The 6 Most Notable Moments from Day 1 of the DNC

The Democratic Party opened its 2024 national convention in Chicago’s United Center on Monday, adopting its platform, setting its agenda, and hearing the first day of speeches from Hillary Clinton, abortion activists, and President Joe Biden. The first day of the DNC featured a prayer without Christ, politicians citing Bible verses moments after promoting abortion-on-demand, and insisting pro-life protections violate “basic decency.”

Here are a few of the most memorable events of day one:

1. A “Christian” invocation without Jesus or a cross?

The Democratic National Convention began its first day in prayer — but not one that mentioned the Name of Jesus Christ or displayed the symbol associated with His death and resurrection. The invocation, offered by Roman Catholic Cardinal Blase J. Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago, exhorted the faithful “to root out ongoing injustices in our national life, especially those created by moral blindness and fear of the other” and to forge a “new chapter of our nation’s history.” Although Cupich did not mention Jesus, he did, however, quote Pope Francis.

“Hiding his pectoral cross, and never once [m]entioning the name of Jesus, Cdl. Blase Cupich gave the invocation at an event providing free abortions and vasectomies,” noted The Lepanto Institute, a conservative Catholic organization. Catholic Vote said simply, “The DNC is demonic.”

In April 2022, Cardinal Cupich was booed off the stage of the Chicago March for Life, where he said protecting the unborn is “not our only goal.”

2. Citing the Golden Rule, the death penalty, and love for children discussing abortion

While most of the speakers shied away from even uttering the word “abortion,” some invoked the gruesome procedure while invoking the Bible or claiming those who protect the unborn lack humanity. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D), who made the shortlist for vice president after party leaders persuaded President Joe Biden to step down as his party’s presumptive nominee, referred to two passages of the Good Book while bashing former President Donald Trump and vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance over their openness to pro-life arguments.

“Trump says people are absolutely thrilled that women had their basic rights eliminated,” said Beshear. Trump and J.D. Vance’s “policies give rapists more rights than their victims,” he alleged, before turning to the Scriptures.

“My faith teaches me the Golden Rule: love your neighbor as yourself. The Parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us that we are all each other’s neighbors. We believe in an America that lives out these values. Let’s end anger politics and remember we are all Americans,” he said.

Those remarks contrast with his view of anyone who supports pro-life laws. Advocating for the right to life “fails any test of humanity, any test of basic decency, any test of whether you have any underlying empathy,” said Beshear (whose father, Steve, also served as Kentucky’s governor).

“Hey maybe the party that promotes abortion through all nine months until birth and all kinds of sexual degeneracy shouldn’t be quoting from the Bible that condemns both,” suggested Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America.

Another speaker also insisted supporting abortion proves one’s empathic nature. Kamala Harris “sees each person as just that: a person. … She sees the humanity in everyone.” said Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) in a vitriolic speech. “As women are dying, [President Trump] is bragging about overturning Roe. … Right now in Texas, they want to institute the death penalty — that is a problem — while Kamala Harris is fighting for our reproductive rights to be restored.”

Former Secretary of State and failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took a similar rhetorical approach. “Kamala cares about kids and families,” Clinton insisted, while saying Harris would sign a bill nationalizing abortion-on-demand. “Women fighting for reproductive health care are saying, ‘Keep going,’” stated Clinton. “Yes, she will restore abortion rights nationwide!” Abortion activist Hadley Duvall, who spoke alongside Behsear, also stated, “Kamala Harris will sign a national law to restore the right to an abortion.”

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) declared, “Together, we must protect abortion rights!” She seemingly complained about the existence of President Donald Trump, saying New Yorkers are tired of him, as “we’ve had to deal with him for 78 long years.” Hochul’s remarks came 37 days after a gunman came within a fraction of an inch of killing the 45th president in cold blood.

Although abortion pervaded the proceedings, most speakers did not use the phrase at all, preferring the euphemism “reproductive rights” or “reproductive freedom” in its place. Beshear told delegates to “elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and protect reproductive freedom!”

“Reproductive rights” places the “right” to take an innocent life through abortion on the same constitutional level as the unalienable right to life protected in the 5th and 14th Amendments. The language shift away from naming the life-taking procedure to promoting a nebulous “freedom” mirrors the tactics of the abortion industry itself. The organization once known as the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) recently rebranded itself as “Reproductive Freedom for All.” Harris, a longtime ally of the abortion industry who prosecuted investigative journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt for exposing Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in aborted babies’ organs, has centered her campaign around “freedom” (and “joy”).

The rhetoric proved too much for many viewers. “The Democrats have become a singularly single issue party. It is all about murdering babies, and that is their definition of freedom,” observed David Limbaugh, a conservative commentator and author of numerous Christian books.

3. Planned Parenthood carries out 10 abortions and an unknown number of vasectomies during DNC

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers in St. Louis announced it would offer free abortions and vasectomies in a mobile truck not far from the Democratic National Convention. A local hot dog shop, The Wieners Circle, posted on the social media platform X that it would give anyone who had a vasectomy or abortion a coupon for a free hotdog.

“Planned Parenthood staff is saying that on the first day of the DNC, they did ten free abortions,” reported Lila Rose, founder of the pro-life organization Live Action, on Monday. “Ten helpless babies have been sacrificed so far at the DNC death cult. There are no words to express the sheer horror.”

In response, Democrats for Life held a pro-life event to give baby items to local mothers. “While Planned Parenthood is providing free abortions at the DNC, Democrats For Life is conducting a diaper drive to support local Chicago families,” said Kristen Day of Democrats for Life. She later noted the Democratic Party, which prides itself on its diversity and inclusion, “is inclusive only if you take an oath to Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion agenda.”

4. Began with a ‘land acknowledgement’

As the party of Woke activists, the Democratic National Convention began with a land acknowledgement, a statement that all American territory once belonged to American Indian tribes. “Our country was built on indigenous homelands,” they stated, naming numerous areas tribes.

5. Trump would ‘weaponize’ the government?

In a curious about-face, Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow (D) warned, “Under Project 2025, Donald Trump would be able to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents. He could even turn the FBI into his own personal police force.” Of course, House Republicans convened a formal investigation into the Biden-Harris administration’s multipronged attempt to weaponize government against its political foes, including instigating a now-tenuous special prosecutor case into the former president’s actions.

6. Joe Biden’s farewell speech

Joe Biden’s farewell speech to the 2024 DNC combined familiar themes from his previous speeches with the sound of Biden regularly shouting his words or rushing them together. He stumbled trying to say women were not without “electoral power” (saying, “Women are not without electrical” power) and appeared to lose his train of thought when discussing Medicare and Big Pharma.

Yet perhaps most concerning were his recycled tales about President Donald Trump, which fact-checkers have found to be inaccurate:

  • President Trump allegedly claimed there were “very fine people on both sides” of Charlottesville’s Unite the Right protest, Biden said, taking the Lord’s Name in vain afterwards. Yet Trump said moments later he is not talking about white supremacists and neo-Nazis, but instead about local citizens who wanted to preserve their history.
  • President Trump allegedly called Americans who died in uniform “suckers and losers,” although eyewitnesses of his trip to Europe insist the event did not occur.
  • That President Trump said, unless he is elected, America will experience a “bloodbath,” an economic term the 45th president applied to the automobile industry.
  • Biden also alleged, “We saved democracy in 2020, and now we just save it again in 2024.”

Biden concluded his speech after midnight. The second day commenced Tuesday morning.

Automakers Once Again in Meltdown Mode: GM announces layoffs of 1,000 tech workers

Poised for another government-funded bailout because they followed government mandates and produced cars nobody wanted.

GM announces layoffs of 1,000 tech workers who wasted time and money designing expensive EVs and self-driving autonomous vehicles that average American consumer can’t afford and doesn’t want.

General Motors is laying off more than 1,000 salaried tech employees in its software and services division in an effort to streamline the unit’s operations.

The layoffs include roughly 600 jobs at GM’s tech campus in Warren, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, CNBC is reporting.

The cuts come as automakers attempt to reduce costs during an industry downturn and as they’re spending billions of dollars on super-expensive all-electric vehicles and so-called software-defined vehicles. These include self-driving autonomous vehicles that are continuously gathering up and sending all your personal data to a central computer, then they sell it off to third parties. These cars will also include remote kill switches.

In other words, the auto industry is pouring all of its R&D money into vehicles that nobody in their right mind would want to own.

In fact, GM is being sued for illegally selling more than 1.8 million drivers’ personal driving data to insurance companies.

Only a digital slave to Klaus Schwab’s Fourth Industrial Revolution would want a car that spies on them, reports their driving habits to the insurance companies, and offers the government the opportunity to shut their car down.

It would be nice to see some new automobile manufacturers spring up to fill the niche of consumers who would like to remain free. Free of tracking, free of those nagging beeping reminders to put your seatbelt on, free of cameras checking your every move, and with no online connection to the socialist nanny state. The time for such a car company has arrived. Will anyone answer the bell? I hope so.

What about you? Would you buy a car that’s made in America, specifically for freedom-loving Americans, who want nothing more than to be left alone, free of the entangling web of Big Brother surveillance?

Elon Musk points to THIS video of Kamala Harris

Musk “quoted” this video on X as a warning for what her presidency would look like!

“Good afternoon. I want to welcome these leaders for coming in to have this very important discussion about some of the most pressing issues of our time,” she began.

“I am Kamala Harris. My pronouns are she and her. I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit,” she continued.

“Just awful,” is all Dave can say.

Elon Musk, who also saw the video, tweeted: “Imagine 4 years of this….”

DNC Attendees Will Have Opportunities For Free Vasectomies, Abortions

Attendees at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago will have the opportunity to receive free vasectomies and abortions blocks away from the proceedings at the United Center.

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, which operates in parts of Missouri and Illinois, will park its mobile health clinic near the DNC on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20, according to The New York Times. Medication abortions are reportedly available on both days, with vasectomies being exclusively offered Monday.

Appointments on the vasectomy vehicle are in high demand, with eager registrants forming a waitlist, according to the outlet. Those hoping to be sterilized must fill out a Google Form, providing their name, birthdate and contact information to secure their spot in line.

Appointments on the vasectomy vehicle are in high demand, with eager registrants forming a waitlist, according to the outlet. Those hoping to be sterilized must fill out a Google Form, providing their name, birthdate and contact information to secure their spot in line.

“Services will be provided on a sliding-fee scale — pay what you can and get the healthcare you need,” Planned Parenthood’s Google Form reads.

Persons seeking medication abortion can register online as well, but there is not yet a waitlist for either day, meaning they could also walk in without an appointment, according to the outlet.

Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, has been an outspoken advocate for abortion following the U.S. Supreme Court’s June 24, 2024 overturning of Roe v. Wade.

As vice president, Harris kicked off a nationwide pro-abortion tour in Wisconsin on Jan. 22, 2024, the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. She referenced abortion as one of America’s “fundamental freedoms,” according to a White House release announcing her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms.”

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are expected to speak on abortion and IVF at the DNC.

Pro-abortion groups plan to demonstrate the night before the DNC. Abortion rights activists sued Chicago in May after the city announced permits to march outside the convention would not be issued, according to ABC7 Chicago.

Among the demonstrations will be a large “inflatable IUD,” a form of birth control activists will nickname “Freeda Womb,” The New York Times reported.

Meanwhile, more than a dozen local businesses in Chicago have barricaded their windows and doors with plywood in anticipation of destructive protests outside the DNCaccording to WGN9.

The DNC is scheduled to start Monday and will end Thursday.

Supreme Court Denies White House Bid To Reinstate Part Of New Title IX Rule

The Supreme Court declined the White Houses’ emergency request to partially reinstate Biden’s new Title IX rule on Friday.

The 5-4 decision upholds lower court injunctions in nearly half of states that block a new rule that includes, for the first time, sexual orientation and gender identity in Title IX, according to the high court. The administration sought to narrow these injunctions, which prevent the enforcement of rules concerning gender identity.

The White House argued the injunctions should not obstruct the enforcement of other revised elements of Title IX, including enhanced protections for pregnant students and improved processes for handling retaliation and record-keeping, the document revealed. The court’s unsigned order stated the government did not provide adequate grounds to overturn the lower courts’ decisions, which found the disputed provisions were intertwined with other parts of the new rule.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, with three other liberal justices and conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch, wrote the dissent. Sotomayor criticized the lower courts’ injunctions as overly broad. “By blocking the Government from enforcing scores of regulations that respondents never challenged and that bear no apparent relationship to respondents’ alleged injuries, the lower courts went beyond their authority to remedy the discrete harms alleged here,” Sotomayor wrote, The Hill reported.

The decision is not the final word on the new Title IX rules, as the ongoing legal challenges will return to lower appellate courts for further review. This ongoing litigation follows a 2020 Supreme Court ruling that established protections against employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, according to The Hill.

Your children are more important than your dreams

The phenomenon known as Ballerina Farm on Instagram is one of the most popular moms in America. With her eight children, a gaggle of hogs, endless Instagram videos of baking from scratch, and her 10 million followers, Hannah Neeleman is a mom to be reckoned with. Oh, and she also wins beauty pageants like a boss. And is a Julliard-trained ballerina.

A recent article on Hannah and her husband, Daniel, threw the digital world into hysterics. A main source of outrage is that Hannah gave up her dreams of being a ballerina to be a wife and a mother. Many are also horrified that Hannah has little time to herself and sometimes works to the point of exhaustion.

Newsflash: All mothers of young children have little time to themselves and work to the point of exhaustion frequently.

Giving up dreams

But let’s get back to the ballerina thing. When Hannah put on her first pair of ballerina slippers, did her parents think, “Hallelujah! No motherhood for her! No wifehood for her! We want our daughter to remain a single, solitary soul dancing into old age wearing tutus and toe shoes forever!” Not likely.

Here’s the thing. Hannah is not alone in “giving up her dreams” to raise a family. Almost everyone does this. And it is not a shame, a tragedy, or a sign of oppression. It’s called growing up. And women are not the only ones who regularly “give up their dreams” for the sake of their families. Most men give up their boyhood dreams of becoming professional athletes to do something far less glamorous.

My dad is such a man. He was a great football player in high school. In fact, some might say he was phenomenal. The local newspapers ran stories about him, football was his life, and he seemed destined for greatness.

Then he met my mom. They got married and soon there was a baby on the way. My dad was practicing with the college football team of his dreams at the time. My dad realised there wasn’t time in the day for him to go to school, go to work, and go to practice, and nurture his marriage. So, he gave up football.

He gave up football.

He poured himself into work and school and caring for my mother, who was throwing up multiple times a day. He eventually graduated from college. My mother eventually had the baby and then had three more. One of them was me.

My parents both worked like crazy keeping our family afloat, and it floated. Barely. I had an absolutely stellar childhood full of camping trips and backyard swings and never enough money. But that last part isn’t what mattered the most. What mattered the most is that I knew my parents loved me. I knew they’d make any sacrifice for me.

My parents when they were dating, 1966

Sacred sacrifice

Parenthood is a position of sacrifice. Author and psychoanalyst Erica Komisar says parenthood comes with “the sacred obligation of nurturing.” To nurture others requires sacrifices of self. This does not mean we fail to care for ourselves or that we never pursue hobbies or do anything for fun ever again, but it does mean we offer humongous amounts of time, energy, resources, sleep, and emotional investment in the name of our children’s wellbeing.

All decent parents do this. All decent parents make sacrifices so that their children can eat, sleep in a bed, and possibly even take dance lessons or join a basketball club. Only a tiny sliver of the population will dance or play ball professionally, and even that won’t last forever. But family relationships will last — if we’re wise enough to forge them. And somehow, amid all the sacrifice, we end up the better for it.

If no one moved on from their dreams of throwing footballs or tying on their toe shoes in order to bear, raise, nurture, and support children, the world would be full of old people with bad knees, concussed heads, and empty homes. And the world would collapse in one generation because no one would have kids. There would be a whole lot of lonely has-beens out there without their own little cheering squad (these are known as families) to remember they used to be something — and to see that they still ARE something.

Pink tights and varicose veins

So, should Hannah Neeleman have rejected the marriage proposal so she could “follow her dreams?” Well, if she had, she would have had the great pleasure of pulling her pale pink ballet tights on over her varicose veins when she turned 60, without an adoring audience to laud her fading grace and beauty.

But instead, she had kids. And she’s having the time of her life raising them. And when she’s 60, she’ll be surrounded by people who exist because she exists, and those people will laugh and cry and dream and dance with her.

Hannah and her family

My dad “gave up” football, but did he? He passed his love of the game on to my brothers. He spent countless hours playing catch with them and watching their games and playing football with them and the neighbourhood boys on frosty Thanksgiving mornings. His new dream was to watch them — and me — excel not just at football, or chess, or soccer — but to excel at life. His new passion became us and my mom. That is not a tragedy. It is a triumph.

My Dad and his family

A wrecked life?

At a recent family gathering that included one of his infant great-grandsons, my dad was reflecting on walking away from football. He said,

“I’m happy I did it. It was the right choice. I know what it’s like to score a winning touchdown, but laughing with babies is better.”

If you had told the 18-year-old version of my dad that someday he’d think babies were more interesting than football, he would have laughed his head off. But the truth is, as life pushes on, we don’t just abandon our dreams; our dreams change. They mature, they grow, and they become better than we could have imagined.

Did giving up professional ballet wreck Hannah Neeleman’s life? Did giving up football wreck my dad’s life?

You decide.

Kamala Harris has a David Daleiden problem

Since Kamala Harris wrested the Democratic Party’s nomination from the grip of Joe Biden late last month, the legacy media machine has been working overtime to rebrand her into an American saviour.

Her marketers have several large hurdles to overcome, not least that the Harris-Walz ticket is the most stridently left-wing outfit ever offered to the American public.

To highlight just the contentious issue of abortion, Harris has called for Roe to be codified federally, and is the only sitting vice president to have toured an abortion mill. For his part, Tim Walz, as Governor of Minnesota, has delivered his state the most radical abortion laws in the US, with foeticide legal at all stages of pregnancy in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Perhaps no one has more effectively exposed Kamala’s enchantment with abortion as undercover journalist David Daleiden, of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP).

Undercover

In 2015, Daleiden and a colleague attended the National Abortion Federation’s commercial trade show in San Francisco while posing as laboratory wholesalers. As reported by Mercator at the time, Daleiden surreptitiously recorded conversations with a series of Planned Parenthood executives at the event who eagerly discussed the harvesting and exchange of fetal body parts. If the footage is to be believed, the babies in question were aborted late-term, with some delivered alive and mostly intact.

Instead of investigating Planned Parenthood for potential illegalities, Kamala Harris, then Attorney-General of California, launched an investigation against David Daleiden for recording confidential communications without permission, in supposed violation of the state’s Invasion of Privacy Act.

Daleiden faces eight felony charges and possible jail time in California, with his trial date set for December this year.

With Harris now at the top of the Democrat ticket, the Daleiden affair is once again trending on social media, demanding explanation from Kamala’s newsroom fan base.

AAP Factcheck came to the rescue late last week, giving a verdict of “false” to the claim that “Kamala Harris prosecuted two journalists for exposing that a US reproductive health organisation was selling aborted fetal body parts.”

As is often the case with such screeds, however, the devil is in the details, and the “fact check” is itself crying out for scrutiny.

The first paragraph describes Daleiden and his colleague not as journalists but as “journalists” — scare quotes intact. Bias much?

The second paragraph makes the technically correct observation that “multiple investigations into the nonprofit, Planned Parenthood, found no evidence it sold fetal body parts for profit”. What it fails to disclose is that the fetal tissue trade is a legal grey area in the United States.

Planned Parenthood has indeed thus far evaded any legal guilt for buying or selling fetal tissue for profit. However, the multi-billion dollar organisation luxuriously exploits a legal loophole that allows abortion providers to receive “reasonable payments” to offset the cost of acquiring, preserving, storing and transporting this valuable commodity.

The more abortions that are performed and bodies that are preserved, the more money an abortion provider can collect — and many providers offer bonuses to their technicians that are pegged to these metrics because of the financial windfalls involved.

All of this information, conveniently ignored by AAP Factcheck, is essential in comprehending the giddy glee of the women who made Daleiden’s acquaintance at that fateful trade show.

What else was AAP Factcheck hiding?

Vendetta

In the third paragraph, we read that “while Ms Harris was California’s Attorney-General when a probe was announced into the actions of two anti-abortion activists, she had left the post by the time they were charged”.

Relevance? Zero. It was Kamala Harris as AG who opened the investigation against Daleiden, and her office’s legal pursuit of the whistleblower persisted until — and beyond — her election to the US Senate. Her investigation saw 11 armed agents raid Daleiden’s apartment armed with rifles and K-9 dogs in order to seize all of his undercover footage.

Consider a few other facts that AAP Factcheck failed to disclose, but that were covered by the New York Post:

  • Daleiden’s case is one of the first times the California AG’s office has ever launched a stand-alone prosecution involving the state’s video-recording law, according to the defendant’s lawyers.
  • Daleiden’s lawyers also contend that Kamala Harris singled Daleiden out to “do the bidding of Planned Parenthood”, who have contributed heavily to her campaigns for office. They believe it was “a selective prosecution for huge donors”.
  • Planned Parenthood executives in California had arranged for in-person meetings with Kamala Harris about the videos, according to letters obtained from court documents.
  • During her 2016 Senate bid, Harris enjoyed Planned Parenthood’s endorsement, all the while overseeing Daleiden’s investigation, including authorising the raid on his home.
  • Once Kamala Harris was elected to the Senate, she hired Lily Adams, the daughter of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, to be one of her top aides.
  • Several months after the investigation was launched, the LA Times editorial board called the criminal charges against Daleiden a “disturbing overreach” by the AG’s office.
  • When one of the Planned Parenthood executives recorded by Daleiden made a complaint to the Los Angeles Police Department, the LAPD refused to take the case, saying the taping had been done in a public place where many could hear the conversation.

Consider this vital context while watching the new video footage recently released by David Daleiden.

Kamala Harris might have the mainstream media’s might behind her, but the truth may not be as enthusiastic an ally.

It is doubtful that most Americans would be thrilled to learn about her cosy relationship with Planned Parenthood and her callous disregard for the harvesting and peddling of unborn baby body parts.

Whether they will ever be told about it is another matter entirely.

Poll: Do Americans Really Care about where Companies Stand Politically?

A recent Gallup poll revealed only 38% percent of American adults “want businesses to take a stance on current events.” The remaining majority, however, would prefer corporations to stay quiet on their beliefs.

After several years of political madness, society has witnessed waves of boycotts from the Left and the Right. For instance, many conservatives and Christians have chosen to stray from doing business with organizations such as Bud Light, Target, Starbucks, and others, that unabashedly promote LGBT ideology. The same is true on the opposite side of the spectrum, as pro-Palestinian groups that support Hamas have chosen to boycott organizations with Israeli ties.

But notably, the poll, which measured the opinions of 5,835 people, found that “nearly all age groups, genders, races, and partisan groups” were represented in those who felt corporations should keep their political views to themselves. The groups that most strongly felt otherwise included Democrats, black adults, and those who promote LGBT ideology.

The question is: why is this the case? Is it possible consumers are tired of having to pick and choose where they buy a cup of coffee? Or could it simply be that the American people don’t want to associate everyday shopping with a particular worldview? To help give possible explanations to these questions, Family Research Council’s Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview David Closson commented to The Washington Stand.

“We live in incredibly hyper-politicized times,” he stated. “For the last several years, it seems that politics has exploded onto the headlines, and one can’t navigate through the public square without being forced to confront the latest cultural or social issue.” As such, Closson noted he’s “not at all surprised that Americans are expressing to pollsters the fact that they are utterly exhausted” to be faced with politics 24/7.

According to Closson, there are times when political engagement within an everyday shopping experience is justified. For instance, “The backlash against Bud Light and Target for their aggressive LGBT activism” had a purpose. Considering that many of the leftist companies faced severe drops in sales, it’s now obvious that the boycotts “sent a warning shot across the bow to many corporations that tens of millions of Christians were tired of having a moral agenda shoved down their throat that was not congruent with their biblical worldview.”

In the broad analysis, it stands to reason that Christians aren’t the only ones to be “getting tired of the constant, frantic political news cycle” that’s seemingly impossible “to extricate ourselves from.” However, arguably, Christians do face a unique dilemma when it comes to the political stance of an organization. As Closson emphasized, “Fundamentally, Christians are called to be good stewards” — a call applicable to both our time and resources.

However, from Closson’s perspective, “Christians should be good stewards with everything God has entrusted us with, which would include our consumer habits.” He continued, “When Target was putting chest-binders in swimsuits for those who identify as transgender on the very front display rack, I do believe Christians have an obligation not to support companies that so flagrantly and blatantly disregard traditional biblical ethic.”

Ultimately, in a fallen world, Christians will never be truly free of businesses that reflect anti-biblical beliefs. But that doesn’t mean, as Closson contended, that we should “worry about every little detail” and rob ourselves of joy. “Some of these large companies do our homework for us by virtue signaling and seemingly taking every step possible to let us know where they stand on the moral issues of our day.” And “when an organization, company, or business tells you what they believe on certain hot button issues, it’s appropriate for Christians to take them at their word.”

Closson concluded that when it comes to these matters, “Wisdom is needed.”

Planned Parenthood Came from the ‘Same Racist, Elitist Pseudoscience that Birthed the Holocaust’: Expert

In an article published on the Ohio State Senate’s website, Michele Reynolds wrote, “Abortion is killing the black community.” Abortion “is not health care,” it “is extermination.” And Reynolds is right — this industry is not only murderous, but its origins are inherently racist.

Margaret Sanger, the founder of the infamous abortion hub Planned Parenthood, was an open believer in eugenics, which is the theory that “humans can be improved through selective breeding of populations.” When Sanger put her “birth control” plan into action, she had her eyes set on decreasing the amount of black people that walked the earth. And interestingly enough, Planned Parenthood does not hide this disturbing history.

On its website, the organization provides a multi-paragraph explanation of its history, including the details of Sanger’s “harmful” vision. “Margaret Sanger’s racism and belief in eugenics are in direct opposition to Planned Parenthood’s mission,” the abortion group concluded. “Planned Parenthood denounces Margaret Sanger’s belief in eugenics. Further, Planned Parenthood denounces the history and legacy of anti-Blackness in gynecology and the reproductive rights movement.”

But the reality is, these claims can only be described as pure lip service. Only a brief overview of modern statistics proves that Planned Parenthood, for all intents and purposes, is still discriminatory to its core.

As guest host and former Congressman Jody Hice said on Tuesday’s episode of “Washington Watch,” Planned Parenthood is “obviously trying to run from their racist roots.” Ryan Bomberger, co-founder and chief creative officer of the Radiance Foundation, agreed. “Well, sure,” he said, “they can try to run, but they can’t change their DNA.” But even beyond their inability to alter the foundation upon which they were built, Bomberger argued that this baby-victimizing organization has no interest in changing their DNA.

As if murdering babies of any ethnicity wasn’t enough, a policy report published by the Center for Urban Renewal and Education highlighted data from a 2011 report that found “black women make up 14 percent of the childbearing population, yet obtained 36.2 percent of reported abortions.” Additionally, “Percentages at these levels illustrate that more than 19 million black babies have been aborted since 1973.” And yet, the statistics only get increasingly bleak.

The research emphasized that an analysis of “abortion by ethnicity” confirms “black women disproportionately lead in the numbers.” For example, “in Mississippi, 79 percent of abortions are obtained by black women; in Washington, D.C., more than 60 percent; in Georgia, 59.4 percent; in Alabama, 58.4 percent.” And “in state after state, similar numbers are found, with black women aborting at two, three or more times their presence in the population.”

These details, the report contended, are but a small fraction of evidence that points to a startling reality: “In the 1850s, it was the black slave who sought freedom and equal protection under the law. Today it is the unborn child.”

Bomberger did not hold back any punches. Planned Parenthood, he urged, was “birthed out of the same racist, elitist pseudoscience that birthed the Holocaust, which is called eugenics,” and “they can’t run away from that.” While they like to pretend they’re different from the days of their founder, “They’re actually worse now … [with] over 360,000 [babies] every year killed by Planned Parenthood.”

Needless to say, “The origins of Planned Parenthood are rooted in this mindset that certain people didn’t deserve to live,” Bomberger said. In the early days of the rising push for abortion, those who were considered “unfit,” such as children conceived out of wedlock and poor black communities, were the primary target. But “today,” he stated, “it’s abortion on demand, where literally abortion is the number one killer in the black community. It kills more black lives in two weeks than the KKK killed in a century. That’s the reality.”

“That’s stunning,” Hice stated. “I would imagine there [are] many women who may not know about Planned Parenthood’s origin.” As such, he added, “How can we get this out?” Because “people need to know.” In response, Bomberger explained that Radiance Foundation started “with a billboard campaign that called out the insane and inherent racism in the abortion industry.” Their journey of uncovering the racism in the abortion industry began by calling out the falsehoods that abortion giants promote. “Planned Parenthood and these Planned Parenthood-funded minority groups are trying to say [that] ‘abortions are [an] uplift out of poverty. Abortion is equality. It’s our empowerment.’” However, as Bomberger went on to ask, “How is any community empowered by killing its posterity?”

The truth is, “[A]bortion, no matter the color [of the baby], is devastating and wrong and so tragic.” But these abortion hubs are pushing the notion that there needs to be “more abortions in the black community.” And what people don’t realize, Bomberger urged, is that “Planned Parenthood brags … about how black people are their base,” and it “touts itself as an anti-racism organization.” But when all is said and done, “How can you be anti-racism when you’re the leading killer of black lives?” It just “goes to show the fraud of the anti-racism movement.”

It “is incredible information” to take in, Hice shook his head. But it begs the question, what about “black Christians who have accepted abortion as just simply part of the package when it comes to supporting Democrats?” Additionally, how do we respond to “the preachers who are more Democrat[ic] than they are gospel preachers when it comes to standing up for the unborn?”

According to Bomberger, “[T]he dissonance is just unbelievable.” He elaborated, “[Y]ou’ve got the Democratic Party, which is the party of slavery, the party that went to war for slavery, the party of Jim Crow, the party of poll taxes and literacy tests — all the Jim Crow policies.” This is also “the same party today that is pushing unlimited abortion in the black community.” As such, he said, “What I say to those pastors” is that they need to “wake up.” Abortion is nothing other than “having lives made in the image of God destroyed under the name of some fake sort of equality [and] fake sort of reproductive justice.”

Ultimately, “[T]he only justice that pastors or … any other Christian … should be concerned with is biblical justice. And it’s not biblical justice to slaughter our unborn and to have women exploited by a multi-billion dollar abortion industry.”

So, Hice asked, where’s the encouragement in all this? As Bomberger put it, the encouragement buried in the grim facts is that “we’re seeing an awakening by pastors being bold and actually speaking out about this.” It’s not necessarily a “seismic shift, but even if it’s a handful of people here and a handful of people there, it’s a victory.” And as Hice noted, every movement “starts with a few.”

Bomberger agreed, and he concluded that what he wants to impart to people is this: “Have hope. Because when you are awakened, when you understand the truth, you have clarity and context. And it sets people free.”

10 Things to Look For in Next Week’s Democratic Party Convention

As the Democratic National Convention meets next week, Kamala Harris hopes it will be an opportunity to recast herself as a moderate. Harris has launched “a highly choreographed effort to define herself — in some cases, redefine herself — as a different kind of Democrat,” insiders have told Axios. “Harris won’t say it this bluntly in public, but her advisers do so privately: She wants to break with Biden on issues on which he’s unpopular.” Her campaign hopes next week’s DNC will be the new Harris’s coming out party.

Yet Kamala’s chrysalis faces headwinds within her own party. Last month, the Democratic Party released a draft of its 2024 platform which, like all platforms, reflects a political party’s long-term aspirational plans to reshape the nation. The 2024 platform contains numerous extreme policies that should concern Americans of all backgrounds, especially people of faith. The real test of the vice president’s would-be transformation comes down to a simple question: Can she stand up against her party on these issues?

  1. Will Harris ‘Protect’ Transgender Surgeries for Minors and Place Boys in Girls’ Showers?

The draft of the 2024 Democratic Party platform touts the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts “to address discriminatory legislative attacks against LGBTQI+ children” and “safeguard health care.” It contrasts this to President Donald Trump’s “extreme plan to punish doctors who treat transgender youth and to ban gender-affirming care” for kids.

This refers to roughly half of all U.S. states which have passed versions of the Save Adolescents From Experimentation (SAFE) Act. These commonsense protections shield minors from potentially-sterilizing puberty blockers (which were never intended to suppress healthy puberty), cross-sex hormones, and surgeries that remove the healthy breasts and reproductive organs of minors. Think of Kayla Lovdahl, who is now suing the doctors who allowed the adolescent to undergo a life-altering double mastectomy at the age of 13. While the White House has suddenly backed away from surgeries for minors during this campaign season, at least publicly, the Democratic Party remains committed to giving Planned Parenthood and other pillars of the multi-billion-dollar transgender industry the green light to carry out so-called “gender-affirming care,” with all its permanent and irreversible effects, on minors whose brains have not yet fully developed — minors whom the law bars from getting a tattoo or smoking a cigarette, because they do not understand the long-term implications of those choices.

The draft platform also commits to “guaranteeing that transgender students are treated fairly and with respect at school” and “keeping students safe on campus by restoring and strengthening protections under Title IX.” The Biden-Harris administration’s audacious rewriting of the landmark civil rights legislation blatantly violates its intention to establish and protect women’s spaces by prying open the doors of girls’ showers, locker rooms, and dorm rooms to trans-identifying males.

Think of the 11-year-old girl whom teachers ordered to share a bed with a boy on an overnight field trip. Rather than listen to her parents, the administration has even threatened to withhold federally-funded school lunches from poor children unless their school districts knuckle under to its executive decrees.

No wonder these policies are unpopular. Strong majorities oppose transgender procedures for adolescents. A total of 55% of Americans believe “changing one’s gender” is immoral, according to a 2023 Gallup poll. A majority of multiracial (53%), Hispanic (52%), and white Americans (51%), as well as half of black Americans (50%) oppose placing males of any age in areas where females disrobe.

The platform also promises to “prioritize the investigation of hate crimes against trans and non-binary people.” All crime is hate crime, rooted in a hatred of a God-given order that upholds the right to life. Yet prosecuting alleged “hate crimes” threatens free speech and serves as another avenue for the government to weaponize federal agencies against American citizens who uphold biblical morality.

The platform also vows to “ban so-called ‘conversion therapy.’” Despite the scare wording, “conversion therapy” consists of compassionate conversations aimed at helping people (many of whom were molested) fulfill their desire to embrace their birth gender. Respecting medical professionals’ freedom of speech to enable children to live happier lives should be easy for a campaign that has oriented itself around “joy” and “freedom.”

  1. Will Harris Stop ‘Fighting’ Parents Trying to Keep Porn out of Schools?

If Kamala Harris wishes to appear as a centrist, she could begin by standing up against her party’s war on parents. In addition to transgender surgeries, the Democratic platform dedicates the full resources of the federal government to “fighting book bans that censor LGBTQI+ content.” President Donald Trump and his “MAGA allies are ripping away our bedrock personal freedoms, dictating what health care decisions women can make, banning books, and telling people who they can love,” says the first page of the 80-page document. These alleged “book bans” simply seek to place books with graphic sexual content in an age-restricted portion of the library. Many of these books contain graphic, cartoon-like depictions of sodomy, as well as wistfully-positive descriptions and depictions of child molestation.

  1. Will Harris Stop Backing Taxpayer-Funded Abortion until Birth?

The draft platform promises to nationalize taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand. “With a Democratic Congress, we will pass national legislation to make Roe the law of the land again,” states the platform. “We will repeal the Hyde Amendment,” the federal law dating back to the mid-1970s that protects pro-life Americans from seeing their salaries pay for most abortions.

Democrats promise a national abortion expansion, funded by pro-life taxpayers. Nearly two-thirds (60%) of U.S. voters oppose funding abortion in the United States, such as the $1.89 billion abortion businesses received from taxpayers over just three years, according to a Marist poll. Wouldn’t a moderate want to appeal to two-thirds of voters?

  1. Will Harris Crush Christians’ Conscience Rights?

The Democratic Party draft platform threatens Christian conscience rights in one small sentence: “Democrats will pass the Equality Act to codify protections for LGBTQI+ Americans.” The Equality Act would force Christian businesses to hire people who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ by adding sexual orientation (and in some drafts, gender identity) to civil rights legislation. It could potentially impose a quota for such hiring practices, despite the owners’ biblical moral convictions. Heavy fines and federal prosecution such as the kind suffered by Masterpieces Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, would follow.

  1. Will Harris Oppose Taxpayer-Funded Transgenderism in Prison?

The 2024 draft platform states, “We will guarantee access to medical care in prison.” Since the federal government already provides health care in prisons, the platform means the Biden-Harris administration’s commitments to furnishing taxpayer-funded transgender hormones and surgeries to prisoners — and the administration has committed to housing inmates who identify as transgender in the opposite sex’s prisons, triggering an atmosphere of rape, sexual assault, intimidation, and physical abuse. This seems particularly relevant in a platform that touts the “National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence.”

  1. Will Harris Add Up to Six States to the United States?

“We unequivocally support statehood for D.C.,” reads the platform. “Democrats support self-determination for Puerto Rico. … Democrats also support self-determination for the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa. We will create a Congressional task force to study equal voting rights and House representation.”

Unable to win elective office or pass sweeping national legislation, self-styled progressives have turned to remaking the electorate, changing constitutional offices, and fundamentally transforming America. In addition to remaking the Supreme Court and granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, some propose adding new states to the union. These liberal-leaning states would each add two new U.S. senators and at least one representative to Congress, tilting the balance in a socialistic direction.

  1. Will Harris Double Down on Open Borders?

The Biden-Harris administration has presided over a historic number of illegal entries at the southern border, fueled by promises that they may receive “free” health care and the most valued benefit: U.S. citizenship. Yet the draft platform promises to “provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and others,” boasts of Biden-Harris actions to “expand legal pathways to citizenship,” and commits to “supporting a pathway for long-term undocumented individuals.” It brags that the administration “has extended Affordable Care Act coverage to DACA recipients.” Lest the point be missed, the platform demands, “Congress must pass legislation to provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, farmworkers, careworkers, and other long-term undocumented individuals.”

The platform poses as tough on crime, stating agents have “arrested more individuals for fentanyl-related crimes in the last two years than in the previous five years combined.” That may indicate increased enforcement; it may also indicate a massive increase in fentanyl trafficking, crimes and overdoses under Harris’s watch. As it turns out, the Biden-Harris administration clarifies which it is: “fentanyl seizures have increased more than 860% from fiscal years 2019-2023, and fentanyl seizures nearly doubled from fiscal years 2022-2023,” reports the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

It also vows to increase competition for U.S. jobs. “Congress must act to increase the number of family-sponsored and employment-based immigrant visas that are available each fiscal year so that people aren’t forced to wait decades,” it states.

  1. The Democratic Party Promises to Literally Ban Speech.

The draft 2024 Democratic platform contains an odd proposal that would literally ban speech. “We will also ban voice impersonations,” states the platform in its section on artificial intelligence. It is not clear how this would square with the First Amendment.

The section adds that, since “AI can deepen discrimination,” the platform commits to “combating algorithmic discrimination.” The clearest example of such discrimination came when Google’s AI platform depicted George Washington and other Founding Fathers exclusively as black men.

  1. Is ‘Nothing More Important’ than Climate Change?

“[T]here is nothing more important than addressing the climate crisis,” states the platform.

  1. Will Harris End the Lies and Incitement about President Donald Trump?

In a fallen world, lies are the lingua franca of politics. Yet the 2024 draft platform distinguishes itself in this regard. “Trump called members of the military who died in war ‘suckers’ and ‘losers.’ He disparages the brave men and women who wear our uniform and protect our democracy and national security,” it says. The platform recycles the “suckers” and “losers” lie twice. “He called white supremacist and openly-antisemitic Charlottesville protesters ‘very fine people.’”

The platform continues to present potentially inciting language against the president:

“Trump is a greater danger to democracy than ever. … After years undermining public faith and confidence in our elections, he has warned of a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses now. … . He has vowed to weaponize our government to go after his enemies and benefit his allies. … And to silence his critics, he suggested the ‘termination’ of our Constitution. There is no more profound threat to the soul of our nation.”

The draft platform was released on July 13 — the same day that Thomas Matthew Crooks came within a fraction of an inch of assassinating President Donald Trump. Yet the Harris campaign has doubled down on the issue. “To a crowd of 12,000 in Las Vegas, Harris says Trump is a threat to democracy,” reported NPR. At a campaign stop earlier this month in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the vice president continued to beat the drum and “pointed to his vow to be a dictator ‘on day one’, his threats to weaponize the Justice Department against his political enemies and his 2022 comment demanding the ‘termination’ of constitutional provisions over his 2020 election defeat.”

If Harris hopes to remake herself as a moderate, she should pivot on all of these issues. Even fellow Democrats know that whether voters will buy her distancing from her own positions of years past, and her administration’s accomplishments, is another story.

“Are you aware this is the Biden-Harris administration?” asked White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday.

Draft Dem Platform Vows to Keep ‘Fighting’ Parents over Porn and Promotes Abortion, Trans ‘Care’

The Democratic National Convention meets next week to nominate Kamala Harris for president, drawing renewed scrutiny to the party’s platform. Last month, the Democratic Party released a draft of its 2024 platform that vows to nationalize abortion-on-demand across all 50 states, support taxpayer-funded abortion, protect the predatory transgender industry, and continue “fighting” against parents who seek to keep pornography out of their children’s school libraries.

The draft platform, released on July 13, places a high premium on abortion and extreme gender ideology. “The word abortion is mentioned 13 times. [The concept of] reproductive rights is mentioned 14 more times. The term LGBTQI+ is mentioned 35 times. Climate change, or climate in the context of climate change, occurs over 70 times,” said Brent Keilen, vice president for Strategic Initiatives at the Family Research Council, on Tuesday’s episode of “Washington Watch.”

“But I could not find one mention of the word God in the platform draft,” noted Keilen. “I also couldn’t find one mention of the word Christian.”

The draft platform, clearly drafted under the assumption Joe Biden would be the presidential nominee, states:

“With a Democratic Congress, we will pass national legislation to make Roe [v. Wade] the law of the land again. … We will repeal the Hyde Amendment. And in his second term, President Biden will continue to support access to FDA-approved medication abortion, appoint leaders at the FDA who respect science and appoint judges who uphold fundamental freedoms.”

The document boasts of the Biden-Harris administration’s executive branch actions to distribute the abortion pill in local pharmacies and compelling taxpayers to fund abortions for currently enlisted military women and veterans, which Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby called America’s “foundational sacred obligation.”

“Democrats will fight to make the Equal Rights Amendment the law of the land,” although the never-ratified ERA has been interpreted to codify both a constitutional right to abortion and women’s eligibility for the military draft.

That vision conflicts with the Republican platform, and numerous Republican spokespeople, who have begun “promoting [the right to life] as a states’ rights issue. The Democrat[ic] Party platform draft does not list that as their position. It does not want states to even have the ability to protect life in any form or fashion. It actually goes after the states who have instituted any type of pro-life laws since the Dobbs decision,” said Keilen. “They leave nothing to guess about where they stand, what they want to see passed.”

“The Democrats are going to make this a federal issue and force it upon states, and the Republicans need to wake up to that reality,” agreed former Congressman Jody Hice, the guest host of “Washington Watch.”

A future Kamala Harris administration could continue nationalizing the fight against concerned parents, as well. The draft 2024 Democratic Party platform pledges to keep “fighting book bans that censor LGBTQI+ content,” by which they mean parents’ attempts to place graphic novels containing graphic depictions of sodomy in an age-protected part of the library.

“We’ve seen the parental rights issue become a really big issue over the last few years. The platform does talk about parents, but never really in the context of parental rights and wanting to make sure that those are safeguarded,” said Keilen.

The platform also takes aim at laws such as the SAFE Act, which protects minors from experimental treatments, transgender surgeries, and sterilizing hormonal injections. Trump “and his MAGA Republican allies have pushed a tidal wave of extreme anti-LGBTQI+ bills in statehouses across the country,” it states.

The Biden-Harris administration, it boasts, “protected transgender Americans’ access to health care and coverage including gender-affirming care” and is “combating the dangerous and cruel practice of so-called ‘conversion therapy,’” the platform continues. It also blasts President Donald “Trump’s un-American ban on transgender servicemembers.”

The draft platform also mentions the Biden-Harris commitment to fighting “hate crimes,” noting, “The Justice Department is taking an all-of-department approach to protecting LGBTQI+ rights.”

“LGBTQI+ Americans continue to inspire and bring hope to all people,” asserts the platform.

The draft touts Biden’s signature of the so-called “Respect for Marriage” Act, a sweeping piece of federal legislation requiring all states to recognize a marriage license issued in any other state, effectively imposing same-sex marriage nationwide. The DNC also pledges to “make federally-funded seniors programs LGBTQI+ inclusive.”

Faith is muted in the 2024 draft platform, which nevertheless mentions a few worldviews. The section on freedom of religion notes the Biden-Harris administration’s actions to combat anti-Semitism and “Islamophobia.”

The Democratic Party platform makes no specific mention of, or promise to, faithful Christians.

The section contains one generic statement that “Democrats will protect the First Amendment right to free exercise of religion for everyone, and we will maintain the separation of church and state.” The reference to “separation of church and state” is the only time the platform uses the word “church.”

The situation seems reminiscent of 2012, when conservative critics noted that Barack Obama’s reelection platform did not contain the word “God.” Ultimately, the Democratic National Committee resorted to unpopular procedural means to reinsert the Creator of the Universe into the platform, drawing boos from party delegates. “It looks like maybe we’ll be seeing the same thing play out this year,” Keilen told Hice on Tuesday.

Both parties have gradually secularized their pitch to voters, whom polls show are less committed to faith and church attendance than at any time in modern history. “Even the Republican platform basically reduced God to an adjective that’s only mentioned a couple of times,” noted Hice. “So, on both sides, that’s pretty alarming.”

Despite the fact that the 80-page draft Democratic Party platform leans heavily into social issues, the DNC’s press release mentioned the party’s position on abortion in only one sentence, saying Democrats “will pass a law codifying” Roe v. Wade (which is mentioned twice) “and support access to FDA-approved medication [e.g., chemical] abortion.”

The Democratic National Committee contrasted its platform adoption with the narrow, stifling, controlled process that watered down the GOP’s historic commitment to protect life at the 2024 Republican National Committee in Milwaukee. (This author interviewed multiple people present at the meeting; you can read the article here.) “Donald Trump and the RNC crafted an extreme MAGA Platform behind closed doors,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “Our Drafting Committee incorporated a diverse set of expertise and perspectives, inviting Democrats from across the nation to participate in our process and contribute to our Platform. The breadth and depth of this Platform is rooted in our collective experience and reflects a bold agenda that affirms Democrats’ commitment to protecting fundamental freedoms.”

The two competing national platforms show one party dedicated to making abortion an integral part of America’s national covenant, while the other party endorses the notion of protecting life in some instances.

“The contrast couldn’t be clearer,” said Harrison.

Watch: 2019 CNN ‘climate town hall’: Kamala Harris pushed ‘carbon fee’ that may be ‘passed on to consumers’ to fight ‘climate change’ & promote ‘environmental justice’

Then Democratic candidate for president Kamala Harris on CNN’s climate townhall September 4, 2019:

Harris September 4, 2019 in CNN Climate Townhall: “There has to be some connection between the fee and bad behaviors. We have to monitor whether it’s going to be passed on to consumers. But I’m going to tell you that should never be the reason not to, to actually put a fee and as in particular a carbon fee. And under my plan, there will also be a carbon fee. And that money, a lot of it is going to go to the communities, and this is part of my environmental justice approach to the issue.

What happened during CNN’s climate town hall and what it means for 2020

CNN: Kamala Harris: What she said:

The senator from California made the first big, bold intervention of the night, vowing to abolish the Senate filibuster if Republicans refuse to cooperate to pass a Green New Deal. And previewing another controversial sweep of executive power, Harris pledged to indulge her prosecutorial instincts to tell the Justice Department to go after oil and gas firms. She warned that while Trump tweets with one hand, he’s gutting environmental regulations with the other.

The takeaway:

Harris needs to force herself into the top tier of Democrats. She needs liberals to warm to her and Americans to see her as a president. So she projected daring, decisiveness and commander-in-chief-scale empathy to a man who lost his home to forest fires. She blasted Trump to show she could take him on.

“Leaders need to lead. I am prepared when elected to lead,” Harris promised.

Supporters will think that her zestfulness leapt off the screen. A critic might wonder how a President Harris could live up to her big promises.

Marxism, Gnosticism, and Transgenderism

Globalism is a replacement ideology that seeks to reorder the world into one singular, planetary Unistate, ruled by the globalist elite. The globalist war on nation-states cannot succeed without collapsing the United States of America. The long-term strategic attack plan moves America incrementally from constitutional republic to socialism to globalism to feudalism. The tactical attack plan uses asymmetric psychological and informational warfare to destabilize Americans and drive society out of objective reality into the madness of subjective reality. America’s children are the primary target of the globalist predators.

If “liberation is a destructive lie,” as James Lindsay stated at the end of Chapter 30, what is the truth? Lindsay offers an incisive analysis in this summary of The New Discourses Podcast, Ep. 61, The Gnostic Temptation:[i]

Why are Gnostic cults so tempting? Why do people get sucked into them? It’s not because Gnostics go around telling people they’re wrong. It’s because they go around telling people they’re limited. Your beliefs, maybe in science, spirituality, Christianity, politics, or whatever, aren’t wrong; they’re low-level. The Gnostics hold themselves out as people who know more about whatever you’re into than you do, and they explain their superiority as being “liberated” from the limitations “THEY” (your teachers, pastors, etc.) are placing upon your knowledge. They don’t want you to know these secrets, but we do. That’s the Gnostic temptation.

So, “liberation” is presented as transcending one’s mortal limitations, including one’s own physical body. Understanding the gnostic roots of transgenderism is essential for understanding Marxist political exploitation and its implications for the modern trans movements. One of Gnosticism’s core beliefs is its dualistic worldview. Adam Drakos’s January 17, 2022, article on Thinking West, “The Gnostic Roots of the Trans Movement,”[ii] explains the importance of understanding this duality:

Gnostics viewed the physical world as inherently flawed or even evil and claimed that the material universe was created by a lesser divinity known as the demiurge. During creation, bits of divinity were mixed in along with tainted material, and Christ undertook the mission to re-order this chaos. Therefore, the spirit of the supreme God entered into the shell of a man’s body to remedy the situation and help believers reach gnosis—the revelation of man’s true divine nature. In the gnostic view, what defines personhood is not the union of spirit and body (the traditional Christian view), but a divine spirit which merely occupies a physical body.…

Transgender ideology stems from the dualist philosophy of the Gnostics. In transgenderism, a person’s feelings and beliefs about their identity reveal their “true” self, while the physical reality of their genitals or hormones can be false. If a person believes themselves to be a female despite having male reproductive organs, the will wins out, not the material reality. Whether the adherents understand or not, they are promoting a dualist interpretation of the cosmos. There is the spiritual “real” (divine) world of the mind which cannot be wrong, and then there is the physical (fallen) world of material, which can be mistaken if it conflicts with the reality created in the mind.

Like its gnostic roots, transgender ideology is in direct opposition to Christian beliefs, which firmly state that mankind was created by God as a union between spirit and body. Though subordinate to the spirit, the body is intrinsic to a person’s identity, hence the importance of the “resurrection of the body” referenced in the Apostle’s Creed. The Creed affirms the goodness of God’s physical creation and rejects the idea that salvation is gnosis or any other merely esoteric transformation or enlightenment.

The notable New Testament theologian N. T. Wright voices a similar observation:

The confusion about gender identity is a modern, and now internet-fueled, form of the ancient philosophy of Gnosticism. The Gnostic, one who “knows”, has discovered the secret of “who I really am”, behind the deceptive outward appearance.… This involves denying the goodness, or even the ultimate reality, of the natural world. (London Times)

Denying biological reality is a central tenet of trans movements and, like transgenderism, denying reality has a political purpose. Drakos continues:

Like transgenderism, much of transhumanist thought is rooted in Gnosticism. Although there are various strains of transhumanist thought, many adherents seek to augment or transcend natural human evolution. Transhumanists believe that our future as a species is dependent on furthering our evolutionary process through the aid of modern science or technology. One common though far-fetched belief is that one day we will be able to upload human consciousness into a computer, freeing humans from the bonds of physicality and allowing people to process information faster and have unlimited access to the “cloud” of information.

In this scenario “consciousness” can be viewed as synonymous with the “divine spirit” central to Gnosticism. Transhumanists assume that only consciousness is fundamental to a person’s identity, and that the body is merely a receptacle to house consciousness. Once consciousness is uploaded into a machine, the person will now be in the machine. This of course suffers from the same fallacy as transgender ideology and Gnosticism: that our bodies are unimportant to our identity and only the spirit/consciousness is of ultimate value.

Transhumanism is no longer a “far-fetched” belief; it is a central feature of globalism’s megalomaniacal campaign for world domination. The World Economic Forum (WEF) and its members are unapologetic in their gnostic beliefs and elitist plans for one-world governance in their planetary managerial Unistate.

If transhumanism is the aspiration of life in globalism’s Unistate, how will Americans be persuaded to accept it? First, we must remember that globalism’s War on America is a war of attrition. The older generation of patriotic seniors is dying. Their children’s generation of indoctrinated millennials is transitional. It is the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that are the ultimate target of the globalist predators. Let’s review their strategy.

The Marxist Cultural Revolution in America is the philosophical battle between objective reality (facts) and subjective reality (feelings) discussed in Chapter 1. From a tactical point of view, educational brainwashing is begun as early as possible, because the younger the child, the less the necessity for reeducation.

Our constitutional republic is rooted in the Western philosophy of realism, the view that there is a reality independent of any beliefs or perceptions. Anti-realism is the belief that reality is a matter of perception, that reality exists only in the mind. It is the philosophical foundation for Marxist critical pedagogy, which uses the Hegelian dialectical process to reject objective reality and embrace subjective reality.

Bertrand Russell’s infamous quote about weaponizing education to make children believe that snow is black is being implemented in American schools across the country today. It is a weapon of mass cultural destruction, an assault on reality—the final frontier.

When children believe that snow is black, they have rejected objective reality, embraced subjective reality, and are now successfully brainwashed. They are primed for gnostic perceptions of reality that include the vision that the only way to achieve true freedom is to escape from the human body. The gnostic roots of transgenderism are evident in the dualism of the transgender narrative: people’s “feelings” about their identity reveal their “true” self. The physical reality—chromosomes, genitalia, and hormones—is a “false” self.

Dr. Miriam Grossman is a 21st-century maverick in child psychiatry, attempting to help children cope with the dangerous ideas they are being indoctrinated with. Her extraordinary book, Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness,[iii] was released in July 2023. It is an unflinching look at the madness of the trans movement and the politicization of medicine. Her thesis is straightforward and unapologetic:

The beliefs that male and female are human inventions; that the sex of a newborn is arbitrarily “assigned”; and that as a result the child requires “affirmation” through medical interventions—these ideas are divorced from reality and therefore hazardous, especially to children. The core belief—that biology can and should be denied—is a repudiation of reality and a mockery of what hard science teaches about being male and female.

Dr. Grossman speaks with passion and disgust about the horrific effects of the trans movement, and helps parents hold on to objective reality in order to protect their children’s developing ability to reality-test and oppose trans educational indoctrination:

My profession captured. My colleagues spineless. Educators corrupted. Children sacrificed. Families destroyed. Civilization dismantled. Fighting Gender Ideology for Over a Decade. No child is born in the wrong body, their bodies are just fine; it’s their emotional lives that need healing.

Paul McHugh, MD, Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Chapter 27), endorses Dr. Grossman’s book on her website. “You’ve become a household name here at Hopkins psychiatry as the best contemporary example of a good doctor who notices what is happening around her and to her patients and strives to do something about it.

Johns Hopkins University was the first medical facility in the United States to perform sex reassignment surgeries. Dr. McHugh, with colleague statistician Dr. Lawrence Mayer, conducted a study examining the “born this way” claims of the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community. The 2016 report, Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences,”[iv] is discussed in an article by Louis DeBroux published in The Patriot Post on August 25, 2016, “‘Born This Way’? New Study Debunks LGBT Claims”:[v]

Among the political Left, it is an accepted fact (“settled science,” you might say) that homosexuals and transgendered people are “born that way”, that their sexual attractions or gender identities are not the product of choice, but a matter of genetics. A new report, instantly controversial, torpedoes that understanding of homosexuality and gender dysphoria (the medical term for transgenderism).

The report, entitled Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences, is co-authored by two of the most well respected experts on mental health and human sexuality; Dr. Paul McHugh, described as “arguably the most important American psychiatrist of the last half century”, is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and served for 25 years as Psychiatrist-in-Chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital; and Dr. Lawrence Mayer, Psychiatry Department scholar-in-residence at Johns Hopkins University, is a professor of statistics and biostatistics at Arizona State University.

While, not surprisingly, many on the Left and in the LGBT “community” immediately raged against the report as anti-LGBT, it should be noted that Johns Hopkins University was the first medical facility in the U.S. to perform sex reassignment surgery, and did so for a period spanning decades until a growing body of peer-reviewed studies, including an analysis of how Hopkins’ own transgendered patients fared over time, led the hospital to end those types of surgeries. Furthermore, McHugh is no far right-wing ideologue or Bible-thumper, he is a self-described “politically liberal” Democrat.

Yet it was his long-term experience with patients who suffer from gender dysphoria that led him to his conclusions, summarized in a report which analyzed more than 200 peer reviewed studies. McHugh and Mayer are also very up front about what the science does and does not show, and freely admit the gaps in the available research, which they argue underscores the need for more research before establishing medical standards, public policy guidelines, and laws, based on “settled science” which is not at all settled.…

One of the most shocking findings in the report is that not only do people who suffer from gender dysphoria experience far higher rates of social pathologies (depression, substance abuse, suicide) than the general population, but sex reassignment surgery does not offer the relief that those on the Left claim. One study finds that “compared to [the general population], sex-reassigned individuals were about five times more likely to attempt suicide and about 19 times more likely to die by suicide.” The study finds a staggering 41% of transgendered individuals will attempt suicide in their lifetime.

The duo investigated the underlying causes of these tragic statistics, and found that while “stressors like stigma and prejudice account for much of the additional suffering observed in these subpopulations… [this theory] does not seem to offer a complete explanation for the disparities in the outcomes.” Even in social environments where transgendered people are accepted, they still suffer from above-normal rates of these social pathologies.McHugh and Mayer encourage additional research be done to study the correlation between childhood sexual abuse and sexual orientation (studies have shown non-heterosexuals to be 2–3X more likely to have experienced childhood sexual abuse as compared to heterosexuals).…

The authors declare they are “…disturbed and alarmed by the severity and irreversibility of some interventions being publicly discussed and employed for children.… We are concerned by the increasing tendency toward encouraging children with gender identity issues to transition to their preferred gender through medical and then surgical procedures,” noting There is little scientific evidence for the therapeutic value of interventions that delay puberty or modify the secondary sex characteristics of adolescents.”

The Obama administration has used (and abused) its vast power to dismiss the concerns of parents, policymakers, and medical professionals in implementing policy in the furtherance of its ideological goal—forced social acceptance of gender dysphoria as normal, all under the guise of medical science.

Part of that effort was Obama’s announcement earlier this year [2016] that schools receiving federal funding were prohibited from requiring students to use the restroom and shower facilities of their birth sex, while threatening a loss of funding for any school that didn’t comply with his imperial decree. Essentially, this meant boys who think they are girls would get to shower with female classmates.

Transgenderism is a return to the religion of Gnosticism, in its latest iteration as 21st-century Wokeism. Marxist Critical Theory is a political movement being practiced as a religion in the United States, brainwashing America’s children and violating America’s constitutional separation of church and state with critical pedagogy and radical gender ideology.

For readers who still doubt the political underbelly of the trans movement, its weaponized sexuality for social change, and its intersection with Woke Marxism, Christopher F. Rufo’s, February 13, 2024, article “The Business of Transgenderism”[vi] offers stunning confirmation:

In the late 1980s, a group of academics, including Judith Butler, Gayle Rubin, Sandy Stone, and Susan Stryker, established the disciplines of “queer theory” and “transgender studies.” These academics believed gender to be a “social construct” used to oppress racial and sexual minorities, and they denounced the traditional categories of man and woman as a false binary that was conceived to support the system of “heteronormativity”—i.e., the white, male, heterosexual power structure. This system, they argued, had to be ruthlessly deconstructed. And the best way to achieve this, they argued further, was to promote transgenderism. If men can become women, and women men, they believed, the natural structure of Creation could be toppled.

Susan Stryker, a male-to-female transgender professor currently at the University of Arizona, revealed the general thrust and tone of transgender ideology in his Kessler Award Lecture at the City University of New York in 2008, describing his work as “a secular sermon that unabashedly advocates embracing a disruptive and refigurative genderqueer or transgender power as a spiritual resource for social and environmental transformation.” In Stryker’s best-known essay, “My Words to Victor Frankenstein above the Village of Chamounix: Performing Transgender Rage,” he contends that the “transsexual body” is a “technological construction” that represents a war against Western society. “I am a transsexual, and therefore I am a monster,” Stryker writes. And this monster, he continues, is destined to channel its “rage and revenge” against the “naturalized heterosexual order”; against “‘traditional family values’”; and against the “hegemonic oppression” of nature itself.

It is clear from this and from other transgender scholarship that the transgender movement is inherently political. Its reconstruction of personal identity is meant to advance a collective political reconstruction or transformation. Some trans activists even view their movement as the future of Marxism. In a collection of essays titled Transgender Marxism, activist writer Rosa Lee argues that trans people can serve as the new vanguard of the proletariat, promising to abolish heteronormativity in the same way that orthodox Marxism promised to abolish capitalism.

“In a different era,” Lee writes,

Marxists spoke of the construction of a “new socialist man” as a crucial task in the broader process of socialist construction. Today, in a time of both rising fascism and an emergent socialist movement, our challenge is transsexualising our Marxism. We should think [of] the project of transition to communism in our time—communisation—as including the transition to new communist selves, new ways of being and relating to one another.

This is the great project of the transgender movement: to abolish the distinctions of man and woman, to transcend the limitations established by God and nature, and to connect the personal struggle of trans individuals to the political struggle to transform society in a radical way.

The United States of America, the greatest experiment in individual freedom the world has ever known, is being stripped of its unique insistence upon separation of church and state. If Marxist culture warriors succeed, religion and politics will once again merge and award totalitarian social control to the leadership. This time, the award will go to globalist sociopaths and megalomaniacs who control the science and technology to depopulate the earth, and who dream of moving humanity to asexual transhumanism and immortality in their planetary Unistate.

Transgenderism is the stepping-stone to transhumanism, the deceitful political purpose of the transgender movement. The movement’s mutilated, sterile, psychologically devastated victims are collateral damage of globalism’s ultimate war on humanity.
