While critics slammed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for being noticeably absent from the public view in recent days, it has been revealed that the absence was due in part to the governor accompanying his wife to her cancer treatment.

A DeSantis spokesperson told Fox News that the governor accompanied his wife Casey to cancer treatment on Dec. 29—the same day that several critics accused the governor of “missing,” even sparking the hashtag “Where’s Ron” on Twitter.

Fox News contributor James Freeman challenges the Miami Beach, Florida, mayor for claiming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has handled the coronavirus pandemic poorly.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis accompanied his wife to her cancer treatment while critics were accusing the governor of taking a vacation as coronavirus cases spiked, Fox News has learned.

A DeSantis spokesperson said the governor accompanied wife Casey to cancer treatment Dec. 29, the day several left-wing critics accused the governor of “missing.”

DeSantis’ announced in October that his wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer, telling Fox News at the time that as “the mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as first lady.”

DESANTIS’ OFFICE HITS BACK AFTER MAYOR ASKS ‘WHERE’S OUR GOVERNOR?’

Democratic Mayor Jerry Demings of Orange County in Florida criticized DeSantis in a press conference Tuesday amid the rising COVID cases, suggesting state residents “should be outraged” with DeSantis not being in front of the media during the spike.

“Our residents, all Florida residents should be outraged, and they should ask the question, ‘Now, where’s our state? Where’s our governor?’” Demings said. “Where is Ron DeSantis now? When was the last time you saw the governor do a press briefing regarding COVID-19?”

Others, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took to social media to criticize DeSantis and accuse him of being “inexplicably missing.”

“Hasn’t Gov. DeSantis been inexplicably missing for like 2 weeks,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a tweet during a visit to Florida. “If he’s around, I would be happy to say hello. His social media team seems to have been posting old photos for weeks.”

“In the meantime, perhaps I could help with local organizing,” added Ocasio-Cortez, who was spotted maskless while drinking and dining outdoors in the Sunshine State. “Folks are quite receptive here.”

MSNBC host Joy Reid also lashed out at DeSantis, writing in a tweet: “A governor, not governing during a crisis; and sunning his belly on vacation instead. @GovRonDeSantis is the Nero of Ted Cruzes.”

DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw responded to Reid, attaching photos of DeSantis’ daily schedule, and asked, “Have you ever considered that you’re one of the reasons nobody trusts the media?”

DeSantis communications staffer Kyle Lamb also responded to critics on Twitter who were questioning whether DeSantis was on vacation, writing: “Just FYI, [DeSantis] is not on vacation. Literally no one from our office has said that he is.

“Anyone pushing that could have easily seen the public schedule and seen that he’s taking calls and meetings this past week,” Lamb added. “Not having public events does not = ‘vacation.’”

“While I appreciate the partisan interests in constantly repeating phrases such as the ‘Big Lie’ or ‘false claims of election fraud,’ the reality is that the claims of election fraud were never fully investigated,” Attorney Timothy Parlatore wrote the committee.

“Without a proper investigation, it is impossible for anyone to state with certainty either that President Biden stole the election through widespread fraud, or that President Trump promoted false claims of election fraud,” he added.

The former New York City Police commissioner also provided a “privilege log” describing materials he declined to provide to the committee.

A key adviser to Donald Trump’s legal team in their post-election quest to unearth evidence of fraud has delivered a trove of documents to Jan. 6 investigators describing those efforts.

Bernard Kerik, the former New York City Police commissioner and ally of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, also provided a “privilege log” describing materials he declined to provide to the committee.

Among the withheld documents is one titled “DRAFT LETTER FROM POTUS TO SEIZE EVIDENCE IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY FOR THE 2020 ELECTIONS.” Kerik’s attorney Timothy Parlatore provided the privilege log to the panel, which said the file originated on Dec. 17, a day before Trump huddled in the Oval Office with advisers including former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, where they discussed the option of seizing election equipment in states whose results Trump was attempting to overturn.

It’s unclear whether the letter is related to the same plan and if Trump knew of its existence. Kerik withheld it, describing it as privileged because of its classification as “attorney work product.”

Another document provided by Kerik to the panel included emails between Kerik and associates about paying for rooms at the Willard Hotel. Kerik had been subpoenaed by the panel on Nov. 8 as part of its investigation into the so-called war room at the Willard Hotel, where Trump allies met to strategize about preventing Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory. The panel had originally sent a letter accompanying the subpoena that had incorrectly suggested Kerik was in the war room on Jan. 5, leading Kerik to demand an apology.

The Jan. 6 select committee declined to comment on the new materials.

As part of a seven-page letter to the panel, Parlatore told the committee the former police commissioner would accept a voluntary interview with the panel on Jan. 13, 2022, though he expressed concerns about the conditions of the interview and whether a transcript and recording would be released immediately after, or whether Parlatore could make his own recording of the proceedings.

According to Parlatore, the panel retracted its agreement for a voluntary interview and demanded a deposition instead after he sent his letter to the committee. He expressed dismay at the committee’s retraction of the voluntary interview.

“They seem more interested in creating an appearance of noncompliance than conducting an actual investigation,” he said in a text message.

Another 22-page document, titled “STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS PLAN – GIULIANI PRESIDENTIAL LEGAL DEFENSE TEAM,” describes a 10-day blitz aimed at Republican House and Senate members to pressure them to vote against certifying the 2020 election results. The effort was focused, according to the document, on six swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The document says its primary channels to disseminate messaging on these efforts included “presidential tweets” as well as talk radio, conservative bloggers, social media influencers, Trump campaign volunteers and other media allies. A list of “key team members” supporting the effort included “Freedom Caucus Members” — a reference to the group of hardline House conservatives, some of whom backed Trump’s effort to overturn the election.

Other team members listed include: Rudy Giuliani, “Peter Navarro Team” and “identified legislative leaders” in each of the six swing states.

The document also described a list of actions the group intended to organize, including “protests at weak members’ homes,” “protests at local officials homes/offices” and “protests in DC – rally for key House and Senate members.”

It is unclear if Kerik would appear for a deposition instead of an interview. A Dec. 23 letter to the panel from Parlatore had included disputed claims that the Jan. 6 panel was structurally invalid and called its deposition process “fatally flawed.” The panel has previously rejected those arguments.

Parlatore declined to comment on the withheld documents but said they hoped the committee would agree to conditions allowing the full disclosure of all documents.

TAKE ACTION: CVS is Putting Racism Ahead of Health

CVS (3.42) is one of 2ndVote’s top-ranked drug stores with a previous score of 3.72 which has recently dropped to a 3.42. But that score might drop even further as company executives spent $600 million on Critical Race Theory (CRT) employee training programs. Fox Business reports that CVS implemented a four-week program last year which required staff to engage in self-reflection about bias and to stop alleged biases by other staff.

The program was launched as other major corporations responded to George Floyd’s death with false claims that America – and, by association, Americans – are racist. As leading CRT critic Chris Rufo noted in September, the program was implemented by a CEO who makes tens of millions of dollars per year, and would mostly impact people making only a few tens of thousands of dollars per year.

We are launching a campaign urging CVS to return to prioritizing customers’ health needs and the well-being of their staff. This is a huge course change for them, and we need your help to redirect CVS to treat their 300,000 employees and millions of customers truly equally – on the basis of their humanity, not their skin color.

The details of the program are outlined in this document, and they go well beyond training staff to view each other through a racial prism. CVS’ vendor partners will be chosen on the basis of their race, not the value they bring to CVS, its staff and customers, and the general public. The CDC is moving goalposts again, changing the definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ to include a third shot.

In its recently updated guidance on exposure to COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) treats double jabbed individuals that have not received a booster shot the same as unvaccinated ones.

“For people who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days,” the updated guidance reads. “Alternatively, if a 5-day quarantine is not feasible, it is imperative that an exposed person wear a well-fitting mask at all times when around others for 10 days after exposure. Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure.”

The move to change the definition of “fully vaccinated” by the federal health agency was predicted by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last month. During a press conference in Tallahassee, the Republican governor told attendees that “those individuals who have gone through a normal vaccination series for COVID …will be determined to be unvaccinated very soon.”

“They will do that – they are gonna tell you: ‘you’re unvaccinated and you have to get a booster,’” he said, adding that those who choose not to get a booster “could potentially face loss of employment or other types of penalties.”

The comments sparked outcry from legacy media fact-checkers, who were quick to label the governor’s prediction as false. Writing in The Independent, Andrew Feinberg penned an article titled “Fact Check: DeSantis falsely claims vaccinated citizens without boosters could be declared unvaccinated and lose their jobs,” in which he claims that DeSantis was “lying about the possibility that Covid-19 boosters will be used to force people out of their jobs.”

“Centers for Disease Control Director Rochelle Walensky has repeatedly denied that the Biden administration plans to consider people who do not get boosters to be unvaccinated.” he wrote.

In addition to the recently updated guidelines, government health officials have also publicly indicated that such a change in definition would ultimately occur. During a CNN interview earlier this month, White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci foreshadowed that changing the definition of fully vaccinated to include booster shots is a matter of “when, not if.”

“I don’t see that changing tomorrow or next week, but certainly if you want to talk about what optimal protection is, I don’t think anybody would argue that optimal protection is going to be with a third shot,” he said. “For me, as a public health person, I just say get your third shot – forget about what the definition is. I just want to see people be optimally protected.”

Ocasio-Cortez staffer calls Israel a ‘racist European ethnostate’ that was built on ‘stolen land’

FIRST ON FOX: A staffer for “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., referred to Israel as a “racist European ethnostate” on social media.

Hussain Altamimi joined Ocasio-Cortez’s office in November as a legislative assistant, posting shortly after a picture of him and the congresswoman on Instagram with the caption “New beginnings.”

Then, last week, Altamimi targeted Israel in an Instagram story calling the U.S.’s key Middle Eastern ally a “racist European ethnostate.”

“Israel is a racist European ethnostate built on stolen land from its indigenous population!” Altamimi wrote on Christmas Eve, according to a screenshot obtained by Fox News Digital.

Altamimi’s comments were in response to a post he shared from an account with the handle “Let’s Talk Palestine,” which claimed there is a “racial hierarchy” in Israel.

“This reveals the principle underpinning Israeli apartheid: It’s not about where you’re born,” the shared post reads. “It’s about whether you’re Jewish or non-Jewish. Your ethnicity determines your rights [and] level in the racial hierarchy.”

“Israel is an exclusive ethnostate, established to serve one ethnic group at the expense of another,” the post continued….

The Rise of the Vax Police State and its Enforcers the Vax Passport Schutzstaffel [VPSS]

The public is seeing something that hasn’t happened since the rise of Adolf Hitler. When Hitler came to power he created his own personal police forces know as the SA and SS. These two organizations became both Hitler’s protectors and infamous for their role in arresting, sending to concentration camps and murdering millions of the Nazi Party’s political and religious opponents.

Holocaust Explained reports on Hitler’s rise to power and formation of the SA and SS:

The Nazi Party’s paramilitary organisation were the Sturm Abeilung, more commonly known as the SA. The SA were formed in 1921 and were known as ‘brownshirts’ due to their brown uniform. Initially most members were ex-soldiers or unemployed men. Violent and often disorderly, the SA were primarily responsible for the protection of leading Nazis and disrupting other political opponents’ meetings, although they often had a free rein on their activities.

If Hitler was to gain power democratically, he needed to reform the SA. He set out to change their reputation. A new leader, Franz von Salomon, was recruited. Rather than the violent free rein they had previously enjoyed, Salomon was stricter and gave the SA a more defined role.

In 1925, Hitler also established the Schutzstaffel, otherwise known as the SS. The SS were initially created as Hitler’s personal bodyguards, although they would go on to police the entire Third Reich.

The SS were a small sub-division of the SA with approximately 300 members until 1929. In 1929, Heinrich Himmler took over the organisation, and expanded it dramatically.

Today, we are seeing similar police forces that we call the Vax Passport Schutzstaffel or VPSS used in certain cities, states and nations to enforce the mandates handed down by the Vax Police State.

Today there are 31 nations that require a vaccine passport. In America there are 4 states (California, Hawaii, New York and Louisiana) that issue vaccine passports. We labeled these 35 as “Vax Police States.”

Rise of the Vax Police State

BBC News reported the following countries have implemented Covid vaccine passports:

EU

An EU vaccine “passport” is being introduced across all 27 member nations – plus Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.

Citizens of these nations can download it or obtain a paper copy – at no cost. It is also available to non-EU nationals living legally in member states who have the right to travel to other member states.

Because the UK is no longer in the EU, the certificate is not available to most Britons.

The certificate can be issued if someone has been vaccinated, recently had a negative Covid test or recently recovered from the virus.

Anyone holding the certificate should be exempt from testing or quarantining when crossing a border within the EU.

Other EU nations also have their own certificate or vaccine passport.

France

Authorities have set up a health pass that will allow people to access restaurants, bars, planes and trains.

At present, venues that accommodate more than 50 people already require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test.

The pass will be required by all adults from the beginning of August and include children over the age of 12 from 30 September.

In order to obtain the pass, people must have proof they are fully vaccinated, recently tested negative or recently recovered from the virus.

On 24 July, about 160,000 people protested across the country against the Covid pass and mandatory vaccinations for health workers.

Israel

Israel introduced a vaccine pass earlier this year. It required people to show proof of either vaccination or having recently had the virus. The pass helped increase uptake of the vaccine, especially among younger people.

After infection rates declined, authorities decided to end the scheme.

But the government has now announced plans to reinstate the system amid a recent surge in cases.

The green pass system will only allow those over the age of 12 who are vaccinated, recovered from Covid-19 or who present a negative test result to attend large events and enter certain public spaces, the Times of Israel reports. The new pass will come into effect from 29 July.

The pass will apply to cultural and sporting events, gyms, restaurants and dining halls, conferences, tourist attractions and places of worship.

China

China introduced a QR code system last year which categorised people into different colours. A green colour allows people to move around without restrictions while someone with a yellow code may be asked to stay at home for seven days.

The codes are a combination of big data and information submitted by the users themselves.

Many public spaces in China require people to show their QR code in order to gain entry.

In March, China launched a digital health certificate that shows the holder’s vaccine status and test results. The certificate is available to foreigners in China as well as Chinese nationals. It is hoped that Chinese citizens will be able to use the certificate as a vaccine passport in other countries in future.

It’s not yet clear which countries China is in discussions with to get its certificate recognised.

US

In April, the White House ruled out introducing mandatory federal Covid vaccination passports, saying citizens’ privacy and rights should be protected. However four states have active vaccination apps, according to MIT Technology Review.

But some states have also opted to introduce their own measures to try to increase vaccination rates.

California will require all state employees and health care workers to show proof of vaccination or be tested weekly from next month. New York City will adopt a similar measure from mid-September requiring its municipal workers – including police officers and teachers – to be vaccinated or face weekly tests.

Australia

At present, inoculated Australians have a digital certificate on their phones but it has no rights attached to it.

The country’s tourism minister Dan Tehan has said that a vaccine passport could give people “the right to be able to travel across borders when there are lockdowns, or if there are parts of a state which have been locked down, because of an outbreak”.

He also said that giving more freedoms to people who are vaccinated would encourage more to get the jab.

States in America that Require or Ban Vax Passports

On August 31, 2021 the MIT Technology Review published a list on the status of each state and vaccine passports or bans as follows:

  • Alabama: Governor Kay Ivey signed legislation to ban vaccine passports. The Alabama House of Representatives voted 76–16 to approve the bill. (Source: AP News)
  • Alaska: Governor Mike Dunleavy issued Administrative Order No. 321, stating that Alaska’s government will not require vaccine passports in order to travel to, or around, the state. (Source: Alaska State Website)
  • Arizona: Governor Doug Ducey issued an executive order banning vaccine passports on April 19 (Source: AZ Governor website), but on May 22, Arizona lawmakers failed to pass a bill banning businesses from requiring vaccine passports.   • California: Residents can verify their vaccinations using a service called the Digital Covid-19 Vaccine Record portal, which launched on June 18. (Source: NBC) The state does not require an official vaccine passport, but does mandate that indoor events with at least 5,000 people require vaccination or a negative covid test.   • Georgia: Governor Brian Kemp issued an executive order May 25 prohibiting vaccine passports in state government. No vaccine passport will be required for entry into the state of Georgia.   • Iowa: On May 20 Governor Kim Reynolds signed a law, House File 889, that will withhold state grants and contracts from local governments or businesses that require customers to prove they have received a covid vaccine.   • Kansas: On May 7, lawmakers approved a proposal that includes a ban on vaccine passports, but it has not yet been implemented. Governor Laura Kelly said in April that she has no interest in any state-sanctioned use of the technology. (Source: The Topeka Capital-Journal)
  • Kentucky: Vaccine passports are not required, and State Representative Brandon Reed is drafting a bill that would ban the government from enforcing their use. (Source: NBC KY News)
  • Louisiana: Residents will be able to show digital proof of vaccination via the LA Wallet mobile app, the state’s voluntary license application, as of May 5 (Source: AP News). On June 7, the Louisiana Senate voted 23–12 for state representative Danny McCormick’s House Bill 103, which prevents civil liability for businesses that don’t mandate vaccines and also prevents the state from denying business licenses to those that don’t require a shot.   • Maine: Officials are not planning on developing a statewide vaccine passport system. Residents are encouraged to bring their immunization record card if they need it. (Source: AP News);
  • Maryland: Vaccine passports are not required, and there is no legislation addressing passports as of now. The biotechnical distribution company MyBioSource.Com surveyed 3,000 Marylanders and found that overall, 63% believe vaccine passports should be used. (Source: CBS Baltimore)
  • Massachusetts: Governor Charlie Baker said on April 8 that he is opposed to vaccine passports, but no ban has been passed. (Source: Boston Globe)
  • Michigan: The state house of representatives passed a bill, HB 4667, on June 2 to ban vaccine passports or any other system where individuals’ civil rights are diminished by vaccine status. (Source: US News)
  • Minnesota: The state senate passed S1589-2 in May, stating that no person must be required to possess, wear, or display any indicator that he or she “received a negative or positive test result or possesses the antibodies for a communicable disease.” The Minnesota Department of Health is prohibited from forcing anyone to participate in contact tracing or digital contact tracing.   • Mississippi: Governor Tate Reeves said in April that he doesn’t support vaccine passports, and the state is not pursuing the use of one. (Source: CNN)

  • Montana: Governor Greg Gianforte issued an executive order prohibiting state-sponsored development of vaccine passports or requirements for their use. (Source: Montana State website)

  • New Jersey: The state has no plans to implement a vaccine passport system. Governor Phil Murphy has said he’s open to the idea but that the state will follow federal guidance.   • New Mexico: There are no requirements for vaccine passports and no plans to develop one.
  • New York: The state has implemented a vaccine passport system, the Excelsior Pass, created by IBM. Vaccine status can be stored digitally on an app, available on the App Store and Google Play store, and can be printed out on the Excelsior Pass website to be brought anywhere. Available languages are English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Haitian Creole, Korean, Bengali, Arabic, Italian, Polish, and Yiddish. (Source: NY State website)
  • North Carolina: On April 21 the state house of representatives urged Governor Roy Cooper to reject attempts to create a vaccine passport system, with 65 Republican lawmakers sending a letter of opposition. Passports are not required in the state. (Source: WCNC Charlotte)
  • North Dakota: Lawmakers passed a limited ban on vaccine passports, and amended the ban into HB1465 on April 29. The law bans state and local governments from requiring proof documents and prohibits businesses—with some exceptions—from requiring customers to present vaccination documents for access, entry, or services.   • Ohio: Governor Mike DeWine made a commitment that the state will not create or require a vaccine passport, but he has left the issue of private-sector requirements up to individual businesses.   • Oklahoma: Governor Kevin Stitt issued an executive order on May 28 banning state agencies from requiring vaccinations as a condition of entry to public buildings.   • Oregon: Vaccine passports are not required. On June 3 state senator Kim Thatcher introduced a bill that would ban any kind of vaccine passport (Source: ABC2 KATU); the Department of Consumer and Business Services said in a May 19 statement that “an employer who requests and reviews verification of vaccination may permit fully vaccinated individuals with such proof to go without masks, face coverings, etc.”
  • Pennsylvania: On May 24, Republicans in the state senate began advancing legislation to prohibit government and school districts from requiring vaccination. The bill applies to state agencies, counties, municipalities and school districts, and bars; it does not apply to private businesses or organizations. (Source: AP News)
  • Rhode Island: Governor Dan McKee said on May 18 that he is leaving it to business owners and employers to decide rules on masking and vaccination for themselves. McKee is not in support of a bill introduced by Republican lawmakers that would prohibit state and municipal agencies and private business from requiring proof of vaccination.   • South Carolina: Governor Henry McMaster issued an executive order on May 11 that prevents local governments and schools from creating mask mandates. The order also bans local governments, state agencies, and state employees from requiring vaccine credentials. (Source: WebMD)

Vax Police States are becoming the new normal. These states are using their law enforcement agencies or Vax Passport Schutzstaffel (VPSS) to enforce the use of Vax Passports. Whether they just suggest getting vaxxed, require getting vaxxed in certain jobs or mandate getting vaxxed, it doesn’t matter. Why? Because it is all part of a long term effort to force people to submit to the jab.

A year ago, vaccines to tackle the covid pandemic seemed like a far-off idea. Today, though, doses have been delivered to almost one-quarter of the world’s people—and some are being asked to prove they’re among them, leading to the rise of so-called vaccine passports.

The needle and now a pill are the new weapons used by the state. They are symbols of the Vax Police State.

Some governments don’t force you, but they just take away everything you hold near and dear away until you submit to the jab.

It’s called tyranny.

Are We Now in the Era of the ‘COVID Matrix’ with the Mandated Vaxxed Passports?

Are we the people now living in a newly created Matrix? A Matrix created by government mandates? Do you get a feeling of déjà vu? Do you wake up and read the news headlines, or watch television shows, or go to social media sites and wonder if your awake or dreaming?

Do you feel like you’re being told to do something that just doesn’t feel right? Are you being required by your local, state or the federal government to get a Covid Passport to prove your worthiness as a human being? Have the new “Matrix Mandates” superseded your personal healthcare decisions?

Are you now an obedient subject of the Vax Passport Police State (VPPS)?

We are now in a world where you, the un-vaxxed, have become enemies of the state.

Get Jabbed or Go Directly to Jail

In a December 28th, 2021 article titled “The Jackboots Have Arrived – NYPD Begin Arresting Unvaccinated Americans During Indoor COVID Compliance ChecksSundance reported:

Comrades, many American citizens stood jaw agape as they watched Australian metropolitan police departments begin cracking skulls and making arrests for violating COVID rules and restrictions. Yes, it always seemed like Australia, New Zealand and Europe were the beta testing ground to see if police would comply with jackboot arrests of their own community.

Well, now we can see those same tactics being deployed in the U.S.

New York City was the first large metropolitan area to require vaccination identification cards to enter restaurants, bars, dining establishments and various public and private venues.  Now comes the enforcement part.

Then, after the police start getting uncomfortable arresting moms, dads and children, it takes open and vocal public shaming on a large scale toward the officers on a community level to get them to stop.

Remember, when the Chinese government first told the regular army to open fire on the students in Tiananmen Square, the soldiers would not shoot.  The Chinese Communist government then brought in the Mongolian divisions who had no connection to the local community.  You know what happened next.

Who is Resisting and Why are they Resisting?

It now appears that even entire police unions are now resisting getting vaxxed. In another December 29th, 2021 article in the Daily Wire titled “Boston Unions Fight Mayor’s COVID-19 Vax Mandate” Tim Meads reported:

Several unions representing city employees in Boston, Massachusetts, are leading the legal battle against Mayor Michelle Wu’s recently announced COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all city workers by February 2022. In several statements given to the Boston Herald, it is clear that Boston unions are not giving up the fight against the mandate.

“Tyranny is here on our doorstep and if we do not act now, in concert with ALL city workers, then we are sealing our own fate,” Boston First Responders United (BFRU) stated recently.

“People are standing up and making their voices heard. We’re standing up for one another and for workers’ rights and civil rights,” Shana Cottone, president of BFRU, told the Herald.

BFRU is reportedly working on a legal effort against the mandate.

What can you do? Sign the Petition to Stop the Vax Passports

Citizens can now make their voices heard. There’s a website StopVaxPassports.org that has a petition for those who believe in my body, my choice with it comes to getting vaccinated. StopVaxPassport.org petition reads:

We, the undersigned, are very concerned that digital “vaccine passports,” by whatever name, can be used to restrict everyone’s constitutional rights to freedom and privacy which sit at the very heart of our culture and democracy.

“Vaccine Passports” are not merely the digital equivalent of the yellow vaccine cards long used in international travel. According to tech experts, the digital platform used by Vaccine Passports can provide the same totalitarian functionality as used by the Chinese “Social Credit System.

China’s “Social Credit System” gives the government total control over its citizens by tracking and integrating their every individual aspect:  medical history, social media activity, bank accounts, credit cards, shopping, internet searches, residence, employment, criminal history, facial and gait recognition, network of relationships, religious activities, participation (or the lack thereof) in the “Xi-Jinping thought” app, and real-time physical location.

While the “Vaccine Passport” may begin with only carrying digital information on vaccinations, the rest of the functionality of the Chinese Social Credit System can be integrated into the “Vaccine Passport” system in a matter of minutes.  Whether such digital documentation is governmentally issued or produced by corporate sponsors, the practical effect is a platform that, in the wrong hands, could usher in totalitarianism in the United States.

The ominous potential for the unauthorized disclosure of proprietary data and other abuses cannot be overstated, and must not be tolerated. No matter your opinion on the Covid vaccines—some of us are vaccinated and some are not—such a digital passport system is clearly antithetical to the foundational principles of this country and must not be allowed to take root here.

The Bottom Line

Brownstone Institute President and economist Jeffrey Tucker said this about NYC’s COVID-19 mandates, “We’ve lost our minds.”

We couldn’t agree more with Mr. Tucker.

There is a grassroots movement taking place globally. This movement has been named by some as “The Great Awakening.” It is a revolution against those who mandate getting vaxxed and the requirement to have a green “vaxxed passport” or similar ID to go shopping, enter a restaurant, get on an airplane or even take a walk in the streets of towns, cities, some states and even some nations.

It appears that globally we, the people, are not going to take it anymore!

Andrew Surabian in a tweet wrote, My alma mater @AssumptionUMA  is now ridiculously mandating boosters for all students/employees. No scientific justification of course, just pathetic fear mongering.”

In Supernatural Horror in Literature H.P. Lovecraft wrote:

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”

What is happening now is that governments at every level, the legacy media and social media are keeping us in the dark about the true impacts of the Covid virus and the ill effects of getting vaxxed in order to keep us in fear.

We are seeing a new dystopian effort to reshape our thinking into believing that the un-vaxxed, including those with natural immunity, are a threat to us all. The new world order Vax Passport Police State (VPPP) is now traumatizing our children, watch:

But there are many who are resisting. As Rinehart, ‘The Matrix’ (1999), said, “You have a problem with authority, Mr. Anderson. You believe you are special, that somehow the rules do not apply to you. Obviously, you are mistaken.”

Today we are all Mr. Anderson and we are not mistaken. The rules do not apply to us. The rules to protect our God given liberties apply to government not we the people.

NEW YORK CITY – Lifestyles forced onto New Yorkers through restrictive coronavirus mandates are “not the way we’re supposed to conduct public life in this country,” a libertarian economist warned after seeing the Big Apple’s lockdowns firsthand.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, New York City took dramatic action to curb the spread of COVID-19. In March 2020, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered all nonessential businesses to close statewide and had shut down schools. More recently, Mayor Bill de Blasio imposed the first-ever vaccine mandate on all private-sector workers in the city.

“Freedom is what made New York great, and now people just make fun of that,” Brownstone Institute President Jeffrey Tucker, referring to public figures who have dismissed or mocked those who opposed vaccine mandates for reasons of personal freedom, told Fox News.

Tucker, who’s been to New York countless times, was in the city on March 12, 2020, when initial panic of the novel coronavirus struck.

“People were just running through the streets trying to get out,” he recalled. “Not because of the virus, but because of the fear lockdowns.”

He made another trip months later and said it seemed “like a post-apocalyptic revival was happening.” He noticed fewer masks, more open businesses and city-dwellers attempting a return to normalcy.

But more recently, Tucker traveled to New York in early December and was dismayed.

“Being back now since the mandates, it’s a complete shock what’s happened to the city,” he said, noting his initial surprise when he was asked show proof of vaccination at a bar.

“You can’t enter into any public building, any bar or restaurant, museum, library, anywhere without flashing the pass,” Tucker told Fox News.

Tucker called the requirement, which de Blasio dubbed the “Key to NYC Pass”, a “sadistic policy” that felt “degrading” and “un-American.” Only a handful of U.S. cities require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter certain indoor businesses.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, New York City has implemented some of the most restrictive coronavirus-related mandates in the country. Earlier this month, de Blasio announced the vaccine mandate, which required all private-sector employees to be at least partially vaccinated by Dec. 27.

“Today [is] a historic day in New York City,” he said Monday. “We’re implementing the strongest vaccine mandate in the country, all private-sector employers, today.”

“This is what we need to do everywhere,” the outgoing mayor added. “Every mayor, every governor, every CEO in America should do vaccine mandates now, because 2022 has to be the year we leave COVID behind.”

New York is also one the few cities that requires children five and older to show proof of vaccination to enter many indoor establishments.

Tucker pointed out that the legislature didn’t vote on any of these mandates.

“This is not the way we’re supposed to conduct public life in this country,” he told Fox News. “You’ve got a kind of extreme segregation that’s developing there in the city … and somehow this is just lost on people, what’s happening in New York.”

“Right now, the crime situation is really a very volatile situation,” Tucker said. “But what are the cops doing? They’re going from bars to restaurants and enforcing, with very heavy fines, the vaccine passports.”

The city has completed nearly 52,000 inspections since the policy started on Sept 13. So far, 31 businesses have been fined $1,000 for violations. Fines can reach as high as $5,000 if a business does not comply with the mandate.

And a video that recently went viral showed New York City police kicking a child and his family out of a restaurant for not having a vaccine card.

“We’ve lost our minds,” Tucker told Fox News.

Introduction

The Biden administration so far has been plagued with crisis after crisis. Record inflation, the self-inflicted disaster that was the Afghanistan withdrawal, and a resurgence of COVID-19 cases have all helped tank the president’s approval ratings firmly into negative territory.[1] However, the ongoing immigration crisis, also self-inflicted, is inarguably the longest-running debacle of this administration so far.

Indeed, this crisis effectively started as soon as Biden won the election, signaling that his campaign promises to dismantle immigration enforcement mechanisms and grant amnesty to more than 10 million illegal aliens would likely become a reality. Once he took office, apprehension numbers skyrocketed into unprecedented territory as he began making good on these campaign promises, and they show no signs of returning to historical norms anytime soon. As a result, Fiscal Year 2021 saw the highest apprehension totals on record, with 1.74 million individuals encountered by Border Patrol agents.[2][3]

When monthly apprehension numbers first exceeded 100,000 in February 2021, President Biden falsely claimed that the increase was nothing more than a temporary “seasonal increase” despite it being nowhere near the historical “busy season” for border apprehensions. After being caught in this obvious lie, his administration opted not only to stop making excuses for the crisis; they wholeheartedly embraced it. They boldly added more fuel to the fire by reinstituting “catch-and-release,” ending the Migrant Protection Protocols (and later only half-heartedly and temporarily re-instituting the program when forced to do so by a federal judge) and implementing policies that forbids Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from deporting most illegal aliens, including dangerous criminals.

Predictably, this inexplicable embrace of policies that harm Americans has made Biden’s first year in office one of the least popular ever, with barely 30 percent of all voters supporting his handling of the border crisis.[4] In a world marked by hyper-partisanship, it’s almost impressive that the Biden administration has managed to do something so poorly that a vast majority of Americans are now united against him on the issue.

Below is a detailed breakdown of the Southwest border crisis and how it compares to the final year of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Total Apprehensions

During FY 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered 1.74 million illegal aliens, up roughly 380 percent from the 458,088 encountered in FY 2020.[5] During Donald Trump’s final three months as president, apprehensions stayed relatively stable at around 75,000 per month before skyrocketing immediately after Biden took office. However, during the first two months of the Biden presidency, apprehensions increased by more than 120 percent. They continued to rise through July when 213,593 individuals were apprehended. These totals only dropped slightly to 192,001 by the end of the fiscal year in September.

The reason why so many illegal aliens flooded the southern border is the litany of incentives put in place by the Biden administration, combined with the simultaneous ratcheting down of interior and border enforcement. Furthermore, in a 2019 presidential primary debate, then candidate Biden proclaimed “you should come” to prospective migrants. And, indeed, the first migrant surge of his presidency featured migrants wearing Biden/Harris t-shirts and telling reporters that they were only coming to America now because Biden told them to come.[6] Both the words and actions coming from the Biden administration so far have sent a clear message to illegal aliens: “come.”

Interior Releases

The Biden administration quickly reinstated the Obama-era catch and release policy after taking office, which means that many illegal aliens are simply issued a “notice to appear” (NTA) in the future before an immigration judge, then released into the country. Unfortunately, with the current backlog of 1.5 million immigration cases, most of these illegal aliens will remain in the country for years before ever having their first hearing. Predictably, at least half of all migrants will fail to show up for their proceedings, instead opting to disappear into the country.[7]

During FY 2021, the Biden administration released more than 285,000 apprehended migrants into the country with an NTA. This is an increase of more than 2,000 percent from 2020, when barely 14,000 migrants were released.

Furthermore, reports revealed that the Biden administration instructed CBP to release tens of thousands of apprehended migrants without an NTA. As a result, immigration officials have no tracking mechanism and instead rely on illegal aliens to voluntarily turn themselves in later to an ICE office for processing and to receive an NTA. However, it has been reported that only 13 percent of the 50,000+ migrants released without an NTA have turned themselves in to ICE.[8] The rest are unaccounted for.

This mass-resettling of illegal aliens has significant consequences. At least 40,000 of the migrants released into the country tested positive for COVID-19, and there are numerous troubling reports of them not respecting CDC-recommended guidelines.[9] In one report, a group of newly released, unmasked migrants were seen “coughing and sneezing” at a restaurant in La Joya, Texas. When approached by local police officers, they claimed that CBP released them because they tested positive for COVID-19. The Biden administration continues to defend its policy of not requiring COVID tests or vaccines for illegal aliens, despite requiring both before lawful migrants and visitors can enter the country. When asked about this hypocrisy, Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki falsely claimed that these tests are unnecessary because illegal aliens are “not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time.”[10] Even if this were true (and it’s not), such a stance makes no sense, since even short-term lawful visitors to the United States must produce a negative COVID test and/or provide proof of vaccination before entering the country.[11]

Finally, as noted before, essentially all these migrants will remain in the country for at least one year (and most will stay for far longer) while they await their court hearings. With at least 330,000 migrants released freely into the country with or without an NTA, these migrants will cost American taxpayers billions of dollars. According to FAIR, each illegal alien costs American taxpayers a net of approximately $9,100 per year.[12] This means that the migrants released into the country by the Biden administration during FY 2021 will cost American taxpayers at least $3 billion per year. This does not include those migrants released on other programs, who entered the country without detection by law enforcement, or who are currently in detention centers. It also does not include the costs incurred by those migrants who were apprehended and removed from the country via Title 42 or Title 8 authority. The true cost of the Biden Border Crisis is far higher.

“Got Aways”

All the figures noted so far do not account for those who managed to successfully evade Border Patrol agents and enter the country’s interior. Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott revealed that more than 400,000 illegal aliens successfully evaded CBP personnel in FY 2021.[13] Thus, approximately 80 percent of all attempted border crossers were apprehended by border agents. In the past, this figure was closer to 70 percent.[14] However, it makes sense that a higher percentage of migrants are being apprehended, as more migrants are voluntarily turning themselves in at the border, knowing that they will most likely be released into the country with no consequences.

Despite the higher rate of individuals turning themselves in at the border, there were still far more “got aways” in FY 2021 than FY 2020, when approximately 105,000 individuals were estimated to have evaded law enforcement officers.[15]

Who are the people who try to evade capture? Alarmingly, they are often criminals and others who do not want to interact with law enforcement. “I would say a lot of them are undesirables,” noted Border Patrol Agent Ron Boren, who heads CBP union local 2554 in southern California. “[These are] the criminal aliens who have been convicted in the United States, the guys convicted of rape, theft, multiple DUIs, and lord knows whatever else.”[16]

Just as those migrants who are released into the country by CBP cost taxpayers billions every year, so do those who enter the country without being caught. Based on the same metrics, these “got aways” from FY 2021 will cost taxpayers approximately $3.6 billion. When this figure is combined with the cost of those migrants who were released into the country by the Biden administration, the Biden Border Crisis will cost American taxpayers a net of $6.6 billion annually. And, considering that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has implemented ICE apprehension guidelines that forbid prosecuting illegal aliens in almost all circumstances, it’s a safe bet to assume that most of these illegal aliens will remain in the country long-term.[17]

Removals

One of the few Biden administration policies offering any public benefit has been its continued use of Title 42 authority to quickly remove illegal border crossers who pose a threat of bringing COVID-19 into the country. However, the Biden administration has continued this program quite reluctantly, and has signaled multiple times that they are strongly considering ending it.

In FY 2020, more than 200,000 migrants were removed via Title 42. In FY 2021, that number jumped to more than 1 million due to the year-long rush of migrants at the southern border. Additionally, there were approximately 52,174 Title 8 “inadmissible” encounters. According to CBP, inadmissible removals include “individuals encountered at ports of entry who are seeking lawful admission into the United States but are determined to be inadmissible…” While most inadmissible migrants are returned to their country of origin, some are allowed in for humanitarian reasons.[18]

If the Biden administration does indeed opt to end the Title 42 program, as mass-immigration advocates are pressuring him to do, that will result in potentially hundreds of thousands of additional illegal aliens being admitted into the country. It would also drastically increase the risk of these migrants bringing COVID-19 into the country, increasing public health risk for American citizens.

Conclusion

It became obvious soon after his election that President Biden was creating the greatest border crisis this country has ever seen, and the FY 2021 data from CBP confirms it. And the most alarming part is that his administration doesn’t seem to care. In fact, they seem quite pleased with the result, and are taking additional steps to attract more illegal immigration into the country.

If President Biden has any respect for the rule of law or cared for the interests of American citizens, he will fire DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and make enforcing our laws at the border a top priority. However, that certainly doesn’t look likely. As a result, American citizens can safely assume that FY 2022 will simply be a continuation of what we saw in FY 2021 at the border. Illegal aliens will continue to flock into the country, with CBP officers acting as a “welcoming committee” instead of a deterrent.

This means that Americans can expect to lose out on hundreds of thousands of additional employment opportunities, tens of thousands of COVID-positive migrants will be welcomed into the country, and thousands of criminals will enter the country with little fear of being apprehended or deported. President Biden has made it quite clear: he is willing to put American citizens and lawful migrants at risk in order to cater to the wishes of illegal aliens and the mass-migration lobby.

U.S. Commits $1 Mil to End Racism, Ethnic Prejudice in South America Focusing on “Afro-Latinas”

As part of its foreign policy on “advancing racial equity and support of underserved communities,” the Biden administration is spending a million dollars to eliminate racial and ethnic discrimination, inequality, and systemic racism in South America. Besides bolstering racial justice in the foreign nations, the U.S. taxpayer dollars will encourage civil society organizations to promote and protect the human rights of communities marginalized by “intersectional discrimination,” according to the grant announcement posted by the government this month. The administration identifies intersectional discrimination as “multiple and overlapping social identities, including communities experiencing disproportionate injustices such as Afro-Latinas and African Descendant members of LGBTI+ communities.”

The administration is intervening because it says that “around the world, people of color, and in particular people of African descent, are disproportionately discriminated against, forced to endure high levels of violence and excruciating labor conditions, and are systematically denied access to justice and full economic, political, cultural, and social participation in society.” The money, which will flow through the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy Human Rights and Labor (DRL), will help empower underrepresented and underserved racial and ethnic communities and uphold the dignity of people who are systemically denied their human rights and fundamental freedoms. “DRL endeavors to acknowledge the legacy and suffering of millions of people as a result of slavery and other deliberate malevolent events in history,” the grant announcement states.

The project aims to mitigate bias, discrimination and violence from institutions designed to protect and serve society, including underserved and underrepresented racial and ethnic communities; ensure the fair administration of justice for underrepresented and underserved racial and ethnic communities and counter societal discrimination and violence by advancing equity, social inclusion, and equality for all. The goal is to increase leadership of individuals from underserved racial and ethnic communities with a “specific focus on Afro-Latinas and African Descendant members of LGBTQI+ communities.” Other goals include increased access to secure and culturally competent legal services to address systemic racism, the development of inclusive legislation and policies, and increased awareness of human rights abuses and the costs of systemic racism.

Before receiving funds grant recipients must conduct a “gender and inclusion analysis” that provides relevant gender norms, power relations, and conflict dynamics in target countries, according to the grant Proposal Submission Instructions. “Potential domains of analysis include institutional practices and barriers, cultural norms, gender roles, equity and equality for underserved communities and marginalized populations, access to and control over assets and resources, and patterns of decision-making,” the document states. Applicants must also address barriers for equal participation by explaining how information about religious minorities, women, LGBTI persons, persons with disabilities, racial and ethnic minorities, and indigenous communities will be collected and included in the proposed program. “The degree to which collecting sensitive demographic data may discourage or present a barrier to beneficiaries participating in activities, however, must be considered prior to collection of such data,” the proposal submission instructions read.

The million-dollar award is part of a Biden executive order issued in January to advance racial equity and support for underserved communities through the federal government, though the order focuses on tackling the issue in the U.S. not abroad. The president’s document claims that “entrenched disparities” in laws, public policies, and private institutions have denied equal opportunity to individuals and communities and that the health and climate crises have exposed inequities while a “historic movement for justice has highlighted the unbearable human costs of systemic racism.” Therefore, the order states, the federal government should pursue a “comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.”

Senator Cotton: Recall, Remove ‘Every Last’ District Attorney Funded by George Soros

In an op-ed for Real Clear Politics, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) says the nation’s war on crime must begin with recalling, removing, and replacing “every last” District Attorney with ties to left-wing billionaire financier George Soros.

Cotton correctly notedthat it is no coincidence that the “largest increase in murder in American history and the largest number of drug overdose deaths ever recorded” has coincided with cities electing “radical, left-wing, George Soros progressives” to District Attorney offices.

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, who has refused to prosecute a number of crimes, won his race thanks to funding from Soros, as did incoming Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has vowed not to prosecute trespassing, prostitution, and resisting arrest.

Cotton wrote:

These legal arsonists condemn our rule of law as ‘systemically racist’ and have not simply abused prosecutorial discretion, they have embraced prosecutorial nullification. As a result, a contagion of crime has infected virtually every neighborhood under their charge.

Soros prosecutors refuse to enforce laws against shoplifting, drug trafficking, and entire categories of felonies and misdemeanors. In Chicago, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx allows theft under $1,000 to go unpunished. In Manhattan, District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. refuses to enforce laws against prostitution. In Baltimore, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has unilaterally declared the war on drugs “over” and is refusing to criminally charge drug dealers in the middle of the worst drug crisis in American history. For a time, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon even stopped enforcing laws against disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and making criminal threats.

All of these cities have paid a terrible price for these insane policies. Last year, the number of homicides in Chicago rose by 56%, and more than 1,000 Cook County residents have been murdered in 2021. In New York City, murder increased 47% and shootings soared 97%. In 2020, the murder rate in Baltimore was higher than El Salvador’s or Guatemala’s — nations from which citizens often attempt to claim asylum purely based on gang violence and murder—and this year murder in Baltimore is on track to be even higher. Murder in Los Angeles rose 36% last year and is on track to rise another 17% this year. [Emphasis added]

“The Republican Party must then join with independents and common-sense Democrats to wage an unrelenting war on crime,” Cotton wrote. “That war must begin with a campaign to recall, remove, and replace every last Soros prosecutor. Throw the bums out.”


George Soros

343 Known Connections

Soros’s Effort to Install Democratic District Attorneys

In November 2017, journalist Matthew Vadum reported that Soros had been busy pushing to elect extremist district attorneys (DAs) across the country in order to weaken law enforcement and protect lawless sanctuary cities. Specifically, Soros was pouring money into local elections nationwide because he supported local efforts to: resist the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); empty prisons; coddle the prisoners who remained; scale back drug prosecutions; lower bail requirements; and eliminate alleged racial disparities in sentencing, among other things. Soros’s aim was to get people who shared his worldview into public office at every level, including that of local district attorneys.

According to a Daily Signal analysis, in the 2016 election cycle Soros spent almost $11 million on 12 DA races. Democrat candidates backed by Soros ended up winning in 10 of those dozen contests. One of the 10 victors was a woman named Kim Ogg. Soros associates developed her television ads, and with $878,000 from Soros’s custom-made PAC, Ogg defeated the incumbent GOP office-holder, Devon Anderson, in the general election. Ogg’s approach to law-enforcement was made plain in a late 2016 Daily Signal article that stated: “On Jan. 1, Ogg will begin to try fulfilling the vision she ran on, promising a ‘significant culture change’ defined by taking a more lenient approach to marijuana possession cases, focusing tax dollars on punishing violent criminals, and making it easier for defendants to get out of jail on bond in a county where 70 percent of inmates cannot afford to free themselves before trial.”

The following year, 2017, Soros’s backing helped elect radical leftist Lawrence (Larry) Krasner, a Democrat, as Philadelphia DA. Before winning the general election, Krasner beat seven other candidates in the primary. According to the Washington Free Beacon: “Krasner, who has represented Occupy Philadelphia and Black Lives Matter, and has sued the police department more than 75 times, had a major fundraising advantage that was provided almost exclusively by Soros.” On the campaign trail, Krasner promised never to seek the death penalty in any criminal case and to keep Philadelphia a lawless sanctuary city. A segment of his platform titled “Resist the Trump Administration” spelled out his plan to “protect immigrants,” “reject the drug war,” and “stand up to police misconduct.” “As District Attorney, he will work to maintain Philadelphia as a ‘sanctuary city’ and protect the Fourth Amendment rights of all residents, cooperating with federal authorities only to the degree required by law,” said his campaign website. “Because legal proceedings can affect the status of immigrants and therefore relations between communities and law enforcement, Larry will take those effects into account when making prosecutorial decisions and setting prosecutorial policy. He will oppose renewal of ICE’s access to the PARS database, a city police database used by ICE to identify ‘deportable’ immigrants.”

In April 2017, Soros gave $1.45 million to the Philadelphia Justice and Public Safety PAC, which was created to support Krasner and listed its address as the Democrat law firm Perkins Coie in the nation’s capital. Soros threw another $214,000 the super PAC’s way in May, bringing his pro-Krasner donations to $1.7 million, “an unusual[ly] high [amount] for the average district attorney race.” It was also the first time a PAC had ever backed a candidate for Philly DA….

The Soros modus operandi is the same in almost every locality, reported the Beacon: “The financier will establish political action committees, pour money into local races, then turn around and shut them down once the election is over.”

‘A Journal for Jordan’ is about God, Family and an American Soldier

Denzel Washington created something very special for Americans in his film “A Journal for Jordan.”

It is a story of faith, love, devotion, family and service to the nation. It is about a soldier. An American soldier.

This solder, like many I served with, was black. This soldier was a First Sergeant. This soldier was a patriot who was willing to give the last full measure of devotion to protect his fellow soldiers. This was a soldier who was a father. His name was Charles M. King.

His story struck me and my wife in so many ways because you see Charles’s story is not that much different than our story or the stories of many I served with over my 23-year U.S. Army career.

In a December 23rd, 2021 Department of Defense article titled “‘A Journal for Jordan’ Brings Soldier’s Story of Love, Legacy to LifeKatie Lange wrote.

When Dana Canedy gave Army 1st Sgt. Charles M. King a journal in late 2005 to write a few words of advice to their unborn son, she said she expected only a page or two from her shy, reserved fiance.

King, a nearly 20-year veteran of the force by this time, was heading off on yet another overseas deployment, his last before retirement. Canedy, who was a few months pregnant, wanted to have the words “I love you” written on a page beside King’s name, just in case something happened.

“The minute I opened [the journal] and started reading it, I knew it was going to be something special,” Canedy recently recalled.

Jordan was born in early 2006 while King was on deployment in Iraq. King’s commitment to his men in the field kept him from making it for the birth, but he was able to come home for two weeks to meet his 5-month-old son. While he lapped up every moment he had with the boy, King also continued writing.

“He became obsessed with this journal,” Canedy said. “He wrote 200 pages, most of it from Iraq, about the power of prayer and how to choose a wife. He made an exercise program for [Jordan]. He told him why he loved me [and] why he wanted a son.”

The Bottom Line

This film is based upon the true lives of Dana Canedy, Army 1st Sgt. Charles M. King and their son Jordan.

I was most touched when Jordan insisted that he and his mother visit the grave of his father at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Jordan read from his father’s journal to a small group of family, friends and those who served with 1st Sergeant King in Iraq. Jordan read from his father’s journal that, “Love is worth fighting for.” Love of family, love of the mother, love of the father and love for the nation.

It was a poignant moment when Jordan, the son, for the first time meets his father at his grave site.

We pray for all of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who are in harms way as we write this review.

Denzel Washington said, “I wanted to please God” by making A Journal for Jordan. I believe he succeeded beyond his wildest expectations.

This is a film that all need to review and reflect upon.

THE GETTYSBURG ADDRESS

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow — this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. What Does 2022 Hold in Store for our Greatest Generation of Floridians?

While many millions of Floridians and tourists from afar are celebrating the 2021 holiday season amongst family and friends, many thousands of Floridians are in lockdown terror inside of nursing home guardianships, wherein they are deprived of contacts and communications with the outside world, including their own spouses with whom scores of precious years were spent together. Floridians who bear the extreme weight of court-ordered professional guardianships alone cannot attend their own religious services ever again, rejoice in family events ever again, or even embrace their lifetime mates ever again.

Elder advocates say that this is not America; naturalized immigrants having fled to this land do not recognize her any more; military families cannot comprehend how their sacrifices were for naught in their old age; and patriotic homes grieve endlessly for their missing loved ones trapped inside of tiny rooms, like cells, without telephones, computers, envelopes and stamps, and any means of sending and receiving messages.

Families and marriages are torn asunder every day by guardians’ decisions and corresponding judicial actions. In rural Suwanee County, Richard Herring has been separated and isolated from his wife for more than four years, suffering from medical crises alone in his forbidding cell. Near Tallahassee, capital of the Sunshine State, there is no sun shining and no Christmas visits or gifts for 92-year-old Victor Lambou. For Jews in professional guardianships, there are bitter isolations, restrictions, and religious and sensory deprivations – no contact orders, no kosher foods, no Jewish holiday observances, and court-ordered cremations instead of proper Jewish funerals and burials. Jewish Wards Al Katz, Jan Garwood, Marie Winkelman, and Idelle Stern all suffered such pronounced deprivations of their rights to freely practice their religion. Bradenton Guardian Anne Ridings took Alice Yaniscavitch’s adored rosary and cherished wedding rings from her before her death alone in guardianship lockdown, as her family begged to bring Alice home from Anne’s COVID-infested forced nursing home placement for Alice.

Beloved husband Hershel Harber died alone in guardianship lockdown forcibly separated for months from his wife, who ordered an autopsy of his body marked with multiple level four bed sores open to the bone. Beloved father Dr. Dale Kewitz lost his life to gangrene in a Manatee County guardianship, with photographs recording Dale’s excruciating last months of his life.

While it takes but moments for a probate court – completely unfamiliar with a potential Ward – to overturn a productive lifetime of achievements and familial relationships, it would take the rest of a lifetime to recover from the emotional traumas, medical neglect, and financial excesses and exploitations inherent in masses of Florida’s thousands of guardianships proliferating from coast to coast at the expense of human dignity and success.

Is this America? Is this the New Year 2022 for our truly “Greatest Generation” whose lives, loves, and limbs were lost to preserve our human rights to freely practice our religions and to protect the integrity of the American family? Let us pray for forgiveness of our collective sins in letting human blood spill from bed sores and gangrene that kill and all other manifestations of needless suffering through neglect, abuse, and exploitation of our elders. Let us pray steadfastly that no Floridians know any further heinous guardianship realities blood-staining the State of Florida.

When all the nerds died, all the trans people appeared. Coincidence?

An American mother mourns the loss of her nerdy teenager in the transgender tsunami.


Do you know why it matters whether you use a 1.85:1 aspect ratio or a 2.39:1 aspect ratio? I don’t, because I refuse to learn. This is a long-running discussion in my marriage. My husband seems very insistent that the distinction between the two is critical. The more he insists, the less I care, and neither of us is backing down.

My husband is the definition of a nerd. Nerds will die on the hill of aspect ratios, even if it means clearing the room. We all know a nerd. We all know when we need them, and when we want to avoid them. They’re handy with fixing the Ethernet connection; not so much with jazzing up the conversation at a work party.

Married to a nerd? You’ll know. Even your sister knows the pros and cons of 1.85:1 and 2.39:1 by now. Your friends ask who’s going to come to your dinner party. Subtext: please, please God, not the husband’s friends. The husband I can cope with, but the husband and his friends are too much.

In my son’s early years, I hoped that I might have passed on some natural indifference towards aspect ratios. Maybe I would have an ally who cared as little as I did. Or even less!

But no. By the time he was a toddler, he was shaping up to be a regular clone of my husband. When the leader of the Mommy & Me class asked the kids to throw out a word for everyone else to repeat, my son didn’t say bear or rabbit. He said: “the War in Afghanistan”. Obviously my husband’s room-clearing ability was genetic. I dropped my dear child off at the elementary school, and watched the other kids run away, to avoid being trapped in an intensely detailed conversation about the latest thing he’d picked up on.

But nobody calls kids “nerds” these days. It’s a word you hear less and less. In fact, nearly a decade and a half later, my now-teenage son sits in classrooms full of kids who probably say “nerd” as much as they say “square” or “loser”. As a category, “nerd” seems to be disappearing. Are its members (once proudly split between Star Trek and Star Wars clans) being absorbed into the general population? Is there a new word I just don’t know? Or are they disappearing completely? Are we witnessing… nerdocide?

I don’t think it’s only the nerds. The same thing has happened to tomboys, too. Maybe I’m showing my age, but where are all the girls who dirt-bike? All the teenage girls I see these days look the same. Where are the girls in oil-stained overalls, talking about engine parts?

And then there’s lesbians. A recent Gallup poll gives us some (nerdy) stats on this. The number of lesbians went up, all the way through the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s… but then it hit the down slope. When I first saw this, it really didn’t make sense. We’re all getting more tolerant nowadays, right? So why the shift? I know that lesbians aren’t all tomboys (or vice versa), but it looks like they’re both heading in the same direction: south. I couldn’t help thinking it’s the same thing that’s happening to the nerds.

But LGBT identification overall is going up. Way up.

It’s not that there are more gay guys: it’s that there are more trans people, as well as categories we didn’t have until recently, like non-binary. There are even people who say they’re queer and straight, which really does make me feel old. So are these new LGBT people (even the straight queers!) actually just the nerds and the tomboys from back in the day? It feels like the two things at least might be linked.

To me, this fits. All these kiddos are obsessed with bodies. I love a good selfie, but these young people really take it to the max. All they think about is how they look. I hate that the young are blamed for this… as if my generation would do oh-so-much better in the world of PornHub and Snapchat filters. But it’s not just the vain fixation with appearance.

Nerds have nowhere to go. Nerds used to have transferable skills. One nerd was better at programming, the other at art. These skills were a sort of currency. Once they were free of the school’s grip, men like my husband went out into the world to nerd it up. They went from being the target of wedgies to the target of acquisition bids.

The nerds in my son’s generation don’t seem proud of their skills because they’re not visible.

So going back to my son. This kid had obsessive craze after obsessive craze. Thomas the Tank Engine was his universe. He knew where that train ate, slept and played: him, and all the other trains in the station. Trust me. I heard all about it. But then, he got to know so much about Thomas that he hit Peak Thomas, and suddenly lost all interest.

So then it was rollercoasters. He knew everything about them: where the biggest was, the tallest was, the fastest was. I could have used Thomas and his friends as doorstops and he wouldn’t even have noticed. He was an expert on rollercoasters. He wrote a song about roller coasters. He was going to grow up to be a roller coaster designer. He built roller coasters. He drew roller coasters (a lot of them). We’d watch videos of roller coasters. This lasted until about the age of eight, when I’d finally got my head around rollercoasters, and then it was suddenly Minecraft, and he was an expert in that, instead.

Here’s the important point: nerd is a genetic trait. My mother-in-law warned me about this on the day of my wedding. Would my husband even notice that you could read the print on his t-shirt underneath his white tuxedo shirt? No, because it wasn’t about aspect ratios. So we got him changed into a plain t-shirt. But then he put on a bright red watch, which he thought was just fine, because it wasn’t about aspect ratios. She told me: “if it’s not technical, he’s just not interested.”

Like father, like son, I learned. My son was all-or-nothing: and once he dug through every little fact to become the world’s expert, he moved on to the next thing. One day, I guessed, he’d find his own aspect ratio.

But the next thing didn’t make any sense. He suddenly decided he was trans, even though he’d never shown any sign of femininity at all. In fact, the opposite. It’s not as though I thought this was exactly like the roller coasters, or Minecraft: he was coming into puberty, and trying to make sense of his place in the world, and his new feelings about girls. It was important to him.

But I also knew my kid and knew that as soon as he was interested in something, he’d throw himself into it 100%. So I guessed the best thing to do was to let him figure it out in his own time.

Just like his father’s inability to move on to the next topic, my son was suddenly unable to stop talking about transition. But it didn’t make sense to me, because he wasn’t thinking about what came after transition. Usually, he’d know every single aspect of what something entailed, from start to finish: but with his sudden obsession with transition, he wasn’t willing to research what kind of body he’d have afterwards. It was such a weird gap, and it made it difficult to take the whole thing seriously. Why did he care so much about the process of transition, but not its result?

I kept on coming back to this point, over and over. My son seemed to be glitching. He was stuck on repeat. Normally, he’d be doing everything he could to get all the details, so no one was as expert as he was. But he didn’t want to be an expert in transgenderism in the same way that he wanted to be an expert in roller coasters or Minecraft. He couldn’t bring himself to look at the consequences of the changes he said he wanted to make to his body. It was a blind spot. He knew all about transition, but nothing about the people who’d transitioned: and he didn’t want to find out, either.

The people I’ve told about this seem to think he won’t change his mind, but I know his mind. I know how he thinks, and how his big obsessions suddenly resolve themselves away. And I can’t help but wonder how this connects to gaming. Just before he got obsessed with transition, he was always playing video games, which gave him avatars he could customize, where he could be this or that, boy or girl.

Is that what he thought he’d be doing to his body? Didn’t he realize his body didn’t come with a reset button?

I didn’t need to do much research into hormones to know just how powerful those little things can be. I’m in menopause right now, and taking HRT, but my doctor has said I can’t go beyond five years because of the medical risk. If I face that risk in only five years despite having a body which has naturally produced estrogen all my life, what happens to my son’s male body in five years? How about ten? Thirty? Surely this is the kind of thing you’d care about, if you care about the finer points of roller coaster design. It matters when roller coasters go wrong. Engineers get sued. It should matter when hormones go wrong, too. It’s like he can’t understand his own body as a machine, which it is.

I’m already sceptical about medication. My husband was once told by his doctor that his cholesterol was too high and got prescribed statins to bring it down.

But my husband hated the idea of being on medication for life, so he decided to deal with it by exercise and diet. He cut down on sugar and dairy, went jogging once, and even that made enough of a difference to bring the number down. It made me wonder how much money these big corporations are raking in from medications that just aren’t researched enough.

So when I looked into all these drugs my kid wanted to take as part of his transition, I genuinely got nauseous. I already knew about Lupron, because a friend of mine took a few doses of it for IVF. Now she has a life-long heart problem, requiring constant monitoring and medication. Apparently, 1-10% of people who take puberty blockers like Lupron get heart problems: but heart disease runs in our family, on both sides. My son is way more likely to be in that 1-10%.

I have also always fed our son hormone-free meat and dairy, so supporting the use of hormones goes against my basic health principles. It’s so hard to find any real science behind anything to do with these hormones. Why does this gap exist?

My HRT is prescribed on the basis of long-term studies: the hormones my son wanted to use seemed to be prescribed on the basis that they were available, so hey, why not? It would be one thing if my kid were suicidal, or had always had some problem with the idea of himself as a man. I know that’s a very real thing for some kids. But he seemed to think he could take estrogen just because he wanted to, and treated the whole thing like it didn’t really matter that much. The nerd-brain he got from his dad wasn’t connecting cause with effect.

I can’t tell you everything about my kid, because it’s his healthcare, and his life. But I will say this: he’s so ahead in so many ways, but so behind in others. And I can also tell you that the way he talks about transition is nothing like the way people sometimes talk about it on the news.

The trans people we hear about are nothing like my son. For them, the story is salvation. Transition rescues them from misery. For my son, it’s like some weird loop he’s stuck in, which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with sexuality, or even sex.

It took me a long time to piece this together, but here is my realization. If he grew up when I did, his sub-culture would be nerd. But nerd has gone, and so he had to find something else. That’s so tough for young men, with all the porn they’re exposed to, and all these beautiful people in adverts all around them. I wish I could get him to see that his brains matter more than his body. I guess being trans is a way to be visible, since being a nerd isn’t.

Right now, we’re trying to get him to understand the medical consequences, and hoping he shifts his attention onto the next thing. But that will be hard. There are so few places where nerds are welcomed these days.

Are we medicating the nerds away? Are we convincing them that their bodies are just like avatars they can try on, or get rid of once they get bored? After all, if he goes through with this, it might not just be hormones. It might be surgery, too. I genuinely don’t think my son gets how permanent that is. I know it sounds crazy, but I really don’t.

And what’s wrong with just being a nerd? It was good enough for Bill Gates, Charles Darwin, Steve Jobs, Mozart and Albert Einstein.

I always wanted a nerd. Nerds are smart. They earn good money. They’re safe. Or at least they used to be. I wish my son would stop talking about gender and start living! It’s making him boring. And if I want to be bored, I can talk to my husband about aspect ratios.

I am an American working professional and mother. We live on the West Coast. My son is on the autism spectrum and has become convinced that he is transgender. My belief is that much of this new identity is a rewriting of his history.
