A Pack of Wolves

Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron responded to the terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, in which two of more than 17 hostages were killed by an Islamic extremist. Referring to “lone wolf terrorists,” he said this was a reminder of danger that Britain faces.  It would seem to me that we have had enough Lone Wolves to constitute a substantial wolf pack, and enough “extremists” to consider them “conventional.”

How many people must die before heads of state concede that the crimes worldwide are not extreme, not unusual, and not lone wolves?

This is Islamic-style warfare against the West, without the sophisticated weaponry, khaki uniforms or tanks. It is time to connect the voluminous dots between the burnings and beheadings in 624 AD and those executed today.

We so naively call them self-starters or lone wolves when, daily, thousands of individuals are inspired and encouraged by an imam in a mosque to be a Soldier of Allah, eagerly awaiting his turn to immerse himself in the blood of infidels.  Perhaps the designation helps the West cope with the 1.3 billion Muslims who have unleashed their millions into the world.  Perhaps the singular terminology keeps the West from considering war against the multitudes, or courageously declaring the Qur’an and Sharia antithetical to Western beliefs, or fear of inciting the so-called moderates to reach their full barbarous potential.

image001 (3)Must someone remind PM Cameron of the infamous 7/7 bombing of 2005 in London’s underground, or the new converts to Islam who beheaded British soldier, Lee Rigby, on a London Street?  Consider America’s Major Nidal Hasan, the psychiatrist who killed 13 and wounded 28 at Fort Hood, Texas; the Tsarnaev brothers, who killed two and injured more than 260 athletes and spectators at the Boston Marathon; the Itamar massacre of five members of Israel’s Fogel family and the more recent beheading of four rabbis and a policeman during religious services.

It is time to come to terms with the truth – that self-radicalization is a myth to befuddle the reality of the demonic cult, where the lone wolf is not alone but, rather, a product of Islam, trained from birth or conversion to hate and kill.  The West has chosen to disbelieve the incomprehensible because this is an army unlike any we have fought, with different rules, and different means of carrying out their depraved agenda of enslavement, torture, and destruction.  Not clad in khaki uniforms, these demons may be disguised as normal humans in street clothes, prepared to strike with the simplest and smallest of weapons – a knife or a vial of acid.

While the situation is deteriorating rapidly, the West is turning out students who are ignorant of Islam.  Taught by the left, liberals, Marxists, and Islamic apologists, from revised textbooks, our students are indoctrinated to believe that Islam is Religion of Peace, when in fact it has been a religion of conquest and cruelty for 14 centuries.  The history books paint and polish Islam while tarnishing Judaism, Christianity and America, omitting or changing facts that might expose the malevolence in our midst.  Our media aids and abets these efforts with the accusatory “Islamophobia” to keep the crimes under reported or swept under the rug.  Ask the average college students about Islam’s history and they will probably respond with a dead stare followed by an uncomfortable giggle at their own ignorance.

No, the murderers are not lone wolves.

Whether they come as one or as nineteen, they are still part of a larger pack, each with his duty, just as we send our tanks to the front, each with its own driver and gunner, but part of a greater army.  Whether the Muslims rush a synagogue to behead people in prayer; or behead hundreds who refuse to pray to Allah; or throw acid at little girls in Israel; or beat Jewish youths on the streets of Paris or Brooklyn; or explode themselves or ram an auto into a crowd of people, or kidnap girls for sale or marriage/enslavement, or rape women on the streets of Sweden and Norway; or burn or stone women, or behead their own daughters for “honor,” they are One.  Whether they are ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram, Taliban or any of a formidable number of terrorist groups, they are all Islamic terrorists.

maro polo quote on muslimsEach new generation is taught from toddlerhood to hate and aspire to Islamic greatness by killing kafirs – Jews, as well as Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and other Muslims.

  • Parents are eagerly raising their babies to be suicide bombers for Hamas,
  • From their earliest school days, children learn that life has no value; they must kill for their god and state, and accept their own death and martyrdom while parents encourage and applaud the loss of their children’s humanity.  There is no hope for a life of beauty, music, creativity and career, of courtship and love-marriage, the joy of caring for a devoted pet, and discoveries of Western civilization.  They are robbed of everything we value.  Young kindergartners are trained to behead dolls and toy sheep that bleed red liquid, and their song includes the bleating of the wounded, dying lamb.
  • As the older child is taught to kill and hold a victim’s severed head, he poses for a photo taken by his proud father.
  • Young adults, no longer queasy about death, are able to play soccer with decapitated heads.
  • By the time they reach adulthood, they have no respect for women, children, or for animals.  These deranged sadists (who receive sexual satisfaction from causing pain or degradation to others) are able to inflict agony and suffering on defenseless animals throughout the year and celebrate Eid by torturing livestock (the worst animal cruelty in history is in Gaza), allowing them to bleat and bleed out until they lose consciousness and finally die. Muslims consider the torment, fear and excruciating agony to be Halal.
  • Finally, despite the singularity perceived by some, there is organization, the inevitable group mentality. For example, although not a single Muslim had seen the “blasphemous cartoons” in 2005, demonstrators went to the streets, set buildings afire, injured and even killed people throughout Europe.  Not taught to examine facts, they take their leaders’ opinions and follow the pack.

A recent survey showed that 80% of Palestinians support murder.  I would propose that the remaining 20% are, as Marco Polo is alleged to have said, “the moderate Muslim(s) who hold the feet of the victim.”  Where there are Muslims, there is violence with the expressed objective that Islam will rule the world, with Sharia law imposed over the host country’s laws.  If it cannot be done peacefully, they will do so sadistically. They are raised in a teamwork environment, faces covered for guilt-free anonymity.

The reality is that all these terrorists are indoctrinated from childhood to sacrifice their individuality for an organization, and are probably psychologically incapable of acting as lone wolves.

The Cold War Cuban Detritus

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 the Cold War that had existed between it and the U.S. since the end of World War Two came to an end, but there was ditritus, loose ends like Cuba and it has taken until now for an end to the diplomatic obstacles whose roots reach back to the Eisenhower administration. In 1960 it had approved a CIA plan to arm and train a group of Cuban refugees to overthrow the Castro regime.

The Cuban dictator, Flugencio Batista, fled Havana on January 1, 1959 and Fidel Castro and his rebels entered the capital a week later on January 8. One sees the world through the prism of one’s own life and, that event was six months prior to my graduating from the University of Miami.

Among my friends in college were young men who were the children of well-to-do Cubans, so I was more aware of what was occurring than most my age when Castro took over. In 1960 I was inducted into the army and it was big news when the Bay of Pigs invasion occurred on April 14, 1961. President Kennedy had moved ahead on the CIA plan, but it was a failure and it was followed by the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962. The nation was literally on the edge of nuclear confrontation.

In the lead up to that the Second Infantry Division of which my unit was a part ceased its training mission and converted to one of battle readiness. In my case, however, I had already been discharged in April 1962. Kennedy declared a blockage of Cuba which had installed the Soviet missiles. Wisely, the Soviet Premier Nikita Krushchev agreed to remove them.

AA - Cuba CastroCuba was and is the classic Soviet-style Communist regime. During the 1970s Fidel Castro dispatched troops to Soviet-supported wars in Africa. Cuba’s economy was always lean and its workers make about twenty dollars a month in U.S. dollars. In 1962 Cuba was suspended from the Organization of American States (OAS) that imposed sanctions against Cuba, but 1975 the OAS lifted its sanctions with the approval of sixteen member states and the U.S. but the U.S. has maintained its own sanctions from the days of the missile crisis.

Suffice to say Cuba has a long history of human rights abuses. It represses any political dissent and life for Cubans is devoid of free speech, free association, privacy, and due process of law; rights which Americans and others in free nations take for granted.

For some 53 years, the U.S has had no direct diplomatic relations with Cuba and when President Obama made the announcement that he was moving to normalize relations it was big news. It had been preceded by 18 months of secret negotiations about which, reportedly, no member of Congress was informed about. While it infuriated the Cuban-American communities most people, inside and outside of government agreed it was time, if not overdue, for this action.

There will be much speculation that normalization will be good news for the Cuban people and one can surely hope so, but until the brothers, Fidel and Raul—declared the new president in 2008 when Fidel resigned—are dead, the likelihood for any real improvement in their lives is distant.

In a similar fashion, many American business and agricultural interests are no doubt making plans to become a part of the Cuban economy, but they had better proceed with care. Cuba is still Communist in most respects despite Raul Castro’s efforts to portray himself as a reformer and Cuba a place where foreign business are welcome and can thrive. In 2012 he relaxed property rights, expanded land leases, and licensed businesses from pizza joints to private gyms.

In reality, Raul Castro has, as reported in McClean’s magazine in 2012, “scared off more joint ventures than he has attracted, jeopardizing the investment Cuba needs to succeed. Spanish oil giant Repsol quit the country. Canada’s Pizza Nova, which had six Cuban locations, packed its bags, as did Telecom Italia.” In one case after another, those who hoped to do business in Cuba were disappointed. In 2013 a British company, one of the biggest and most important business partners of Castro’s military and a key investor in the tourism industry was suddenly confiscated and its principals were imprisoned.

One dramatic example is Stephen Purvis, a British architect who, since 2000 had developed tourism projects, factories and docks through his company that was financed by private European backers. After living in Cuba for ten years with his family and investing heavily in it, he was rewarded by being imprisoned after being accused of spying. He would spend 16 months in Cuban jails until being able to flee. Everything his company owned was confiscated. He has since warned others against doing business with the Castros.

Since 1959, more than one million Cubans, about ten percent of the population, have fled Cuba, many of whom found a new home in America. When that many people wanted to leave, it tells you something is terribly wrong with life in Cuba. The tentative steps toward normalization after all this time are necessary, but the American government should proceed with care in the years ahead.

An Ancient Evil Revisited

First Moloch, horrid King besmear’d with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents tears. –  Milton. Paradise Lost

Just when we thought that it couldn’t get any worse, the faithful followers of Mohammed have provided the world with yet more evidence that their religion pre-dates both Judaism and Christianity. That is to say, many of its barbarous actions pre-date the blessings of Sinai and Calvary, when God Himself stepped into history to show mankind the way out of darkness and into light.

During the seasons of Chanukah and Christmas, when Jews celebrate the miracle of oil for the temple light and Christians celebrate the coming of Light into the world, the depraved disciples of allah have brought darkness into, of all places, a childrens’ school, not that this is the first time. Muslims have been known to particularly single out defenceless children, such as in Beslan, in the North Caucasus, and school buses in Israel.

Storming the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan, six warriors of Mohammed armed with machine guns and rocket launchers against children with pens and pencils, slaughtered 148 and wounded a further 121, without a single loss to themselves, barring their eternal souls. Immediately following their success the six sent a message to their fearless commanders, “We have killed all the children, now what do we do?” Modesty forbade them mentioning the courage they displayed in burning a teacher to death. Unfortunately for them, men equally armed turned up and despatched them to where they belong.

It is becoming more difficult by the day to speak of these atrocities in any normal manner. Shakespeare himself would have been lost for words, resorting to something like “a deed without a name.” Precisely, there is no name, no word.

Chief in the litany of crime, the killing of children is the most despicable, cowardly, heartless, conscienceless, and inhuman. The act is not that of an animal but that of a non-human, an infinitely lower form of creature, one that has substituted the imago Dei for the imago diabolus. Lower than the animals, he has become a devil.

We are already hearing the dangerous claptrap about these murderers being lone wolves, that they don’t represent the mainstream muslim. But we are faced with the dread reality that muslims are worshipping an ancient and capricious entity that evidently has the power to inspire its followers to commit the most repugnant of crimes. And, what is worse, we may never know just when the axe might fall on any one of us or our children. As Prime Minister Cameron sagely warned us after the Sydney atrocity, it could “just as easily happen in the UK.” Of course, he was quick to remind us that it would only be a “lone wolf” attack, not mainstream Islam, even though mainstream Islam is always silent when an atrocity is committed in its name.

Let it be said once and for all that, unlike Judaism and Christianity, Islam simply lacks any inherent virtue to turn evil into good, to stanch and redirect the evil in men’s hearts into a fresh channel of true goodness. In fact, the exact opposite is true, it turns the fresh into stagnance and the stagnant into venom. Islam and all associated with it is incurable, period. And I for one don’t want to humbly wait, cap in hand, for the muslims who run the local petrol station to decide whether or not they’re going to be moderate or extremist.

But something far sinister emerges with this new evil, something that the modern mind refuses to accept.

Child sacrifice has been practiced by most ancient cultures, but significant among them all, was Carthage, a Canaanite people who sought to propitiate Baal Hammon, the Roman Saturn, otherwise known as Satan, with the blood of innocent children. Other cultures favoured the rapacious Moloch.

Why did they do this? One reason was to show devotion to their leaders, remember the radioed message to their commanders mentioned above. Another reason, it was believed that such sacrifice was the most effective in convincing the god to grant the desired answer to prayer. And Islam’s prayer is to dominate the entire globe: “It is he (Allah) who has sent his Messenger (saw) with guidance and the religion of truth (i.e. Islam), in order for it to be dominant over ALL other religions, even though the Mushrikoon (disbelievers) hate it.” 9:33. These wicked people undoubtedly take pleasure from inflicting suffering on others, but, being motivated by the entity that they worship, they are, in fact, making an offering of child sacrifice to their bloodthirsty god, and this entity is being fueled by the sacrifice.

Furthermore, whilst this attack sends human culture back 2,000+ years into the world of Carthage and beyond, it is, simultaneously, a claim on the future. They are saying, “We will kill your next generation and poison your hopes in the future, the future is ours.” We can expect it to be repeated in our own countries sooner or later, we are all being challenged to despair of the future. To despair is to turn our back on God and on goodness, to abandon hope, and that’s when a civilisation dies from within.

There we have the other prong of the attack.

The slaughtering of 148 people, 132 of them children, the youngest being 5 years old, is an attack, not only on the future of this community, but also on the future of all of us who enjoy and appreciate civilisation.

An attack on the young and innocent is a dagger pointed at the very heart and soul, firstly of the people of Peshawar, and then, of us all. The god of the koran is not satisfied with killing the body but seeks to poison the soul of the world with bitterness and despair.

But we must not despair, we must act. True, we must find courageous leaders like the inimitable Geert Wilders, soon to go on trial for speaking the truth, leaders who will stop leaping to the defense of Islam every time another atrocity is committed by that cult, but we must begin with ourselves.

Have I fallen for the lie that it matters not what name a person uses for God, or what book he regards as holy, and what prophet he reveres as inspired and worthy of imitation? The future will be decided on how western civilisation as a whole answers these questions.

On the Horrific Assassination of Two of New York’s Finest

“The two officers were pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital, where their colleagues and family members huddled tearfully. City Council President Melissa Mark-Viverito and Mayor Bill de Blasio were less than welcome guests at the poignant gathering. “We’re all in this together,” the mayor told grieving cops, according to a cop who was there. “No we’re not,” one officer said tersely in response.” – Taken from today’s New York Post.

I cannot appropriately express either the grief for the families, the rage I have towards the killer, or the deep disappointment I harbor for the New York City Mayor and the self-absorbed frauds he surrounds himself with, with words powerful enough to soothe my emotions. The below picture was sent to me by a former NYPD colleague of mine a little while ago. It is a warning sent out weeks ago to the officers of the NYPD about a credible threat to their lives.

bongino photo of officers killed

As a child who grew up just miles down the same Myrtle Avenue Street where these two NYPD brothers in law enforcement were brutally assassinated on, just five days before Christmas, I understand the concerns of the citizens who live there. The death of any human being, whether at the hands of another citizen, or at the hands of law enforcement, is the death of a unique and invaluable collection of experiences we call a life. But, instead of a rational, dignified conversation about the very serious issues surrounding policing in modern America, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio chose to be a hustler. He chose to be a grotesque caricature of a leader, instead of a genuine leader and, in the process, he ratcheted up emotions by making specious correlations, he had no evidence to support, about the motives of the members of his own police department.

I spent most of my adult life in law enforcement. I spent most of my childhood on those New York City streets. Did I run into bad cops? Of course. Were bad cops the rule? Ridiculous. The cops I worked with had kids to feed, mortgages to pay, garbage cans to take out at night, homework to check, and a job where the possibility of never returning home was a black cloud that followed them overhead wherever they went. Just imagine for a moment walking into your office on Monday morning and finding the message above taped to your cubicle.

I ask you to join me tonight in asking The Lord to help the families of these heroic officers cope with the horror of their loss just five days before Christmas. I also ask you to join me in asking The Lord for men and women of character, on the many sides of this complicated and ongoing debate, to be given the strength and the platform to begin to heal this great nation from the damage imposed upon it by the hustlers among us who have profited handsomely from trafficking in division and hatred.

God bless America, and all those who defend her.

Brooklyn cop killer’s FB page: “Strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah”

Ismaaiyl Brinsley murdered two policemen in Brooklyn today, as they were having lunch. The murders are being reported as revenge for the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown. However, there appears to be more to the story. His Facebook page [above] contains a photo of Qur’an 8:60, which includes the phrase, “Strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah.”

He also identifies himself as an Arabic speaker, which is not common among gangbangers:

North Carolina public high school proselytizing for Islam in vocabulary lessons

“We discovered that the vocabulary lesson was taken directly from a state-adopted supplemental workbook published by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston.”

This kind of thing is happening all over the country — partly because national textbook companies are promoting this proselytizing material. When questioned about it, school officials say it comes from the state, and that they can’t do anything about it. But more and more parents are catching on now, and this clandestine proselytizing is being exposed.

“New Details: Viral video alleges Pitt Co. high school promoting Islam,” WNCT, December 19, 2014:

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Pitt County Schools has responded to a viral video that alleges a Farmville Central lesson plan is promoting Mohamad and Islam.

The video, created by Dianne Lynn Savage, asserts that the plan is a vocabulary lesson for the eastern North Carolina high school. In it, Savage urges the audience to share the video as widely as possible and to not ‘just sit back and allow this’.

Brock Letchworth, the spokesperson for Pitt County Schools, said Friday afternoon that school officials looked into the matter and released the following statement about the lesson plan, “Late last night, it was brought to our attention that there were questions about a vocabulary assignment in a senior English class at Farmville Central High School. The course is designed to accompany the world literature text, which emphasizes culture in literature.

Concerns expressed to us were related to the religious nature of sentences providing vocabulary words in context. After an investigation, we discovered that the vocabulary lesson was taken directly from a state-adopted supplemental workbook published by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston. This workbook includes a series of weekly vocabulary lessons, and the lessons are used to teach vocabulary in context. Lessons are divided into a trio of topics including expression, civilization, and the environment. This particular lesson was pulled from the civilization section of the workbook.

Our school system understands all concerns related to proselytizing, and there is no place for it in our instruction. However, this particular lesson was one of many the students in the class have had and will have that expose them to the various religions and how they shape cultures throughout the world.

The vocabulary lessons apply to the following Common Core Standards for English Language Arts:

CCSSELA-Literacy.L11-12.4.A: Use context (e.g., the overall meaning of a sentence, paragraph, or text; a word’s position or function in a sentence) as a clue to the meaning of a word or phrase.

CCSSELA-Literacy.L11-12.4.D: Verify the preliminary determination of the meaning of a word or phrase (e.g., by checking the inferred meaning in context or in a dictionary).

CCSSELA-Literacy.L11-12.6: Acquire and use accurately general academic and domain-specific words and phrases, sufficient for reading, writing, speaking, and listening at the college and career readiness level; demonstrate independence in gathering vocabulary knowledge when considering a word or phrase important to comprehension or expression.

The Farmville Police Department also commented on the video Friday saying, “I want to let everyone know that I have seen the video post about Farmville Central High School and it is being looked into by the PCSO. The safety of your children is of the utmost importance to FCHS, the Farmville Police Department, and the PCSO. I would ask that instead of continuing to share the post and fueling the fire, that you allow those agencies involved to handle the situation.”…

Exclusive Report: HAMAS demonstrations at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

On Jumpin’ Jumm’ah Freaky Friday we have a direct interview from Jerusalem with none other than Jerusalem Jane, one of our key friends on the front lines in Israel. Jane reports on the demonstration that the HAMAS (yes, you read that correctly) had on the Temple Mount, today!

For some reason the Israeli government allowed some Muslims from Gaza to pray at Al-Asqa Mosque and somehow members of the HAMAS showed up with flags and shouting death chants against the Jews! Jerusalem Jane also tells us some disturbing news about a “threat” she received from Muslim jihadis telling her to stop her work on the Temple Mount, which simple is…praying for Israel.

Check out this show and you will see a very determined Christian woman who will not be stopped as she fulfills her calling, praying for the peace of Israel.

Senator Marco Rubio: Obama Appeasing Rogue Cuban Regime ‘at all costs’

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement regarding reports that President Obama is set to dramatically change U.S. policy toward Cuba following the release of Alan Gross, an American who was held hostage by the Castro regime in Cuba for five years:

“Today’s announcement initiating a dramatic change in U.S. policy toward Cuba is just the latest in a long line of failed attempts by President Obama to appease rogue regimes at all cost.

“Like all Americans, I rejoice at the fact that Alan Gross will be able to return to his family after five years in captivity. Although he is supposedly being released on humanitarian grounds, his inclusion in a swap involving intelligence agents furthers the Cuban narrative about his work in Cuba. In contrast, the Cuban Five were spies operating against our nation on American soil. They were indicted and prosecuted in a court of law for the crimes of espionage and were linked to the murder of the humanitarian pilots of Brothers to the Rescue. There should be no equivalence between the two, and Gross should have been released unconditionally.

“The President’s decision to reward the Castro regime and begin the path toward the normalization of relations with Cuba is inexplicable. Cuba’s record is clear. Just as when President Eisenhower severed diplomatic relations with Cuba, the Castro family still controls the country, the economy and all levers of power. This administration’s attempts to loosen restrictions on travel in recent years have only served to benefit the regime. While business interests seeking to line their pockets, aided by the editorial page of The New York Times, have begun a significant campaign to paper over the facts about the regime in Havana, the reality is clear. Cuba, like Syria, Iran, and Sudan, remains a state sponsor of terrorism. It continues to actively work with regimes like North Korea to illegally traffic weapons in our hemisphere in violation of several United Nations Security Council Resolutions. It colludes with America’s enemies, near and far, to threaten us and everything we hold dear. But most importantly, the regime’s brutal treatment of the Cuban people has continued unabated. Dissidents are harassed, imprisoned and even killed. Access to information is restricted and controlled by the regime. That is why even more than just putting U.S. national security at risk, President Obama is letting down the Cuban people, who still yearn to be free.

“I intend to use my role as incoming Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Western Hemisphere subcommittee to make every effort to block this dangerous and desperate attempt by the President to burnish his legacy at the Cuban people’s expense. Appeasing the Castro brothers will only cause other tyrants from Caracas to Tehran to Pyongyang to see that they can take advantage of President Obama’s naiveté during his final two years in office. As a result, America will be less safe as a result of the President’s change in policy. When America is unwilling to advocate for individual liberty and freedom of political expression 90 miles from our shores, it represents a terrible setback for the hopes of all oppressed people around the globe.”

A Nation Trapped By Ambulance Chasers

Last week it was America that suffered a self-inflicted wound. This week it was Britain. The al-Sweady inquiry was a five year, £31 million judge-led inquiry into a single incident involving British troops in Iraq. Ten years ago, after a particularly bloody battle, British troops took a number of Iraqi insurgents (from the Mahdi army) into custody. The men were questioned and subsequently released.

But enter two firms of lawyers who should evermore stand as the absolute definition of ‘ambulance chasers’ – were there any actual ambulance to have chased in this case. But there was not, because nobody was even harmed. Nevertheless the firms ‘Public Interest Lawyers’ and ‘Leigh Day & Co’ sought out, instigated and outrageously prolonged a full-scale legal inquiry into the events. The Iraqis who had been detained claimed that British troops had murdered, mutilated and tortured the detainees in their care. The two firms acting on behalf of these men even failed – among other things – to declare until more than four years into the inquiry documents showing that the men making the claims were insurgent fighters. They pretended they were innocent civilians. In this way, among many others, the lawyers managed to continue to rack up their fees even as the reputations of British soldiers were dragged through the mud.

This week, after gathering more than 600 witness statements and hearing oral evidence from almost 300 people, came to a close. It found that the claims of the Iraqis were ‘Wholly and entirely without merit or justification.’ Indeed the allegations were, the presiding judge found, the product of “deliberate and calculated lies”.

Reaction to the verdict of the inquiry was predictable. The troops who had had to live with 10 years of grotesque allegations hanging over them and their families, were first relieved and then justifiably angry that they had ever been put through this ordeal. But the predictions of parts of the press was equally predictable. The Guardian and the Independent – to name just two papers – seemed positively disappointed by the result. It seemed not just to be their expectation but their hope that our nation’s troops would be found guilty of war crimes. And so they ran front-page headlines focussing on the fact that there were small criticisms in the report relating to prisoner care (late delivery of a meal and a detainee being ‘breathed on’ among them). Thus these papers continued to satisfy what they appear to believe is an insatiable public thirst for stories of wrong-doing on our own side.

So many aspects of this story are terrible: the mistreatment of our soldiers, the waste of public money, the outrageous behaviour of some of these lawyers and an apparent willingness to always believe the worst of our own soldiers. But some good should come of it. And perhaps it could be a moment for political unity. These outrageous allegations were made about a war begun under a Labour government. Labour MPs and others who have gone through all this see as clearly as anyone could the problems in our system which have given rise to these outrageous proceedings. Meanwhile, announcing the findings of the inquiry in the Commons this week the Defence Minister Michael Fallon was rightly and visibly angry that the charges had ever come to this. If good is to come from this it should be a serious discussion between the two main parties not just to recognise what went wrong with al-Sweady, but to ensure that nothing like it ever happens again.

What treasures would we find if we water boarded Congress? Terrorist ties?

Boston Marathon jihad murderer appears in court for the first time since 2013

What a bizarre scene. There is no doubt that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is guilty. He is captured on video at the scene, he took evidence of his involvement back to his college dorm, he wrote about the bombings and his role in them on the side of the boat in which he was hiding. And yet protesters still showed up to defend him. When it comes to Islamic jihad terror, some people cannot and will not shake the propagandistic notion that Muslims are always and ever victims, no matter how many bloodied, lifeless bodies they leave in their wake.

“Tsarnaev appears in court for 1st time since 2013,” by Denise Lavioe, Associated Press, December 17, 2014:

BOSTON (AP) — Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev returned to court Thursday for the first time since he was arraigned in July 2013, and he received a shout of encouragement from the mother-in-law of a man who was shot and killed while being questioned by law enforcement after the bombings.

Security was tight at the federal courthouse in Boston for Tsarnaev’s final pretrial conference. Tensions ran high, and one bombing victim had a testy exchange with protesters outside.

During the brief court hearing, U.S. District Court George O’Toole Jr. made no rulings, saying he would rule in writing on pending motions, including the defense’s latest push to move the trial out of Boston.

David Bruck, one of Tsarnaev’s lawyers, told the judge that the defense plans to file a motion to delay the trial, which is now scheduled to begin on Jan. 5 with jury selection. Bruck did not say how long of a delay the defense will seek.

At one point, the mother-in-law of Ibragim Todashev called out to Tsarnaev in Russian in the courtroom. Elena Teyer said she told him: “We pray for you. Be strong, my son. We know you are innocent.”

Later, in English, she yelled to the law enforcement officers escorting her out of the room: “Stop killing innocent people. Stop killing innocent boys.”

Tsarnaev never flinched or acknowledged the shouts.

Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured when two bombs exploded near the finish line of the April 2013 marathon. Tsarnaev, who has pleaded not guilty to 30 federal charges, faces the possibility of the death penalty if he is convicted.

Tsarnaev, 21, wore a black sweater and gray trousers and had a scruffy beard and a curly hairstyle similar to the one seen in earlier photos. He smiled to his attorneys and one patted him on the arm.

The courtroom was packed with FBI agents, police who worked on the case and more than a dozen survivors and family members.

Outside the courthouse, a man who lost his right leg in the bombings had a testy exchange with a small group of protesters holding signs supporting Tsarnaev and questioning whether authorities have proof that he is responsible for the bombings.

Marc Fucarile held up his prosthetic leg and moved it back and forth toward the demonstrators, saying: “That’s proof right there.”

One of the demonstrators said to Fucarile: “You should care that they get the right guy.”

Fucarile replied: “Get a life, lady. Go to work.”

At his last court appearance 17 months ago, Tsarnaev still bore signs of the bloody standoff with police that led to his capture and the death of his older brother, Tamerlan. His left arm was in a cast, his face was swollen and he appeared to have a jaw injury. In court Thursday, he had no visible injuries.

Tsarnaev’s trial is expected to last several months, and seating a jury alone could take several weeks to a month.

Judge O’Toole questioned Tsarnaev about whether he had waived his right to appear at previous hearings. Tsarnaev answered in a clear voice: “Yes, sir.”

Asked by the judge if he believes his lawyers had acted in his best interests, he said: “Very much.”

Earlier this month, Tsarnaev’s lawyers argued anew that “emotionally charged” media coverage and the widespread impact of the attacks have made it impossible for him to get a fair trial in Massachusetts….

Exclusive Analysis: Inside the Islamic State’s Propaganda Videos

In the first of a series of exclusive collaborations, the UK-based counter-extremism think tank, Quilliam and U.S.-based Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium (TRAC), are releasing a ground-breaking analysis of one of Islamic State’s (IS) most important propaganda videos, Although the Unbelievers Dislike It.

At first sight, the video, in which twenty-two Syrian Arab Army hostages are simultaneously beheaded and the head of Abdul Rahman (aka Peter Kassig) is displayed at the feet of “Jihadi John”, is seamlessly and professionally produced. However, an exhaustive analysis of the video, which was broken down frame-by-frame by TRAC and Quilliam analysts, has revealed a number of important inconsistencies which, in isolation, are intriguing enough but when considered as a whole, illuminate much about IS’ propaganda machine.

A summary of the most important features include:

  1. The video’s producers go to great lengths to conceal three of the executioners from view. By dismantling the video into individual frames, Quilliam and TRAC have obtained screenshots of each of these three men and identified the most likely reasons for their presence.
  2. Through TRAC’s extensive jihadist propaganda archives, some of the executioners have been tentatively identified.
  3. TRAC consulted three face and neck surgeons who examined photos of Mr. Kassig’s head. The inconsistencies here, laid out in full in the report, are profoundly important and render apparent the fact that the production of the video did not happen as IS had planned it.
  4. TRAC and Quilliam’s use of expert forensic digital analysis confirms that IS used a range of expensive post-production software and equipment which has been specifically identified. This gives a good indication as to the structure of the IS propaganda machine, which is detailed in the report.

Chapters that are included in this full report are:

This content is being made available for all to see for three (3) weeks, after which the full report will be made available to TRAC subscribers only. Fidel Castro: “I Heart Obama!”

Seriously, is President Obama more ideologically aligned with dictator Fidel Castro than he is with former President, George Bush? Think about that.

The President’s political philosophy is really closer to Marxism than to our Constitutional democracy. If that’s true, then it will help you understand the real motive behind Obama’s absurd plan to “normalize” relations with the communist, totalitarian, terrorist regime of Fidel Castro, one of the evil despots of our time.

This show will help you understand Obama’s true motive and why we must stand four square against his Cuba policy.

“Sound an Alarm” this Hanukkah — Is Israel Being Thrown Under the Bus?

Yesterday, marked the  beginning of the eight days of Hanukkah – the Jewish Festival of Lights. The holiday commemorates the Maccabees’ victory over their Syrian Greek oppressors who denied these ancient Jews their  liberty and religious freedom.    Following the recital of the braches (blessings) for the first night of Hanukkah candle lighting we noshed some US  kosher gluten-free versions of sufganiyot  (Israeli jelly doughnuts), quaffed a small libation  while we listened  in flickering candle light to  Handel’s oratorio Judas Maccabeus. Something  we usually do on first night of Hanukkah. After reading today’s news this air from the 1747 libretto of Judas Maccabeus by John Morell takes on new meaning given developments in Europe. We refer to the mind numbing  EU court ruling lifting the designation  of Hamas as a terrorist group and the EU Parliament vote of a Palestinian statehood recognition resolution in principal by a vote of 488 to 81:

handel macabee45 . Judas Maccabeus
Sound an alarm! Your silver trumpets sound,
And call the brave, and only brave, around.
Who listeth, follow: to the field again!
Justice with courage is a thousand men.

Sound an alarm. . . da capo.

Listen to an excerpt of this Handel air, Sound and Alarm in a performance of Handel’s Oratorio , Judas Maccabeus conducted  by Sir Charles Mackarras and the English Chamber Orchestra  circa 1976 on DG/Archiv Records.

Sound an Alarm for the Europeans have effectively thrown Israel under the bus.  These EU actions abet the objectives of Palestinians and their Muslim allies in the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to enforce a potential draconian settlement threatening the Jewish nation’s existence.  The PA failed to line up the requisite votes for a UN Security Council resolution fixing a two year demand for Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank. However  the PA is emboldened by today’s European Parliament vote to push for resolutions to be brought by Jordan and France before  the  Security Council.   France has emerged to play a leading role on  such  a UNSC vote pushing for an action before year end.  The language of those resolutions differ and in the case of France is still undergoing refinement, we have been told by sources in Europe.

Note these comments from a Jewish Week report:

A diplomatic source noted that [French Foreign Minister] Fabius conferred Monday with his German and British counterparts. Although there were reports that they failed to reach a consensus, France later reaffirmed its desire to submit a resolution on the Palestinian issue.

Asked if France was prepared to wait until after Israel’s March 17 election, the source said that was not in the cards.

“The quicker the better,” he said. “It is time to move ahead on this.”

He added that as of Tuesday it was still unclear whether Jordan was preparing to introduce a resolution on behalf of the Palestinians.

“The Jordanian delegation is being encouraged by the Palestinian Authority to present a resolution,” he said. “I don’t know whose resolution will be submitted. It depends on what Jordan proposes and whether it is a good, balanced resolution. If it needs more work, France will propose its own. And the U.S. is saying it wants to see the resolutions before making a decision.”

Another diplomatic source has been quoted as saying the U.S. is now open to a resolution calling for binding Israeli-Palestinian peace talks if the timeframe remains unspecified.

Witness what we saw in Rome, Secretary Kerry raising in conversation with Israeli PM Netanyahu, the ante of a UN Security Council resolution that could possibly witness a US first,  a threatened abstention.  Netanyahu, pushed back, saying:

Our expectation is that the United States will stand by its position for the past 47 years that a solution to the conflict will be achieved through negotiations, and I do not see a reason for this policy to change.

The reaction to the EU court decision on ‘technical grounds” lifting the designation of Hamas as a terrorist group received brusque reactions from  Netanyahu, Naftali Bennett, Economy Minister and Yuli Steinitz,  Knesset Speaker as reported by the Jerusalem Post:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, before a meeting with Joni Ernst, the newly elected Republican senator from Iowa,  said this was one example of “staggering”  European “hypocrisy.”
Hamas, he said, “has committed countless war crimes and countless terror acts. It seems that too many in Europe, on whose soil six million Jews were slaughtered, have learned nothing. But we in Israel, we’ve learned. We’ll continue to defend our people and our state against the forces of terror and tyranny and hypocrisy.”

“The burden of proof is on the EU and we expect them to immediately return Hamas to the list where everyone realizes they should be,” Netanyahu said. “Hamas is a murderous terrorist organization whose charter says that its aim is to destroy Israel. We will continue to fight it with determination and strength so that it will never realize its aims. ”
Economy Minister Naftali Bennett said that if anyone thinks that sacrificing Israel can save Europe, they are mistaken.
“The corrupt law of the EU court gives license for the shedding of Jewish blood everywhere and demonstrates the loss of a moral path,” he said.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein (Likud) said that the European Union must have lost its mind.” Edelstein said that the decision displays “inflexibility, moral distortion and grants a prize to the extremist Islamic terror that is currently plaguing the entire world, including Europe itself.”

Watch  Israeli PM  Netanyahu discuss today’s EU actions with Iowa Republican Senator-elect, Joni Ernst on this JP video:

All this is occurring coincidental with Congress recessing for the  Christmas -New Year  Holidays effectively ending the truculent 113th Session. Congress returns for the 114th Session on January 3, 2015 under Republican Control which might make a difference in recognition of American support for this valued embattled special ally in the Middle East.

It is not lost on many of us concerned about Israel’s security  that the Administration is engaged in a less than sophisticated game of isolating Netanyahu.  This may be reflective of by  the U.S. Administration’s support Labor Party head Herzog and fired  Justice Minister and Hanuat  Party leader  Tzipi Livni who favor  renewal of Palestinian negotiations.

Let us not lose sight that there are American Jews who  support these EU and Administration moves  and  imperil  Jewish sovereignty to their  ancient homeland.  Do you see anything of concern emerging from AIPAC, the Council of Major American Jewish Organization?  Not surprising because these alleged powerful Jewish lobby groups reflect the sentiments of 65% percent of American Jews who  support and consistently vote the Democrat line.  The Reform Movement is aligned with  J Street  and  supports declaring an instant Palestinian state  dividing Israel’ unified capital of Jerusalem. The leadership of the Conservative movement is totally lost reflected in continuing interfaith outreach to Muslim Brotherhood Fronts courtesy of Chancellor Arnold Eisen. The Anti-Defamation League’s long term executive director, Abe Foxman , is departing, replaced by an acolyte of anti-Israel billionaire and J Street supporter, George Soros.   Bizarre.

A Zion that the Maccabees and Bar Kochba had bravely fought to preserve in liberty and freedom was crushed by Roman legions and Jewish divisiveness. Thus causing a lapse of 2000 years, until following the Shoah, the miraculous rebirth of the third and hopefully enduring Jewish Commonwealth.  Israel has become a beacon of hope to the Jewish world- Hatikvah-the theme of its national anthem. Israel is a bastion for the Jewish people and for preservation of  basic values inherent in both the US Constitution and Israel’s Basic Law; i.e., liberty, freedom and human and civil rights for all. That is not lost on the majority of Americans, especially those in the Christian Zionist evangelical and Pentecostal religious communities.

This latest round of calumnies against Israel comes amidst the darkened Middle East beset with thousands of jihadist atrocities committed against dwindling ancient Christian and religious minorities by  the extremist Sunni guardians of the religion of peace, the Islamic State or ISIS.

Sound an Alarm this Hanukkah.  We need millions of contemporary Maccabees to rally to Israel’s cause of liberty, religious and human freedom.

Obama Switches Sides Again in the War for the Free World: Provides Life-support for the Castro Regime

In response to the Obama administration’s announcement this week that it is proceeding with normalization of relations with the Castro regime in Cuba — reversing over fifty years of bipartisan policy towards the communist dictatorship — the Center for Security Policy is registering strong objection to this course of action as severely undermining U.S. national security on several fronts.

First, normalization with Cuba represents the latest manifestation of America siding with traditional adversaries at the expense of allies, both governmental and non-governmental, since President Obama took office. Whether ousting former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to make way for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, threatening to impose sanctions on Israel while lifting them on Iran, hitting the “reset” button with Vladimir Putin’s Russia while removing missile defense capabilities from Europe, or remaining neutral on Venezuela’s assumption of a seat on the United Nations Security Council, there has been a clear and disturbing pattern, of which the Castro brothers are the latest beneficiary.

Second, at a time when the Venezuelan regime that has provided life-support to the Castro dictatorship for the past decade is bankrupt, President Obama is rescuing the Communist Castro brothers, just when intensified pressure may at last have driven them from power.

Third, the fact that this normalization with Cuba is taking place against the backdrop of ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran over the latter’s nuclear program, strongly suggests that this policy shift is a “dry run” for eventual normalization of relations with Tehran. It would not be unreasonable for Iran to observe today’s events and infer that it need not cede any ground on its nuclear ambitions, just as Cuba did not cede ground on its fifty-plus-year record of repression of human rights and sponsorship of global terrorism.

Finally, this reversal of policy further demonstrates that this administration is distressingly prone to poor negotiating. Sgt. Bowe Bergdhal’s release was secured only in exchange for five of the most senior, and most dangerous, Taliban leaders held in Guantanamo Bay, while Iran has benefitted from the premature lifting of sanctions in exchange for meaningless and easily reversible concessions on its nuclear program. Regimes and terrorist organizations the world over will doubtlessly be encouraged by Obama’s reversal on Cuba in this regard as well.

Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., President and CEO of the Center for Security Policy, commented:

President Obama’s misguided reconciliation with the Castro regime is just the latest example of the Obama doctrine at work: Embolden our enemies; undermine our allies; diminish our country. The security of the American people, as well as the human rights and democratic aspirations of the people of Cuba, have been put in possibly irreversible jeopardy with this action. It is incumbent upon Congress to do everything in its power to prevent this disastrous policy from taking hold.
