The U.S. Congress has taken two actions this week which indicates that they have become Muslim Brotherhood (MB) occupied territory. Not that the MB and/or its offshoots like ISIS and al-Qaeda are sitting in the Congressional chambers aiming their AK-47’s at the honorable members. No, that is not really needed—not when the members themselves or so willing to do the jihad’s bidding on their own accord.
The first piece of idiocy was the discussion about bringing Libyan General Khalifa Haftar to the States to try him as a war criminal.
Their alleged justification for exercising U.S. jurisdiction on a General on the other side of the planet is based on the belief that Haftar might somehow hold U.S. citizenship.
Why do they think General Haftar is a war criminal? Because the Muslim Brotherhood/Qatar told them so (via al-Jazeera and the Washington Post, which takes dictation from al-Jazeera on Middle East issues).
What is happening is that while General Haftar’s forces are bombing and shelling legitimate military targets, civilians are being killed. Did we not kill a few civilians during WWII? War is dirty. But it is even dirtier now in the Middle East. Here is why:
Ever notice why the Israelis are accused of war crimes every time they try to defend themselves against Hamas attacks? This is because Hamas stashes all of their weapons in schools, hospitals, etc., and fire their missiles from heavily populated areas. They’ve even been known to round up children and force them to gather around obvious targets, such as missile launching mechanisms. Then, when the Israelis strike the offending legitimate military target, the brave Hamas “fighters” film it on their cellphones as the children are being blown apart. They then upload these images to the internet. Al-jazeera blast it all over the world, then CNN, Washington Post, New York Times and the usual suspects here in the states dutifully do the rest.
The Houthis have been doing the same thing in Yemen causing world public opinion to come down on the Saudis for “war crimes.”
LIBYA
The city in Libya that general Haftar is attacking is controlled by radical Islamist militias composed of al-Qaeda, ISIS, and Ansar ash-Shari’a personnel. Does anyone seriously think that they aren’t doing the same thing that the Houthis and Hamas do in terms of making sure that there are plenty of civilian casualties for al-Jazeera to show the world?
General Haftar brought his troops up to Tripoli from eastern Libya precisely because of the terrorist militias that control the place. We should be rooting him on and even offering him help—even though our spineless European friends kid themselves into believing that the figure-head Sirraaj “government” in Tripoli is actually worth preserving.
The July 2018 issue of the “close to MI6” British magazine, Eye Spy, has also noted that “Analyst warn that he (Sirraaj) remains largely a figurehead with little control over militias” (page 13).
The same issue of the same magazine wrote that even though former dictator Qadhafi halted his nuclear program in 2003 (when he saw what the U.S. did to his buddy Saddam Hussein), he failed to eliminate his weapons grade yellow cake.
“As for Libya, the general consensus of the intelligence community is that a great many nuclear materials have not been fully recovered in Libya” (Eye Spy, p. 13).
To sum up, General Hafter is not only trying to liberate the citizens of Tripoli from the criminal grips of the terrorist gangs, he is also trying to prevent any of these militia groups from getting their hands on Qadhafi’s left over nuclear materials.
So, by our beloved and erudite members of Congress talking about shutting Haftar down over “war crimes,” they are essentially voting to let al-Qaeda and the like have at those nuclear materials, as well as the Uranium mines that the Iranians were trying to get their fingers into as early as 2015 (Eye Spy, p. 12).
TURKEY
The other bit of Shari’a compliance our honorable never-take-any-payments-from-Qatar members of Congress exhibited this week was when they invited Jamal Khashoqji’s fiancé to come and testify before the Democrat-dominated House Foreign Affairs committee.
I have reported before that the Democrats were going to try every trick in the book to use Trump’s cordial relations with Saudi Arabia and his lack of over-bearing enthusiasm for terrorism sponsor Qatar as a possible tool with which to pummel Trump, if not to bring him down, now that their long-hoped for Mueller report has fizzled out. This most recent stunt has to be seen in that light.
Khashoqji, a high school best buddies with Usama bin Laden, was ten times more dangerous. The two believed in the same goals, Shari’a for all, and exterminate the Jews. They just followed different paths with Khashoqji’s path being far more subtle, hence the greater danger.
The fact that he was working for Qatari intelligence as well as Turkish intelligence and the terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood should have been enough to warrant him the same consideration we gave to his buddy Usama bin Laden.
The Saudis, who felt threatened by Khashoqji’s ambitions for regime change, certainly thought so. So they took him out. We took out Usama bin Laden. At least the Saudis did it on what amounted to Saudi national territory (Embassies and Consulates are considered to be the actual soil of the country running the embassy or consulate).
The only people making a big deal out of the Khashoqji affair are the #1 and #3 top state sponsors of terrorism, Turkey and Qatar, terrorist group MB, al-Jazeera, and their puppets in the West (MSM).
The Congress persons wasting Congressional time and taxpayers funds for this circus should be exposed and censored.

When Democrats ask for their jobs back next year, there should be two dates on voter’s mind: February 25 and May 17. One should have been an unremarkable Monday. That all changed when 44 men and women marched to the Senate floor and justified taking the life of a newborn baby. Three months after that extreme, the House is taking its turn at gut-wrenching clarity — this time, with a bill that would wad up 231 years of freedom and throw it in the garbage along with the rest of the so-called “personal choices” liberals won’t protect. If there was ever any doubt that Democrats are out to destroy the republic, today’s vote on the Equality Act ought to have made that quite clear.
Apparently, the party of legal infanticide wasn’t radical enough. Now, Speaker Nancy Pelsoi (D-Calif.) is going for broke. She doesn’t just want to treat infants like garbage, but women, freedom, parents, science, employers, and religious organizations too. When 228 members of her party cast their “yes” votes for H.R. 5, they weren’t only saying yes to the most extreme piece of LGBT legislation in history — they were saying no to girls’ sports, parents’ authority, religious liberty, women’s rights, privacy, and the free market.
What most people don’t understand is that this campaign was never about equality. That was just a convenient stalking horse to get what the far-Left really wants: raw power. Think about it, Stella Morabito writes in a frightening column about the end-game of H.R. 5. “If you and your cronies wanted to control everybody’s lives, how exactly would you go about [it]?” Obviously, you wouldn’t come right out and say it. “You would mask your self-supremacist intentions with a benign and trendy word like ‘equality.’ You’d pretend that your project was about helping a vulnerable minority.”
In this case, that minority is a handy one. Society is already trained to tiptoe around the people who identify as LGBT. That’s why this legislation is so shrewd — it plays right into the country’s hypersensitivities about tolerance. As Stella points out, Democrats already have an infrastructure in place that shames anyone who with morals, questions, or points of concern about their agenda. Add that to the Left’s around-the-clock reward system for CEOs, organizations, and celebrities who support the con job, and suddenly, the culture is ripe for the taking. “It’s another attempt by a ruling micro-clique to exert mega-control over everyone else’s lives…”
And eight Republicans were foolish enough to take the bait. Reps. Susan Brooks (Ind.), Mario Diaz-Balart (Fla.), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Will Hurd (Texas), John Katko (N.Y.), Tom Reed (N.Y.), Elise Stefanik (N.Y.), and Greg Walden (Ore.) played right into the Democrats’ hands. And it’s not as if the warning signs aren’t there. Teachers are already being fired for using the “wrong” pronoun. Girls are already being violated in restrooms and changing rooms and bathrooms. Shop owners are already being driven out of business for their beliefs. Female athletes are already losing scholarships and competitions to biological males. Taxpayers are already bankrolling abortion. Doctors, nurses, and therapists are already handcuffed into violating their conscience. Religious charities are already closing their doors because the government wants to force them to change their standards. America is already catering to the 0.6 percent at the expense of the other 99.4. This would just give the government more painful tools to punish non-conformers.
“No one who disagrees with this bill,” Congressman Doug Collins (R-Ga.) said, “believes [anyone] ought to be treated wrongly, badly. Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) echoed his friend. “There are some fundamental principles that we ought to agree on: don’t hurt other people, respect the right of doctors to do no harm, respect the right of parents to protect their children… Unfortunately, [the bill before us today] violates these principles in the most fundamental way… And this isn’t speculation. Many states have adopted similar laws so we can see firsthand the result of them. This bill harms people in so many ways, taking away safe spaces for women, undermining women… We know this will happen because it already has.”
One after another, conservatives held the line. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) warned that H.R. 5 is “a classic example of passing something now and figuring out what it actually means later. We have been here before. If the devil is in the detail, we’re in for a lot of devilish surprises. This is a small price for some greater good [that] the bill’s proponents have argued.” She’s right, Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) made clear. “This is not equality. This is far from it.” Almost as far as the brave new Left is from the American people.

As NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox reported in March, the U.S. Supreme Court has taken up a challenge by an NRA state affiliate to a New York City gun control scheme that effectively prohibits lawfully licensed handgun owners from leaving the city with their own firearms. The plaintiffs in the case have raised a number of objections to the regime, the foremost of which is that it violates the Second Amendment. The case is New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. New York City.
Given the uniquely oppressive and bizarre nature of the challenged restrictions, many observers believe the real question in the case isn’t whether New York City will lose but on what grounds and how badly. The City itself, in fact, recently made a desperate attempt to avoid a ruling on its laws by claiming to the court that it was in the process of revising the regulations to address the issues raised in the case. The court rejected that gambit, and proceedings in the case have continued, with a number of stakeholders filing friend of the court (amicus curiae) briefs this week to help inform the justices’ deliberations.
Chief among them was none other than the Trump administration, with the Department of Justice (DOJ) filing a brief in support of the plaintiffs. The DOJ offered two possible bases for finding New York City’s regulations unconstitutional, including that the “transport ban infringes the right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second and Fourteenth Amendments.”
The government’s brief offers the most detailed account to date of how the Trump administration views the Second Amendment. Critically, it makes clear that the Second Amendment does not end at the property line of one’s own home.
“The Second Amendment guarantees both the right to ‘keep’ and the right to ‘bear’ firearms,” the brief states. “Read naturally, the right to ‘bear’ firearms includes the right to transport firearms outside the home; otherwise, the right to ‘bear’ would add nothing to the right to ‘keep.’”
The administration also seeks to establish a method for resolving future cases that is faithful to the Supreme Court’s opinion in District of Columbia v. Heller, which has been largely ignored by lower courts. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals decision being challenged in the New York City case, like many other lower court Second Amendment decisions before it, used a judicial balancing test that Heller specifically rejected to uphold the disputed gun control measures.
The government’s brief, on the other hand, urges the court to “look first to the text of the Second Amendment, the history of the right to keep and bear arms before ratification, and the tradition of gun regulation after ratification” to judge the validity of a gun control law.
Applying this test to New York City’s travel ban, it states:
Few laws in the history of our Nation, or even in contemporary times, have come close to such a sweeping prohibition on the transportation of arms. And on some of the rare occasions in the 19th and 20th centuries when state and local governments have adopted such prohibitions, state courts have struck them down. That is enough to establish that the transport ban is unconstitutional.
Also filing in support of the plaintiffs was a coalition of pro-gun states led by Louisiana and including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgie, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia. Like the DOJ’s brief, the states’ brief urges the Supreme Court to use text, history, and tradition to find that New York City’s travel ban violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendment.
Alternatively, the states’ brief argues, if the court should adopt the Second Circuit’s approach to applying a tiered level of scrutiny, it should subject the law to a rigorously applied heighted scrutiny. “New York City could not possibly meet such scrutiny here,” the brief concludes.
One hundred and twenty pro-gun members of Congress, led by Bradley Byrne (R-Ala.), urged the court to rule in favor of the plaintiffs as well. Emphasizing that “[t]he Second Amendment enshrines the fundamental right of citizens to protect themselves from violence and tyranny,” the congressional brief joined the chorus criticizing the dismissive treatment the Second Amendment has received in the lower courts.
“This case,” according to that brief, “is a quintessential example of how courts of appeals have treated the right to keep and bear arms as a second-class right by not reviewing regulations infringing on the right with any meaningful scrutiny.” It then argues that whether the court applies text, history, or tradition or a suitably stringent level of scrutiny, the challenged New York City regime must fail.
The NRA weighed in on the case with an amicus brief of our own. That brief amplifies the arguments of the government, the states, and the pro-gun members of Congress. It points out that “[i[n the decade since [Heller] was handed down, most lower federal courts have openly flouted [the Supreme Court’s] instructions” on how to resolve Second Amendment cases.
It goes on to state that “because Respondents’ transport ban restricts both the right to keep and to bear arms, and because it is unsupported by any even remotely analogous restriction historically accepted by the People as consistent with the Second Amendment, this Court should strike it down categorically, like in Heller, without resorting to the interest-balancing ‘tiers of scrutiny.’”
Tellingly, even certain well-known gun control groups – including the Giffords Law Center and the Brady Campaign – filed briefs that made no attempt to argue that New York City’s travel ban survives Second Amendment scrutiny. Rather, their briefs merely urge the court to rule narrowly in the case and in a way that preserves ample leeway for states and localities to continue to regulate firearms.
This case illustrates what the legacy media and other anti-gun interests are hoping gun owners ignore: that the election of President Trump, his appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the work of the National Rifle Association all continue to play a vital role in preserving the right to keep and bear arms.

Imagine settling your mother into a senior living facility and learning that she was murdered for her jewelry by an African man who was living here illegally.
Some families are now suing the facilities! But, first the news about what is happening in a case that could become one of the largest serial murder cases in Texas history.
By the way, at least the APstory mentions in its headline Billy Chemirmir’s immigration status while other news accounts call him a “Texas resident.”
Man in country illegally charged with 11 murders in Texas
DALLAS (AP) — A Dallas man previously arrested in the death of an 81-year-old woman has been charged with killing at least 11 more elderly women whose jewelry and other valuables he stole, authorities said Thursday.
Kim Leach, a spokeswoman for the Dallas County district attorney’s office, said 46-year-old Billy Chemirmir was indicted Tuesday on six more counts of capital murder in the deaths of women ranging in age from 76 to 94.
Chemirmir, a Kenyan citizen who was living in the U.S. illegally, also is charged in nearby Collin County with two counts of attempted capital murder for similar attacks there, according to county court records.
A Collin County grand jury also returned five capital murder indictments against Chemirmir on Tuesday.
Chemirmir has been in custody since March 2018 in the death of the 81-year-old Dallas woman, Lu Thi Harris. Police in Plano were investigating Chemirmir in connection with suspicious death and suspicious person calls at a senior apartment complex in that Dallas suburb and found evidence linking him to Harris’ death in Dallas, authorities said. Plano is in Collin County.
The break in the case came when Chemirmir forced his way into the Plano apartment of a 91-year-old woman that March, telling her to “go to bed. Don’t fight me,” according to an arrest affidavit filed in Collin County. The woman was smothered with a pillow into unconsciousness and robbed. However, paramedics revived her and she told investigators that her attacker had stolen a box containing her jewelry. Police identified Chemirmir from a license plate number and were able to find and tail him days later, when they watched him throw a jewelry box into a trash bin. They traced the box to Harris, according to the affidavit.

Police said then that investigators were reviewing about 750 unattended deaths of elderly women for possible links.

In addition to the murder charges, Chemirmir is being held on a charge of being in the country illegally.
Several news accounts say that there is no information available about how Chemirmir happened to be in the US in the first place. Did he overstay a visa? Come across our border illegally? Win thediversity visa lottery? What?

As I listened to President Trump deliver his Rose Garden comments on the dramatic shift from the current and antiquated family based to a new and modern merit based immigration plan I understood that the President’s plan rewards success. The Trump Administrations plan would:
End chain migration.
End the visa lottery.
Make immigrants learn English and take a Civics examination before being issued a visa.
Reward success (those immigrants with college degrees, those who have a job or are wanting to start a company in America).
Still provide entry to those who are actually seeking asylum.
Build the wall, but with a door open to those who wish to legally become American citizens.
President Trump is clearly thinking outside of the box Congress has placed America and American workers in. The Trump plan is pro-immigrant, pro-American and pro-growth.

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you. Please. Thank you. Thank you very much.
We’re here on this very beautiful spring day in the Rose Garden to unveil our plan to create a fair, modern, and lawful system of immigration for the United States. And it’s about time. (Applause.)
If adopted, our plan will transform America’s immigration system into the pride of our nation and the envy of the modern world. Our proposal builds upon our nation’s rich history of immigration, while strengthening the bonds of citizenship that bind us together as a national family.
Throughout our history, we have proudly welcomed newcomers to our shores. Out of many people, from many places, we have forged one people and one nation under God, and we’re very proud of it. (Applause.) We share the same home, we share the same destiny, and we pledge allegiance to the same, great American flag. (Applause.)
Our policies have turbo-charged our economy. Now, we must implement an immigration system that will allow our citizens to prosper for generations to come.
Today, we are presenting a clear contrast: Democrats are proposing open borders, lower wages, and, frankly, lawless chaos. We are proposing an immigration plan that puts the jobs, wages, and safety of American workers first. (Applause.)
Our proposal is pro-American, pro-immigrant, and pro-worker. It’s just common sense. It will help all of our people, including millions of devoted immigrants, to achieve the American Dream.
We are grateful to be joined this afternoon by a tremendous number of people from the House, the Senate, and my Cabinet. And I love you all, but I won’t introduce you all because I’ll be here all day long. (Laughter.) But you’re all here.
Our plan achieves two critical goals. First, it stops illegal immigration and fully secures the border. And, second, it establishes a new legal immigration system that protects American wages, promotes American values, and attracts the best and brightest from all around the world.
The proposal begins with the most complete and effective border security package ever assembled by our country — or any other country, for that matter. (Applause.) It’s so important.
This plan was not developed, I’m sorry to say, by politicians. We have a lot of politicians. But you respect the people and you know the people that have developed this plan. It was designed with significant input from our great law enforcement professionals to detail what they need to make our border — which is 100 percent operationally secure. One hundred percent.
Everyone agrees that the physical infrastructure on the border and the ports of entry is gravely underfunded and woefully inadequate. We scan only a small fraction of the vehicles, goods, and all of the other things coming across, including people. And, sadly, the drugs pour across our border. We’re going to stop it.
Investment in technology will ensure we can scan 100 percent of everything coming through, curbing the flow of drugs and contraband, while speeding up legal trade and commerce. It’s the most heavily traded — monetarily — border anywhere in the world, and it’s not even close.
To make certain that we are constantly making the upgrades we need, our proposal creates a permanent and self-sustaining border security trust fund. This will be financed by the fees and revenues generated at the border crossings itself.
Importantly, we’re already building the wall, and we should have close to 400 miles built by the end of next year, and probably even more than that. It’s going up very rapidly. (Applause.)
And I want to thank the Army Corps of Engineers. They’re doing a fantastic job on the wall. And that’s a wall that is desperately needed.
As we close the gaps in our physical framework, we must also close the gaps in our legal framework. Critical to ending the border crisis is removing all incentives for smuggling women and children. Current law — (applause). That’s right. That’s right. Women and children. People have no idea how bad it is unless you’re there, and unless you are a member of law enforcement. They see it every day, and they can’t believe what they see.
Current law and federal court rulings encourage criminal organizations to smuggle children across the border. The tragic result is that 65 percent of all border-crossers this year were either minors or adults traveling with minors. Our plan will change the law to stop the flood of child smuggling and to humanely reunite unaccompanied children with their families back home — and rapidly. As soon as possible. (Applause.)
We must also restore the integrity of our broken asylum system. Our nation has a proud history of affording protection to those fleeing government persecutions. Unfortunately, legitimate asylum seekers are being displaced by those lodging frivolous claims — these are frivolous claims — to gain admission into our country.
Asylum abuse also strains our public school systems, our hospitals, and local shelters, using funds that we should, and that have to, go to elderly veterans, at-risk youth, Americans in poverty, and those in genuine need of protection. We’re using the funds that should be going to them. And that shouldn’t happen. And it’s not going to happen in a very short period of time. Have to get this approved.
My plan expedites relief for legitimate asylum seekers by screening out the meritless claims. If you have a proper claim, you will quickly be admitted; if you don’t, you will promptly be returned home.
Crucially — (applause) — our plan closes loopholes in federal law to make clear that gang members and criminals are inadmissible. These are some of the worst people anywhere in the world — MS-13 and others. Inadmissible. Not coming in. We’re taking them out all the time by the thousands, a year, but they come in. They are no longer admissible. And for criminals already here, we will ensure their swift deportation. (Applause.)
We will keep our communities safe. Americans can have complete and total confidence that under this plan, the borders will finally be fully and totally secured. (Applause.)
And I know a number of our Republican friends and others — Lindsey, I see you sitting right there, and Steve, you’re working on a plan — an immediate plan. A smaller plan, but a very immediate plan to stop it as of this afternoon. So, as fast as you can get something done. This is the big, beautiful, bold plan, but we need something very quickly. And if you can get it done, that would be fantastic. Okay? Thank you. (Applause.) Appreciate you working on it.
A topic of less discussion in national media, but of vital importance to our country, is our legal immigration system itself. Our plan includes a sweeping modernization of our dysfunctional legal immigration process. It is totally dysfunctional. The system will finally be fair, transparent, and promote equality and opportunity for all.
Every year, we admit 1.1 million immigrants as permanent legal residents. These green card holders get lifetime authorization to live and work here and a five-year path to American citizenship. This is the most prized citizenship anywhere in the world, by far.
Currently, 66 percent of legal immigrants come here on the basis of random chance. They’re admitted solely because they have a relative in the United States. And it doesn’t really matter who that relative is. Another 21 percent of immigrants are issued either by random lottery, or because they are fortunate enough to be selected for humanitarian relief.
Random selection is contrary to American values and blocks out many qualified potential immigrants from around the world who have much to contribute. While countless — and you wouldn’t believe how many countries, like Canada, create a clear path for top talent. America does not.
Under the senseless rules of the current system, we’re not able to give preference to a doctor, a researcher, a student who graduated number one in his class from the finest colleges in the world — anybody. We’re not able to take care of it. We’re not able to make those incredible breakthroughs. If somebody graduates top of their class from the best college, sorry, go back to your country. We want to keep them here.
Companies are moving offices to other countries because our immigration rules prevent them from retaining highly skilled and even, if I might, totally brilliant people. We discriminate against genius. We discriminate against brilliance. We won’t anymore, once we get this passed. And we hope to get it passed as soon as possible. (Applause.)
Some of the most skilled students at our world-class universities are going back home because they have no relatives to sponsor them here in the United States. And that’s the only way. We want these exceptional students and workers to stay, and flourish, and thrive in America. (Applause.) Thank you.
As a result of our broken rules, the annual green card flow is mostly low-wage and low-skilled. Newcomers compete for jobs against the most vulnerable Americans and put pressure on our social safety net and generous welfare programs.
Only 12 percent of legal immigrants are selected based on skill or based on merit. In countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand — and others — that number is closer to 60 and even 70 and 75 percent, in some cases.
The biggest change we make is to increase the proportion of highly skilled immigration from 12 percent to 57 percent, and we’d like to even see if we can go higher. (Applause.) This will bring us in line with other countries and make us globally competitive.
At the same time, we prioritize the immediate family of new Americans — spouses and children. The loved ones you choose to build a life with, we prioritize. And we have to do that. They go right to the front of the line. Right to the front of the line, where they should be. (Applause.)
America’s last major overhaul of our legal admissions policy was 54 years ago. Think of that. So a major update — and that’s what this is: merit system and a heart system — is long overdue.
The millions of legal immigrants who have come to America over the past half century are now cherished members of our national family. Going forward — (applause) — it is their interest, and in their interest, and their children’s interest, to adopt a green card system that promotes a rising standard of living for all of our citizens.
Three in four new jobs at the end of last year went to Americans previously out of the workforce. Our economy is better probably than it ever has been in the history of our country. (Applause.) And because of that great economy, we’re able to do things that nobody ever thought possible before, and that’s what we’re going to do for immigration, finally.
Wages are rising but our current immigration system works at cross-purposes, placing downward pressure on wages for the working class, which is what we don’t want to do.
Last year, we also passed historic criminal justice reform. (Applause.) And we had tremendous backing — bipartisan — from Democrats, Republicans, conservatives, liberals. I guess we could also use the word “progressives.” A new word that’s come about.
Americans with criminal records are getting a second chance at life in higher numbers than ever before. Unfortunately, the current immigration rules allow foreign workers to substitute for Americans seeking entry-level jobs. So, foreign workers are coming in and they’re taking the jobs that would normally go to American workers.
America’s immigration system should bring in people who will expand opportunity for striving, low-income Americans, not to compete with those low-income Americans. (Applause.)
Our proposal fulfills our sacred duty to those living here today, while ensuring America remains a welcoming country to immigrants joining us tomorrow. And we want immigrants coming in. We cherish the open door that we want to create for our country, but a big proportion of those immigrants must come in through merit and skill. (Applause.)
The White House plan makes no change to the number of green cards allocated each year. But instead of admitting people through random chance, we will establish simple, universal criteria for admission to the United States. No matter where in the world you’re born, no matter who your relatives are, if you want to become an American citizen, it will be clear exactly what standard we ask you to achieve. It will be made crystal clear. (Applause.)
This will increase the diversity of immigration flows into our country. We will replace the existing green card categories with a new visa, the Build America visa — which is what we all want to hear. (Applause.)
Like Canada and so many other modern countries, we create an easy-to-navigate points-based selection system. You will get more points for being a younger worker, meaning you will contribute more to our social safety net. You will get more points for having a valuable skill, an offer of employment, an advanced education, or a plan to create jobs.
We lose people that want to start companies, and, in many cases, they’re forced to leave our country; go back, usually, to the country where they came from; and they’ll start up companies, and some of those companies are among the biggest and most successful companies today in the world. They could’ve started them right here in the United States, where they wanted to do it in the first place. Now they’ll have a chance. (Applause.)
Priority will also be given to higher-wage workers, ensuring we never undercut American labor. To protect benefits for American citizens, immigrants must be financially self-sufficient.
Finally, to promote integration, assimilation, and national unity, future immigrants will be required to learn English and to pass a civics exam prior to admission. (Applause.)
Through these steps, we will deliver an immigration system that respects, and even strengthens, our culture, our traditions, and our values.
Four months ago, I had the honor of participating in a swearing-in ceremony for new Americans, right here in the Oval Office. It was a beautiful reminder that American citizenship is the most precious gift our nation has to offer. When we swear in new citizens, we do more than give them a permit; we give them a history, a heritage, a home, and a future of limitless possibilities and potential.
Our nation used to pride ourselves on this capacity: our unique ability to instill the spirit of America into any human heart, into any human being. Many of the Democrats have claimed to be for these concepts at different times in their careers and, in many cases, in very recent history. And I hope that they will end up joining me and all of the people gathered together today in putting politics aside, putting security and wages first, and pursuing these historic reforms. It’s time. (Applause.)
And if for some reason — possibly political — we can’t get the Democrats to approve this merit-based, high-security plan, then we will get it approved immediately after the election, when we take back the House, keep the Senate, and, of course, hold the presidency. The Left is coming for you, giving a modern day context to the quote misattributed to Marxist Leon Trotsky, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.”
Ah, yes, war is always interested in you — the war the Left has unleashed on Western civilization through the civilization’s institutions.
And what exactly is the Left using the war to get of yours? Very simple: your soul. Only with the understanding of war — war for your soul, meaning spiritual warfare played out in the daily decisions of a society — does any of the current madness make sense.
Men pretending to themselves that they are women, competing in female sports and shattering records; corporations saying they will no longer accept the understanding of a so-called “binary world” where there are just two sexes; social media giants blowing up the accounts of virtually any person willing to challenge the lunacy of the Left — this is all being done to force a new world down everyone’s throats. And don’t think this isn’t coming, indeed, hasn’t already started to come to a neighborhood near you.
Take, for example, the recent defeat of the Religious Freedom Law in Texas. That law would have protected business owners with publicly stated religious opinions from adverse government action.
The proposed law, House Bill 3172, got the nickname the “Chick-fil-A Bill” because when the fast food company wanted to open some more stores in San Antonio city airports, the city council refused to grant the necessary permits because of the business owners strongly held and stated opinions about homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
The bill was killed not on its merits, but by parliamentary lobbying tactics by the state’s homosexual lobby group. There was a justified uproar about the case once it became wider known and Texas lawmakers said it was the perfect example of why the law was necessary so that governments could not penalize businesses because of their political or moral or religious views.
But that understanding of fairness only seems to apply to the Left — at least as far as the Left is concerned. Could you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth that would on the Left occur if the shoe was on the other foot?
And for the record, although you probably could already guess, the Texas Catholic Conference, the state’s bishops, had nothing to say on the matter. Yep, the Catholic conference, in what seems like it should have been a “no-brainer” was completely dumb-struck on the issue of religious freedom.
The Left is relentless and shameless. And they will not stop until they have either converted you or eradicated you — and if not you, then your children.
These are not just political policy-type considerations or prudential societal decisions, these are, at their very core, spiritual matters which determine a person’s eternal destiny.
This is why all of this, no matter the arena, no matter the matter, must be fully vetted and placed under a microscope — a spiritual microscope.
In the end, it’s all about spirituality, spiritual truth, meaning whether a soul is saved or damned. Yep, day by day, they are coming for you, and to date, your spiritual fathers have offered little by way of defense, and in frequent cases, they have sold you out, owing to their own perversions or willful neglect.
What Catholics need to come to terms with is that many of the bishops are actually supportive of the Democratic Party’s worldview.
And since that worldview is diametrically opposed to Christ, well, now you see the disaster which has befallen the Church.
We need to all see and understand and tell our loved ones that the Left wants your children, and you, out of the picture. And given the current rate of success of the Left since this plan was rolled out, it would appear around just another five years or so until they have almost completely won.
Will everyday Catholics step up and save civilization?

DALLAS (ChurchMilitant.com) – The Dallas diocese — long wracked by clerical sex abuse scandals — was raided by Dallas police officers wielding a 42-page search warrant at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police investigators conducted searches of three facilities, including a warehouse, St. Cecilia’s parish and the diocese’s headquarters. The warrant became necessary, said Dallas Special Investigations Division Major Max Geron, because of perceptions the diocese was withholding information critical to their outside investigation.
The police investigation was prompted by an affidavit from last August in which credible accusations of sexual abuse were leveled against Fr. Edmundo Paredes, the pastor at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in the Dallas diocese city of Oak Cliff.
According to the affidavit, Paredes allegedly molested at least three boys in the 1990s. Paredes is also accused of stealing from the parish. Paredes’ location has been unknown since last August, but some sources say he may have returned to his native home in the Philippines.
Thirty-one men appeared on a list of priests credibly accused of sexual molestation in the diocese since 1950 that was publicly issued by the diocese last January. However, Dallas police said they weren’t allowed to coordinate their efforts with the investigation team hired by the diocese, leading Dallas detectives to conclude that the diocese wasn’t fully cooperative.
Detectives are also seeking information related to five other priests suspected of sexually abusing minors, said Geron in a Wednesday afternoon press conference.
As reported by The Dallas Morning News:
The affidavit says Parades “groomed him by taking him and other altar servers out to eat between masses and bought them things.” But in 1994, when the victim was a juvenile, the sexual assaults begin: The victim told police “Parades touched him on his genitals and Parades placed his mouth on [his] genitals.”
Police interviewed several parishioners, officer staff members and priests, all of whom corroborated that Paredes brought “several juveniles” into the rectory during evenings and weekends. The affidavit says, too, that “some office staff members met with now-retired Chancellor Edlund, in 2006, regarding their concerns over Parades having juveniles inside the church offices and inside his residence.”

Its globalized curriculum comports to Obama’s pet Common Core Initiative Standards (CCIS). Globally, Common Core originated from the One World Education concept, a global goal orchestrated by the Connect All Schools program. Its origin is funded by the Qatar Foundation International (QFI) and supported by the United Nations Agenda 2030. This is how it works.

Let’s review.
Our American children are being indoctrinated to be self-loathing Americans by pro-Muslim, anti-American Muslim Brotherhood propaganda courtesy of Barack Obama’s “Connect All Schools” initiative. The transnational Muslim Brotherhood has the singular goal of spreading Islam worldwide and is “educating” our children with its propaganda. The Muslim Brotherhood Explanatory Memorandum makes it crystal clear that indoctrination of American students through textbooks is a primary tactic to settle the United States of America and make it Muslim.
Obama’s deceitful Race To the Top program bribed school districts to accept destructive Common Core standards in exchange for federal grants that also affected teacher certification. New York State no longer evaluates its teachers. Pearson Education does. Pearson Education took over teacher certification for New York State in 2014 with its Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) and is the sole administrator and evaluator of the assessment.
A 2012 article written by New York Hofstra University educator Alan Singer asks the question, “Pearson ‘Education’ – Who Are These People?” It is a pivotal question.
Alan Singer writes, “The question that must be addressed is whether the British publishing giant Pearson and its Pearson Education subsidy should determine who is qualified to teach and what should be taught in New York State and the United States? I don’t think so! Not only did no one elect them, but when people learn who they are, they might not want them anywhere near a school — or a government official.”
In a particularly egregious example of Pearson’s ideological bias many advanced placement students used a 2018 textbook published by Pearson titled, By the People: A History of the United States. The final section titled The Angry Election of 2016 depicts President Trump as mentally ill and his supporters as racists. A Pearson spokesperson defended the textbook insisting it had undergone “rigorous peer review to ensure academic integrity.” This is the predictable outcome of globalist ideology and globalist revisionism disguised as scholarship.
Pearson is unapologetically committed to globalism and is a signatory to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In Pearson’s own words:
“The good news is that the world has agreed on a plan to put us on a more sustainable path and ensure that no one is left behind. UN Member States have adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement to tackle climate change. We have an opportunity and a responsibility to play our part in delivering these landmark agreements. By supporting the SDGs, we will help create a better world in which our business can grow and we can more effectively achieve our mission to help people improve their lives through learning.”
In February of 2019 Pearson sold its U.S. K-12 courseware business to Nexus Capital Management LP for $250 million in its planned shift from textbooks to digital content. Pearson claims the sale is part of its ongoing work to become a simpler more efficient company. That is company-speak for their move toward higher education and digital delivery of their globalist educational curriculum. Pearson is going to college! In their own words:
“The broader US K-12 market remains an important area of focus for Pearson and we are continuing to invest in faster growing digital services such as virtual schools and building on our strong position in US student assessment. We will continue to provide Higher Education courseware for Advanced Placement programmes in K12 schools.”
The odd terms of the deal only give Pearson $25 million cash upfront but after the balance is paid Pearson retains 20% of the future cashflow from the business and is entitled to 20% of the sale price if Nexus sells. So who is Nexus Capital? What did they buy? Why the odd deal?
Nexus is a Los Angeles-based private equity firm and member of Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA). EMPEA is a consortium of globalist companies that share information in their singular objective of creating unfettered world markets for their goods and services. Sustainable is the watchword. Sustainable is the abracadabra Open Sesame key that begins with private equity firms in emerging markets and ends in one world government.
Tariq Ramadan, director of Qatari Foundation Institute’s Research center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics, is the grandson of Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood. At a 2011 fund raiser in Dallas for the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) he openly called for young Muslims to colonize America. Pearson/Nexus is the medium and Muslim supremacy is the message.
The Explanatory Memorandum should be required reading for every American parent and every American educator to fully understand the depth, breadth, and commitment of the movement to colonize America and make it Muslim. Most Americans scoff at the idea of such a seemingly outlandish objective. They have not read the Explanatory memorandum. What many Americans fail to remember is that aspirational world domination is not new or unfamiliar in contemporary life – it has just appeared in a different form.
Globalism is the modern-day ambition for world domination. It is deceitfully marketed as progress – the New World Order of global citizenship ruled by the globalist elite under the auspices of the United Nations – to help us improve our lives of course.
Americans have been lulled to sleep by the security of their unparalleled freedoms, the vastness of their country and the oceans that surround it. The Islamic menace will not conquer America by land or sea and neither will the leftist menace. The globalists will eventually conquer America through Obama’s sinister textbook initiative that indoctrinates American children and produces the self-loathing voters who will willingly choose one world government over sovereignty – no bullets required. We must wake up to stop them.
A 2015 EdTech article exposes the overarching threat that the sinister humanitarian hoax of Pearson Education poses. The article titled, “Do School Districts Need Their Own Data Centers Anymore?” explains how school districts are moving their entire educational databases online to Google Apps and Chromebook, and moving all files to Google Drive for cloud storage. They will have Pearson host PowerSchool instead of the school district hosting themselves. This means Pearson and Google will have absolute control over educational content.
In January, 2019 Pearson announced that Pearson Realize, its single digital platform, is now a Google for Education Premier Partner. This means that Pearson’s globalist propaganda package is what American children will be indoctrinated with. Political correctness, historical revisionism, moral relativity are now mainstream digital learning tools for social engineering that prepare American children for global citizenship and one world government.
The Pearson/Nexus globalist indoctrination toward one world government is either not known and recognized as an existential threat, or it is known and embraced by ideologues who support its objective. In either case it is up to the parents to decide how their children will be educated – not up to a foreign company with an anti-American globalist agenda.
The humanitarian hoax of Pearson Education must be exposed and eliminated. American textbooks and digital content must be provided by American patriots who are committed to our glorious Constitution and the extraordinary freedoms it provides. Freedom is never free. We must wake ourselves to the clear and present danger of the triple menace of the Islamist/leftist/globalist axis and their apologists who seek to destroy America from within. If we want to remain free we must be willing to oppose globalism and stand up for our national sovereignty.
Islamist leaders strive for a worldwide religious Islamic caliphate that rules an infantilized population without free will. Leftists strive for a secular world of international socialism that provides an infantilized population with cradle-to-grave care. The globalists who own, operate, and continue to expand their global control of the private sector and the Internet use the Islamists and leftists as useful idiots to create the chaos required for total globalist domination and one world government.
President Donald J. Trump is the existential enemy of the entire Islamist/leftist/globalist axis that has conspired and colluded in common cause to overthrow his patriotic America-first government. Unlike his adversaries, President Trump’s policies and objectives require adult awareness of the humanitarian hoaxes that threaten our freedom and sovereignty.

The campaign and election of President Donald Trump has proven to be the ultimate expose of the Democratic Party’s long ago shift to Marxism. For decades they’ve hidden their true globalist goals by using euphemistic terms and double speak to lull the citizenry. A prime example is the “Affordable Care Act,” which is not at all affordable for the middle class when insurance deductibles have risen into multiple thousands.
The Leftists that were hounded into hiding by the 1950’s “Red Scare” have rebounded with a vengeance and heavily impacted American society. The demise of God is their main target. Over a half-century (many believe much longer), the socialists ended up taking over the universities, media, and cultural institutions and permeated them with their “Cultural Marxist totalitarian” ways. They have become effective “anti-anti-Communists,” whose chief weapon is character assassination.
The actions and demands of the left mimic their desired communist society. The “Rule of Law” no longer applies. As in communist countries, the corrupt go free to write books and become even more famous, while the innocent either die in prison or are financially broken with ruined reputations.
Democrats Delete God
The socialism of the Democrat Party violates at least three of the Ten Commandments. It turns government into God, it legalizes thievery and it elevates covetousness. But the real core of communism is the hatred of God.
The majority party in the House of Representatives has removed God. It has deleted the Almighty from as many Congressional proceedings as possible, including the swearing in of witnesses.
When Congressman Mike Johnson (R-LA) raised a point of parliamentary inquiry as to why witnesses did not say, “so help me God” during their swearing in, Rep. Johnson asked Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN) to please have the witnesses do it again including the “so help me God.” Cohen said, “I don’t think it’s necessary and I don’t want to assert my will over other people.” Then Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) pipes up with, “If any witness objects, he should not be asked to identify himself. We do not have religious tests for office or for anything else and we should let it go at that.”
Well, excuse the daylights out of me Reps. Cohen and Nadler, but we have used this swearing in for over 200 years. As Rep. Johnson said, “It goes back to our founding history and it’s been part of our tradition for more than two centuries, and I don’t know that we should abandon it now.” Watch the two-minute video.

The official believed to be behind the forcible removal of 1,700 crosses from churches in eastern China has been promoted by the communist government, and it’s feared this move signals that the heightened Christian persecution of China’s 60 million Christians might carry on.
But the anti-Judeo-Christian culture and worship of God is not just in Communist Red China; it’s throughout Europe and America. Here is a partial list of religious removals across America. Atheists are the antagonists, but the Democratic Party has become the communist anti-God movement.
In 1962, the Warren Supreme Court removed prayer from school. Few realized how that decision monumentally influenced our society.
Compare that to the fact that kindergarten students in Communist Red China are forced to sign away their religious beliefs. The Education Bureau of the Chinese district of Lishan has launched a campaign to eradicate religious belief in kindergartens, which includes having the schoolchildren sign a commitment statement promising to avoid religious activities, an actual atheist manifesto. The commitment statement includes the declaration: “I will adhere to the correct political direction, advocate science, promote atheism, and oppose theism.” Minors are not allowed into churches, even with their parents. God is verboten in a communist society.
One need only look at the filth spewed by Palestinian Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who recently disgorged her venom against Israel, Jews and the Holocaust. Her vilification was directed against Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and America’s President Trump. It was Tlaib’s reference to a “calming feeling” in relation to the Holocaust’s aftermath that has drawn the most ire and upset. She defended her support of abolishing Israel with a one-state solution by falsely painting Palestinians as saviors of Jewish refugees. Here’s the story and reaction.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) referred to the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, as a day in which “some people did something” during her keynote address at a private fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) of Greater Los Angeles last March. Omar and Tlaib have found themselves embroiled in at least half a dozen scandals, including laughing about al Qaeda on camera, lying that Israelis “occupy” the Hamas-controlled Gaza, following a flagrantly anti-Semitic Instagram account, and hanging out with pro-Palestinian Linda Sarsour and members of CAIR which is a designated terror organization in the United Arab Emirates. With Omar’s continued anti-Semitic verbiage, prominent House Democrats negotiated with party leaders to enact some sort of measure against her remarks. Pelosi settled on watering down her critique of anti-Semitism as much as possible. The resolution listed “Jews” seventh in their condemnation of racism, right in between “other people of color” and “Muslims.”
Then there’s the homosexual pro-abortion member of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives, Brian Sims, who posted a self-incriminating video showing himself verbally assaulting an elderly Catholic woman praying the rosary in a peaceful protest outside a Planned Parenthood abortion mill in his district, calling her an “old white lady” who was doing something “disgusting.”
She was simply advocating for the lives of preborn human beings and women who are considering abortion. He also attempted doxing of teenagers for doing the same and it took the internet by storm.
Who in Pennsylvania elected this man who feels he can get in the faces of those who believe life is precious and are fighting for the unborn babies who feel the pain of their own murder every time one of them is aborted?
At least a thousand pro-life protestors gathered on the spot where state representative Brian Sims filmed himself harassing a peaceful woman praying outside the clinic to save the lives of unborn babies. Link
China’s Dying Rooms
The Dying Rooms of China are no different than the dying rooms of America where our unborn children are murdered daily by the thousands, but the reality is we’ve moved into the same Chinese infanticide where we will murder children who have been born alive after abortions, letting them die alone in closed rooms. When Obama was in the Illinois legislature, he voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA) several times. He preferred these babies died alone in back rooms after they survived murder by their mothers. The same is in China, and we’re moving into that ungodly, evil realm.
The transcript from the 1995 BBC television documentary tells the story. Those infants who were about one year old, or even younger, were tied to beds at night to die. Once, an infant’s fingers and hand were eaten by rats. You can see how those children suffered.
Producers/directors Brian Woods and Kate Blewett uncovered the systematic neglect of abandoned babies in Chinese state-run orphanages. They found “dark rooms” where the weakest and least liked children are left to die. These are known as “The Dying Rooms.” China’s one-child policy, now they’re allowing two, created a race where most families desired boys and therefore parents were forced to abandon their babies. Their unfortunate and tragic lives are left at the mercy of these orphanages where their sad fate is ultimately decided by the staff and ignored by the government. No one can watch these documentaries and tell me this ungodly evil is not coming quickly to America.
Marx and Satan
The late Reverend Richard Wurmbrand spent 14 years as a prisoner of Nicolae Ceausescu’s communist government in Romania, where he was persecuted for his faith in Jesus Christ. His wife Sabina also spent years in communist prisons. Finally released, he researched Karl Marx and the Communist doctrines he developed.
While communism portrays itself as a noble endeavor for the good of mankind, and claims an atheistic view, the Pastor exposes its true roots, revealing that Karl Marx and the fathers of the modern Communist/Socialist movements were inspired by the powers of darkness. Wurmbrand demonstrates how the “prince of darkness” gave these men the “sword” by which they have terrorized the nations. The Pastor proves that this movement is not simply the work of greedy men, hungry for wealth and power, but is “after the working of Satan” with the intent of destroying mankind.
One comment of his book said there are numerous similarities between the rhetoric of feminists, social justice warriors, communists/Marxists, atheists, “regressives,” liberals and the satanic agenda. She pegged it!
Richard Wurmbrand’s 1986 book, Marx and Satan, gives all the proof, including the infiltration of liberation theology into both Christian churches and synagogues. Those of us who worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are the targets of the “evil one.”
Wurmbrand’s Senate Testimony
In 1966, before the U.S. Senate, 89th Congress, Pastor Wurmbrand testified about the torture he and his fellow Christians received in communist Romania prisons. I would urge everyone who believes in the Almighty to read the transcript. The Pastor had been in America for only a month when he appeared before the Senate, and he could never again wear shoes because of the beatings on the bottom of his feet. He bared his back and showed the multiple scars from brutality.
He told the Senators that he could not tell the full details of what was done to believers because they would run screaming from the room. Please read the transcript. He tells that in the prison of Piteshti, the Communists would force a very religious prisoner to be “baptized” daily by putting his head into the barrel in which his fellow sufferers had fulfilled their necessities, meanwhile, obliging the other prisoners to sing the baptismal service. And priests and pastors were compelled in the Romanian prison of Piteshti to say Mass over excrement and urine. Why? Wurmbrand asks, were Christians tortured into taking Communion with these as the elements? Why such an obscene mockery of religions?
The depths of satanic depravity were evident. If, in fact, true Marxism and Communism deny both heaven and hell, why in Romanian and Soviet Union prisons were nuns who would not deny their faith, raped anally, and Baptist girls had oral sex forced on them. Using Luciferian techniques, the communists made martyrs die blaspheming because of the delirium provoked by torture.

The Colorado Sun has conducted an investigation to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1999 Columbine High School shooting, which killed 13 students. The Sun’s investigation discovered a stunning increase in the number of school district threat assessments since then. In some districts the number is ten times higher. Suicide threat assessments follow the same trend.
The public-school district in Jefferson County, one of Colorado’s most populous counties, established a threat assessment team in the 2007-08 school year when 43 cases were evaluated. Last year that number grew to 767 school-level threats, with more than 800 such threats so far this year.
A similar proliferation in suicide assessment threats has taken place over the same time in school districts across the state. Mesa County Valley School District 51, for example, has done 900 suicide threat assessments this school year, up from 210 in 2014.
Note: We notice that the rise in assessments for both threats and suicides parallels the marijuana legalization effort in Colorado. The state commercialized the drug for medical use in 2009 and for recreational use in 2012, effective January 1, 2014.
“I’m too high. Something’s wrong.” Teens caught vaping marijuana in a scary new trend.
A new trend among students has caught parents and teachers unawares—vaping marijuana. It is possible to vape pot without anyone knowing. There is no telltale odor, and vaping devices look like pens or flash drives, implements students routinely carry in their backpacks.
The problem with vaping marijuana is that THC is so much more potent and vaping it intensifies the high. One vaping cartridge confiscated by an Indiana school resource officer contained 83.6 percent THC. THC levels in the plant material that people smoke range from 15 percent to 24 percent.
The officer reports, “I’ve walked down the hallway, and you can visibly see kids who are so stoned that they don’t know where they are.”
A nurse in that school sent several students to the emergency room after they exhibited signs of being so high.
Experts say that parents, teachers, and students need to be aware of the dangers of vaping, and students should be encouraged not to vape marijuana or nicotine to protect their health.
An exposé by the Atlanta Journal Constitution reveals the power Big Marijuana wielded over elected officials to get what it wanted: HB 324, which legalized marijuana cultivation, processing, and sales in Georgia.
Most Georgians see desperately sick kids and say if marijuana can help them, let it. But most medical societies say the science is lacking, and the drug can hurt people. For six legislative sessions public health proponents have watched Big Marijuana ruthlessly deny the science in order to make Big Money.
The AJC reports that three marijuana companies hired 20 lobbyists to persuade lawmakers to pass HB 324. Surterra Wellness employed 10 and contributed more than $100,000 to Georgia political candidates last year, including Gov. Brian Kemp and Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan. Trulieve hired 5, including Michael Ralston, son of House Speaker David Ralston. Ralston appointed Surterra’s former president, Susan McWhorter Driscoll, to a marijuana study commission, enabling her to help draft HB 324.
There’s even more to the AJC story. Surterra is a $100 million company founded in Atlanta in 2014 that has done no business in Georgia. Yet.
The Senate wrote a substitute bill that made companies contributing to Georgia elected officials ineligible to apply for a marijuana license for five years. It also prohibited elected officials and their families from participating in the marijuana industry.
By the end of session, conferees could not resolve differences between the House and Senate bills. Gov. Kemp told the AJC that he, Lt. Gov. Duncan, and Speaker Ralston met with them to get the bill passed. The prohibitions forbidding political contributors from applying for a marijuana license and preventing elected officials from becoming part of Big Marijuana disappeared.
The final bill creates a 7-member commission to implement HB 324. Gov. Kemp will appoint 3 members and name the chair. The other 4 members will be appointed by Lt. Gov. Duncan and Speaker Ralston, who also will appoint two members each to a 4-member oversight committee that will award the marijuana growing and processing licenses.
We used to call this kind of pay-to-play behavior “corruption.” Today, apparently, some of our elected officials see it as the cost of doing business.
Denver decriminalizes “magic mushrooms” in historic vote
Last week The Marijuana Report summarized a USA Today story that said Denver had defeated a ballot initiative to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms. It turns out that last-minute returns put the measure over the top, although absentee and military ballots had yet to be counted in the close race. Official are expected to certify the vote later this week.
Denver became the first city in the nation to de-prioritize enforcement of a hallucinogen. Not everyone is pleased.
The Daily Signal noted that the Denver action “marked a significant shift in the debate over legalizing illegal drugs—which up to this point revolved entirely around marijuana.”
Said Kevin Sabet, president of Smart Approaches to Marijuana, “I’m not surprised to see efforts to decriminalized other drugs. Mushrooms are the next easiest argument. It’s low-hanging fruit. They’re not going to call for legalizing crack cocaine now. But they are not going to stop with mushrooms in Denver.”
In an editorial titled “The slippery slope of looser drug policy,” the Boston Herald states, “Liberal policy ideas have a way of migrating to the Bay State. This is one the state needs to be ready for, and ready to say no to. Voters have already just said no many times over, but like a weed, efforts to expand the availability to use potentially dangerous drugs keep coming back.”
Hepatotoxicity of a cannabidiol-rich cannabis extract in the mouse model
A medically technical scientific study in mice finds that CBD can cause toxic damage to the liver and may interact negatively with medications. It notes that CBD has become nearly ubiquitous across the US, yet “there is a lack of comprehensive toxicological studies devoted to CBD safety that are critical for further marketing of CBD and CBD-containing products.”
The researchers conclude their results “demonstrate that, despite the beneficial effects of CBD [Epidiolex] in the treatment of certain therapy-resistant seizures, it poses a risk for liver injury. Furthermore, the probability of CBD-drug interactions appears quite high. Therefore, additional studies are needed to examine the toxicity of chronic low-dose CBD exposure as well as explore CBD’s potential to interact with other medications. Such studies will provide important information regarding the range of CBD doses that can be deemed safe for the purpose of regulatory decision-making.”

Pot smuggling arrests at LAX have surged 166% since marijuana legalization
Last year, LAX had 503 reports of marijuana discovered in luggage compared to 400 reports in 2017 and 282 reports in 2016. The same phenomenon is occurring at other major California airports.
“We find it in about 50-pound quantities … the carry-on rate for luggage. I would imagine we’re only intercepting some of it, not all of it,” says Sgt. Ray Kelly of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over Oakland International Airport.

Add the trade war with China to a long list of crises driven by greed and globalism that President Trump inherited from a series of prior administrations, from both political parties
Since President Trump declared that, unlike previous U.S. Presidents, he would no longer permit China to ride roughshod over the United States, Wall Street whined about how a trade war with China would be costly to America and Americans by causing products from China to cost more; and likely diminish American exports to China as China retaliated by increasing tariffs on those U.S. goods.
For Wall Street, the bottom line is the bottom line. This is a very short-sighted and dangerous example of myopia, focusing on profits while ignoring threats to U.S. national security.
First and foremost, China is ruled by a totalitarian communist regime that is guilty of reprehensible human rights violations against its own citizens and is clearly working rapidly to expand its reach around the world by building its military capabilities.
Earlier this year I wrote about Chinese Aggression Against The U.S.A. As President Trump has noted, China has not only taken economic advantage against the United States but has engaged in widespread intellectual property theft (also known as industrial espionage). Indeed, China has also engaged in committing widespread espionage where our military technology is concerned and, incomprehensibly, the United States has admitted hundreds of thousands of Chinese STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) students and provided them with world-class education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Such students then become eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training that enables them to be gainfully employed by U.S. companies, including companies that develop technology of our military.
This provides access to U.S. companies that then become the targets of Chinese espionage.
China is also notorious for hacking computers in the United States that belong to our government, our military, corporations and even U.S. citizens.
On May 9, 2019 the U.S. Department of Justice issued a press release that announced, Member of Sophisticated China-Based Hacking Group Indicted for Series of Computer Intrusions, Including 2015 Data Breach of Health Insurer Anthem Inc. Affecting Over 78 Million People.
Here are several excerpts from the press release:
A federal grand jury returned an indictment unsealed today in Indianapolis, Indiana, charging a Chinese national as part of an extremely sophisticated hacking group operating in China and targeting large businesses in the United States, including a computer intrusion and data breach of Indianapolis-based health insurer Anthem Inc. (Anthem).
The four-count indictment alleges that Fujie Wang (王 福 杰 in Chinese Hanzi), 32, and other members of the hacking group, including another individual charged as John Doe, conducted a campaign of intrusions into U.S.-based computer systems. The indictment alleges that the defendants gained entry to the computer systems of Anthem and three other U.S. businesses.
“The allegations in the indictment unsealed today outline the activities of a brazen China-based computer hacking group that committed one of the worst data breaches in history,” said Assistant Attorney General Benczkowski. “These defendants allegedly attacked U.S. businesses operating in four distinct industry sectors, and violated the privacy of over 78 million people by stealing their PII.
The indictment further alleges that the defendants then collected files and other information from the compromised computers and then stole this data. As part of the computer intrusion and data breach of Anthem, the defendants identified and ultimately stole data concerning approximately 78.8 million persons from Anthem’s computer network, including names, health identification numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, employment information and income data, according to the indictment.
On April 9, 2019 CNN reported,Woman accused of illegal entry to Mar-a-Lago had numerous electronic devices, thousands in cash.
What was all but ignored by a series of reports about this woman, a citizen of China, Yujing Zhang, is how she was able to enter the United States with a visa but may have lied on her application for the visa in order to enter the United States; and then seek to gain entry to President Trump’s resort in Florida by deception to potentially carry out espionage.
And then, there is the huge issue of China flooding the United States with fentanyl.
On April 28, 2019 CBS News’ 60 minutes reported,Deadly fentanyl bought online from China being shipped through the mail.
In addition to Chinese fentanyl being smuggled into the United States across the borders of the United States Chinese companies now ship fentanyl to the United States, relying in the U.S. Postal Service to deliver this deadly illegal drug and others, such as Carfentanyl to addresses in the United States. In reality, it has become a chemical weapon of mass destruction.
For this report, one of the people interviewed by CBS Correspondent Scott Pelley was the United States Attorney for Cleveland, Ohio, Justin Herdman.
Here is an excerpt from the interview:
Justin Herdman: Carfentanyl is another 100 times more potent than fentanyl. Here you’ve got 300 grams of powder that could deliver a fatal dose to 150,000 people. Here you’ve got only five grams of powder which could deliver a fatal dose to over 250,000 people.
Scott Pelley: So if you touch this stuff, it could kill you?
Justin Herdman: Yeah.
Scott Pelley: Just touch it–
Justin Herdman: There’s a reason we have a medic standing by, Scott, and that’s because– an overdose is– unfortunately it’s something that we have to be prepared for, even–even dealing with it in an evidence bag.
Herdman showed us pills that look like prescription opioids but are dangerous counterfeits.
Pelley then asked the obvious question:
Scott Pelley: Where did all this stuff come from?
Justin Herdman: It’s from China. It’s manufactured in China. These are all related to cases that involve the mail or the use of the postal system. So this, somebody put this into a box, sealed it up and sent it through the postal system.
The United States Postal System has been, for many years, the most reliable way to smuggle drugs from China to the U.S.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Cronin, the prosecutor whose case against a Chinese smuggler served as the predication for the 60 Minutes report was also interviewed.
Here is the segment of his interview that underscores China’s complicity in the poisoning of America:
Matt Cronin: It is a fact that the People’s Republic of China is the source for the vast majority of synthetic opioids that are flooding the streets of the United States and western democracies. It is a fact that these synthetic opioids are responsible for the overwhelming increase in overdose deaths in the United States. And it is a fact that if the People’s Republic of China wanted to shut down the synthetic opioid industry they could do so in a day.
Last year my article Google vs. Border Security was predicated on a CNN report about how Google opposes President Trump’s efforts to secure our borders and has refused to help the U.S. military but is happy to work with the Chinese government to launch a search app in China that would block sensitive websites and search terms to comply with Chinese government censorship.
Decisions by corporate and government leaders must be based on two fundamental concerns: survival and morality!

President Donald Trump hopes to unite Republicans behind new immigration goals that focus on border security and a merit-based system that keeps legal immigration at current levels.
The president is set to deliver a Rose Garden address on the plan at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Trump wants more people coming to the country to fill new jobs in the expanding economy, and is concerned that Democrat lawmakers routinely stick together, especially in the Senate.
Senior administration officials contend Trump’s plan will make legal immigration more fair and is in the national interest. They contend that it will bring in, and keep, the best and the brightest legal immigrants.
The number brought in because of family already here—so-called chain migration—is expected to decline under the plan.
Senior administration officials noted Wednesday that Democrats already have come to the table with their non-negotiables, while Republicans still have several points of disagreement.
The president aims to find points that almost all Republican lawmakers can agree on.
The officials estimated that the merit-based changes would shift the immigration population from 13% employment-based to almost 60% employment-based.
Three categories would focus on “extraordinary talent” visas and vocation visas, and on keeping “extraordinary students” from abroad after they graduate from U.S. colleges.
The visas would be issued on a point-based system, more in line with Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and other countries, officials said.
While moving immigration policy toward a meritocracy, the plan still would prioritize spouses and children to achieve family reunification. But, senior administration officials said, the plan would not give an immigrant an unfair advantage to enter the United States simply because he or she has a relative already here.
Because the immigration-neutral, merit-based plan is aimed at uniting the president’s party, it doesn’t include language about the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or about a guest worker program.
Republicans have been divided on both issues.
The White House hopes to push Democrat opponents of the plan either to negotiate or argue for the status quo.
The border security portion of the plan includes a border wall and closing loopholes to end the policy known as catch and release.
Trump is frustrated with the current system, which releases hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossers pending a hearing because of a shortage of federal immigration judges.
With the recent conservative victories related to tax cuts, the Supreme Court, and other major issues, it is easy to become complacent.
However, the liberal Left is not backing down. They are rallying supporters to advance their agenda, moving this nation further from the vision of our founding fathers.
If we are to continue to bring this nation back to our founding principles of limited government and fiscal conservatism, we need to come together as a group of likeminded conservatives.

The short answer is simple, No. Let us not forget that in the beginning of our Republic, only land owners could vote in elections. The premise here was that only RESPONSIBLE people should vote as they would do what was best for the country overall. This was expanded over the years to all citizens, including former slaves, women, and younger people (when the voting age was lowered to 18 in 1972). Nonetheless, it was assumed these people would vote RESPONSIBLY, but this hasn’t proven to be the case as we have a relatively poor turnout during elections, and many of those who vote are misinformed about history, current events, and how our government works.
Then along comes radical socialists like presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders who, in a recent CNN Town Hall meeting, insists convicted prisoners and terrorists, like the Boston Marathon bomber, should have the right to vote from prison. He said, “Yes, even for terrible people, because once you start chipping away and you say, ‘Well, that guy committed a terrible crime, not going to let him vote. Well, that person did that. Not going to let that person vote,’ you’re running down a slippery slope.”
The fact people are incarcerated means they are a danger to society and, as such, forfeits their rights, such as freedom, owning a gun, and, Yes, voting. Consider this, will the imprisoned terrorist or prisoner vote as RESPONSIBLY as the hard working person who pays taxes, obeys the law, and supports his/her family, not to mention their community? Come on, honestly, who would vote with the best interests of the community and country in mind? It’s a no-brainer.
Let’s be clear about something, if a person has served his/her time and is released free and clear (no probation or supervision), then I personally see no problem returning to society and allowed to vote.
Are the Democrats so desperate for votes, they would give convicts and terrorists the same voting privileges as everyone else? Unfortunately, Yes. In fact, their ultimate voting scenario would be to allow illegal immigrants to vote, prisoners to vote, and 16 year olds to vote. What’s next, voters who have died but somehow manage to mysteriously cast votes? Oh, yea, that’s already been done. Sorry. All of this is designed to rig elections, not to do what is fair and RESPONSIBLE for the country.
From my perspective, we already have too many IRRESPONSIBLE voters, people who couldn’t pass a simple civics test if their life depended on it. I am still convinced people should pass such a test to be allowed to vote. (It wouldn’t hurt if they were land owners as well.)
So, should incarcerated terrorists and convicted prisoners be allowed to vote? Of course not. We all know it is a silly question. Only someone wanting to undermine our country would insist on it.
