‘The Left Is Out For Blood’: Biden’s DOJ ‘Weaponizing’ Law To Arrest ‘Political Enemies,’ Former Official Says

The Biden administration is “weaponizing” the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act to go after pro-life activists, an attorney who served under George W. Bush and Barack Obama told the Daily Caller.

“The left is out for blood, and Biden’s base is demanding prosecutions and the DOJ is providing them,” said Roger Severino, who served as an attorney at the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights division, the same division that enforces the FACE Act.

The Biden administration has charged at least 16 pro-life activists with a maximum of 11 years in prison for alleged violations of the act, which prohibits obstructing people seeking reproduction services. Pro-life activist Mark Houck allegedly pushed an abortion escort to the ground after a verbal confrontation. FBI agents swarmed Houck’s house and took him away at gunpoint months after the initial charges against him were dropped.

The DOJ charged the other 15 pro-lifers with allegedly obstructing entrances of abortion clinics and they face a maximum of 11 years in prison, when, under the law, first time violators of the FACE Act usually face a maximum of six months.

Past administrations have issued multi-year prison sentences for violations of the FACE Act in cases of a fatal shootingdeath threats, and damaging an abortion clinic with a Molotov cocktail, while people obstructing entrances to abortion clinics faced monetary fines and restraining orders.

Houck is being charged with the decade-long version of the FACE Act violation because the abortion escort “scraped his arm,” his attorney Peter Breen told the Daily Caller. “The charges shouldn’t apply at all, but even if they did, he’s being overcharged.”

“It’s outrageous that you would take a six-month misdemeanor … and turn it into a 10-year federal felony,” Breen added.

One of the other pro-lifers facing over a decade in prison, Paul Vaughn, never blocked the door of an abortion clinic, but was standing nearby, Breen claimed.

Severino, who served under both former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama from 2008 to 2015, said he’s “never heard of a charge being so excessive” as the 11-year maximum prison sentence and $350,000 fine put forth by the current administration for allegedly obstructing abortion clinic doors.

“This is law enforcement run amok. The FACE Act had always been enforced very rarely, because the pro-life movement is a movement of peace,” Severino said. “All of a sudden, they are inventing cases and doing sham prosecutions in an election year for purely political purposes to go after their political enemies.”

The DOJ did not respond to an inquiry from the Daily Caller asking if they have comment on whether the Biden administration has used the FACE Act more excessively than previous administrations.

The FACE Act also protects houses of worship and pro-life pregnancy centers, both of which have been firebombed across the country after the Dobbs decision. Thirty-three churches and 54 pregnancy centers have been attacked, according to the Catholic News Service. The DOJ has not prosecuted any cases of destruction against pro-life centers, Severino stressed.

The effort to arrest pro-lifers is specifically being pushed before the midterms, Department of Homeland Security official under the Trump administration, Ken Cuccinelli, told the Daily Caller.

“This has nothing to do with public safety. This is political virtue signaling to the radical-left base that has control of this administration,” Cuccinelli said.

“I think it will thoroughly backfire on them. I can’t think of a way they’ll get one more vote because they arrest these people, but I guarantee you, a lot [more] pro-lifers will stay home than might have for the midterm election,” he added.

FAU Poll: Hispanics Losing Confidence in U.S. Economy

BOCA RATON, Fla./PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Hispanics are increasingly concerned about their personal finances, leading to a decline in optimism in the U.S. economy during the third quarter, according to a new poll from the Florida Atlantic University Business and Economics Polling Initiative (FAU BEPI).

The Hispanic Consumer Sentiment Index dropped to 74.3 from 78.3 in the second quarter and 92 for the first quarter, the survey found.

Only 44 percent of the 454 respondents said they are better off financially than a year ago, down from 56 percent in the second quarter and 65 percent in the first quarter. In addition, a smaller percentage of respondents are more optimistic about their financial futures.

Hispanics also remain troubled over the cost of living, with 81 percent saying costs are going up, compared with 80 percent who said that in the second quarter.

“They are less optimistic about their personal finances because Hispanics spend a greater share of their budgets on items that have seen the most inflation, like used cars, food, gas and housing,” said Monica Escaleras, Ph.D., director of FAU BEPI in the College of Business.

In three other questions used to create the index, respondents were slightly more upbeat compared to the second quarter but not nearly as optimistic as the first quarter.

When asked about business conditions over the next year, 44 percent of respondents said they expect conditions to be good, up from 43 percent in the prior quarter but down from 55 percent in the first quarter.

Compared to the second quarter, a higher percentage of respondents (53 percent) expect good times for the country over the next five years, but that still was down from 61 percent in the first three months of 2022.

Finally, while 40 percent said now is a good time to buy a big-ticket item, 50 percent felt that way in the first quarter. Only 26 percent said it’s a good time to buy a house, but 49 percent felt that way in the first quarter.

In all the questions, Escaleras noted that younger Hispanics generally appeared more optimistic than their older counterparts.

The poll is based on a sampling of Hispanic adults from July 1 to Sept. 30. The margin of error is +/- 4.59 percentage points. The polling results and full cross-tabulations can be viewed here.

FAU Poll Shows DeSantis Leading Crist Comfortably in Race for Re-election

BOCA RATON, Fla./PRNewswire/ — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is on track for re-election, leading Democratic challenger Charlie Crist by 11 percentage points and garnering strong approval ratings, particularly for his response to Hurricane Ian, according to a new statewide poll from Florida Atlantic University.

In the race for Florida governor, DeSantis leads Crist 51 percent to 40 percent, a survey of registered voters by the Florida Atlantic University Business and Economics Polling Initiative (FAU BEPI) shows.

The Republican incumbent’s overall approval rating was 53 percent, and his hurricane response approval was better at 63 percent. In addition, 66 percent of respondents expect DeSantis to be re-elected.

“The governor’s hurricane response received strong approval among Floridians, who most likely favor him in the upcoming gubernatorial race,” said Monica Escaleras, Ph.D., director of FAU BEPI.

The survey of 719 Floridians also revealed that inflation was the most important issue to voters by a wide margin at 36 percent. Threats to democracy was the next most important issue at 19 percent. Interestingly, only 9 percent of respondents felt abortion access was an important issue.

In the U.S. Senate race, Republican incumbent Marco Rubio leads Democratic challenger Val Demings 48 percent to 42 percent, with 7 percent still undecided. Also, 60 percent of respondents expect Rubio to be re-elected.

“Republicans continue to perform well in Florida,” said Kevin Wagner, Ph.D., a professor of political science at FAU and a research fellow of the initiative. “If these numbers hold, Florida’s status as a battleground state might be in question.”

Wagner noted that both Democratic candidates are doing well with younger voters, but they will need higher turnout to close the gaps in these races.

Other findings showed that respondents favored DeSantis and former U.S. President Donald Trump to U.S. President Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup. DeSantis leads Biden 48 percent to 42 percent, while Trump tops Biden 45 percent to 41 percent.

Biden’s approval rating was underwater – 41 percent favored the job he is doing and 50 percent opposed.

The survey was conducted Oct. 12-16. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 3.65 percentage points. The polling results and full cross-tabulations are available by clicking here.

The Utter Cynicism and Confusion of the Hate America Crowd

I love this country.  It’s the best country on earth and I am fortunate to live here.  It amazes me that the Left has managed to convince so many people America is the worst country on earth and they should hate it.  Here are some recent examples:

A man was triggered by a woman wearing an American flag shirt in Minnesota.  He grabbed her by the neck, beat her, and threatened to kill her with a towel rack.  Also allergic to the American flag is a Reuters reporter who was so upset by a crowd of people waving the American flag near the U.S. Capitol, she tweeted about it.  But the colors of the flag are symbolic.  Red is for hardiness and valor.  White stands for purity and innocence, and the blue symbolizes vigilance, perseverance, and justice.  What would the Reuters reporter prefer?  A flag honoring depravity, timidity, and malevolence?  I doubt the reporter has thought this through.

The Fargo school board voted to stop reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at their meetings because, according to them, America does not have ‘liberty and justice for all’ and the phrase ‘under God’ excludes atheists and Buddhists.   Well, that’s interesting.  The Pledge of Allegiance swears fealty to our Republic.  Our Constitution guarantees a republican form of government in the states (Article IV, Section 4).  Representative government is part of what a republic means.  So does this mean the school board members don’t want to be elected to office again?  I don’t get it.

An elementary school in New Jersey changed its name, getting rid of Thomas Jefferson who wrote the Declaration of Independence.   I guess the school doesn’t want its pupils to have life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness.   Apparently, NPR doesn’t want people to have those things, either.  This year, it ended a 33-year tradition of reading the Declaration of Independence on the 4th of July.  Instead, it had a discussion of the importance of equal outcomes – ‘equity’ – and how the Republican Party is pushing the country into authoritarian rule.   Hmm…  Didn’t the Declaration of Independence rail against a “long train of abuses” and object to authoritarians shutting down colonial legislatures, preventing the people from making their own laws?  NPR’s reasoning is a little confused, here.

Not to be outdone, Cornell University removed a bust of Abraham Lincoln after getting one complaint. They removed a plaque with the Gettysburg Address, too.  The University didn’t explain its reasoning, but it didn’t matter that Lincoln called slavery immoral, freed the slaves, and bound up the nation’s wounds after successfully seeing it through the Civil War.  It must be that Cornell wants to see government “of the people, by the people, for the people” perish from the earth.

Which brings us to Wisconsin Democratic Senate candidate Mandela Barnes who said the founding of America was “awful” and we need to repair the damage of colonialism and slavery.  Mandela Barnes, meet Maurice Barboza, a mixed-race individual who is working to get a memorial built on the National Mall dedicated to the memory of the forgotten black patriots who fought on the side of the colonists in the Revolutionary War.  Maurice wrote a brilliant article which appears on my Potomac Tea Party website in which he describes how generations of blacks in America worked to “complete the Founders’ vision.”  The vision is outstanding, Maurice wrote.  But it took time for the country to extend the inescapable logic of the vision to all people, starting as it did from a position of allowing slavery.   Those generations of blacks “grasped the quintessential meaning of the Revolutionary War: ‘Those principles apply to me, too’,” Maurice wrote.  “The Confederacy strenuously fought this inexorable logic and perished.”

So anyone who is stuck on the sins of the founding – and hates the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Declaration of Independence – is willfully blind to the progress that has been made since America’s founding.  Which begs the question: Woke leaders know there’s been progress, so why are they playing this game?  Because it pays.  They’ll keep beating us up with this club as long as they think it’s working, as long as we let them.  Show them the guilt trip is over, and they’ll have to move on.

Liberty – as expressed in the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Declaration of Independence –  is a grand philosophical tradition and, no matter how Woke you are, I guarantee you would not like life without it.

The Perils of Palestine: A Multi-Dimensional Menace to Israel

Little analytical acumen is needed to grasp that a Palestinian state will comprise a multi-dimensional threat to Israel. Whether one considers height, width, length, or depth, such a state would entail existential dangers for Israel.

“It is difficult to imagine any other issue for which the international media have been so successfully exploited—from the point of view of the Arabs—as has the Palestinian issue. Not since the time of Dr. Goebbels [Head of the Nazi Propaganda Machine], there has ever been a case in which continual repetition of a lie has borne such great fruits…”– Prof. Amnon Rubinstein, in Palestinian Lies“, Haaretz, 30 July, 1976.

Support for a Palestinian state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea is driven either by malice or by ignorance: Either malice reflecting a desire to gravely undermine Israel’s national security and/or the personal safety of its citizens; or ignorance reflecting a gross lack of knowledge and/or appreciation of the consequences that such a state would have for Israel.

Lamentably, the specter of Palestinian statehood has once again re-emerged to occupy the forefront of the public discourse—not only with the ensconcing of the Biden administration in the White House, but also with the recent injudicious address to the UN by Israel’s interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

Ironically, the perils entailed in a Palestinian state were articulated with chilling accuracy by none other than arch-architect of the Oslo Accords, Shimon Peres, who, almost half a century ago, warned: “The establishment of such [a Palestinian] state means the inflow of combat-ready Palestinian forces (more than 25,000 men under arms) into Judea and Samaria; this force, together with the local youth, will double itself in a short time. It will not be short of weapons or other [military] equipment, and in a short space of time, an infrastructure for waging war will be set up in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip. Israel will have problems in preserving day-to-day security, which may drive the country into war, or undermine the morale of its citizens. In time of war, the frontiers of the Palestinian state will constitute an excellent staging point for mobile forces to mount attacks on infrastructure installations vital for Israel’s existence, to impede the freedom of action of the Israeli air force in the skies over Israel, and to cause bloodshed among the population… in areas adjacent to the frontier-line.”

Indeed, little analytical acumen is required to grasp that a Palestinian state will comprise a multi-dimensional threat to Israel. No matter which dimension is considered—height, width, length, and even depth—such a state would entail existential dangers for Israel.

Height—Topographic Elevation

Arguably, the most dramatic illustration of the unnerving vulnerability to which Palestinian statehood would subject the Jewish state is provided by a brief review of the topographic elevation.

The area designated for a future Palestinian state—in any conceivable configuration—dominates the heavily populated coastal plain, which extends below the limestone highlands that comprise much of that putative state. From those highlands, it is possible to control and oversee any, and all, activity—in terms of observation, firepower, and electronic surveillance in the coastal heartland of Israel—including:

  • Virtually all Israel’s airfields (civilian and military) together with the country’s only major international airport, Ben Gurion;
  • Nearly all Israel’s principal seaports and naval bases;
  • Centers of civilian government and military command and control;
  • Vital infrastructure installations and systems (power generation and conveyance, water production—desalination plants—and conveyance; major transport axes—road and rail—including the Trans-Israel Highway (Route 6);
  • About 80% of Israel’s civilian population and commercial activity.

All of these will be hopelessly vulnerable to attack by weapons being today employed against Israel and Israelis by hostile elements deployed in territory transferred in the past to Arab control.

Length—Extent of the frontiers

Surrender of territory in Judea-Samaria (a.k.a. “The West Bank”) for a Palestinian state would entail increasing the length of Israel’s eastern border at least fourfold—and possibly considerably more—depending on the parameters of the agreement reached. Indeed, the establishment of a Palestinian state would dictate dramatic changes in the contours of the frontier. Instead of about 75 km of a relatively straight border in the Jordan valley north of the Dead Sea, Israel would have to contend with a torturous and contorted frontier, hundreds of kilometers long, snaking perilously close to numerous population centers and transportation axes—see “Width” below.

Some proposals, which include autonomous enclaves, would enormously increase the interface between sovereign Israel and the Palestinian territories–to anything up to 1000 km., perhaps even more—making the ability to clearly demarcate and secure the the areas of Israel’s sovereign control virtually impossible.

Width—Resurrecting Israel’s narrow waist

Clearly, the establishment of a Palestinian state will entail Israel reverting roughly to its pre-1967 borders including a narrow 100 km long strip, in places barely 15 km wide, which comprises the country’s most populous area.

As Labor Party’s Yigal Allon, former head of the Palmach, and later Israel’s Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized, the pre-1967 lines “extend along the foothills of the Judean and Samarian mountains and along the Mediterranean coastal plain—that is, flat territory without any topographical barriers. This leaves central Israel with a narrow area that comprises the Achilles heel of the lines prior to June 4, 1967.” On the significance of this, he warned: “[T]he innovations and sophistication in weaponry…that have taken place, therefore, not only fail to weaken the value of strategic depth and natural barriers but in fact enhance their importance. This is even more true given Israel’s difficult geographic position.”

In similar vein, it was none other than Shimon Peres who, in the sternest terms, warned against reinstating the minuscule geographical width of the country that prevailed prior to 1967. According to Peres, “the lack of minimal territorial expanse places a country in a position of an absolute lack of deterrence, which in itself constitutes almost compulsive temptation to attack Israel from all directions He asserted that, in the modern era, “with the development of the rapid mobility of armies, the defensive importance of territorial expanse has increased.” Underscoring the dramatic vulnerability of pre-1967 Israel, Peres cautioned that Israel’s “‘thin waist’, which constitutes Israel’s most densely populated area,” would be indefensible against the range, firepower, and mobility of modern armaments. Ominously he observed: “Without a border that affords security, a country is doomed to destruction in war.”

Similarly, Allon warned that Israel’s “narrow waist” would serve “as a constant temptation to a hostile army in possession of hilly Judea and Samaria to attempt to inflict a fatal blow against Israel by severing it in two in one fell swoop. Moreover, this weakness would permit …an [Arab] army not only to strike at Israel’s densest population and industrial centers, but also in effect to paralyze almost all of Israel’s airspace…”

Depth—Water: The Dry facts

The western slopes of the hills, designated for a prospective Palestinian state, overlie important ground water sources—known as the Yarkon-Taninim Aquifer in the West and the Nablus-Gilboa Aquifer in the North— that for decades were a crucial component of Israel’s water supply. Excessive extraction and pollution in these aquifers could gravely—indeed, irreversibly degrade the supply of water to Israeli consumers.

Just how gravely this danger was viewed, even by elements on the Left, is clearly conveyed in a report by the late Reuven Pedazur, military correspondent of the far-Left Haaretz daily (Apr. 24, 1989): “Anyone who controls the water sources of the West Bank can, quite simply, dry out the coastal plain in Israel. Control of the two major aquifers, drilling of deep bore-holes, and subsequent intensive pumping in Western Samaria and in the Jenin and Tubas area are liable to leave the Jewish farmers of the Sharon without irrigation water, and the fields of the Jezreel Valley devastated.”

Indeed, over a decade (Nov.7, 1999) later, Aluf Benn, today editor of Haaretz, wrote an article entitled: “A Recommendation to PM Barak to retain Israeli control over the water in the West Bank,” expressing skepticism as to the viability of any agreement with the Palestinians regarding water. In it, he warned: “The principal danger is rooted in the feeble ability of the Palestinians to implement an agreement [as to the operation of shared water sources] consequently the proliferation of “wild-cat” drilling and excess extraction that will reduce the quality and quantity of the aquifers’ water.”

Of course, today, with the incorporation of large-scale desalination installations into Israel’s national water system, the country’s dependence on natural water sources has been considerably reduced. This, however, has not eliminated the hydro-strategic importance of the aquifers of Judea-Samaria. Indeed, a comprehensive survey–commissioned by the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies (today INSS)—by two senior hydrologists of TAHAL (then Israel’s Water Planning Authority), warned that for various hydrological and ecological reasons”Even when desalination becomes a significant source of supply, the importance of the Yarkon-Taninim aquifer will not decrease as a seasonal and long-term reservoir.” (p.105)

Indeed, even today, excess extraction, unsealed (or poorly sealed) municipal garbage sites, and untreated flows of urban sewage or industrial effluent in the areas designated for a Palestinian state can gravely imperil Israeli water sources—including subterranean storage areas in the aquifer. Without Israeli presence –and authority—in the western slopes of Judea-Samaria, Israeli would be powerless to contend with these impending menaces.

“With the two-state solution… Israel will collapse”

In view of the preceding analysis, it is intriguing to discover what senior Palestinian figures think of what really lies behind the two-state principle. In a 2009 article, headlined “Palestinian Official Says Two-state Solution Will Destroy Israel,” the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon and member of Fatah’s Central Committee, Zaki Abbas, candidly asserted: “With the two-state solution… Israel will collapse… What will become of all the sacrifices they made – just to be told to leave? … The Jews consider Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If the Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse. It will regress of its own accord. Then we will move forward.”

Things could hardly be clearer!

Congressional Black Caucus Backs White Dem Over Black Republican Candidate

Breitbart News reports that although the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) purports to use its resources to ensure black Americans “have the opportunity to achieve the American Dream,” they are supporting a white Democrat congressman over black Republican candidate Jennifer-Ruth Green.

Green is running for Congress in Indiana’s first congressional district to replace incumbent Rep. Frank Mrvan (D). If elected, Green would be the only black Republican woman in the U.S. House of Representatives.

But the Left deems black Republicans to be race traitors, so the CBC decided to donate $5,000 to Mrvan’s reelection efforts in the final days of the third fundraising quarter.

Although the CBC’s founders envisioned the caucus as a non-partisan organization, they avoid accepting black Republicans into the group. For example, the CBC reportedly prohibited black Republican Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) from joining last year.

Although the CBC donated $5,000 to Mrvan, Green still out-fundraised Mrvan by nearly $500,000 in the campaign’s third quarter. Green reported roughly $1.4 million raised from July to September, while Mrvan reported raising less than $940,000.

Green similarly out-fundraised Mrvan in the campaign’s second quarter by more than $200,000, at $561,329.50 compared to Mrvan’s $355,906.37.

Border Council President Calls for Mayorkas’ Impeachment

National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd said on Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s (R-TN) Unmuted with Marsha podcast that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas committed an “impeachable offense” by lying about an incident in which border patrol agents were accused of whipping Haitian migrants.

Discussing the recent news that open-borders fanatic Mayorkas knew that reports of the iconic photo showing a Border Patrol agent “whipping” a Haitian migrant were false but ran with this information anyway, the Tennessee conservative asked Judd how this revelation made him and other border patrol agents feel.

“There’s nothing that will get my blood boiling more than this story,” Judd replied. “This was the biggest illegal immigration event in the history of the United States, there were thousands, in this particular time, there were ten thousand people that were camped out under a bridge in the United States. It literally looked like a warzone.”

Judd noted that the photographer who took the picture even stated that not one border patrol officer whipped a migrant.

“The day that he [Mayorkas] got the initial report, he actually backed the agents up, but then you had President Biden come out [with] his rhetoric and accuse these agents of a criminal act of strapping these people, which would have been a felony,” he said.

“The problem is when you lie to the American public you should be held accountable. He was Senate-confirmed and because he lied to the American public I believe he perjured himself. I personally believe that’s an impeachable offense.”

Mayorkas Likens Conservative “Extremists” to the 9/11 Terrorists

On September 11, 2022 — the 21st anniversary of the deadly 9/11 terrorist attacks — Mayorkas said on MSNBC’s The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart: “The threat landscape has evolved considerably over the last 20 years. Back when 9/11 occurred, in those years we were very focused on the foreign terrorist, the individual who sought to do a severe harm to enter the United States and and do us harm…. We are seeing an emerging threat, of course, over the last several years of the domestic violent extremist. The individual here in the United States radicalized to violence by a foreign terrorist ideology, but also an ideology of hate, anti-government sentiment, false narratives propagated on online platforms, even personal grievances.”

VIDEO: Remembering Donald J. Trump’s Warnings at the September 24, 2012 Liberty University Convocation

On September 24, 2012 at Convocation, North America’s largest weekly gathering of Christian students, Donald Trump began his speech with the dire state of the nation’s economy and its failed foreign relations and then engaged students for 30 minutes about the values that brought him to the pinnacle of real estate development and business success.

Donald J. Trump finished by addressing a few questions from students, which had been texted during the speech.

Trump also spent time praising Liberty for its notoriety and honoring its founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr., whom he had met on several occasions and Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.

Prior to his speech, Trump was awarded an honorary doctorate of business in recognition of his, “unwavering and public commitment to our nation’s founding principles of limited government, individual liberty, and the free enterprise system, and in further recognition of his iconic status as one of America’s most successful visionaries and entrepreneurs.”

Stacey Abrams’ Plan to Fight Inflation: Abort Your Children

Stacey Abrams and other Democrats are fighting for abortions at eight, nine months and post birth. And they think they have the moral high ground. Monsters.

And now Abrams has made the abortion issue not just about women and reproductive rights, but about inflation. The Biden regime has wreaked havoc on the economy. Inflation is skyrocketing because of the regime’s corrupt tendency to throw money to all its cronies, including Zelensky, and because of the regime’s war against the domestic oil industry. And now, instead of returning to responsible fiscal policies, Stacey Abrams is arguing that the solution is simply to abort your babies. Again: monstrous.

PHILADELPHIA: Gender Clinic Trained Employees At Schools To Hide Students’ Gender Identities From Parents

This is pure evil. The country has lost its way.

The left’s war on the family, the basic building block of civilization, is part of their war on G-d. This is a culture that is embracing degeneracy, depression and death.

Eliminating parental authority paves their way to absolute control and autocracy.

The case against this horrendous surgery is a whole other matter. Ten to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers.

EXCLUSIVE: Philadelphia Gender Clinic Trained Employees At School That Hides Students’ Gender Identities From Parents

by Chrissy Clark, Daily Caller, October 19, 2022:

A Philadelphia gender clinic provided training materials to public school employees in a Pennsylvania district that asks educators to use students’ preferred names and pronouns without informing parents, according to training slides and emails obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

A Southern Lehigh School District guidance counselor emailed the training materials from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to several educators on Sept. 15, 2021. Several district employees attended the CHOP training off-site, and one disseminated the information to colleagues.

Approximately three weeks later, the district’s intermediate school principal sent an email to educators stating that they should not inform parents about a child’s perceived gender identity. The intermediate school’s vice principal was a direct recipient of the CHOP training materials.

The presentation obtained by the Caller called for schools to be “affirming” of a children’s perceived gender identities. Educators are encouraged to use the word “students” instead of “boys and girls” when referring to the classroom. CHOP also urged educators to include “examples of LGBTQ people in lessons,” beginning in elementary school.

CHOP recommends that elementary schoolers read books about pronouns, such as “They, She, He Easy As ABC,” and books about young boys dressing in drag, such as “Julian Is A Mermaid.” The materials also call on middle and high school classrooms to “critically examine roles and messages (now and throughout history)” and to “build allies and advocacy.”

The training goes on to encourage educators to “follow [a] child’s lead” and to “allow room for exploration” of his or her gender.

In separate training sessions provided by CHOP to school districts throughout Pennsylvania in 2020, the gender clinic told educators to keep students’ gender identities secret from parents.

“If we disclose this information without someone’s involvement, without them giving us permission, we are setting them up for a negative, potentially harmful, unsafe experience,” the training video says. “So when we get this information, we keep it private from other students, from other staff members and from parents.”…

‘Only Two F*cking Genders’: Ocasio-Cortez Townhall Goes Completely Haywire As Protesters Shout Her Down

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall went downhill Wednesday night after protesters shouted her down.

Ocasio-Cortez was hosting a Listening Forum Event in Astoria, Queens, when a large group of protesters began chanting “AOC has got to go.” Several of the protesters held up signs, with some reading, “Fuck Joe Biden,” “Wake up New York” and “Agenda 2030 U.N. Is Dirty.”

As Ocasio-Cortez spoke about LGBTQ centers, one protester asked, “So if I don’t have butt sex, I can’t have a place to live?”

“Sir, your sexual orientation has nothing to do with it,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. The man then said the centers were “racist against straight people.”

Another man then stood up, and though his speech was inaudible, the rest of the crowd broke out into a “let her speak” chant.

Eventually Ocasio-Cortez, addressing a woman in the crowd, said, “Ma’am, you are saying you ask us why, you’ve been talking for twenty minutes, we know why, we know why you’re mad, let’s talk about it.”

“I am not mad. There are only two fucking genders,” the woman shouted back in response.

This wasn’t the first time Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall was interrupted by protesters. The congresswoman was shouted down by a pair of protesters one week prior at a town hall in the Bronx. One protester slammed Ocasio-Cortez for voting to send weaponry to Ukraine, with one protester saying she should really focus her efforts on calling for peace.

Iran: Christian activist forced to strip, says Islamic regime uses sexual violence against female protestors

The idea is to humiliate and degrade them, and by raping them, to deny them a place in paradise, for in Islam it is entirely the woman’s responsibility to prevent a man from being tempted (hence the hijab, chador, niqab, burqa), and if he is tempted anyway, it’s her fault.

Exclusive: ‘Was forced to strip, govt uses sexual violence against female protesters,’ says Iranian Christian activist

by Annu Kaushik, Firstpost, October 17, 2022:

In 2020, Mary Mohammadi was taken to a detention center near Iran’s capital Tehran. Officials told her that her hair was visible.

In the basement of the all-female detention center, Mary was forced to strip.

“If my hair is a problem, is it not a problem to force me to take off all my clothes? Is this Islamic?,” Mary told Firstpost in an exclusive conversation.

The incident was part of the sexual violence that the regime has been using to suppress female protesters and activists, Mary said.

“During protests, security personnel touch female demonstrators inappropriately. They want to make women fearful of stepping out,” she said.

24-year-old Mary has been on the radar of Iranian officials for several reasons. Born to a Muslim family, she converted to Christianity in 2017.

Christian converts and other religious minorities like the Bahais are not recognised in Iran.

Over the last few years, Mary has faced persecution from the authorities in the form of arrests and interrogations due to her faith as well as activism.

The personnel who transferred her to the detention center in 2020 belonged to the morality police which is currently in the eye of the storm due to the death of Mahsa Amini which has triggered nationwide protests in Iran.

But it’s not just the morality police who target women for not wearing the mandatory hijab or a head scarf or wearing it improperly.

According to Mary “radical Muslims do it too.”

In 2019, Mary was on a bus in Tehran. It was a hot day and she had taken off her hijab. Suddenly a fully veiled woman approached Mary and asked her to cover her hair.

“When I refused, an argument ensued during which the woman attacked me & my face was left bloodied,” Mary said.

The activist somehow managed to take the woman to the police station. According to Mary, the officers dissuaded her from filing a complaint and even threatened her with arrest.

“They (police) were very kind to that woman. They let her go at 10 pm but kept me in custody till 3 am,” she added.

“Radical Muslims can even attack minorities in public because the regime is behind them,

“Islamic hijab is mandatory in Iran even for non-Muslims. I am a Christian but I must wear hijab,” she said.

Mary’s activism and faith also took a personal toll. Without giving any reason, her university barred her from appearing in exams.

But what was more hurtful for Mary was the treatment meted out to her by a former employer who was also a close friend.

“The gymnast training center where I worked was shut down during the COVID lockdown. I kept asking my employers when I can return and they told me and they are still closed,” Mary said.

One day, the activist turned up at the center unannounced and saw that it was fully operational.

Mary was not given her job back and believes that her employer and the university faced pressure from the authorities.

Constant threats that Mary said were from the authorities forced her to flee Iran in February 2022. The activist who is currently living in the US told Firstpost that in her home country security forces “continue to use sexual violence in the ongoing protests.”…

Starts With Us Rallies the 87% of Americans Who Are Tired of Political Division by Sending 87 ‘Abraham Lincolns’ to Times Square Ahead of Midterm Elections

Growing Movement Partners with Creator Karen X. Cheng on Augmented Reality Filter to Deliver an Urgent Message from the 16th President on the $5 Bill.

NEW YORK, NY /PRNewswire/ — Starts With Us, a rapidly growing movement to overcome extreme cultural and political divisions in America, today unleashed 87 Abraham Lincolns on Times Square with a timely message for our nation to resist the urge to get caught up in divisiveness this election season. The Lincolns represent the 87% of Americans who are tired of how divided we are politically. These Americans overwhelmingly feel we need to make a change in our politics to preserve our democracy according to a new poll fielded by Starts With Us in partnership with YouGov.1

Invoking the legacy of Lincoln, who is known for preserving our democracy through a period of existential division and Civil War, the 87 Lincolns will inspire citizens to choose connection and cooperation for the common good, regardless of opposing political views and social stances.

“Every day, the discourse in our country gets more polarized and extreme, especially within the media and politics. We are increasingly closed off to ideas that challenge our own, and this has only become more pronounced as the midterms approach,” says Tom Fishman, CEO of Starts With Us. “Through this initiative, Starts With Us will remind those exhausted by our political and social climate that together we can make a change despite the divisive forces working against us.”

The 87 Lincolns campaign is being amplified globally through an augmented reality (AR) camera effect in partnership with director Karen X. Cheng. Individuals may access the filter on Instagram by visiting www.startswith.us/moneytalks. By pointing the camera toward a five-dollar bill or an image of one, users can unlock the following message from the country’s 16th President: “Our country has become so polarized, so crazed, when really it’s compassion and cooperation we crave. Whichever way you lean, we can all agree, it starts with us to make the vibes less extreme.”

“I’ve realized over the last few years -– so much of social media is designed to divide us. America has gotten so polarized, and social media has contributed to that. The algorithms are designed to reward anger,” says creator Karen X. Cheng. “I wanted to design a filter that does the opposite. One that carries a message of compassion and unity, rather than anger and division.”

Another Starts With Us poll found that more than two-thirds of U.S. adults share the concern that this year’s midterms will further divide America. The same survey uncovered that more than three-quarters of adults are open to being a part of the solution to overcome our divided culture leading into the election. The Most Dangerous Man in the World

In 1683, the most dangerous man in the world escaped from England to the Netherlands.

He didn’t look very formidable. He was 51 years old, lanky, and asthmatic. He had, according to one description, a “long face, large nose, full lips, and soft, melancholy eyes.”

Yet the King of England considered him one of his deadliest enemies. As the right-hand man of Charles II’s chief political opponent in the country, he was suspected of conspiring to assassinate the king.

But what really made him a threat to the throne was not his skill in the lethal arts, but his genius in the literary arts.

In the hand of John Locke, the pen was truly mightier than the sword.

Locke sailed out of England with a powerful weapon: one that would eventually overthrow, not just one monarch, but all of them. That weapon was a book, at that point an unpublished draft: Two Treatises of Government.

That book was a systematic philosophical case for liberty. Locke knew that his anti-absolutist book might get him killed by England’s absolute monarch. Indeed, later that year Locke’s ally Algernon Sidney was executed for treason, and Sidney’s Discourses Concerning Government were cited as evidence in his trial.

So Locke did not publish his Treatises until 1689, the year after Charles’s successor James II was deposed in the “Glorious Revolution”—and even then, only anonymously. Locke publicly denied authorship throughout the rest of his life, only admitting it in his will. Locke died in 1704.

Later in that century, the ideas in Locke’s Two Treatises of Government became the elements of America’s founding philosophy:

  • Equality, in the original sense, not of equal abilities or equal wealth, but of non-subjugation;
  • Inalienable Rights, not to government entitlements, but to life, liberty, and property;
  • Democracy, in the original sense, not of mere majoritarian voting, but of popular sovereignty: the idea that governments should not be masters, but servants of the people;
  • Consent of the Governed: the idea that governments can only legitimately govern by the consent of the governed, i.e., the sovereign people;
  • Limited Government: the idea that the sole purpose and proper scope of legitimate government is only to secure the rights of the people;
  • Right of Revolution: the idea that any government that oversteps its limits and tramples the very rights it was charged with securing is a tyranny, and that the people have a right to resist, alter, and even abolish tyrannical governments.

These ideas animated the American Revolution and permeated the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The enormously successful American experiment caused the global prestige of Lockean political philosophy to soar. As Locke’s political principles were adopted throughout the world, liberty spread and absolutism receded.

The ideas contained in the papers that John Locke smuggled across the water from England in 1683 turned the world upside-down: or rather, right-side-up.

This wondrous achievement for humankind has since been partially reversed in many ways. Enemies of liberty have twisted Locke’s terms to pervert their meaning and serve modern variants of absolutism.

But world history took a much freer course because Locke lived, thought, wrote, and published.

Whether he knew it or not at the time, John Locke was the most dangerous man in the world as well as the most heroic: a menace to tyrants and a liberator of generations.

For more on John Locke’s life, works, and influence, read Jim Powell’s wonderful profile, “John Locke: Natural Rights to Life, Liberty, and Property.”
