Soros’ Philanthropic Empire Pumped A Quarter Million Into Israel-Designated Terrorist Organization In 2023

The Soros family’s Open Society Foundations in 2023 gave $250,000 to the European wing of Al-Haq Human Rights Organization, an Israeli-designated terrorist group, according to a grant database.

Israel’s government determined that Al-Haq was an “arm” of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, in 2021. In addition to the Israeli government’s designation, Al-Haq’s general director, Shawan Jabarin, was convicted in 1985 of recruiting and arranging trainings for the PFLP and several of the organization’s members have made comments supporting militant extremist groups like Hamas.

Last year wasn’t the first time the Soros family’s philanthropic network has given money to Al-Haq. Open Society Foundations donated over $2 million to the organization between 2016 and 2020. The most recent donation, however, represents the first time the Soros network has disclosed a new donation to Al-Haq since the Israeli government designated it as a terror organization.

Open Society Foundations’ grant to Al-Haq will “support work on human rights, legal research and advocacy in Europe,” according to a grant database.

“For years, Al-Haq, a Palestinian NGO linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) — an internationally designated terrorist organization — has pursued a strategy seeking to eliminate Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people and to legitimize violent attacks against its citizens,” an unreleased report authored by Israeli watchdog NGO Monitor and obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation reads. “A central aspect of Al-Haq’s activity is arguing to Western elites — parliamentarians, government officials, diplomats, academics, journalists and students — that Israel is inherently illegitimate.”

Al-Haq has “operated on [the PFLP’s] behalf and upon its instructions as part of the terror organization’s struggle against Israel,” according to the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The PFLP has launched rockets at civilians, hijacked planes and ordered suicide bombings, according to the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Jabarin, the head of Al-Haq, attended a memorial event for a PFLP leader in 2019, according to a Palestinian media report.

Aseel Al Bajeh, a legal researcher and advocacy officer at ‎Al-Haq, reposted a quote from Ismail Haniyeh, a senior Hamas political leader, the day Hamas carried out mass terror attacks across Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people while also engaging in mass rapes and kidnappings. Ahmed Abofoul, another legal researcher and advocacy officer at Al-Haq, said on X that the United Nations secretary-general’s call for Hamas to stop killing civilians and release hostages was “morally abhorrent” because “Palestinian resistance” is “permitted by international law.”

Abofoul has defended the PFLP on X, according to the Washington Examiner. Al-Haq head of training Ziad Hmaidan encouraged Palestinians to attack Israel and praised “jihad” just days after the Oct. 7 attacks.

Al-Haq denies any links to the PFLP. Open Society Foundations condemned Israel’s designation of Al-Haq a terror group in 2022, saying that it “remains fully committed to its support for Al-Haq.”

Open Society Foundations was previously led by billionaire philanthropist George Soros, but his son took over the organization in 2023. Alex Soros described himself as “more political” than his father in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

“There is strict U.S. anti-terrorist legislation that determines which organizations a foundation like OSF can fund,” an Open Society Foundations spokesperson told the DCNF. “We devote a lot of effort to ensuring full compliance. None of our partners have ever been designated under U.S. law as supporting terrorism.”

Al-Haq did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Dem kingmaker George Soros’ son Alex hosts Tim Walz in his fancy NYC home

Left-wing megadonor Alex Soros hosted Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz in New York City this week – just a month after he rubbed elbows with high-powered Dems at the party’s national convention.

Soros, the 38-year-old son of billionaire liberal kingmaker George Soros, posted a series of photos of himself and the Minnesota governor set against the lower Manhattan skyline on Tuesday.

“Such an honor to host VP candidate @timwalz at my home in New York City,” the investor wrote on Instagram.

The high-profile meetup came as dozens of politicians and heads of state from the US and around the world converged on the Big Apple for the United Nations General Assembly.

Following his initial August meeting with the Minnesota governor, the Soros scion described himself as “Walzified! Walzpilled.”

They Alex Soros and Abedin, who  Page Six reported became engaged earlier this year, also hobnobbed with other high-profile Dems at the event, including the Clintons.

On the second night of the convention, Soros caught up with former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Who’s still backing Biden? Soros and the left!

The extreme-Left finds Biden quite useful because he traded his authority to them in exchange for the presidency.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Biden coup. The widespread Dem donor revolt has gotten both Schumer and Pelosi to privately pressure Biden to step down.

As the number of House and Senate Dems telling Biden, privately and publicly, to leave, where is his support coming from?

The New York Times notes that among the revolting donors, “there are a few exceptions.

Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, has been the most voluble supporter of staying the course.

Alex Soros, the head of one of the Democratic Party’s most generous families, has urged the party not to abandon Mr. Biden.”

Notably, Bernie Sanders vocally came out in support of Biden staying in. The ‘Squad’, normally troublemakers, has either stayed silent or backed Biden. AOC has also backed Biden.

What’s going on here? Beyond the obvious, following the money, from Soros to the Squad, the Left finds Biden quite useful because he traded his authority to them in exchange for the presidency.

Biden cut deals with Elizabeth Warren that stacked the government with her radicals and then Obama negotiated a similar deal for Bernie.

Shaking up the system doesn’t benefit them. Maybe Kamala would let them play the same game, but what if it’s someone else? Someone they can’t ride around the barnyard?

And while establishment Dems are terrified of a Trump apocalypse, lefties figure they can do very well for themselves once again by radicalizing their party even further and staging four years of riots.

AOC isn’t worried about losing her seat. Neither is Bernie. That’s something for the party leaders to worry about.

Meanwhile, they can cash in their chips for political support.

The endorsements and behind-the-scenes strategizing reflect a careful calculation that Biden offers the best hope for advancing liberal policies — and that such policies offer the best hope for reviving Biden’s political fortunes, according to people close to Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez.

The New York Democrat also has spoken privately with White House officials to push for more aggressive government interventions, particularly on housing, a top concern for young voters, according to two other people familiar with the matter, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect private negotiations.

Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are expected to continue pushing Biden to endorse a wider range of their policy positions — a strategy that carries clear risks for both sides.

One adviser to lawmakers on the left, speaking on the condition of anonymity to candidly critique the strategy, said: “If Biden’s not going to be president, what do these concessions really do?”

They create facts on the ground. Especially if they can get Biden to move on some policies. Even if they’re not implemented, they create a new high water mark.

The Left knows what it’s doing even if Biden doesn’t.
