Thursday evening, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel approached me and asked if I had interviewed a soft-spoken professor. He had viewed a YouTube video that had been sent to him from a Facebook page. I smiled and told him, that the person he referred to in YouTube video was Dr. Richard L. Rubenstein, a contributing editor and esteemed colleague at the New English Review.
I also explained that Dr. Rubenstein is a noted Jewish theologian, an ordained Rabbi from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Dr. Rubenstein also holds a Master in Theology (S.T.M.) from Harvard Divinity School and was awarded a Ph.D. from Harvard University in History and Philosophy of Religion. Further, he is a Lawton Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Religion at Florida State University where he taught for 25 years and is a President Emeritus and Life Trustee of Bridgeport University in Connecticut.
I further explained to my friend that Dr. Rubenstein is the author of seminal works concerned with the aftermath of the holocaust, After Auschwitz; History, Theology and Contemporary Judaism, and history of surplus populations, The Cunning of History. Of increasing importance is Dr. Rubenstein’s, Jihad and Genocide that presents a stark warning to co-religionists and all Infidels of their fate under the Qur’anic doctrine and Islamic Shariah law. More about Dr. Rubenstein’s several careers, lengthy publications list and honorary degrees can be found here. Dr. Rubenstein recently celebrated his 91st birthday in January 2015. He lost his beloved wife and guiding light, Dr. Betty Rogers Rubenstein, after 47 years of marriage in 2013.
The video my friend referred to was one of a series of interviews we did at the 2010 NER Symposium with the able assistance of a team from The United West, J. Mark Campbell and Alan Kornman, fellow counter-jihad activists. Samples of their fine work during the 2010 NER Symposium can be found here. When the YouTube video of Dr. Rubenstein’s interview and provocative comments about President Obama were posted back in 2010, it literally went viral, reaching over a million hits within a few weeks.
My curiosity about my friend’s comments about Dr. Rubenstein’s 2010 interview prompted me to do a Google search. After finding the Facebook page he referred to I noted the tens of thousands of views it had recently received. Dr. Rubenstein’s comments about President Obama were prescient in retrospect when he first made them in 2010. They are relevant given the myopia on display by the National Security echelons in the Oval Office and the President’s recent press conference remarks.
Criticism has arisen with the President’s referring in a Vox.com interview to “randomized attacks” against unidentified Jewish victims at a kosher supermarket in Paris. Then there is the public consternation over the lack of a strategy that begs the necessity of defining the nature of the threat to “degrade and defeat” the Islamic State that lies bestride war torn Syria and Iraq like a Jihadist colossus. An Islamic State that has attracted tens of thousands of foreign Jihadists flocking to its doctrinal cause of promoting the Salafist exemplar, the Prophet Mohammed of 14 Centuries ago. That is following the way of Allah, Jihad, seeking ultimate Islamic domination of the globe by slaughtering thousands of religious minorities, Christians, Jews and Buddhists as captives in the Middle East and attacking hapless victims in the West.

Highlights of the Summit included:
A discussion of the nature of our jihadist enemies and the mainstream – not extremist –character of their inspiration: the politico-military-legal shariah doctrine derived from the sacred texts, institutions and authorities of Islam. There was widespread agreement that we must understand and be able to name our foes, not pretend that they and their motivations are unknowable.
The global jihad takes various forms including: the violent kind; civilization (or cultural, stealthy and subversive) jihad; institutional jihad (employing entities like the multinational Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations under the OIC’s influence); individual jihad (its perpetrators are mistakenly being described as “lone wolves”); and material support (which, under shariah, is prized as highly as the service of those who take up the sword).
America urgently needs a strategy for countering all such jihadist endeavors – one that brings to bear all instruments of national power to achieve a decisive correlation of forces and our victory. We face a truly existential threat from the global jihad movement, as do other nations of the Free World now under assault for sharing our values and love of liberty.
The National Security Strategy unveiled last Friday by President Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, and the draft Authorization for the Use of Military Force being proposed by the administration are wholly inadequate. The former compounds the inadequacies of the President’s “lead-from-behind” approach with an even more passive one: “strategic patience”; the latter appears calculated to fail and to embolden, rather than defeat, the Islamic State or any other foe.
Instead, the summit discussed an alternative, modeled on the counter-ideological strategy President Reagan laid out in his National Security Decision Directive 75 – his administration’s plan to destroy Soviet communism. Speaker Gingrich, Senator Cruz, General Mukasey and a number of the other speakers recommended this plan of action – dubbed the “Secure Freedom Strategy” (full document HERE; highlights HERE) – as a point of departure for the debate now getting underway regarding President Obama’s proposed AUMF.
The Center for Security Policy’s President, Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., moderated the nearly six-hour summit. Afterwards, he commented:
The participants in the Defeat Jihad Summit have rendered a real public service. Their insights, analyses and recommendations concerning the threat from shariah-adherent Muslims and the need to empower and join forces with others in the Muslim community who eschew that brutally repressive ideology create the basis for a far more sound, effective and durable national security strategy.

Muaaz Hassan’s blatant lies, caught on this video, bring shame and dishonor on CAIR. The obsessive teeth cleaning raises Mr. Hassan’s visibility to the level of laughable, socially embarrassing, and a big clue that Muaaz Hassan has no control over his apparent obsessive compulsive disorder.
Yet, Muaaz Hassan is a liar with possible OCD who is the public face for Hassan Shibly and Nihad Awad.
Is it any wonder Muaaz Hassan and Hassan Shibly are laughing stocks with many in the FBI and Law Enforcement.
CAIR makes a cottage industry of violating the civil rights of most everyone who challenges Islamic Doctrine and Theology. Muaaz Hassan is a national level player in CAIR’s propaganda efforts trying to destroy all who expose them as the Terrorists they are.
So once you get past the absurdity of Muaaz Hassan’s lies and inappropriately embarrassing teeth cleaning, this film exposes some fatal flaws that have been plaguing CAIR’s ability to effectively hide the fact that they are buffoonish Terrorists.

Of course we do have a very weak leader as President and this has to factor into our passive reaction to Islamic terrorism. Although Obama is weak, there are still Islamic terrorists who would have an advantage in America if they could blackmail U.S. politicians.
It is not very difficult to hide bombs with enormous explosive energy inside a small place. It is not beyond the mindset of Muslim terrorists to plan ahead for mass casualties of their enemy. Remember the Boston Marathon bombing? A small yet very effective attack by Muslims.
Can Americans imagine what would happen if a dirty radioactive or biological bomb was planted in schools across the United States in shopping malls, or in major sports stadiums?
Attorney Tracy Rizzo was the recipient of one of 25 threatening letters claiming there are nuclear bombs hidden all over the country.
Attorney Tracy Rizzo was alarmed. A number of days ago, an envelope, with a Chicago postmark and a hand-written address to her private investigations firm, came in the mail.
The letter inside said, “The Al-Qaeda organization has planted 160 nuclear bombs throughout the U.S. in schools, stadiums, churches, stores, financial institutions and government buildings.” It also said, “This is a suicide mission for us.”
This theory is not a new concept or threat from Muslim terrorists. If bombs are already planted in America, this of course hinders our ability to effectively fight Islamic based terrorism.
Hopefully a trustworthy journalist from a trustworthy media network will investigate this theory in greater detail and report the results to the American public. The only hindrance is that America has few trustworthy journalists and even fewer trustworthy media outlets.

A history book used in school districts across the state is sparking controversy in Seminole County.
A parent called 9 Investigates after finding out his son was learning too much about the Islamic religion in a public classroom.
Ron Wagner read from part of his son’s world history book, “There is no god, but God. Muhamad is the messenger of God.”
Wagner is not reading the Five Pillars of Islam from the Quran, but rather his son’s 10th-grade world history book from Lyman High School.
“Students were instructed to recite this prayer as the first Pillar of Islam, off of the board at the teacher’s instruction,” Wagner claims.
Wagner, who is not religious, said he had no idea the public school was teaching so extensively about religion until he spotted a text on his son’s phone from a teacher reminding him to complete a prayer rug assignment and study an Islam packet.
“For it to be mandatory and part of the curriculum and in the textbooks, didn’t seem right,” Wagner said.
Inside of the book is a chapter dedicated to the “Rise of Islam,” including prayers and scriptures from the Quran. What’s more disturbing for Wagner is that the first 100 pages discussing Judaism and Christianity are missing. The district blames a manufacturer defect in 68 books that are only a year old.
According to Wagner, Dr. Michael Blasewitz, who oversees the high school curriculum, said, “The Pillars of Islam are benchmarks in the state curriculum.”
Wagner’s concerns prompted a district investigation that found the teacher never tried to indoctrinate or convert students.
Some other students interviewed by administrators said they were not required to recite the prayer aloud. They did discuss a video played during class about the religion, but Blasewitz got frustrated and stormed out when 9 Investigates asked whether the district is considering changes to the curriculum.
“You’re just going to walk away from our interview when we’re trying to get information,” said investigative reporter Daralene Jones.
Before Blasewitz walked out, he further justified the curriculum, saying students learn specific Judaism doctrine, the Bible and its scriptures, in earlier school years.
“If anything, it’s a little imbalanced toward Christianity and Judaism,” Blasewitz said.
Federal law allows schools to teach about religion, because it’s part of history. But public schools may not teach religion.
“There’s a difference between teaching of the significance or the impact of a religion and teaching the specific tenets of a religion,” Wagner said.
9 Investigates was told the district will reconsider this book when the contract is up in three years. Some districts in South Florida have requested the publisher rewrite portions because of the controversy. The Florida Family Association (FFA) states, “Public schools funded by tax dollars should not be instructing students to participate in the religious practices of Islam including but not limited to reciting prayers. Such activities go beyond education. How is it possible that school officials and teachers did not notice that 100 pages related to Judaism and Christianity were missing from textbooks?”

Mr. Blasewitz’s numerous statements to WFTV’s 9 Investigates appears to justify the recitation of Islamic prayer and omission of the 100 pages. Blasewitz said “The Pillars of Islam arebenchmarks in the state curriculum.” Blasewitz “further justified the curriculum, saying students learn specific Judaism doctrine, the Bible and its scriptures, in earlier school years. “If anything, it’s a little imbalanced toward Christianity and Judaism,” Blasewitz said. His arrogantly walking out of the interview after giving this position is incriminating.
