What happened during CNN’s climate town hall and what it means for 2020

CNN: Kamala Harris: What she said:

The senator from California made the first big, bold intervention of the night, vowing to abolish the Senate filibuster if Republicans refuse to cooperate to pass a Green New Deal. And previewing another controversial sweep of executive power, Harris pledged to indulge her prosecutorial instincts to tell the Justice Department to go after oil and gas firms. She warned that while Trump tweets with one hand, he’s gutting environmental regulations with the other.

The takeaway:

Harris needs to force herself into the top tier of Democrats. She needs liberals to warm to her and Americans to see her as a president. So she projected daring, decisiveness and commander-in-chief-scale empathy to a man who lost his home to forest fires. She blasted Trump to show she could take him on.

“Leaders need to lead. I am prepared when elected to lead,” Harris promised.

Supporters will think that her zestfulness leapt off the screen. A critic might wonder how a President Harris could live up to her big promises.

Marxism, Gnosticism, and Transgenderism

Globalism is a replacement ideology that seeks to reorder the world into one singular, planetary Unistate, ruled by the globalist elite. The globalist war on nation-states cannot succeed without collapsing the United States of America. The long-term strategic attack plan moves America incrementally from constitutional republic to socialism to globalism to feudalism. The tactical attack plan uses asymmetric psychological and informational warfare to destabilize Americans and drive society out of objective reality into the madness of subjective reality. America’s children are the primary target of the globalist predators.

If “liberation is a destructive lie,” as James Lindsay stated at the end of Chapter 30, what is the truth? Lindsay offers an incisive analysis in this summary of The New Discourses Podcast, Ep. 61, The Gnostic Temptation:[i]

Why are Gnostic cults so tempting? Why do people get sucked into them? It’s not because Gnostics go around telling people they’re wrong. It’s because they go around telling people they’re limited. Your beliefs, maybe in science, spirituality, Christianity, politics, or whatever, aren’t wrong; they’re low-level. The Gnostics hold themselves out as people who know more about whatever you’re into than you do, and they explain their superiority as being “liberated” from the limitations “THEY” (your teachers, pastors, etc.) are placing upon your knowledge. They don’t want you to know these secrets, but we do. That’s the Gnostic temptation.

So, “liberation” is presented as transcending one’s mortal limitations, including one’s own physical body. Understanding the gnostic roots of transgenderism is essential for understanding Marxist political exploitation and its implications for the modern trans movements. One of Gnosticism’s core beliefs is its dualistic worldview. Adam Drakos’s January 17, 2022, article on Thinking West, “The Gnostic Roots of the Trans Movement,”[ii] explains the importance of understanding this duality:

Gnostics viewed the physical world as inherently flawed or even evil and claimed that the material universe was created by a lesser divinity known as the demiurge. During creation, bits of divinity were mixed in along with tainted material, and Christ undertook the mission to re-order this chaos. Therefore, the spirit of the supreme God entered into the shell of a man’s body to remedy the situation and help believers reach gnosis—the revelation of man’s true divine nature. In the gnostic view, what defines personhood is not the union of spirit and body (the traditional Christian view), but a divine spirit which merely occupies a physical body.…

Transgender ideology stems from the dualist philosophy of the Gnostics. In transgenderism, a person’s feelings and beliefs about their identity reveal their “true” self, while the physical reality of their genitals or hormones can be false. If a person believes themselves to be a female despite having male reproductive organs, the will wins out, not the material reality. Whether the adherents understand or not, they are promoting a dualist interpretation of the cosmos. There is the spiritual “real” (divine) world of the mind which cannot be wrong, and then there is the physical (fallen) world of material, which can be mistaken if it conflicts with the reality created in the mind.

Like its gnostic roots, transgender ideology is in direct opposition to Christian beliefs, which firmly state that mankind was created by God as a union between spirit and body. Though subordinate to the spirit, the body is intrinsic to a person’s identity, hence the importance of the “resurrection of the body” referenced in the Apostle’s Creed. The Creed affirms the goodness of God’s physical creation and rejects the idea that salvation is gnosis or any other merely esoteric transformation or enlightenment.

The notable New Testament theologian N. T. Wright voices a similar observation:

The confusion about gender identity is a modern, and now internet-fueled, form of the ancient philosophy of Gnosticism. The Gnostic, one who “knows”, has discovered the secret of “who I really am”, behind the deceptive outward appearance.… This involves denying the goodness, or even the ultimate reality, of the natural world. (London Times)

Denying biological reality is a central tenet of trans movements and, like transgenderism, denying reality has a political purpose. Drakos continues:

Like transgenderism, much of transhumanist thought is rooted in Gnosticism. Although there are various strains of transhumanist thought, many adherents seek to augment or transcend natural human evolution. Transhumanists believe that our future as a species is dependent on furthering our evolutionary process through the aid of modern science or technology. One common though far-fetched belief is that one day we will be able to upload human consciousness into a computer, freeing humans from the bonds of physicality and allowing people to process information faster and have unlimited access to the “cloud” of information.

In this scenario “consciousness” can be viewed as synonymous with the “divine spirit” central to Gnosticism. Transhumanists assume that only consciousness is fundamental to a person’s identity, and that the body is merely a receptacle to house consciousness. Once consciousness is uploaded into a machine, the person will now be in the machine. This of course suffers from the same fallacy as transgender ideology and Gnosticism: that our bodies are unimportant to our identity and only the spirit/consciousness is of ultimate value.

Transhumanism is no longer a “far-fetched” belief; it is a central feature of globalism’s megalomaniacal campaign for world domination. The World Economic Forum (WEF) and its members are unapologetic in their gnostic beliefs and elitist plans for one-world governance in their planetary managerial Unistate.

If transhumanism is the aspiration of life in globalism’s Unistate, how will Americans be persuaded to accept it? First, we must remember that globalism’s War on America is a war of attrition. The older generation of patriotic seniors is dying. Their children’s generation of indoctrinated millennials is transitional. It is the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that are the ultimate target of the globalist predators. Let’s review their strategy.

The Marxist Cultural Revolution in America is the philosophical battle between objective reality (facts) and subjective reality (feelings) discussed in Chapter 1. From a tactical point of view, educational brainwashing is begun as early as possible, because the younger the child, the less the necessity for reeducation.

Our constitutional republic is rooted in the Western philosophy of realism, the view that there is a reality independent of any beliefs or perceptions. Anti-realism is the belief that reality is a matter of perception, that reality exists only in the mind. It is the philosophical foundation for Marxist critical pedagogy, which uses the Hegelian dialectical process to reject objective reality and embrace subjective reality.

Bertrand Russell’s infamous quote about weaponizing education to make children believe that snow is black is being implemented in American schools across the country today. It is a weapon of mass cultural destruction, an assault on reality—the final frontier.

When children believe that snow is black, they have rejected objective reality, embraced subjective reality, and are now successfully brainwashed. They are primed for gnostic perceptions of reality that include the vision that the only way to achieve true freedom is to escape from the human body. The gnostic roots of transgenderism are evident in the dualism of the transgender narrative: people’s “feelings” about their identity reveal their “true” self. The physical reality—chromosomes, genitalia, and hormones—is a “false” self.

Dr. Miriam Grossman is a 21st-century maverick in child psychiatry, attempting to help children cope with the dangerous ideas they are being indoctrinated with. Her extraordinary book, Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness,[iii] was released in July 2023. It is an unflinching look at the madness of the trans movement and the politicization of medicine. Her thesis is straightforward and unapologetic:

The beliefs that male and female are human inventions; that the sex of a newborn is arbitrarily “assigned”; and that as a result the child requires “affirmation” through medical interventions—these ideas are divorced from reality and therefore hazardous, especially to children. The core belief—that biology can and should be denied—is a repudiation of reality and a mockery of what hard science teaches about being male and female.

Dr. Grossman speaks with passion and disgust about the horrific effects of the trans movement, and helps parents hold on to objective reality in order to protect their children’s developing ability to reality-test and oppose trans educational indoctrination:

My profession captured. My colleagues spineless. Educators corrupted. Children sacrificed. Families destroyed. Civilization dismantled. Fighting Gender Ideology for Over a Decade. No child is born in the wrong body, their bodies are just fine; it’s their emotional lives that need healing.

Paul McHugh, MD, Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Chapter 27), endorses Dr. Grossman’s book on her website. “You’ve become a household name here at Hopkins psychiatry as the best contemporary example of a good doctor who notices what is happening around her and to her patients and strives to do something about it.”

Johns Hopkins University was the first medical facility in the United States to perform sex reassignment surgeries. Dr. McHugh, with colleague statistician Dr. Lawrence Mayer, conducted a study examining the “born this way” claims of the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community. The 2016 report, “Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences,”[iv] is discussed in an article by Louis DeBroux published in The Patriot Post on August 25, 2016, “‘Born This Way’? New Study Debunks LGBT Claims”:[v]

Among the political Left, it is an accepted fact (“settled science,” you might say) that homosexuals and transgendered people are “born that way”, that their sexual attractions or gender identities are not the product of choice, but a matter of genetics. A new report, instantly controversial, torpedoes that understanding of homosexuality and gender dysphoria (the medical term for transgenderism).

The report, entitled “Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences,” is co-authored by two of the most well respected experts on mental health and human sexuality; Dr. Paul McHugh, described as “arguably the most important American psychiatrist of the last half century”, is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and served for 25 years as Psychiatrist-in-Chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital; and Dr. Lawrence Mayer, Psychiatry Department scholar-in-residence at Johns Hopkins University, is a professor of statistics and biostatistics at Arizona State University.

While, not surprisingly, many on the Left and in the LGBT “community” immediately raged against the report as anti-LGBT, it should be noted that Johns Hopkins University was the first medical facility in the U.S. to perform sex reassignment surgery, and did so for a period spanning decades until a growing body of peer-reviewed studies, including an analysis of how Hopkins’ own transgendered patients fared over time, led the hospital to end those types of surgeries. Furthermore, McHugh is no far right-wing ideologue or Bible-thumper, he is a self-described “politically liberal” Democrat.

Yet it was his long-term experience with patients who suffer from gender dysphoria that led him to his conclusions, summarized in a report which analyzed more than 200 peer reviewed studies. McHugh and Mayer are also very up front about what the science does and does not show, and freely admit the gaps in the available research, which they argue underscores the need for more research before establishing medical standards, public policy guidelines, and laws, based on “settled science” which is not at all settled.…

One of the most shocking findings in the report is that not only do people who suffer from gender dysphoria experience far higher rates of social pathologies (depression, substance abuse, suicide) than the general population, but sex reassignment surgery does not offer the relief that those on the Left claim. One study finds that “compared to [the general population], sex-reassigned individuals were about five times more likely to attempt suicide and about 19 times more likely to die by suicide.” The study finds a staggering 41% of transgendered individuals will attempt suicide in their lifetime.

The duo investigated the underlying causes of these tragic statistics, and found that while “stressors like stigma and prejudice account for much of the additional suffering observed in these subpopulations… [this theory] does not seem to offer a complete explanation for the disparities in the outcomes.” Even in social environments where transgendered people are accepted, they still suffer from above-normal rates of these social pathologies.McHugh and Mayer encourage additional research be done to study the correlation between childhood sexual abuse and sexual orientation (studies have shown non-heterosexuals to be 2–3X more likely to have experienced childhood sexual abuse as compared to heterosexuals).…

The authors declare they are “…disturbed and alarmed by the severity and irreversibility of some interventions being publicly discussed and employed for children.… We are concerned by the increasing tendency toward encouraging children with gender identity issues to transition to their preferred gender through medical and then surgical procedures,” noting “There is little scientific evidence for the therapeutic value of interventions that delay puberty or modify the secondary sex characteristics of adolescents.”

The Obama administration has used (and abused) its vast power to dismiss the concerns of parents, policymakers, and medical professionals in implementing policy in the furtherance of its ideological goal—forced social acceptance of gender dysphoria as normal, all under the guise of medical science.

Part of that effort was Obama’s announcement earlier this year [2016] that schools receiving federal funding were prohibited from requiring students to use the restroom and shower facilities of their birth sex, while threatening a loss of funding for any school that didn’t comply with his imperial decree. Essentially, this meant boys who think they are girls would get to shower with female classmates.

Transgenderism is a return to the religion of Gnosticism, in its latest iteration as 21st-century Wokeism. Marxist Critical Theory is a political movement being practiced as a religion in the United States, brainwashing America’s children and violating America’s constitutional separation of church and state with critical pedagogy and radical gender ideology.

For readers who still doubt the political underbelly of the trans movement, its weaponized sexuality for social change, and its intersection with Woke Marxism, Christopher F. Rufo’s, February 13, 2024, article “The Business of Transgenderism”[vi] offers stunning confirmation:

In the late 1980s, a group of academics, including Judith Butler, Gayle Rubin, Sandy Stone, and Susan Stryker, established the disciplines of “queer theory” and “transgender studies.” These academics believed gender to be a “social construct” used to oppress racial and sexual minorities, and they denounced the traditional categories of man and woman as a false binary that was conceived to support the system of “heteronormativity”—i.e., the white, male, heterosexual power structure. This system, they argued, had to be ruthlessly deconstructed. And the best way to achieve this, they argued further, was to promote transgenderism. If men can become women, and women men, they believed, the natural structure of Creation could be toppled.

Susan Stryker, a male-to-female transgender professor currently at the University of Arizona, revealed the general thrust and tone of transgender ideology in his Kessler Award Lecture at the City University of New York in 2008, describing his work as “a secular sermon that unabashedly advocates embracing a disruptive and refigurative genderqueer or transgender power as a spiritual resource for social and environmental transformation.” In Stryker’s best-known essay, “My Words to Victor Frankenstein above the Village of Chamounix: Performing Transgender Rage,” he contends that the “transsexual body” is a “technological construction” that represents a war against Western society. “I am a transsexual, and therefore I am a monster,” Stryker writes. And this monster, he continues, is destined to channel its “rage and revenge” against the “naturalized heterosexual order”; against “‘traditional family values’”; and against the “hegemonic oppression” of nature itself.

It is clear from this and from other transgender scholarship that the transgender movement is inherently political. Its reconstruction of personal identity is meant to advance a collective political reconstruction or transformation. Some trans activists even view their movement as the future of Marxism. In a collection of essays titled Transgender Marxism, activist writer Rosa Lee argues that trans people can serve as the new vanguard of the proletariat, promising to abolish heteronormativity in the same way that orthodox Marxism promised to abolish capitalism.

“In a different era,” Lee writes,

Marxists spoke of the construction of a “new socialist man” as a crucial task in the broader process of socialist construction. Today, in a time of both rising fascism and an emergent socialist movement, our challenge is transsexualising our Marxism. We should think [of] the project of transition to communism in our time—communisation—as including the transition to new communist selves, new ways of being and relating to one another.

This is the great project of the transgender movement: to abolish the distinctions of man and woman, to transcend the limitations established by God and nature, and to connect the personal struggle of trans individuals to the political struggle to transform society in a radical way.

The United States of America, the greatest experiment in individual freedom the world has ever known, is being stripped of its unique insistence upon separation of church and state. If Marxist culture warriors succeed, religion and politics will once again merge and award totalitarian social control to the leadership. This time, the award will go to globalist sociopaths and megalomaniacs who control the science and technology to depopulate the earth, and who dream of moving humanity to asexual transhumanism and immortality in their planetary Unistate.

Transgenderism is the stepping-stone to transhumanism, the deceitful political purpose of the transgender movement. The movement’s mutilated, sterile, psychologically devastated victims are collateral damage of globalism’s ultimate war on humanity.

Delta’s top DEI officer jettisons ‘ladies and gentleman’ gate announcements as part of equity push

Over the last few years, Delta Air Lines has embraced the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda under the purview of a chief officer who believes that the phrase “ladies and gentlemen” isn’t inclusive.

Delta’s Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officer Kyra Lynn Johnson has said publicly Delta is striving to “boldly pursue equity” which has impacted every level of the company, from its hiring practices to the language it uses in gate announcements.

“So we’re beginning to take a hard look at things like our gatehouse announcements. You know, we welcome ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ And we’ve asked ourselves, ‘Is that as gender inclusive as we want to be?’” Johnson said during a February 2021 panel with other DEI insiders. “You know, we’re looking at some legacy language that exists in some of our employee manuals. And getting to the root of the way some things are described and saying, ‘Does that actually send a message of inclusivity?’”

“Use gender-neutral language and pronouns. Do not use language that suggests a gender binary (male-female),” the Delta guide said.

A Delta spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the company encourages its employees to use inclusive language.

“Delta encourages our people to use language that is inclusive of everyone as our global customer base includes a broad range of diversity in cultural backgrounds, identity and experiences,” the spokesperson said.

Doubling down on climate dogma as Kamala Harris chooses Walz as sidekick

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee for president, chose her successor, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, now serving his second term in the Gopher State.

The climate religion is more rampant than ever in one of the two major political parties in the U.S., and no apostates are allowed. In that sense, any of the names considered by Ms. Harris would have been an on-the-record devotee to the issue.

If you are all in on the climate agenda, you will not be disappointed with Gov. Walz as Vice President. America, beware. We warned in 2020, and we do so again.

CFACT warned that destructive climate polices would take hold if Joe Biden was elected president in 2020. He was, and they did. The results have been harmful and will become worse if allowed to continue.

American consumers have endured the worst price inflation in 40 years from two primary causes: the massive federal spending and debt by the Biden administration and its war on traditional energy sources of oil, natural gas, and coal, specifically to drive their cost higher to make so-called “renewable”  energy more economically competitive.

At his own telling, one of President Biden’s greatest “achievements” is the adoption of the Orwellian-named Inflation Reduction Act (a salient example of government lies told on a recurring basis). This law unleashed a trillion dollars of added government debt for corporate welfare and tax breaks to further skew the energy market toward wind turbines, electric vehicles, and solar panels.

This kind of mass spending on corporate climate projects, closing off domestic energy sources, force-feeding electric vehicles on Americans, and much else will be accelerated in a Harris-Walz administration. Higher debt and zero impact on actual climate change matters not at all.

The Sierra Club, one of the most extreme and credulous organizations propagating climate doom, is pleased with Harris’ choice for VP. “Like Vice President Harris, Governor Walz knows that climate change is the existential threat of our time…and will continue to build upon the legacy of the Biden-Harris administration” (emphasis mine).

Indeed, as governor, Walz imposed electric vehicle mandates by copy-catting California’s; forced wind and solar quotas for electricity supply to 80 percent by 2030; and voted as a congressman for “cap-and-trade” carbon credits that would have crippled American industry with higher costs, lower production, and job losses.

When politicians claim something is an existential threat, as Harris and Walz have stated repeatedly (along with Biden), consider their plans a clear and present danger to our nation’s economic life, freedom, and the constitutional system itself. This phony climate change “threat” will be the excuse politicians use to unilaterally declare a climate “emergency,” which is a distinct possibility in a Harris-Walz administration. Many members of Congress, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, are all in for such a declaration.

There are no limits on what a fake emergency would entail, including banning more oil and gas development, outlawing gasoline vehicles, restricting car mileage and airline travel, eliminating energy and agriculture jobs, ruining nature and landscapes with wind turbines and solar panels, banning meat and forcing diets in schools, curtailing plastic products, and much more.

Just this week, the Biden-Harris administration set forth a ban on federal government use of—get this—plastic cutlery by 2035 as another means to address climate change. As the stock market tanks and wars rage, the levels of absurdity and triviality read like they come from the Babylon Bee. But this is the climate fanatic’s belief system, and no area of our life, small or large, is beyond the reach of those wielding the power of government to impose on Americans by any means necessary under the ruse of saving the planet.

Would the American electorate award climate crazies like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz the White House? Do Americans want more climate policies forced on them?

To the second question, the answer is no; climate change does not rank high on the list of issue priorities beyond the most liberal of voters. But to the first question, the answer is yes, Harris and Walz could be elected by running a stealth campaign of pretending to be across-the-board moderates. It worked for Biden.

Already, in the last two weeks, Harris has reversed her long-held position on banning hydro-fracturing for natural gas. To anyone who believes this eleventh-hour conversion, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. And she will continue to couch the fascist “Green New Deal” agenda by falsely promising economic growth by creating “green jobs”.

Moreover, like Joe Biden in 2020, Gov. Walz has an affable personality and countenance. More so, Walz communicates well on television to a supplicant media in the tank for their agenda. He will sell militant action on climate change and deny their noxious effects with a smile on his face.

So, gear up America. Kamala Harris made her first big decision as a candidate for president, a running mate just like her on the extreme of climate change and many other issues. Again, you’ve been warned. Fool me once …fool me twice?

Who Is Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’s VP Candidate?

Vice President Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) as her vice presidential running mate on Tuesday. The obscure governor and former congressman has signed bills that would remove children from their parents’ custody if the parents refused to carry out transgender procedures, allowed abortion until birth, and left churches meeting online while so-called “essential businesses” were permitted to open their doors more fully during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The vice presidential nod had narrowed to Walz and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D), whose ardent support of Israel would have complicated Harris’s ability to win Michigan. The 60-year-old Walz — who is in his fifth year as governor of Minnesota and served 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives — has sometimes drawn comparisons with Bernie Sanders by comparing socialism to “neighborliness.”

“It just highlights how radical Kamala Harris is,” because she “listened to the Hamas wing of her own party in selecting a nominee,” Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance told a press gaggle late Tuesday morning. Tim Walz “has proposed defunding the police just as Kamala Harris has,” said Vance. “Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and then the few who got caught, Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail. So, it is more instructive about what it says about Kamala Harris. She doesn’t care about the border. She doesn’t care about crime. She doesn’t care about energy. And most of all, she doesn’t care about Americans who have been made to suffer under those policies.”

Walz’s career could be split into two halves, said those who have clashed with him over the years: his time as a congressman in a swing district, where he had to modulate his own liberal views, and his tack to the left once he became governor. In Congress, “he focused on veterans issues, and kept his head down to some extent,” explained Moses Bratrud, director of strategy at the Minnesota Family Council, on Tuesday’s “Washington Watch.” But as governor, he has appealed more to the Ilhan Omar wing of the Democratic Party, said Bratrud. “It’s almost like there are two Tim Walzes.”

Walz served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (2007 to 2019) after defeating a Republican congressman in a rural district. His record sometimes tracked with his constituents’ more centrist views — for instance, his work on veterans affairs — although Walz’s social liberalism earned him a 0% rating from FRC Action in his next-to-last year in Congress.

As governor, he has signed abortion-expanding legislation, placed transgender ideology over parents’ rights, and limited religious liberty.

Abortion

In January 2023, Walz signed the Protection of Reproductive Options (PRO) Act, which allows unlimited abortion-on-demand until birth. He also increased the payments abortionists receive from the government when they carry out taxpayer-funded abortions, removed informed consent laws, curtailed funding for pro-life pregnancy resource centers, and removed a requirement that babies born alive during botched abortions receive life-saving emergency care.

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz make up the most pro-abortion presidential ticket America has ever seen. There is no daylight between them on this issue,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement emailed to The Washington Stand.

Walz called his state an “island of decency” for allowing abortion in an area allegedly dominated by pro-life policies. Walz said among “the things we value most around freedom” include “reproductive freedom,” a euphemism for abortion. At times he has said the “golden rule” is: “Mind your own d–n business!” about who people “marry, their own health care decisions, what books they read.”

“Sadly, these aggressive attacks against vulnerable women and children have earned Walz a place as Harris’s running mate on the Democratic ticket,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life Action, in an email to TWS.

Transgender Policy

Walz has aggressively sided with the transgender industry and promoted extreme gender ideology in the state, including for minors against their parents’ will. Among his most controversial actions, Walz declared Minnesota a so-called sanctuary state for transgenderism. In April 2023, Walz signed a bill (House File 146) that would take minors into state emergency custody if the child has been “unable to obtain gender-affirming health care” — that is, if parents objected to transitioning their minor child. Critics like Bratrud call it “the kidnapping bill,” because it will remove children from any state in the union from their parents’ care if those parents do not enact Walz’s view of transgender ideology.

Instead, Walz has barred parents from getting any alternative, banning so-called “conversion therapy.” He signed a bill that “threatens mental health practitioners who offer voluntary, compassionate care to young people who just want to live according to their faith in the area of gender and sexuality,” explained Bratrud.

Walz’s guidelines have seen schools put feminine hygiene products in boys’ restrooms. “That’s just crazy. That makes no sense whatsoever,” Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) told Newsmax on Tuesday morning.

“When it comes to transgenderism — the anti-science movement that promotes the right of males and females (including minors) to switch their sex — the Biden-Harris team is the most radical administration in American history,” said Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, in an email sent to TWS.

“Freedom is on the march in Minnesota. Decency is on the march in Minnesota. Compassion is on the march in Minnesota,” said Walz after signing the “kidnapping bill,” compassionate therapy ban, and abortion expansion bills on the same day.

Walz has portrayed his socially liberal policies as a matter of personal “freedom,” the key word Kamala Harris has used to brand her presidential campaign. “Here in Minnesota, we believe in protecting personal freedoms. It’s why we established reproductive freedom and gender-affirming care as fundamental rights in Minnesota. And it’s why we banned the practice of ‘conversion therapy’ and ended book bans based on ideology,” Walz posted on X on July 26.

Yet religious denominations say they experienced little freedom during the 2020 COVID lockdowns, when Walz’s policies kept houses of worship closed while bars and casinos opened more fully. Walz issued an executive order that allowed so-called essential businesses to expand their capacity — but in-person church services remained limited to 10 people. The Becket Fund sued, and Roman Catholic and conservative Lutheran church leaders announced they would ignore his executive order and reopen on Pentecost Sunday. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D), a Muslim, tenaciously defended Walz’s lockdown policies, contending that since houses of worship “are not buildings,” then “churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples have never been closed because Minnesotans have been doing the work of worship outside the buildings: serving the poor, sick, and needy, delivering meals, ministering online to the spiritual needs of their people.”

“[I]t is so disheartening that the Governor has subordinated our spiritual well-being to the economic well-being of the State,” said Rev. Dr. Lucas Woodford, president of the Minnesota South District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Socialism, Lawlessness, Immigration, and China

Walz has earned comparisons with Bernie Sanders for his embrace of the term socialism. “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness. Just do the d–n work!” said Walz.

Walz was governor in May 2020, when George Floyd’s death in police custody touched off the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots. Rioters burned down the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd precinct en route to inflicting an estimated half-a-billion dollars of damage statewide. Walz faced steep criticism for waiting three days to call in the National Guard, due to strained relations with then-President Donald Trump.

Walz has favored amnesty for illegal immigration, as well as legal immigration expansion, earning an F- from NumbersUSA. Walz once vowed that, if the U.S. built a wall to stop the flow of illegal immigrants over the southern border, he would “invest in a … ladder factory” to help illegals climb the wall. Walz has also voiced his support for so-called “sanctuary cities,” which do not comply with federal law enforcement’s efforts to deport criminal aliens and others who entered the country unlawfully.

Walz summed up his views of the last four years in a social media post, stating, “Joe Biden is and has always been an American hero. History will look fondly on his legacy.”

Walz was born on April 6, 1964, in West Point, Nebraska, to James F. Walz and Darlene Rose Reiman Walz. He served 24 years in the Army National Guard and worked as a teacher, including a year on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The Democratic vice presidential candidate has longstanding ties to America’s most potent foreign adversary, China. Walz spent a year teaching in the People’s Republic of China, instructing students at Guangdong province’s Foshan No. 1 High School in English and American history in 1989 — the year of the Tienanmen Square massacre. If it left unpleasant memories, they were soon forgotten, as Walz and his wife, Gwen (nee Whipple), took their honeymoon in China in 1994. They set up a company that carried out exchange visits to China, Educational Travel Adventures. Walz said he had visited China 30 times by 2016.

Walz belongs to the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which has paid for its employees’ abortions through its health care plan, ordained non-celibate homosexual clergy, and promoted transgenderism and “queerness” as “beauty.” He and his wife, Gwen, have two children, Hope and Gus, both conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF), a fact Walz has used as a political weapon in his campaign speeches. Walz got his first political job in 2004 as a organizer for the John Kerry presidential campaign.

  11. Signed “Trans Refugee” bill and order protecting gender surgeries for minors.

The Bottom Line

Each legal American voter has a choice to make on November 5th, 2024.

That choice must to be based upon what each presidential candidate will do during their term and how each of their policies impact individual freedoms, jobs, family, community, culture and each individuals pursuit of happiness.

We have provided their policies for those who wish to make their decision based upon the facts and not on media or political spin.

It’s not what they say that matter. It’s what they actually do.

Compare their records while in office. That is the benchmark.

On November 5th, 2024 you’re vote will determine which policies are enacted.

ROOKE: Kamala Kowtows To Far Left In First Major Campaign Decision

Vice President Kamala Harris unveiled Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her pick for Vice President, exposing her fidelity to the far-left wing of the Democratic party.

While Harris spent the July flip-flopping on important issues to make her look less like a left-wing puppet and more like a “leader for all Americans,” her choice for running mate negates any of that work.

Walz is the poster child for what not to do when governing for all Americans. During the 2020 George Floyd riots, Walz directed his anger not toward the rioters but to local law enforcement and ordinary Americans who had nothing to do with it. His leadership helped set the stage for national race riots that claimed American lives, destroyed American communities, and resulted in billions of dollars of damage. He added fuel to the fire of racial tension that consumed national conversations.

While excusing the actions of thousands of Black Lives Matter rioters, he ramped up draconian COVID policies like instituting snitch lines where neighbors could participate in turning each other in for breaking his mandatory stay-at-home orders.

His justice system ensured that while rioters went free, Walz’s executive orders were to be followed or else. Judge Joseph Bueltel sentenced 57-year-old bar and bistro owner Lisa Hanson to 90 days in jail and a $1000 fine for keeping her business open during the lockdowns. The judge said he used Hanson’s sentence as a message to people who violate executive orders.

Just two days before Hanson’s conviction, the state dismissed the criminal case against Mike Forcia, the man responsible for orchestrating the mob that tore down the statue of Christopher Columbus that used to sit outside the state Capitol. He got off after completing some community service requirements.

Walz apparently knew the statue was at risk of a mob attack, but law enforcement was not instructed to do anything to protect it. They sat back as the mob destroyed American heritage so that the governor could appease the far-left rioters.

Covid executive orders are the only examples of Walz’s radical policies. In March 2023, he signed Executive Order 23-03, safeguarding child sex change surgeries and other treatments considered “gender-affirming healthcare.”

“Gender-affirming care” is a euphemism proponents use to describe the use of irreversible hormone suppression and hormone treatments that can lead to chemical castration, as well as surgeries like mastectomy, phalloplasty, and vaginoplasty. Walz made his state a sanctuary for this barbarism without the people’s approval, just the stroke of a pen. 

On this same path, at the end of the 2023 state legislative session, he signed 72 radical bills into law, including no-limit abortions into the state constitution and deleting specific language that would prevent pedophiles from seeking anti-discrimination protections. Walz also signed a bill that required school districts to stock male bathrooms with period products. He raised taxes, ushered in red-flag gun laws, and gave illegal immigrants driver’s licenses.

These policies aren’t even left of center; they are as far-left as one can possibly get. There is no mistaking what Harris wants for her party and America. It’s not to bring everyone together or govern the country in a way that uplifts all Americans. She wants to usher in a new America where policing is demonized and criminals run free, where healthcare is classified as murder and mutilation, and illegal immigration is the law of the land.

Harris could have chosen a more moderate (at least on the outside) candidate like Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, but she didn’t because the far left wing of her party felt like he was a risky choice. Her message is loud and clear. If she gets into office, the radical left-wing will control every aspect of her policy-making and cackle at the sounds of your displeasure. American values will be discarded. Together, they’ll create a new America that erases the American Dream with Socialism and Communism.

An Editorial Board Flunks — More the norm than the exception

Because it is unscientific nonsense, I’ve frequently written about Offshore Wind — e.g. see my webpage and a Substack commentary. As a result of this commitment to Science, I’ve been publicly attacked numerous times (e.g., here).

I (and others) are forced to do this as the failures of the media are now legion — and it’s not limited to large outlets like the AP, the New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC, ABC, CBS, NPR, etc.

I was just sent this piece “Our View: It behooves us to pay for wind energy.” (Central Maine is apparently the business name of a Kennebec newspaper.) Read their editorial carefully.

Where to start?

Their ENTIRE case is based on “According to the Maine Research Array…” (MeRA).

Who is MeRA? Buried in their deceptive fluff, is an acknowledgment that this is a partnership with the offshore wind developer, Pine Tree Offshore Wind.

This looks like classic industrial wind energy tactics — fund some studies by sympathetic “scientists,” then get in bed with a progressive federal government agency (BOEM), then a progressive State government (Maine, in this case), then get a local liberal news media outlet to write a puff piece in support of the wind project. This brings to mind the famous statement: One lies and the other swears to it!

BTW, the last part is called churnalism, and this piece is a great example of it. A brief definition of churnalism, as applied here, is taking a marketing press release (aka an advertisement) and disguising it as a news story, an objective editorial, etc.

The editorial says pay no attention to the exorbitant ratepayer cost (like pay no attention to the man behind the curtain), as “the long-term value of an investment that will pay handsome environmental and economic dividends.” They provide no objective assessment to support that key assertion.

Note that this is a famous trick of illusionists: distract you from the horrifically expensive cost of offshore wind energy, by getting you to look at this shiny object over here.

“According to the Maine Research Array, the offshore wind project, as envisaged… would strip as much carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year as if we took more than 100,000 gas-powered cars off the road.” Of course, that is 100% speculation, as there is no accounting for the numerous changes needed to be made to the Grid when this unreliable source of electricity is rudely inserted (e.g., see here).

Yet the Editorial Board doubles down by saying “The environmental case alone is screamingly urgent.” I’d say that the ignorance of this piece is screamingly annoying.

It would be interesting to see how many scientists are on this Editorial Board. I’ll wager that there are none who are genuine independent energy experts — but whatever.

I could go on here, but it seems akin to berating a kindergarten child for their misunderstanding of where babies come from.

My point of mentioning this incompetent media example is that we are inundated with this type of pretentious lecturing. Big surprise: the antidote is Critical Thinking!

This again reinforces the EXTREME urgency of fixing our K-12 education system, so that our unsuspecting children are not fed this type of propaganda — which is exactly what is happening now.

Influential Medical Doctor Suggests Unleashing Cops and NATO Troops on ‘Anti-Vaxxers’

Dr. Peter Hotez has ties to Bill Gates and the U.N. World Health Organization.

Dr. Peter Hotez, a darling of the Gates Foundation and the corrupt United Nations World Health Organization, has suggested that Homeland Security and the Justice Department should be deployed against “anti-vaxxers” in the US.

And on a global scale, Hotez said, the United Nations and NATO should be deployed against those who refuse to get jabbed. He made the comments at an international pediatric conference in Columbia.

The Exposé reports that at the end of last month, the WHO announced a new project to turbo-charge the development and distribution of mRNA vaccines in underdeveloped countries for, they say, a looming bird flu pandemic.

Medical Press reports:

“The UN health agency said the project would be rolled out through the mRNA technology transfer program it established with the UN-backed Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) in 2021, at the height of the covid-19 crisis.”

It was a couple of weeks earlier that Dr. Hotez, a prominent vaccine pusher and developer, called for deploying security forces, including police and military, to counter “anti-vaccine aggression” in the United States. He also suggested that the United Nations and NATO deploy security forces against “anti-vaxxers.”

In 2022, WHO showcased Hotez in a video to target “anti-vaccine activism” by blasting those who choose not to be vaccinated for supporting “anti-science aggression.” You can watch the 1-minute propaganda video here.

Kamala Harris’ ‘Reproductive Freedom Week of Action’ Is a ‘Lie,’ Pro-Life Activist Says

Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, dubbed last week the “Fight for Reproductive Freedom Week of Action.”

Democrats say abortion empowers women, but research shows that most women would have chosen life if they had more emotional and material support, Emily Erin Davis, vice president of communications for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, told The Daily Signal.

Abortion does not set the woman free, and it grants no freedom to the unborn baby, says Davis, who adds that every week should celebrate life, not abortion.

“Every week should be a week of life so we can cherish, and honor, and lift up those mothers and children,” she says.

The Enigma that is Kamala

In an unexpected twist of fate that has left political pundits scratching their heads and reaching for their thesauruses, U.S. vice president Kamala Harris has stumbled into the spotlight for…not knowing what she does.

Yes, you heard it right!  In a recent appearance on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harris found herself in a pickle, trying to articulate her daily duties like a contestant on a game show where the prize is a lifetime supply of awkward silence.

Emily Compagno, co-host of Fox News’s Outnumbered, jumped at the chance to roast Harris harder than a marshmallow at a summer camp bonfire.  She declared that Harris is a “drag” on the administration, which is a bold claim, considering that most people think a drag is just an excellent costume party theme.  Compagno suggested that Harris’s responsibilities may include perfecting the art of invisibility, because when defining her role, Harris seemed more elusive than a cat at bath time.

The Outnumbered panel, notorious for their sharp wit and sharper critique, echoed Compagno’s sentiments.  They speculated that Harris might moonlight as a magician, making her duties disappear faster than your motivation to exercise on a Monday morning.  Clearly, the vice president’s ability to communicate her responsibilities has become a national mystery, rivaling only the Bermuda Triangle and why we still can’t find a decent parking spot at the mall.

Another Fox News contributor, David Webb, jumped into the fray, implying that Harris’s career has been as remarkable as a beige wall in a poorly lit room.  Who knew that the vice presidency could be such a snooze-fest?  Webb’s comments have even led to speculation that Harris might be the first vice president to hold a secret identity as a background character in a sitcom — always there but never quite part of the action.

The criticism has sparked a national debate: what exactly does a vice president do anyway?  Is it just a glorified title that comes with an extra seat at the table?  Perhaps Harris’s daily responsibilities include perfecting her role as the “Vice President of Not Quite Sure,” or maybe she’s just waiting for her real job title to be revealed on the next episode of The Bachelor.

As the criticism rolls in, many Americans wonder if Harris has a secret superpower we’re unaware of — like the ability to make her duties vanish into thin air.  Meanwhile, the Biden administration probably wish they had a magic wand to make this situation disappear, too.

Watching Harris talk makes us feel as though she stumbled upon a secret language only she and her hand gestures understand.  One moment, she’s delivering what sounds like a TED Talk on “The Importance of Being Unclear,” and the next, she’s conducting an orchestra.  You half-expect her to break into a spontaneous interpretive dance about the importance of infrastructure — complete with jazz hands and a dramatic spin that would make any Broadway star jealous.  If hand movements were an Olympic sport, she’d bring home the gold while the rest of us are left scratching our heads, wondering if we should be clapping or calling for a translator!

And let’s not even get started on that smile!  You know the one — it’s a mix between “I just solved world hunger” and “I have no idea what I’m talking about.”  It’s as if her hands are auditioning for a role in a silent film while her words are auditioning for a part in a horror movie.  You can almost hear the crowd murmuring, “Is she talking about policy or trying to order a pizza?”  Ultimately, her speeches are like abstract art: you can stare at them for hours, trying to find meaning, only to walk away thinking, “Well, I guess I just don’t get it.”

As Vice President Kamala Harris navigates the tricky waters of defining her role, Emily Compagno and her colleagues at Outnumbered serve up commentary hotter than a jalapeño popper at a summer barbecue.  So what will happen next in this saga of political ambiguity?  Will Harris finally declare her duties, or will she remain the enigma wrapped in a blazer?  Only time — and perhaps a few more late-night talk show appearances — will tell!

The International Olympic Committee Memorializes Domestic Violence

This past week we saw a glimpse of what the DNC has in store for America should Kamala win. Not even funny.  I am talking about allowing men to play in women’s sports.  I am talking about boxing. I have to admit after that disgusting opening ceremony, I tuned the Olympics out. I was done with the globalists idea of life. But the boxing match caught my attention.

Apparently The International Olympic Committee (IOC), “Boxers who failed gender tests at world championships cleared to compete at Olympics”  International Boxing Association (IBA) cleared Imane Khelif, transgender, as an Algerian amateur boxer. She represented Algeria in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.  According to the IOC because Khelif listed female on their passport, he could compete in women’s boxing. “Everyone competing in the women’s category is complying with the competition eligibility rules. They are women in their passports and it is stated that is the case, that they are female.”

Italy’s Carini quit just 46 seconds into her round-of-16 bout with Khelif, after the Algerian landed one significant punch. Carini told press that she would not criticize Khelif’s placement in the women’s competition.

Khelif’s next boxing match at the Paris Olympics will be against Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori. All I could think of is how many deranged men all over the world will now think it is OK for men to punch women because now it is a sport. Transgenders, men in women’s sports. I don’t see how any woman can support the Democrat party. This is what they support.

I found it very interesting that Anthony Blinken was upset over the Venezuela election which he is monitoring closely. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said from Tokyo, shortly after the Maduro-backed electors council announced results, that “We have serious concerns that the result announced does not reflect the will or the votes of the Venezuelan people.” Blinken lifted sanctions on Venezuela so Maduro would sell us oil. In turn we made him rich. Maduro made a promise to Blinken to have fair, clean elections. So at 51% of the votes Maduro declared himself winner.

Freddy Superiano, Maduro’s political opponent was just kidnapped from his home. I am sure he will be jailed or murdered never to be heard from again. Venezuela once a rich country, is now facing extreme poverty because of the socialist policies and corruption from the Maduro regime.  The phony cries from the elected officials here are laughable.  The US Regime has jailed opponents , tried to bankrupt them while lying and destroying their lives. The Venezuelans are protesting. When the 2020 election was stolen in America, the GOP was silent. Where were the protests?  Javier Milei (President of Argentina) sent a message  to the Venezuelan people “The Venezuelan lions woke up and sooner or later socialism is going to end.”  Will you allow this to happen in America? In GA illegals are registering to vote.

Real America’s Voice National Campaign Correspondent Brian Glenn reports 47,460 of the 339,000 illegal immigrants living in Georgia have been registered to vote. “I’m very concerned about this situation right now. Not only here in Georgia, but really across the country,” he says. “How many illegals are registered to vote in this election and what does November 5 look like?”  Are you helping to get out the vote?  What is wrong with the GOP in GA?

Some god news, The Arizona primary was this week and the MAGA candidates did well. The Kevin McCarthy establishment candidates not so good. Now it will be up to us to get them elected in Nov.

The economy does not look good. There is a huge effort to prop it up until Nov 6 but is it working. According to previous guest Ricki DeSantis “The Federal Reserve is buying up all the junk bonds in desperate attempt to prop up the markets. 2 Yr. & 10 Yr. Treasury yields crashing after markets. Within 2 hrs. Of the close Thursday: 2 Yr.- Went from 4.377 to 4.25% . 12-13 basis pts. 10 Yr. went from 4.25 to 4.032%. 22 basis pts. Friday morning, the 10 yr. Could open below 4%. In the meantime, Yellen is issuing massive amounts of Treasuries (to who?). US Debt has gone from $22 Trillion in 2019 to over $35 Trillion Thursday. That’s $13 Trillion more in US Treasuries issued. Keep in mind that unemployment is now surging & the government is creating 50,000-60,000 government jobs each month, causing huge drag on the private sector economy. We are in the storm. Something big is coming, again. 2019- 3- Massive Bank Repo Bailouts were executed totaling over $3 Trillion, then COVID Economic Shutdown executed. Corporations, Hedge Funds, Insurance  companies, Billionaires, etc. Buying Treasuries instead of investing back into the economy because of risk (Recession/Depression). This is called the “Bull steepener”. Add to this the 41% surge in foreclosures, car repossessions, student loan defaults, HELOX defaults along with Equity defaults. “Se acurca una grand torments. Esta y muy circa…. ” (A great storm is coming and it is very close)

For those of you that think Florida is a red state and will deliver Florida to Trump, think again. Look at this video. It is horrifying as thousands of illegals line up to get drivers Licenses in Pompano.  Because of our RINO disgraceful legislature and SOS Cord Byrd, 850-245-6500, all you need to do to vote is check a box that you are a citizen and show your drivers license. Send this video to Governor DeSantis and demand he call congress back to pass legislation that actual proof of citizenship is needed to vote.

Call your legislators. Demand they ask for a special session to write a bill requiring proof of citizenship . If they can’t figure it out vote for someone else. Stop voting for the same criminals that will do nothing to secure our elections.

What good are laws if they are not followed?

President Trump and JD Vance are the best hope we have for American greatness once again. They understand the devastation cause by allowing DEI to ruin our once great agencies. They understand that DEI is a cancer and just like any other cancer must be removed. Nothing is certain. The election is not certain. Now it is time to act.  Can you help register people to vote. Can you talk about the importance of voting? Call your local REC leader and demand they get involved.  If we lose this election because of the illegals, how fast do you think it will take for you to lose your rights. Florida will have:  no gas autos, open borders more illegals, no meat, no farming, no guns, mask mandates, porn in school, no law and order.

‘True Conspiracy’: Gender Activists’ Entire Litigation Strategy Looks Like It’s Starting To Crumble

The purportedly “evidence-based” medical standards that helped score gender activists a few short-term legal victories may soon be their undoing.

Internal communications contained in unsealed documents from an Alabama lawsuit, along with prior leaks and a four-year review of transgender medical studies, have exposed the oft-cited standards published by go-to authority for gender medicine, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s (WPATH), as being driven by political and activist agendas rather than scientific evidence about what’s best for patients.

As evidence undermining WPATH’s standards mounts, those working closely on litigation against transgender activist groups believe it will prove too much for courts to overlook.

“We now understand it is not legitimate science dictating the standards of care, but a true conspiracy involving non-medical personnel [who] are activists for transgender agenda,” Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall told the Daily Caller News Foundation during an interview.

Documents recently unsealed in a case challenging Alabama’s law banning child sex change procedures revealed the reality behind WPATH’s Standards of Care Version 8 (SoC 8) guidelines — not only was there no internal consensus, but the recommendations were apparently not evidence-based despite being advertised as such.

Marshall told the DCNF it was at one point an “effective” strategy to be able to point to medical organizations, like WPATH. Now that strategy appears to be falling apart.

“One of the things litigation has done is bring transparency to what many have contended for a long time, which is that we are engaging in experimentation on kids,” Marshall said. “The idea of informed consent doesn’t exist around the concept of gender affirming care.”

“Gender-affirming care” is a euphemism often used by activists that refers to medical interventions, including life-altering and potentially harmful ones such as cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers and genital surgeries.

WPATH defended the guidelines in a statement to the DCNF, but said it is not a party to the lawsuits and would not comment on the ongoing litigation.

“WPATH could not and did not prohibit the evidence-based review team from publishing,” the group said in a statement. “Furthermore, SOCv8 is evidence-based – and while WPATH is not a party to the Alabama case (or any other case), we are confident the legal process will confirm the quality of SOCv8 and the process through which it was developed.”

‘Political Pressure’

WPATH claims its SOC8 are “evidence-based standards for safe and effective gender affirming health care and represent the most expert, in-depth, and evidence-based and consensus-based guidelines internationally.”

But court documents revealed how WPATH suppressed the publication of evidence reviews that undermined their recommendations, or chose not to seek them at all so they could avoid reporting the results. WPATH’s decision was driven, at least in part, by “social justice lawyers” who suggested evidence-based reviews would put them “in an untenable position in terms of affecting policy or winning lawsuits.”

In an expert report submitted in the case, Canadian sex researcher James Cantor wrote that WPATH viewed “evidence-based” medicine as a threat to its “policy goals” and allowed its guidelines to be influenced by “political pressure, litigation and legislative advocacy strategy, and the financial self-interest of WPATH members.” Internal communications included in Cantor’s report show members of WPATH’s Guideline Development Group acknowledged there was “no consensus” on the use of puberty blockers.

WPATH also appeared to cave to political pressure from the Biden administration.

Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine was “very eager” for the release of SOC 8 to “ensure integration in the US health policies of the Biden government,” according to internal communications included in the court documents. Levine’s pressure also prompted WPATH to remove minimum age recommendations, documents show.

When WPATH released SOC 8 in September 2022, it removed age limits for procedures like cross-sex hormones and surgeries.

‘Weak Evidence’

Opponents to state child sex change bans have cited WPATH’s guidelines to support their legal challenges, and some judges have similarly done so in rulings favoring activists.

In June, District Court Judge Robert Hinkle, a Clinton-appointee, struck down Florida’s law banning transgender procedures for minors, pointing to two “well-established standards of care for treatment of gender dysphoria” published by the Endocrine Society and WPATH.

“Gender identity is real,” Hinkle wrote. “Those whose gender identity does not match their natal sex often suffer gender dysphoria. The widely accepted standard of care calls for appropriate evaluation and treatment.”

Likewise, the Biden administration often cites WPATH guidelines in court filings challenging state pediatric sex change bans, including in its challenge to Tennessee’s law banning child sex changes, United States v. Skrmetti, which the Supreme Court recently agreed to hear. The case considers whether bans like Tennessee’s and Alabama’s, which have been passed in 25 states, violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

In its petition for certiorari, the Biden administration claimed that “overwhelming evidence establishes that appropriate gender-affirming treatment with puberty blockers and hormones directly and substantially improves the physical and psychological wellbeing of transgender adolescents with gender dysphoria.”

In April, however, a comprehensive review commissioned by the National Health Service (NHS) England and conducted by Dr. Hilary Cass found “weak evidence” for offering puberty blockers to children, raising crucial questions about WPATH’s guidance. The review also found “no clear evidence that social transition in childhood has any positive or negative mental health outcomes.”

Separately, video footage of a closed-door WPATH education session obtained by the DCNF shows Dr. Gail Knudson, co-chair of WPATH’s Education Institute, admitting a systemic review commissioned by the group found the “strength of significance was low” when measuring if “gender hormone therapy” improved mental health outcomes. However, WPATH’s guidelines cite this study as “strong evidence” for “gender-affirming care” improving outcomes for trans patients.

‘Damage Control’

After the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case out of Tennessee, the DOJ moved to halt proceedings in the Alabama case pending the ruling.

Alabama accused the federal government of trying to shield information about the administration’s involvement in developing the WPATH standards from reaching the justices. Marshall’s office wrote that “the Supreme Court deserves to know the full story, but the United States seems intent on telling just a piece of it.”

Given what documents revealed in the case, they argued “it is no wonder the United States rushed to the Supreme Court with a case without a robust evidentiary record—and then immediately tried to shut this case down.”

A district court judge agreed to pause proceedings in Alabama’s case early July.

“There’s no doubt that there is an effort to engage in damage control by trying to stop the facilitation of the release of other records,” Marshall told the DCNF.

Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Roger Brooks said the revelations about WPATH likely would influence United States v. Skrmetti, though the documents are not yet in the formal record.

“I have no doubt that the most important revelations from the WPATH internal emails will be called to the Supreme Court’s attention through one or more Amicus briefs as well as more generally through media coverage,” Brooks told the DCNF, noting it would be “entirely appropriate for the State of Tennessee itself to call the Court’s attention to these internal emails, if only in footnotes.”

‘A Duty Of Care’

The WPATH revelations could also fuel offensive litigation pushing back on gender activists, bolstering malpractice lawsuits against doctors who offer such procedures to children and even exposing the associations pushing the guidelines to legal consequences.

Brooks said the erosion of WPATH’s credibility “will have very serious implications on future malpractice claims based on surgeries or prescriptions inflicted on minors now and in the future.”

“No longer can any doctor credibly defend him or herself by saying ‘Well, I was just relying on the widely accepted WPATH Standard of Care,’” he told the DCNF.

Josh Payne, who co-founded the firm Campbell Miller Payne to provide legal representation for detransitioners, likewise told the DCNF the revelation that activists influenced the development of WPATH’s recommendations “are relevant to the medical malpractice cases brought on behalf of detransitioners.”

One of Payne’s clients, Prisha Mosley, is suing the healthcare professionals that started her on a course towards medical transitioning at just 16 years old, offering her testosterone injections at 17 years old and the removal of her breasts at 18 years old.

Another detransitioner client of Payne’s firm, Isabelle Ayala, sued the doctors who pushed her towards transitioning as a teenager, along with the the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which published a “policy statement” authored by those same doctors backing the “gender-affirming” treatment model used on her.

AAP members plotted ways to circumvent state laws banning child sex changes, including Tennessee’s, emails obtained by the DCNF in June revealed.

Ayala’s lawsuit alleges individuals, like Dr. Jason Rafferty and Dr. Michelle Forcier, tested their “no-questions-asked ‘affirming’” approach on patients like her.

“At the most fundamental level, medical professionals owe a duty of care to their patients,” Payne told the DCNF. “The recently unsealed documents show that members of the healthcare community knew, or should have known, that the drugs and procedures they were prescribing were not supported by sufficient evidence. Failing to disclose that lack of evidence to patients, and prescribing those drugs and procedures anyway, is a breach of the duty of care owed to patients.”

Though Alabama can’t move forward at this point with more discovery, Marshall said he hopes other states engaging in litigation will explore paths to expose other medical associations pushing the transgender agenda.

“Just as we’ve been able to shine the light on WPATH, similarly, I think we’ll see records that are equally disturbing of medical organizations in our country — who I want to believe were trying to look out for kids — but instead, either were willfully ignorant of what was going on, or had their own agenda that was driven by money, which I think is another factor here that people aren’t talking about enough, or their own personal philosophy, ” he said.
