World Economic Forum Chairman: “Isn’t The Only Hope … That the Industrialized Civilizations Collapse?”

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as … conspiring with others around the world to build … one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” – David Rockefeller, CEO, Chase-Manhattan Bank

“Each year, the World Economic Forum convenes in Davos, Switzerland … What if a  small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? … Isn’t the only hope … that the industrialized civilizations collapse?  Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?” – Maurice Strong, co-founder, former chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF)

Klaus Schwab is the current chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), an organization that meets annually, determines the economic policy direction of the developed world and counts presidents, prime ministers, billionaires — essentially the “ruling class,” the elite — as its members.

But Schwab is also considered the universally-recognized public face of the “Great Reset,” the WEF’s public relations campaign which promises that by 2030, we will “own nothing and be happy.” Schwab’s name even adorns the cover of a best-selling book that incorporates the words “great reset,” into the title: “COVID-19: The Great Reset.”

In addition to the assurance that no one will own anything, other promises offered up by the WEF for 2030 include, “The US will no longer be the world’s superpower,” we will “eat a lot less meat,” and we’ll do a better job at “welcoming refugees,” owing to the projected 1 billion persons displaced by “climate change.”

That said, the notion of the “great reset” as an ideological construct owes its origins to deceased co-founder and former chairman of WEF — billionaire environmentalist and oil company tycoon — Maurice Strong.

And this matters, why? Because Schwab credits Strong with being his central “mentor” in the development of the World Economic Forum.  He even attributes WEF’s current influence to Strong’s mentoring.

“He was my mentor since the creation of the Forum: a great friend; an indispensable advisor; and, for many years, a member of our Foundation Board. Without him, the Forum would not have achieved its present significance.

“I am grateful to him for his guidance and partnership. I will always remember the hundreds of hours where we exchanged ideas.

“I will miss not only his advice but also his humour. …” [Emphasis added.]

Strong was well-known in the private sector as the former CEO of Petro-Canada, and secondarily, as the long-serving chief executive of Power Corporation — a lucrative investment firm worth roughly $50 Billion. Strong enjoyed a cushy retirement in Communist China.

But Strong’s role as chairman of the World Economic Forum in its infancy is less well-known. In a rare and candid interview, Strong pulled the curtain back regarding the coming “global reset” (though he didn’t call it the “reset,” of course.)

Much of the following comes from Canadian reporter Daniel Wood’s interview with Strong,  titled, “The Wizard Of the Baca Grande,” and was originally published in WEST Magazine (May, 1990).

Strong sets the the stage by describing a regular year at Davos:

“Each year, the World Economic Forum convenes in Davos, Switzerland. Over 1,000 CEO’s, prime ministers, finance ministers, and leading academics gather in February to attend meetings and set economic agendas for the year ahead.”

That’s about the most normal thing Strong says in the entire interview, as he quickly turns to a discussion of what it might look like when the metaphorical “trigger” is pulled by global elites:

“What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth is the rich countries?

“And if the world is to survive, the rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment

“Will they do it?…” [Emphasis added]

Strong continues:

“Will they agree to save the earth? The group’s conclusion is ‘no.’ …

“The rich countries won’t do it.

“They won’t change.” [Emphasis mine.]

So, in order to save the planet, the group asks:

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about?

“It’s February. They’re all at Davos. These aren’t terrorists. They’re world leaders. They have positioned themselves in the world’s commodities and stock markets.

“They’ve engineered, using their access to stock markets and computers and gold supplies, a panic.

“Then, they prevent the world’s stock markets from closing. They jam the gears. They hire mercenaries who hold the rest of the world leaders at Davos hostage.

“The markets can’t close. The rich countries. ….” [Emphasis added]

Before his death, Strong did actually address his infamous remarks  from the 1990 interview on the heels of a particularly searing episode of Glenn Beck in 2010 called“The Climate of Fear.”

Beck led off his segment with a monologue on Strong’s controversial hypothetical, “Isn’t the only hope … that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to ring that about?”

In defense of the seemingly indefensible, Strong writes:

“A particularly dishonest statement … citing a fictional account which was clearly stated to be an extreme scenario of what might happen by the year 2030 if we failed to act

“This specifically stated that it was not a prediction, and certainly not a recommendation, but the kind of prospect we must seek to avoid.” [Emphasis added.]

Such a response is what most people would expect from someone at Strong’s level when caught pants down around the ankles, and forced to give an explanation.

Alternatively, some might suggest that Strong unwittingly (or intentionally) employed the unofficial motto of the Central Intelligence Agency in his alleged rebuttal:

“Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations.”

So, what about Strong’s so-called rebuttal?  First, denial is not refutation, nor does it alter the very real impression many readers of his 1990 comments will come away with.

And that impression arguably does not suggest Strong (and the WEF) were (or are) trying to “avoid” an “extreme scenario.”

Quite the opposite — it appears that Strong is prepared for resigned to the dystopian reality of his “fictional account.”

And this is despite his cautious preface of the “fictional account” as a contrived story intended to illustrate what “might happen by the year 2030.”

Moreoverthe level of specificity surrounding details about key aspects of what Strong warns “might happen” do not lend themselves to improvised storytelling.

At the close of Wood’s interview with the WEF co-founder is a sobering realization that applies no less to Schwab than it does to Strong, and carries equal weight today:

“This is not any story-teller talking. This is Maurice Strong. He knows these world leaders. He is, in fact, co-chairman of the Council of the World Economic Forum. He sits at the fulcrum of power. He is in a position to do it.” [Emphasis added.]

FLORIDA: Muslim arrested for shooting at random cars in busy gas station parking lot

We will probably soon hear that Ahmad Jihad Bojeh is mentally ill, but it is also true that the Islamic State and al-Qaeda have repeatedly called upon Muslims in the U.S. to do violence to random people.

“Deputies arrest man accused of shooting at cars at Wawa gas station,” FOX 35 News, May 15, 2021:

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man deputies say was caught on video shooting at cars in a busy Wawa gas station parking lot.

Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, 24, has been arrested for attempted first-degree murder.

Deputies say they responded to the Wawa at 4397 W. Vine Street in Kissimmee on Thursday night.

“The suspect was captured on video shooting at the victim and at random vehicles in the parking lot,” deputies said….

Muslim Mob Screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’ Attacks Jewish Man in Midtown Manhattan

WARNING: Graphic video of Jew Attacked by Mob in Midtown New York City

My latest in PJ Media:

Given the ferocity of the far-left’s hatred of Israel and its increasing propensity for violence, this was perhaps inevitable: earlier this week in midtown Manhattan, right outside the New York Public Library, a Muslim mob screaming “Allahu akbar” violently assaulted a Jewish man, leaving him bleeding from a head wound. Posting video of the incident on Twitter, Times of Israel contributor Joshua Washington labeled it: “Attempted lynching of a Jewish man in New York.” Yet nothing is more certain in our morally confused age that the attackers went away thinking they were on the side of righteousness.

[Graphic video]

Another video of the incident that was posted on Rumble shows the mob that attacked the man screaming “Allahu akbar,” “F**k you, Zionist pig,” and “Palestine’s too strong for you.” Independent journalist Elad Eliahu reported that “According to one protester, a passer-by made really hateful comments towards free Palestine protesters which allegedly lead to one throwing a chair at this man as he was mobbed by others. He was eventually led into a store by an officer after being chased.” This is Bill de Blasio’s New York, and so it was no surprise that, as Eliahu noted, “According to sources the NYPD’s riot squad caught the protester who allegedly threw the chair, proceeded to not arrest and let him go.”

Of course they did. The left is on the side of the Palestinians, and so Palestinian protesters assaulting a Jew are going to have a hard time getting arrested in the far-left one-party oligarchy that New York City has become. We should just be grateful that de Blasio doesn’t give the chair-wielding thug the key to the city. After all, he and his comrades believe that the Palestinians are acting on a righteous cause.

The protesters who mobbed this Jewish man obviously believe that as well: their screams of “Allahu akbar” make that clear. “Allahu akbar” does not mean “God is great,” as the establishment media frequently claims, but “Allah is greater,” that is, the god of Islam is superior to the god of the infidels, or to any other infidel entity. It is a declaration of the victory and superiority of Islam, which is why jihad terrorists so often shout it. Its usage by the mob in New York City also underscores the fact that Palestinian activists tend to see the conflict in Islamic terms.

There is more. Read the rest here.

On The Brink Of Collapse: America’s Declining Population Growth

Population decline is coming to America. Radical change is on the way.

Before the 1965 Immigration Act, the US was approaching zero population growth. The “land of the free and home of the brave,” as we call ourselves, has had below-replacement fertility since the early 1970s. We now see that fifty years of importing a new people merely delayed the inevitable. Immigration, which has slackened of late, is no longer a viable solution to either population decline or our mounting economic woes. Those of recent immigrant background have clambered aboard the below-replacement fertility bandwagon. Besides, there are not enough jobs to go around. Bottom line: Americans are having fewer children every year. In the 2020 year of Covid, twenty-five of fifty states had more deaths than births.

This is nothing new to demographers. But the New Normal has rocketed to public attention with a report titled Births: Provisional Data for 2020 from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The report has once and for all discredited a smug commentariat’s early predictions that the Covid-19 lockdown would lead to a baby boom. In fact, it has been just the opposite. Births were down significantly in December 2020, nine months after the lockdowns began. There is no doubt about it – the virus, the lockdown and its resulting economic shock caused millions of couples to delay having children.

From 2019 to 2020, the number of US births decreased 4%, from 3.75 million to 3.6 million. For the past six years (2015-2020) births have declined an average of 2% per year.

No ethnic or racial group was spared. In the same 2019-2020 period, the number of births declined among all: 8% for Asian-Americans, 6% for American Indian/Alaskan Natives, 4% for non-Hispanic Whites, 4% for non-Hispanic Blacks, 3% for Hispanics, and 2% for Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islanders.

The corresponding decline in general fertility rates among these groups was 9% for Asian-Americans; 7% for American Indian/Alaska Natives; 4% for non-Hispanic Whites, non-Hispanic Blacks, and Hispanics; and 3% for Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islanders.

There was a precipitous decline (8%) in the teenage birthrate (ages 15-19). Births to teenagers have been falling since 1991 and have declined 80% in the last 20 years. The government has long considered teen pregnancy a public health issue, as teenage births are usually out of wedlock, with subpar prenatal care and dim prospects for a stable family to rear children.

Most of these teenagers are scarcely getting by, with low skills and limited incomes, so this particular trend is not due to any improved economic status. Surveys show that today’s teens are less sexually active than their predecessors, have easy access to contraception and abortion, are ceaselessly tethered to their digital devices, vulnerable to a toxic popular culture centered on self-gratification and crushing peer pressure, while bedeviled by drug abuse, pornography, and a host of other distractions. Things have changed a bit since yours truly came of age!

In 2010, the average age of females at the time of the birth of their first child was 23. In 2020 it was 27.

In that 10-year span, there was a 6% birthrate decline for ages 20-24 and a 4% decline for ages 25-29. These are record lows. The 30-34 demographic declined 4%; ages 35-39, 2%; and ages 40-44, 2%. The birthrate for those aged 45-49 remained the same. As couples delay having children, the 45-49 window is where the biological clock runs out.

University of New Hampshire demographer Kenneth Johnson has stated the obvious, saying: “The [US] birthrate is the lowest it’s ever been.”

Since the 2008 financial crisis, the overall US birth rate has fallen almost 20%. Yes, the population continues to grow, though in the last half-decade growth is at the slowest rate since the Census began in 1790. As the baby boom generation passes from the scene, there will be successively smaller generations to replace them. Slow growth will yield to no growth, then negative growth.

So America is ageing. Its population will start to decrease. While the elderly do not yet outnumber the young, we are ineluctably headed for that inverted demographic pyramid. Every day there are more elderly to take care of and fewer workers to support them.

Something’s got to give. The ageing of America is upon us just when decades of fiscal profligacy are coming home to roost. The US debt-to-GDP ratio is 127% and rising. In fiscal 2020 the US government collected $3.5 trillion in revenues, or $10,457 per person, while spending $6.6 trillion, or $19,962 per person. The US National Debt is $27.7 trillion and counting.

This fiscal madness is a grave threat to American family life. How? The US dollar is the world’s dominant reserve currency, so all countries hold dollars for trade. Reckless US spending inevitably weakens the dollar. Consequently there is a budding global dedollarisation movement.

Should that prevail and the dollar is replaced as the dominant reserve currency, dollar purchasing power will collapse. It’s called inflation. That, coupled with a shrinking workforce due to below-replacement fertility, will mean crunch time. An economic downturn? We ain’t seen nothing yet. The title of Pat Buchanan’s superb 2011 book Suicide of a Superpower comes to mind.

If you want to start a family, you should do so as soon as possible.

Catholic League: Critical Race Theory Is ‘Inherently Racist’

In a statement on the Catholic League website Thursday, the organization’s President Bill Donohue warned that Critical Race Theory (CRT), which smears the United States as a deeply racist nation, is itself “an inherently racist prescription” because “it judges people on the basis of their skin color, not their individual traits.”

CRT “is a textbook example of promoting racism in the name of fighting it.” Today, “there is no shortage of educators, reporters, activists, and lawmakers who claim to oppose racism while harboring an agenda that sometimes promotes it,” Donohue states. He pointed out that there are those who have a vested interest in stoking “the perception that we are a racist nation,” a notion that is now “widespread.”

Lies about systemic racism are purveyed by dishonest groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), Donohue asserts, “a left-wing activist organization that claims to monitor such offenses.”

“SPLC has racism on the brain,” he adds, noting the group’s 2020 report that laments the fact “the majority of Americans thought that Black Lives Matter (BLM) violence in 2020 was a bigger problem than police violence against blacks.”

“Real racism and extremism, as the Catholic Church understands it, must be opposed and defeated,” Donohue concludes. “It does not help this noble cause when prominent Americans and non-profit organizations are bent on finding racism under every rock.”

Critical Race Theory

3 Known Connections

Founded by the late Derrick Bell, critical race theory is an academic discipline which maintains that society is divided along racial lines into (white) oppressors and (black) victims, similar to the way Marxism frames the oppressor/victim dichotomy along class lines. Critical race theory contends that America is permanently racist to its core, and that consequently the nation’s legal structures are, by definition, racist and invalid. As Emory University professor Dorothy Brown puts it, critical race theory “seeks to highlight the ways in which the law is not neutral and objective but designed to support white supremacy and the subordination of people of color.” A logical derivative of this premise, according to critical race theory, is that the members of “oppressed” racial groups are entitled—in fact obligated—to determine for themselves which laws and traditions have merit and are worth observing. Further, critical race theory holds that because racism is so deeply ingrained in the American character, classical liberal ideals such as meritocracy, equal opportunity, and colorblind justice are essentially nothing more than empty slogans that fail to properly combat—or to even acknowledge the existence of—the immense structural inequities that pervade American society and work against black people. Thus, according to critical race theorists, racial preferences (favoring blacks) in employment and higher education are not only permissible but necessary as a means of countering the permanent bigotry of white people who, as Bell put it, seek to “achieve a measure of social stability through their unspoken pact to keep blacks on the bottom.”

Biden’s Kakistocracy: A Government Led by the Least Competent

kak·i·sto·cra·cy

noun

  1. government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state.

“the danger is that this will reduce us to kakistocracy”

a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens.

It is now clear that the Biden administration is a Kakistocracy. Daily we are seeing the ineptness of the Biden cabinet and those appointed by Biden to key government positions.

This incompetence is being felt by American citizens in the following areas:

  1. The economy.
  2. Foreign policy.
  3. Border security.
  4. National security.
  5. Cyber security.
  6. Inflation.
  7. Growing national debt.
  8. Out of control spending.
  9. Lack of moral leadership.
  10. Healthcare malfeasance.
  11. The focus on undoing everything and anything that serves the best interests of legal American citizens.
  12. Election fraud.
  13. Voter fraud.

The policies of the Biden administration are rapidly destroying America and the Constitutional rights of each and every citizen.

When ever one sees this level of government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state one must scratch their collect heads and wonder how did we get here.

The answer is simple. The 2020 election was stolen and is now The Big Lie. Biden, his administration, those in the big social media platforms, the fake news and corporations are promoting the big lie.

Worse these collectivists are not holding Biden and his administration to task, as they did for the Trump administration, for its blatantly failed policies.

Because of this failure to hold Biden accountable we have officially become a Kakistocracy. The blind are leading the blind, encouraged on by media, the Democrat Party, social media and woke corporations.

God help us all.

‘Biden’s’ Energy Secretary On Gas Crisis: If You Drove an Electric Car, ‘This Would Not Be Affecting You’

Evil clowns tearing this country apart.

“Let them eat cake!”

Biden’s Energy Secretary On Gas Crisis: If You Drove an Electric Car, ‘This Would Not Be Affecting You’

By Joseph Curl • May 13, 2021 • DailyWire.com •

Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm appeared at a press briefing at the White House on Tuesday and took questions about the gas crisis caused by a cyber attack against a major pipeline.

“I just have a question for each of you. I’ll start with you, Secretary Granholm, because ladies first,” a reporter asked. “Obviously, we have the acute issues with the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack. But looking more holistically in a macro view, how does this speed up the efforts at DOE to move in more of a renewable direction since this is going to have an impact on people at the pump?”

“Yeah, I mean, we obviously are ‘all in’ on making sure that we meet the president’s goals of getting to 100% clean electricity by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050,” Granholm said. “And, you know, if you drive an electric car, this would not be affecting you, clearly. “

“But it’s just — it’s another — it’s — I don’t want to — this company is acting in a responsible way,” Granholm said. “They took their pipeline down so that the ransomware would not spread. And so, up to this point, they have — they’re carefully reviewing so that they’re doing this in a responsible way.”

While Colonial Pipeline’s operations have resumed, at least in part, it will take more than two weeks for gasoline in Houston to reach many sites on the East Coast, according to new reports.

“Transit times for gasoline to pass through Colonial’s network of pipelines that allow oil products to flow from the U.S. Gulf Coast, up to its North Carolina hub, and then on to New York Harbor, is 14 days and 16 hours, at a speed of about 5 miles per hour, according to the most recent schedule sent to shippers,” Bloomberg News reported. “Diesel and jet fuel, heavier and more dense products, need about 19 days to make the same trip that spans about 1,600 miles through the busiest pipeline system in America.”

Colonial on Friday was hit with a cyber attack forced the closure of the 5,500-mile pipeline, which moves more than 100 million gallons of fuel from Texas to New Jersey every day — nearly 50% of the fuel consumed on the East Coast. The company suspended all operations since the attack, but on Thursday issued a statement saying operations have resumed.

The company said it “has made substantial progress in safely restarting our pipeline system and can report that product delivery has commenced in a majority of the markets we service.”

GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan said he expects shortages to get worse over the next two days, writing on Twitter: “While the Colonial Pipeline is restarting, the outage numbers may drift higher over the next 48 hours before then beginning to fall.”

De Haan, though, had a shorter timeline than Bloomberg. “About 7-14 days of headaches if you need fuel in GA, NC, SC or VA. The situation will definitely take time and slowly improve due to a high number of outages and higher number of stations to refuel,” he tweeted.

Biden adviser ‘has echoed Iranian regime talking points and has made excuses for Iran’s oppressive government’

A traitor class is in power in Washington. Unless, of course, you think making excuses for a regime that frequently chants “Death to America” is the highest form of patriotism.

Lawmakers Demand State Dept. Revoke Security Clearance for Appointee Tied to Iranian Regime

by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, May 10, 2021:

Several lawmakers are demanding the State Department revoke the security clearance of and launch an investigation into a Biden administration appointee who they say has troubling ties to Iran’s hardline, anti-American government.

Reps. Jeff Van Drew (R., N.J.), Scott Perry (R., Pa.), and Yvette Herrell (R., N.M.) say the Biden administration made a serious mistake when it hired Ariane Tabatabai as a senior adviser to the Office of the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, a high-level position that requires security clearance. Tabatabai’s hiring first sparked controversy in March, when a group of Iranian dissidents outed her as an Iranian regime sympathizer whose family has close ties to the ruling theocratic regime, as the Washington Free Beacon first reported in March.

The lawmakers, in a letter sent late last month to the White House, demand Tabatabai’s security clearance be revoked until a proper investigation is launched into her “allegiance to the Iranian regime,” which the lawmakers say poses “a security threat to the United States,” according to a copy of that communication. They also request the Biden administration provide them with a classified briefing on the security screening process that permitted Tabatabai to obtain a government clearance. As the United States engages in negotiations with Iran aimed at inking a revamped nuclear deal, Tabatabai’s purported ties to the regime and high-level State Department posting are generating serious concerns, the lawmakers say.

“We respectfully ask for a classified briefing on Ariane Tabatabai’s connection to the Iranian Regime, as well as an additional background check to closely examine her ties to it,” they write in the April 23 letter.

Tabatabai’s critics—including the lawmakers and Iranian dissident groups who oppose the hardline government—outlined multiple public appearances in which she parroted Iranian regime propaganda and downplayed the import of democratic protests that threaten to topple Iran’s clerical leadership. They see the administration’s decision to hire Tabatabai as a sign the State Department intends to appease Iran and offer it significant concessions as part of any revamped nuclear deal.

Tabatabai, the lawmakers write, “has echoed Iranian regime talking points and has made excuses for Iran’s oppressive government. She has downplayed the significance of dissatisfaction that Iranians have with their government, stating that protesting is a ‘feature in the Islamic Republic’ and is an ‘inherent part of Iranian public life.’” Additionally, in December 2020, Tabatabai “claimed that Iran has ‘affirmed its place as a significant regional force.’”

In addition to her writings, Tabatabai’s father, Dr. Javad Tabatabai, is a senior faculty member at the state-controlled University of Tehran and is allegedly part of Iranian president Hassan Rouhani’s inner circle, according to information published by Iranian dissident groups.

State Department spokesman Ned Price expressed outrage over the letter when asked for comment by the Free Beacon. While the State Department generally does not comment on correspondence from Congress, Price disregarded that practice to dispute what he described as “smears and slander.”…

‘Every day was a nightmare’: Two horror stories about Facebook wrapped in one

The dark underbelly of the social media behemoth has been exposed.

Members of the Irish parliament have been listening to a very disturbing story. Facebook is a big player in the Irish tech economy but the underbelly of this giant is now being exposed. Within its entrails it is harbouring a monster.

Isabella Plunkett has worked as a Facebook content moderator for just over two years,

She has now told the parliament’s Joint Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment, about her nightmare job as a moderator, viewing graphic content up to eight hours a day. The job is so stressful that Facebook has to provide 24/7 counseling support for staff — but clearly what they do is totally inadequate. Apparently she is the first moderator to speak on the record to a government hearing anywhere in the world.

There are two horror stories wrapped in one here.

The first is the story of Isabella and all her co-workers in this role. This morning the BBC has told this in its searing detail and the nightmare is clearly still raging. Nothing that Facebook is currently doing or promising to do is solving the problem and the burden that it is asking these workers to endure.

Isabella’s job is to review posts on the platform — which can contain graphic violence, exploitation, extremism, abuse and suicide.

But what, we must ask, does it say about us as a society, as a civilisation, that we have allowed a platform to exist in our midst which is facilitating traffic like this across the world — or that can bring itself to ask a young person to expose themselves to such evil? There is a moral principle which tells us that what it is not good to desire it is not good to look at. This is for a reason — and the reason is that by exposing oneself to evil one risks being contaminated by that evil, even against one’s better judgment.

“It’s not like a normal job where you can go to work and go home and forget about it — the stuff you’re seeing is really ingrained in your mind,” she said.

Isabella processes around 100 a day – these can be videos, images or text posts on the platform. She said they often contain graphic violence, suicide, exploitation and abuse. “Every day was a nightmare,” she said, adding that the support given was “insufficient.”

“It’s not enough. I’m now seeing the content I view in work in my dreams. I remember it, I experience it again and it is horrible. You never know what is going to come next and you have to watch it the full way through because they might have violators.”

“It would follow me home. I could just be watching TV at home and think back to one of the horrible, really graphic tickets” — the terms for the units she had to watch.

Depressing for all of us is the realisation that corrupted human nature has been capable of generating the volume of evil which this exposure is now revealing. The pain and misery of Isabella Plunkett is heart-rending but the sea of pain and misery which this monstrous alien living and thriving in the body of Facebook must dismay us beyond horror. That it is so persistent decades after its mothership arrived among us is surely evidence that it is nowhere near vanquished.

The 26-year-old Plunkett says she could not speak to her friends or family about the things she saw at work due to a non-disclosure agreement which she had signed at the beginning of her contract. “It was always clear we couldn’t speak about our job, we couldn’t speak about our job to friends, family… and it’s definitely a workplace with a sense of secrecy.”

Well, it might be, but there are harmless secrets and there are lethal secrets which should not be secret — like the one the Chinese authorities kept under wraps for too long in Wuhan.

“What you’ve seen now is 15-plus years of self-regulation by Facebook,” Cori Crider, the director of Foxglove, a UK-based group that advocates for moderators, told VICE News. “You’ve basically had no regulation of something that is at least as big and as important as broadcast media. And it’s been shown not to work, not just for the conditions of this workforce but frankly for the health of the public square as a whole.”

Many of us use Facebook every day. I may also buy my newspaper in a store which peddles unspeakable merchandise on its top shelves. I may consider that this does not compromise me morally. But at what point do I draw the line? These revelations about the suffering of a young woman and the potential corruption of our society at large may be forcing us to make a choice we might rather not have to face.

An Open Letter on Critical Race Theory to Florida Gov. DeSantis and Comm’r of Education Corcoran

by Keith Flaugh and Pastor Rick Stevens

Thank you, Governor DeSantis and Commissioner Corcoran, for your bold and courageous leadership. Your determination to protect Florida’s children from harmful ideologies is commendable and inspiring!

Governor, we all breathed a sigh of relief when you announced that the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in Florida and similar theories are “wacko” and unacceptable in Florida. You have been very clear that embracing a traditional American education focused on reading, writing, math, and civics is the only acceptable way forward. What a seemingly wonderful thing that Florida students would once again be getting a great education. However, with FL DOE-approved materials now being adopted and purchased in addition to the US DOE order to provide CRT grants directly to Florida School Districts, how wrong we were! We all must remember that Communists NEVER stop.

Governor DeSantis, on behalf of over 110,000 active Florida Citizens Alliance supporters and many of our over 100 partner groups, we are urging you to issue a joint Executive Order immediately that:

1) Stops the adoption of ELA textbooks until the FL DOE can be 100% confident that all the textbooks and teacher editions are completely free of Critical Race Theory and its many tentacles (The solution is original sourced materials and classical literature already in the B.E.S.T. ELA Standards.)

2) Strictly prohibits any school district in Florida from accepting a direct federal grant related to Critical Race Theory or its many tentacles.

Use your Executive power as Florida’s Governor and the 10th Amendment to just say NO!

If NOT, Critical Race Theory will be a huge embarrassment to you and all of Florida; and it will be infused into our classrooms for the next 4-6 years!

To be clear on what Critical Race theory is, here are recent quotes from Hillsdale’s Imprimis:

“Critical race theory is fast becoming America’s new institutional orthodoxy… built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism. There are a series of euphemisms deployed by its supporters to describe critical race theory, including “equity,” “social justice,” “diversity and inclusion,” and “culturally responsive teaching.” Critical race theorists, masters of language construction, realize that “neo-Marxism” would be a hard sell. Equity, on the other hand, sounds non-threatening and is easily confused with the American principle of equality…. It has been injected into government agencies, public school systems, teacher training programs, and corporate human resources departments in the form of diversity training programs, human resources modules, public policy frameworks, and school curricula.” [link to complete Hillsdale assessment]

As we write this letter, Florida School Districts are adopting ELA Textbooks. Florida Citizens Alliance supporters and our extended team are just beginning to assess ELA adoption processes taking place in all Florida counties. What we are finding is unacceptable. It is another effort by the large publishers to promote their progressive agenda. These ELA materials continue to reflect the principles of Common Core (i.e., Social Emotional Learning, Equity, Social Justice, Diversity, and Inclusion and worse), and these materials will be in our schools for the next 4-6 years! They completely undermine the great work done by the FL DOE to create the B.E.S.T ELA and Math Standards. However, standards without supporting content are worthless.

An honest, academic, traditional American education is the most important gift we can give our children. A moratorium must be immediately declared to stop all 67 counties from purchasing materials that embrace Critical Race Theory, 1619 Project, and BLM Marxist materials. We should be embracing original sources and truly classical content. These are public domain and available at $.10 on the dollar for mere printing. In addition, it must be clear that an activist teacher bringing supplemental materials into the classroom that undermine our principle Judeo-Christian and original Constitutional values will NOT be tolerated.

Under a different name with new adjectives and nouns, CRT is concealed, shrouded, veiled, or disguised in the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) ELA curriculum.  With the use of subtle messages and euphemisms, teachers are guided to teach Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, etc. Feelings are more important than facts.

One of the major contributors to the Houghton, Mifflin, Harcourt (HMH) texts is Dr. Tyronne C. Howard. He is an “expert” in CRT from the University of California. Why is Florida approving textbooks from California or these global publishing companies that are still wedded to Common Core?

Examples:

  • See SRC Attachment 1 taken from the Kindergarten curricula from HMH approved by the FL DOE and found in Santa Rosa County ELA teachers editions of materials being adopted. By the time these children graduate, they will not be able to read, but they will be great activists who hate their families, GOD, and America.  What a horrible thing to do to a child.
  • HMH also uses the theories of their Happiness expert Podcast: The Future of Happiness and Education Feat. Tal Ben-Shahar
  • See IRC Attachment 2 found in Indian River County from materials being adopted. We must never forget the Globalists are communists with a singular objective to control the masses. The less educated, the easier to control.
  • The End of Basic Education: Biden Issues Universal Public School Critical Race Theory Order

FLCA has asked our supporters to check in their district to see if these textbooks and programs are part of their curriculum being adopted. The CRT case is building. Much more to come, but school districts are buying now, and once the $$ are spent, this cannot be undone.

“Leaders of Florida Citizens Alliance just finished a review of the standards to be adopted in Civics, Holocaust, and Character.  As a former teacher and Dean, I can tell you standards are meaningless. The curriculum and text are the only things that matter.  What are the students reading?  What is the teacher saying?  Why are character standards void of mention of family, God, and morality?

I have spoken with Floridians who are reviewing textbooks in their county. In some districts, the School Board is refusing to provide access to student and teacher editions. I was sent the summer curricula and reading list for Palm Beach County from a teacher. This is under a taxpayer grant system given to summer camps.  All is CRT.  See PBC attachment 3

And here are recent specifics in Broward County See BC Attachment 4:

Repeatedly, I have been told from those who have responded so far, all they get from their School Board is, “It’s on the FL DOE approved list.”  Yes, it is on the approved list.  So, I asked, ‘”How is it possible that these publishers continue to be approved in spite of the Governor’s statement condemning CRT?? Who makes these decisions? Since CRT and related theories are a national progressive agenda and national publishers were complicit in Common Core, it is more than certain that the other approved publishers have similar unacceptable content.”   Karen Schoen and fully supported by FLCA.

We will continue to find and expose multiple examples, but the most critical question to ask is, “what can be done NOW to stop this child abuse our education system is forcing on our 2.8 million public school children?”

Governor DeSantis and Commissioner Corcoran, we do not believe that you are aware of the devastating progressive content in these ELA materials that the 67 Counties are adopting.

Governor DeSantis, you are an amazing champion for liberty and an education system based on Judeo- Christian and original Constitutional values. School districts are spending real tax dollars as we speak, and these materials will be in Florida Classrooms for 4-6 years. It is imperative you both stop this immediately! Otherwise, this will be a debacle equal to or greater than the magnitude of the Common Core deception.

Please refer to the embedded links and details we have identified so far. We offer this all in the constructive and best interest of our students and parents.

Respectfully,

Keith Flaugh and Pastor Rick Stevens

How the Left Plans on Putting Boots on the Ground to Subdue Middle America

It was said during our Mideast military adventures, and has been considered a truism of war, that you can’t really win a conflict without “boots on the ground.” For it’s difficult to completely subdue a people from afar. It may not be too different with battles for civilization.

I stated in 2012, addressing a long-developing reality, that the culture war was over as the Left had achieved social dominance. “What is occurring now is a pacification effort,” I wrote — one designed to stamp out the “conservative” guerrilla-group diehards.

Other than its intensification, the only thing that has changed about this effort in the last decade is that it has a new name: “cancel culture.” With GoogTwitFace (Big Tech) having upped its bias and dropped its mask and corporate America joining academia, the media and entertainment on the Dark Side, these entities act as a malevolent monolith silencing dissident voices from Maine to Maui. But it would be naïve to think the Left, which craves power and wants total control, will be satisfied with its current soft authoritarianism.

This brings us to two developments that could cause the raising of eyebrows if not militias. Consider: If you heard about a Third World country in which the leadership was purging the military of political opponents, would you assume it was just an exercise in ideological nepotism? Or would you suppose the leaders wanted a military of devoted fellow travelers who would, when asked, unflinchingly turn their guns on domestic opponents of the regime who couldn’t be cowed via other methods?

Now, should the assumption be different just because the military purge occurs in a developed country?

Just such an event has been taking place in the U.S. for at least a decade. It began under Barack Obama, who not only tried to socially re-engineer the military but also engaged in a widely noted purge of top brass.

President Trump didn’t (couldn’t?) do enough to reverse this process, and now it has been kicked into high gear. Having largely corrupted the armed forces’ upper echelons, the Left now aims for rank-and-file ideological conformity. Thus do we hear about how we must stamp out the imaginary boogeyman du jour, “white supremacy,” from the military. Preposterously, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin even issued, in early February, 60-day stand-down order to address the alleged internal threat it poses.

Of course, white supremacists are about as common as straight, happily married women at a NOW convention; why, I’m well into middle age and I don’t know that I’ve ever met one. This isn’t to say there aren’t liberals delusional enough to believe the threat is real; that they’re detached from reality is partially why leftists are so dangerous.

Yet it’s clear there’s a different motivation among the Machiavellian leftists. It hasn’t escaped the Left’s notice that the military traditionally leaned Republican. Moreover, even if this has changed somewhat, having armed forces that are obedient to the ruling party to the point of wickedness isn’t possible with dissidents in the ranks. (Besides, “fragging” is a real thing.)

So you need a purge. You do this by conjuring up a boogeyman — in our case “white supremacy” — and then characterizing it as a widespread, existential threat. This now means defining Trump support, patriotism, opposition to illegal migration and, really, any deviation from the Left’s agenda at all as reflecting white supremacy.

It’s an old tactic: Portray already persecuted minorities or political opponents as the persecutors so you can leverage even more control over them. It’s how you create your own Enabling Act moment.

Pre-election polls showing that military members favored Joe Biden over Trump indicate how the armed forces have already been partially transformed (this is true even if the polls were manipulated, and some of what they reflect is general societal “leftward” drift). Yet controlling the military is only part of the equation. You must also own the other boots on the ground: the police.

As soon as the talk of dismantling/defunding/“re-imagining” law enforcement began last year, I pointed out that while much of the movement was driven by blind passion, there’s only one rational reason to want to nix the police. “Certain leftists want to eliminate the police,” I wrote June 7, “because they want to become the police.”

Power-mongers attack those whose power they crave. Leftists want centralized control over local police just as they now have control over the intelligence agencies. They especially want this because law enforcement is generally, it appears, even more conservative than the military (its members are older, for one thing).

In this vein, it hasn’t eluded leftists that certain sheriffs are engaging in nullification efforts, having vowed not to enforce some new anti-gun and/or COVID-related laws. Remember that sheriffs are elected by an area’s local population and, with most counties being conservative (Trump won 83 percent of counties, or about 2,600, in 2016), such nullification isn’t surprising; moreover, expect more resistance to radical leftism in a good portion of this 83 percent of the nation.

So while the Left is quickly gaining monolithic federal control by virtue of large population centers that vote (and steal votes) heavily for Democrats, controlling Middle America with its more patriotic police is a different matter.

That is, unless the Left can institute federal police. Ergo, the “re-imagining” of law enforcement.

Once your sheriff is an Antifa/BLM-sympathizing ideologue installed by D.C. (District of Communism) and hailing from 1,000 miles away — with no local community ties — he’ll happily “discipline” the white supremacists lurking around every corner.

If the Left can co-opt the military and police, it will have seized our country’s last two remaining (relatively) “conservative” institutions. It will also have what’s necessary to quash that impediment to total coast-to-coast hegemony: America’s framework and tradition of state and local control.

Leftists know that the Left-Right divide is intensifying and that more “conservative” states — such as Florida, South Dakota and South Carolina — are increasingly beating their own path. They know that increased nullification of federal dictates lies ahead (heck, leftists wrote the book on it with their violation of federal immigration and drug laws). And they know that as their philosophical soul mate Mao put it, “Power grows out the barrel of a gun.”

There’s no question that certain leftists have thought about using boots on the ground to conclude their pacification effort. Remember that Bill Clinton might have once said “I loathe the military” back when leftist protesters were calling Vietnam-era soldiers “baby killers” and that today’s socialist rabble spew venom at police. But they don’t in principle hate either institution.

And just as they’ve flipped from hating to liking the intelligence services because they now control them, so would they love the military and police — and use them with zeal — upon seizing them.

Also note that so-called “leftism” is not an ideology (how could it be? Its “principles” change continually). Rather, it currently represents movement toward moral disorder. And leftists are morally disordered people, the worst of them being vice-ridden, amoral and driven by base appetites such as power lust. As I wrote in “The Time for Talking with the Left is Long, Long Past,” perhaps the best way to prepare yourself for contending with them is to “pretend you’re dealing with Satan.”

Vanguard leftists are above nothing and beneath contempt. If you read the worst possible intentions into whatever they do, you won’t too often go wrong.

The Government’s War on Pipelines Made Us Vulnerable to Attacks on Our Infrastructure

The recent fuel disruptions show the danger in the government’s long war on oil pipelines.

Vickie Phillips received an unpleasant surprise when she stopped in for a fill-up at the Pop Shoppe in Greensboro, North Carolina on Monday.

There was no fuel.

“I can’t believe that we’re here and can’t even get gas,” Phillips told a local TV station. “People are tired of sitting in the house and they just want to get out and try to resume something of normality with their life and they’re definitely going to need fuel and gas to do that.”

Phillips was just one of thousands of people who saw their travel plans disrupted in the wake of a cyberattack on Friday targeting the Colonial Pipeline, a vital network of pipelines that run some 5,500 miles from the US Gulf Coast to New York Harbor.

The New York Times reported that many stations in southeastern states have placed caps on the amount of fuel consumers can purchase, while many stations have run out of fuel altogether.

In the wake of the disruption, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency, while Georgia Gov. Brain Kemp suspended the state’s gas tax. The Biden administration, meanwhile, lifted environmental regulations on the sale of gasoline in several states and the nation’s capital.

Following the attack, fuel futures jumped to $2.217, a three-year high.

There’s no question that the Colonial Pipeline is a key piece of infrastructure.

Analysts have described the pipeline as one of the most vital energy arteries in the country, one capable of carrying up to 3 million barrels of fuel—gasoline, diesel and jet fuel—per day to the East Coast.

“This is as close as you can get to the jugular of infrastructure in the United States,” Amy Myers Jaffe, research professor of the Climate Policy Lab, told Reuters. “It’s not a major pipeline. It’s the pipeline.”

Still, the widespread disruption seemed to surprise even the hackers responsible for the cyberattack.

“Our goal is to make money and not creating [sic] problems for society,” DarkSide, the group the FBI confirmed is responsible for the attack, wrote on its website.

This invites an important question: how was a single cyberattack able to derail an entire region of the most prosperous country in the world, disrupting the lives of millions of Americans?

One answer is that we simply don’t have enough oil pipelines. The Colonial Pipeline provides nearly half—45 percent—of the fuel consumed on the East Coast. As other astute commentators have noted, “one pipeline network shouldn’t be serving half of the East Coast’s fuel needs.”

The reality is regulatory hurdles have made it all but impossible to build new pipelines, which has placed a great deal of pressure on existing energy infrastructure. And it’s getting worse. Indeed, politicians are now actively scrapping pipelines that are instrumental to meeting future energy needs.

One of President Biden’s first initiatives was to scrap, by executive order, the Keystone Pipeline, a 1700-mile pipeline that could have carried roughly 800k barrels of oil each day from Alberta to the Gulf Coast. (Instead, the bulk of that fuel will be transported by railways, which are less environmentally friendly and more dangerous.)

Biden’s scrapping of the Keystone Pipeline received a great deal of attention, but it’s worth noting the action was part of a trend that has been largely overlooked. Across the US, pipelines are being targeted by politicians, regulators, and courts with great zeal.

A year ago, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took legal action to force the shutdown of the Line 5 Pipeline, which links Lake Michigan and Lake Huron and carries about 500,000 barrels of crude each day.

“Here in Michigan, the Great Lakes define our borders, but they also define who we are as people,” said Whitmer, who gave Enbridge Energy a deadline of May 2021 to stop the oil.

As of Tuesday, with the deadline rapidly approaching, the oil was still flowing. And news reports say Enbridge Energy and the Michigan governor are likely heading for a legal showdown.

Then there is the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. Last year Duke Energy and Dominion Energy announced the cancelation of the 600-mile project—which would have piped gas from West Virginia to eastern North Carolina—because delays and regulatory uncertainty had threatened “the economic viability of the project.”

The 1,200 mile-long Dakota Access Pipeline, which has been flowing since 2017, currently carries hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude through the Dakotas to Iowa and Illinois. While the Biden administration has announced it will not shut down the pipeline, a US district court judge did in July 2020. That ruling was overturned by a federal appellate court, but the pipeline’s fate hangs in the balance pending an environmental review.

For many, the lesson of the recent gas shortage is that we need more cybersecurity oversight.

“This pipeline shutdown sends the message that core elements of our national infrastructure continue to be vulnerable to cyberattack,” Mike Chapple, a professor in University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, told Reuters. “Securing our energy infrastructure is a national security issue that involves several different federal agencies and requires centralized leadership.”

Anyone who understands the “knowledge problem” will be rightly skeptical of solutions based on “centralized leadership,” especially when it comes to a “national security issue that involves several different agencies,” given the track records of the NSA, the TSA, the CDC, etc. What we really need is, not more, but less government oversight getting in the way of more pipelines.

The current disruption should serve as a reminder that fossil fuels are an essential part of human prosperity.

No one has made this point better than Alex Epstein, the author of The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels, who noted that cheap, plentiful fossil fuels—when married with human ingenuity—allow humans to improve the world around them.

“Fossil fuel technology transforms nature to improve human life on an epic scale. It is the only energy technology that can currently meet the energy needs of all 7+ billion people on this planet,” wrote Epstein. “Ultimately, the moral case for fossil fuels is not about fossil fuels; it’s the moral case for using cheap, plentiful, reliable energy to amplify our abilities to make the world a better place – a better place for human beings.”

The other side of that coin is that when energy is made needlessly expensive, scarce, and unreliable—whether by cybercriminals or politicians—it makes the world a more frustrating and unhappy place for human beings, as Vickie Phillips and many other Americans discovered this week.

“Biden” Economics: Inflation SKYROCKETS To Highest Levels Since Great Recession, Follows Disastrous Jobs

Democrats stole the election and blew up America, taking the world with it.- War in the Middle East

  • Crushing debt
  • Gas lines and shortages
  • High Taxes
  • Disastrous jobless report
  • Border crisis

Unhinged Democrat spending is rendering our currency worthless.

Remember, in 1923, at the most fevered moment of the German hyperinflation, the exchange rate between the dollar and the Mark was one trillion Marks to one dollar, and a wheelbarrow full of money would not even buy a newspaper. Most Germans were taken by surprise by the financial tornado. The German mark became so useless because of inflation that thieves would rather steal the suitcases or wheelbarrows that carried the money rather than the money.

It led to the rise of Hitler and WWII.

BREAKING: Inflation SKYROCKETS To Highest Levels Since Great Recession, Follows Disastrous Jobs Report

By Ryan Saavedra • Daily Wire • May 12, 2021:

President Joe Biden received further negative news Wednesday about the economic environment in the U.S. under his leadership as newly released numbers show that the economy is overheating and inflation is growing at an even higher rate than anticipated.

“Inflation accelerated at its fastest pace in more than 12 years for April as the U.S. economic recovery kicked into gear and energy prices jumped higher,” CNBC reported. “The Consumer Price Index, which measures a basket of goods as well as energy and housing costs, rose 4.2% from a year ago, compared to the Dow Jones estimate for a 3.6% increase. The monthly gain was 0.8%, against the expected 0.2%.”

The report sent the stock market tumbling shortly after it was released by the Department of Labor.

“Rising commodity markets, supply-chain blockages and hiring difficulties have prompted some investors to expect a prolonged upswing in consumer prices,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “That could lead the Federal Reserve to raise its target for short-term interest rates sooner than it has signaled, potentially weighing on stocks and other assets that have benefited from over a year of near-zero borrowing costs.”

The news comes less than a week after the Biden administration suffered a major setback when April’s jobs report showed that only 266,000 jobs were added to the economy, 700,000 less than had been projected.

The black unemployment rate increased, 18,000 manufacturing jobs were lost, no construction jobs were added, unemployment for Americans without any college education increased, and women had a net loss in jobs. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said that nearly 10 million Americans, 9.8 million to be exact, remained unemployed in Biden’s economy.

News of last week’s abysmal job numbers was made even worse when the job numbers from March, which originally saw an estimated gain of 916,000 new jobs, had been revised down to 770,000 jobs, “meaning that the net number of people employed over the past month, relative to what was known just hours ago, was a mere 120,000,” Bloomberg News reported.

Biden struggled to respond to the jobs report, claiming that it proved that the economy was “moving in the right direction” and that it showed “we’re on the right track.”

Biden faced further negative news this week about conditions in the U.S. under his leadership when U.S. Customs and Border Protection released new numbers that showed that Biden’s border crisis worsened during the month of April.

CBP data published Tuesday showed that immigration arrests and detentions on the U.S.-Mexico shot up to in April at 178,622, a 3% increase from March, the highest in the history of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The media tried to spin the news as a bit of a win for the Biden administration because the surge in arrests of illegal aliens was driven in large part by single adults while the number of unaccompanied minors apprehended fell.
