CNN Accidentally Reveals the Left’s New Religion — and It Isn’t God

CNN finally says the quiet part out loud: the Left has chosen socialism over America.

Every once in a while, the mask slips — not because someone pulls it off, but because they forget they’re wearing it.

This week on CNN, America got one of those rare, honest moments.

And it was breathtaking.

Their senior data reporter Harry Enten didn’t rant.

He didn’t editorialize.

He didn’t accuse Republicans of terrorism or domestic extremism or any other word the Left uses to describe people who still know what bathroom to use.

No — he just showed the numbers.
And the numbers revealed the truth the Left normally hides:

Democrats are officially the Socialist Party of America.

Not “leaning.”

Not “flirting.”

Not “experimenting.”

They’re in. Whole hog.

And if you’re thinking, “Martin, that sounds dramatic,” well… CNN said it. Not me.

Here’s the jaw-dropper:

Net popularity of socialism among Democrats climbed from +7 in 2010 to +36 today.

That’s a 30-point surge toward socialism in 15 years.

At the same time, capitalism — the system that created the most prosperous, generous, faith-bold nation in human history — has collapsed among Democrats from +8… to –13.

Let’s translate:

Among Democratic voters today, socialism is “great,” capitalism is “bad.”

To them, success is oppression.

Hard work is privilege.

Private property is theft.

And the government is god.

They won’t say that last part — not openly — but watch what they worship.

It isn’t the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

It’s the god of centralized power, forced equality, and state-approved morality.

The Bible says, “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

The modern Left replies, “What if we try the government?”

But here’s the kicker CNN didn’t mean to highlight:

Socialism is a winner among Democrats —but in the real world, the world outside Brooklyn coffee shops and college faculty lounges?

It’s poison.

Among all Americans, capitalism is +12.

Socialism is –18.

That’s a 30-point gap.

Which is why Republicans are thrilled the Democrats are embracing the “S-word” like it’s a warm blanket and a soy latte.

They can run against this for the next decade.

So what does this mean?

It means the Left has finally stopped pretending.

The party that once whispered socialism is now shouting it from the rooftops and electing candidates who proudly wave the flag of government control, cultural revolution, and ideological conformity.

We used to warn that Democrats were inching toward socialism.

We were wrong.

They sprinted.

And now they’re cheering it.

When you become a paid subscriber to Majority Report, your tax-deductible gift to Christian Action Network opens the door to every corner of our work—FrontLinesCultureScreenedProphecy & AIThe LedgerFilmsClassroom Watch, and more.

But here’s the deeper truth most pundits won’t say:

This isn’t just politics.

This is spiritual.

Marxism, socialism, communism — these aren’t economic systems.

They are rival religions.

They promise salvation without God.

Redemption without Christ.

A perfect heaven — run by bureaucrats.

And like every false religion in history, it leads, not to paradise, but to cruelty, coercion, fear, and eventually the gulag.

When you erase God, you don’t get freedom.

You get tyranny.

America stands at a crossroads

The numbers don’t lie.

And neither does Scripture:

“You cannot serve two masters.” — Matthew 6:24

We will either serve God or we will serve the government.

One gives life.

The other takes it.

And right now, one major political party has made its choice.

So here’s my question to you:

If the Left can openly preach socialism —are we ready to openly defend faith, freedom, and the American way of life with the same conviction?

Or will we sit quietly as the nation that honored God becomes the nation that replaces Him?

My prayer is that Christians wake up — not tomorrow, not next election — now.

The future of our republic and the souls of our children depend on it.

If you want America to remember who we are —

If you refuse to bow to the new socialist golden calf —

Then you’re in the right place.

Because here, we will never worship the state.

We worship God — and fight for the country He blessed.

Autopen Presidency: Biden White House Faked Command, Bureaucrats Not Biden Were Running the Nation

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Republican-majority) released a report titled “The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House”, alleging that Biden experienced cognitive and physical decline during his presidency.

WATCH: House Government Oversight Committee: The actions signed by Bidens Autopen are Null and Void

House Republicans are calling on the Justice Department to launch an investigation into the Biden administration’s use of an autopen.

The report says that some executive actions (including pardons/commutations) were signed via the presidential autopen—a device that replicates the president’s signature—without clear documentation that Biden personally authorized them.

Specifically, the GOP report argues that in the absence of documented direct approval, the actions might be considered “void” or “illegitimate.”

The allegations include that Biden’s aides “exercised presidential powers without authorization” and that the chain of command was compromised.

Byron Donalds: Unelected bureaucrats ran the US with an autopen while an elected POTUS sat on the sidelines in cognitive decline.

This is the biggest cover-up in US history.

A months long House investigation has concluded that President Biden “was losing command of himself” while in office and was not personally involved in many of the pardons, commutations and other executive actions signed by an autopen. The Oversight and Government Reform Committee asked the Justice Department to “address the legal consequences” of House investigators’ conclusion, which “deems void” executive actions and clemency warrants signed by the autopen during the Biden administration that do not include documentation proving the president made the decision. “The Committee requests that you investigate all executive actions taken during the Biden Administration to ascertain whether they were duly authorized by the President of the United States,” Chairman James Comer wrote (Washington Times).

“The Biden Autopen Presidency will go down as one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history. As Americans saw President Biden’s decline with their own eyes, Biden’s inner circle sought to deceive the public, cover-up his decline, and took unauthorized executive actions with the autopen that are now invalid,” House Oversight Chairman James Comer said in a statement (Just the News).

The $15 Billion Pig-Butchering Scam That Enslaved Thousands

Why America Needs a Federal Anti-Scam Bureau Now.

Somewhere in Cambodia, men and women sit behind locked doors, beaten and starved—forced to type scripted messages that drain American families of their savings.

This week, the U.S. Justice Department announced the largest crypto forfeiture in American history—about $15 billion in bitcoin tied to a sprawling “pig-butchering” scam network.

Prosecutors say the operation used trafficked workers in violent compounds to run romance-and-investment cons on an industrial scale.

The alleged architect, Chen Zhi, chairman of Cambodia’s Prince Group, has been indicted and remains at large.

This was not a handful of bad actors.

They paid for mansions, yachts, private jets, even fine art—bought with the life savings of ordinary people.

Here’s the hard truth: as long as scam syndicates can freely target Americans—and freely move their loot—the abuse continues.

The current patchwork of agencies is not built for this new kind of cross-border cyber-fraud fused with human trafficking.

What must change:

America needs a dedicated Federal Anti-Scam Bureau—with the mandate and tools to

coordinate international takedowns with Treasury, State, and allies.

If you haven’t done so already, add your name: Sign the Federal Anti-Scam Bureau petition

Every signature tells Congress this isn’t “online mischief.” It’s organized crime plus modern-day slavery—and it demands a focused, permanent response.

How Should Christians Think about Artificial Intelligence?

As investors rush to cash in on the current boom in artificial intelligence (AI) and as AI creeps more and more into the everyday lives of Americans, Christians are left to wonder how to approach the burgeoning technology and guard against its dangers. A panel discussion at Family Research Council’s 2025 Pray Vote Stand Summit last weekend explored how Christians should think about AI.

Over the weekend, it was reported that a study out of MIT has helped to confirm the fears of numerous technology skeptics and observers that AI is contributing to the dulling of the human brain. The study found that the more internet assistance (such as ChatGPT and internet search engines) that a student uses to help complete an essay, “the lower their level of brain connectivity, … [with] significantly less activity in the brain networks associated with cognitive processing, attention and creativity.”

Jon Frendl, a tech entrepreneur and founder of the custom app development firm Cappital, warned of the negative effects that AI can have on the brain during Saturday’s Summit discussion.

“[W]e spend calories in our brain, and biologically we want to try to spend less to get to where we want to go, [so] we can kind of be lazy sometimes,” he explained. “… [We can] get the answer from ChatGPT but miss that growth of the wisdom muscle. That’s a real problem fundamentally, and so that’s one area … as parents with our kids to teach them to be skeptical. Classical education does this really well, … to flex those wisdom muscles [and have] conversations with our kids about AI. … Let’s show them AI lying and just saying things off the cuff that are clearly not true. Plant that doubt so they understand and they can flex that wisdom muscle and grow it.”

But it’s not just AI’s contribution to the loss of cognitive abilities that worry parents. Reports are emerging of minors being goaded into committing suicide by AI chatbots, as well as the continued decline of mental health linked to social media, which software engineers like Brandon Maddick say is likely to get worse with AI.

“If we’re engaging with these conversational AI tools on a regular basis, with personal conversations in a way that animates them beyond their tool capabilities — if that’s a danger for adults, you can only imagine the danger that it is for children,” he emphasized during the Summit panel. “I’m sure you all have seen news articles of the mental health crisis that is only going to be expanded upon with the advent of AI chatbots. And it’s scary to think about the future where the kids that are three, four, five, six today grow up and are in high school, and a third of them, their best friend is an AI. So I think there’s definite risks that can drive wedges between the familial relationships, as folks try to replace those with AI chatbots that cater to their every need.”

Frendl further cautioned that Christians must start preparing for a world in which AI will grow at an exponential level, which could affect livelihoods.

“[T]he way to really do a lot of work in AI is you build several AIs that help to build even better AIs, and those better AIs help you build even better AIs. So there’s an exponential nature to that,” he explained. “And when you combine that with the amount of investment across the board internationally, and then really you can look at power companies and chips, which are the fundamental things necessary behind this. … This is just getting started, and it’s going to radically change things at such an exponential [level].”

“But,” Frendl continued, “one of the hopes I have, … I think people are going to probably get pretty scared, probably lose a lot of jobs. Unfortunately, it’s going to be really hard. I think they’re going to be running back into the churches and they’re going to need embrace, right? I think that’s going to happen. I think that’s going to be the place of human connection that they’re hungry for. ‘The AI chatbot they fell in love with hit its context window and was gone. You know, maybe I need to go to church.’”

Maddick, who serves as head of product for the Christian AI platform Dominion, went on to argue that Christians must engage with emerging technology in order to establish moral and ethical guardrails.

“[I]f Christians don’t engage with AI at all, we will be left behind because the enemy is going to use it,” he underscored. “[I]t is a tool, [which should] not [be used] for personal conversation to replace … your relationship with your parents, or your relationship with your kids or your pastor. Using it in the automated, productivity enhancing ways that it’s designed to be used for is how … we can reap the benefits without seeing many of the harms. I think a model that’s not optimized for engagement, but is instead optimized for productivity rather than personalization is a good step in that direction.”

As to a general strategy for how Christians should approach AI, Frendl detailed a three-pronged course of action.

“[F]irst of all, free will,” he insisted. “We should never submit to AI — AI submits to us. It is a tool that we use. … The second is sober mindedness. I would make the argument that being sober minded means using our brains. … Have the mental fortitude to think through things, have wisdom and intelligence on something which you can grow, then you’re going to do that even more with AI. … [T]he third is love. I think we must have a critical look at what’s happening here in the context of love, and this thing’s trying to get me to start feeling like it’s there for me in ways that are inappropriate.”

Practical advice for parents to guard their children from the dangers of AI starts with disabling voice options, Frendl contended. “Don’t use voice with the kids. … Keep it to text. Because when you increase more senses and it starts sounding like a human, it’s easier for [children’s] pathways to think that this is personified. They made it that way for engagement. … So just use a text. … Just give me the facts.”

Maddick concluded by advising families to build relationships and foster community as an antidote to the isolating effects of AI and social media.

“[G]et out in the community with your kids,” he urged. “Find a set of like-minded parents and have your kids form human relationships. Social media is probably 1% of what we’re going to see with this, because the information you put on social media is tiny compared to the conversational information you’re putting into these machines. We’ve already seen the impact of social media fragmenting our communities, fragmenting families, fragmenting the kids community in their grade at school. Ensuring that your kid has human connections, … that your community starts to come back together is the solution to this, because technology is funneling us all into our different corners of the internet. … [We must] connect in person and form real human communities again.”

AI Platforms vs Workflow Engines The Difference You Need to Know Now

In this episode we discuss the common problem of conflating AI platforms with workflow engines like Zapier or N8N. They explain that a new “stack” for agentic solutions requires more than just the large language model (LLM) itself. While workflow engines are useful for connecting apps and creating simple “if/then” logic, they can quickly become brittle and unmanageable when dealing with the complexities of managing multiple AI agents and their underlying conversational logic.

The solution is adopting a dedicated AI platform for centralized management. Rich uses the analogy of separating a website’s front-end from its back-end database to illustrate the importance of separating the agent’s management (platform) from the workflow logic. This approach prevents the need for a developer to manually adjust hard-coded logic every time a business user wants to make a simple tweak to an agent’s instructions, ensuring greater flexibility and fault tolerance.

We also discuss the benefits of this integrated approach for scalability and control. A platform allows a single, well-maintained agent to be used across dozens of workflows, preventing the “nightmare” of having to update 30 hard-coded copies of an agent every time a model is upgraded. The hosts stress that while workflow engines are a valuable part of the stack, an AI platform provides the centralized management, security, simplicity, and speed needed to build a scalable and sustainable AI workforce.

10 Key Takeaways:

  1. A new technology stack for AI agents requires different layers beyond just the LLM.
  2. Workflow engines (like Zapier, N8N, Make) are useful for connecting applications and creating simple, “if/then” logic.
  3. Workflows can become “spaghetti” and unmanageable at scale, making them hard to maintain and prone to breaking.
  4. A dedicated AI platform provides a central hub for oversight and management, preventing workflows from becoming brittle.
  5. A platform separates the agent’s core logic (prompts, training, communication) from the workflow itself.
  6. This separation is analogous to a website’s front-end and back-end, allowing for greater flexibility and control.
  7. Platforms enable business users to make simple updates to agents without a developer having to modify hard-coded logic in a workflow.
  8. A single agent on a platform can be deployed across many workflows, avoiding the nightmare of managing dozens of hard-coded copies.
  9. AI platforms are designed for centralized management, security, simplicity, and speed, which are often sacrificed in hard-coded solutions.
  10. The combination of a platform and a workflow engine maximizes ROI by providing both centralized control and complex sequencing capabilities.

The Ultimate AI Co-worker: How One Finance Team Found its AI Spark

Constellation Software’s finance team, led by their CFO, Shikha Gandhi, initially met a company-wide AI music video contest with reluctance. The timing was terrible, dropping in the middle of their busiest period. Despite their initial hesitation, which included groans and accidentally deleting the contest emails, the team decided to participate. They wanted to avoid being the only team without a submission and saw an opportunity to apply their experience with basic AI tools, like using ChatGPT for planning and Copilot for writing emails, to a more creative project. The team was inspired by their unofficial mascot, Shikha’s dog, Bosch. They decided to create a rap video inspired by Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy.” Using ChatGPT to generate lyrics and other AI tools for music and storyboarding, they completed the project in just a few hours spread across a couple of weeks, proving that a creative use of AI could be both fun and efficient.

This small creative project helped the team slowly realize AI’s potential went way beyond simple daily tasks. The process of refining prompts for the music video taught them to be more specific with their requests, a skill they realized was directly transferable to their financial work. However, they soon hit a wall—or what’s often called the ‘valley of despair’—when they tried to apply these creative learnings to automating their manual financial processes. They discovered a significant gap between the user-friendly consumer-facing AI tools they used for the video and the complex enterprise-level solutions required for finance. They realized the biggest hurdle was not the AI itself, but the lack of integrated, clean, and centralized data systems.

The episode concludes with a serious discussion about the major challenges of implementing AI in a large corporation. The hosts emphasize that while AI has incredible potential, a company’s data must be “AI ready.” This requires the heavy lifting of consolidating messy, disparate data sources—like Salesforce and QuickBooks—into a single, unified data lake that AI can easily access and process. They explain that the common misconception that “AI will fix it” ignores the foundational problem of “garbage in, garbage out.” The hosts suggest that this consolidation is the necessary, albeit daunting, first step to fully unlocking the benefits of AI for complex business functions.

Tron: Ares — The End of the Screen Actors Guild and Hollywood?

Tron: Ares | The Evolution

In an October 9, 2025 Indei Wire article titled “How the Original ‘Tron’ Changed Movies Forever, and Why It Didn’t Win an Oscar in 1983Jim Hemphill wrote:

With “Tron: Ares” opening in theaters this weekend, we take a look back at the 1982 original that revolutionized CGI and influenced nearly every science-fiction film to come — even though it wasn’t even nominated for a visual effects Oscar.

In the late 1970s, filmmaker Steven Lisberger began experimenting with backlit animation, a process in which colored light shines through clear sections of animation cels to create unique and beautiful effects. Lisberger achieved success applying the technique to commercials and educational films, while also keeping a close eye on developments in the relatively young field of computer animation.

During this time, he wondered: Was there a way to apply the technology to a feature film? When video games started to catch on in a big way, Lisberger saw a world that lent itself to the techniques he had perfected.

He wrote a treatment about a brilliant game creator named Flynn who was ripped off by his boss and had to hack his way into the company’s computer system to find the evidence. When trying to break into the computer, Flynn is shot by a laser that digitizes him and places him inside the computer, where he must fight alongside “programs” — avatars for the programmers who created them — to get to the truth and find his way back out to the real world.

In the original film Tron Legacy a brilliant video game maker (Jeff Bridges) hacks the mainframe of his ex-employer, he is beamed inside an astonishing digital world and becomes part of the very game he is designing.

Today we have the first Artificial Intelligence actress.

The Martin Mawyer reported:

Meet Tilly Norwood. She’s young, beautiful, and — much to Hollywood’s horror — not real.

WATCH: Hollywood’s Newest Actress Is AI-Generated

She’s the world’s first AI “actress,” created by Dutch comedian and producer Eline Van der Velden.

Tilly isn’t a flesh-and-blood woman who signs contracts, storms off sets, or sues her director. She’s an algorithm in a dress. And Hollywood is in a full-blown panic.

The Screen Actors Guild is clutching its pearls. Agents are sweating. Movie stars are wailing that “art is dead.”

You can picture it now: Beverly Hills prima donnas with mascara running down their cheeks, stylists fainting in hair salons, and producers screaming into their oat-milk lattes.

Because deep down, everyone in the industry knows what this means: actors and actresses are no longer indispensable.

Think about the savings.

AI doesn’t need stunt doubles, makeup trailers, or a hotel suite with twenty-seven white candles and a personal hairdresser flown in from Milan.

No food budget. No personal assistants. No entourages demanding first-class flights and organic yak butter. No late-night calls to bail your lead actor out of jail. No lawsuits. No #MeToo exposés.

Just performance — cheap, efficient, and drama-free.

And for conservatives, here’s the beauty: no more sanctimonious Oscar speeches.

No more overpaid actors lecturing America about politics, faith, or morality while cashing million-dollar checks.

Tilly Norwood will never “bravely” tell you to shut up about your religion or move to Canada if the wrong candidate wins. She’ll just show up on screen and deliver her lines — without a single lecture.

Yes, the elites will fight. They’ll threaten to strike, sue, and cry about “the death of the craft.”

But money always wins in Hollywood. And money says: Why pay George Clooney when a hard drive does the job without demanding royalties or a private chef?

So here it is: the end of an era.

TRON ARIES IS ABOUT GOOD AI VS EVIL AI

The film TRON: Aries is fundamentally about good vs. evil. On the one hand you have a good AI programmer Eve Kim, played by Greta Lee, who wants to create a lasting AI reality to help mankind. On the other hand you have another AI programmer Jullian Dillinger, played by Evan Peters, who uses his programs to try to steal the code from the good AI programmer Eve Kim. We won’t tell you who wins, if you want to know watch the film.

More importantly today, in Tron: Ares | The Evolution, we are witnesses to the growth of Artificial Intellegence’s impact on film making.

Like it’s predecessor Tron: Ares has now made the first step in fundamentally transforming film making.

A full 20% of this Disney Studios remake is AI. Additionally 20% of the actors and actresses are AI. This truly is the beginning of the end of an era in film making.

We predict that within the next two years you will see films produced exclusively using AI actors and actresses like Tilly Norwood to make featured films and television series.

These films will cost less, provide the same visual experiences, and more, to movie goers.

The Film Actors Guild, unions, camera crews, and living actors and actresses will be replaced. There will still be producers and directors. But the main people driving the movie industry will be AI programmers.

We have now gone from computer animation to AI. It’s like going from the internet to AI.

Wait and see if our prediction comes to pass.

Republican Buys Dominion Voting Systems, Forces Them To Drop Lawsuits Against Conservatives

Dominion Voting systems has been acquired by founder and chairman of Liberty Vote Scott Leiendecker, in a deal which included dropping lawsuits against conservatives.

Leiendecker, former GOP election reform advocate, has officially become the sole owner of Dominion after making the deal contingent on dropping several remaining lawsuits against prominent conservatives and One America News Network (OANN).

Leiendecker further disclosed to the Caller that remaining litigation with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell will be dropped by Dominion Voting Systems as part of the acquisition agreement.

Dominion also filed a lawsuit against Herring Networks, which owns OANN, in August 2021. The lawsuit remained unresolved, though Leinendecker further confirmed that future litigation will be discontinued following the acquisition.

The Liberty Vote will be inheriting ongoing litigation with former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne, the Daily Caller has learned.

The acquisition makes Dominion a fully American-owned company — a shift Leinendecker says is designed to strengthen public confidence, enhance transparency and rebuild trust in the integrity of U.S. elections.

“Every legacy system is under review. Liberty Vote will be 100 percent American-owned, American-built and independently audited. We won’t ask for trust — we’ll earn it and prove it,” Leindecker told the Caller in a statement.

The election technology company is being marketed to champion reforms aimed at ensuring every American’s vote is secure and accurately counted, according to a press release.

Under its new leadership, Liberty Vote will move its operations entirely to the United States. The company says it is prioritizing election integrity by implementing third-party auditing standards, the same release added.

“Liberty Vote signals a new chapter for American elections — one where trust is rebuilt from the ground up,” Leiendecker stated in the press release. “Liberty Vote is committed to delivering election technology that prioritizes paper-based transparency, security, and simplicity so that voters can be assured that every ballot is filled-in accurately and fairly counted.”

In addition, the company is prioritizing the use of hand-marked paper ballots to strengthen election security and compliance. This initiative aligns with President Donald Trump’s executive order titled, “Preserving And Protecting The Integrity Of American Elections,” which is designed to safeguard the electoral process and uphold federal standards.

Since the 2020 election, Dominion has launched several major defamation lawsuits, including a $1.3 billion case against Lindell, accusing him of spreading false claims about the company’s role during the 2020 presidential election to boost his pillow sales.
The company filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Powell over what Dominion described as “wild accusations” that it rigged the 2020 presidential election to secure a win for former President Joe Biden.

Dominion has also filed a separate $1.3 billion lawsuit against Giuliani — a close ally of Trump — alleging he repeatedly promoted baseless claims that Dominion rigged the election in favor of Biden.

Newsmax Media Inc. reached a $67 million settlement with Dominion in August in relation to its defamation lawsuit over the outlet’s alleged defamatory coverage of Dominion regarding the 2020 presidential election.

The company previously reached a $787.5 million settlement with Fox News who agreed to pay the voting software company in April 2023.

Video on What Digital ID is, and How it Already is Being Used for Tyranny in Multiple Countries

Please watch every word of this. I will likely go through it once or twice more to try and extrapolate to what this system of digital ID is meant to do. One suspects that it will make cash pointless as well. A store will have all their inventory tracked all the time. Everyone they sell to will be logged. The state will know everything everyone bought. Selling to someone for cash will be a crime, and cash could quite easily itself become a crime to use. Or if you have to show digital ID to use cash if it isn’t then what is the point of using cash? I dunno I need to watch this and think on it some more.

Digital ID: Europe’s Test Run for Global Control.

And good luck organizing a counter narrative protest of any kind in the future. Any protests that do take place, will likely be state sponsored. As nearly all of them are now.

The most chilling moment from our perspective was when he said that in Georgia, (I believe he said) they used it to freeze bank accounts and other services of lawyers who represented clients that are accused of acting counter to state interests. So the right of a defence, poof. Gone.

We’ll Forget the Movies. But Mixed Reality Will Eat at Your Soul.

You’ve probably seen the term “mixed reality” tossed around lately — usually attached to some sleek new headset from Apple, Meta, or Microsoft. The phrase sounds like tech-babble, but here’s all it means:

Mixed reality is when your real-world surroundings are blended with computer-generated images so convincingly that digital objects seem to exist right there with you.

Think of it like this: you’re in your living room, wearing a pair of glasses. You still see your sofa, your coffee table, and your child playing. But through the lenses, you also see something that isn’t really there — maybe a life-size puppy chasing a ball across your rug.

As you walk around, the puppy darts behind the coffee table and disappears from view just like a real dog would. It feels real because your brain sees it interacting with the real world.

This isn’t science fiction. Apple’s Vision Pro and other headsets already do it.

And that’s where the danger begins — because in this new world, the line between watching and living disappears.

We forget what we watch. We become what we experience.

That’s not poetry. That’s neurology.

We’ve all binged a show — scary, sad, violent, peaceful, whatever — and for a couple of hours, we feel everything. Our hearts race at the jump scares. We cry at the ending. We feel uplifted or disturbed.

But a week later? It’s mostly gone. Ninety percent of the plot evaporates, and with it most of the emotional residue. Our brains know we only watched something.

But what happens when we don’t just watch — when we live it?

Mixed reality is not just a new screen; it’s a new environment.

When you put on those glasses, you’re not looking at a story; you’re inside it. Your eyes, ears, and nervous system react as if it’s real.

The adrenaline, the cortisol, the emotional bonding — all the things your body does during real life — fire off as though you’re actually there. And your brain encodes those moments not as a movie you watched but as an experience you had.

That’s why veterans flinch at fireworks years after combat. That’s why people who’ve lived through disasters remember the sounds, smells, and heartbeats decades later.

The body remembers experience — it doesn’t forget.

So, picture a child “living” a violent game, not on a screen but in their actual bedroom. Or a lonely teen “dating” an AI-generated partner who seems utterly real.

These aren’t just pixels. These are memories being written into their nervous system. They’re not watching pretend. They’re participating.

The technology companies pitch mixed reality as the future of entertainment, education, and work. But very few are asking what it does to the human soul when the line between imagination and incarnation blurs. How do we recover from experiences that never “really” happened but that our bodies and hearts believe did?

Because here’s the truth — and it’s not going away

We forget what we watch. But we never forget what we live.

Mixed reality is moving us from one to the other. And if we don’t start thinking about the psychological and spiritual costs now, we may find ourselves living in memories we never actually lived — but can never escape.

Join the movement. Share the truth. Support independent Christian media.

Public Trust in Mainstream Media Falls to New Low

Nine months into President Donald Trump’s second administration, the American public’s trust in mainstream media has cratered to an all-time record low. According to a Gallup poll published Thursday, a mere 28% of Americans say that they trust mainstream media a “great deal” or a “fair amount” to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly, down from 31% last year. Meanwhile, 36% of Americans say that they have little trust in the media and 34% say that they have no trust in the media at all, totaling 70% who simply do not trust mainstream media outlets.

Age and political affiliation play a role in predicting trust in mainstream media, according to Gallup. Only 8% of Republicans say that they trust mainstream media, the first time that Gallup has recorded single digits in it’s 53 years of studying the question, and 62% of Republicans say that they don’t trust mainstream media at all. Among Independent voters, 27% report trusting mainstream media, 38% say that they have very little trust, and 32% report no trust at all. Democrats are the only political group with a majority (51%) expressing trust in mainstream media. Only 9% of Democrats say that they don’t trust mainstream media at all.

When examined by age, those aged 65 or older have the highest rate of trust in mainstream media at 43%, while only 28% of those aged between 50 and 64 and those aged between 18 and 29 express trust in media. Those aged between 30 and 49 reported the lowest level of trust in media at only 23%. Republicans of all age groups have the lowest rate of trust in mainstream media: 12% among those aged 18 to 29, 6% among those aged 30 to 49, 8% among those aged 50 to 64, and 17% among those aged 65 or older.

Among Independent voters aged 18 to 29, trust in mainstream media stands at 29%, at 24% among Independent voters aged 30 to 49, at 23% among Independent voters aged 50 to 64, and at 42% among Independent voters aged 65 or older. Democrats aged 18 to 29 trust mainstream media at a rate of 38%, at a rate of 42% among Democrats aged 30 to 49, at a rate of 59% among Democrats aged 50 to 64, and at a rate of 69% among Democrats aged 65 or older.

“Confidence in the mass media is historically low, with fewer than three in 10 Americans now placing trust in newspapers, television and radio to report the news fully, fairly and accurately,” Gallup senior editor Megan Brenan wrote of the statistics. “With confidence fractured along partisan and generational lines, the challenge for news organizations is not only to deliver fair and accurate reporting but also to regain credibility across an increasingly polarized and skeptical public.”

Tim Graham, an executive editor with the Media Research Center’s (MRC’s) NewsBusters, said in comment to The Washington Stand, “Trust in the media has collapsed because everyone has figured out the media now exist to elect Democrats and destroy Donald Trump.” He continued, “They’ve sought not merely to defeat him politically — they’ve sought to bankrupt him and put him in jail for the rest of his life. Their toxic ardor against Trump has led most people to see them for the partisans they are.”

“Everyone knows the media play on the team of the Democrats, which is why Democrats trust them most. But even there, Democrat numbers are lower, because they’re apparently not pro-Democrat enough, just as many Democrats think their national leaders aren’t doing enough to destroy Trump,” Graham posited. “Part of the decline in trust isn’t just the bias. It’s that the press has undercut the credibility of all the other institutions in society, leading to an overarching cynicism that comes back to bite them,” he observed. “But their arrogance about how they are saving democracy daily clearly suggests cynicism is in order.”

According to a June 26 report from the MRC, mainstream media outlets CNN, MSNBC, and PBS used variations of the label “far right” over 1,200 times between Trump’s inauguration and June 21, compared to only 86 mentions of the “far left.” Additionally, despite days-long riots targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and multiple assassination attempts against Trump the previous year, mainstream media outlets were 5.5 times more likely to associate political violence with the “far right” than the “far left.”

Why Most AI Projects Fail Before They Start

Most people and businesses believe that implementing AI is a simple process: you input your data, and an AI magically generates value. However, this episode breaks down this misconception, highlighting the significant work that exists in the “missing middle.” This middle piece is a deep dive into data science, a non-glamorous, but vital step that is often overlooked. AI, while it may seem intuitive, is fundamentally driven by mathematics and requires clean, organized, and properly formatted data to function efficiently. This is the main reason why many AI projects fail before they even start—because they skip this critical, time-consuming phase of data preparation and normalization.

Lee and Rich introduce three foundational “laws” of AI to help listeners reframe their understanding of its true nature. The first law is simple: what you put in is what you get out. An AI agent is only as good as the data it is trained on. This means that a project with an ambiguous scope and low-quality data will inevitably produce poor results. The second law is that what is being used is getting better. They stress that AI is an iterative tool that learns through use, and continuous reinforcement learning is necessary for it to become truly effective. The final law is a reminder not to judge AI by human standards. AI does not think, it mimics; expecting it to behave like a human will only lead to frustration, as its purpose is to process information and complete tasks in a mathematically efficient way, not to replicate human common sense or intuition.

We also discuss the common budget and expectation issues that can derail an AI project. Arguing that many businesses are “hungover” from previous, large-scale tech implementations that promised a lot but delivered minimal return on investment. This has created a natural resistance to another big investment. However, they clarify that AI doesn’t require a monolithic investment. Instead, it should be viewed as an iterative, phased process. The most significant benefit of AI is not replacing humans, but rather accelerating a business by addressing the human capacity issues that cap efficiency at around 60-70%. AI should be seen as a great accelerator that allows employees to reclaim time from mundane tasks and focus on high-value work, which is the ultimate goal of any worthwhile investment in technology.

Key Takeaways:

  • The “missing middle” of AI refers to the essential and often-overlooked data science work required to prepare data for a model.
  • The first law of AI is, “what you put in is what you get out,” meaning the quality and relevance of your training data directly impacts the AI’s performance.
  • The second law of AI is, “what is being used is getting better,” emphasizing that continuous use and human feedback are crucial for an AI’s improvement.
  • The third law of AI states that you should not judge it by human standards, as it is a mathematical mimicry tool, not a human replacement.
  • Many companies are hesitant to invest in new technology due to bad experiences with previous large-scale, high-cost tech implementations.
  • AI projects should be approached iteratively, with a reasonable scope and phased training, rather than as a single, large investment.
  • The primary purpose of AI is not to replace humans, but to serve as a great accelerator, boosting human productivity and freeing up time.
  • The most significant return on investment comes from using AI to automate work and unlock human potential from repetitive tasks.
  • A consumer’s experience with easy-to-use models like ChatGPT can create unrealistic expectations for building a custom, business-specific AI.
  • The human plus AI combination is currently the most powerful force in innovation, as humans provide context and intuition to the AI’s raw processing power.
