9 Truths From Aaron Rodgers’ Explosive Vaxx Interview You Aren’t Allowed To Say

‘For the media out there taking shots at me, you don’t know my story. Now you do. So quit lying about me.’

By: Kylee Zempel,  The Federalist, November 7, 2021:

You don’t have to like Aaron Rodgers to pump your fist when he drops COVID truth bombs on a hit sports talk show.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who is currently under fire from the COVID scolds for being “secretly” unvaccinated and contracting the virus, joined “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss his situation. And let’s just say he didn’t hold back. Here are the top nine most based things Rodgers said.

1. ‘You’re Selfish’ Smear Is Media Propaganda

The idea that “unvaccinated people are the most dangerous people in society,” is the media’s “propaganda narrative,” Rodgers said.

“That is what the media has been trying to do, they’re trying to shame and out and cancel all of us non-vaccinated people, call us selfish,” he continued. “I mean that’s the propaganda line too now: You’re selfish for making a decision that’s in the best interest of your body.”

2. Personal Health Should Be Private

“Personal health decisions, in my opinion, should be private,” Rodgers said after going after the media for “taking shots” at him. “And they should haven’t to be … over-scrutinized by, you know, people who are only pushing their own propaganda.”

The media went berserk this week after the quarterback tested positive, writing long screeds and ranting on air about how Rodgers had “lied” about his vaccination status back in August by saying he had been “immunized.”

“For the media out there taking shots at me, you don’t know my story. Now you do. So quit lying about me,” Rodgers said.

3. ‘Pandemic of the Unvaccinated’ Is a Lie

Rodgers took a straight shot at President Joe Biden and all who carry water for his narrative by obliterating the talking point that COVID-19 is now a “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” something the federal government continues to double down on with its sweeping vaccine mandate.

“This idea that it’s a pandemic of the unvaccinated, it’s a just a total lie,” Rodgers said before refuting the falsehood. “If the vaccine is so great, then how come people are still getting COVID and spreading COVID and unfortunately dying from COVID? If the vaccine is so safe, then how come the manufactures of the vaccine have full immunity [from lawsuits]?”

There’s a lot we still don’t know about the shot, he continued, saying that it’s “wrong and reckless” to market it as a cure-all.

4. The Left Politicized the Vaxx

“The problem with this is it is so political, and health shouldn’t be political,” Rodgers warned.

“We all should have been a little hesitant. When Trump in 2020 was championing these vaccines that were coming so quick, what did the left say? … Don’t trust the vaccine. Don’t get the vaccine,” he continued. “What happened? Biden wins and everything flips. Shouldn’t that give you a little bit of pause? … Isn’t this about health, not politics?”

If this is really about health instead of politics, Rodgers probed, why haven’t any of the health experts been talking about diet, exercise, or vitamins?

5. The Vaxxed Are Still Infectious

Rodgers said that because he is unvaccinated, he is required to undergo COVID testing every day, while all the vaccinated players do not have to, despite their ability still to contract and transmit the virus.

“I tested over 300 times before finally testing positive. Like I said, it was probably from a vaccinated individual,” Rodgers said. “I don’t think that many of the policies are rooted in the science.”

“The only time I haven’t worn my mask is when I’m around all vaccinated people,” he added.

6. ‘Health Is Not a One-Size-Fits-All’

“Health is not a one-size-fits-all for everybody,” Rodgers announced, adding that he was allergic to an ingredient in the mRNA vaccines. Enough said.

7. COVID Recovery Offers Robust Immunity

“I’m going to have the best immunity possible now,” Rodgers said, citing the study from Israel on the robust immunity acquired from COVID infection and recovery.

The facts support this. Epidemiologist and biostatistician Martin Kulldorff, who was a professor at Harvard Medical School for a decade, recently published an analysis breaking down the methodology of different studies on natural immunity. He demonstrated how the Israeli study, the one Rodgers cited, is superior in its methodology and precision of its findings than the prevailing study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“There’s a lot to natural immunity, and natural immunity has not been a part of the conversation,” Rodgers added.

8. Science Is Better Than Shaming

“Some of the rules to me are not based in science at all,” Rodgers said of the many rules he had already illustrated that were not based in science. “They’re based purely in trying to out and shame people, like needing to wear a mask at a podium when every person in the room is vaccinated and wearing a mask makes no sense to me.”

“Bodily autonomy is a right, and the shaming and the outing that, you know, people seem to get off on so much of finding these people who, you know, ‘Oh my God, can you believe these crackpots who are not vaccinated?’ Everybody has their own story … and their own reasons for doing things. But this shaming cancel society is wrong.”

9. Overall Health Is Important Too

“It’s a virus of health, and the most important thing would be educating people on how to live a healthier life,” Rodgers said regarding the pandemic that was exacerbated mightily by comorbidities and especially obesity.

Early data showed that obesity tripled a person’s risk of hospitalization, and 78 percent of those hospitalized with the Wuhan virus were overweight or obese.

Bill reintroduced to designate Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization

This is timely, as Biden’s handlers appear to be once again aiding the Brotherhood, as Obama did during his first two terms as well.

Republican Senators Reintroduce Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act

Asharq Al-Awsat, November 6, 2021:

A draft bill presented by several US Republican Senators to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization sparked controversy, as many officials warn of its repercussions on Washington’s relations with several friendly and allied countries.

US Senators Ted Cruz, Jim Inhofe, and Ron Johnson led a move that reintroduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act.

The bill urges the Department of State to use its statutory authority to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

Cruz said that it’s time that “we join our allies in the Arab world in formally recognizing the Muslim Brotherhood for what they truly are—a terrorist organization.”

“I’m proud to reintroduce this bill to urge the Biden administration to designate them as such and advance our nation’s fight against terrorism.”

The Senator stressed that “we have a duty to hold the Muslim Brotherhood accountable for their role in financing and promoting terrorism across the Middle East.”

Earlier, Cruz criticized the Biden administration and Democratic senators from the House Committee on Appropriations for withholding $130 million worth of military aid to Egypt until Cairo released some Muslim Brotherhood political prisoners.

He also “blasted” President Biden’s nominee for Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs, Barbara Leaf, slamming the Senate Democrats for trying to release “Muslim Brotherhood propagandist” who is “anti-semite and hate preacher.”

US and Egypt will launch the strategic dialogue on Monday with the two delegations led by Foreign Ministers Anthony Blinken and Sameh Shoukry in Washington.

However, Republican and Democratic lawmakers objected to such bills, saying that classifying the group as terrorists may not be helpful because it is no longer a unified organization.

They warn that such classification might harm the US relations with many friendly and allied countries, led by Turkey. They also note that some Muslim Brotherhood affiliates who are not classified as extremists are members of Arab governments and parliaments….

A courageous feminist defends the rights of reality against the trans mob

In the very first line of her introduction, written with admirable clarity and courage, as is the entire book, Kathleen Stock outlines her program:

“This book is about sex, and about the mysterious thing known as ‘gender’. It is about how, in the first quarter of the twenty-first century … a philosophical theory about something called ‘gender identity’ gripped public consciousness, strongly influencing UK and international institutions….”

Stock is an analytic philosopher based at the University of Sussex, with a keen interest in language and fiction. Her philosophical competence is beyond question: it emerges in every line of this book. It is this acute consciousness of the usage of language, and of how the way in which we use language brings us either closer to truth and reality, or else causes us to become increasingly entangled in a dream world of our own making, which makes the analysis in this book so very penetrating.

There are eight thoroughly-researched chapters. One caveat is that it does not include an index, which in a work of this kind would be most useful. Stock’s research into important biological, medical, legal, historical and social matters has been very thorough. Some of this is very difficult material to read, precisely because of the delicacy of the matters involved: we are talking about people at their most vulnerable here.

Chapter One gives a brief history of the concept of gender identity, emphasising that this is an extreme claim that biological sex is irrelevant and does not exist. In any case, only trans people would have a right to comment.

We are faced with a straight fight between gender identity and sex – which brings us to Chapters Two and Three, “What is Sex?” and “Why Does Sex Matter?” The author deals first with the physical dimension of the subject, demonstrating that biological sex is not merely a philosophical construct. It seems extraordinary that this has to be demonstrated, but this is where we are …

In Chapter Three, she examines the reasons why sex is relevant and cannot be dismissed. She gives a thorough account of same-sex attraction from her own lesbian point of view here. It would be interesting to compare her account with Paul Vitz’s account of similar matters in his most recent book, an essay written by an expert psychologist from a Catholic perspective.

But Stock’s central point stands in any case: biological sex exists, it is important in the life of any individual, whatever their eventual decision about it for a variety of physical, medical and psychological reasons.

She is at pains to emphasise that she sympathises completely with individual trans people. Her target is not individuals, but the activism that uses them to deny reality and alter legislation in ways that are positively harmful to very vulnerable people. Women prisoners, for example, have to endure incarceration with convicted rapists who identify as female. Why did we decide to have women’s prisons to begin with? Female criminals may not be the most sympathetic group of people, but they are extremely vulnerable.

“What is Gender Identity?” and What Makes a Woman?” give extensive philosophical and linguistic analysis of the terms and concepts involved in gender identity theory and sexual identity. “Gender identity” was first coined to fit a particular concept in the 1960s by John Money and Robert Stoller. It is described as follows:

“… trans people are defined, not as people who have had surgery, or taken hormones, or who dress and behave in particular ways, but as people whose gender identities are misaligned with the sex ‘assigned’ to them at birth. Cis people are those whose gender identities align with birth assigned sex. And either way … gender identity is what make you man, woman, or neither.”

Most of us are aware that the term “gender” has replaced the term “sex” in many institutional contexts but trans ideologues apply in all contexts, including the biological.

Traditionally, “sex” has a distinct biological significance, while “gender” is used when biological sex is not at issue – mostly the assignation of gender to words for inanimate objects in several languages, an assignation which is purely arbitrary. The shift in usage from “sex” to “gender” in the human context implies that human beings are similar and that “male” and “female” are assignations just as arbitrary as grammatical gender.

The author is writing as a feminist, so her emphasis is on women, but a similar analysis could be done on the concept of “man”.

She concludes Chapter Five by stating, as gently as she can, that trans women are not women in the same sense as biological females are women; these are fundamentally different biological and conceptual realities. She adds that she understands that this statement will come as a shock to readers who have been taught that there is no meaningful difference. She is at pains to emphasise that this does not imply criticism of individuals, but is simply the establishment of a distinction, which must be maintained legally for the well-being of all concerned.

Chapter Six, “Immersed in a Fiction”, is a very interesting exploration of the conceptual underpinnings of the UK 2004 Gender Recognition Act (GRA) and Gender Recognition Certificates. Stock argues that this legislation constitutes an extended legal fiction. Her account of the passage of this legislation makes for grimly entertaining reading.

She notes that many people are now making statements about trans women being women and so on. They act as if these things are true, i.e., they are immersed in a fiction –but they don’t literally think so.

She also explores the toxic internet culture and remarks that the rising frequency of claims of gender dysphoria in the young correlate with the rising immersion in virtual worlds. She does not condemn immersion outright, but she remarks that there are risks, particularly at the institutional level “once powerful figures become immersed in a fiction, and seek to compel the same attitude in others”.

Chapter Seven, “How Did We get Here”, revisits some of the territory explored by Helen Joyce in her recent book Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality. Stock recapitulates the tactics of activists over the past several decades: appeals for compassion; comparisons of “victims” to a previous group of victims whose claims are now recognised to be just; manipulation of facts and statistics; and violent suppression of disagreement.

She also notes that the femininity adopted by trans activists is facilitated by the representation of women in the media, which is increasingly focussed on external appearance, hair, make-up, clothes, an attitude of submissiveness … If these things make a woman, anyone who adopts them can claim to be a woman. She notes the particularly damaging effect of pornography.

Finally in Chapter Eight, Stock outlines what we need: more honesty; a wider range of perspectives; and reliance on empirical data rather than speculative theory. Here she notes the extraordinary career of Judith Butler “who – with relatively few empirical observations in the entirety of her work on gender – has nonetheless managed to convince large number of people that biological sex does not exist.”

She lists important questions. How many trans children are there? What are the long-term outcomes for children who receive puberty blockers? How many detransitioners are there?

Detransitioners, often children who were encouraged by adults to transition early, are pariahs in contemporary gender studies. Nobody wants to admit they exist, and, like women who have had abortions, their suffering does not count.

Stock remarks that that she is not afraid of a fight. She certainly got one. A ferocious campaign was organised to get her fired from her job at the University of Sussex. A counter petition was organised by some of the most distinguished names in philosophy. The Oxford Thomist Joseph Shaw wryly remarked that he had never imagined he would see that day when he would sign a petition with Peter Singer of Princeton.

Unfortunately, the controversy has taken a toll on her personal life. At the end of October she announced that she had quit. “This has been an absolutely horrible time for me and my family. I’m putting it behind me now. On to brighter things soon, I hope.”

This is an important book, and I hope that it reaches a wide audience.

Meet China’s low-profile, discreet, but powerful spiritual director

Life is full of surprises and a big one came at us just the other day – from a Chinese guy.

Not just any Chinese guy, but an ardent Chinese nationalist who is First Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of China. Now wait a minute — how can a Chinese nationalist be atop a Chinese communist party? Well, in today’s topsy-turvy world, China, with the ruling Communist party, has a robustly capitalist economy on an unabashedly China-first mission. That is nationalism on steroids. From an economic perspective, it is winning the day. Long gone is the crippling Communist Manifesto claptrap about abolition of private property that defined the old Communist bloc.

But back to the Chinese guy. Who is he? Wang Huning. Never heard of him? You have now. Thanks to a brilliant analytical essay by N.S. Lyons, “The Triumph and Terror of Wang Huning,” we can learn much from Dr Wang’s insight.

Born in 1955, at university he proved himself an intellectual heavyweight. He was writing books in academia until recruited by the government, where he rocketed through the ranks to hold various government positions, including Director of the Central Guidance Commission on Building Spiritual Civilization. Yes, there is such a commission.

Wang is one of the most influential people in China, though very much behind the scenes. The ideas man behind the “China Dream,” the Belt and Road Initiative and anti-corruption campaigns, he is also credited with “Xi Jinping Thought,” which is now the impetus for a campaign to increase Chinese fertility.

Wang is not just pro-China. He is pro-Chinese. He doesn’t want his people to wither away. He’s a fan of Confucian Civic Virtue, which stresses conscientious citizenship, a major part of which is marriage and family. As Confucius actually did say: “It is most unfilial to have no offspring.” Wang is behind the current surge of interest in Confucius, which serves the dual purposes of highlighting Chinese heritage while providing a homegrown philosophical alternative to Western-style commercialism.

There is no doubt that Wang cares very much for his people. But he is also an astute observer of others. In 1988 he was a visiting scholar in the United States. While traversing the erstwhile land of the free and home of the brave, he visited 20 universities and was alarmed by what he observed.

He was so distressed by America’s nascent nihilism that he wrote a book about it, America Against America, published in 1991. He realized that the moral and cultural relativism prevalent in American universities was leading to a wholesale abandonment of traditional Western-centric ideals in favor of PC post-modernism.

Wang believed that such a pernicious process was bringing on a collapse of moral values in America, where “There is no value system in society that can be used as a value system to guide individual decisions, and university education does not provide such a system.”

Now step back for a minute and consider: In 1988 a young scholar from China, a poor country at the time, finds himself in a strange (and quite wealthy) land for a few months and figures out in short order that the US higher-education industry is essentially a fraud, severely undermining the social fabric of American society. Wow. Many Americans, even those not indoctrinated by Marxist professors, never figure that out.

Wang also saw the fallacy of believing that all can be fixed if almighty government throws money at it. The American political class has long believed that with enough money we can stop crime, make everyone equal (equal opportunity is passé), and get everyone “educated.” It doesn’t work. So the remedy is to throw even more money at it. Recall Albert Einstein’s words: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Mr Wang:

In the face of intricate social and cultural problems, Americans tend to think of them as scientific and technological problems. Or is it a matter of money (which is a result of the spirit of commercialism) rather than a matter of people or subjectivity.

A matter of people. Hmm… the good Wang Huning may be on to something!

And something else he observed about America (translation):

The average family must let their children become independent early and cannot afford to provide for them, so they are unable to love [provide]. In turn, children love their parents, but parents cannot depend on their children for their old age, and children cannot afford it, so children cannot love [provide] either. This relationship has far-reaching consequences for society. Parents have to rely on the social security or welfare system in their old age, but not on their children.

Aristotle said more than 2,000 years ago that the family is the cell of society. In the years since the war, the cell, the family, has disintegrated in the United States.

Spot on! Mr Wang doesn’t want to see family breakdown transition China to a woke, thoroughly materialistic, nihilist society – as he views America.

Many young Chinese have an outlook on life that is troublesome to Wang. He believes that the get-rich-quick mentality, all-or-nothing careerism and obsessive consumerism have done great social harm and that Western commercialism and its attendant popular culture are responsible. Look no further than China’s 2020 fertility rate, one of the world’s lowest at 1.3 (by official estimate), 38 percent below the 2.1 replacement level.

He knows that nagging Chinese youth to get married and have children is useless. From the N.S. Lyons essay:

Ending family size limits and government attempts to persuade families to have more children have been met with incredulity and ridicule by Chinese young people as being “totally out of touch” with economic and social reality. “Do they not yet know that most young people are exhausted just supporting themselves?” asked one typically viral post on social media. It’s true that, given China’s cut-throat education system, raising even one child costs a huge sum: estimates range between US$30,000 (about seven times the annual salary of the average citizen) and $115,000, depending on location.

But even those Chinese youth who could afford to have kids have found they enjoy a new lifestyle: the coveted DINK (“Double Income, No Kids”) life, in which well-educated young couples (married or not) spend all that extra cash on themselves.

In 2013 there were 23.86 million marriages in China. There were 13.99 million in 2019. In 2019, 14.65 million births were registered. There were 10.03 million in 2020, a 15 percent decline.

China’s working-age population has decreased by well over three million each year for the last decade. Last year there were 4.9 Chinese workers supporting each senior citizen. Given current fertility, by 2050 there will be 1.6 workers to do so. China’s population is projected to shrink by almost 50 percent by 2100. China’s day in the sun may not last long.

So Wang Huning has a daunting challenge ahead. He is behind the unfolding campaign to change the culture – promoting Confucianism, the three-child policy, the masculinization campaign, capping rent increases, limiting access to video games, tightening abortion restriction, and curtailing online exposure of “alternative” lifestyles.

China’s pro-natalist campaign is just getting started. There is much more to come. With any luck, getting married and having children will become the “in” thing for young Chinese. It will be interesting to see where all this leads.

Where is America’s Wang Huning?

How Minimum Wage and Rent Control Laws Fail the ‘Bronowski Test’

Public policies often mistakenly treat people that are unlike in crucial ways as if they are alike.

In The Common Sense of Science, the Polish-British mathematician Jacob Bronowski wrote that, “at the basis of human thought lies the judgment of what is like and what is unlike.”

Unfortunately, public policies often mistakenly treat people that are unlike in crucial ways as if they are alike, or those who are alike in crucial ways as if they were unlike.

Housing policy illustrates this point well. In discussions of rent control, attention focuses on how it will treat tenants, but fails to make the critical distinction between present tenants and future tenants, who will be very differently affected. It would provide a massive windfall for current tenants at the expense of landlords, forcing or keeping rents far below market value, with tenancy protections guaranteeing the windfall into the future.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti called it “like winning the lottery.” But it would harm the far larger group of people who seek rental housing after rent control is imposed. The slowed growth or shrinkage in the quantity and quality of the housing stock over time that results will increasingly lead to “no vacancy” signs rather than available or affordable units.

Inclusionary housing policies, such as San Jose’s 2010 law mandating that housing developers of over 19 units sell 15 percent of their units far below their market value, fail to distinguish lucky beneficiaries from unlucky home seekers. Those units were presented as proof that politicians were “doing something” to increase housing availability. However, the mandate increased the costs of non-subsidized new housing, reducing the number of new non-subsidized units constructed. And the large decrease in non-subsidized housing construction swamped the much smaller effect on mandated construction, reducing the future supply of homes, raising home prices for everyone except those who “win” a subsidized home.

Rental housing subsidies similarly violate the Bronowski test. Funding is never sufficient to aid all those eligible for subsidies. Those who do receive aid benefit. But the subsidies also increase the market demand in that sector of the rental market, which increases the market rents all others must pay. Again, looking only at the lucky disguises harm to the unlucky from the same group.

The minimum wage also fails the Bronowski test. Supporters assert “the poor” will gain. However, in labor economist Mark Wilson’s words, “evidence from a large number of academic studies suggests that minimum wage increases don’t reduce poverty levels.” And even if “the poor” in aggregate would gain income, that does not mean “the poor” gain. Those who keep jobs under the same conditions will gain. But many lose. Some lose jobs. Others lose hours of work. For many who keep their jobs and hours, on-the-job training and fringe benefits will fall, or required effort will rise to offset hiked wages. And higher current wages are often less valuable than what is given up, particularly on-the-job training, which enables people to learn and earn their way out of poverty over time. Further, those with fewer skills, less education and less job experience face greater employment losses. But treating low-income workers as if they form a single group leads toward ignoring the fact that lucky low-income workers gain, while many others lose, some to the point of being unemployable.

There are other examples as well. For example, subsidies that go to one group—e.g., the elderly, young, poor, etc.—but not others, fail the Bronowski test. In addition to the taxes that must be paid to provide the subsidies, those subsidized increase the market demand for the goods in question, which means that all those in the same market, but who do not get subsidized, must pay higher market prices than they otherwise would. And like the previous examples, you virtually never hear a mention of it in public policy discussions.

Public policies all-too-frequently fail to adequately distinguish like from unlike. Such failures to meet the Bronowski test often severely compromise both policy understanding and real world results.

That is why if we are to follow the basis of science, we need to make it a pass-fail test. Otherwise we will continue to harm large numbers of those we are supposedly trying to help.

No, You Don’t Need to be “Qualified” to Homeschool Your Children

If you can do these three simple things, you’re already qualified to be a homeschooling parent.

Over the years, I’ve heard so many parents dismiss the possibility of homeschooling their children because they don’t feel “qualified.”

“I’m not a teacher.”

“I’m not good at math.”

“I wasn’t good at X in school, so I could never teach my child that subject.”

All these assumptions stem from a fallacy about what education is, and what makes an individual “qualified” to be a teacher.

The fallacy: that your ability to teach relies on your expertise on the topic you’re teaching. While that may be true for selling your teaching as a service—you wouldn’t make a living teaching a class in a topic you don’t understand—it’s not a prerequisite for effectively facilitating your child’s learning.

Whether or not you hold a teaching certificate is an irrelevant accessory to your ability to teach. To be an effective educator, all you need to be able to do is:

  • Use reference resources (like books and Google)
  • Find the answers to your own questions
  • Foster a sense of curiosity in your children

If you can do those things, you’re qualified to be a homeschooling parent.

In most cases, basic Googling skills and the ability to explore with your child is all you need to teach your children at home.

Take this as an example: your child is sitting outside in the sun drinking a cold drink, and asks you why the outside of their cup is getting wet.

Your reaction is simultaneously intimidation (I have no idea) and interest (there might be a science lesson buried in this).

You say, “I don’t know. Let’s figure it out.”

Five minutes and some Googling later, your child has learned about condensation, the dew point, and the effects of a hot entity meeting a cold one.

Your child has the answer. They have the same outcome they would have received had they asked an expert; they now know why condensation forms on their cold glass. The only difference is that they got to see your process along the way—which is an asset, not a deficit, because they’ve learned something about finding answers to their questions, a process they will be required to repeat over and over throughout their lives.

As a parent, your ability to use your Googling skills to teach applies to entire subjects, not just one-off questions. The most common subjects I hear parents express intimidation of are math and science; subjects they often found challenging in school, and don’t feel qualified to teach to their children.

With abundant free resources on the internet (such as YouTube and Khan Academy), as long as you know how to find an answer to a question—which every adult who can Google does—you can facilitate your child’s learning on any topic, whether by finding the answers yourself or by finding resources that can do the teaching for you.

The ability to find answers to questions has always been important, but it’s especially so in the information age. As Einstein said,

“Never memorize what you can look up in books.”

The answer to almost any question that has been answered by man is available at your fingertips. The key to a useful education—one that sets a child up for a lifetime of success—is not memorizing facts, but rather learning how to ask the right questions—and then learning how to find the answers.

Einstein again: “The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts, but the training of the mind to think.”

This is true not only of college, but of education in general. If your child knows how to think, how to formulate their curiosities into questions, and how to answer those questions, they will be able to learn anything they need to, at any point in time, for their entire lives.

That skill transcends the value of a standardized education—because it’s a skill that can be used to learn anything covered in a standardized education, and anything else your child will ever want to learn.

Time and again, I’ve watched homeschool children quickly catch up to and surpass their peers on a given subject or skillset, because they understand how to adapt and learn.

When you’re working with your children to find answers to their questions, you’re implicitly helping them build this skill, and equipping them for a lifetime of learning.

Children are naturally wired to learn. The next generation’s proclivity to learn is a critical part of our survival as a species, and it’s hardwired accordingly.

Every time a child mimics an adult, play-acts the real world (like “playing store”), or asks a question, you’re watching this natural wiring in action.

This natural proclivity to learn works to your advantage as a homeschooling parent. All you have to do is nurture it. And homeschooling allows you to do that far more effectively than regular school does.

My first foray into teaching (right after I graduated high school) was instructing writing classes. I worked with both homeschool and public school students, and the difference between the two was startling.

The homeschool students were curious, excited, and fun to work with. I was teaching them how to write fiction, and they didn’t require much prompting. I gave them a challenge each week, and that was all the encouragement they needed. I had students practically tripping over themselves each week to show me what they’d written when they were at home in between classes.

Their joy in learning was alive. All I had to do was direct their natural curiosity and let them run with it.

Working with public school students was an entirely different story. I was working with the full grade range—1st grade all the way into high school—and I saw in stark relief their natural curiosity slowly dying.

The 1st-3rd graders were hungry to learn. The 4th-6th graders required some prodding, but after some explanation and encouragement could start to have fun. But by the time the students hit middle school, their interest in learning was gone. Nothing I tried could make them excited. They were there because they had to be, and they were watching the clock waiting until they could go. Learning had become a compulsory requirement, not an endeavor stemming from desire.

School doesn’t foster curiosity; it kills it. With its rules, its rigid structure, its obsession with right and wrong answers, and its punishments for deviating off course, it doesn’t leave any room for curiosity.

With all that unnatural structure absent, a child’s natural curiosity remains intact. And when a child is left to their own devices and allowed to lean into their curiosity, a parent’s biggest job is helping to direct it.

Despite common belief, all of this applies to homeschooling your high schooler, too

I’ve heard countless homeschooling parents say, “I could never teach my child through high school.”

Even when someone is convinced of their ability to educate their child through elementary and middle school, high school is considered to be a different beast.

The subject matter is more challenging, the standard requirements more complex, and the level of expertise necessary to answer questions is significantly higher.

In spite of that, you don’t need any extra qualifications to homeschool your high schooler. If anything, the resources available to you are even more expansive than they are for elementary-aged students.

With your child at a comprehension level to use resources like The Great Courses and Khan Academy (both of which were staples of my own homeschooling experience), they’re able to engage with entire courses covering the subject matter they’re expected to learn—putting less of a burden on you, not more.

And as your high schooler becomes more self-directed, they’re able to take on more and more of the impetus of answering their own questions. As long as you’re able to support them in finding the answers they’re looking for, you’re more than qualified to educate your child through high school—and often, high school is the most fun part of the homeschool experience (it certainly was for me).

Being Part of an Ever-changing Experiment

“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”  –
Plato

I have had my suspicions for a long time now that the Big Pharma vax pushers were conducting an exploratory experiment on mankind.

This hypothesis holds there is no single ‘experimental’ vaccine formula, but a never-ending changing witches brew of concoctions, controlled by lot number. This goes way beyond what the emergency use authorization envisioned and makes it an open laboratory experiment of the first order.

That’s why we are seeing such an extreme spectrum of adverse effects from the same provider. The good news for some who have already been vaxed in the guinea pig laboratory is that they are the lucky ones who got the least of the witch’s brew. Big Pharma will not report out what’s in the serum because it’s an ever-changing experiment.

News is now beginning to surface that tends to give weight to the above hypothesis. Listen to Stew Peters and Dr. Jane Ruby reporting on this developing story, below.

Unfortunately, there is more disturbing news as reported out in the second video, below. It is is short hearing testimony by Theresa Long, a military medical doctor, who you no doubt remember as the Lt.Col. military doctor who put together a lenghy affidavit tryingto convince the military to stop injecting the troops.

Watch the expersion of the guy sitting to her right as she describes what she has seen in treating military pilots after they were jabbed. She is no longer permitted to treat these sick pilots.

You have to ask yourself, what in the hell is going on with national security and this Country when the military is party to this maiming and genocide?

This Sunday, Pray for the 340 Million Global Christians in Harm’s Way

On the first Sunday of November, the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) is observed every year by innumerable Christian denominations. Across the world, tens of thousands of believers in over 100,000 congregations will heed that special call to prayer for individuals, families, and churches in locations where Christians are struggling with abuse and danger — sometimes to the point of martyrdom.

This Sunday, November 7, marks that important annual event. But why does it matter?

America’s Christian communities face worries of their own, including political issues regarding public school education, questions regarding life-style choices that are incompatible with biblical values, concerns about COVID-related demands, and matters of life and death for the unborn.

But a quick scan across international horizons reveals incomparably dire straits: Christians are facing immediate, desperate, and even deadly circumstances. Open Doors’ 2021 World Watch List report revealed that 340 million Christians — one in eight globally — face high levels of persecution and discrimination because of their faith. There was also a 60 percent increase in the number of Christians killed for their faith in the past year.

Clearly, it’s appropriate that we should pause on Sunday to pray for those who face real suffering for their belief in Jesus. So let’s start by thinking about the worst persecutor of Christians in the world: North Korea.

North Koreans are required to “worship” the Marxist-Maoist Kim family in a peculiar, quasi-religious system called Juche. North Korean Christians — estimated at some 400,000 people — face particularly horrendous persecution. Torture. Starvation. Rape. Slave Labor. Public Execution. All this for simply possessing a Bible or otherwise practicing Christianity.

China is another serious persecutor. It cooperates with North Korea by sending fleeing Christians back across their common border, likely to face torture and death. Both countries’ governments consider any acknowledgment of God’s higher authority as a political threat. Thus, God cannot be openly worshipped in either country.

Under the present Xi Jinping regime, China is increasingly abusive to Christians. Meanwhile, millions of Uyghur Muslims are currently locked up in brutal concentration camps, tortured, and used as slave laborers. Babies are forcibly aborted, women are sterilized, and healthy Uyghurs are killed for organ harvesting.

Meanwhile, new converts to Christianity keep a low profile in numerous Muslim countries where their conversion away from Islam is grounds for execution. Iran proves to be a deadly example.

Iranian Christians — particularly converts from Islam — are identified as “enemies” of Iran’s Shiite mullahcracy and threats to national security. Arrests and behind-the-scenes violence against Christians are rampant. And yet, an underground house church movement is growing miraculously, even while being severely repressed. These new Christians are afforded zero rights, yet their courage is astonishing.

At the same time, African Christian believers are at high risk across that vast and increasingly dangerous continent. Open Doors’ 2021 Watch List notes that more than nine out of 10 of the 2021 global total of 4,761 murdered Christians were in Africa.

And Nigeria is the worst offender — at least for now. Voice of America reports that 50,000 believers have been murdered in Nigeria since 2018. Along with massacres, kidnapping and rape are rampant.

In 2019, 14-year-old Leah Sharibu was kidnapped along with more than 100 female students. All the abducted Muslim girls were released, but Leah refused to deny her Christian faith. She remains captive today and has reportedly given birth to two babies, fathered by her captors. She so needs our prayers.

Apart from in Nigeria, ISIS and other Sunni terror groups are terrorizing innumerable African Christians. Attacks and killings continue to rise. Right now in Libya, 17 Coptic Christians are missing. In the meantime, the violence never stops in Uganda, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Mozambique, and more.

And then there’s Afghanistan.

When Open Doors first listed Afghanistan as the world’s second-worst persecutor of Christians, it seemed farfetched. Who knew that there were any Christians there at all?

However, due to America’s sudden and stunning retreat from the country, leaving behind untold numbers of U.S. citizens and green card holders, we’ve also recently learned that as many as 10,000-12,000 Afghan Christians have been worshipping within a very secretive underground church movement for years. And, again, virtually all are converts from Islam.

Frantic rescue efforts in Afghanistan continue, and only God knows how many Christians, U.S. citizens, and allies will be left behind. Rescue flights are diminishing, while the Taliban’s inevitable bloodletting seems to have only just begun.

In fact, examples of Christian suffering and death can be found all around the world. And as we pray, let’s remember believers living in the midst of Open Doors’ top ten abusers: North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Pakistan, Eritrea, Yemen, Iran, Nigeria, and India.

But let’s also bear in mind that Open Doors’ list includes 50 oppressive nations — not just 10.

So what can we do? Besides remembering, praying, and even fasting for the world’s persecuted believers, let’s…

  • Inform American Christians about the brutality and bloodshed abroad and prompt them to give thanks for their own safety.
  • Remind them to engage in remembrance and prayer on IDOP with our vast global Christian family.
  • Inspire them to empathize instead of turning away.
  • Encourage them to pray.
  • Advise them to contact U.S. legislators about potential actions, sanctions, or other interventions.

And let’s remind ourselves, as we live in mostly safe-and-sound American Christian communities, to “Remember…those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (Hebrews 13:3).

COP 26: Socialists & Scoundrels Emerge From Hiding

If there’s one thing that unites the UN conference in Glasgow, it is that everyone wants a piece of you.

Apparently what is troubling the Earth is that you are too free and live too well.  Plans to curtail your freedom and redistribute what you’ve worked for into more deserving pockets abound.  That none of this will meaningfully alter the temperature of the Earth doesn’t enter into it.

Everywhere CFACT goes in Glasgow we encounter utter shamelessness.

A UN climate conference is a place where a mega-movie star like Leonardo DiCaprio jets in to sit with an old-guard Socialist like UN Secretary General António Guterres to discuss new ways to bring you to heel.

A UN climate conference is a place where Al Gore pushes his “Green” investment company’s plans to grow rich from taxpayer subsidies, all the time donning an unearned mantle of virtue.  The WSJ once wrote that Gore has amassed a vast fortune without ever conferring value upon a customer.

A UN climate conference is also a place where Socialists feel free to emerge from the shadows to boldly attack free-market Capitalism, as if their failed ideology were not responsible for suffering throughout the 20th century on a never-before-imagined industrial scale.

Pete Murphy has served as an intrepid CFACT correspondent here in Glasgow and posted a roundup of much of what he saw in the UN “Green Zone” in Glasgow.  The Green Zone is the place where activists and NGOs let their hair down and showcase their propaganda.  Check out this collection of wacky posters Pete photographed.  They’d be funny if those behind them were not so dangerously, deadly in earnest.

There has been a major push at COP 26 to accelerate the war on coal, however, China has sidestepped all that, and continues to commission new coal plants at the rate of one a week.  That wind and solar are not up to the job of replacing electricity from coal somehow escapes most of those at the COP.  Nuclear remains the most efficient way to safely generate clean, emissions-free (if that’s your thing) electricity.  An alliance of blinkered Greens and vested energy interests refuses to budge from its way.

CFACT’s Marc Morano has been covering Swedish climate scold Greta Thunberg’s conclusion that COP 26 is a useless exercise in “blah, blah, blah” with glee.

However, consider the yet darker side of “blah, blah, blah.”  What Greta and the red brigades in Glasgow truly mean is that they do not value deliberative, democratic processes, individual choice, or national sovereignty.  They demand immediate destruction of the free-market economic prosperity and individual rights that have nurtured them from infancy — and replace them with what?

The Green-Left seldom reveals just what they would do with power should they get it.  For a hint we have to look at the pain they’ve wrought when they had the chance.  Look at great cities like Portland and Seattle in flames and disorder, or a jewel of a country like Venezuela plunged into starvation and despair if you are seeking present-day lessons in why not to put the Woke in charge.

Then there’s the entire sad history of Socialist destruction throughout the 20th century.

Pity Greta didn’t stay in school and learn about that.

Energy Secretary: Americans Should Expect To Pay More For Gas, Heat

Cop26: It’s socialism or extinction

EDITORS NOTE: This CFACT column is republished with permission. ©All rights reserved.

Kamala Joined By Yet Another Laughing Hyena! Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm!

Joe Biden, you know him, the mentally challenged usurper residing illegally in the People’s House, now officially has two laughing, giggling hyenas in his administration! ( Don’t mean to insult hyenas! ).

You all met Kamala Harris with her brainless laugh when asked about the outrageous border problem.

Now we have Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm who laughed out loud like an ignorant ignoramus when asked about increasing America’s oil output. She called the question “hilarious.” Hilarious? That Americans are all paying the massive financial penalty for this administrations energy agenda. Everything from groceries to building materials, gas and oil for home heating. Everything has and is rising extremely quickly. Hyper inflation is now a real possibility.

Bloomberg host Tom Keene made mention of America’s rapidly rising gas prices and asked the energy secretary, “What is the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?” Great question and it needed a real answer. Not that anyone in this administration is capable of giving a real answer let alone a truthful one. As it is said. If their mouths are moving they are lying!!

After she heard the question this was Granholms response. She immediately began laughing. “That is hilarious, would that I had the magic wand on this.”

HUH??? Magic wand?? She has absolutely no idea on the oil market. None. She is just another ignoramus being overpaid and sucking on the teat of the tax payer – that’s you and me.

She went on further with some more equally out of touch and realty statements as follows:- “As you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC, and they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning.”

American oil output is not a part of any cartel. We were a net exporter under President Trump. That meant we supplied or were able to supply 100% of America’s oil needs PLUS produce a surplus for export. Gas at the pumps was below $2.00 a gallon. 10 months under Biden and gas ranges from $3.30 to $7.40 a gallon depending on your location and heading further north!!

You see this illegal dictatorial leadership in DC has overhauled a very efficient oil energy industry. The latest move in June being the suspension of oil drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He has paused new oil leases. He has rejoined the Paris climate agreement. Eliminated subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. Revoked permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline. Plus at huge taxpayer cost is replacing the federal government fleet with electric cars! (all charged with electric made from fossil fuel!)

He has gone to OPEC on his frail little knees begging the OPEC Cartel to increase oil production. Twice they have said no!! They are keeping the supply tight and therefore prices will continue their increases. We now buy over 35% of our fuel from our enemies, Russia included, enriching them and allowing them to increase massive spending on their military as Biden works on dismantling ours.

America has more than sufficient domestic supply and reserves to increase output which would reduce gasoline prices. We have enough untapped oil reserves to supply this countries needs for centuries without any further exploration and location of oil reserves.

Encouraging our enemies to produce our oil needs is also contrary to this administration’s green energy plans. Oil production in these OPEC countries and Russia are certainly not produced anywhere near as cleanly or green as our oil companies do.

China, Russia and OPEC win. America loses. Seems that pretty much sums up this New Socialist Democrat Party agenda up.

This Libtard nutcase has a long history of liberalism which I have regularly made the case of being a mental illness. Incurable usually. (Well – legally anyways!)

She was a two term leftist governor of the socialist state of Michigan. She was also the attorney general there. She then joined joined the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley as a Distinguished Professor of Practice in the Goldman School of Public Policy. A liberal think tank. Secretary Granholm, an immigrant from Canada, is an honors graduate of both the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard Law School. Great pedigree for a liberal Democrat and a true enemy of the state.

Biden Sends 70 Secret Flights of Illegal Migrants from Southern Border to Florida

“America is not, nor has it ever been, the world’s full-service homeless shelter.” ― Michelle Malkin, Open Borders Inc.: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?

Our existing immigration laws must be enforced and not continue being ignored by the Obama 3/Biden Administration.

Demand the lawlessness be stopped.

These dumps of illegals into Florida must be stopped NOW!  Send them all back to their home country or better yet to Washington, D.C.!

The Washington Examiners’ Anna Giaritelli reported:

More than 70 flights transporting migrants from the southern border to Jacksonville have landed in the dark of night in recent months as the Biden administration struggles to empty overflowing border facilities, the office of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said.

It is the first time the state of Florida has disclosed the number of confirmed flights arriving in the state since the summer. The governor’s office has scrambled in recent weeks to uncover who is facilitating the mystery flights landing in northern Florida daily, but the Biden administration has refused to disclose any information, one official said.

“Over 70 air charter flights [on] jetliner airliners coming from the southwest border have landed at Jacksonville International Airport,” said Larry Keefe, DeSantis’s public safety czar. “On average, there’s 36 passengers on each of these flights. And that has been going on over the course of the summer through September.”

[ … ]

The Florida flights have come under special scrutiny by the state after an incident involving a 24-year-old Honduran man who was arrested on suspicion of murder .

Why We Endorse Herschel Walker for the U.S. Senate

I can get so high off my belief and my will that it’s almost like you are invincible. I’m so high off God that I don’t care what you do, you can never destroy me.” – Herschel Walker

“Herschel is tough on crime and borders, and he will always stand in support of law enforcement, military, and our vets. He will fight hard for our Second Amendment and voter integrity. Herschel will never let you down.” – President Donald J. Trump

Herschel Walker is a man of character. We only endorse men and women of character.

Herschel is perfect because:

  1. He’s not, nor has he ever been, a politician.
  2. He’s a Godly man.
  3. His history is one of supporting the good in mankind.
  4. He has led by example both on the football field and in the public arena.
  5. He’s the Democrats worst nightmare, a black man who has left their plantation.
  6. He will help drain the swamp.
  7. He judges people by the content of their characters not the color of their skin.

Perhaps we should remember when Herschel endorsed Donald J. Trump for president. Herschel focused on the false accusation what Trump is a racist. Watch:

Listen to Herschel Walker and Walter Peyton talk about what it takes to win:

Achievement.org published the following about Herschel Walker:

Herschel Walker was born in Augusta, Georgia and grew up outside of Wrightsville, Georgia. For the first 11 years of his life, Herschel Walker showed little interest in sports; he preferred reading books and writing poetry. At age 12, however, he began a crash exercise program. Over the next year, he did 100,000 push-ups, 100,000 sit-ups and sprinted thousands of miles.

In high school, Walker played football and basketball and competed in track and field. He scored a record-breaking 86 touchdowns as a running back and led his teams to state championships in both football and track while maintaining an A average.

Herschel Walker participated in the 1980 Academy of Achievement program as the valedictorian of his class and the most sought-after high school football player in the nation.

As a freshman at the University of Georgia, Herschel Walker ran for 1,616 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns, and setting an NCAA freshman rushing record.  He led the Bulldogs to victory in 12 out of 12 games, including the national collegiate championship.  Walker  earned consensus All-American honors three consecutive years, set 10 NCAA records, 15 Southeastern Conference records, 30 Georgia all-time records, and capped a sensational college career by earning the coveted Heisman Trophy in his junior year.

In 1983, Walker gave up his final year of collegiate eligibility and turned professional, joining the New Jersey Generals of the short-lived United States Football League. Walker dominated the league, earning Most Valuable Player honors and setting the single-season pro football rushing record (2,411 yards). After his first pro season, he finished his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice at the University of Georgia.

Walker joined the Dallas Cowboys in 1986, where he led the entire NFL in rushing and earned All-Pro honors. Walker moved to the Minnesota Vikings as starting running back in 1989. In 1992, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles football team but returned to the Dallas Cowboys in 1996. He retired from the NFL in 1997.

Walker was one of the top running backs in the pros, gaining more yards than anyone in professional football history, counting his seasons in both the NFL and USFL. He finished his professional career with a total of 8,225 yards and 61 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 512 passes for 4,859 yards and 21 scores.

Herschel Walker has worked with numerous charitable and educational organizations. In 1981, he became the first Academy of Achievement honor student to return to the annual program as a recipient of the Golden Plate Award. In 2002, he was voted into the College Football Hall of Fame and was selected as the second greatest player in college football history, just behind the legendary Red Grange.

In a 2008 memoir, Breaking Free, Herschel Walker revealed that he had suffered for many years from dissociative identity disorder, a mental illness previously known as multiple personality disorder. Some of Walker’s alternative personalities, which came to the fore after he retired from professional football, expressed a turbulent, angry side of his nature he had previously suppressed. On occasion, he threatened his wife and others with physical violence, but later had no recollection of these events.

As related in his memoir, he eventually recognized the nature of his problem, which may have been rooted in his childhood experience of bullying and ostracism, and sought professional treatment. With psychotherapy, the disorder can be treated, and Walker decided to make his affliction public, to advance understanding of the disorder and encourage others so afflicted to find the help they need.

The passage of time has not dimmed the glory of Herschel Walker’s exploits on the football field.  When college football celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019, sports journalists compiled lists of the greatest players in each position in the history of the game, and Herschel Walker was invariably named as a top running back. The broadcast networks CBS Sports and ESPN each named Herschel Walker to its All-Time All-American Team, a definitive assembly of the greatest players in the history of the college game.

Now that’s the story of a man of character. This is why I endorse Herschel Walker as the candidate from Georgia for the U.S. Senate.

Republicans Make Florida history, Pass Democrats in Voter Registration

YUGE! The residents of Florida see the chaos in Democrat run states and want none of it. The peerless Governor DeSantis will be re-elected in a landslide in next years gubernatorial election. Then it could be on to 2024 for the governor.

Watch Democrat-fascists dump millions of illegals in Florida.

Republicans make Florida history, pass Democrats in voter registration

By Tampa Bay Times, November 5, 2021

Florida Republicans have officially reached a milestone they’ve been trending toward for nearly a decade — outnumbering registered Florida Democrats for the first time in state history.

Gov. Ron DeSantis touted the achievement for Republicans at the National Conference of State Legislatures Friday morning.

“Today for the first time in the history of Florida we’ve now overtaken Democrats,” DeSantis said to applause, then joking that Republicans would have won the New Jersey governor’s race if all the Republicans hadn’t moved to Florida.

Voter registration information from Florida’s Division of Elections only reflects numbers through August of this year. But state parties often have more recent data than what’s provided to the public, combing through it weekly from each county.

DeSantis has financially backed the party’s voter registration effort, donating $2 million, according to Politico.

In 2008, assisted by the campaign of former President Barack Obama and his popularity, Florida Democrats had an advantage of nearly 700,000 voters over registered Republicans.

But every year since 2012, the gap between registered Democrats and Republicans has narrowed. As of this September, Democrats only had about 24,000 more voters registered.

The Republican Party of Florida’s executive director, Helen Aguirre Ferré, said on Friday that the governor’s policies have pushed people to the party. She also said previously that Democrat’s messaging has driven voters to Republicans, especially Hispanic and Latino voters as of late who have concerns about socialism.

“The level of enthusiasm in support of registering Republicans is unprecedented, and this is a true milestone moment in Florida’s history,” Ferré said.

Ferré also said in September that despite the growing edge Republicans have, they wouldn’t be kicking up their feet. With the number of new residents coming into Florida daily, the party will continue to drive their message and push registration.

Voter registration was one of the few political advantages state Democrats had, but Florida Democratic Party Chair Manny Diaz previously said that he’s still optimistic.

Diaz ran on the idea that state Democrats needed better infrastructure and acknowledged they have failed to engage with voters year-round before. Instead, Diaz said he wants to nurture a voter registration effort within the party instead of relying on outside campaigns or nonprofit groups.

Third-party voter registration groups, like the League of Women Voters, face greater hurdles after DeSantis signed an elections bill that obligates the groups to tell a registrant their form may not be returned on time. They also must tell a registrant how to register to vote online.

Despite signing that bill into law just six months ago, DeSantis earlier in the week said he wanted another package of election reforms, including the creation of a state office to investigate election fraud.

STATEMENT FROM FLOIDA GOP VICE CHAIRMAN

Earlier today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida has officially flipped from a blue to red state (in terms of voter registration) for the first time in our state’s history! This is HUGE NEWS as it is just another indicator of the reality that the most important swing state in the country continues to move further and further away from the Democrats (and their radical agenda)!

Thank you to Governor DeSantis for not just investing in our voter registration efforts, but for aggressively fighting for our state and our freedoms. He is our greatest relocation and voter registration recruitment agent.

Thank you to FloridaGOP Joe Gruters for his commitment to training and empowering the grassroots. He is a great Chairman and I appreciate his friendship and commitment to our party.

Lastly – it’s time to recognize those who have done the hard work to get us here – A BIG THANK YOU goes to our FloridaGOP County Leaders, Staff & Volunteers who have spent countless (and more often than not, thankless) hours away from family and business to help move this ball down the field and into the end zone today. We could NOT have gotten this done without your passion, commitment and execution. Phones are a pain and Doors in the heat can be hard work, but it’s important work that must be done and it is how we win elections!

FBI Raids Project Veritas Over Ashley Biden’s Diary

Welcome to fascist America. The FBI is one step behind the Gestapo now.

Freedom of the press is now a federal offense – if it’s not state sanctioned press.

On Friday, it was revealed that the FBI had raided two locations associated with Project Veritas in connection to the diary of the President Biden’s daughter Ashley, which went missing shortly before the 2020 election. Project Veritas reported that they had the diary, could not authenticate it, and turned it over to law enforcement. Despite this, they are being investigated for having had it at all.

FBI Raids Project Veritas Over Ashley Biden’s Diary

By Cristina Laila, The Gateway, November 5, 2021:

The FBI conducted a raid of two New York addresses of people connected to Project Veritas as part of an investigation on how Ashley Biden’s diary was made public shortly before the 2020 election.

“The F.B.I. carried out search warrants in New York as part of a Justice Department investigation into how pages from Ashley Biden’s journal came to be published by a right wing website,” New York Times reported.

In October 2020, Ashley Biden contacted the feds and reported several items were stolen in a burglary, including her diary.

Project Veritas never published pages of Ashley Biden’s diary, however, another conservative site did.

“The FBI took materials of current, and former, Veritas journalists despite the fact that our legal team previously contacted the Department of Justice and voluntarily conveyed unassailable facts that demonstrate Project Veritas’ lack of involvement in criminal activity and/or criminal intent,” O’Keefe said.

“Like any reporter, we regularly deal with the receipt of source information and take steps to verify its authenticity, legality, and newsworthiness. Our efforts were the stuff of responsible, ethical, journalism and we are in no doubt that Project Veritas acted properly at each and every step,” he added.

STATEMENT BY JAMES O’KEEFE ON THE RAID ON A PROJECT VERITAS JOURNALISTS

I awoke to the news that apartments and homes of Project Veritas journalists, or former journalists, had been raided by FBI agents. It appears the Southern District of New York now has journalists in their sights for the supposed “crime” of doing their jobs lawfully and honestly. Or at least, this journalist.

I had to think long and hard before making this statement. It’s a decision that only I can make. They don’t want me to defend myself and immediately tried to silence me. That’s why the cover letter for the Grand Jury Subpoena we received contains this language:

“The Government hereby requests that you voluntarily refrain from disclosing the existence of the subpoena to any third party. While you are under no obligation to comply with our request, we are requesting you not to make any disclosure in order to preserve the confidentiality of the investigation and because disclosure of the existence of this investigation might interfere with and impede the investigation.”

But while the Department of Justice requested us to not disclose the existence of the subpoena, something very unusual happened. Within an hour of one of our reporters’ homes being secretly raided by the FBI, The New York Times, who we are currently suing for defamation, contacted the Project Veritas reporter for comment. We do not know how The New York Times was aware of the execution of a search warrant at our reporter’s home, or the subject matter of the search warrant, as a Grand Jury investigation is secret.

The FBI took materials of current, and former, Veritas journalists despite the fact that our legal team previously contacted the Department of Justice and voluntarily conveyed unassailable facts that demonstrate Project Veritas’ lack of involvement in criminal activity and/or criminal intent. Like any reporter, we regularly deal with the receipt of source information and take steps to verify its authenticity, legality, and newsworthiness. Our efforts were the stuff of responsible, ethical, journalism and we are in no doubt that Project Veritas acted properly at each and every step.

However, it appears journalism itself may now be on trial.

Late last year, we were approached by tipsters claiming they had a copy of Ashley Biden’s diary. We had never met or heard of the tipsters. The tipsters indicated that the diary had been abandoned in a room in which Ms. Biden stayed at the time, and in which the tipsters stayed in temporarily after Ms. Biden departed the room. The tipsters indicated that the diary included explosive allegations against then-candidate, Joe Biden. The tipsters indicated that they were negotiating with a different media outlet for the payment of monies for the diary. The tipsters were represented by attorneys who handled the negotiations with Project Veritas.

We investigated the claims provided to us, as journalists do. We took steps to corroborate the authenticity of the diary. At the end of the day, we made the ethical decision that because, in part, we could not determine if the diary was real, if the diary in fact belonged to Ashley Biden, or if the contents of the diary occurred, we could not publish the diary and any part thereof. We attempted to return the diary to an attorney representing Ms. Biden, but that attorney refused to authenticate it. Project Veritas gave the diary to law enforcement to ensure it could be returned to its rightful owner. We never published it.

Now, Ms. Biden’s Father’s Department of Justice, specifically the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, appears to be investigating the situation, claiming the diary was stolen. We don’t know if it was, but it begs the question: in what world is the alleged theft of a diary investigated by the President’s FBI and his Department of Justice? A diary! This federal investigation smacks of politics. Project Veritas never threatened or engaged in any illegal conduct.

Should the Southern District of New York try to take away our First Amendment rights to uncover and publish newsworthy stories without government intimidation, be assured, Project Veritas will not back down.

Nothing stops at Project Veritas.

Let me be clear. Our mission is to serve the public’s right to know by illuminating, revealing and exposing information others wish to hide for the wrong reasons. To quote Lord Acton, we believe everything kept secret degenerates. We don’t mislead or conceal. We investigate facts and potential newsworthy information. Sometimes, as was the case here, after we investigate, we decide to not publish a news story. Project Veritas will run from nothing, and we will hide from nothing. We exist for the very purpose of discovering and revealing the truth, in hope to make the world a more transparent place.

Now, this is not the first time we have been attacked and it will not be the last. We know why.  We’ve investigated powerful people, and, in many ways, we are the tip of the spear, but we never break the law. Our rule is to act as if there are 12 jurors on our shoulders all the time. The truth will vindicate us.

When the FBI and the Southern District of New York seize reporter’s notebooks, it is not just an attack on Project Veritas. It is an attack on every American and our sacred right to free speech and a free press. The First Amendment is first for a reason: it guarantees all the other rights that follow, because it’s about accountability. Without accountability, freedom itself is an illusion.

So, the great question is: Is this an indicator in the direction that America is going?

We’ve gone far beyond the point of partisan politics in this country. They ask us to focus on our divisions. They don’t ask us to focus on the things which unite us. What unites us is so much more powerful than what divides us.

The First Amendment doesn’t just matter to people on one side.  It matters to people on all sides.

That is why I’m calling on all Americans, and especially all journalists, to stand with us for the right to free speech, the free press, and to send a message that the politics of fear will not prevail in the United States of America.

In Veritas,

James O’Keefe
