignore the courts likely are unfounded. Even though Obama has complained about his losses, “There is no case in which he completely refused to follow a Supreme Court ruling he lost,” said Todd Gaziano, executive director of the Pacific Legal Foundation’s Washington, D.C., center.

Q: What happens if Boehner loses?

Before a court considers the merits of Boehner’s lawsuit, it first must decide whether the House has standing to bring this suit. If a court determines Boehner failed to establish Article III standing (a constitutional requirement for all lawsuits), it would result in dismissal of the case, but it would not mean the court agrees the president acted properly. If the suit is dismissed, it’s possible a private party may file suit, although the lack of private parties is one reason Boehner says his lawsuit is necessary. After members of Congress failed in their challenge to the Line Item Veto Act in Raines v. Byrd in 1997, the Supreme Court struck down the law when the City of New York and a group of private parties challenged it the next year.

Q: Didn’t Bush issue more executive orders than Obama?

Yes, but that is irrelevant to Boehner’s lawsuit. Executive orders are directives issued by the president to run the various parts of the executive branch—ranging from George Washington’s proclamation calling on the militia to put down the Whiskey Rebellion to Harry Truman’s order desegregating the armed forces. Most executive orders throughout our nation’s history are perfectly appropriate and non-controversial. Boehner’s lawsuit does not address Obama’s use of executive orders per se. Instead, the suit will challenge his failure to faithfully execute the law. The American Presidency Project, which has cataloged every executive order, says Bush issued 291 executive orders, Obama has issued 183 to date, and Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the most with more than 3,500.

Q: Will this open the floodgates for Congress and the Executive Branch to turn to the courts to resolve their disputes?

No. There have been plenty of lawsuits brought by members of Congress against presidents and other executive branch officials in the past. The Supreme Court has been pretty clear that courts should not entertain “sore loser” suits where members of Congress sue over a vote they lost. This suit will not change the judiciary’s reluctance to get involved in political disputes between the other branches of government.

Q: Now that the House has authorized the suit, what happens next?

The Wall Street Journal reports the House “isn’t expected to bring the suit for at least another month.” The House Office of General Counsel and any outside lawyers that will be involved in the case likely are deciding which court would be most advantageous and drafting the complaint which will lay out specific allegations as well as the relief the House will seek in its lawsuit.

Why I ‘Heart’ Developers

To some who live in Sarasota County, Florida the word “developer” is a pejorative. For people like Dan Lobeck and groups like the Sarasota Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) having anything to do with a “developer” is like associating with someone infected with Ebola. Developers are pariahs and cause unspeakable damage to communities. These people complain from their company offices and homes in the very city and neighborhoods built by none other than — developers.

The worst crime any candidate or elected official can commit is to, heaven forbid, take a campaign contribution from a, dare I say it, developer.

A developer is defined as a person or thing that develops something. To read a short history of American real-estate development click here. Developers build homes, apartments, neighborhoods, hotels, theme parks, office buildings, grain combines, barns, hospitals, churches, schools, factories, roads, libraries, bridges, highways, railroads and entire cities. No one hates a software developer so why do some people hate those who develop their own land?

It is all about dirt control.

He who controls the dirt, a.k.a. individual property rights, controls the person, neighborhood, city, county, state and nation. Those who believe in central planning, designed to keep an individual or group of individuals (e.g. a company or church congregation) from real-estate development, want to, by proxy, control all of the dirt. These people work hard to put politicians in office who want to control dirt. They are against anyone who wants to control his own dirt and what he or she does with their dirt. I have even talked with some real-estate developers who want to control other real-estate developers dirt – a dirt oxymoron.

Florida is infamous for its draconian neighborhood associations, regional councils, regional planning councils and those politicians who want to control the people by controlling the dirt. From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to the local city and county commissions, its always all about dirt. Control dirt and you control the person.

Some argue that developers should pay their own way. What these people do not understand is that like any business, all costs pass thorough to the consumer. It is the consumer who bears the burden. Some argue that with increased development comes more traffic, but these same people are for density restrictions, which packs and stacks people into limited areas, thereby causing other negative social anomalies. They have a “not in my back yard” mentality when it comes to new development. They have their dirt but you can’t have yours.

Mark Shousen, writes, “In his classic work, The Spirit of the Laws (1748), Montesquieu expressed the novel view that the business of moneymaking serves as a countervailing bridle against the violent passions of war and abusive political power. ‘Commerce cures destructive prejudices,’ he declared. ‘It polishes and softens barbarous mores . . . . The natural effect of commerce is to lead to peace.’ Commerce improves society: ‘The spirit of commerce brings with it the spirit of frugality, of economy, of moderation, of work, of wisdom, of tranquility, of order, and of regularity.’”

For those who have emailed me while drinking your morning cup of coffee or tea in your home, built by a developer, or from your office, built by a developer, or from a Starbucks, built by a developer, I thank you for reading this column. I hope you will leave a comment or two about my musings.

Charlie Crist: Using the power of the pen for evil — a case study

Each Florida Governor swears to enforce the laws of the land. The governors role is as chief administrator and not law maker. In Florida a duly elected Governor takes the following oath:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the State, and that I will well and faithfully perform the duties of Governor on which I am now about to enter, so help me God.

Both Rick Scott and Charlie Crist have taken this oath. But have they kept true to their oath? That is the question.

When Crist was governor he used the “power of the pen” via Executive Orders to bypass the legislature and impose his “green agenda” upon Floridians. The EPA.gov website has archived examples of former Governor Crist issuing Executive Orders to impose his agenda:

  • In May 2008 the state legislature passed an energy bill that included a prohibition on the state DEP from adopting GHG auto standards without legislative approval. On July 13, 2007, Florida Governor Charlie Crist issued Executive Order 07-126, which requires the Department of Management Services to only approve the purchase of new vehicles with the greatest fuel efficiency in a given class as required for that vehicle to minimize GHG emissions. The Governor also issued Executive Order 07-127 (July 13, 2007), which adopted California’s GHG standards for motor vehicles.
  • On July 13, 2007, Florida Governor Charlie Crist issued Executive Order 07-127, which established statewide GHG emission reduction targets of 2000 levels by 2017, 1990 levels by 2025, and 80% below 1990 levels by 2050.
  • Executive Order 07-128, signed by Governor Crist on July 13, 2007, creates a new “Action Team on Energy and Climate Change,” to develop a “comprehensive energy and climate change action plan” that would lay out policy options and suggest strategies for meeting the orders’ goals and provide analysis of whether to implement mandates, voluntary standards, or market-based regulatory mechanisms.

When he signed these EOs gas prices rose and five coal fired energy plants closed causing electric bills to rise.

It appears Crist is up to his old proven tactics of bypassing the legislature in order to implement his personal beliefs upon all Floridians. According Brandon Larrabee and Dara Kam of The News Service of Florida report:

When former Gov. Charlie Crist floated a campaign promise this week to use executive orders on state contractors to boost wages for some workers and to bar discrimination against gay and transgender Floridians, Republican condemnation quickly rolled in.

GOP leaders in the Legislature issued a joint statement comparing the Republican-turned-Democrat Crist unfavorably to President Barack Obama and saying the proposal amounted to a power grab.

“Crist is lifting a dangerous page from President Obama’s playbook, saying he will do an end-run around the people’s elected representatives and single-handedly mandate policies through executive order,” said the statement, signed by the outgoing and incoming House speakers and Senate presidents. ” … Florida needs a governor who will work with the Legislature and not force his personal agenda on Floridians with the stroke of a pen.”

Larrabee and Kam point out that in 2011 Governor Rick Scott also used the power of his pen requiring all of Florida’s agencies and contractors to use the federal e-verify system when hiring. E-verify is a Department of Homeland Security system. According to the DHS website, “U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization. This diverse workforce contributes greatly to the vibrancy and strength of our economy, but that same strength also attracts unauthorized employment.”

Governor Scott used the power of his pen to enforce the laws of the land. Charlie Crist has a history of using the power of the pen to force his ideology upon all Floridians. That is a key difference between Rick Scott and Charlie Crist.

Pot coming to Florida: Is this the end of “No Smoking Zones” in the Sunshine State?

Floridians are prohibited from smoking in most public places. Go to any restaurant, school, hospital or government building and you will see “No Smoking” or “Smoke Free Campus” signs prominently posted. Since 1984 there has been a national campaign against smoking. It does not matter what you smoke, it is prohibited, in many cases by city and county ordinances.

That may all change if the Florida marijuana Amendment 2 passes in November.

Citizens of the Sunshine state may be subjected to secondary smoke from “medical” pot users. How is this possible? I spoke with Dr. Robert McCann about this issue. He is concerned if Amendment 2 passes that smoking pot in public places will occur. Dr. McCann asks, “Who is going to deny any person from taking their medicine?” If pot is dispensed for “medical purposes” what prevents a person from lighting up in a hospital, on a bus or airplane, in a restaurant or at an elementary school?

The only thing that would stop that person from lighting up in a public place is their respect for their fellow citizens. Would someone high on pot even worry about their fellow citizens? Many think not. Should a business deny a person their right, under Amendment 2, to “take their medicine” then the specter of a lawsuit looms large.

There are three things Floridians need to understand about Amendment 2:

  1. The language of Amendment 2 is so vague that it will lead to the recreational use of pot.
  2. Anyone, regardless of age, may obtain a doctor’s recommendation for using pot. There is no “prescription.”
  3. Pot can be dispensed statewide by pot shops, not just pharmacies. The devil is in the details.
  4. Doctors may recommend the use of pot for a broad range of physical conditions including back pain and depression.

Dara Kam from The News Service of Florida reports, “The [Florida] Department of Health held a workshop Friday as it races to meet a Jan. 1 deadline to implement a new law that legalized strains of marijuana that purportedly do not get users high but can dramatically reduce or eliminate life-threatening seizures for children with a rare form of epilepsy. Patients who suffer from severe muscle spasms or cancer would also be eligible to get cannabis that is low in euphoria-inducing tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and high in cannabadiol, or CBD, if their doctors order it.”

Kan notes, “Friday’s workshop — which started with a standing-room only crowd of lobbyists, lawyers and others — offered more evidence about how quickly a medical-marijuana industry has grown in the state. The department plans to hold another workshop after it publishes a proposed rule, though it is not clear when that meeting will occur.”

Goal of “gay” programs in schools: Persuade kids to “come out” early as homosexuals. Here’s how they do it —

Why are so many kids – many of them troubled – now “coming out” as homosexuals, announcing to everyone that this is their true “identity”, that it’s “who they are”? It doesn’t happen by accident. It’s carefully calculated by national homosexual activist groups pushing their programs in the nation’s schools.

This is the fourth part in our series on this year’s annual GLSEN Conference in Boston in April which brought together LGBT teachers, activists, and supportive administrators where they outlined their latest tactics for the schools. Part IIIexposed the transgender agenda in schools. Part II revealed their plans to push “gay clubs” in middle schools.

Students take in the GLSEN conference.

At that conference, there were kids as young as 11 and 12, and that younger age group was clearly the focus of much of the conference.

They know that the earlier they get to the youth, the easier their recruitment effort will be. Scene from a Gay Pride Week event in Boston.

The significance of having youth “come out”

Most people — certainly most parents – have no idea that a major focus of the homosexual movement is to persuade schoolchildren to first accept homosexual behavior as normal, even fashionable and desirable, and then move on to embrace a homosexual “identity”.

They use various well-honed psychological methods to do this. Youths particularly vulnerable to this are those who are troubled, bullied, have family problems or issues with a parent, or have been sexually molested. Younger kids in general are easier to seduce into this false belief, the movement understands.

Making the decision to embrace a homosexual identity, or “coming out,” appeals to their spirit of rebellion and adventure (and often a desire for attention), and has a lasting psychological effect on a young person. The youth is led to fully believe that he (or she) is completely homosexual, has been from birth, and even becomes angry when that is challenged. But in addition, the youth is easily persuaded to begin experimenting with  homosexual behaviors – which over time become addictive. And he or she becomes emotionally connected with the homosexual movement.

One of the favorite psychological methods of helping bring kids into this state of mind is to have them go through the possibly traumatic process of “coming out” to their parents. It helps solidify the “identity” in the youth’s mind, as the youth deals with the parents’ reaction.

Training teachers & activists – Workshop on “Coming out to your parents”

The conference had a high-profile workshop dedicated to the process of helping schoolchildren “come out”:

Coming out to your parents

Coming out to parents as LGBTQ is a big decision. Learn what to expect and get support. Interactive workshop and resources for participants.

Presenter: Pam Garramone, Greater Boston PFLAG

What is PFLAG? The national homosexual group that puts the most energy into persuading kids to “come out” – and then getting their parents to accept that – isParents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). It even goes further, to turn newly supportive parents into pro-homosexual activists. This also helps push the child deeper into the behavior and movement.

Pam Garramone, Greater Boston PFLAG director, mingles with the kids at Youth Pride Day in Boston in 2007.
[MassResistance photo]

PFLAG is very well-funded (from various US corporations and apparently some taxpayer money) and is very aggressive. PFLAG has chapters in just about every part of the country and is heavily involved with schools. Chapter meetings are held in locales (often liberal churches) around the country.

From what we at MassResistance have seen, kids at school often get steered in that direction by influential homosexual teachers, radicalized school counselors, and other kids in “gay straight alliance” clubs in the schools. This workshop was mostly geared to help them show kids who are in the process of “coming out” how to deal with their parents – or what to do when their parents simply won’t accept the child’s homosexuality as normal or permanent.

Garramone started out the workshop by telling the attendees that it’s not only “gay” but “LGBTQIA” (lesbian gay bisexual transgender questioning/queer intersex ally) kids that PFLAG works with.

She said that PFLAG makes over 200 presentations per year at middle schools and high schools across the state.  In addition to “coming out” support, PFLAG works with school administrators to make the schools “safer and more inclusive” for LGBT students.

The school presentations include faculty training sessions, assemblies, sessions with personal stories, and health classes, she said.

Handed out at the conference:

Pamphlet by “Out and Proud” homosexual group:“Read this before coming out to your parents.
The American Psychological Associationput out this terrible unscientific pro-“gay” pamphlet, “Answers to your questions about sexual orientation and homosexuality.

She said that kids don’t know if they’re gay or lesbian until they’re 10 or 11 years old, though they know their sex at age 2 or 3. But even gay or lesbian is far too limiting. She brought up the 50 gender options now being listed by FaceBook. It’s not just “binary” – people come in and out of phases their whole lives, she said. (Interestingly, she is admitting a contradiction: Sexual identity is fluid, but at the same time, people are “born” that certain way.)

When kids ‘come out’ PFLAG is ready to help

When kids decide to “come out” PFLAG is ready to spring into action. She said that PFLAG has 13 support groups in the greater Boston area, and provide “one-on-one support,” including phone counseling with parents to help them accept their child’s homosexuality (or whatever LGBTQIA identity). PFLAG also does group support.

She described the “phases” that parents go through when a child “comes out” which PFLAG works to successfully lead them through:

Shock – “No you’re not”
Disbelief – “I can’t believe this”
Denial – “You’ll grow out of it”
Guilt – “What did I do wrong?”
Expressing feelings – Listening, asking questions
Acceptance

Garramone said that PFLAG is working towards “100% acceptance” by parents.

She said that such intervention is critical because otherwise, when kids “come out”, 30% of parents kick them out of the house (and these youth make up 40% of all homeless kids); 50% of parents don’t want to talk about it; and only 20% are supportive. (Is this really true? Like most statistics cited by homosexual activists, these are likely not trustworthy.)

PFLAG’s well-crafted ‘coming out’ self-help book

PFLAG publishes a number of nice-looking but very devious and misleading booklets which they give out to kids in schools on various LGBT subjects. This 24-page book, “Be yourself” is a how-to book for kids to “come out” to their parents. It was passed out to kids and adults at this conference.

PFLAG publication given out to kids at the conference, and many other places.

Some quotes from the book:

“Coming out as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender (GLBT) youth can be especially complicated and fraught with questions.”

“If you’re a guy, your friends are probably talking about girls, and if you’re a girl, they’re talking about guys. And, while most people your age seem to fit neatly into expected gender roles, you may feel you don’t – or don’t want to.”

“Your school years are a time of figuring out what works for you, and crushes and experimentation are often part of that. Over time, you’ll find that your’re drawn mostly to men or women – or both – and then you’ll know.”

“Remember that your parent(s) are from an older generation – one that was more homophobic and transphobic than yours.”

“PFLAG can help a lot with this process. PFLAG and PFLAG members can help provide books, fillms, and information for you and your parents, and by providing contacts with other families who have GLBT children, or counselors who can help your parents work through their feelings.”

It’s a very slick process that can devestate a vulnerable kid for life. This is what parents are up against in their schools. But most don’t even know it.

PFLAG hands out its “Be Yourself” book to kids wherever it can. This

Gallop: Democrat minority women without a high school degree are pro-HAMAS

According to a Gallop poll minority women without a high school degree who are Democrats or Independents trend toward being pro-HAMAS. Gallop’s July 24, 2014 poll on America’s reaction to what is happening between Israel and HAMAS has some very interesting findings. Gallop’s Jeffrey M.  Jones writes, “Americans are divided in their views of whether Israel’s actions against the Palestinian group Hamas is ‘mostly justified’ or ‘mostly unjustified,’ but they widely view Hamas’ actions as mostly unjustified.”

This Gallop poll has three charts that make the strong case that low information minority women who are Democrats and did not complete high school are pro-HAMAS.

This chart shows more Democrats, and Independents, see Israels actions against HAMAS as unjustified.

This chart shows that younger minority women with less than a high school diploma are pro-HAMAS.

This chart shows that those who follow the conflict closely are anti-HAMAS. Those who do not are pro-HAMAS. This chart indicates that the pro-HAMAS media bias is not having an impact on those who follow the conflict.

he8v9hotm02fihj_g9mbdw

It appears from this poll that low information Democrat/Independent minority women without a high school degree are pro-HAMAS. Many speak about low information voters. This poll confirms this concern that too many Americans are disengaged from events both domestically and internationally. That is a dangerous and long term problem.

Dr. Rich Swier endorses Caragiulo for Sarasota County Commission

paul caragiulo with family

Paul Caragiulo with wife Nikki and daughters Sophie and Caroline.

It is rare that men of character run for public office. One man of great character is running for the Sarasota County Commission. His name is Paul Caragiulo.

Paul is a family man, first and foremost. He is a son, husband, father and the youngest of six siblings who was raised in Sarasota County. His father, a baker who immigrated from Italy to the United States in 1958, and mother, a homemaker, have made their home in Sarasota for more than two decades.

Paul is a fighter for individual property rights and empowering the people not government bureaucrats or special interests. Paul is a small business owner. He has been the victim of government overreach. Paul understands that the business of government is small business. Paul wants prosperity for his family, his two daughters and every resident of Sarasota County. Paul understands that the greatest threat to prosperity is central planning. Paul learned from the 2008 housing market meltdown that government is not the answer because it was government at every level that created the problem.

Paul has served as a City of Sarasota Commissioner since 2011 and brings that wealth of experience with him to the County Commission. He understands neighborhood issues, small business issues and most importantly human issues. Paul understands that his role as an elected official is to represent all of the people not any special interest.

I fully support and endorse Paul Caragiulo in District 2 Republican primary.

I ask that you support Paul in any way that you can, contribute to his campaign and most importantly vote for him on August 26th.

Republican Candidate for Sarasota County Commission reads tarot cards, palms and speaks to the dead

Perhaps one of the stranger backgrounds for someone running for the Sarasota County Commission, or any public office for that matter, is that of Lourdes Ramirez. Ramirez is running in the District 4 Republican primary on August 26th.

lordes ramirez

Lourdes Ramirez, Republican primary candidate, Sarasota County Commission, District 4.

The Ramirez campaign website has a short resume:

Raised in New York City, I received my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Iona College. I have worked for Fortune 500 companies marketing metals and semi-conductors. I moved to Sarasota in 1999. I’m currently the president of CONA (Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations), representing neighborhood interests throughout the county. Importantly, I strongly advocate a more fiscally responsible Sarasota County government based on citizen, neighborhood, and municipal interests. I have a proven record of listening to the people and becoming their advocate. My integrity, solid business experience, and common sense are well known. Eric, my husband, and I have been happily married for 14 years.

What is missing from her campaign website is her most recent “solid business experience.” According to Ramirez’s Linked in profile she owned the “specialty retail shop” Isle of Avalon from from March 2005 to February 2010. Her Sarasota 2013-2014 business license shows she is currently a practicing Fortune Teller/Reader.  The Isle of Avalon is the Druidic site in Glastonbury, England. According to the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, “Druids share a belief in the fundamentally spiritual nature of life.” It appears so does Ramirez. The March 2012 edition of Natural Awakenings says this about Ramirez:

LOURDES RAMIREZ

Lourdes Ramirez, former owner of the Isle of Avalon, is a professional Medium and Tarot Card Reader. For years, Lourdes has connected with Spirit to deliver healing messages. For appointments, call Elysian Fields at 941- 361-3006 or visit her website.

isle of avalon logoRamirez hosted “Psychic Sundays” at the Tea House of Asian Arts in Sarasota. Psychic Sundays events included these topics: “psychic, intuitive, counseling, art, metaphysics, tarot, reading, new-age, metaphysical, therapy, wholistic, holitic, shaman, inspiring, conscious, teahouse, asian, arts, transformation.” A shaman is a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of good and evil spirits, especially among some peoples of northern Asia and North America. Typically such people enter a trance state during a ritual, and practice divination and healing.

Ramirez did at one time publish The Avalon Herald on the Love and Light Psychic Healing website. The Isle of Avalon website is no longer active. However, The Isle of Avalon Facebook page states it was “a state of mind. A place of peace & healing.” Natural Awakenings has this information about Isle of Avalon:

ISLE OF AVALON

University Park (near Bonefish Grill)
941-360-3070

Inspirational tools for your soul’s journey. Books, gifts, aroma-therapy, candles, crystals and more! Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 12-5pm.

We wonder if Ramirez can read her tarot cards and tell us who will win the District 4 seat? Perhaps she has given up talking to the dead, although some would consider some politicians are zombie like. We need some aroma-therapy on the Sarasota County Commission. Crystals may help Ramirez deconstruct the county’s failed 2050 plan.

Sarasota county voters may want to go on a “soul’s journey with shaman Ramirez to a “place of peace & healing” or then again, maybe not.

Florida Senator Bill Nelson blames border crisis on budget cuts that he voted for in 2011

Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) responded to a constituent about the growing crisis on America’s Southern borders and the influx of illegals into cities and towns across the United States and in Florida.

Nelson responded on July 28, 2014 stating:

I’ve received your correspondence about the recent surge of undocumented children crossing the U.S. border.

Part of the reason we’re seeing this influx is an increase in violence associated with the drug cartels and people fleeing the region as a result. And part of the reason we’re seeing an increase in violence with the cartels is forced budget cuts made to the U.S. drug interdiction efforts. What we’re dealing with the children at the border is one of the consequences.

The law requires that we locate the families of these children and try to send them home unless they qualify for asylum. I’ve spoken with the administration and have been told that is what they plan to do.

As always, I appreciate hearing from you and will keep your views in mind. If you have any other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Sincerely,
Bill Nelson

Senator Nelson blames the increased violence along the border and the influx of “undocumented children” on “budget cuts made to the U.S. drug interdiction efforts.” What is noteworthy is that Senator Nelson voted for The Budget Control Act of 2011 (S 365) that is cutting these very drug interdiction funds. Senator Marco Rubio voted against S 365.

Nelson is blaming the crisis on something that he and Congress created – sequestration.

Senator Nelson then states these children will be sent home “unless they qualify for asylum.” He assures his constituent “I have spoken with the administration and have been told that is what they plan to do.” However, on July 30, 2014 Fox News’ White House correspondent reports:

President Obama is considering executive actions to reduce the number of illegal immigrant deportations, including issuing work permits to some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants currently in the U.S., according to a published report.

The Wall Street Journal, citing a White House official, reported that an announcement on any executive action is expected to take place soon after Labor Day. The paper also reported that the president began considering such an action after congressional Republicans said that they would not take up immigration reform during this session.

Obama has already exempted from deportation approximately 500,000 illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. The Journal reports that any new action could expand the protections to their parents or other illegal immigrants, such as those whose children have become U.S. citizens, who have been in the U.S. for a certain amount of time, or who have gainful employment.

It appears that Senator Nelson is lying to his constituents about what is happening, why and who is to blame? What do you think?

Interested readers may send a message to Senator Nelson, using the form on his website:  http://www.billnelson.senate.gov/contact-bill.

Will Florida’s 67 School Districts empower parents to decide what their children learn, or not?

During the 2014 session the Florida legislature passed, and Governor Rick Scott signed into law, Senate Bill 864. SB 864 took effect on July 1, 1014. All 67 of Florida’s school districts are now in the process of implementing the provisions of this bill. However, some question whether the bill’s intent, to empower parents and stakeholders, will be fully realized.

Sherri Krass, founder of Eye on U.S. Education (EUSE), has done an analysis of SB 864. Krass writes:

Senate Bill 864, sponsored by Senator Alan Hays, initially stated that all counties SHALL create an “instructional materials committee” consisting of parents and teachers. The word SHALL dictates that this must be done. Parents would be able to provide input into the approval of the textbooks used by their children.

Unfortunately, by the time the bill left the House and a “compromise” was agreed upon, the body of the legislation was “hollowed out” – where only a “skeleton” remains of the original legislation.  The legislation now states:

(2)(a) If a district school board chooses to implement its own instructional materials program, the school board shall adopt rules implementing the district’s instructional materials program which must include its processes, criteria, and requirements for the following, but need not be limited to:  1. Selection of reviewers, one or more of whom must be parents with children in public schools.

Therefore, the creation of such a committee falls within the domain of each County School Board.  They can choose to not have one.

The legislation does provide an “opening”. Parents can still insist on a committee being formed.

A date is provided when School Boards have to “certify” the instructional materials.  Textbooks must align with the “Florida Standards” – a pseudonym for “Common Core”.

The district school superintendent shall certify to the department by March 31 of each year that all instructional materials for core courses used by the district are aligned with applicable state standards.

But, parents can still reject a textbook and insist on another one. Textbooks can be found that align with the “Standards” and are not specifically written for “Common Core”. A major problem with “Common Core” are the textbooks that have been published for it. Rejecting these textbooks is a step forward in removing its influence.

Question: Will every school district empower parents and let them decide what textbooks and instructional materials are best suited for their children?

There are several indicators of a school district’s intent to empower parents and stakeholders in the adoption of textbooks and instructional materials.

  1. The establishment of a district Instructional Materials Committee, codified in district policy;
  2. Who selects the committee members, the Superintendent or School Board;
  3. The makeup of the committee (e.g. do parents or district staff have the majority of votes on the committee);
  4. Has the district established a fair and equitable process whereby parents can file a complaint directly to the local District School Board requesting rejection of a committee educational materials selection.

I asked Lori White, Superintendent of the Sarasota County Schools, if an Instructional Materials Committee would be formed and if so, when? Here is Superintendent White’s reply:

It is our intent to continue to participate in the state adoption process as outlined in the School Board policy 4.21. Our current policy requires that one or more laypersons participate in the district council. In most cases, these community members are parents with children in the system. Our School Board policy will be revised to incorporate the new requirements outlined in SB 864 regarding the process for a parent to protest the School Board’s decision to adopt a specific instructional material.

Krass wants to make sure parents are empowered and has asked Floridians to sign a petition stating so to Governor Scott and Florida’s legislators. Krass states, “EUSE suggests that a petition be submitted to each County School Board stating that parents want an ‘instructional Materials Committee’ to be formed.”

Krass has an online petition asking the Florida legislature to amend SB 864 to “require” that school districts establish a district Instructional Materials Committee. Interested citizens may sign the petition by clicking here.

Charlie Crist’s First Major Policy Announcement a Disaster

“Former Gov. Charlie Crist on Tuesday [July 29th] unveiled one of the first concrete policy proposals in his campaign to reclaim his old job, promising to use the state’s contracting power to boost wages for some workers and bar discrimination against gay and transgender Floridians… the plan relies almost entirely on the governor’s ability to influence state contracting. Companies that do business with agencies controlled by Crist would have to boost the minimum wage for workers to $10.10; face new policies on differences in pay between men and women; and be barred from discriminating against gay, bisexual or transgender employees,” reports Brandon Larrabee from The News Service of Florida.

This is Crist’s “First Day of Fairness” policy initiative. This policy announcement is a disaster because Crist does not understand the five basic principles of human nature.

John Hawkins published a column titled “5 Obvious Principles of Human Nature That Baffle Liberals” on the same day that Crist made his first major policy announcement. Hawkins states, “Liberals are forever struggling to understand the basic tenets of human nature that most other people just take for granted… Since it’s easier for light to escape a black hole than it is for a liberal to entertain a new thought, it’s probably hopeless to try to make them aware of what they’re missing. However, if you’re aware of the mistakes they habitually make, you may at least be able to keep more open-minded people from following them over a cliff.”

Republicans followed Crist over a cliff when they elected him governor. Let’s hope Democrats are smarter and more open-minded than that?

What are the 5 obvious principles of human nature that Crist ignores? Here is the short description of each principle as presented by Hawkins:

  1. People respond to incentives: This isn’t just Humanity 101; it’s Life On Earth 101. Want to teach a dog a trick? Get him to do the trick and then pet him on the head and give him a treat. Repeat it enough times and you can get the dog to sit, roll over, and give a high-five on command.
  2. Personal responsibility is good for people: The easiest way to foul anything up is to put someone in charge of it who won’t pay any price if it goes wrong. That’s one of the many reasons children are so hopelessly incompetent compared to adults. They’re not earning money, they’re don’t have any big responsibilities on their shoulders, and if things go wrong, Mommy and Daddy are at fault because they were in charge!
  3. Human beings are not angels: As James Madison said, If men were angels, no government would be necessary.” Yes, people will come to this country specifically to get welfare and food stamps. Yes, people will commit voter fraud. Yes, there are an awful lot of poor people who DESERVE to be poor because they’re lazy, waste their money, or keep popping out kids by different daddies. Yes, there are just bad people out there who will murder you for no other crime than being American, Jewish, or even just “not Muslim.”
  4. Nobody cares as much about other people as they do for themselves: The modern Left’s intellectual forefathers in the Soviet Union never could wrap their heads around this one. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” may sound nice in theory, but in principle it can never work because of the ugly truth about human nature.
  5. Men and women are different: Rather famously, Time Magazine did a cover story in 1992 called, “Why are men and women different? It isn’t just upbringing. New studies show they are born that way.” Congrats to the liberal who finally figured something out in 1992 that cavemen who didn’t know how to make fire already grasped instinctively.

Read Hawkins full article by clicking here.

Crist in his first major policy announcement violates all five of these principles of human nature. Will Democrats follow him over the cliff?

EDITORS NOTE: The featured image is an edited graphic of an interview Charlie Crist had with the LGBT magazine Watermark. In the interview Crist now supports big government, unions, homosexuals and abortion. He states, “As a Republican, on social issues I always felt I was a round peg in a square hole. I just didn’t fit. But I tried, until I couldn’t do it any more… until I had to say, ‘Enough is enough.’” Crist got that right.
