QUESTION: Is it time to reinstate universal IQ testing for every student in America?

One of our readers named Janine posted the following comment to one of our columns:

I grew up in the 70s. One day all the black husbands and fathers of the family i grew up with just left. They went to just hang out with their friends, or do drugs or violence. My dad was the only father and husband left on our street before we moved to rural area. He did his best to help the other families like cutting their grass and fixing cars and helping the mothers and children with food. They did just leave. The father not allowed in the home restrictions was only 5 years during the 60s and ended in 1968. You can check the history. A black woman petitioned to end those restrictions. The only thing black men has ever petition for is to have access to white women during the same time. You have listened to black men lies. They are only with black women for as long as it benefit[s] them. When they make more money, they partner with white and other women, who are not black. The black race is in the condition solely because of black men, not welfare, not white people or any women; Just like other people are in the condition they are in because of the men of their people.

I never knew they stop giving IQ test[s] in school. Maybe you don’t know when they’re being administered. That is how they place students in advance classes or special Ed. They must be tested.

After reading her comment I felt compelled to write about Intelligent Quotient (IQ) testing and their impact on children in America.

Multiple IQ tests are still available and used, however they are not universally given to every student. In a February 8th, 1984 Education Week column titled “Court Finds I.Q. Tests Racially Biased for Black Pupils’ Placement” Susan G. Foster wrote:

In what some are terming a landmark decision, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit late last month upheld a lower-court ruling that prohibits California school districts from using iq tests to evaluate black students for placement in special-education classes on the grounds that the tests are culturally biased.

In a Washington Post July 6th, 1987 article titled “IQ Tests Restricted by Race“ Jay Mathews noted:

Unbeknownst to her [Mary Amaya the mother of then 14-year old Demond Crawford] and most other Californians, a lengthy national debate over intelligence tests in public schools had just ended in the nation’s most populous state, and the anti-test forces had won.

Henceforth, no black child in California could be given a state-administered intelligence test, no matter how severe the student’s academic problems. Such tests were racially and culturally biased, U.S. District Court Judge Robert F. Peckham had ruled in 1979. After losing in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last year, the state agreed not to give any of the 17 banned IQ (intelligence quotient) tests to blacks. [Emphasis added]

What is the Larry P. v. Riles case and how did it fundamentally transform IQ testing?

According to Disability Rights California:

The Larry P. v. Riles (Larry P.) case was filed in 1971 when five African-American children who had been placed in special education classes for the “educable mentally retarded” (EMR) in the San Francisco Unified School District filed suit in the Federal District Court of Northern California claiming that they had been wrongly placed in the EMR classes based on their performance on intelligence tests that were racially biased and discriminatory.  [Larry P. v. Riles, 495 F. Supp. 926 (N.D. Cal. 1979).] The suit also claimed that a disproportionate total number of African-American students were placed in EMR classes compared to the number of African-American students in the school system.

The Court decided in favor of the students, and the District was prohibited from using IQ tests to identify or place African-American students in EMR-type classes. The Decision was upheld on appeal in 1984.  [Larry P. v. Riles, 793 F.2d 969 (9th Cir. 1984).] The Court expanded its ruling in the case by banning the use of IQ testing for all African-American students who have been referred for special education services.

The federal district court case of Crawford v. Honig prompted a reexamination of the rights of multicultural children in special education.  This case has challenged the Larry P. ruling banning the use of IQ tests for African-American children and has, preliminarily, resulted in three African-American children being allowed to take IQ tests because their parents wish to have them do so. After the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed Crawford, CDE issued a Legal Advisory in October 1994, continuing the directive which banned IQ testing. [See Crawford v. Honig, 37 F.3d 485 (9th Cir. 1994).]

QUESTION: Was this decision the right one for multicultural children in California and beyond?

Should IQ Testing be required of all students in America?

I received an email linking to a 2014 op-ed published on American Renaissance titled “Ten Percent is Not Enough.” The op-ed states:

The black/white experiment has failed.

[ … ]

Some argue it’s a problem of “culture,” as if culture creates people’s behavior instead of the other way around. Others blame “white privilege.” But since 1965, when the elites opened America’s doors to the Third World, immigrants from Asia and India–people who are not white, not rich, and not “connected”–have quietly succeeded. While the children of these people are winning spelling bees and getting top scores on the SAT, black “youths” are committing half the country’s violent crime–crime, which includes viciously punching random white people on the street for the thrill of it, that has nothing to do with poverty.

The experiment has failed. Not because of culture, or white privilege, or racism. The fundamental problem is that white people and black people are different. They differ intellectually and temperamentally. These differences result in permanent social incompatibility.

Is there a “permanent social incompatibility” between blacks and other ethnicities? Are blacks different intellectually and temperamentally?

The answer can be found in a study done in 1994. Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray in their seminal book on cognitive ability The Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life state,

“The question is how to redistribute in ways that increase the chances for people at the bottom of society to take control of their lives, to be engaged meaningfully in their communities, and to find valued places for themselves.”

Herrnstein and Murray found,

Ethnic differences in higher education, occupations, and wages are strikingly diminished after controlling for IQ. Often they vanish. In this sense, America has equalized these central indicators of social success.

Herrnstein and Murray asked,

“What are the odds that a black or Latino with an IQ of 103 – the average IQ of all high school graduates – completed high school? The answer is that a youngster from either minority group had a higher probability of graduating from high school than a white, if all of them had IQs of 103: The odds were 93 percent and 91 percent for blacks and Latinos respectively, compared to 89 percent for whites.

Herrnstein and Murray concluded:

  • We have tried to point out that a small segment of the population accounts for such a large proportion of those [social] problems. To the extent that the [social] problems of this small segment are susceptible to social-engineering solutions at all, should be highly targeted.
  • The vast majority of Americans can run their own lives just fine, and [public] policy should above all be constructed so that it permits them to do so.
  • Much of the policy toward the disadvantaged starts from the premise that interventions can make up for genetic or environmental disadvantages, and that premise is overly optimistic.
  • Cognitive ability, so desperately denied for so long, can best be handled – can only be handled – by a return to individualism.
  • Cognitive partitioning will continue. It cannot be stopped, because the forces driving it cannot be stopped.
  • Americans can choose to preserve a society in which every citizen has access to the central satisfactions of life. Its people can, through an interweaving of choice and responsibility, create valued places for themselves in their worlds.

Herrnstein and Murray found,

Inequality of endowments, including intelligence, is a reality.

[ … ]

Trying to pretend that inequality does not really exist has led to disaster. Trying to eradicate inequality with artificially manufactured outcomes has led to disaster. It is time for America once again to try living with inequality, as life is lived: understanding that each human being has strengths and weaknesses, qualities to admire and qualities we do not admire, competencies and in-competencies,  assets and debits; that the success of each human life is not measured externally but internally; that of all the rewards we can confer on each other, the most precious is a place as a valued fellow citizen.

Finally, Herrnstein and Murray wrote,

“Of all the uncomfortable topics we have explored, a pair of the most uncomfortable ones are that a society with a higher mean IQ is also likely to be a society with fewer social ills and brighter economic prospects, and that the most effective way to raise the IQ of a society is for smarter women to have higher birth rates than duller women.“

Shocking words in 1994 and indeed even more so today. Is it time to have a national public debate on cognitive abilities?

The key factor in setting goals is IQ. Is it time to reintroduce IQ testing for all students?

PODCAST: The Meaning of Christmas

NOTE: I originally wrote this piece back in 2013. I was pleased with its reception. I think it makes an important point about Christmas. I also believe it would make a great TV show for the season. Let me know what you think. – TB

He arose in the morning groggy and disoriented. He didn’t know where he was or recognized the surroundings. It was a small room, very neat and clean, with a sofa, desk, and big bed. Anyone would recognize it as a hotel with all of the amenities. He had no memory of how he had gotten there. Sunlight peeked between the curtains. The television was playing a Christmas gala, complete with classic holiday music. The entertainment was broken up by the occasional commercial where announcers were promoting everything from toys to clothes, jewels, and automobiles. Each announcer admonished viewers to hurry as there was just one day until Christmas.

“Christmas? Where am I, where have I been?”

He slowly stood up and went over to the window and opened the curtains to look outside where the grass and roads were covered with a thin layer of snow. It was cold, but not frigid. People could be seen walking on the streets carrying packages, cars moved quickly along a boulevard, and pine trees were adorned with tinsel, bulbs and lights. He didn’t recognize any of it which confused matters further.

He washed himself in the bathroom and then spotted some clothes neatly folded on the sofa, complete with shoes and socks. The clothes fit remarkably well. The shoes, which were actually a set of leather and rubber boots, also fit comfortably. He combed his hair before putting on the jacket and wool cap hanging on the chair at the desk. He unlocked the door and stepped outside into the cold air and surveyed the area around the hotel. Nothing looked familiar; did Europe look like this?

A woman dressed in a heavy black coat passed by him and greeted him good morning.

It was English, but the accent wasn’t recognizable. He replied, “Good morning,” to the woman who hurried away before any other questions could be asked.

He watched her hurry down the street heading towards a large building where several cars were already parked. A sign in front read, “Springdale Town Mall.” He was curious and thought people at the building might hold some answers. So He followed the woman to the mall, crossing the street carefully as it was busy with vehicles. The traffic lights seemed strange to Him, as well as the lines on the street, along with the the commotion of the cars and their horns. As He approached the entrance to the mall, He could hear the sounds of Christmas music coming from the mall’s PA system in the parking lot. In between songs, announcers touted their products and admonished shoppers there was just one more day until Christmas. He really didn’t grasp what was going on.

He entered the mall which was the largest structure He had ever seen. Inside was a cavernous multitude of lights, more music, and thousands of people circulating. There seemed to be hundreds of shops offering a variety of wares; toys, cutlery, sporting goods, jewelry, and many other goods. Virtually all had signs in their windows promoting sales and reminding shoppers there was now less than a day to Christmas. He paused by an electronic store where many television sets were displaying Christmas shows. The shows were mesmerizing and He became somewhat intoxicated by the sights and sounds emanating from the televisions.

He wandered the mall examining the various stores carefully. Each was decorated in red and green colors, with wreaths, and the smell of pine and sweet candy hung in the air. Electric lights, snowmen, and miniature railroads offered animation. Gifts were wrapped in a special type of green and red paper and ribbons. All in all, it was a feeding frenzy of shopping. He wondered what the purpose of all this activity. There were several signs mentioning “Christmas,” but He didn’t make the connection.

There was the smell of food in the air which caused His stomach to growl in hunger. He passed the mall’s Food Court which featured several restaurants offering a variety of strange looking ethnic foods. He watched cooks prepare Japanese sushi and Chinese cuisine, none of which He recognized as something edible. The Mexican restaurant smelled of spicy hot peppers. The only restaurants which somehow resembled familiar food was the Italian restaurant, although He balked at pizza, and the Greek restaurant featuring gyros and souvlakis, both offered on pita bread.

He asked the clerk for a gyro as it appeared to be made of lamb. The young clerk prepared the meal accordingly, complete with French Fries and a cola drink.

“That will be $5 for the gyro special,” she said.

He looked perplexed by her request but quickly figured she was asking for money of which He had none. He tapped his trousers with his hand and heard the distinct click of metal. He reached inside his pocket where He retrieved some coins valued at $2 each. “Will you take these?” He asked.

The clerk took three of them and presented him with a $1 bill saying, “Here is your change. Thank you. Next!…”

He walked away from the restaurant with his tray and found an empty table to sit and eat. He studied the $1 bill carefully. He had never seen paper money before and didn’t recognize Washington’s portrait. He ate the gyro hungrily. He enjoyed the taste of cooked lamb as well as the pita bread. The French Fries seemed peculiar to him though. He picked one up and inspected it carefully. Nearby at other tables, people were eating them. He then broke one in half and tasted it, and it was good, even though He didn’t know what it was. “A French Fry? Hmm…,” and He ate the rest. He examined the cola drink suspiciously. He took a sip and found the taste medicinal in nature, and the bubbles tickled His nose. Spotting a nearby water fountain, He emptied the cola down its drain and replaced it with water which tasted remarkably clean to Him.

He saw others dumping the trash from their trays into the garbage and followed suit. The meal had served its purpose and He felt refreshed. He then returned to wandering around the mall. The music and hubbub was beginning to give Him a small headache.

It was mid afternoon when He came to the center of the mall where he sat at a bench on the second floor. He marveled at the immensity of the mall and as He looked down to the bottom floor He discovered a long line of children waiting for someone named “Santa Claus.” Dozens of children waited patiently to sit with a fat man dressed in a red and white costume. He assumed the man was elderly as he wore a white beard with matching color hair.

An elderly woman came and sat on the bench to rest her feet. She was loaded with several packages and looked tired from her trek around the mall.

“Excuse me, but who is that man down there?” He innocently asked the woman.

She looked down to see the object of His attention.

“Are you kidding me?” she said, “It’s Santa Claus and his elves talking to the kids of course.”

He said, “I’m sorry, I am not from around here. What is a Santa Claus?”

She looked at him inquisitively but gave him the benefit of doubt. “He is actually called by many names, St. Nicholas, Kris Kringle, and many others around the world. He is considered the patron saint of Christmas and is best known for delivering presents to children on Christmas.”

“Christmas, there is that name again,” He thought.

He watched the children one-by-one visit with the old gentleman. Some appeared timid and scared, others enjoyed a good conversation with the man, others were loud and animated, demanding certain presents on Christmas Day. It was all rather unclear as to the purpose of the meeting with Santa other than it was an outlet to promote the purchase of more gifts. He was amazed by the length of the never-ending line and requests for more gifts.

The greed and opulence of the season was too much for him to stomach any longer. He took his leave of the mall wanting to head back to the safety of the hotel room. Unfortunately, He became a bit disoriented and couldn’t find the same door from which He entered, and exited on the opposite end of the mall where nothing looked familiar.

He had spent considerable time at the mall and it was now late afternoon with long shadows and the sun beginning to set. All He could see were rows of neat wooden homes adjacent to the mall. He was unfamiliar with the architecture and wanted to take a closer look. He entered a subdivision and was amazed how orderly the houses were aligned and well maintained.

As the sun set, decorative lights were switched on and lit up the houses and the adjacent trees and shrubbery. Various statues of snowmen, Santa Claus, and angels were also lit and music could be heard in the air. There also seemed to be reindeer everywhere; on top of houses, pulling sleighs, or metallic statues on front lawns, some were animated appearing to be grazing. In was very reminiscent of the storefronts in the mall.

He walked several blocks in amazement as the houses turned darkness into light. Other people also walked the neighborhood in order to see the decorations. Cars began to enter the streets where they moved slowly so parents and children could admire the decorations. As pleasant as this all ways, He was at a loss as to what it all meant.

As He exited the neighborhood, He was presented with two large structures, one with a crucifix atop it, and another with the Star of David. He was appalled by the crucifix and began to wonder if people still practiced the tortuous custom. The large cross stopped Him in his tracks and He began to tremble. He noticed the other structure bore the Shield of David, a symbol He was familiar with through Judaism.

It was nighttime now and both buildings were active with people, the Temple celebrating a Bar Mitzvah, and the Church preparing to celebrate Christmas mass. Being more familiar with the Shield of David, He approached the Temple, where people were exiting for the evening. Still inside was the rabbi who was bidding goodnight to the attendees. He worked his way to the rabbi, a middle aged man who appeared to be of good nature.

He said, “Rabbi, I am a stranger to this area. As I have walked around the village I notice there is a fascination with ‘Christmas’ here. I would like to know more.”

The Rabbi smiled and said, “Well stranger, you are actually in a good place to learn. I would like to sit down and tell you more, but the hour is late and I have another appointment. However, I recommend you visit the church next door where they are getting ready to celebrate Christmas. I am confident they will tell you the full story tonight.”

He took his leave of the rabbi, who locked the Temple after He exited. Many people were entering the house of the crucifix, men, women and children. As it appeared to be safe, He overcame his timidity and reluctantly approached the church. At the door, He was warmly welcomed by greeters. The inside appeared to be a place for religious retreats, with several rows of pews, and an altar at the front.

As the service began, the congregation rose to its feet and began to sing, accompanied by an organ. He was startled by this, but found the music strangely comforting. He looked about and saw everyone singing in unison, along with a choir which sang as one. The pomp and circumstance was impressive. He looked on in horror as a small boy walked slowly down the center aisle carrying another crucifix with an effigy of a person nailed to it. The boy proudly presented the cross at the front of the congregation before placing it in a stand. He was bewildered by the display and was prepared to turn and run, but something inside him told him to stand his ground. After the entrance of the clergy, the music stopped and everyone returned to their seats.

The minister welcomed everyone to the evening’s Christmas celebration. This was followed by a sweet celebration enacted by the children of the church who were dressed in colorful costumes. The minister narrated the story of the birth of Christ and the children acted out the story. He listened intently. He heard the names of Joseph and Mary, which were well known to him, as well as a place called Galilee. He listened to their story of the birth of their savior. Aside from the shiny costumes and some obvious literary liberties, it was a story He knew well, and his spirits perked up noticeably. He was no longer afraid but felt quite at home.

After the play, the minister asked all first time visitors to rise and be recognized. One-by-one he welcomed each visitor, asking who they were and where they were from. The minister finally asked the stranger to introduce himself.

“I am known as Jesus of Nazareth,” He said.

The minister thought He was mocking the congregation and quickly confronted the stranger. Anger was in the minister’s eyes but before he could utter a harsh word, He said, “I am a stranger to this area,” and raised his hand in peace to shake the minister’s.

It was only then the minister saw the scars from the crucifixion. There was something in the stranger’s demeanor and eyes that made him realize he was now in the presence of something special. The minister froze until He placed his hands on him in comfort. The minister smiled and knelt to his knees. The congregation didn’t quite comprehend the situation, but followed the minister’s lead and knelt.

He said, “Please rise, you are all my children. I’m not sure why I was sent here but I believe it has something to do with the meaning of Christmas, something I didn’t quite understand until I witnessed your pageant.”

“Yes, this is your birthday, your eminence,” the minister replied.

“I have been among you this day and have witnessed many things, most of which I do not understand, particularly the greed of this day. I hope they are not using this day to celebrate such a weakness.”

The minister was embarrassed, “I am afraid a lot of people have forgotten its purpose. It is not about shopping, it’s about You.”

“In my time, we celebrated birthdays by the breaking of the bread. We didn’t have opulent presents. Instead, we offered our love, fellowship, and trust to others. If this is truly my Birthday, let us celebrate likewise,” and loafs of bread appeared in His hands.

Jesus moved to the altar and broke the bread into small pieces for everyone to consume. The minister assisted by pouring wine.

“Here, eat and drink. Do this for the remembrance of Me. My message is simple: I love you unconditionally. You may not believe in me, but have confidence that I love you. Do not dwell in hate. Practice love and do unto others as you would have others do unto you. It’s really not that difficult, is it?.”

As the last morsel of bread was consumed and wine drunk, He turned and disappeared into the ether with the exclamation, “Remember!”

PHS Report: Fully Vaccinated account for 9 in every 10 Covid-19 Deaths over the past 4 months

Whilst you’ve been distracted by the UK Govs. Christmas Party, PHS released a report confirming the Fully Vaccinated account for 9 in every 10 Covid-19 Deaths over the past 4 months

If someone had said to you in 2019, that in the near future the mainstream headlines will be dominated for days on end with news that the UK Government held a Christmas party, then you would have most likely thought they were rather odd. But here we are.

However, whilst the mainstream media has got you talking about who got what in the ‘Secret Santa’ that took place in 10 Downing Street in December 2020, they’ve managed to distract you from the fact that the UK Government is slowly boiling the nation once again by drip feeding restrictions back into play, week by week, in response to an alleged new variant that is yet to claim a single soul. The United Kingdom will end up back in lockdown without anyone even realising it has happened.

But what they’ve also managed to distract you from is the latest data Public Health Data which shows that over the past four months the double / triple jabbed population have accounted for 6 in every 10 Covid-19 cases, 7 in every 10 Covid-19 hospitalisations, and 9 in every 10 Covid-19 Deaths.

Public Health Scotland (PHS) publish a weekly report containing statistics on Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations, and deaths by vaccination status, the latest of which was published on Wednesday 8th December, containing data on cases and hospitalisations between 6th Nov. 21 and 3rd Dec. 21, and data on deaths between 30th Oct. 21 and 26th Nov. 21.

The latest report confirms that in the most recent four weeks there were 76,677 Covid-19 cases, 1,735 Covid-19 hospitalisations, and 435 Covid-19 deaths.

Of these the vaccinated population accounted for 47,835 cases (62%), 1,226 hospitalisations (71%), and 371 deaths (85%), and this can be confirmed by reading the latest report found here, page 44 for cases, page 50 for hospitalisations, and page 56 for deaths.

But this isn’t a new phenomena that is suddenly occurring because of the overhyped Omicron variant. Dr Hilary may tell you that 90% of the people in hospital with Covid-19 are unvaccinated whilst he admires his own reflection in the camera lens on the Lorraine Kelly show on ITV. But Dr Hilary is liar, because the official data shows that the fully vaccinated have accounted for the vast majority of cases, hospitalisations, and deaths for months on end, and we can prove it to you…

We’ve compiled the following analysis using official data contained within Public Health Scotland Covid-19 Statistical Reports from the latest release published December 8th, all the way back to the edition published August 18th, and they can all be found here (click on the required report and then scroll down to ‘Full Report’).
Covid-19 Cases

Table 13 of the latest report shows the number of Covid-19 cases by vaccination status in Scotland. The table may have been attributed a different number in previous reports published by PHS, but the following chart shows cases by vaccination status over a period of 16 weeks from 14 Aug 21 to 03 Dec 21.

The chart shows that in August and early September, the unvaccinated population accounted for the majority of Covid-19 cases. However, when couple the partly vaccinated and 2/3 dose vaccinated population together we find that the vaccinated population have in fact accounted for the majority of cases since the 14th August.

This data alone puts an end to the myth that it is selfish to not be vaccinated, because it’s quite clear the jabs do not prevent infection or transmission. Which begs the question as to why Scotland has introduced Vaccine Passports, and why Boris Johnson is about to introduce them in England.

The above chart shows the cumulative number of cases by vaccination status between 14 Aug 21 and 03 Dec 21, and illustrates quite clearly that the fully vaccinated have accounted for the majority of cases since August.

What we can see from the above is that up to the week beginning 9th Oct, the unvaccinated had accounted for the majority of cases, however since this week there has been a switch with the fully vaccinated taking the lead and hitting 181,580 confirmed cases by Dec 3rd.

When including the 37,383 confirmed cases among the partly vaccinated during this period, the total cases among the vaccinated population rises to 218,963. Whilst the number of cases among the unvaccinated population during this period of 16 weeks has amounted to 156,282, despite this group containing children who are ineligible for vaccination and have accounted for a huge chunk of cases since the start of the alleged pandemic.

Covid-19 Hospitalisations

Table 14 of the latest report shows the number of Covid-19 hospitalisations by vaccination status in Scotland. The table may have been attributed a different number in previous reports published by PHS, but the following chart shows hospitalisations by vaccination status over a period of 16 weeks from 14 Aug 21 to 03 Dec 21.

Now, we couldn’t quite believe our eyes when we saw that official data shows the vaccinated population have accounted for 7 in every 10 hospitalisations since August 2021. Because Dr Hilary, who has absolutely no conflicts of interest whatsoever (despite recently releasing a book about a pandemic, and being a company director of Medtate which collaborates with a certain Mr Bill Gates), said on national television that “90% of the people in hospital with Covid-19 are unvaccinated”.

Well, looks like that’s the last time we rely on obtaining reliable information from a TV doctor who said in June 2021 that “As a doctor, I have to ask the question, is a holiday really important and essential in a global pandemic? It really isn’t. It’s a luxury. It’s something that you can do without in order to preserve life.”

But then said the following only a few days later once the media had cottoned on to the fact he would be going on a cruise later this year –

“Later this year I am joining a domestic cruise in British waters which remains at sea throughout and does not call at any UK port let alone one abroad.  It leaves from Southampton and returns there without stopping.”

But hey-ho. You live and learn.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A statewide mask mandate for Pennsylvania schoolchildren was thrown out by the state Supreme Court on Friday, raising the prospect that at least some students in the state may soon be allowed to attend classes without a face covering.

The justices announced their decision to invalidate the Wolf administration’s statewide mandate for masks inside K-12 school buildings and child care facilities but did not issue a written opinion that explains their reasoning.

They upheld a lower-court decision that the mandate was imposed by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s acting health secretary without legal authorization. The practical impact of the decision will depend on what the justices say in the written opinion or opinions they will issue in the case and which schools and school districts impose their own masking requirements.

The court took action amid a statewide surge in new infections and hospitalizations. Pennsylvania is reporting an average of 7,571 infections per day, up over 20% in two weeks. Hospitalizations have risen 55% since mid-November, to an average of more than 4,000 per day, and acute-care facilities are becoming overwhelmed.

Wolf press secretary Beth Rementer described the decision as “extremely disappointing.”

“The administration recognizes that many school districts want to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff, and we are hopeful they will make appropriate mitigation decisions moving forward,” Rementer said.

She urged districts to prioritize health and safety, calling masks “a proven and simple way to keep kids in school without interruption and participate in sports and other extracurricular activities.”

The justices upheld a Commonwealth Court ruling that Alison Beam, the acting state health secretary, lacked authority to require masks, did not follow state laws about enacting regulations and acted without a required existing disaster emergency declared by the governor in place.

The lower court found Pennsylvania’s disease control law does not give health secretaries “the blanket authority to create new rules and regulations out of whole cloth, provided they are related in some way to the control of disease or can otherwise be characterized as disease control measures.”

“The decision will be left to the 500 school districts in Pennsylvania, with respect to what to do with the implications of this order,” said Thomas W. King III, a lawyer for the Republican lawmakers, school districts, schools and parents who sued to challenge it.

King, who has advised against mask mandates, said school boards will have to consult their own lawyers about what policy to now adopt. As of the end of July, 59 of 474 school districts submitted plans to the state Education Department that mandated masks for the current school year.

“This is a great day in Pennsylvania for the rule of law,” King said. “The Supreme Court has proved that no one is above the law, and that includes the secretary of health or the governor.”

The decision comes just two days after the high court heard oral arguments in the case.

The lawsuit was filed by Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre; state Rep. Jesse Topper, R-Bedford; two religious schools; three public school districts; and several parents of schoolchildren.

Beam’s actions, the litigants argued, left the public unable to voice their opinions and the General Assembly unable to review the policy’s legality or necessity, and violated state law.

The attorney general’s office, representing Beam, told the court earlier this week there does not appear to be anything to prevent schools and school districts from issuing their own masking orders.

The mask mandate took effect in early September. Wolf announced in November he intends to return authority over masking decisions to local school districts in January, but will continue to require masks in child care centers and early learning programs.

Ilhan Omar Bill to Require State Department to Monitor ‘Islamophobia’ Moves Forward

A spurious concept designed to inhibit criticism of jihad terror could soon be funded by your tax dollars. My latest in FrontPage:

Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Lightfootland) have determined to take action against “Islamophobia,” and their initiative is gaining traction. The House Foreign Affairs Committee on Friday approved their bill calling for a State Department “Islamophobia monitor,” and now it will go to the full House for further consideration. The idea that Pelosi’s House would reject such a bill is virtually inconceivable.

This all started back in October, when Omar and Schakowsky introduced the Combating International Islamophobia Act, which would, according to a press release posted on Omar’s website, “require the State Department to create a Special Envoy for monitoring and combating Islamophobia, and include state-sponsored Islamophobic violence and impunity in the Department’s annual human rights reports.”

This would supposedly “help policymakers better understand the interconnected, global problem of anti-Muslim bigotry. It will also establish a comprehensive strategy for establishing U.S. leadership in combatting Islamophobia worldwide.”

The press release said nothing whatsoever about combating jihad terror or about how suspicion of Islam may be created by the all too common spectacle of Muslims committing acts of violence while screaming “Allahu Akbar” and justifying their actions by reference to Islamic texts.

Omar and Schakowsky claimed that “this year, the United States has seen over 500 documented complaints of anti-Muslim hate and bias.” Their link went to another press release, this one from the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), claiming that these documented complaints include “hate crimes, harassment, school bullying, discrimination, hate speech, and anti-mosque incidents.”

“Hate speech”: this means that trivial incidents in which someone who is rude to a Muslim gets counted in as a hate crime, inflating the numbers of those crimes and contributing to the false impression that Muslims are victims of widespread discrimination and harassment in America today. With that low a bar, it’s no surprise that the press release at Omar’s site goes on to note that “in March, the United Nations Human Rights Council cited discrimination and hatred towards Muslims has risen to ‘epidemic proportions.”

Omar claimed that “we are seeing a rise in Islamophobia in nearly every corner of the globe. In my home state of Minnesota, vandals spray-painted hate messages and a Nazi swastika on and near the Moorhead Fargo Islamic Center. These types of incidents are all too common for Muslims in the United States and beyond. As part of our commitment to international religious freedom and human rights, we must recognize Islamophobia and do all we can to eradicate it. That’s why I’m proud to partner with Rep. Jan Schakowsky to create a special envoy to put an end to this bigotry.”

Really, that Nazi swastika business is terrible. But let’s try to keep some perspective, shall we? Muslims in Nigeria are subjecting Christians to murderous jihad attacks on a near-daily basis. Muslims in Pakistan persecute Christians and other religious minorities by means of that country’s draconian blasphemy laws, which have seen lives destroyed on rumors and false charges. Compared to that, some spray-painted graffiti just isn’t that big a deal, although certainly the louts who did it should be caught and prosecuted.

Omar doesn’t say anything about Muslims being beaten or murdered, or even denied jobs and preferment, in the United States, because such incidents are vanishingly rare; to establish her victimhood bona fides she has to fall back on graffiti.

Nonetheless, Schakowsky chimes in with a claim that is part accurate and part Leftist victimhood fantasy:

“For over a decade we have seen increasing incidents of violent Islamophobia both in the U.S. and worldwide — from the genocide of the Rohingya in Burma, and Uyghurs in China, to the attacks on Muslim refugees in Canada and New Zealand. It is past time for the U.S. to establish a comprehensive plan for combating this hatred worldwide. I am proud to join my friend and colleague, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, in introducing the Combating International Islamophobia Act. This critical legislation will create a Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Islamophobia to ensure the U.S. dedicates the resources necessary to safeguard human rights and religious and cultural freedom around the world.”

All right. But will this Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Islamophobia note the large number of faked anti-Muslim hate crimes? Will this Envoy make a clear distinction between the two quite different ways the propaganda neologism “Islamophobia” is used? The term “Islamophobia” is an illegitimate conflation of two distinct phenomena: crimes against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, and honest analysis of the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which is always necessary.

Islamic advocacy groups and their leftist allies have been insisting for years that such analysis, too, constituted “Islamophobia.” Omar and Schakowsky speak of Islamophobic violence, but if this Special Envoy is created, he or she will without any doubt crack down on any honest discussion of how Islamic jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and oppression, because for years such discussion has been labeled “Islamophobia” along with real acts of anti-Muslim bigotry.

The Special Envoy would just be another agent in the Left’s escalating war against freedom of speech, silencing opposition to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women, and thereby enabling unarguably sinister forces. Don’t tell me you’re surprised.

Mask Subjugation of America’s Children is Child Abuse

The masking of America, especially our children, has been detrimental to our mental and physical health.  I weep when I see parents put these evil things on their little ones.

Parents who are standing up against the masking of their children at school board meetings are being threatened. Attorney General Merrick Garland admits he took the word of the National School Boards Administration that parents voicing concerns at their local school board meetings should be targeted as “domestic terrorists.”

Citing an increase in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members, teachers and workers in our nation’s government run schools, AG Garland met with federal, state, Tribal, territorial and local law enforcement leaders to discuss strategies for addressing this “disturbing trend.”  What?  Parents concerned for their children is a “disturbing trend?”

However, when Garland was questioned by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), not one citing of intimidation or violence could be shown by parents across the USA against any school board members.  The lies of the stakeholder authoritarians keep pile up.

At an elementary school in Portland, Oregon, kindergartners were videotaped eating lunch outside and sitting on buckets socially distanced in 40-degree weather. That is child abuse, and parents are infuriated. State and local health departments are still mandating masks for school children and parents have realized how detrimental masks are to their child’s mental and physical health.  They’ve complained to their local school boards.

The mask tyranny has even hit the red state of Tennessee in Shelby County.  Parents were enraged that they weren’t allowed into the board meeting and police were there to keep them out.

Oxygen Deprivation

Research reveals that prolonged use of Covid masks, homemade or N95, can cause anywhere from five percent on up to 20 percent loss of oxygen, leading to hypercapnia (excessive carbon dioxide in the bloodstream typically caused by inadequate respiration), panic attacks, vertigo, double vision, tinnitus, concentration issues, headaches, slowed reactions, seizures, alterations in blood chemistry and suffocation due to air displacement.

We are killing our children!  Wake up America and get these things off your children’s faces!

We cannot allow children to continually breathe in exhaled carbon dioxide (CO2).  Even National Institutes of Health (NIH), a stakeholder in this vile jab for Sars-coV-2, states this is dangerous to your health.  It can lead to a light-headed, dizzy, flustered feeling from repeatedly re-breathing back in your own already processed air. Those are just the beginning warning signs of much more serious health problems.

According to Amesh A. Adalja, MD, and senior scholar at Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in Maryland, “wearing a mask day in and day out can lead to alterations in blood chemistry,” and that leads to “changes in level of consciousness.”

A German neurologist, Dr. Margarite Griesz-Brisson, MD, PhD (in pharmacology), who specializes in neurotoxicology and environmental medicine, warns that oxygen deprivation from prolonged Covid-mask wearing can cause permanent neurological damage.  She states in her research, “The re-breathing of our exhaled air will without a doubt create oxygen deficiency and a flooding of carbon dioxide. We know that the human brain is very sensitive to oxygen deprivation. There are nerve cells for example in the hippocampus, that can’t be longer than 3 minutes without oxygen – they cannot survive. The acute warning symptoms are headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, issues in concentration, slowing down of the reaction time – reactions of the cognitive system.”

People think they’ve gotten used to wearing masks, but what they’ve actually gotten used to is having less oxygen in their brains.  They no longer mind the masks because once a person has chronic oxygen deprivation, all of those symptoms disappear.  The person gets accustomed to the deprived state; however, their efficiency remains impaired and the lack of appropriate oxygen delivery to the brain continues to dangerously progress.  They literally are losing their minds.

People have so fallen for the fear factor of this virus with a 99.8% recovery, that they are wearing their masks in their cars, their homes, when they are outdoors or exercising.  Children are forced to wear their masks all day at school, with minimal or zero mask breaks, even during recess.  This is child abuse!

Masking Our Wee Ones

The oxygen deprivation mask syndrome is sweeping the globe and more are at risk.

Dr. Mark McDonald, a double board-certified clinical psychiatrist told of the damage to our children. Dr. McDonald said, “We’re not in a medical pandemic, we’re in a fear pandemic.”

He believes that what is driving the fear now is propaganda.  He said that children, unlike adults, don’t just bounce back; those children will not regain their psychological health.  As a child psychiatrist, he treats children all day long.

He stated, “The developmental stage children need to go through, babies, toddlers, young adults, is being foreclosed on them.  Brown University Department of Pediatrics published a study in mid-September that found that babies born after January 1st, 2020, when this whole pandemic started, had an IQ point drop of 20 points compared to babies born before January 1, 2020.  That’s huge!  Why?  They don’t see faces, they don’t play, they don’t have exposure to friends, they don’t go to school.  They’re basically locked in their homes looking at their parents for two years and their brains have not developed.”

“My concern is that we are building a generation of young people who are so traumatized that they will never fully recover from this.  Even if we give them therapy and treatment, they’re always going to be damaged from this and be scarred emotionally.  I don’t mean for it to be depressing, I mean for it to be alarming so that everyone can finally say, ‘STOP.’ We’ve got to stop the damage and then figure out what to do about it.”

It’s way past time to acknowledge what has been done wrong and the biggest problem was masks on children who rarely get or pass the virus.  To close their faces off from their peers and to wear face diapers in public is a developmental atrocity to our youth; I see it as child abuse.  Many parents home school, and those children have no social disabilities, but masks are a blockage that destroy interpersonal relationships and change the lives of these children for decades to come.  And they destroy the brains of these youngsters by depriving them of proper oxygen.

Fear is a great driver, when fear is in the minds of people, they actually don’t want much public discourse, they don’t want much discussion, they basically just want to be told what to do.  The easiest thing to do is to defer to some type of agency.  The agencies who are calling the shots here are ones that typically don’t call the shots.

The FDA doesn’t tell doctors how to treat patients.  The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) is a drug regulatory, drug safety watchdog agency.  The National Institutes of Health (NIH), they don’t tell doctors how to treat patients.  They’re a government funded research organization.  The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) certainly doesn’t because they’re an infectious and chronic disease, epidemiologic and analytic organization.  We should not look to those groups to advise physicians how to treat patients.

Nor should we look to other unelected parties to tell us what to do, and that includes our local health departments who have advocated mandates that are destructive not only to children, but to all citizenry.  And the latest is the euphemistically named Congressional bill H.R.550 (Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act of 2021) which paves the way for state and local health departments, as well as public and private health care providers, to share personal health data with the federal government. The bill has hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars allocated to the tracking system’s success.

Mask Studies

Do masks actually work? The best studies suggest they don’t, appeared in The Washington Examiner on August 12, 2021.  (Please read the short article.)

“Of the 14 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) that have tested the effectiveness of masks in preventing the transmission of respiratory viruses, three suggest, but do not provide any statistically significant evidence in intention-to-treat analysis, that masks might be useful. The other eleven suggest that masks are either useless — whether compared with no masks or because they appear not to add to good hand hygiene alone — or actually counterproductive. Of the three studies that provided statistically significant evidence in intention-to-treat analysis that was not contradicted within the same study, one found that the combination of surgical masks and hand hygiene was less effective than hand hygiene alone, one found that the combination of surgical masks and hand hygiene was less effective than nothing, and one found that cloth masks were less effective than surgical masks.”

One free-thinking university professor at New York University was finally cleared for questioning masks in his class on propaganda.  Mark Crispin Miller took the stance of many independent scientists, questioning some of the motives of government and public health officials, as well as their often-vacillating stances on Covid-19.  Both students and other professors found it reprehensible that Miller was “thinking outside the box.”

Detrimental Surgical Masks

In August of this year, I wrote an article, The Mask Nazis Have Blood on their Hands, and told the story of Dr. Orr who found that not wearing surgical masks cut infections in half.  When I’ve told people about this, they wanted the article.

“Dr. Orr was a surgeon in the Severalls Surgical Unit in Colchester. And for six months, from March through August 1980, the surgeons and staff in that unit decided to see what would happen if they did not wear masks during surgeries. They wore no masks for six months, and compared the rate of surgical wound infections from March through August 1980 with the rate of wound infections from March through August of the previous four years. And they discovered, to their amazement, that when nobody wore masks during surgeries, the rate of wound infections was less than half what it was when everyone wore masks.”

Their conclusion: “It would appear that minimum contamination can best be achieved by not wearing a mask at all” and that wearing a mask during surgery “is a standard procedure that could be abandoned.”

Dr. Arthur Firstenberg took all of this a step further in his research and published the following in August of 2020.  He scoured the medical literature, sure that this was a fluke and that newer studies must show the utility of masks in preventing the spread of disease. But, “the medical literature for the past forty-five years has been consistent: masks are useless in preventing the spread of disease and, if anything, are unsanitary objects that themselves spread bacteria and viruses.”

Here are his amazing findings:

  • Ritter et al., in 1975, found that “the wearing of a surgical face mask had no effect upon the overall operating room environmental contamination.”
  • Ha’eri and Wiley, in 1980, applied human albumin microspheres to the interior of surgical masks in 20 operations. At the end of each operation, wound washings were examined under the microscope. “Particle contamination of the wound was demonstrated in all experiments.”
  • Laslett and Sabin, in 1989, found that caps and masks were not necessary during cardiac catheterization. “No infections were found in any patient, regardless of whether a cap or mask was used,” they wrote. Sjøl and Kelbaek came to the same conclusion in 2002.
  • In Tunevall’s 1991 study, a general surgical team wore no masks in half of their surgeries for two years. After 1,537 operations performed with masks, the wound infection rate was 4.7%, while after 1,551 operations performed without masks, the wound infection rate was only 3.5%.
  • A review by Skinner and Sutton in 2001 concluded that “The evidence for discontinuing the use of surgical face masks would appear to be stronger than the evidence available to support their continued use.”
  • Lahme et al., in 2001, wrote that “surgical face masks worn by patients during regional anaesthesia, did not reduce the concentration of airborne bacteria over the operation field in our study. Thus, they are dispensable.”
  • Figueiredo et al., in 2001, reported that in five years of doing peritoneal dialysis without masks, rates of peritonitis in their unit were no different than rates in hospitals where masks were worn.
  • Bahli did a systematic literature review in 2009 and found that “no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative wound infection was observed between mask groups and groups operated with no masks.”
  • Surgeons at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, recognizing the lack of evidence supporting the use of masks, ceased requiring them in 2010 for anesthesiologists and other non-scrubbed personnel in the operating room. “Our decision to no longer require routine surgical masks for personnel not scrubbed for surgery is a departure from common practice. But the evidence to support this practice does not exist,” wrote Dr. Eva Sellden.
  • Webster et al., in 2010, reported on obstetric, gynecological, general, orthopaedic, breast and urological surgeries performed on 827 patients. All non-scrubbed staff wore masks in half the surgeries, and none of the non-scrubbed staff wore masks in half the surgeries. Surgical site infections occurred in 11.5% of the Mask group, and in only 9.0% of the No Mask group.
  • Lipp and Edwards reviewed the surgical literature in 2014 and found “no statistically significant difference in infection rates between the masked and unmasked group in any of the trials.” Vincent and Edwards updated this review in 2016 and the conclusion was the same.
  • Carøe, in a 2014 review based on four studies and 6,006 patients, wrote that “none of the four studies found a difference in the number of post-operative infections whether you used a surgical mask or not.”
  • Salassa and Swiontkowski, in 2014, investigated the necessity of scrubs, masks and head coverings in the operating room and concluded that “there is no evidence that these measures reduce the prevalence of surgical site infection.”
  • Da Zhou et al., reviewing the literature in 2015, concluded that “there is a lack of substantial evidence to support claims that facemasks protect either patient or surgeon from infectious contamination.”

Conclusion

$850 free money monthly for black women in Georgia!

Georgia is starting a pilot program to give – with no strings attached – $850 cash a month from state tax payers (you know – the ones of all ethnicities that work and those that employ others) to 650 black women! Not any poor citizens but only black women. (I am sure that the $850 figure will increase shortly down the road.)

The program will be named “IN HER HANDS” and will initially cost $13,000,000 (yes – million!) of Georgia tax payers money. People who actually pay the taxes will have no say! It’s already decided and will be the largest guaranteed income program in the United States!!

This comes as businesses are finding it practically impossible to hire enough workers. This $850 will be on top of everything else these 650 black women receive in other benefits like Federal benefits, food stamps etc.

Why should they actually go to work at all?

I guess what they are saying is that there are no poor white women in Georgia. Nor any poor Asian women in Georgia. How about Hispanic women? No poor single dads of any race or creed? How about native Americans? Nope! This program is only for one race and one sex.

It will however only go to black women, probably mostly single mothers who didn’t care to understand about contraception, in the Forth Ward in Atlanta. This was Martin Luther Kings Jr. home where he grew up. It was he that initially promoted the idea of a guaranteed income in this country.

Can anyone say REPARATIONS?

Can anyone say COMMUNISM?

Can anyone say RACISM?

Do you want to have a good laugh? Guaranteed income is a step toward creating a more just and equitable economy is what they are saying! Who is saying this you ask?

Let me tell you all.

It is led by the “Georgia Resilience and Opportunity Fund”, and a coalition of local elected officials and nonprofits, and the nonprofit “GiveDirectly.” The program will include mainly participants who live in Atlanta but also in other parts of suburban and rural Georgia who are near or below the federal poverty line. The program will study how such unconditional cash transfers affect the financial and mental well-being of participants.

Hmmmm.

Will it actually improve their lives or will they give it to their boyfriends and/or use it to buy big screen TVs and drugs and alcohol. Will their kids actually benefit by a better standard of living?

Probably not as this particular class of citizen is not known for their good decision making. This cash will be a monthly boom to them and I believe most will waste it. It will not help in any major way local legitimate businesses or local legitimate economies.

It’s just more of that good old free stuff!!

Do any of you believe that others of similar class etc. in the state will not be clamoring to be added to the program? Do you believe this will not expand not only in Georgia but in other lunatic run, left wing extremist run blue states?

Other cities like Oakland in the Commie state of California have a similar but smaller project. The city’s website, named “Oakland Resilient Families,” described the program this way:

“A guaranteed income is predicated on the understanding that people are the experts in their own lives, and that the solutions to poverty are being created by the communities experiencing it. This unconditional, no-strings-attached income is meant to enhance, rather than replace, the existing social safety net by providing families with the flexibility to decide how best to meet their needs.”

By the way, that dumb former bar worker, far left and extremist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has stated that she wants the federal government to provide a guaranteed income of at least $1,200 a month to “most Americans.” Her other extremist Squad members and other Democrats agree!

Hmmmmm…

Anyone see a problem with this? Anyone else wonder where all the money will come from?

ABSURD: 007 to become Non-Binary? You have got to be kidding me!

Non-binary or genderqueer is an umbrella term for gender identities that are neither male nor female‍—‌identities that are outside the gender binary.

I have grown up watching Ian Fleming’s James Bond films. Ian Fleming in his novel Goldfinger wrote, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”

It now appears that Hollywood has become the enemy of white alpha male heroes and the next 007 film may seal the deal.

Have you noticed that male heroes have disappeared from the silver screen? Have you noticed that males, especially white males, are now portrayed more as villains than heroes?

Have you noticed the feminization of Hollywood to the detriment of the alpha male? BTW, have you also noticed that white heroes have been replaced by black heroes?

Have you watched on screen and felt the pussyfication and Black Lives Matter idol worshiping of the Hollywood elite?

Are you sick and tired of it yet? Many of us real men and real women are!

Woke Hollywood

The Daily Caller’s David Hookstead in his column titled “James Bond Might Become Non-Binary In The Future, Producer Says” reported:

James Bond’s future sounds like it might head down a path fans won’t like.

According to the Daily Mail, producer Barbara Broccoli appeared on the “Girls On Film” podcast to talk about what’s ahead for the legendary spy, and her comments are bound to have fans talking.

“I do, because I don’t think that we should be making films where women are playing men,” Broccoli explained when talking about whether or not the character will always be male.

However, she left the door wide open for the character to change pronouns.

Hollywood is now definitely “woke” and addicted to non-binary steroids. First we have males competing in female sports and the woke are silent. Now we may have 007 turned into a non-binary character. And again the woke are silent.

Maybe the solution is to have a non-binary male, who thinks he’s female, play the male in the next 007 film? I would laugh at this but can you picture Bruce Jenner or Ellen DeGeneres or Elliot (formerly Ellen) Page or the cisgender male drag queen RuPaul as the next 007? Seriously!

Insanity is being driven by the cancel culture and its first target was the alpha male and it is now the white alpha male. If you’re any white male you are labeled a white supremacist by Hollywood.

QUESTION: Is it just a matter of time before the black alpha male becomes non-binary?

Bottom Line

I have watched 007 from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig’s Bond, James Bond. 007 is an alpha male and has always been an alpha male. The number 007 is synonymous with the consummate alpha male character, period. 007 is the good guy who always gets the bad guy!

I am tired of watching action films where the leads are all female. This is a way of denigrating manliness. To make James Bond, and now 007, non-binary is a direct attack on every heterosexual male.

The culture war zealots have now claimed yet another victim – James Bond. Now 007 is a cisgender number without substance.

As far as I am concerned if Hollywood continues to go non-binary I will continue to boycott Hollywood.

A non-binary James Bond is the proverbial straw that has broken the camel’s back. Bond died in the last film No Time To Die, and the number 007 has died with him. Sad but true.

In Casino Royale Ian Fleming wrote, “Surround yourself with human beings, my dear James. They are easier to fight for than principles.” 

Hollywood has no principles. I will fight for the human alpha male and real woman, not what non-binary Hollywood wants.

Just call me Bond, James Bond!

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday announced his plans to take Joe Biden’s “reckless border policies” and to protect America from the flow of illegal immigration.

Gov. DeSantis made this announcement at a press conference in Jacksonville, Florida. The country is “dealing with the fallout from the reckless border policies of the Biden administration” he announced.

“It obviously was affecting us. We could tell off the bat. But what would happen was they would identify, they would have someone coming in illegally, turn them over to the Feds, and then the Feds would just put them on an airplane somewhere, put them on a bus” in different areas of the country, he explained, noting this happened in Jacksonville, Florida, as the Biden administration shipped illegal immigrants in the “wee hours of the morning” with no advance notice to the state. He added that this ended tragically, as a 24-year-old posed as a minor and ultimately committed a murder.

“If the border had been secure and the policies weren’t so reckless, that would not have happened. And we see this time and time again,” he said, adding that the cartels are “just eating our lunch.

DeSantis announced that Florida is proposing legislative reforms to fight against Biden’s Biden border crisis.

One of the priorities is to “say to any of these contractors who are involved in ferreting people — whether it’s buses, charter planes, what have you — any of those folks who are involved in facilitating this type of illegal migration in the state of Florida, they’re going to be barred from doing any business with any state or local government agency in the state of Florida,” he said.

“We just cannot be doing contracts with companies that are knowingly and recklessly facilitating bringing people here into our state illegally. I think that will be very, very important,” he added.

“I’m also going to require that any private entity that’s involved in facilitating illegal migration into Florida owes the state restitution for each person they are facilitating. Whether they’re bringing, whether they’re harboring,” he said.

“Every single person will be charged. The entities will have to provide restitution for the state of Florida,” he added.

“We’re going to make sure that the local jurisdiction is not assisting state law enforcement in our investigation on whether somebody has been brought here illegally, that that constitutes a sanctuary policy,”

Meet the German biologist hauled into court for critiquing ‘gender identity’

Ulrich Kutschera dared to question the ‘pseudo-science’ underpinning LGBTQI+ ideology.

This year marks the centenary of the birth of a man who is largely unknown to the general public, but whose intellectual legacy has a profound influence on our daily life: John Money (1921-2006), the New Zealand-born American psychologist who invented the idea of so-called gender identity.

On July 5, 2017, I gave an interview, published in a Catholic online magazine kath.net for German-speakers on a controversial topic at that time: same-sex marriage and the right of these couples to adopt children. I summarized the harsh consequences I had to face as a  result of my public statements, with reference to Money’s bitter legacy.

In the German text, “Ehe für alle? Diese widersinnige Entscheidung überrascht mich nicht” (Marriage for all? This nonsensical decision does not surprise me), I referred to my then-popular book Das Gender-Paradoxon (The Gender-Paradox), wherein I had dedicated many pages to Money and his ideas, including his failed 1965 gender-reassignment (baby-castration) experiment. He used David and Brian Reimer as experimental subjects. These twin brothers, born in 1965, later committed suicide.

Moreover, with reference to John Moneys concept of “affectionate paedophilia” that he explicitly endorsed, i.e., non-violent erotic interactions between boys and adult homosexuals, I discussed possible problems when men that are exclusively attracted to male bodies adopt an under-aged boy, to whom they are not genetically related (step-father relationship, Cinderella-effect, emotional child abuse, mother absence, and so on).

The interview sparked an outcry among German students linked to the LGTB and transgender movements. As a result, a coordinated action against my integrity as a scientist quickly followed, with negative articles in the media and a storm on the internet.

Finally, in December 2017, a public court case was opened against me by the Staatsanwaltschaft Kassel, where I was living. It was based on the absurd charge that I had invented (or “doctored”) biomedical facts and data with the criminal aim of discrediting homosexual couples, which are, according to the popular narrative, equal or superior to, a biological mother and her husband.

After several rounds of public Court hearings in 2019, 2020 and 2021, I was, with the vigorous support of an excellent attorney, acquitted of all charges on March 2 this year. You can imagine how relieved I was.

The Judge of the Landgericht Kassel explained in detail that my statements are protected by my right to free speech, independent of whether or not they are factually true.

Because the German tabloid press (Bild-Zeitung, Die Welt, Hessenschau.de etc.) continued to claim that I allegedly “distributed false biological facts”, I responded with a 588-page book which was published in October – Strafsache Sexualbiologie. Darwinische Wahrheiten zu Ehe und Kindeswohl vor Gericht (Criminal Case on the Biology of Sexuality: Darwinian Truths on Marriage and Child Wellbeing in Court). 

I first summarize the life and achievements of the hero and the villain of this story: Charles Darwin (1809–1882) and John Money, respectively. I also profile the Russian biologist Konstantin Mereschkowski (1855–1921), who may have had paedophile tendencies, but nevertheless was a world-class scientist and the spiritual father of the theory of symbiogenesis.

I then describe the biological basis of bi-parental sexual reproduction, the Darwinian paradox of homosexuality, and the two uses of the word paedophilia. The first is Money’s “affectionate paedophilia” and the second is the mental disorder of  erotic paedophilia, as defined in 1901 by the Austrian Psychiatrist Richard von Krafft-Ebing (1840–1902). I document that Krafft-Ebing’s “disorder in sexual preference”, which does great harm to the victim, whether boy or girl, and Money’s notion of non-violent “surplus of parental love”, are distinct biological phenomena, although some overlap may occur.

This so-called “love for girls or boys” (the original meaning of the word paedophilia) exists almost exclusively in men, although Money’s “eroticized surplus of parental love” may also occur in some lesbians. I have several references to the latter.

And then I describe the witch hunt I experienced in court. All of my arguments, which rested on solid scientific publications and monographs, were ignored by the State Prosecutors. I was in the ring against the quasi-religious gender ideology invented by John Money. I discovered that this pseudo-scientific system has become a dogma in mainstream German politics.

Allow me to summarise the basic tenets of John Money’s gender identity ideology. Its core belief is that humans are social constructs with malleable biological features. It may be hard to appreciate how radical this notion is. Ever since Darwin’s masterpiece, On the Origin of Species, appeared in 1859, evolution has been the dominant scientific framework for human behaviour.

Gender ideology places Darwin in the rubbish bin. One hundred and fifty years of science, the science to which I have dedicated my life, have been junked. People fret about backwoods rednecks who believe in “creation science”. This is far worse. Humans are deemed to be social beings without an evolutionary past; men and women are equal members of the same genetically identical clone. (See my earlier article in MercatorNet, “An evolutionary biologist dissects gender theory”.)

Astonishingly, transgender people are the norm and not the exception. Changing one’s biological sex from male to female (or vice-versa) is possible and good for a trans individual. X and Y chromosomes, sex hormones, and primary sex organs (testes, ovaries) are of sub-ordinate importance.

Moreover, homosexuality and heterosexuality are just different ways of making love.  Children don’t need a mother and a father; two homosexuals, gay or lesbian, can do the same job of caring just as effectively. Adoption, IVF or surrogacy are all fine, even though the biological parents have no involvement whatsoever. Children will never ask about their ancestry; they do not need a natural family with sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles, and grandparents.

And significantly, child abuse, be it physical, emotional, or sexual, happens just as often in natural families as in gay and lesbian households. Finally, Money’s affectionate paedophilia, to which I referred in my controversial interview, may be beneficial and helpful for boys in the custody of certain homosexuals, who call themselves “boy-lovers”.

During the court hearings, I refuted all of these irrational claims (as I have documented in the Strafsache book). I also presented as evidence a MercatorNet article, “A toxic combination: pedophiles, baby farms and same-sex marriage”. Even though this related a documented horror story of paedophile abuse from Australia in gory detail, the state prosecutor was again unimpressed.

The prosecutor’s message to me was simple: forget human biology and all of your inconvenient facts. Gender identity ideology frames our post-modernist worldview. Old-fashioned Darwinists (like you) should be punished for distributing false “biologistic” claims about sex and gender — especially with respect to homosexual couples, who are regarded as ideal step-parents and role models for children.

Finally, I want to quote the British philosopher Kathleen Stock, who was forced  to abandon her position at Sussex University as a result of aggressive attacks by transgender activists. “It was a medieval experience,” she wrote.

Dare I say that my German witch hunt was worse, much worse. Sussex University largely supported Stock’s right to free speech. When I was terrorized and attacked by LGBT and transgender activists, neither my former University nor any state agency came to my rescue.

The reason is clear: John Money’s postmodern gender identity ideology dominates public opinion in Germany.

Since the State Prosecutors (Staatsanwaltschaften) are under the thumb of German politicians, notably the Ministry of Justice, I expect that there will be further charges against me. I am confident that truth will prevail. As the victims of LGBT and trans persecution know, the process is the punishment. But I am not disheartened. I shall continue to fight for Darwin (who was the loving father of ten children), the evolutionary sciences, and human biology!

Jussie Smollett’s trial proves Black Lives Matter cannot be taken seriously

Racial politics takes precedence in an updated version of ‘my country, right or wrong’.

American actor Jussie Smollett has been found guilty of having staged a racist attack against himself. In 2019, Smollett hired two Nigerian body builders to pose as Trump sympathizers who allegedly attacked him and tied a noose around his neck— a powerful symbol of racist hatred in the United States.

Right-wing media is having a field day with this verdict, as it exposes the fact that claiming to be a victim has become a profitable business. Pundits have been especially hard on US vice-president Kamala Harris, who soon after the incident (but before police investigators disclosed that Smollett had staged the whole episode), tweeted: “[Smollett] is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or colour of their skin. We must confront this hate.”

This is unfair, and those who are going hard on Harris are overusing the benefit of hindsight. Harris did rush to judgement, but don’t we all? In fact, at the time, this was the compassionate thing to do for any politician. When the truth was revealed about Smollett’s hoax, Harris tweeted again expressing how frustrated and disappointed she was at Smollett’s foolish act.

Be that as it may, Harris’ approach is vastly different from Black Lives Matter’s position. During Smollett’s trial, Black Lives Matter issued the following statement: “In our commitment to abolition, we can never believe police, especially the Chicago Police Department (CPD) over Jussie Smollett, a Black man who has been courageously present, visible, and vocal in the struggle for Black freedom. While policing at-large is an irredeemable institution, CPD is notorious for its long and deep history of corruption, racism, and brutality.”

This is proof that Black Lives Matter cannot be taken seriously. Yes, racism still exists in the United States and other Western countries. Yes, police brutality is still an issue (although not with the racial disparities that the Left attributes it).

But, like it or not, you need police in any society, for as in Hobbes’ famous phrase, homo homini lupus, man is wolf to man. That is why Black Lives Matter’s claim about police being “an irremediable institution” is preposterous. And even worse, despite the mountain of evidence against Smollett, Black Lives Matter simply refuses to acknowledge the hoax, justice be damned.

At the end of the day, Black Lives Matter is yet another example of gung ho identity politics. Whereas the old Latin jurists liked to proclaim Fiat justitia ruat caelum (“let justice be done though the heavens fall”), groups such as Black Lives Matter prefer to favour an old jingoistic phrase, “my country right or wrong!”, although in their reformulation, it is “my race, right or wrong!”

It would of course be unfair to claim that Black Lives Matter invented the subordination of justice to identity politics in the United States. OJ Simpson’s trial in 1995 was a preview of the madness that was to come in the ensuing decades, with one juror infamously admitting that she voted to acquit Simpson only as payback for previous episodes of racism in the United States. It is quite evident that, very much as that juror, Black Lives Matter does not care about evidence. For them, Jussie Smollett ought to be considered not guilty — not because the evidence against him is weak, but simply because to undo racism, black men ought not to be punished, no matter what crime they commit.

At the time of Simpson’s acquittal, 80 percent of African Americans believed Simpson was innocent. By 2015, about 50 percent believed so, on par with white Americans. There are probably many factors as to why this decrease took place (not least of which is Simpson’s erratic behaviour ever since his acquittal), but whatever the reason, it was an encouraging sign of healing between whites and African Americans in the United States, and a sign that for an increasing number of people of all races, justice is more important than identity politics.

Black Lives Matter seeks to undo that, all in the name of antiracism. Sadly, its leaders don’t realize how counterproductive this is, even for their own goals. Sooner or later, there will be a real racist attack somewhere in the United States. But as in Aesop’s fable, having cried “Wolf!” in the most pathetic way during the Smollett trial, Black Lives Matter will have an extremely hard time persuading the public when the real wolf comes. Black Lives Matter is a joke. We can only hope that a new brand of rational and sensible activists arises and pushes Black Lives Matter’s idiocy aside, in order to truly strive towards the eradication of racism in society.

A remnant of the Obama administration, Jen Psaki has mastered the art of shamelessly dissembling before a largely friendly press corps and has proven relentless in her efforts of omit or distort facts, spin events, highlight the inconsequential and diminish the consequential.

But this soulless android in the service of the Biden administration may have, indirectly through misdirection or incidentally by disinformation, broken all three laws of Robotics:

First Law

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Hotel USSR: A new book by Oleg Atbashian

I’m happy to report that I’ve just published my second book, Hotel USSR. It’s a story of а young man coming of age in a totalitarian state. He wants to be an artist but he isn’t authorized to buy paints. He wants to see the world but the authorities brand him as politically unreliable. He wants to get married but the system separates him from his bride. He listens to Hotel California and wishes he had their problems: he himself is stuck in a real-life trap that he “can never leave,” and he calls it Hotel USSR. To check out, he must break every rule in the book.

This young man is me and this is my real life story. People have often asked me what growing up in the USSR felt like. This book is my answer. It’s illustrated with my own drawings and paintings, which I did in my twenties before I quit drawing. The reason for quitting is in there as well.

In addition to it being humorous and entertaining, I hope this story can be an eye-opener for younger people who may naively believe in the false promise of socialism. Rather than debating Marxism directly, I demonstrate how it fails in practice and what absurdities ensue when the entire state lives in denial of its failures, forcing people not to trust their own eyes. The book describes socialism as an attempt to regulate human existence in cumbersome ways that defy human nature, leaving no doubt that to build “real socialism that works” is no more possible than to build a house based on an optical illusion.

2021: The Year Murder Gripped America — 12 Cities Have Broken Annual Homicide Rates

12 major cities hit all-time homicide records, and 2021 is not over yet. These 12 cities all have one thing in common. They are all run by Democrat Party mayors. Many of whom have defunded the policy. In addition, many of our cities have radical Soros funded DA’s, who have enacted radical bail reform laws. This is why criminals are flourishing in cities all across the United States.

It’s official: 2021 is the year of record-blasting murder rates. At least a dozen of America’s largest cities have shattered annual homicide records this year—and 2021 isn’t even over yet.

By the way, all 12 of these cities are run by Democrats. Liberals spent the past year and a half letting criminals off the hook and demonizing brave law enforcement officers while pushing to defund them. Their anti-police, crime-encouraging actions directly coincided with a 45% jump in the rate of police officer retirements across the country. Now, violence is exploding in our communities. Chicago takes the cake for the highest number of killings in 2021 at 739 (and counting). In Philadelphia, more people (521, to be exact) have been murdered this year than in America’s two largest cities.

One New York police officer said, “It’s worse than a war zone around here.” This frightening fact should be enough to convince Democrats to abandon their soft-on-crime strategies and stop the violence. All Americans deserve leaders who protect them.

A $1.9 Trillion Disgrace 😔

Remember when the Democrats passed a $1.9 trillion COVID “stimulus” bill, only about five percent of which went toward combating COVID? Nine months later, it’s clear: This costly move has done nothing but damage our economy and cripple American families. 

In a report from earlier this week, the Manhattan Institute’s Brian Riedl explains how: 

  • It added $1.9 trillion to our already massive national debt. In interest payments alone, the government will be paying$60 billion every year for the foreseeable future.
  • It exacerbated skyrocketing inflation—by pouring loads of cash into an economy already crumbling under a supply chain crisis. Prices rose an astounding 6.8% in November.
  • It sent anti-recovery unemployment checks to workers as businesses tried to boom back from lockdowns. Now, workers are getting back to work much slower than expected.
  • It funneled cash to states that didn’t need it (see California) and banned them from using the money to refund taxpayers.

This stimulus scheme was the most expensive bill passed in five decades. Now, Dems are trying to beat their personal record by pushing to pass another $1.75 trillion socialist nightmare before Christmas. How many times do we need to say that this would be horrible for America?
