Hillary Clinton and DNC Embrace Gun Control at Philadelphia Convention

If there was any uncertainty about the animosity Hillary Clinton and the elites of her party have toward America’s gun owners, those doubts were conclusively resolved by this week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA. Again and again, the convention’s organizers made sure the issue of “gun violence” was front and center, even though – with more guns being sold than at any time in American historythe U.S. homicide rate remains at a historic low.

President Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America” has been so thorough and dramatic in other ways that it seems America’s gun owners and outdoor sporting traditions are virtually all that remain of a country many remember from childhood. No wonder, then, the “gun lobby” – Clinton-speak for NRA and its millions of members and supporters – was the subject of so much attention and abuse.

Let’s not mince words. Hillary Clinton does not believe in the Second Amendment. She does not believe in the U.S. Supreme Court decision that recognized a fundamental, constitutional right to have a firearm in one’s own home for self-defense. What she does believe in is the confiscatory gun control policies of Australia, a regime that so demonized and abused gun owners that a territorial “public service announcement” even mocked them with the specter of a prison sentence should they fail to comply.

That’s the Hillary Clinton and national Democratic Party of today. How would they behave if they exercised authority without the restraining hand of a strong opposition party and of grassroots organizations like the NRA to hold them accountable? Look no further than Australia and Great Britain, where private ownership of firearms for self-defense has been effectively abolished, or even California, where every legislative session brings ever more hackneyed and superfluous gun control to suppress lawful firearm ownership.

But wait. Weren’t newspapers reporting that Hillary Clinton won’t “repeal the Second Amendment”? Isn’t that what she said fifty minutes into her monotonous, droning acceptance speech that seemed to promise American voters everything and nothing, from every point of view, all at the same time?

How much more does it need to be said? Hillary Clinton – infamous across the political spectrum and amongst broad demographics for her dishonesty – never speaks with more duplicity than when talking about the Second Amendment.

But don’t take our word for it. The national Democratic Party has clear marching order for how its members are supposed to articulate their stance on guns. As an article on Politico’s website explained, “[R]epresentatives from a broad mix of progressive groups sat around a table [the week before the convention] at the Washington offices of Global Strategy Group, where they received a tutorial on how — and how not — to talk about guns.” Members are not supposed to talk about “gun control” but “gun violence prevention.” They are supposed to invoke “common sense.” They are instructed to appeal to emotion with “victim and survivor stories” but not to “[o]verload the argument with numbers” (which of course don’t favor them). They are even told to lie, by characterizing intentional limits to the sweep of gun control laws as “loopholes” and by decrying a “new normal” of “gun violence” that statistics refute.

All this and more is outlined in a glossy booklet produced by the Gabby Giffords anti-gun group, Americans For Responsible Solutions and, according to the Politico article, “distributed to every House Democrat ….”

What does this all really mean? We can’t provide a better explanation than was offered by Mary Bayer, who The Daily Caller described as “a former Democratic delegate and a volunteer organizer for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.” Bayer was caught on tape speaking to an undercover journalist posing as a gun control advocate. Bayer confirmed elements of the speech code in response to questions, but when asked outright if Hillary Clinton would support banning guns, Bayer answered, “Oh, for sure.” Believing she was counseling a fellow traveler, Bayer explained why the party must nevertheless couch its gun control agenda in more benign, focus-group tested phrases, “You say [expletive] like that and people will buy into it.”

And so Hillary Clinton did say “[expletive] like that” in her nomination acceptance speech on Wednesday. “I’m not here to repeal the Second Amendment,” she said (as if any president has the unilateral authority to amend the Constitution). “I’m not here to take away your guns,” she insisted. “I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place.” She reminded viewers, “You heard, you saw, family members of people killed by gun violence” (although she omitted the fact that some of those incidents were determined, including by Obama’s Department of Justice, to involve acts of defensive force). “You heard, you saw,” Clinton said, “family members of police officers killed in the line of duty because they were outgunned by criminals” (cravenly ambushed, yes, outgunned, no). She offered no actual solutions but referred to some undefined “common ground” she believes must exist.

Hillary Clinton’s predecessor and ideological compatriot Barack Obama has said similar things. And then came his calls to ban America’s most popular rifle. And the Administration’s actual attempt to ban one of the most popular types of ammunition for that rifle. And his appointment of Supreme Court Justices who voted against an individual right under the Second Amendment and for expansions of federal gun control. And the Administration’s use of banking regulators to try to drive gun dealers out business. And its gun sales to Mexico drug cartels, even as it cited narco-terrorism to call for gun control in the United States. And it’s latest measure to force commercial gunsmiths to fork over thousands of dollars annually to the U.S. State Department to register as “manufacturers,” whether or not they manufacture anything.

And the list continues.

“Fool me once,” the saying goes, “shame on you.” But, “Fool me twice, shame on me.”

There are, perhaps, American gun owners who were fooled by Barack Obama’s reassuring rhetoric before his second term. And there may be a new generation of American gun owners who are tempted to believe that Hillary Clinton will behave moderately in pursuit of “gun violence prevention” and “common sense” gun restrictions.

But if they’re fooled this time, there may not be a second time. After this week’s convention, the consensus of the Democratic Party elite has been laid bare. And this may well be the last chance American gun owners will get to safeguard their rights.

DNC Days 2 & 3: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag

Saul Alinsky in his Rules for Radicals wrote in RULE 7:

A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Don’t become old news.

As Bernie Sanders unceremoniously leaves the Democratic Party to become an Independent once again, we take a look at the some of speakers who appeared at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on days 2 and 3.

The DNC is using tactics that drag on too long and have become a drag. Is the DNC old news?

Their idea appears to be to bring on stage the same rhetoric Americans have heard under Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Victims take the stage, make a statement but present no new tactics to solve the issue that caused their victim-hood. Be it on the economy, under and unemployment, crime, mass shootings, poverty, the national debt, national security, domestic policy and fighting terrorists domestically and overseas the DNC presents no new tactics let alone a strategy.

A series of short presentations, interspersed with Democratic Party campaign ads and ending with featured speakers such as Bill Clinton on day 2 and Barack Obama on day 3 is the same old same old.

The DNC is now facing a tough race and has pulled out all the usual suspects. What Saul Alinsky called “old saws.”

Day 2 saw cop haters (Mothers of the Movement) and a serial rapist (Bill Clinton) speak. Day 3 featured anti-Second Amendment gun haters (Bloomberg, et al) and a failed president (Barack Obama). Harsh words to be sure but the truth, when told, presents a harsh reality.

Hating guns, hating law enforcement, hating Republicans, hating Donald J. Trump is becoming a drag.

The primaries have shown that this does not inspire the base and attacking Trump only strengthens him.

As Alinsky wrote, “Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.”

Democrats are out of new tactics. They just keep using the old ones and expect different results.

Hillary’s ‘Superpredators’ and ‘Mothers of the Movement’ speakers at the DNC Convention

In 1996 Hillary Clinton was touting her husband’s efforts to stop crime and violence in America. She talked about the growth of gangs linked to drugs and crime. In a speech she praised her husband’s 1994 initiative to put 100,000 new law enforcement officers on the streets of America.

She called those lawless gang members “superpredators.”

Here is the complete CSPAN clip of Hillary Clinton’s 1996 reference to “superpredators:

Fast forward to the 2016 Democratic National Convention and a different Hillary Clinton. A Hillary Clinton who has approved the appearance of mothers of sons whom she once called superpredators.

The convention’s schedule lists the group “Mothers of the Movement” as featured speakers on Tuesday, July 25, alongside former President Bill Clinton. Patrick Hogan from Fusion reports:

Having the “Mothers of the Movement” speak on the same night as Bill Clinton, however, is an interesting choice, given that the former president’s policies on welfare and crime have made him a particular target of that movement. He has also had several highly publicized and acrimonious encounters with protesters during the 2016 campaign.

The Daily Wire notes, ” These [Mothers of the Movement] are the same people who will cheer wildly when the Democrats unveil their latest round of absurd pseudo-victims in order to target police at the DNC in Philadelphia.” Here is the list of Mothers of the Movement speakers:

Sybrina Fulton, Mother Of Trayvon Martin. The Democrats have attempted to play the Martin’s killing as a case-in-point of white police racism. There are just three problems: first, the man who shot him, George Zimmerman, was not white; second, George Zimmerman was not a cop; third, Trayvon Martin was by all available evidence sitting atop Zimmerman’s prone body and slamming his head into the concrete when Zimmerman shot him. Zimmerman was not only acquitted of a murder charge, the Department of Justice couldn’t find anything to charge him for either.

Lezley McSpadden, Mother Of Michael Brown. Michael Brown was a thug who strong-arm robbed a convenience store, then punched Officer Darren Wilson, tried to grab his gun and shoot him, and finally tried to charge him before being shot. This is true according to witness testimony; even Eric Holder’s DOJ could not find something wrong with the shooting. That didn’t stop the left from manufacturing from whole cloth a narrative of evil white police officers shooting black men surrendering by shouting “Hands up, don’t shoot!”

Gwen Carr, Mother Of Eric Garner. Eric Garner was not murdered by police. He resisted arrest and was placed in a submission hold by the cops; he then died of a heart attack because he was dramatically overweight. Garner had a long history of health issues ranging from diabetes to sleep apnea to asthma so bad that he had to quit a city job. Garner shouldn’t have died over selling “loosies,” but blaming his death on cop racism is asinine.

Maria Hamilton, Mother Of Dontre Hamilton. This case isn’t a household name because Hamilton grabbed an officer’s baton and hit him in the neck with it before the officer shot him. The officer was fired because Hamilton was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic.

Lucia McBath, Mother Of Jordan Davis. Jordan Davis was murdered by Michael David Dunn at a gas station in Florida. Davis was playing his music loudly in his car; Dunn confronted him, then got a gun and shot 10 rounds into the car. Davis was convicted of first degree murder. So what exactly is the problem with the criminal justice system or police, then?

Geneva Reed-Veal, Mother Of Sandra Bland. Sandra Bland committed suicide while in police custody. Rumors of an evil police murder and coverup circulated on the internet, but there was no evidence to back any of them.

Donald Trump stated during his acceptance speech warned,

[I]f you want to hear the corporate spin, the carefully-crafted lies, and the media myths — the Democrats are holding their convention next week.

It appears the DNC Convention will begin with those who hate law and order, something Hillary and her husband Bill once supported. But no longer.

For Hillary politics certainly makes for strange bedfellows.

The CBS Cover-up of ‘Hillary Rodham Clinton’s war on gun rights’

BELLEVUE, Wash. /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Second Amendment Foundation today condemned attempts by the agenda-driven media, led by CBS, to provide cover for Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton’s war on gun rights by trying to debunk Republican Donald Trump’s statement Thursday night that Clinton “wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment.”

Donald Trump during his acceptance speech warned,

[I]f you want to hear the corporate spin, the carefully-crafted lies, and the media myths — the Democrats are holding their convention next week.

“CBS News and others argue that Trump’s allegation is not true, and that ‘Clinton has spoken up for Second Amendment rights on several occasions,'” noted SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “They are being disingenuous at best, and they know it.

“More than a year ago,” he recalled, “Clinton made gun control a cornerstone of her campaign. She talked about using Australia’s gun confiscation as something that might be considered. She told a private fund raiser last October that she thinks the Supreme Court was wrong on the Second Amendment, and in an interview withGeorge Stephanopoulos, she even questioned whether the Second Amendment protects an individual right.

“While admitting that Clinton wants to renew the ban on modern sporting rifles and repeal a law that protects firearms manufacturers from frivolous harassment lawsuits, the official media spin today is that she’s never actually said she would abolish the Second Amendment,” Gottlieb stated. “That’s like saying an arsonist really doesn’t intend to burn a building, even though he’s splashing gasoline on the walls.

“The media has adopted the anti-gun lobby’s lexicon,” he added. “They routinely use deceptive terms like ‘gun safety’ and ‘gun violence prevention’ when they are really talking about gun control or gun prohibition. It is intellectually dishonest and we’re going to call them on it.”

He said SAF will soon launch a “Media Action Plan” to counter what he calls “rapidly growing anti-gun propaganda in the news media.”

“The media wants to build a wall around Hillary Clinton,” he said, “protecting her anti-gun agenda from public scrutiny. We are going to tear down that wall, brick by deceptive brick. A right that is strangled by regulation isn’t a right at all, but a highly-restricted government-controlled privilege. The media is wrong to water down Clinton’s gun control agenda, and we intend to reveal the truth.”

ABOUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT FOUNDATION

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms.  Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.

During his acceptance speech Donald Trump draws 61 lines in the sand

Donald Trump “humbly and gratefully” accepted the Republican Party nomination for the presidency of the United States on July 21st, 2016.

The theme of Mr. Trump’s acceptance speech was to show the differences between him, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and the Democratic Party’s platform. Trump summed it up by saying:

My opponent asks her supporters to recite a three-word loyalty pledge. It reads: “I’m with her.” I choose to recite a different pledge. My pledge reads: “I’m with you the American people.”

During his acceptance speech Mr. Trump drew clear domestic and national security policy lines in the sand. Here are the lines in the sand from Mr. Trump’s acceptance speech:

  1. [W]e will lead our country back to safety, prosperity, and peace.
  2. We will be a country of generosity and warmth.
  3. [W]e will also be a country of law and order.
  4. The crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon — and I mean very soon come to an end.
  5. We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore.
  6. The problems we face now — poverty and violence at home, war and destruction abroad — will last only as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them. A change in leadership is required to produce a change in outcomes.
  7. [O]ur plan will put America first.Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo.
  8. The American people will come first once again.
  9. My message is that things have to change and they have to change right now.
  10. I have no patience for injustice. No tolerance for government incompetence.
  11. I know that corruption has reached a level like never ever before in our country.
  12. I have joined the political arena so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people that cannot defend themselves.
  13. Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it. I have seen firsthand how the system is rigged against our citizens, just like it was rigged against Bernie Sanders.
  14. [W]e are going to fix the system so it works fairly and justly for each and every American.
  15. We will bring the same economic success to America that [Governor and Vice President nominee] Mike brought Indiana.Hi
  16. The first task for our new administration will be to liberate our citizens from the crime and terrorism and lawlessness that threatens their — our communities.
  17. When I take the oath of office next year, I will restore law and order to our country.
  18. I am the law and order candidate.
  19. I will work to ensure that all of our kids are treated equally, and protected equally.
  20. We are going to defeat the barbarians of ISIS. And we are going to defeat them bad.
  21. I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign [Islamic] ideology.
  22. We must have the best, absolutely the best, gathering of intelligence anywhere in the world.
  23. We must abandon the failed policy of nation- building and regime change that Hillary Clinton pushed in Iraq, Libya, in Egypt, and Syria.
  24. we must work with all of our allies who share our goal of destroying ISIS and stamping out Islamic terrorism and doing it now, doing it quickly.
  25. We’re going to win. We’re going to win fast. This includes working with our greatest ally in the region, the state of Israel.
  26. [W]e must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place. We don’t want them in our country.
  27. I only want to admit individuals into our country who will support our values and love our people. Anyone who endorses violence, hatred or oppression is not welcome in our country and never ever will be.
  28. We are going to have an immigration system that works, but one that works for the American people.
  29. We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration, to stop the gangs and the violence, and to stop the drugs from pouring into our communities.
  30. By ending catch-and-release on the border, we will stop the cycle of human smuggling and violence.
  31. Peace will be restored by enforcing the rules for the millions who overstay their visas, our laws will finally receive the respect they deserve.
  32. We are going to be considerate and compassionate to everyone. But my greatest compassion will be for our own struggling citizens.
  33. I have a different vision for our workers. It begins with a new, fair trade policy that protects our jobs and stands up to countries that cheat — of which there are many.
  34. I’m going to make our country rich again. Using the greatest business people of the world, I’m going to turn our bad trade agreements into great trade agreements.
  35. I am going to bring our jobs back our jobs to Ohio and Pennsylvania and New York and Michigan and all of America and I am not going to let companies move to other countries, firing their employees along the way, without consequences.
  36. I pledge to never sign any trade agreement that hurts our workers, or that diminishes our freedom and Independence. We will never ever sign bad trade deals. America first again. American first.
  37. I will make individual deals with individual countries. No longer will we enter into these massive transactions with many countries that are thousands of pages long and which no one from our country even reads or understands.
  38. We are going to enforce all trade violations against any country that cheats. This includes stopping China’s outrageous theft of intellectual property, along with their illegal product dumping, and their devastating currency manipulation.
  39. I have proposed the largest tax reduction of any candidate who has run for president this year, Democrat or Republican. Middle-income Americans will experience profound relief, and taxes will be greatly simplified for everyone. I mean everyone.
  40. Excessive regulation is costing our country as much as $2 trillion a year, and we will end and it very quickly.
  41. We are going to lift the restrictions on the production of American energy.
  42. We will build the roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, and the railways of our tomorrow.
  43. We will rescue kids from failing schools by helping their parents send them to a safe school of their choice.
  44. We will repeal and replace disastrous Obamacare. You will be able to choose your own doctor again.
  45. [W]e will fix TSA at the airports, which is a total disaster.
  46. We are going to work with all of our students who are drowning in debt to take the pressure off these young people just starting out in their adult lives.
  47. We will completely rebuild our depleted military.
  48. [T]he countries that we protecting at a massive cost to us will be asked to pay their fair share.
  49. We will take care of our great veterans like they have never been taken care of before.
  50. We will guarantee those who serve this country will be able to visit the doctor or hospital of their choice without waiting five days in a line and dying.
  51. We are going to ask every department head and government to provide a list of wasteful spending projects that we can eliminate in my first 100 days.
  52. We are also going to appoint justices to the United States Supreme Court who will uphold our laws and our constitution.
  53. My opponent wants to essentially abolish the 2nd Amendment. I, on the other hand, received the early and strong endorsement of the National Rifle Association. And will protect the right of all Americans to keep their families safe.
  54. An amendment, pushed by Lyndon Johnson, many years ago, threatens religious institutions with a loss of their tax-exempt status if they openly advocate their political views. Their voice has been taken away. I will work hard to repeal that language and to protect free speech for all Americans.
  55. [M]y sole and exclusive mission is to go to work for our country, to go to work for you. It is time to deliver a victory for the American people. We don’t win anymore, but we are going to start winning again. But to do that, we must break free from the petty politics of the past.
  56. I will be a champion.Your champion.
  57. I am your voice. So to every parent who dreams for their child, and every child who dreams for their future, I say these words to you tonight: I’m with you, and I will fight for you, and I will win for you
  58. We will make America strong again.
  59. We will make America proud again.
  60. We will make America safe again.
  61. And we will make America great again!

Here is the video of Donald Trump’s acceptance speech:

‘It’s the Immigration Problem, Stupid’

Secure borders are synonymous with safety and that’s what Americans want in 2016.

“Making America Safe Again” was the focus of the first day of the Republican National Convention.

Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani addressed the convention and unequivocally linked immigration to that vital goal, especially where the threat of terrorism is concerned.

Kent Terry — brother of Brian Terry, a Border Patrol agent who was killed on duty by illegal aliens — also spoke at the convention, as did two mothers and one father of children were slain by illegal aliens, saying that victims of criminal aliens needs to be addressed.

This means that there are about 10 percent as many ICE agent protecting the entire United States of America as there are cops protecting “The Big Apple.”

Early in his quest for the presidency, Donald Trump ignited a firestorm when he made the need for securing America’s borders a key issue for his candidacy, promising the build a wall to separate the United States from Mexico and getting the Mexican government to pay for that wall.

Many politicians were aghast at Trump’s candor. They had come to depend on the campaign contributions of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other organizations and deep-pocketed contributors that have been feeding at the super-lucrative trough of immigration, seeing in that massive influx of foreign workers (both illegal and legal with work visas such as the H-1B visa) a way of greatly reducing labor costs by importing a cheap labor force that would drive down wages and even supplant American workers with far more compliant foreign workers.

However, the failures of our government to effectively secure our borders and effectively enforce our immigration laws to create a cheap labor force comes with a high price tag — the lives of innocent victims killed by criminal aliens and those killed by terrorists.

Sen. Sessions also talked about how flooding America with more foreign workers than the number of new jobs that have been created has caused wages to decline, especially for middle-class workers, thrusting millions of Americans into poverty and also resulting in tens of millions of Americans leaving the labor force.

The 9/11 Commission, to which I provided testimony, made it clear that the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 (as well as other terror attacks) could not have been carried out if the terrorists had not been able to enter the United States in the first place and then been able to embed themselves (hide in plain sight) by acquiring multiple false identities and lawful immigration status by committing not only visa fraud but immigration benefit fraud.

Immigration is indeed inextricably linked to national security and public safety. We cannot protect ourselves from international terrorists and transnational criminals if we don’t prevent them from entering our country and then do nothing to seek them out if they succeed in entering the United States by one means or another.

While the U.S./Mexican border must be made secure, simply securing that porous border would not end the immigration crisis that undermines national security, public safety, and the economy of the United States. It is estimated that nearly half of all illegal aliens did not run that border but were admitted into the United States through ports of entry. None of the 9/11 terrorists ran our borders either.

The RNC leadership needs to hang a different sign on their walls: “It’s the Immigration Problem, Stupid!”

Securing America’s southwestern border, while absolutely essential, is only one component of the dysfunctional immigration system that must be quickly addressed.

The United States has 50 “Border States.” Any state that lies along our northern border as well as our southern border are border states, as are those states that have access to America’s 95,000 miles of meandering coastline. Any state that has an international airport is also a border state.

There is certainly no shortage of ways for aliens to enter the United States by evading the inspections process or by entering through a port of entry and then simply disappearing. The key to our immigration crisis is to also effectively enforce our immigration laws from the interior of the United States. This can only be done by having many more ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) special agents to enforce the immigration laws from within the interior of the United States.

Today there are only about 7,000 ICE agents for the entire United States. It is believed that fewer than half of them are actually assigned to enforcing the immigration laws while other agents are assigned to investigating violations of customs laws.

To put this in perspective, CBP (Customs and Border Protection) has more than 60,000 employees who work for the U.S. Border Patrol — which has well over 20,000 agents patrolling our nation’s borders and well over 20,000 inspectors conducting inspections of arriving cargo and people seeking entry into the United States at some 325 ports of entry across the United States.

TSA has more than 45,000 employees.

The NYPD has more than 35,000 police officers just to protect New York City. This means that there are about 20 percent as many ICE agents protecting the entire United States of America as there are cops protecting “The Big Apple.”

Furthermore, the notion that enforcing our immigration laws would, forgive the expression, “alienate” so-called “Latino Voters” is a massive lie perpetrated on America by those who are determined to erase America’s borders and end immigration law enforcement. Our immigration laws are utterly and completely blind as to race, religion, and ethnicity. As an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) agent, many of the aliens I investigated and arrested were not citizens of Latin American countries but came from countries from all over the globe — including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Canada, and elsewhere.

America’s immigration laws were enacted to protect national security and the well-being and lives and livelihoods of Americans. The section of our immigration laws that defines the categories of aliens to be excluded from the United States is found under Title 8 U.S. Code § 1182: (Inadmissible Aliens) and includes aliens who suffer dangerous communicable diseases or severe mental illness, aliens who are fugitives from justice, aliens who are convicted felons, spies, terrorists, war criminals, human rights violators, and others whose presence would undermine national security and/or public safety.

This section of law also addresses the issue of protecting the jobs, wages, and working conditions of American workers. In point of fact, prior to World War II, the primary responsibility and authority for enforcing and administering our immigration laws was vested in the Labor Department. America’s political leaders who were part of America’s “Greatest Generation” understood that for America to do well, Americans had to do well.

The long-term viability of America depends on the well-being of our citizens. Effectively enforcing and administering our immigration laws to protect American lives and American jobs would strengthen our nation, help reduce poverty and enable America to once again provide the leadership that the safety and stability of the world desperately need.

When Bill Clinton first ran for the presidency, his campaign staffers posted signs on their office walls that said, “It’s the economy, stupid!”

Republican leadership needs to hang a different sign on their walls: “It’s the Immigration Problem, Stupid!”

Terrorism is about Ideology, not Guns

After the recent mass shooting in Orlando, President Obama predictably refused to blame radical Islam, although in a break from his usual practice he at least identified it as an act of terrorism. But in addressing the nation shortly afterward, he displayed more anger at Republicans who chided him for refusing to identify the enemy.

Mr. Obama petulantly mocked his critics, asserting that using the term “radical Islam” would not make ISIS less radical. He seemed oblivious to the fact that jihad today is being waged by a variety of organizations and regimes besides ISIS – including Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Islamic Republic of Iran – and that it is indeed motivated by religion. He concluded by polemicizing about gun control, which has absolutely no causal connection to Islamist terrorism, instead of extremist religious doctrine, which does.

And many in the American Jewish establishment followed his lead, treating the massacre as a hate crime fueled by lax gun laws.

The mainstream media had a field day speculating whether the shooter, Omar Mateen, was secretly gay and whether his murder of forty-nine and wounding of fifty-three was an act of self-hatred. Ignored in such glib analysis was the fact that Mateen seems to have had a history of radicalization –travelling to Saudi Arabia twice before the attack, openly pledging allegiance to ISIS, and bragging to coworkers about supposed connections to Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah.

Investigators believe Mateen communicated with his wife and another person during the attack, suggesting collaborative planning rather than emotional action compelled by self-loathing. At no time during the assault did Mateen shout anti-gay slurs; nor did he articulate any as he posted comments on twitter and Facebook during his rampage. This is significant because, while he certainly targeted a gay nightclub, he did so because it was a symbol of what Islamists reject and seek to eradicate. He could just as easily have assaulted a church, public school, or Jewish community center as “infidel” institutions, and in fact authorities believe he had considered attacking Disney World.

In a familiar pattern, the president attempted to obscure the role of radical Islam – aided by Attorney General Loretta Lynch, whose Department of Justice initially redacted all references to ISIS and Islam from transcripts of Mateen’s telephone calls and social media posts. Lynch publicly claimed transparency even as she was attempting to keep critical information from the public. The DOJ changed course and released uncensored transcripts within a few days, but only after an uproar from Congressional Republicans.

However, Lynch still seemed intent on minimizing any connection to radical Islam. “I cannot tell you definitively that we will ever narrow it down to one motivation,” she said in one interview, adding, “People often act out of more than one motivation.” Would she have been so circumspect if it were a fundamentalist Christian assaulting an abortion clinic?

Regardless of the narrative spin, the Orlando attack was not an anti-gay hate crime as the president intimated. Rather, it was an act of terrorism against a lifestyle that Islam considers a symbol of western decadence. In denying the role of Islamic radicalism, Mr. Obama seems more concerned about shielding extremists from critical scrutiny than protecting U.S. citizens from terrorism.

There have been many Islamist attacks in the U.S. over the last eight years besides the Orlando massacre, including: the San Bernardino shooting earlier this year; the Oklahoma beheading in 2014; the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013; multiple beheadings of Coptic Christians in New Jersey and shootings of Christian converts in Texas in 2012; the partial beheadings of three Jewish men in Waltham, Massachusetts in 2011; the murder of a soldier in Arkansas and massacre of thirteen at Fort Hood, Texas in 2009; and honor killings of Muslim women in multiple states. Despite compelling evidence of religious impetus, Mr. Obama has downplayed the role of radical Islam, and some establishment Jewish organizations have done the same.

A press release issued by the Conservative Movement’s Rabbinical Assembly (“RA”) after the Orlando massacre ignored Mateen’s doctrinal motivations, focusing instead on gun control and sexual-identity politics. It stated in relevant part the following:

[P]rayer alone will not resolve the circumstances that made this tragedy possible and so we also issue a strong call for action.

This shooting rampage targeted the LGBT community in the midst of Pride month, a time where the LGBT community comes together to publicly acknowledge and celebrate their identities, their common history, and their struggle for social recognition and equality.

The RA has passed multiple resolutions calling on the community to ‘work for full and equal civil rights for gays and lesbians in our national life, deplore violence against gays and lesbians, encourage inclusion of gay and lesbian Jews in our congregations, and increase our awareness of issues facing gay and lesbian Jews.’ We know that we stand with people of good will of all faiths in continuing this work.

Everyone can agree that Mateen should not have been allowed to purchase a gun. But that’s a different issue from the administration’s implication that terrorism is caused by access to firearms.

We urge the United States Congress and the President of the United States to take meaningful steps toward ending this horrifying violence in our communities by passing common-sense gun legislation. As recently as our May 2016 convention, the Rabbinical Assembly issued a resolution encouraging our members to lobby local, state and federal lawmakers to support required background checks on all public and private gun sales, bans on military style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and legislation making gun trafficking a federal crime with severe penalties.

This statement seems to conflate Mateen’s actions with inadequate gun control and bias crime, but ignores the role of radical Islam. However, the failure to mention Islamist extremism when purporting to address “the circumstances that made this tragedy possible” is to ignore the most essential circumstance of all.

Compare this statement to that issued by the Orthodox Union:

The Orthodox Union strongly condemns the violent attack perpetrated this past weekend in Orlando, Florida. While all the facts surrounding the terrible crime are yet to be revealed, it is clear that those people who were murdered and grievously injured were targeted because of their identification with the LGBT community. All people of good will must condemn such violence. No American should be assailed due to his or her personal identity. All acts of terrorism against any group must be vigorously defended against and thwarted.

The Orthodox Union expresses its sincere condolences to the families of those who perished and prays for the full recovery of those injured. We support the work of law enforcement to fully investigate this terrible incident and bring to justice anyone who supported the perpetrator.

The OU’s statement clearly identified the role of terrorism and focused on the victims as victims, not martyrs to a partisan cause. The RA’s release, on the other hand, promoted an essentially secular, political agenda and imbued it with religiosity.

Unfortunately, Mateen purchased a gun despite having been on the “no-fly” list, and this should never have been allowed to happen. But security lapses have become all too common since the Obama administration began restraining intelligence practices, hampering law enforcement, and stifling public discourse through institutionalized political correctness.

The hand of political correctness was clearly evident when the FBI purged its anti-terrorism training manuals of material deemed offensive to Muslims, when the military failed to discipline Nidal Hasan for communicating with known Islamists before his attack at Fort Hood, and when Attorney General Lynch threatened to prosecute people for criticizing Islam after San Bernardino.

Everyone can agree that Mateen should not have been allowed to purchase a gun. But that’s a different issue from the administration’s implication that terrorism is caused by access to firearms. Considering that most domestic and international terrorist attacks involve illegal weapons, explosives and knives, it is misguided and irresponsible to link Islamist terror to gun control, especially by an administration that ignores the ideological motivation for most of today’s terrorism or cynically misrepresents it as generic criminality.

None of this appears to concern many in the liberal Jewish establishment, who after nearly eight years of a virulently anti-Israel administration and a dramatic rise in global anti-Semitism, seem more concerned about advancing the progressive agenda. In the process, many have allied themselves with anti-Semites who despise Israel and promote Jew-hatred.

Jews are free to follow their consciences in supporting or opposing gun control legislation – or any other hot button political issue. However, it is disingenuous to invoke Jewish values to sanctify a partisan platform absent a mandate from traditional rabbinic sources or normative halakha. This is particularly so when Jewish imprimatur is bestowed by secular Jews unfamiliar with (or contemptuous of) Jewish law, or by nontraditional movements that modify the law in conformity with popular culture or do not feel bound by it at all.

People of good will should be allowed to disagree on matters of policy without being vilified by the progressive establishment, particularly when dissent flows from traditional values and observance. It is disingenuous to give Jewish moral sanction to issues on which halakha is silent or opposed, and irresponsible for Jewish leadership to ignore existential threats for the sake of politics.

Polls Show Americans Distrust Clinton, and Give Her Supporters Reasons to Panic

While the FBI might have let presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton off the hook for her alleged mishandling of classified information, recent Washington Post/ABC News and CBS/New York Times polls suggest that the American public is far less forgiving. Coupled with recent polls showing presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump leading, or within striking distance, in several swing states, some in the Clinton camp are beginning to panic.

On Monday, the Washington Post published the results of their poll, conducted July 6-7, which asked respondents several questions regarding the Clinton email scandal. When asked, “Do you approve or disapprove of [FBI Director James] Comey’s recommendation that Clinton should NOT be charged with a crime?”, a majority of 56 percent answered that they disapprove of his decision; this included a majority of independents. A mere 35 percent approved of FBI’s recommendation.

Another question asked those polled, “Does this issue make you worry about how Clinton might handle her responsibilities if she’s elected president, or do you think it’s NOT related to how she might handle her responsibilities if elected? IF WORRIED: Are you very worried about this, or somewhat worried.” 57 percent of individuals polled answered that they are either “very worried” or “somewhat worried.”

According to the CBS/NYT poll, conducted July 8-12, Clinton’s statements regarding her handling of classified information, which were refuted by FBI, seem to have further eroded the minority of people that still considered her trustworthy. When asked, “Do you think Hillary Clinton is honest and trustworthy, or not?” 67 percent deemed her not honest and trustworthy, including 74 percent of independents. A CBSNews.com article on the recent poll noted that the 67 percent figure is “up from 62 percent last month and the highest percentage this election cycle.”

On Thursday, The Hill reported that some poll-watching Senate Democrats are beginning to worry that Trump will defeat their candidate. The article describes a private meeting attended by Clinton and several Democratic senators. According to The Hill, a Democratic Senator who was on hand said of the meeting, “Some people were freaked out, they were looking down at the polls on Real Clear Politics and asking why it was so close.” Another individual, described as a “senior Senate Democratic aide,” told the news outlet that this wasn’t the first time senators had raised concerns about how close the polls are.

While Clinton supporters are “freaked out” about swing-state polls, there are some others that should send them right off the deep end. A February 2008 USA Today/Gallup poll reported that 73-percent of those polled believed that the Second Amendment protects “the rights of Americans to own guns,” rather than “members of state militias such as National Guard units.” A similar CNN poll from 2009 placed respect for the individual rights interpretation of the Second Amendment at 77 percent. A 2013 Rasmussen poll found that 74 percent of respondents understood that the U.S. Constitution protects the “right of an average citizen to own a gun.”

Despite the fact that it has been repeatedly shown that the overwhelming majority of Americans understand that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, Clinton has time and again revealed that she intends to work to overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, which recognized this right. During the course of her most recent presidential campaign, Clinton has said that “the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment” and called Heller, “a terrible decision.” Moreover, during a recent appearance on ABC’s This Week, Clinton repeatedly refused to acknowledge that the Second Amendment protects an individual right.

When it comes to the Second Amendment, Clinton is wildly out-of-step with the American public. Clinton supporters, you have permission to freak out.

‘Rock Island Auction Freedom Challenge’ Seeks to Protect Gun Rights

Rock Island Auction Freedom ChallengeROCK ISLAND, Ill. /PRNewswire/ — Rock Island Auction Company, an Illinois firearms auction house, today launched the “Rock Island Auction Freedom Challenge,” an online fundraising campaign aimed at raising money to support the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action’s (NRA-ILA) efforts to preserve Second Amendment rights. RIAC pledged to match up to $1 million in donations raised through the online video campaign.

“If you have a gun, and you want to continue to own it legally, then this challenge is for you,” said Hogan. “It doesn’t matter if you go hunting, target shoot, want to protect yourself or your family, are a member of an at-risk group, a sport shooter, or are a collector. We want your donation, and we will match it. If every person who owned a gun donated just one dollar, the impact would be enormous.”

Second Amendment supporters who accept the “Rock Island Auction Freedom Challenge” will record a video of themselves challenging their friends and family to take the challenge, stating why they are participating in the challenge, and then post to their own social media pages. Donations can be made atwww.RIAFreedomChallenge.com. It is not necessary to receive a challenge to participate.

Hogan hopes that the challenge, “will show the vast diversity of firearms owners in this country and that, regardless of a social sphere or reason for owning, we can all come together to help preserve this important right.” The goal is to reach beyond traditional political activists and activate all Americans who exercise their Second Amendment rights. With over 100 million gun owners in America the fundraising effort could make a significant difference in a critical election year.

Proceeds and the $1 million dollar match from the Freedom Challenge will be donated to the NRA-ILA, the lobbying arm of the NRA that has successfully defended not only gun rights, but many issues revolving around firearms such as hunting, wildlife conservation, and criminal justice reform.  For more information on the Rock Island Auction Freedom Challenge, please visit www.RIAFreedomChallenge.com.

Subjugating America

By Karen Schoen and Neil Rice.

What do Orlando, San Bernardino, Charlotte, Sandy Hook, Fort Hood – all have in common?  If you said, “ The cry for gun control.” You would be correct. If you said, “They are all in Gun-Free Zones.” You would be correct. Will any of the gun control measures in Congress stop future terrorist attacks? Hell NO!!! But the measures WILL increase the danger for average Americans. Why are legislators doing this?

In order for the victors to steal the spoils (your stuff) – you must be disarmed.

In order for the government to control YOU, you must be disarmed. In order for YOU and your family to be forced into slavery, YOU must be disarmed! The History Channel did a great series on Barbarians and Ancient Rome. What is the first thing a victor does?

They disarm the losers, plunder their stuff and make them slaves.

Could this be why history is no longer taught in school? Could it be we would discover their strategy as they continue the same procedure over an over:  Just as in Ancient times FEAR is used to create the crisis so people will scream for controls, The government then can use massive regulations to suppress opposition and control the people.  Patriot Act anyone?

This is the playbook followed by all gun control advocates. You must learn history. If we allow gun control, WE ALL LOSE.  Remember, gun control advocates like Hillary are willing to have Americans killed…if it means you will lose your gun rights!  Life has little or no meaning to them. Just listen to them scream for gun control, then ask, “would this Bill have made a difference in the Attack?” The answer is always the same, “NO”. Gun control advocates want our silence and will go after Free Speech. They want our stuff and will go after our guns. They are already doing it.

We need Amendment 2 to protect Amendment 1.

On September 25, 2013, John Kerry signed the UN Small Arms Treaty, which was NOT RATIFIED by the SENATE as per the Constitution. This administration follows its own laws, POTUS has his PEN and PHONE while political correctness silences dissent.  America has a Congress that takes aim at Americans, not terrorists.  Make no mistake, Ryan and Congress can stop any unconstitutional Executive Order, but they will not. Instead, they take aim at Trump and Americans. Time to vote ALL of the traitors in congress aka legislators – OUT.

The UN Treaty and the media propaganda always claim, “In the interest of national security…, In the interest of public safety…, For the common good.”  BS, it is for their OWN good.

They cannot control America unless we SURRENDER our guns and SUBMIT. According to this UN Treaty, only the government can have guns.

In Executive Order 13603, by declaring an emergency, Obama’s “civilian army as strong as the U.S. Military” can come on your property and take whatever he wants: YOUR food, YOUR guns, YOUR property. FEMA is being used and trained to become Obama’s civilian military.

Where is Congress? Boehner, Ryan and Congress think:  this is great!  WE will keep our jobs.  No wonder they hate Trump. They are fearful of their jobs. Will you be a boss and say, “You’re Fired?” Or do you think when all you have left for protection are pots and pans, (read about the Warsaw Ghetto in WWII) – the government will save you? Will your sheriff or police protect you?   How does that work when law enforcement shows up AFTER the crime was committed? or perhaps in the future will they say,  “just following orders m’am,” as UN troops plunder your stuff and terrorize your family?

This is an election year, ask the right questions and remember every elected official IS SILENT against this administration, as our rights and freedom quickly erode. Time to say YOU’RE FIRED!

Remember this Congress insinuated to Obama: “You’re Black so we will not impeach you because we will be called Racists.” “You can use your Pen and Phone and go out on a spending spree. We will fund all of your social programs otherwise we will be called out for shutting down the government.” Where are the leaders? Oh I see them now, they are running to those pesty Town Halls. Must be an election year, I guess they need votes.

“Not to worry folks”, FEMA will say, “We just want to flag the people on the No-fly list.” Really, who decides whom is on that list?  How many of us are on the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) terror list?  I am proudly #1 on the Florida list but now will FEMA determine that I can not protect myself?  How many were targeted by the IRS? Are we to give up our guns, “For the PUBLIC Good.” while waiting to be shot by a terrorist?  What comes after guns?”

We are seeing the Federal nationalization of our National Guard, municipal, local and state police, and the distribution of military equipment throughout America by FEMA and DHS.  All the while distribution of firearms and assault weapons flow freely to terrorists in Libya, Mexico, Syria, etc. Compliments of the Iran Deal, many countries like Cuba are getting arms from Iran.

As America’s kindergartners are suspended for toy guns, poptart guns, or mentioning guns, ISIS  kindergartners are being trained how to use AK’s and assault weapons. Who wins that war?

As the world arms-up or is armed by American tax dollars and our borders are open, Americans are supposed to lie down and give up their guns? I DON’T THINK SO.  Why am I to give up my gun when this administration lets criminals out of jail, releases terrorists from Gitmo and allows cartels to take root in America. Someone please ask Hillary. All you Trump haters, are you giving up your guns to Hillary? She can’t wait.

Just months after Department of Homeland Security advisers claimed “the threat from right-wing extremists domestically is just as real as the threat from Islamic extremism,” DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson is now suggesting his department should be in charge of implementing gun control. What is wrong with that picture? Will Loretta Lynch now suggest everyone “LOVE right-wing extremists?” Will my name be removed from SPLC terror watch list?

Remember the UN Globalist Goal:  Money, Power, Control

Gun Control Advocates NEED a CRISIS to create a problem only they can solve. Then they get to restrict your rights.  The border is open. They don’t care.  Squashing another attack will enable more restrictions.   No security system will work if the doors and windows are left open.

It is CRITICAL for terrorists to be on American Soil to fit the Agenda. It is important for terrorism to thrive on American soil – to implement the Agenda, which is full gun elimination. We all know Hillary is a liar. Can’t you see her congress. They will say, “sure Hillary whatever you want after all we can’t impeach you or we will be accused of being chauvinists. We can’t have a war with women. What will the media say?” As a result:

  1. POTUS can write gun restricting EO’s, Hear Democrats scream – so their constituents think they are working. Dems had the full House and Senate from 2008-2010 and did nothing about guns. Now they “sit in.” for window dressing.
  2. Americans must be divided and marginalized so they are easier to control.
  3. Bad America is the dialogue while propaganda and political correctness are used to suppress the truth.  Instead we hear that the shooter is a crazy,  a mental case with a host of syndromes to follow, a lone wolf (no such thing and they should be call lone cowards. Wolf gives them honor a coward does not.) We must feel sympathy for the poor confused shooter.  All terrorists need is love!!!!  Using that theory Loretta, you must LOVE the right wingers.
  4. Creation of more gun- free zones giving terrorists better targets.
  5. Promoting victimhood, hatred, Evil America and Islam (as the one true religion) are taught in American Schools resulting in citizens becoming victims hating America.
  6. “Legitimize SPLC” by this rogue administration and a Department of (In) Justice. who cites terror is, “organization via the internet,” one can bet this new “alliance” will have tremendous influence over the FCC to “curb” and “control” more internet content by censorship and infringing on freedom of speech. This “collusion” against conservative America, Christians, patriots, veterans and other groups is blatant, unapologetic, intentional, and set to “force” subjugation.

The Obama administration clearly brushes off Islam and Muslims as terror threats instead  they designate 72 groups of individuals as potential “domestic terrorists” while scrubbing all mention of Islam and Muslims.

In fact, Obama and his stooge administration are so confident in their designation of these groups as terrorists, they are joining hands with the United Nations to “allow international police agencies to help program how American cities respond to terrorism.” Despite its unconstitutional nature, Obama and Attorney General Loretta Lynch are all but cheering to enforce tyranny, despotism and eradication of individual God-given constitutionally guaranteed rights of groups and individuals designated as “domestic terrorists.” They will use any means necessary to justify the end — the destruction of America. All the while, Congress continues in its complicity of these travesties sucking on their thumb as they wait for their “bottle” from Obama.

Will you go to town and county meeting to demand your rights be protected by the people you elect? Will you help educate your legislators? Do you recognize that love him or hate him Donald Trump is the only one who will protect American’s rights?  Hillary is part of the administration that create ISIS. Do you think she will change anything? Today there is more of us than them. But that is only today.

If not you, WHO?  If not now, WHEN? We will not comply, will you?

Think Gays Don’t Need Gun Rights? Check Your Privilege

A predictable response to the horrific massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando, in which a gunman murdered 49 people and injured 53 others, mostly Latino, is to restrict gun ownership to police only.

But this response ignores the real relationship gay and ethnic minority populations have had with police. It’s a history of violence, targeted specifically at queer and brown bodies.

When we discuss privilege in America, we rightly point out that straight, white, cisgendered, male Americans have the tremendous advantage of not being directly negatively impacted by institutional, systemic racism, sexism, transphobia and homophobia.

But what we don’t discuss often enough is how American law enforcement privileges the lives of straight, white, cisgendered, male Americans over the lives of others.

Those who dream of a utopia in which only the police have guns must reckon with the reality that to disarm everyone but the police puts marginalized communities at the utter mercy of American police departments who have proven themselves to be more than happy to violate black and queer bodies, and court systems which have proven themselves unwilling to hold them accountable.

A history of racial violence

Despite what you’ve been taught, the fight for equality under the law for black Americans did not start with boycotts and marches. It started with black guys with guns.

Most Americans immediately connect Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks to the civil rights movement. You probably also know Emmett Till. But you may not know Dr. T. R. M. Howard.

Emmett Till was the third black male to be murdered in Mississippi in a three-month span 1955.

After trying to vote in Belzoni, Reverend George Lee was shot and killed at point blank range while driving. Weeks later Lamar Smith succeeded in casting his ballot in Brookhaven before he was shot and killed in broad daylight, before witnesses in front of the county courthouse.

Police made no arrests in connection to either murder. Witnesses rightly feared for their lives and did not come forward to testify.

Then on August 28, 1955 three men kidnapped 14-year-old Emmett Till at gunpoint around 2 a.m. They put Till in the bed of a pickup truck and drove him to various places to pistol whip him and decide what to do. Finally they shot him dead. Before dumping his body, the murderers showed his mutilated corpse to a black man saying, “That’s what happens to smart niggers.”

Till’s crime wasn’t voting, but whistling. A habit he picked up to alleviate his stuttering, a few white men thought it was directed at a white girl.

Till’s mother, Mamie Till Bradley, insisted on an open-casket viewing of Till’s mutilated body and tens of thousands of people showed up to see it. Till’s murder and the sight of his body enraged and activated civil rights leaders at the state and national levels of the NAACP. But everyone still feared for their lives too much to come forward and testify.

That’s when wealthy physician and civil rights leader Dr. T. R. M. Howard came forward. Howard used his considerable wealth to hire armed bodyguards to protect himself, his family, and anyone else willing to come forward to testify against Till’s murderers.

These witnesses made the trial possible, and the trial was “The first great media event of the civil rights movement,” according to the New York Times.

While Till’s murderers were acquitted, the tide had turned. Armed black people were no longer too afraid to stand up about injustice. Howard made sure Mose Wright, the first man to ever testify against a white man in court and live, was able to escape to Chicago after the trial.

Two months after Till’s murder, Montgomery civil rights activists held a meeting to discuss Till’s case and other recent murders of civil right activists. Rosa Parks attended this meeting, and then one month later she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery city bus.

Police violence against queer Americans

The story of the struggle for gay rights has been similarly sanitized.

Black Americans in the south could not rely on law enforcement for help. In the leadup to the Till trial, Tallahatchie County Sheriff Clarence Strider told the media he believed Till’s body was not Till’s but was a decoy planted by the NAACP. He confined two witnesses to jail to prevent them from testifying. And during the trial he said to black spectators coming back from lunch, “Hello, Niggers!”

The relationship between queer Americans and law enforcement is even worse.

Rampant homophobia and transphobia in the 1960’s meant out queers were unwelcome in most bars and restaurants. That made the places they were allowed extremely important. But it also made them a target for police raids. States adopted anti-sodomy legislation for the purpose of giving police a pretext for mass arrests of queers. By 1960, every state had an anti-sodomy law.

In New York, the gay bars were mostly controlled by organized crime who paid off police to prevent frequent raids. Yet the raids were still pretty frequent, happening once per month for each bar on average. San Francisco gays had it no better. When police showed up to Compton’s Cafeteria to arrest men dressed as women in 1966. This time, the patrons rioted, slinging cups and plates and breaking the plexiglass windows.

When police conducted an unannounced raid at the Stonewall Inn, a mafia-owned gay bar in Greenwich Village, patrons and supporters rioted violently for days. This inspired organized meeting and marches for gay rights. Before two years had passed after the Stonewall riots every major American city had a gay rights group.

The disturbing reality

It would be lovely if equality under the law were a reality in America today. But you only have to look as far as the murders of Freddie Gray or Eric Garner to see that we are not there yet.

Here’s what the Baltimore Police Department tweeted after one of their officers was acquitted in the death of Freddie Gray.

They raised a toast to the fact that the officer who decided not to put a seatbelt on the handcuffed Freddie Gray and drove him around the city, every twist and turn throwing his body against the metal walls, whose actions are directly responsible for his untimely, violent death, would face no criminal penalties.

Gun control puts marginalized Americans at the utter mercy of a police force that has perpetrated thousands of violent raids of gay nightclubs, yet could do absolutely nothing to stop the massacre in Orlando. Gays need guns, not only to protect themselves from cops, but also to protect themselves from being targeted by civilians like the Orlando shooter and the homophobes who threatened Tom Palmer.

The people who posit gun control for the purpose of protecting gays in the wake of the Orlando massacre benefit from tremendous privilege. They get to live in ignorance of the role police have played in hurting gay Americans, and in ignorance of the role guns have played in fomenting the movement for civil rights. And in particular, white, straight pro-gun control liberals can safely advocate for disarming the marginalized while they enjoy the privilege of not being heavily targeted by violent bigots, including cops.

Perhaps it’s within the realm of possibility that disarming people will protect the marginalized. But only if we disarm the police.

Hawaii: Gun Owners May Be Monitored More Closely Than Criminals Under New Law

Yesterday, Governor Ige announced that he signed two anti-gun bills, Senate Bill 2954 and House Bill 625, into law.  Both bills took effect immediately upon his approval.  Apparently the Governor thinks that law-abiding Hawaiians should be entered into a federal criminal database for continuous monitoring because that is exactly what SB 2954 will do.  Under SB 2954, the existing registration requirement will be expanded and law-abiding Hawaii gun owners, and visitors, will be entered into the federal “Rap Back” system, which is a biometric database managed by the FBI for continuous monitoring.

The exercise of an individual’s Second Amendment rights is not inherently suspicious and should not require a person to surrender other civil liberties, including unwarranted invasions of privacy or unequal treatment under the law. The lawful acquisition, possession, carrying, or use of a firearm does not justify subjecting citizens to ongoing monitoring.

Governor Ige also signed HB 625, which expands prohibited possessors to include certain misdemeanor crimes.  Constitutional rights are generally restricted only upon conviction of a felony.  The reasons for this are two-fold.  It limits restrictions on constitutional rights to only the most serious offenses, and, perhaps more importantly, felony convictions provide greater procedural protections to the accused, which results in more reliable convictions.  The right to keep and bear arms should not be treated as a second-class right and should be restricted only upon conviction of a felony.

SB 2647, which would severely restrict the sale, purchase, and possession with the intent to sell legally owned ivory is still pending final decision making by the Governor. Please contact Governor Ige TODAY and urge him to VETO SB 2647. To read more about ivory ban legislation, please refer to NRA-ILA’s Ivory Ban Fact Sheet.

Hawaii Bill Would Database Gun Owners For Special Scrutiny

Lessons Learned from the Orlando Shooting and the American Left

The American Left is just plain evil. Not only do they not seek truth, they suppress it. Everything the Left does, including shamefully exploiting the slaughter of Americans in a nightclub, is to further their deception and power to force their unpopular agenda down our throats.

Leftists are the minority. However, they own the federal government, social media, public education, Hollywood and the Democratic party. They use inciting misdirected anger, hate and guilt to bully the public into embracing their anti-American and anti-God agenda. Because the Left controls the media, they get away with falsely portraying their opposition. The Left takes disapproval of them forcing their agenda on us to absurd extremes.

For example: If you say “no” to men using girl’s restrooms, Leftists in the media brand you an insane hatemonger who seeks the murder of all homosexuals. If you disagree with the Left’s illogical obsession with disarming Americans, repealing the second amendment, Leftist media brands you a racist toothless idiot redneck that wants to shoot all people who do not look like you.

The Left used the same take-opposition-to-absurd-extremes tactic to brand the Tea Party racist. The good folks in the Tea Party simply disagreed with Obama’s unlawful overreaches and ignoring of the Constitution. The Congressional Black caucus despicably took their opposition to the absurd extreme claiming that the Tea Party would “love” to see black Americans “hanging on a tree.”

Upon hearing about the Orlando nightclub shooting, I told Mary, my wife, “You watch, the Left will say all who disapprove with men using girl’s restrooms are just as bad as the Orlando shooter.” Sure enough, that was the Left’s outrageous absurd story line reported by numerous news outlets. Summarizing the Left’s media blitz, they said if you do not affirm the LGBT community and the implementation of their agenda, you are equal to the Orlando shooter; a rabid hater, responsible for those killed in the nightclub. I wonder how many Americans are falling for it.

Do you see how the Left’s insidious game is played? All who oppose the Left’s relentless attacks on biblical principles and our constitutional rights are branded stupid, haters and bigots by the media. Then the Left launches a shock and awe campaign to destroy the offender. More and more Americans know the drill; bullied into silence and compliance.

It is sad how the Left has been able to pervert the word “love” into meaning we must embrace deviant and immoral behaviors.

The most annoying thing about the Left’s bogus image of “caring more than the rest of us” is their policies and ideas end up harming the people they claim to champion 99% of the time. Decades of blacks faithfully voting for Democrats (Leftists) has resulted in urban areas becoming hellholes of black on black crime, fatherless households, epidemic school dropouts, poverty and government dependency. Leftists always make every situation they touch worse.

Obama’s Leftist (politically correct) CVE policy tied the hands of the FBI, blocked them from using intel they had on the Islamist terrorist Orlando shooter. Thus, Obama bears some responsibility for the deaths of the homosexuals in the Orlando nightclub. Pure and simple. And yet, Obama and his media buddies are relentlessly trying to blame the massacre on Christians and American gun owners.

Despicably, Obama and his media buddies are hellbent on convincing Americans that the greatest source of evil and threat to Americans is not Islamist terrorists. It is Christians and American gun owners. Again, I wonder how many Americans are being duped by their deception and misdirection from the truth?

Speaking of Obama’s evil efforts to cover for Islam and blame Christians and American gun owners, his DOJ is deleting all references of radical Islamic beliefs from the transcripts of the Orlando shooter’s 911 call

By the way, America has suffered a terrorist attack every year under Obama. Deaths from terrorism have quadrupled under Obama. And yet, thanks to his media buddies covering for him, Obama approval polling is over 50%.

At times, the Left’s seemingly successful steamrollering of our culture puts me in a bit of a funk. History chronicles that the path America has chosen has destroyed other civilizations; destruction of the traditional family (fatherless households and etc); the graying of the line between right and wrong and rebellion against God’s natural laws. Therefore, I mourn for my country.

However, I do find encouragement to continue fighting the good fight by reminding myself that God is in control and America is worth it.

As she tallied up my groceries, I asked the supermarket cashier, “Are you still working at the bank?” When I moved to Florida 16 years ago, this same Hispanic woman was working as a bank-teller and supermarket cashier. She relied, “Yes.” I said, “You’re amazing.” The elderly woman chuckled and said, “Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. God is good.” Her cheerful demeanor and self-reliance blessed me. Obviously, she does not believe taxpayers owe her a living.

Folks, I realize this anecdotal example of character is not a big deal. And yet, it served as a cool sip of water in my desert of despair regarding the declining character of my country. God is good!

AR-15 Speaks! A New — and Real — Anti-black Bigotry by AR-15

Hi, my name is AR-15. Some of you know me, but many more of you know of me — through the media. But you may not know the real me.

I’m that cool, sleek-looking black gun you’ve seen profiled by the press. They put me in newspapers and on TV, showing my picture as if it’s a mug shot, even though I’ve never committed a crime. Oh, bad people have at times used (and abused) me to do bad things, but not really that often; as even The New York Times admitted in 2014, firearms such as me — which that paper and others call “assault weapons” — are only used in two percent of gun crimes (most are perpetrated with handguns).

And that’s another thing. For a long time I didn’t mind the misnomer; it massaged my ego and made me feel like the big man on the block when I was called an “assault weapon.” But Mr. Duke convinced me that “pride goeth before a fall,” as the Good Book says. He pointed out that the term “assault weapon” was popularized by anti-gun zealot Josh Sugarmann, whose goal was to besmirch my reputation and get me banned. In fact, Sugarmann, not at all a sweet man, actually once said, “Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons — anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun — can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.”

And it’s true, especially in my case. The public knows my appearance well; people have seen my cousin and dead ringer, M-16, fired machine-gun style in war movies for decades. But, alas, I, AR-15 — the weapon available to the public — can only be fired semi-automatic. This means that every time you pull my trigger, one shot, and only one shot, is released.

So even if we accept the term “assault weapon,” that’s not me. To qualify, a gun must be capable of fully automatic fire (machine-gun style), and no such weapons are readily available to the public. So unlike cousin M-16, who originally had a select-fire feature allowing him to be shot in various ways, I’m just a one-trick pony. And, by the way, “AR” in my name doesn’t stand for “assault rifle” but “Armalite Rifle,” referencing the company that first produced me.

Despite this, I’ve become a media whipping boy. Even when those rare crimes are committed in which a gun of my class is used, but which don’t involve me personally — such as the horrific Orlando incident, where Muslim terrorist Omar Mateen used a Sig Sauer MCX — my face is front and center. In fact, that’s what finally inspired me to speak out, articles such as this outrageous one from Daily News writer Gersh Kuntzman. Reporting on how he tried me at a Philly gun range, he actually wrote:

The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don’t know what you’re doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.

None of the above is true; I know because I was there. Oh, in my younger and more impetuous days I would’ve gotten a thrill out of being portrayed as such a macho guy. But the Truth will set you free (something the propagandizing Mr. Kuntzman should ponder).

And the truth is that I never bruised Mr. Kuntzman. One thing I can rightly puff up my chest over is that I have very little recoil because I’m high-tech — my mechanism is designed to absorb much of the energy of the blast. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Mr. Duke had the opportunity years ago to fire me on multiple occasions, and he says that I have by far the least kick of any firearm he ever used. And if you don’t believe him, trust your own eyes. Below is a video of a seven-year-old girl trying me for the first time (forward to the 25-second mark if you want to see just the actual firing).

Did the little lass say “Ow!” or register discomfort in any way? Did she rub her shoulder? A 12-gauge shotgun loaded with buckshot could have knocked that little tyke on her keister, but me? Also know that Kuntzman fired me only three times before bowing out, grousing that I was a “dangerous weapon.” And that fact, my friends, comes from Frank Stelmach, who was quoted by Kuntzman and who owns the gun range the journalist visited. You see, Mr. Duke actually called Stelmach, and one of the first things the man said to Duke — as he complained of how Kuntzman misrepresented his words and the experience at the range — was “It would be nice if journalists would write what you actually say!”

And by the by, Stelmach said that Kuntzman never mentioned anything about his shoulder or expressed that he was experiencing any kind of discomfort. Stelmach also called the notion that an ultra-low-recoil weapon such as me could bruise a grown man’s shoulder “nonsense.”

As for my “explosions” being “loud like a bomb,” well, I can belt out a song, but not like some other firearms. And no wonder. I fire the .223 cartridge, a small-caliber round the same diameter as a .22 (yes, .22s are those cute little rounds you put in your Marlin as a kid). Of course, my round is a lot more powerful than a .22 (in your face, Marlin!), but just take a look at these “killing power” rankings of rifle rounds. It’s hard to admit, but the .223 round listed — which is still more powerful than my .223 round and which I can’t fire — has the second least power of the 41 cartridges ranked. This is why many states have outlawed my use for hunting big game, such as deer. Imagine, they won’t even let me go after Bambi! In the same vein, when a lady friend of Mr. Duke’s tried me years ago, she remarked that, owing to my almost non-existent recoil, I was “like a toy.” It’s all quite emasculating.

Of course, then there are my magazines; for the Kuntzmans of the world, no, those aren’t things you read that usually contain liberal propaganda. They’re objects loaded with cartridges that, assuming they’re removable, you then insert into firearms. It’s true that high-capacity magazines are available for me. But criminals would always get them on the black market; moreover, with just a bit of effort, any gun’s removable magazine can be modified to hold a large number of rounds. So why am I singled out?

The answer is simple: my looks — and others’ prejudices. Take a gander at me below:

ar15

Am I not a sharp-lookin’ guy? Black is beautiful!

But it’s also seen as “menacing,” especially by liberals in the media. Face it, since I’m functionally no different from other legal firearms — semi-automatic just as most guns sold in America are — I can only conclude that I’m profiled as dangerous because of my sleek military-like appearance and my color. If I looked like those much more powerful hunting rifles, would you really be troubling over me?

As Mr. Duke likes to put it, this is standard liberal style over substance. Never sparing my ego, he points out that assuming I’m a machine gun because I look like cousin M-16 is akin to putting a Porsche body on a Yugo chassis and expecting to go 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds. Of course, my self-image will survive, but being misunderstood, mischaracterized and discriminated against is a bit depressing.

It’s enough to make me want to shoot myself.
