Sixty years ago JFK was murdered in broad daylight, a moment that shattered the public’s trust in the federal government forever!

There are two dates that many people of my age remember. The first is the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (JFK) in Dallas, Texas on Friday, November 22, 1963, at 12:30 p.m. CST. The second is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon by al Qaeda on September 11th, 2001 at 10:03 a.m. EDT.

On that day President John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, was assassinated while riding in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas.

Kennedy was in the vehicle with his wife, Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally’s wife, Nellie.

I remember being in college at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. I was at my desk when the Dean walked into the classroom and said, “President Kennedy has been shot. All classes are canceled.”

I went home to watch the video of President Kennedy murdered. I remember that I, my family and the nation were stunned. JFK was my idol. A man who had served this nation during WW II in the U.S. Navy on the famous PT-109 torpedo boat.

JFK was a family man who said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

JFK was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He introduced the AR-15 rifle into the military inventory, a rifle that I carried into combat in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division.

The CIA Murdered JFK

On December 18th, 2022 I learned that our own Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in JFK’s assassination.

Watch Fox News host Tucker Carlson give his take on a source saying the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination,

With this stunning revelation, as a military veteran, I am now asking myself did the CIA purposefully botch (ruin through clumsiness or ineptitude) the Bay of Pigs invasion, which led to the Cuban Missile Crisis?

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum has this to say about the April 17, 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion:

ON APRIL 17, 1961, 1,400 CUBAN EXILES LAUNCHED WHAT BECAME A BOTCHED INVASION AT THE BAY OF PIGS ON THE SOUTH COAST OF CUBA.

In 1959, Fidel Castro came to power in an armed revolt that overthrew Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista. The US government distrusted Castro and was wary of his relationship with Nikita Khrushchev, the leader of the Soviet Union.

Before his inauguration, John F. Kennedy was briefed on a plan by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) developed during the Eisenhower administration to train Cuban exiles for an invasion of their homeland. The plan anticipated that the Cuban people and elements of the Cuban military would support the invasion. The ultimate goal was the overthrow of Castro and the establishment of a non-communist government friendly to the United States.

[ … ]

José Miró Cardona led the anti-Castro Cuban exiles in the United States. A former member of Castro’s government, he was the head of the Cuban Revolutionary Council, an exile committee. Cardona was poised to take over the provisional presidency of Cuba if the invasion succeeded.

[ … ]

The Plan

The original invasion plan called for two air strikes against Cuban air bases. A 1,400-man invasion force would disembark under cover of darkness and launch a surprise attack. Paratroopers dropped in advance of the invasion would disrupt transportation and repel Cuban forces. Simultaneously, a smaller force would land on the east coast of Cuba to create confusion.

The main force would advance across the island to Matanzas and set up a defensive position. The United Revolutionary Front would send leaders from South Florida and establish a provisional government. The success of the plan depended on the Cuban population joining the invaders.

The Invasion

The first mishap occurred on April 15, 1961, when eight bombers left Nicaragua to bomb Cuban airfields.

The CIA had used obsolete World War II B-26 bombers, and painted them to look like Cuban air force planes. The bombers missed many of their targets and left most of Castro’s air force intact. As news broke of the attack, photos of the repainted U.S. planes became public and revealed American support for the invasion. President Kennedy cancelled a second air strike.

On April 17, the Cuban-exile invasion force, known as Brigade 2506, landed at beaches along the Bay of Pigs and immediately came under heavy fire. Cuban planes strafed the invaders, sank two escort ships, and destroyed half of the exile’s air support. Bad weather hampered the ground force, which had to work with soggy equipment and insufficient ammunition.

The Counterattack

Over the next 24 hours, Castro ordered roughly 20,000 troops to advance toward the beach, and the Cuban air force continued to control the skies. As the situation grew increasingly grim, President Kennedy authorized an “air-umbrella” at dawn on April 19—six unmarked American fighter planes took off to help defend the brigade’s B-26 aircraft flying. But the planes arrived an hour late, most likely confused by the change in time zones between Nicaragua and Cuba. They were shot down by the Cubans, and the invasion was crushed later that day.

Some exiles escaped to the sea, while the rest were killed or rounded up and imprisoned by Castro’s forces. Almost 1,200 members of Brigade 2506 surrendered, and more than 100 were killed.

So this CIA plan failed for three reasons,

  1. The CIA had used obsolete World War II B-26 bombers, and painted them to look like Cuban air force planes. The bombers missed many of their targets and left most of Castro’s air force intact.
  2. [P]hotos of the repainted U.S. planes became public and revealed American support for the invasion. President Kennedy cancelled a second air strike.
  3. President Kennedy authorized an “air-umbrella” at dawn on April 19—six unmarked American fighter planes took off to help defend the brigade’s B-26 aircraft flying. But the planes arrived an hour late, most likely confused by the change in time zones between Nicaragua and Cuba. They were shot down by the Cubans, and the invasion was crushed later that day.

So, in March 1960 the CIA, under President Eisenhower, created the plan to invade Cuba in order to overthrow Fidel Castro. The CIA then briefed President Kennedy on the plan before his inauguration and JFK gave the CIA a green light to implement it.

My take is that the CIA botched the invasion (obsolete aircraft, leaked photos, wrong time zones) to embarrass the incoming president on the world stage with his first major act in office. This gave Nikita Khrushchev, the leader of the Soviet Union, the upper hand in national security allowing the Russians to ship intercontinental ballistic missiles to Cuba.

This then led to the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis followed by JFK’s assassination on Friday, November 22, 1963.

Did the CIA have it in for JFK?

Tom Harris: CO2 is the Stuff of Life

Environmental scientist, Tom Harris gave a talk at a secret location in Ottawa in November to examine the scientism of ‘Global Warming’ and climate hysteria in general.

Tom also examined the connection between increasingly authoritarian policies being implemented and climate pseudo-science as the basis for these new restrictions on our liberties. Tom went one better.

He looked at the historical amount of CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere, and what the minimum requirement for life on Earth to exist actually is.

If there is a climate crisis, it is the opposite to what we are being sold.

ABOUT TOM HARRIS

Tom Harris is the Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC), a group of climate change skeptics that has received funding from the Heartland Institute. Before starting work with ICSC, Harris was the Executive Director of the now-defunct Natural Resources Stewardship Project (NRSP).

Prior to working with the NRSP, Harris was a Former Director of Operations at the Canadian PR and lobbying firm called the High Park Group (HPG). Previously, Harris was an Associate with APCO Worldwide, a group known for creating The Advancement of Sound Science Coalition (TASSC) which worked to advance tobacco industry interests.

According to Harris’s archived profile at APCO Worldwide, “Specifically, he has worked with oil and gas, coal, nuclear, environmental and aerospace clients for whom he has conducted effective media and public relations campaigns.” His profile also highlights how he has “worked with private companies and trade associations to successfully position these entities and their interests with media and before various government committees and regulatory bodies.”

The Heartland Institute describes Harris as “perhaps the most frequently cited and interviewed critic of exaggeration and alarmism in the global warming debate, appearing thousands of times on online news forums and being regularly published in newspapers in Canada and the U.S. and occasionally in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., and other countries.”

‘Climate Virtue Signaling’: Another Blue State Commits To Banning New Gas-Powered Car Sales By 2035

New Jersey will prohibit the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 in order to fight climate change, state officials announced Tuesday.

Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and Shawn LaTourette, the commissioner of the state’s Department of Environmental Protection announced Tuesday that Murphy would file the “Advanced Clean Cars Rule II” for adoption on Dec. 18, with the policy coming into effect on Jan.1, 2024. The policy will bind the state to completely phasing out the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035, with incremental benchmarks for increasing the minimum share of manufacturers’ new fleets that are zero emission vehicle requirements along the way.

“Here we see yet another Democrat elected official pandering for votes by interceding in the markets in a way that will create perverse incentives for automakers and inevitably higher costs for consumers,” David Blackmon, a 40-year veteran of the oil and gas industry who now writes and consults on the energy sector, told the Daily Caller News Foundation about the policy. “This is just one more example of why politicians are literally the very worst class of people in our society to be making energy-related decisions for the rest of us. Everything they do in this space only serves to make our situation worse.”

New Jersey joins a growing list of states that have adopted 2035 bans on the sale of new gas-powered cars. Other states with similar or identical policies include  California, Vermont, New York, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maryland and Connecticut, according to Coultra.

The state will start restricting the number of gas-powered vehicles that can be sold in the state in 2027, before arriving at zero in 2035, according to Murphy’s office. The 2027 benchmark will require manufacturers to ensure that zero emissions vehicles compose 43% of their new car fleets.

The policy does not ban ownership or use of internal combustion engine vehicles, and it will not bar the sale of used gas-powered cars, according to Murphy’s office.

“There is no justification, environmental or otherwise, to ban gas powered vehicles,” Tom Pyle, president of the American Energy Alliance, told the DCNF. “All it does is force automakers to charge more for the types of vehicles that consumers actually want to buy. This power grab by unelected bureaucrats will make it harder for tens of thousands of New Jersey residents to buy their first car.”

Environmentalists and other green energy advocates often tout electric vehicles (EVs) as the future of American transportation and car culture, but they have several significant problems that their gas-powered counterparts do not. Public charging station performance remains inconsistent, drivers often have range anxiety, EVs tend to perform poorly in cold weather and they cost significantly more than gas-powered cars.

“By filing the landmark Advanced Clean Cars II rule, New Jersey builds upon its standing as a national leader in climate action and its participation in the global Accelerating to Zero commitment,” Murphy said of the policy.

Notably, some of Murphy’s other decarbonization efforts have not gone as smoothly as hoped. In October, Orsted, a major offshore wind developer, terminated two massive wind farms off the state’s coast that were expected to provide low-emissions power to the state for years to come. Now, the company is attempting to get out of up to $300 million it owes the state, which could ultimately leave New Jersey taxpayers on the hook.

“Governor Murphy needed another means of climate virtue signaling since Orsted messed up his offshore wind plans by cancelling two major projects last month,” Blackmon told the DCNF. “This is what he chose.”

Murphy’s office did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

Trump Widens Lead Over Biden In New 2024 Poll

Former President Donald Trump has widened his lead over President Joe Biden by 5 points for a 2024 head-to-head matchup, according to a Tuesday poll.

Trump is beating Biden 47% to 40% among registered voters, with 13% remaining undecided, according to a Messenger/HarrisX poll. The former president’s margin of victory grew from his 2-point lead reflected in a previous Messenger/HarrisX survey released on Nov. 1, when 12% of registered voters were not sure of their choice.

Independents favored Trump over Biden at 45% to 32%, with 23% remaining undecided, and the former president also led among the crucial voting bloc in a four-way race with third-party candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West on the ballot, according to the survey.

Biden also trailed Trump by seven points in a four-way matchup, with independents Kennedy and West receiving 14% and 2% support, respectively, and 11% were unsure of their choice.

The survey follows a series of other national and crucial battleground state polls that reflect Trump leading Biden by several points. A New York Times/Siena College poll released on Nov. 5 found the former president winning in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania anywhere from three to 10 points.

While a majority of voters don’t believe either major party candidate should run for another term, 40% of Democrats are opposed to Biden’s reelection campaign compared to only 25% of Republicans who think the same of Trump, according to the survey. Biden also received a 39% approval rating with 57% disapproving of the president’s job performance.

Trump holds a 51-point lead over the remaining GOP primary candidates, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis following at 11%, according to the poll. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley received 10%, conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy brought in 4% and all other GOP hopefuls garnered less than 2% support.

Biden also held a significant advantage among the small field of Democratic primary contenders at 65%, with self-help author Marianne Williamson and Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips garnering 5% and 4% support, respectively.

The Messenger/HarrisX poll surveyed 3,017 registered voters between Nov. 15 and Nov. 19 with a margin of error of plus or minus 1.8%.

Neither Trump nor Biden immediately responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment.

EXCLUSIVE: Illegal Chinese Pot Grows Are Taking Over Rural Blue State And Law Enforcement Isn’t Stopping Them

PORTLAND, Maine — Illegal marijuana grows run by Chinese nationals have sprung up all across the state of Maine, and residents say law enforcement isn’t doing enough to stop their spread.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified 270 suspected Chinese illegal marijuana grow operations in the state that could be making an estimated $437 billion in revenue, which are often used for more criminal activities or are sent back to China, the DCNF exclusively reported in August. The DCNF visited dozens of properties identified as suspected Chinese marijuana grows by the DHS memo, as well as other locations reported to be possible Chinese marijuana grows by The Maine Wire.

Maine offers marijuana legalization, making it the perfect place for such operations, according to experts and officials who spoke with the DCNF. The lax laws, combined with record illegal immigration to the U.S. under the Biden administration, which has also limited deportations, provide cover to the grows.

“This is a failure I believe of both the state government and the federal government, and it’s time people start taking this more seriously,” Republican Maine State Rep. Austin Theriault, who is vying for Democratic Rep. Jared Golden’s seat in Congress, told the DCNF. “This is a lack of political will, there’s many other areas the government’s not afraid to get involved, but for some reason they’re not willing to put their foot down and start to crack down on some of these illegal operations and I want to see that happen.”

Chinese nationals who are either legal residents of the U.S. or asylum claims that prevent them from being removed from the country tend to operate such grows, a federal law enforcement source previously told the DCNF. The illicit operations run by Chinese nationals is likely done with the help of the Mexican cartels, who help with money laundering efforts used to obtain the properties, former head of the DEA’s Special Operations Division Derek Maltz previously told the DCNF.

The marijuana from illegal grow houses is also smuggled across Interstate 95, which provides a route all the way to Florida and to other areas of the country for the movement of contraband, cash and illegal aliens, according to the DHS memo.

“So, not only are they providing this unbelievably important service to the Mexican cartels by picking up the cash and doing the money transfers over the banking apps and stuff like that, but they’re using the cash in America to buy land, to buy real estate, to buy property to invest in these grow operations,” Maltz said.

Maine has become ground zero for the illicit pot trade, with hundreds of suspected grow houses dotting its rural countryside. The Maine properties visited by the DCNF had several key indicators that law enforcement officials said were signs of marijuana grows, such as a potent cannabis smell, enhanced commercial-grade electrical systems, heat pumps, propane tanks and blacked-out windows.

Despite the obvious signs of these grows operating in “plain sight,” law enforcement hasn’t busted many of them, Stanley W. Bell, the police chief of Clinton, Maine, told the DCNF.

“I try to stay plugged in, I try to know what goes on, but this didn’t hit anybody’s radar or anything,” Bell said, adding that the suspected illegal Chinese marijuana grows in his area aren’t licensed or registered with the state.

Maine voted to legalize marijuana in the state in 2016, while medical marijuana use has been legal since 1999. In 2020, the sale of recreational marijuana officially became legal, and Maine residents who are at least 21 years old can grow up to three mature plants and 12 immature plants for personal use, according to the state’s Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP).

OCP only has the power to regulate licensed operators in the medical and adult use programs in the state of Maine, the office told the DCNF.

“Unregulated and illicit cannabis operations are threats to the work that OCP does, to the livelihood and financial wellbeing of our licensed and compliant businesses, and to customers and patients in Maine who choose to use cannabis. When OCP uncovers, becomes aware of, or receives intelligence about illegal drug activity in Maine, it works closely with Federal and local partners to determine the best course of action to disrupt and dismantle illegal drug activities in Maine and to ensure the successful prosecution of such activities,” OCP said.

Bell, however, believes the legalization of marijuana has become a hindrance for law enforcement pursuing illegal grow operations, he said.

“I think because marijuana has been legalized in Maine for all these different caveats, retail or medical, it’s just not an interest item. The confidence is low in being able to get a case approved or passed through. Basically, none of us are doing really any marijuana enforcement anymore,” Bell said.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is aware of the presence of illicit marijuana grow operations in the state, and the agency’s administrator Anne Milgram briefed Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins on the issue Thursday.

The DEA didn’t respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

‘Taking Advantage Of A Small Town’

For years, small-town Maine residents have known about Chinese nationals operating pot grows near their homes. Some neighbors of suspected grow sites said they reported the homes to law enforcement, but said police have yet to shut the properties down.

One rural Maine resident, who wished to be identified as Sandra due to security concerns, said her home had lost power several times due to the extreme amount of electricity her neighbors installed for their pot operation that caused the transformer to blow.

“[They’re] taking advantage of a small town,” Sandra told the DCNF. “They give nothing back, and to be honest, degrade a community that was built by farmers. They make it weird and uncomfortable. Their message is ‘we’re going to use your small town to make big money because you don’t seem to care.’ Nothing good to offer and no respect for culture or sense of well-being.”

In some areas, the grow operations dump trash in the roads. One woman, who asked that she be identified as Kim, said she found marijuana paraphernalia and cigarettes from China in trash bags dumped near her home in rural Maine.

A Maine resident whose work involves knowledge of the power grid told the DCNF, under the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly, that they went from fixing one blown transformer in their entire career to 40 to 50 over the course of a couple of years.

One neighbor described an instance in which the Chinese neighbor demanded an easement for a power line to cross their neighbor’s land to have more robust energy.

‘This Is A Failure’

The DCNF, accompanied by Steve Robinson of the Maine Wire, spoke with several individuals who live at the homes identified by DHS and The Maine Wire as suspected illegal marijuana operations. In order to ensure security, the DCNF and Robinson did not reveal their media affiliations.

At one property in Clinton, Maine, the DCNF and Robinson encountered an Asian woman in the backyard after no one answered the front door of the home, which had blacked-out windows and an overwhelming smell of marijuana. During the encounter, the woman said it was her home.

“Is it a commercial marijuana grow or just recreational?” Robinson asked.

“Just regular,” the woman responded.

In Mexico, Maine, a suspected illegal marijuana grow sits within feet of a daycare, its playground and a school, the DCNF observed. The suspected grow house had blacked-out windows and smelled strongly of cannabis.

Maine requires licenses for cultivation, testing, products manufacturing, cannabis store and sample collector facilities.

The properties the DCNF visited were not registered with the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy, according to public lists of recreational and medicinal licenses.

The suspected illegal grow operations have taken over Maine’s second congressional district, which is currently represented by Golden. Golden, alongside bipartisan members of Maine’s congressional delegation, sent a letter to the Attorney General Merrick Garland in August urging him to shut the illegal enterprises.

“Residences are being taken up by illegal grow operations,” Republican Maine State Rep. Mike Soboleski, who, like Theriault, is running to unseat Golden, told the DCNF. “We could be housing our citizens there and we just don’t have enough.”

Despite the proliferation of Chinese marijuana grow operations across the state, law enforcement has been hamstrung due to cannabis’ legal status, which disincentives enforcement against illegal cannabis operations, Bell told the DCNF.

“I think the biggest deterrent to enforcement is we don’t know where the civil enforcement ends, and criminal enforcement begins,” Bell said regarding confusion over who has jurisdiction to go after the grows.

The Maine legislature is set to consider a bill in 2024 that seeks to target “racketeering by foreign organizations in Maine Cannabis markets.”

“The intention of the bill is to empower law enforcement and prosecutors to go after this scourge that’s infiltrating Maine’s legal cannabis markets. I want to untangle the jurisdictional mess so people know the chain of command,” Republican State Rep. John Andrews, who introduced the proposed legislation, told the DCNF.

“I think a lot of them [law enforcement and prosecutors] are focused on fentanyl and violent crime, so this kind of allows CCP marijuana, illegal grows to kind of slip under the radar, but it’s definitely time for this to stop,” Andrews said.

Golden’s office didn’t respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment.

A spokesperson for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said that “as a matter of course, when the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency uncovers, becomes aware of, or receives intelligence about illegal drug activity in Maine, it works closely with Federal and local partners to determine the best course of action to disrupt and dismantle illegal drug activities in Maine and to ensure the successful prosecution of such activities.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed it, along with other law enforcement agencies, which know about the alleged operations.

“As previously confirmed, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, as well as our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, have been aware of the existence of alleged illegal marijuana grow house operations in Maine. Maine is fortunate to have strong partnerships between all levels of law enforcement which regularly coordinate efforts,” the attorney’s office said.

“Mainers can be assured that if illegal business activities occur here, the law enforcement community will always do whatever is necessary and appropriate within the law to respond. In order to protect the integrity and capabilities of any investigations, we decline to provide additional comment at this time,” the attorney’s office said.

REMEMBER: ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction!’

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” — President Ronald Reagan

Sadly, during these times of great peril, truth is sacrificed by the politically correct, myopic, and self-serving in the liberally dominated media and the ruling class. People of courage and integrity must labor tirelessly to speak the truth and defend Liberty. We must not be silent. The people are crying out for freedom.

Laziness is a disease. I strongly urge you to get involved and get your friends and family to become part of this movement. We must keep America from losing to a group of loonies. We are living in a troubled time. This is the era of universal propaganda, lies, deceit, and the complete perversion of truth on all levels. Truth has become a dangerous ideology. Our responsibility, as citizens, is to build a bridge of truth over the sea of lies. George Orwell was not wrong in stating, “In an age of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” Truth has become the ultimate revolutionary act for these brave citizens.

2024 is the most critical election of our era. This is not a joke. We neither can nor must allow the repeat of the 2020 stolen election. That would be the end of America as we know it. Be vigilant. Start now. Fight for election integrity.

Please, people of faith. People who believe in God and aim to obey Him. This is your time; this is your call. Please stand up and protect our Liberty now. Time is of the essence.

The cause of the good is in dire need of stalwart champions. Be one.

“A stream of light shall pierce the darkness of ignorance and man’s oppression until Liberty enlightens the world.” — President Grover Cleveland

Thousands Sign Petition to Boycott Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade over Trans Agenda

‘Tis the season to boycott. At least that’s what 40,000 petitioners have signed up to do with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Dating back to 1924, the parade has been a beloved kickoff to the holidays. As New York City streets are filled with floats, costumes, dancing, music, and all kinds of talent, the event has traditionally been designed for family fun. But One Million Moms (OMM), an organization of Christians, have launched a campaign against the parade for its “liberal nonsense.”

This year, two performances will be featured from the Broadway musicals “& Juliet” and “Shucked,” which both have key actors who identify as either transgender or non-binary. OMM and those participating in the protest are concerned with the LGBT agenda being so heavily promoted at an event geared toward the family. As the group stated, “Shame on Macy’s for promoting and sponsoring this type of entertainment. … It is clear that Macy’s does not have our children’s best interests in mind.” The statement concluded, “Macy’s needs to know that trust must be earned, and once trust is lost, it is difficult to get back.”

Kristen Waggoner, president of the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), also added to the criticism, insisting, “Macy’s inclusion of a non-binary transgender character in a parade is just another example of an ideological war that’s being waged on families, and customers are saying they’ve had enough. But it seems that corporate brands that were once trusted just still aren’t getting the message.”

This isn’t the first time the parade has featured LGBT content. In 2018, there was a same-sex kiss that was broadcasted for thousands to see. And in 2021, Kim Petras, a man who identifies as a woman, performed. Petras recently said in an interview that his “goal” is for his fans to engage in sex during his performances.

The protest is geared toward two non-binary identifying actors who will be featured in the performances during the parade. The musicals being showcased are “& Juliet” and “Shucked.” The actor, Alex Newell, uses all pronouns and plays the character, Lulu, in “Shucked.” The other actor, Justin David Sullivan, also identifies as all pronouns. He plays the non-binary character, May, in “& Juliet,” the reimagined Shakespearean classic where Romeo dies, but Juliet goes on to experience love and life “her way.”

OMM’s petition has received pushback, and the organization is now considered a “hate group” by The Southern Poverty Law Center, a controversial leftist group with their own internal scandals. The New York Times’ Stefanos Chen wrote that this boycott is “the latest attempt to force companies to reverse course on social issues that some far-right groups consider too liberal.”

But despite opposition, Waggoner said what we are seeing is “parents stand up” against woke ideology to keep events such as these “family friendly and not teach our children values that we object to.” Ultimately, OMM, ADF, and those who are speaking out have made it clear that families just want to be able to enjoy events without worrying about what they or their kids will be exposed to.

Meg Kilgannon, senior fellow for Education Studies at Family Research Council, commented to The Washington Stand, “I hope there is a dog show or something else possibly appropriate for family viewing on broadcast television that day.” She explained how moms “are busy making delicious Thanksgiving meals for their families and friends to enjoy” and serving their communities, and that “it would be nice if Hollywood or Broadway could show their appreciation for families by not forcing a sexual agenda into what seems like every kind of entertainment.”

Kilgannon concluded, “The innocence of childhood and the excitement of the Thanksgiving Day parades should not be mutually exclusive. It’s important to keep this kind of activity family friendly for the other participants in the parade as well, since high school marching bands, community dance troupes, and other family organizations have traditionally participated in the parade.”

As Homeownership Costs Soar and Inflation Persists, Americans Sour on Biden’s Economy

President Joe Biden turned 81 years old on Monday, and he was greeted with the lowest approval rating ever recorded by NBC News at 40%. While a large part of the number is due to Democrats’ disapproval of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict, it’s also likely a reflection of an economy that continues to struggle under the weight of persistent inflation, skyrocketing mortgage rates, a decline in full-time jobs, and ever-expanding federal debt.

The president has continued to tout “Bidenomics” in recent weeks, despite stating last week that he acknowledges there is a “disconnect between the numbers and how people feel about their place in the world right now.” Polls show that the American public is indeed not connecting with the White House’s messaging on a massive scale. A Fox News survey taken last week revealed that almost 80% of Americans rate the economy negatively.

As economists are pointing out, the raw economic numbers are a tremendous cause for concern. Joel Griffith, a research fellow in the Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation, joined “Washington Watch” last week to give a snapshot of where things currently stand.

“The typical family has lost more than $4,000 in real inflation, just adjusted income since President Biden took office, and that $4,000 pay cut is not even taking into account the rising home ownership costs,” he observed. “… [A]s [we]’ve seen real income decline, we’ve also seen credit card balances hit an all-time record $1 trillion. That’s about a $3,000 a family increase over the past year and a half, even as savings rates have plunged near all-time lows. Bidenomics has been a disaster for American families.”

Polls show that Americans are continuing to feel economic pain when they compare their income with prices. An Associated Press poll last month found that “three-quarters of respondents described the economy as poor,” with two-thirds saying their expenses have risen and only one quarter saying their income had also gone up. Compounding the problem is that the prices of many of the items that Americans most commonly buy have inflated substantially. Since February of 2020, the average price of a gallon of milk is up 23% ($3.93), a pound of ground beef is up 33% ($5.35), and a gallon of gas is up 53% ($3.78).

As Griffith went on to explain, one of the primary reasons for the decline in real income currently being experienced by Americans is the exploding cost of home ownership.

“If you’re looking to get a mortgage right now on a standard middle class home, that mortgage payment is costing you about $1,000 per month more than it would have cost you just a year and a half ago,” he noted. “… These are the worst economic conditions since the 1970s. … [T]hat was a time when we also had declining real income, and we also had sky high inflation. So arguably, it’s even worse now than it was then because it’s never been less affordable to buy a home. If you look to buy a home, it costs you about half of your income just to make the mortgage payments and the property taxes. It has never been this bad in terms of home ownership.”

Griffith further illustrated how reported job growth numbers are misleading. “[E]very month, the Biden administration loves to tout these jobs growth numbers. But what they fail to tell us is actually that over the last six months, we’ve actually seen a decline in full-time jobs. The only reason why we have seen the top line jobs growth numbers positive is because we’ve seen a surge in part-time jobs, meaning we have a lot more people today working double jobs just to pay the bills.”

As the national debt approaches $34 trillion, Griffith underscored how runaway federal spending is leading to unyielding inflation.

“[S]pending is out of control — it’s been out of control a long time,” he said. “The interest we’re paying right now on the federal debt is $10,000 per family per year. The amount of money that we’ve borrowed over the prior year is $25,000 per family of four. We cannot keep this up. A big part of the reason why families today are suffering from this inflation … is because for the last three years, we have spent wildly beyond our means, and we relied on our central bank to print the dollars to buy that debt.”

“We have to change this trajectory now, and I’m hopeful Congress will actually attempt to do so once they come back from Thanksgiving and Christmas break,” Griffith concluded.

DISASTER: 300 Convicted Terrorists To Be Released from Israeli Jails In Exchange for 50 Hostages and Ceasefire in Pending Deal

I vehemently oppose this deal.

How many more Jews will die as a result of this wicked ‘trade’ of monsters for victims?

And what of the hostages left behind?

What unimaginable fate awaits them?

This is beyond irrational, it’s catastrophic.

Israel should not stop.

Just fight.

Hamas, Israeli officials confirm deal nearly reached for release of 50-100 hostages

By: World Israel News, November 21, 2023:

Senior Israeli official and Hamas chief in exile Ismail Haniyeh say talks are close to securing deal to free 50-100 hostages in exchange for release of 300 terrorists.

By David Rosenberg, World Israel News

Brokered talks between Israel, the United States, and Hamas are close to securing an agreement for the release of civilians held captive in the Gaza Strip, in exchange for the release of hundreds of jailed Palestinian terrorists, AFP reported Tuesday morning.

A senior Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the two sides are “very close to a deal” to secure the release of dozens of hostages,” Channel 12 reported.

“The talks are very far along, we are just ironing out the small details.”

The Israeli government has yet to publicly comment on the possible deal.

Senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials confirmed to AFP Tuesday that both terror groups have already agreed to the basic outline of the deal now under consideration.

The agreement now being hammered out, the sources claimed, would see the freeing of between 50 to 100 civilians – both Israelis and foreign nationals – in exchange for the release of 300 convicted terrorists from Israeli jails.

While previous reports on the potential prisoner swap claimed that only female terrorists and terrorists under 18 would be release, the Islamic Jihad and Hamas officials said only that women and minors would be among the 300 terrorists that would be released.

A senior Hamas official in exile, Ismail Haniyeh, released a statement to AFP claiming that an agreement is likely to be reached soon.

“We are close to reaching a deal on a truce,” Haniyeh said.

Qatar, a patron of the Hamas terror organization, has been brokering talks between the Biden administration, Israel, and Hamas since the October 7th invasion which left over 240 captives in the Gaza Strip.

Translated from Hebrew of Ansbacher Yair on X post by Righteous in Sodom:

The Religious Zionist Party:

As much as the publications regarding the kidnap deal that will be brought to the government today are true, the proposed deal is bad and must not be agreed to.

Bad for Israel’s security, bad for the abductees and bad for the IDF soldiers.

We want to see all the abductees at home safe and sound and our hearts go out to their families. And precisely because of this, it is a deal that should not be agreed to.

The military pressure on Hamas is working and therefore Hamas and Yahya Sinwar are now offering such a deal. Hamas is desperate for days of truce in order to organize for the continuation of the fighting while conducting repeated manipulations with the rest of the abductees, and therefore it is necessary to continue the pressure and make sure that all the abductees are released.

We put before our face the remaining abductees, including IDF soldiers and female soldiers whose deal will leave them for an unknown period of time, raise their “price” and give Hamas the opportunity to organize to hide them and withstand IDF attacks for a longer period of time.

We are confronting the IDF soldiers who, during the cease-fire, will be exposed to attacks and threats of kidnapping and murder, with a limited ability to react, and an increased risk of life with the resumption of fighting after Hamas reorganized.

We confront the residents of the Otaf that the threat that harmed them and threatens to continue harming them will be left in place and will be established during the cease-fire days.

We place in front of us the citizens and soldiers who will be murdered and kidnapped in the future, in Israel and in other countries of the world, both by those released in the deal, and in order to exert additional pressure on Israel.

The only way to return all the abductees is by continuing to exert unceasing military pressure on Hamas until a complete decision is reached.

Religious Zionism will stand like a wall against the continuation of the war until the complete destruction of Hamas, the return of all the abductees and the removal of the threat posed by the Gaza Strip towards the citizens of Israel.

Liel Hatzroni, Age 12, Murdered by Hamas

Liel Hatzroni, age 12, was murdered by Hamas on October 7th.

Her remains have just been identified.

The story of her death — there are so many stories that must be told — is told here:

Forensic Team Identifies Body of 12-Year-Old Liel Hatzroni from Kibbutz Be’eri

i24 News, November 19, 2023:

The body of 12-year-old Liel Hatzroni has finally been identified, according to an announcement on Sunday, almost a month and a half after being murdered by Hamas terrorists who invaded her home on Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7.

Liel’s remains were found by archaeologists from the Israel Antiquities Authority who had been called in to help locate and identify bodies, particularly those badly burned to the point of being nearly unrecognizable. The Hatzroni family was informed Saturday evening.

Terrorists entered the Hatzroni family home and kidnapped family members on October 7, who were then taken to a home of Be’eri resident Pessi Cohen, where the Hamas operatives murdered the family and set the house on fire.

The family had already on Wednesday organized a funeral ceremony for Liel and her great-aunt Ayala. Her twin brother Yanai and her grandfather Avia were buried on October 23. The family were all killed during the October 7 massacre.

Liel’s personal effects were buried at the time, in the absence of her body, which had not yet been identified. The family held the farewell ceremony, unable to wait any longer for the body.

“We will honor her departure from us with a farewell ceremony and by burying her belongings. My heart is broken and shattered, and refuses to believe it. It’s an ongoing nightmare, and I’m not sure we’ll wake up,” a close friend, Omri Shifroni, wrote on Facebook ahead of the ceremony.

The twins had been raised by their great-aunt Ayala and grandfather Avia since birth, after their mother Shira suffered a stroke during a C-section birth. Kibbutz Be’eri had also helped as a community.

Think of her little life, her mother incapacitated by a stroke since Liel’s birth, and then think of how she died. She was most likely shot to death, murdered along with her twin brother, Yanai, and her great-aunt, Ayala, and her grandfather, Avia, who together helped to raise her and her brother. And then the house they had been herded into was set on fire. Perhaps her killer was the one who phoned his mother to excitedly tell her “Mom, I killed ten Jews!”

It’s unbearable.

VIDEO: Hamas’ 2019 vows to ‘cut off heads,’ ‘slit throats,’ and ‘slaughter every Jew on the planet’ were ignored

I tried to tell you.

Hamas’ threats to ‘cut off heads,’ ‘slit throats,’ and ‘slaughter every Jew on the planet’ in 2019 were ignored

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, Palestinian Media Watch, November 19, 2023:

Hamas’ massacre of Israelis on October 7 shocked everyone in Israel and abroad. So did the brutality of the attack, the cruelty of the murders, and the inhumanity of the torture.

But there were warnings, and the slaughter of at least 1,200 Israelis, the wounding of over 4,800, and the kidnapping of at least 238 hostages should not have come as a surprise.

One of those warnings was in 2019, when Hamas Political Bureau member Fathi Hammad explained in detail Hamas’ intentions, goals, and aspirations: To murder “every Jew on the planet”:

Hamas Political Bureau member Fathi Hammad: “We are sharpening the knives… We were created here in Gaza to shatter and get rid of this [Zionist] entity…    If we die it will be when we are killing you [Jews], and we will cut off your heads, Allah willing… There are seven million Palestinians abroad… You have Jews everywhere. We must attack every Jew on the planet – slaughter and kill… And you, the people of the West Bank… We want the knives to come out. Five shekels [for a knife] – isn’t the throat of a Jew worth five shekels to us? … I will die as I blow up and cut – what? The throats of the Jews and their legs. We will tear them to shreds, Allah willing.”

[Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas), July 12, 2019]

Through the prism of Hamas’ massacre and attack on Israel on Oct. 7, the statement by Hammad in 2019 now looks like a chilling forecast. Hammad’s words also stress that Hamas’ goal – as the terror organization states in its charter – is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews, not only in Israel but in the entire world….

After Gaza, The Great Sorting Begins

Palestine | MEMRI Daily Brief No. 545

As the Hamas-Israel War of 2023 entered its second month, there is some clarity in the region amidst much uncertainty.  There are some things that are very different and some which are strikingly similar. Certainly, for Israel, the attack launched on October 7th, 2023 and the slaughter by Hamas of over a thousand Israeli citizens changed much in terms of Israelis’ sense of their own security. The effect of this attack on Israeli policies going forward will be dramatic in ways we do not fully understand.

For the ordinary Palestinians in Gaza, the war has been a disaster much larger and deeper than previous, periodic exchanges of fire between Hamas and Israel. Another change has been the (so far only partial) debut of Iran’s network of militias and terrorist groups in the region. While Hamas has been taking the full force of Israel’s response, the Iranian-directed network has allowed the Houthis in Yemen to lob long-distance missiles and drones at Israel while Iranian surrogates in Syria and Iraq have mostly concentrated on attacking American bases in those countries.  Hizbullah, the jewel in the crown of this Iranian regional network has so far refrained from fully entering the war.

As for the region as a whole and the Muslim world in particular, the anger and turmoil has been extensive but – some may disagree with me – it has been very much along the lines seen in past bloody confrontations between Israel and its adversaries, larger at times but similar in noise, scope, and impact. I lived through two of those confrontations while in government – the 2006 Tammuz War with Hizbullah and (while working in Jordan) the so-called battle of Jenin in 2002. Both of these clashes were shorter and smaller than the current war, but the discourse was similar, a mixture of euphoria at the beginning followed by rage at the end and vacillations between the two. This current war may change the face of Israel and of the Palestinians, but I doubt what, if any, lasting effects it will have on the region as a whole.

Where the Gaza War is indeed breaking new ground is not so much in the region – more of the same there – but in the West. The size and the scope of pro-Palestine marches and activism has been unprecedented. Some of this is due to unchecked migration to the West over the past decades and clearly many of the demonstrators comes from migrant Muslim backgrounds. But also, Muslim demonstrators have been joined by the local, homegrown left – young Socialists, Communists, Greens and others. And not surprisingly, advocacy for Palestine has inevitably included violence and intimidation of Jewish communities from Australia to Harvard.

Large demonstrations in the West about foreign policy issues are not new. There have been large protests in the past about American nukes in Europe or about the war in Iraq. Twenty years ago, in the United States, hundreds of thousands of young people rallied to “Save Darfur.” Decades earlier the U.S. War in Vietnam led to mass protests worldwide, especially among American and European university students. But all of those rallies, even the largest, were essentially standalone protests on particular niche issues. The people doing them may have considered themselves leftists or liberals but an overall program transcending the specific issue at hand was rarely if ever enunciated except perhaps by a tiny, deeply committed political fringe. Darfur was forgotten as people moved on to other trendier causes of the moment, because Darfur was not connected to anything else.

In contrast, the pro-Hamas rallies in the West are nothing if not connected and “intersectional.” There is an overlap with the activism associated with Black Lives Matter, with Antifa and with progressive activism on gender and ethnic issues. While many joked at incongruous banners announcing “Queers for Palestine,” it actually makes sense if Palestine nationalism is seen as part of supposed liberation or anti-colonial movements in the Global South, which are themselves connected to anti-Western, anti-white or anti-system progressive movements embedded in Western societies.

The Great Sorting occurring will be confusing and jarring to many. The Democratic Party in the U.S. is – or was – the party of the overwhelming majority (68% in a 2021 Pew Research poll). It was also the party of the majority of American Muslims of American Jews (66% in a 2017 Pew Research poll). This means that those who may presumably be the strongest advocates of different sides in the conflict are to be found inside the same political party.

While a plurality of Americans (47%) support Israel in this war, 30% believe Israel has gone too far. But in contrast, among Democrats, a slight majority (51% in a late November 2023 NBC News poll) believe Israel has gone too far and only 27% believed that Israel’s military actions are justified. A wealth of other polling also shows younger people in general being more critical of Israel than older Americans.

Republicans are generally perceived as being more pro-Israel of the two American parties, but will this matter in 2024? Many of the public critics of Israel seen since October 7th also have a visceral hatred of the United States, seeing it, like Israel, as an oppressive, white, “settler colonialist” state. But Republicans have also grown increasingly wary of foreign entanglements after Afghanistan, Iraq, and Ukraine. The common wisdom in U.S. elections is that foreign policy issues don’t really matter. But will they matter this time, given that both on the left and on the right, foreign issues are now connected to broader domestic conceptions of nationhood, history, ethnicity and identity?

And beyond America, the mass rallies seen in favor of Palestine have been shocking to many in the West, showing how rapidly Western societies have been influenced by mass migration over the past couple of decades. Migration skeptics like Hungary’s Viktor Orban have been seemingly vindicated. And the alliance of much of migrant society (with a few notable exceptions) with the political left has been graphically revealed. This is the same political left which is extremely powerful if not hegemonic in Western academia, culture, media, and government bureaucracies. The same left which has the power to mobilize aggressive, media-savvy “instamobs” dominating both the street and media coverage. Reaction is surely coming from the political right, although it may come late in a political game where the political left has built-in institutional advantages.

The Great Sorting has already begun but how it will end is not clear. What began as the latest episode in a decades-long war over land in the Holy Land is potentially transforming politics in the West, rather than in the supposedly volatile Middle East, where it is largely business as usual.

Florida Leads on Iran Once Again

States have stepped up to make sure that their citizens do not unwillingly participate in providing corporate life support to a terrorist regime by doing business with, and investing in, companies that do business with Iran.  One state in particular has been especially active for years in policing its investments and business practices from benefiting Iran and other state sponsors of terrorism: Florida.

Since coming to power in 1979, and to the present day, the Islamic theocracy of Iran has murdered and kidnapped Americans, sponsored jihadist terrorism abroad, proliferated nuclear technology in violation of international agreements, and developed and deployed ballistic missiles to destabilize the Middle East and threaten American interests. As a result of these flagrant violations Iran has been under the diplomatic, military and economic sanctions of multiple nations, led by the United States.

During the Obama and Biden administrations however the U.S. federal government has sought to ease sanctions on Iran, and even transferred billions of dollars to the Ayatollahs in a futile effort to get an Iranian nuclear deal. In response Iran and its terrorist proxies have only increased their terrorist behavior.  As a result of failed federal leadership, more than 20 states have taken action to prevent their pension systems from investing in companies that do business in Iran’s energy sector, its chief revenue source. A few other states have gone further by prohibiting state contracts from going to companies doing business with Iran’s energy sector.

Last week Florida went even further. Led by State Senator Bryan Avila and Representative John Snyder, the Florida legislature passed a bill that Governor DeSantis signed into law on 14 November which greatly expanded the categories of “scrutinized” companies that will not be able to enter into contracts with the state of Florida.

Now, in addition to companies doing business with Iran’s energy sector being prohibited from doing business with Florida, businesses involved in the following sectors of the Iranian economy will get the same treatment:

  • Construction sector
  • Financial sector
  • Manufacturing sector
  • Metals sector
  • Mining sector
  • Petrochemical sector
  • Port sector
  • Shipbuilding sector
  • Shipping sector
  • Textile sector

Florida is now on the absolute cutting edge when it comes to making sure taxpayer-supported funds and activities do not end up benefiting Iran in any way.

Every state needs to take this action, especially as the Biden administration continues to take unilateral action to award Iran with billions of dollars.

‘Malpractice’: Dems Are Freaking Out Over Biden’s 2024 Reelection Plan

Democrats are growing increasingly concerned over how President Joe Biden is approaching his bid to win reelection in 2024, The Washington Post reported Sunday.

As Trump continues to lead Biden in a series of national and crucial battleground state polls, Democratic donors, elected officials, administration aides, campaign staff and strategists have great angst that the president could lose a second term, according to the Post. Many Democrats pointed to Biden’s age, his campaign’s lack of strategy, failure to sell what the campaign views as economic achievements and more in interviews with the outlet, largely on the condition of anonymity.

“The bad news is that everybody is wetting the bed inside of Biden world,” a fundraiser told the Post. “It’s really an unhappy confluence of Biden world donors’ cocktail party friends saying ‘Can’t you get him not to run,’ which is stupid and absurd if you know Joe Biden.”

Others expressed concern to the outlet over the lack of polling on certain issues that could help streamline the Biden campaign’s reelection strategy.

“The absence of polling explains stuff like ‘Bidenomics,’” a national Democratic consultant told the Post of the campaign’s economic policy platform. “It’s just malpractice.”

Some Democrats are also worried about the campaign’s lack of a plan to secure another term and what a second administration would look like, according to the Post.

“How many times in 2020 did you hear the president say, ‘Don’t compare me to the almighty — compare me to the alternative,’” David Axelrod, former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, told the Post. “Well, if I were them, I’d say, ‘Let the comparison begin,’ and push it on the contrast in values and policies and results that work for them.”

Multiple recent surveys have found Biden trailing Trump in crucial battleground states, including a New York Times/Siena College poll released Nov. 5 that suggested the president would lose in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Biden holds the Democratic primary field largely to himself, with only Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips and self-help author Marianne Williamson in the running. The RealClearPolitics average for a 2024 national Democratic primary, based on polls conducted between Oct. 27 and Nov. 14, indicates Biden is leading the small field with 72%, followed by Williamson with 7.8% and Phillips with 4.8%.

“Joe Biden is not a perfect person — no such person exists — and he has strengths and weaknesses as a candidate, to be sure, but he will be the Democratic Party’s nominee,” Democratic strategist and fundraiser Dmitri Mehlhorn told the Post. “Joe Biden is going to be the nominee, and he is the best bet to beat Donald Trump, and people have to help us make that happen because the alternative is Donald Trump and is a catastrophe for American democracy.”

Biden’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

U.S. Backing New Plan To Cripple Coal Industry At UN Climate Conference

The Biden administration is set to back a plan that would crush the coal industry at the upcoming United Nations (UN) climate summit, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

The U.S. will reportedly support a French plan to get the countries of the world to ban private financing of coal-fired power plants during the upcoming UN conference, known as COP28, according to Reuters. The plan is likely to drive a rift between countries like the U.S. and France and those like China and India, which are reliant on coal to feed their economies cheap and reliable electricity.

The proposed plan would allow the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to set coal standards for private financing companies that would allow regulators, ratings agencies and non-governmental organizations to track coal financing, according to Reuters.

The U.S., the European Union (EU) and Canada had been working together to assemble a strategy for phasing out coal, which they view as the leading threat to achieving international climate targets, according to Reuters. Approximately 73% 0f the electricity consumed in India is generated using coal, according to Reuters, and China permitted an average of two new coal plants each week in 2022, according to analysis conducted by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air.

“France has no coal, so their position banning it is easy. The U.S., on the other hand, has the largest coal reserves— by far— in the world,” Dan Kish, a senior research fellow for the institute for Energy Research, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Coal is the leading source of electricity in the world. All this does is make the rest of the world that is trying to get affordable electricity for their people align themselves with China and against the U.S. Uncle Sam is once again made to look like a Dunce under Joe Biden.”

India is reportedly likely to push back against the proposal, or any other proposal to set a deadline for a fossil fuel phase-out, according to Reuters. Indian delegates may reportedly push representatives of developed countries like the U.S. and France to become carbon negative, rather than merely carbon neutral, by 2050 to keep targets within grasp.

Beyond the reported plan to strangle private financing for coal plants, delegates are expected to discuss the shape and stipulations of a so-called “loss and damages” fund, a de facto international climate reparations program, at COP28. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry recently suggested that the U.S. will pay “millions” into the fund, a number that many activists and representatives of poorer countries find to be inadequate. China is unlikely to have any significant obligations to the fund because it is classified as a developing country, despite its status as the world’s top emitter and second-largest economy.

COP28 is scheduled to begin on Nov. 30 and run through Dec. 12.

Neither the White House nor the State Department responded immediately to requests for comment.
