Rasmussen Reports, one of only about three reputable pollsters out there, found that His Fraudulency Joe Biden’s first ever job approval rating as president is a pathetic 48 percent. Get this…

President Trump’s exit approval rating was 51 percent.

HAHAHAHAHA!!

It gets even better…When President Trump took office in 2017, his first job approval rating in this same poll was 56 percent, which is eight points higher than His Fraudulency’s 48 percent.Hell, even Barry Obama entered office with a 67 percent approval rating back in ’09.The more you look at these numbers, the worse they are for Biden.When President Trump entered office, his disapproval rating was 44 percent. Biden’s disapproval rating is 45 percent.

When President Trump entered office, 38 percent strongly approved and 36 percent strongly disapproved. Biden is entering office with both of those numbers in worse shape: only 36 percent strongly approve, while 38 percent strongly disapprove.

So what does this tell us?

Well, two things….

His Fraudulency is nowhere near as popular as the fake national media and heir failing echo chamber would have us believe, and the media no longer have any power when it comes to shaping or swaying public opinion.

After five years of media lies and media hate campaigns and outright attempts by the media and FBI to overturn Trump’s election with Russia Collusion Hoaxes and Impeachment Hoaxes and Trump Started a Riot Hoaxes, combined with a non-stop onslaught of smears about being a racist… Trump left the field with a 51 percent approval rating.

But after a full year of the fake national media covering up for Joe Biden and lionizing him, the best His Feebleness can do is a 48 percent approval rating.

Tee hee.

Biden has already violated his own mask mandate on numerous occasions, he’s already violated the Geneva Conventions against his own troops, he’s already said “Salute the Marines” instead of actually saluting the Marines…

Declaration on Women’s Sex Based Rights

On the re-affirmation of women’s sex-based rights, including women’s rights to physical and reproductive integrity, and the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and girls that result from the replacement of the category of sex with that of ‘gender identity’, and from ‘surrogate’ motherhood and related practices.

Introduction

This Declaration reaffirms the sex-based rights of women which are set out in the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 18 December 1979 (CEDAW), further developed in the CEDAW Committee General Recommendations, and adopted, inter alia, in the United Nations Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women 1993 (UNDEVW).

Article 1 of the CEDAW defines discrimination against women to mean,

“any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or  exercise by women, irrespective of their marital status, on a basis of equality of men and women, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field.’’

An Ohio priest has been suspended for attending the “Stop the Steal” rally ahead of the US Capitol siege — a punishment he ripped as “unjust,” according to reports.

Archpriest Mark Hodges, who is affiliated with St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church in Dayton, told the Journal-News that he was slapped with a three-month suspension and faces possible defrocking for simply attending the demonstration by President Donald Trump supporters.

“My beloved bishop had questioned the wisdom of a priest attending,” Hodges told the newspaper this week. “I think part of the problem is I viewed that ‘Stop the Steal’ rally as expressing extreme concerns over voter fraud allegations in the 2020 election.”

A notice on the Orthodox Church in America’s Diocese of the Midwest website shows that Hodges was “suspended from all priestly functions” effective Jan. 12. No additional details are provided and a message seeking further comment was not immediately returned early Thursday.

“I disagree,” Hodges said of the disciplinary action.

Hodges, of Lima, said he was informed of the move directly from Archbishop Paul Gassios, who heads the Diocese of the Midwest. A diocese spokesman declined to comment on the matter, the Journal-News reported.

Hodges said he has served as a “supply” priest for the past few years at parishes in Cleveland, Byesville and Toledo, as well as other churches in Michigan when vacancies arise.

Hodges told the Lima News he was informed by Gassios he was “guilty by association” for attending the rally. The archbishop confirmed Hodges’ suspension to the newspaper, but declined additional comment, saying “that is between myself and Father Mark Hodges to address.”

In a letter written to “concerned loved ones” that he shared with the Lima News, Hodges recalled the “joyful” rally where he met “wonderful” people and many families.

“It was good, huge,” the letter read. “Easily as big as any March for Life I’d been to, and I’ve been to most since the ‘80s, so I believed the whispered estimates of half-to-three-quarters of a million.”

Hodges said he saw one man who was sprayed with an irritant who told him “they’re attacking us,” he recalled.

“At this point, I had no idea of the violence inside the Capitol,” Hodges stated. “I heard the young men cursing and taunting the police.”

Hodges said he then “began to leave” as police unleashed tear gas into the crowd while he was about 25 feet away. He told a woman with him, “We should go,” he recalled.

“We left and went to Union Station,” the priest wrote in the letter.

Guidelines on the Orthodox Church in America’s website state that “clergy should refrain” from making political statements, joining political groups or “becoming fans” of political candidates or causes on social media platforms.

Hodges, meanwhile, had previously urged others on Facebook to join him at the “mega MAGA rally” on Jan. 6 in Washington.

“Whatever happens on that historic day, it will be an event to remember,” Hodges wrote. “You can tell your grandchildren that you were on the front lines in the Second American Revolution, where you fought to save the Republic.”

Kentucky Republicans in Nelson County censured Mitch McConnell for his outrageous attacks against the Republican Party.

They added to their remarks that “this is not consistent with what he promised us when he was running.”

McConnell’s speech prompted Nelson County GOP leaders to hold an emergency meeting, voting unanimously to issue a resolution censuring the senate majority leader for his comments.

“This has shown his true colors,” Nelson Co. GOP Chairman Don Thrasher said. “We felt today during his floor speech on the senate where he impugned the character of President Trump was unacceptable to us. his whole behavior overall through this whole process of the last week is not consistent with what he promised us when he was running for re-election.”

McConnell hasn’t said how he will vote in the second impeachment trial of President Trump, but has said it’s a “vote of conscience” and will be based on facts. But in light of the impending impeachment trial in the Senate, Thrasher has also proposed a resolution calling on McConnell to vote to acquit Trump.

“Basically calling for Senator McConnell to support President Trump and denounce the second impeachment as divisive,” Thrasher said.

Liz Cheney gets 2022 primary challenger after Trump impeachment vote

Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., one of the top Republicans in the House of Representatives, has a primary challenger for the 2022 election after voting to impeach President Donald Trump.

Wyoming state Sen. Anthony Bouchard threw his hat in the ring, according to a statement of candidacy filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission. Bouchard has represented District 6 of Wyoming since 2017, according to Ballotpedia.

“I expect Never Trumpers to do this stuff. But Cheney should be run out of town, and back to Virginia for joining the blame game!” Bouchard wrote on Facebook in January after Cheney’s impeachment vote.

Cheney has represented Wyoming’s At-Large Congressional District since 2017.

The Wyoming GOP condemned Cheney earlier in January for voting with nine other House Republicans to impeach Trump on charges of “incitement of an insurrection.”

“By announcing her decision to vote for impeachment Representative Cheney denied President Trump due process; she judged the ‘evidence’ before it was presented and refused to listen to the arguments made,” the Wyoming GOP said in a statement last week.

An online petition to recall Cheney on Change.org has more than 35,000 signatures.

Our First Anti-Catholic ‘Catholic’ President

Robert Royal: You can carry rosary beads and bless yourself publicly as much as you want. But please, don’t expect Catholics to be blind.


In recent days, Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago has described the pre-inauguration statement issued by USCCB President and Archbishop of Los Angeles José Gómez as “unprecedented” for what – in any non-partisan perspective – were actually quite temperate warnings to President Biden that the Church will not ignore his departures from clear Catholic teachings. In fact, the Chicago Cardinal has become rather obsessive, tweeting out what some have called a Twitter “storm” about the whole affair.

Cupich’s criticisms of his fellow bishops are themselves also quite unprecedented. Then again, the thing that’s most “unprecedented” – that’s given rise to these recent in-house Catholic squabbles – is the election of a self-described “Catholic” president, who not only believes personally that abortion, gay “marriage” (he performed one as vice-president), transgenderism (“the civil rights issue of our time”), and much more are matters of overriding political urgency, despite the long teachings of the Church and American history. He’s determined – actually seems to be going out of his way – to impose those views. On all of us.

But there’s even worse. As we’ll soon see – I hope to be wrong about this – he and the people he is appointing are poised not only aggressively to advance bad policies, but also to curtail religious liberties where they conflict with the tenets of the Alternative Creed that many Democrats – and not only them – have now embraced. It’s not only going to be the Little Sister of the Poor this time, though they will be back in court again soon. It’s Catholic (and other religious) adoption agencies, poverty programs, hospitals, schools, maybe even parishes or dioceses that are too starkly Catholic.

The Courts or a stray Democrat or so in Congress may stop some of the worst from happening. But that’s a slender hope with so much in play.

What’s truly unprecedented, then, beyond being an unfaithful Catholic, is that Biden has already shown himself by word and deed to be an anti-Catholic “Catholic.” Indeed, he’s an equal opportunity religious bigot who, for all the talk of coming together, will ride roughshod over his co-religionists as well as traditional Protestants and evangelicals, Orthodox and Conservative Jews, Muslims, Mormons, and even secular citizens who believe that “woke” politics do not abolish ordinary reason and human nature.

Biden has tried to position himself as a moderate and a man who wants to bring back American “unity.” In his inaugural address, however, he and his speechwriters told us exactly where they think the fault lines lie:

I know the forces that divide us are deep and they are real. But I also know they are not new. Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal that we are all created equal and the harsh, ugly reality that racism, nativism, fear, and demonization have long torn us apart. The battle is perennial.

In the unlikely event that you are a racist, hate foreigners, suffer from politically incorrect “phobias,” and – ahem, unlike liberals – demonize opponents, consider yourself forewarned. If, however, you think that by opposing certain policy choices you are yourself being demonized and marginalized by a political clique, well, you’ll just have to bear the stigma of being called bigoted and opposed to American “unity.”

Like Nancy Pelosi, who has said that some Catholics have placed their pro-life views “above democracy,” Biden has over the years talked himself into an alternative faith centered in partisan politics. A Catholic, indeed any sincere religious believer, should have no trouble saying – with the necessary qualifications – that of course he or she places God and his Word above any political order.

Any public figure who goes out of his way to make a display of his Catholicism should expect to receive scrutiny for his claim. Who knew that according to some Catholic Democrats the Constitution, for example, gives the Federal government the power to tell us which pronouns, family relationships, and “genders” can and cannot be used in conducting the business of the American people?

You can carry around rosary beads and bless yourself publicly as much as you want. But please, don’t expect Catholics to be blind. Or stupid. It’s not surprising when political partisans, religious or not, place their party and ambitions first, while masking it as an appeal to compassion and patriotism. But when a Catholic politician openly chooses to follow his wayward political party rather than his Church, lays out a whole set of policies that will negatively impact that Church, and immediately sets out to implement them, he’s seeking neither civic unity nor religious fidelity.

But let us also learn a lesson from this: we do not need to act like this ourselves. Christians aren’t in the world to cancel people; we’re here to convert them.  The nation is divided and needs to be evangelized. The alternative is civil war or secession. A nation divided in its ultimate commitments cannot resolve differences politically unless we open up space to live and let live. We can do that and still stand up – forcefully – for truth.

We won’t get that from the Biden administration. But we can prepare among ourselves a different mentality by the ways we think, speak, and act, now. It’s not an easy road. There are pitfalls everywhere. But God never said that his way would be easy.

Our bishops are shepherds, as well as public figures. They must teach, sanctify, and govern the flock as well as be public witnesses to the Truth. Gomez and the other bishops who joined him were right to express willingness to co-operate, even “dialogue” – however unlikely, given ideological hatreds – with the incoming administration. But they were even more right to make clear that (to borrow from St. Thomas More) they are America’s good servants, but God’s first.

That may seem unprecedented to some, but let’s hope it’s the first of many new precedents that will radically shift the understanding of faith in our public life.

VIDEO: In New Hampshire, Watch a Trump Republican Square Off Against the GOP Establishment

A race up in New Hampshire will show whether the Stupid Party, as the Republican establishment is so deservedly called, is going to get smart now. On Saturday, the New Hampshire Republican state committee will either re-elect Steven Stepanek as chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, or elect Keith Hanson. It’s a contest over whether the Republican Party in New Hampshire will remain the party of Mitch McConnell, i.e., cowardice and me-tooism, or whether it will genuinely offer a choice to voters and a home for people who are genuinely alarmed at the Leftist establishment’s contempt for civil liberties.

“There is a concerted effort, Keith Hanson told me, “to silence conservatives on the state level, and I stand in direct challenge to the initiatives to push the party to the left in an effort to be liked by progressive Democrats,” of whom, Hanson added, the present New Hampshire Republican leaders are “terrified.”

I have direct experience of this, and a keen interest in this race, because back in October 2019, when he was the chairman of the Sullivan County Republican Party in New Hampshire, Hanson invited me to come to the state and speak to his group, and all hell broke loose. What happened as a result of his invitation showed in microcosm how the far Left has gained control of the political process in America, while Republican leaders are generally spineless accommodationists who fold at the least sign of disapproval from Democrats.

My appearance led to what has now become the usual firestorm that ensues whenever someone who challenges the prevailing Leftist narrative speaks anywhere. I was defamed in the local media by Raymond Buckley, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, as a “white supremacist”; Buckley had apparently confused me with Richard Spencer, and refused to retract when repeatedly asked to do so. Democrat State Senator Martha Hennessey, imitating the Nazi Brownshirts in the early 1930s, jumped on and led a smear campaign on Twitter to get me canceled. Two venues caved in to this and canceled the event, which ultimately took place at a third. Here is the video. You can see for yourself if it’s full of “hate.”

Buckley is a liar and Hennessey is a fascist, so neither should be in positions of public service, but they’re typical in the Democrat Party these days. What was far worse was the cowardly response on the Republican side. Instead of investigating the false charges being made about me, discovering I wasn’t really any of the things that were being said, and standing up for the freedom of speech, the New Hampshire Republicans were ready to kowtow and do everything the Democrats wanted.

Hanson stood firm, and ultimately lost his chairmanship as a result. His predecessor as Sullivan County Republican Committee Chairman, James “Jim” Beard, emailed Hanson the night before the event: “Time to accept failure….Keith, it is time to send a email blast to everyone who responded, everyone who bought tickets with 100% refunds and accept your mis-management for bringing this event to Sullivan County….Let us return to good ole’ [sic] fashioned hot dog roasts on the Newport Common where people came together from all works of life in the community, socialize and build common understanding. That is how we Republicans solicit votes….You can write your own resignation.” Hanson didn’t, but was soon forced out.

Beard’s “hot dog roasts” epitomize the futility of today’s Republican Party. Stand on principle? Not good ol’ James “Jim” Beard. The Democrats are at open war against the freedom of speech. They’re stigmatizing and silencing all opposition to jihad mass murder and Sharia oppression of women and others. They are forcing a radical socialist agenda on the country. And this clown thinks he is going to beat them with hot dog roasts. Or rather, he is happy to lose, as long as he gets his with mustard.

Then there was Representative Steven Smith, senior Republican advisor in the NH House and chairman of the Sullivan County delegation, Sullivan County District 11. After succeeding Hanson as chairman of the Sullivan County Republican Party, Smith actually apologized for my having spoken there, despite the fact that he did not attend the event and admitted that he had not watched the video, and so had no idea what I had said. What he did know was that the Democrats and media were telling him to jump, and so he said, “How high?”

Jellyfish on the order of Beard and Smith rule the Republican Party not just in New Hampshire, but all over the country. The Democrats are fighting a war, and the Republicans are playing jacks. Where are the men with spines? Where are people standing up to this totalitarian agenda of the left? Now that Biden is in the White House and the freedom of speech is under concerted Leftist assault, this is needed more than ever. But instead, Republicans keep roasting their hot dogs, and hoping that their Leftist masters won’t demand too very much of them.

What happens Saturday in New Hampshire will be telling. The Republican Party has a choice now. It can move toward forming a genuine opposition to the Left and blocking its efforts to cement its hegemony. Or it can sit back complacently as the First and Second Amendments are rapidly being eroded, and at least enjoy a few weenie roasts before it is shut down completely. Republicans all over the country will before too long be facing the same choice.

Why corporate America loves the Left

The leftward drift of many American business executives is driven by dubious economic calculations as well as cultural and political pressures.


Amid the political ads with which we are bombarded during every election, one theme emphasised by progressive candidates concerns the evils of business. Corporate America is especially singled out for allegedly not paying enough taxes, underpaying employees, under-serving customers, and exploiting ordinary Americans.

Yet the same political candidates are among the biggest recipients of financial support from those who lead and manage the corporate sector. Take, for instance, Wall Street. In the third quarter of 2020, Joe Biden and a Democratic Party whose base has shifted to the left crushed Donald Trump and the Republicans in fundraising from Wall Street executives. This is despite the Trump administration’s lowering corporate taxes and Biden’s stated intention to raise taxes on high earners and to increase corporate tax rates.

This isn’t a new phenomenon. Back in 2008, Barack Obama comprehensively outraised John McCain among the same demographic. Mitt Romney reversed this somewhat in 2012. But the money dramatically shifted back to the left in 2016 when Hillary Clinton easily won the bulk of donors from the financial sector.

Some of this is attributable to circumstances. Senator McCain’s evident unease when discussing economic issues just as a major financial crisis was engulfing America in 2008, for instance, did not inspire confidence among business leaders. There are, however, other reasons why much of America’s business community has politically moved leftward. While some of these concern economic and demographic calculations made by many CEOs, others reflect pressures that have little to do with markets.

The economics of wokeness

One explanation for many company executives’ public embrace of progressive causes is that they want to preserve and expand their customer base. Younger Americans are more socially liberal, we’re told, and want their buying choices to reflect their politics. Economic self-interest, the logic goes, compels businesses to adapt to these realities by sounding as progressive as possible.

Sometimes this takes the form of organisational changes, such as creating positions like “Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion.” Few individuals with such jobs seem especially interested in promoting a plurality of political views within their companies. On other occasions, it involves vocally and financially supporting various progressive causes, or signaling that you disdain customers with more conservative views.

There’s little doubt that many Americans want their buying choices to reflect their politics. One reputable consumer survey, for example, indicated that 66 percent of respondents believed that it was important for companies to take political stands. Breaking this down further, it turned out that this view was held by 78 percent of liberals but also by 52 percent of conservatives.

This means that companies that portray themselves as committed to progressive activism risk losing their more conservative customers. The fact that more Americans consistently identify as conservative rather than liberal should cause company executives to pause before imagining that being assertively progressive is the gateway to greater profits.

In fact, there is evidence that promoting progressive ideas doesn’t increase (or, for that matter, undermine) profits. Study of the economics of wokeness is relatively new, but in his carefully framed analysis of several prominent cases, Vincent Harinam concluded that:

woke corporate policies do little to positively or negatively impact a company’s bottom line. While financial gains are possible, they are minimal. In other words, woke capitalism is, for the most part, financially inconsequential relative to other higher-order factors, be they store closures or increased production costs. The market is the market. It is unpredictable, volatile, and based on trillions of hard-to-model data points. As such, woke capitalism doesn’t move the needle. Going woke won’t make you broke, but it won’t line your pockets either.

Demography isn’t destiny

If this is the case, why do businesses get woke?

Harinam suggests it’s at least partly about demographics, an area to which executives and managers pay close attention. Millennials, Harinam notes, are (at least according to Pew Research) the only more or less consistently liberal generational demographic. For some companies, this matters because millennials are or will be one of their major consumer markets.

More generally, Harinam maintains that going woke is a relatively cost-effective way of placating the activist left and reassuring consumers that the company is socially responsible. Sometimes, he points out, this spectacularly backfires, as businesses like Gillette and Pepsi have discovered. The general calculus, however, is that corporate wokeness is one way of getting ahead of the demographic curve.

The flaw with this strategy is that demography isn’t always destiny. Looking at the 2020 election results, for example, some progressives have observed that the left is losing its grip on specific groups, such as black and Hispanic Americans, as younger members of these groups question and turn away from their parents’ political leanings. Once upon a time, most American Catholics regularly voted Democratic, while Episcopalian was a synonym for Republican. Neither has been the case for decades.

Put another way, people change their minds. Sometimes the trigger is a major event like a pandemic, recession, terrorist attack, or Supreme Court decision. Consider how Roe v. Wade eventually turned millions of Catholics and Evangelicals against the Democratic Party, or the ways in which the 2008 financial crisis and Great Recession soured large numbers of millennials on capitalism. More mundanely, many once-liberal individuals get married, start families, begin regularly attending church or synagogue, see their taxes grow, read a little economics, or simply get tired of being told they should act and vote in particular ways because of their skin color, sex, religion, or ethnicity.

Taken together, this indicates that business executives should be careful before assuming the static nature of any group’s social, political, and economic preferences. Perpetually posing as more progressive than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may, at some point, result in companies’ losing touch with or even alienating significant segments of their markets.

Shifting the goalposts

While economic and demographic assumptions (however mistaken) help explain the leftward shift of parts of the American business community, other less economic factors are also at work.

One is the cultural pressures to which all of us are subject. Like other Americans, many business leaders have studied at colleges that, for all their diversity-speak, are monolithically progressive in their outlook. CEOs and higher business managers also live in a media environment in which conservative voices are token or stigmatised. There is no reason to assume that business executives are any more resistant to intensifying progressive influences than anyone else.

That applies to the way they think about economic issues as much as about social questions. It’s an error to assume that all business leaders are gung-ho free-marketers. In fact, many prefer to seek favours from governments and regulators rather than trying to out-compete their rivals in the marketplace. Some of these executives have also surely worked out that PDWs (Public Displays of Wokeness) are one way of enhancing their ability to play the crony game. If a company wants to secure privileges from a heavily liberal legislature, it can’t hurt to emphasise the business’s commitment to woke causes.

More generally, many people consistently prioritise their political beliefs over their economic self-interest. While incentives to focus on the economic bottom line may be greater in commerce, it’s not uncommon for business leaders to decide that supporting particular progressive political causes matters more than profit, whatever the consequences for shareholders and customers.

Lastly, there is the ongoing impact of the stakeholder movement on the business world. Few events symbolise how far such thinking has penetrated America than the Business Roundtable’s 2019 decision, endorsed by 181 CEOs, to commit itself to leading “their companies for the benefit of all stakeholders — customers, employees, suppliers, communities, and shareholders.” Six months later in December 2019, the World Economic Forum produced a manifesto stating that companies needed to shift away from “shareholder capitalism” and embrace “stakeholder capitalism.”

For many people, such words may seem innocuous, not least because stakeholderism reflects a certain truth about business. To the extent that stakeholderism holds that businesses should treat their employees and customers fairly, honour contracts, obey just laws, respect the environment, etc., it is unobjectionable. In such cases, it’s simply another way of articulating well-understood responsibilities of business.

Business leaders meet these obligations every single day by facilitating choice in goods and services for consumers, providing wages and benefits to their employees, repaying loans to banks, providing returns to investors and shareholders, paying just taxes, and, above all, creating economic value that benefits the wider community in seen and unseen ways in the present and into the future.

That truth, however, has steadily been twisted in ways that distract business leaders from their core responsibilities, diminish the legitimate commercial liberties of the companies they run, and allow executives of publicly traded companies to insulate themselves from accountability to investors and shareholders. This is apparent in what is called “pluralistic stakeholderism.”

Among other things, this school of thought holds that companies must consider the effects of their choices on potentially infinite numbers of stakeholders, even to the point of requiring businesses to consult with, if not receive approval from, numerous constituencies before making any significant decisions. In this scenario, shareholders and customers are just one of a plethora of entities to whom business executives must answer.

If followed through systematically, such forms of stakeholderism would marginalise attention to profit-making in many business leaders’ decision-making, thoroughly muddle lines of accountability within companies, and undermine a basic foundation of competitive market economies by prioritising virtue-signaling over the workings of price signals. And this, I’d suggest, is precisely what that large segment of the political left that has never reconciled itself to free markets actually wants.

That is what is ultimately at stake with the leftward drift of so many American business leaders. Seeking to appease activist progressives might help alleviate some immediate pressures on companies. It may even seem like good public relations. But like all forms of appeasement, this is counterproductive over the long term insofar as it will significantly undermine the capacity of business executives to generate profits, create jobs, and build and invest the capital that fuels long-term growth for entire countries.

In such a world, all of us — not just business — will lose.

How Missouri became the first abortion-free state in the U.S.

Grassroots action over decades has borne fruit.


Although the pro-life movement has faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision illegalizing abortion in the U.S., the movement continues to make legal and cultural gains.

This is one of the latest.

In July 2019, I wrote the blog “The Last Planned Parenthood Clinic in Missouri Again Evades Closure” about how the lone Planned Parenthood clinic in my home state of Missouri received multiple court-ordered reprieves from closure after the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) decided not to renew the facility’s license because of dozens of serious health and safety violations.

Public records showed numerous problems at the clinic, including unreported failed abortions, life threatening complications, an illegal abortion at 21 weeks, insufficient supervision of medical residents (students) performing abortions, and inaccurate medical records, among the many other violations.

Yet the St. Louis abortion clinic continued to get court-ordered reprieves.

But this month, Operation Rescue confirmed that now no abortions have been performed there for months.  Instead, all abortion appointments are now being referred to the Fairview Heights Planned Parenthood facility across the Mississippi River in Illinois.

How could this happen?

While Missouri has long been a strongly pro-life state with legislation like the 2019 “Missouri Stands for the Unborn Act” and many active pro-life organisations, Defenders of the Unborn president Mary Maschmeier, who has led a peaceful, prayerful and life-saving ministry outside the St. Louis Planned Parenthood clinic for many years, wrote an email also giving credit to the:

“ordinary citizens who would not take no for an answer. Who persevered day after day, year after year, decade after decade. Ever present on the front lines. In the streets. In the halls of our state legislature. Sidewalk counseling. Prayer warriors… Manning pregnancy aid centers. Staffing ultrasound vans. Rain, snow, heat, cold — ever vigilant.”

Mary also wrote,

“We will not stop until the that unjust practice is banished from our land and encourage our fellow citizens to end abortion in their respective states.”

Conclusion

In 1989, I had just started working as an RN on an oncology (cancer) unit when we discovered that one of our patients had CMV (Cytomegalovirus).

One of our nurses was pregnant and tested positive for the virus. Her doctor told her how her baby could die or have terrible birth defects from the virus, and he recommended an abortion.

“Sue” (not her real name) was frantic. She had two little girls and worked full-time. She said she didn’t know how she could manage a child with serious birth defects.

I told her that it was usually impossible to know if or how much a baby might be impaired before birth. I also told her about my Karen who was born with Down Syndrome and a critical heart defect and died at 5 months. I told her that I treasured the time I had with her and later babysat children with a range of physical and mental difficulties. Most importantly, I also told her that I would be there to help her and her baby.

“Sue” decided against abortion and told the other nurses what I said.

The other nurses were furious with me and said if the baby was born with so much as an extra toe, they would never talk to me again.

But slowly, the other nurses came around and also offered to help Sue and her baby.

In the end, we all celebrated when Sue had her first son, who was perfectly healthy!

My point is that what many people don’t understand is that pro-life doesn’t mean just being against abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. What being pro-life really means is truly caring about all lives, born or unborn.

‘Folks, this is a time of testing.’

President Joe Biden’s inaugural speech was a sonorous snorefest, competent but not memorable.


To put Joe Biden’s inaugural address into perspective it might help to think back to Clinton’s or Eisenhower’s second, or Coolidge’s or James Buchanan’s first and only. But you can’t remember them and neither can I, because they were sonorous snorefests quickly forgotten and it didn’t matter. Except it did with Buchanan, who then watched the Civil War approach like a deer in the headlights.

America’s 15th president desperately needed to find inspiration and follow through and didn’t. Instead he churned out 2823 words of fatuous optimism that might offer an ominous parallel for Biden.

Arguably William Henry Harrison set the worst precedent, droning on bare-headed on a blustery March day until he caught pneumonia and died. And while people remember Kennedy’s inaugural it’s mostly for soaring rhetoric unsupported by sober planning and unmatched by real achievement.

By contrast they remember FDR’s first for offering inspiration as a prelude to a program that, while still controversial, was certainly dramatic. His famous “the only thing we have to fear is… fear itself” is debatable. But it resonates down through the years because had a unifying effect on a nation terrified of the Great Depression, and at a level far deeper than policy, where disagreements persisted.

Biden was free instead to drop rhetorical sludge down a historical well if he wanted, complete with pseudo-inspirational lines as hackneyed in conception as in delivery. Many presidents served with distinction without any quotable inaugural words, while others said fine things but did not achieve them, and still others mumbled through the inaugural then stumbled through the White House.

Still, the Inaugural on my mind before Biden spoke, and afterward in a different way, was Lincoln’s second.

Delivered at a time of appalling crisis even by the standards of American public life, it was poetic and profound. And while NBC may gush that “Inaugural poet Amanda Gorman steals the show” and claim “the nation’s youngest inaugural poet, captivated the nation with her poem, ‘The Hill We Climb’”, it actually showed how far our standards have fallen. It was a pedestrian speech, lacking metre or grace, of which nobody will ever remember or quote a single line.

If you want poetry, try FDR’s “the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side”. Or Lincoln’s “Both parties deprecated war, but one of them would make war rather than let the nation survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it perish. And the war came.”

His famous 1865 oration was just 701 words long, shorter than an average newspaper column and deeper than most books. And containing such commendable modest frankness as “The progress of our arms, upon which all else chiefly depends, is as well known to the public as to myself, and it is, I trust, reasonably satisfactory and encouraging to all.” No bluster, hyperbole or vainglory.

Given that progress, he was not addressing the crisis of a war by then grinding toward a predictable Union victory. His eye was on the far more challenging crisis of reconciliation. As Biden’s presumably was.

Lincoln noted of the combatants: “Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and each invokes His aid against the other.” And added pointedly: “It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God’s assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men’s faces” but immediately continued “but let us judge not, that we be not judged. The prayers of both could not be answered. That of neither has been answered fully.”

Note the balance, depth, sympathy. Even when invoking the wrath of God. “If we shall suppose that American slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove… He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came”.

Then he finds a note of uplift that is neither saccharine nor insincere: “Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said ‘the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.’”

Such is the stuff of poetry, and prophecy. But what then is to be done? He immediately concluded with stunning brevity and clarity: “With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.”

Alas, Lincoln did not live to implement this vision. Instead the nation fell into the hands of men consumed by malice, on both sides of the Reconstruction debate, sowing the seeds of another century and more of turmoil and hatred.

As for Biden, he does not face a crisis comparable to the Civil War. At least I hope not. But he missed that note of malice toward none and charity for all and indeed did not seem to reach for it.

Did he even reread Lincoln’s words before delivering his own? He churned out cliches about unity, hope and America. But in his specifics he pointed the finger of blame one way only. He gloated.

I do not complain of his declared intent to pursue his program. And I acknowledge his ritual nod to the fact that in a democracy not everyone will agree. But he had to state frankly that the divisions in America run in both directions, acknowledge progressive as well as reactionary hatred and explicitly condemn violence from left as well as right.

It would also have been helpful graciously to acknowledge some of Trump’s achievements, for instance in the Middle East. But Biden is too narrow, ordinary and partisan. When he spoke of the victory of democracy, he meant not a peaceful election but his party’s triumph despite the villains opposite.

It may not matter. It was just a moment in time, as forgettable as many others, and if he governs well this boilerplate will be forgotten, as it will if he governs poorly. But had he risen to the occasion, the 46th president might have spoken words long remembered for starting the healing process.

If things go very wrong, it may be remembered instead that he did not try.

Joe Biden during his inaugural address said:

And now, a rise in political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat.

To overcome these challenges – to restore the soul and to secure the future of America – requires more than words.

It requires that most elusive of things in a democracy:

Unity.

Unity.

Biden does not understand that America is a Constitutional Republic. His use of the word “democracy” is a false flag.

Biden calls for unity, but party’s recent past tells different story

Founding Father Benjamin Franklin was out of Independence Hall after the Constitutional Convention in 1787, when someone shouted out, “Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy? To which Franklin responded: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

America has never been a democracy. The political extremism Biden refers to is those who are part of the MAGA Movement. The white supremacy is a direct attack on anyone who is white but not a member of the Democrat elite. The domestic terrorism isn’t ISIS, Iran, al Qaeda. Not rather it is anyone who disagrees with Biden and his party’s agenda.

Unity is Code of Obey or Else!

Biden called for “unity” but is that what he wants? The answer is no. He wants submission. The threats made in his inaugural address attest to that.

Let’s look at some quotes from Democrats about unity:

  • Joe Biden, “I’d like to take Trump behind a barn to beat him.”
  • Corey Booker, “I dream of punching Trump in the face.”
  • Maxine Waters, “Harass Trump’s staff and supporters in public and refuse to serve them.”
  • Madonna, “Let’s blow up the White House.”
  • Peter Fonda, “Lock 10-year old Barren Trump in a cage with child molesters.”
  • Johnny Depp, “We need another John Wilkes Booth.”
  • Tom Arnold, “I fantasize about standing over Trump Jr.’s dead body.”
  • Kathy Griffith held up a bloody, decapitated head of President Donald J. Trump.
  • Snoop Dog in a music video he shoots a likeness of President Trump. Then his album cover depicts President Trump in a body bag.

Most recently Antifa marched in Portland, Oregon and said that they want vengeance.

Democrats Want Power and Control, Not Unity

Biden and Democrats want to undue everything that put America, and thereby Americans, first. Right after his inauguration Biden signed a series of Executive Orders undoing what his predecessor did. Here’s a short list of Biden’s agenda from Donald J. Trump, Jr.:

Biden will go down as the worst president in American history. By the time he and the Democrats are done, America will be gone. I hope I am wrong. I hope that some Democrats will stand up against this onslaught. This purge. I hope that Republicans will stick together to try their best to stop the Biden agenda.

Biden did say one thing during his inaugural address remarked that, “Lies [are] told for power and for profit.” Biden and his family have consistently told lies for power and for profit. Now that Biden and his family are in power, they will continue to lie to the American people in order to profit.

I don’t hold out much hope for unity. I foresee disunity and vengeance coming. The political extremism is now on the Democrats and Biden. Biden’s inaugural address tells us so.

Communism: Amerika’s New Normal?

America’s exceptionalism, individualism, our patriotism, and they hate the mention of the treasured values which made America great. They want us to be a collectivist country governed by socialism rather than individual liberty.  Basically they hate America, Americans and everything we represent. They want us erased.


Why do the republicans let them get away with the abuse of power we are experiencing?  Mostly because republicans think they are immune to repercussions. Look how fast they ditched Trump and begged for forgiveness. They are basically spineless. Communists call patriots fascists. Do they even know what fascism means?  The merger of state and corporate power is technically defined by the word “fascism” which defines the Democrats to a tee.  Paid off by Tech and Wall Street, Democrats and Republicans sit on their hands unless demanded by Tech and Wall Street to write laws to screw the American people.

Republicans have been trained not to fight back.   They’re taught that confrontation does not lead to any good results.  Fighting and violence they feel brings more fighting and violence without good results.  The problem is, when you are fighting an enemy that only understands confrontation stepping back gives you a disadvantage instead of an advantage.   This is one reason why they despised President Trump.  Trump does not back down.  He has been the inspiration for millions to fight for what they believe, to fight for America and Americans.  Therefore are we going to back down? Is that going to be the new MO?  Not ever under any circumstances, is the only response.

The biggest problem to me is that we view the democrat/communist/globalists as sane and rational. We look at them and fight them as though they were like us. NOTHING can be further than the truth. We must look at them for who and what they are: democrat/communist/globalists who despise everything America stands for. We CAN NOT fight them as though they are sane and rational. Remember they are communists.  They have NO value for human life. Only the group is important and if you sacrifice enough people for the betterment of the group, so be it.  Remember what Komrad Nancy P said, “People will do what they do.”  Communists want the earth depopulated from its useless eaters.  That would be anyone who disagrees, is elderly, disabled or under working age of 10. You can not fight them using logic. It doesn’t work. You must fight with the same tool they use. Money and votes. Stop buying their stuff.

Can you live without another shirt from China? They hate you. STOP FEEDING them.  These corporations only stay in business because we buy their stuff. Facebook, Twitter just took a dive because patriots (the new domestic terrorist) moved their business. Vote with your wallet. Get your kids, grandkids out of government indoctrination centers aka schools. Start a “church” school like the old days when learning how to think was more important than being told what to think.  There is a reason why 47% of Americans are functionally illiterate ON PURPOSE.  After all dumb people require less from their government and ask less questions.

How do they get people to believe them?  They lie. We know communist have no truth except the truth they create at the time.  The truth changes to fit the situation. We all know we heard Joe Biden call what went on in the capital, domestic terrorism. So we need people to continue to resend pictures of what went on in our cities this past summer.

Ask where was Joe?  Joe calls DC domestic terrorism. What is he calling the summer riots? Peaceful Protests? We have to show the people we know what they’re doing.  We have to be smarter than them and we have to fight back and that’s what we’re going to do.

All of us we need to start addressing the lies and not let them stand. Be the annoying fly on the wall and constantly tell your legislator.  Make them accountable.

We know that communists love violence after all what’s another life, who cares.  They believe there are too many humans anyhow.  Communists follow a path called psychological projection which means they put their evil deeds on their opposition.  Why?  By blaming others first, when the infraction is new, they are able to say, what’s the big deal the GOP, Patriots etc. did it first.  They are normalizing the infraction.

Instead of us saying nothing which is what we do 95% of the time, we have to fight back and say, NO! That is not the truth. Take photos of everything you see as proof.  Send to  any accepting site or media outlet so that we can get the truth out.  Remember we are not alone. There are 75Million of us.

We know that they will now be blaming Trump for everything they can think of. They are scared. We must use their own words and videos when describing actions.   Show the pictures of the rioting and repeat their words.  My favorite was the commentator who described the fires as mostly peaceful.  You can have fun with that.  This is not to minimize any of the damage to hard working Americans.  Remember they are communists and despise the middle class.  The middle class represents thinkers, doers and all things in competition with communists.

Show footage the media ignores. Like Patriots trying to hold ANTIFA. This DC Riot was too organized to be spontaneous. I believe it was initiated by paid communist operatives. We may never know the whole truth for once Trump leaves so will any hope of accountability. We know they are going to blame us.   I listened to the speech. POTUS did not never once in his transcript of his speech said go riot.  This staged riot would have happened whether or not Trumpsters went to the capital because they could not let the evidence be seen.  Once in that safe room, I bet mega donors told the GOP vote for Joe or no more donations.

We have the right to peacefully assemble; everyone knows that. They do not have the right to riot but remember what I said, they are communists.  Chaos and violence thrives under communism.  I bet it will take only a few minutes where based on the riot, China Joe will call for gun bans. Eliminating the disclosing of massive amounts of evidence along with gun bans were the goal of the riots. We must fight this and NEVER GIVE UP OUR GUNS. Otherwise, mission accomplished.

We also know we have a group of people who are taught, triggered, and paid to be agitators  filled with hatred of anyone or anything opposing them.  They will do anything to make us look bad. The ends justify the means was their teaching. So snuffing out all competition, like the middle class, excites them to adding more fuel to the fire. Add that to psychological projection and you can see they are projecting what they are doing onto us.

When they project we must go on offence not defense.  We must demand evidence.  Whenever I ask where, show me the evidence, I get no response.  They repeat themselves and start yelling. Why? Because they have no evidence. But if no one points it out, no one knows.  This is just like the voter fraud.  I see nothing, I hear nothing so there is no evidence.

Is enough, enough?  Just imagine for one minute if we had a real government that had some social party differences but negotiated deals for a better life for Americans. Imagine under Pres. Trump the wealth we would have created, the freedom, liberty and happiness that would bring is the American dream.  A strong country is strongest when its people are strong. Trump understood that and was able to bring that message to the American people. For that he was hated.  It’s time.  It’s up to us we have to answer now.   We cannot let them continue the lies without answering back.  We cannot allow them to continue to call us liars.  We must call out projection.  We must not allow them to create their new normal which was previewed by the 2020 Summer of Love.

We have a lot to think about. Based on the communism of the past, American opposition to CCP and Big Tech will be empty words. They are vicious and cruel. Children and the underclass are their target. The ends justify the means. Winning is the only acceptable outcome.

Thank you President Trump. You showed us the way. You taught us to fight for our dreams. You helped us remember that a person’s actions and values are more important than their looks.  You helped us to Make America Great Again and we will fight to keep it that way.

America worth saving?
