Biden is offering a pardon to this murdering brutal communist dictator cockroach that has killed over 20 opposition activists, jailed close to 2,500 opposition activists, threatened to invade neighboring Guyana, and caused over 8 million Venezuelans to flee their own homeland for safety and security.
This slimy greasy Marxist then accepted the results of perhaps the biggest election fraud in this hemisphere’s history besides Trumps stolen election by Biden’s deep state golem’s in 2020.
The national security interests of the United States are severely impacted by allowing this retarded keratinous creature Maduró to remain in power in Venezuela.

Speaker Mike Johnson(R-La.) called on President Bidento release weapons to Israel after a suspected rocket attack injured several U.S. service members on the Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq.
“After repeated attacks on American troops in the region, and while Israel is under threat from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, the U.S. cannot hesitate to defend our servicemembers and our ally,” Johnson said in a Tuesday statement.
He added that any attack by Iran against Israel or the U.S. should be “met with decisive force,” with the U.S. and its allies in the region working to “strongly counter Iran and its terror proxies to send a clear message against these malign activities.”

The U.S. Department of Energy is allocating $2.2 billion in grants for upgrades of the power grid to make it more resilient to extreme weather events and accommodate more renewable energy.
Oilprice.com reports that the jolt of federal funding will add to private-sector financing to support eight grid upgrade projects across 18 states.
According to the Biden administration, the DOE funding is expected to support the construction of more than 600 miles of new transmission lines and the upgrade of about 400 miles of existing lines so that they can carry more current.
This has nothing to do with hardening the power grid in a way that could withstand an EMP attack by Russia or China.
Experts such as the late EMP Taskforce Director Dr. Peter Pry have been calling for this kind of upgrade for years (you can read about Dr. Pray’s warnings herefrom the Center for Security Policy).
Instead, what do we get? A so-called upgrade that will place more emphasis on more expensive and less reliable renewable energy, i.e. wind and solar.
This is a sham project that panders to climate alarmists instead of listening to national security realists in the vein of Dr. Pry.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said in a statement carried by Reuters:
“The first half of 2024 has already broken records for the hottest days in Earth’s history, and as extreme weather continues to hit every part of the country, we must act with urgency to strengthen our aging grid.”
U.S. utilities and regulators have raised significantly their forecasts of peak power demand in the coming decade, but that has almost nothing to do with climate change.
The real reason for needing upgraded capacity is the expected exponential growth in electricity demand stemming from the massive new data centers being built all over the country to support the growth of generative AI.
AI uses an incredible amount of electricity to collect, process and store information 24/7 in real time. These AI data centers also require a tremendous amount of water resources to keep the computers cooled.
This is part of the cost of living in the growing global AI-powered surveillance state. And it’s a cost almost nobody is talking about.
Not only will we lose all privacy. We will pay for our own enslavement in the form of higher taxes and utility bills.

All of the big corporate players in this space are cooperating with the government to censor and ultimately punish those who challenge the globalist narratives on everything from vaccines to wars, abortion and euthanasia, election integrity issues, immigration and border issues, and their sacred LGBTQ issues.
Moreover, we must get past our American propensity to always gravitate to the highest and newest technology. What’s fastest and most convenient is not always what’s safest and most conducive to a free society.
The more we can ditch the electronic monitoring devices such as Ring doorbell, baby monitors, Amazon Alexa, etc., the better off we will be. Even smart phones can pick up your conversations. Have you ever noticed how you receive ads about a given product or service soon after discussing those products with a friend or family member? AI will increase these capabilities exponentially.
Avoid smart meters and smart thermostats, smart appliances, smart cars and smart homes like the plague. They’re all spying on you!
Pay with cash whenever possible.
Buy actual physical books and don’t rely on electronic versions of anything. That includes the Bible. It may not remain available forever.

Financial reports continue to indicate that in the three and a half years that have elapsed since the Biden-Harris administration came into office, the percentage of American households that have become financially insecure has grown. Experts say that the administration’s economic policies have contributed to the increase in poverty, particularly by exacerbating inflation through massive federal spending increases, which in turn caused interest rates to spike.
Following a sharp increase in federal spending as part of an emergency COVID relief package that former President Donald Trump signed in December 2020, the Biden-Harris administration and congressional Democrats continued the same level of spending in 2021 and 2022 instead of letting the emergency spending expire, spending $5.9 trillion more than what was spent in pre-pandemic 2019. As pointed out by economic expert J.T. Young, this “excessive spending has helped over-weight demand relative to the supply of goods — too much money chasing too few goods,” causing prices to rise.
When Biden took office in January 2021, inflation was at 1.4%. By March, it had risen to 2.6%, and by January 2022, it ballooned to 7.5%. Six months later, it peaked at 9.1%, a 40-year high. But by December 2022, the rate was still at 6.5%. Currently, the rate is at 3%, which Young noted is still well above the Federal Reserve’s acceptable target rate of 2%.
As Young went on to observe, this was “only half of Americans’ pricing squeeze. The other half comes from the huge jump in interest rates that the Federal Reserve had to implement to cool Biden’s spending-infused inflation inferno. Eleven times the Fed was forced to hike rates, taking them from 0.25-0.50 percent in March 2022 to 5.25-5.50 percent in July 2023,” where it remains currently.
“So, Americans are trapped between inflation’s twin pressures: The prices they pay and the money they borrow,” Young added.
According to data that has recently come to light, the economic situation is continuing to have enormous financial consequences for vast swaths of U.S. households. As reported Wednesday by The Epoch Times, a nonprofit that tracks household budgets called United For ALICE (UFA) has estimated that, according to its most recent available data from 2022, 42% of American households are facing an impossible choice every month: “Pay the rent or put food on the table.”
While the data for 2023 and 2024 has yet been published, recent trends indicate that the struggles have only continued. A Forbes Advisor survey from last year found that 40% of respondents reported living paycheck to paycheck, with 29% saying they could not cover standard expenses. In July of this year, financial services provider LendingTree reported that since 2022, financially insecure households have grown from 34.1% to 36.4%.
“It shouldn’t be terribly surprising,” remarked Matt Schultz, LendingTree’s chief credit analyst. “The perfect storm of record debt, sky-high interest rates, and stubborn inflation have resulted in many Americans’ financial margin of error shrinking to virtually zero.”
Another factor that is hampering millions of households is stagnant growth in wages. Kristen Rotz, president and CEO of United Way of Pennsylvania, told The Epoch Times that 2023 and 2024 have seen virtually no change. “Inflation is slowing, but wages, though increasing somewhat, are still lagging. The cost of the basics outpaced wage growth.”
As a result, food banks from Brooklyn, N.Y. to Michigan are experiencing record demand. A Port Huron, Michigan food bank told the Epoch Times that it recently served a record 38 families in one day. “Groceries are so expensive,” a volunteer observed, stating that the average value of a food pick-up per family is $150. “That amount does not even cover their whole weekly grocery bill. We supplement their food budget so they can pay the rent or car expenses. It’s inflation and the economy that is driving people to us.”
In Brooklyn, about 2,500 people come to the Council of Peoples Organization every week for food, a vast increase from the few dozen that came weekly before the pandemic. According to Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Razvi, many of those coming for the food aid cite sky-high housing costs as a primary reason for not being able to afford groceries. Since the pandemic, home prices have soared 54%.
Republican lawmakers are contending that the financial struggles millions of American households have been experiencing under the Biden-Harris administration are unlikely to change if Vice President Kamala Harris is elected president.
“Every day, the American Dream moves further out of reach, and hardworking Americans are feeling the consequences of the Harris Price Hikes everywhere — from the grocery store, to paying rent, to filling up their cars to get to work,” stated Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) last week.
House Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-Mo.) expressed similar sentiments. “One thing Democrats cannot change is the Biden-Harris economic record: 20 percent rise in prices and skyrocketing interest rates preventing families from buying a home and small businesses from growing. Whether it was supporting the trillions of dollars in Democrat spending that overheated the economy or endorsing the absurd claim that inflation was transitory, Kamala Harris has been in lockstep with every one of Joe Biden’s radical economic policies.”

The U.S. subsidiary of a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer and its top executive have given hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign cash to Democrats in recent years.
Stella Li, a top executive for BYD Americas, and the company itself have given tens of thousands of dollars in campaign cash to Democratic candidates and organizations in California and beyond over the past decade, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of federal and state political spending records. Based in China, BYD is the biggest EV producer in the world, and Congress moved in January to ban the Pentagon from buying its batteries due to security risks, according to Bloomberg News.
For example, BYD and Li gave more than $40,000 to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) between 2020 and 2023, according to the DCNF’s review of political spending records. The company and Li have also poured more than $30,000 into organizations boosting President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection effort to date.
Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom received about $60,000 from Li and BYD USA between 2018 and 2023. Newsom drew scrutiny for his administration’s decision to give BYD a $1 billion no-bid contract to supply protective equipment during the coronavirus pandemic despite the company’s core competency being in a different business, and Newsom subsequently took a BYD vehicle for a publicized test drive during a 2023 trip to mainland China.
Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa received more than $10,000 from Li to help his failed 2018 gubernatorial campaign, while the California Democratic Party received approximately $19,000 from Li and BYD USA between 2018 and 2020, according to the DCNF’s review of political spending records.
Michael Anotovich, former Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and an architect of California’s bullet train project, received more than $11,000 from BYD USA and its executives in 2015 and 2016 to help his political career, according to the DCNF’s review of political spending records. Anotovich often governed in ways that benefited BYD, such as when he, along with Villaraigosa, steered millions of dollars from a Los Angeles municipal clean bus testing program toward BYD, the Los Angeles Times reported in 2018.
Additionally, BYD USA forked over $25,000 to a 501(c)(4) organization called California For Safe, Reliable Infrastructure in 2018, according to the DCNF’s review of state records. Californians For Safe, Reliable Infrastructure was an organization that opposed the failed Proposition 6 in 2018, which would have repealed a 12 cent per-gallon tax on gasoline passed the prior year and required voter approval for future tax or fee increases on gasoline.
Ed Chau — formerly a member of the California State Assembly — raked in $7,000 from BYD USA and executives to boost his ambitions in 2018 and 2020, according to the DCNF’s political spending records review. Notably, Chau nominated Li for a “woman of the year” prize in his district in 2018.
Meanwhile, BYD USA and Li gave Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de Leon more than $19,000 in 2017 and 2018, according to the DCNF’s review. Notably, then- President pro Tempore of the California Senate de Leon said that “California and the rest of the nation needs more companies like BYD that take opportunities presented by policy and turn it in to job creation” regarding the 2017 ribbon cutting ceremony for BYD USA’s expansion of its Lancaster, California manufacturing facility.
BYD is one of the biggest EV manufacturers in the world, though its Americas subsidiary focuses specifically on electric trucks, forklifts, and buses, according to its website. The company is reportedly examining options for penetrating the U.S. EV market by way of Mexico, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recently-finalized tailpipe emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles may end up benefiting BYD USA in the long-term, according to analysis by HEATMAP, a climate-focused publication.
The company has expanded its presence around the world in recent years under the “impetus” of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), according to a 2018 paper published in Advances in Economics, Business and Management Research. The BRI is a $1 trillion Chinese government effort to build infrastructure projects and accrue economic influence in other countries that is “widely recognized as an economic power play that could challenge U.S. influence geopolitically,” according to the Jamestown Foundation.
Additionally, BYD is touted in severalarticlesposted to an official Chinese government website called “Belt and Road Portal.”
Moreover, Congress has specifically flagged the company in two separate National Defense Authorization Acts (NDAA). The 2020 NDAA contained a provision that banned public funds going to boost China-linked transportation companies like and including BYD, according to The Washington Post, and the NDAA that passed in December 2023 prohibits the Pentagon from buying batteries made by BYD and five other Chinese companies starting in 2027, according to Bloomberg.
The offices of Newsom, Ma, de Leon, BYD USA, the DNC, the California Democratic Party, ActBlue, and the Biden campaign did not respond to requests for comment. Anotovich could not be reached for comment, and Villaraigosa’s current employer did not respond to a request for comment on his behalf, nor did the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, on which Chau now sits.

Notably, Bernie Sanders vocally came out in support of Biden staying in. The ‘Squad’, normally troublemakers, has either stayed silent or backed Biden. AOC has also backed Biden.
What’s going on here? Beyond the obvious, following the money, from Soros to the Squad, the Left finds Biden quite useful because he traded his authority to them in exchange for the presidency.
Biden cut deals with Elizabeth Warren that stacked the government with her radicals and then Obama negotiated a similar deal for Bernie.
Shaking up the system doesn’t benefit them. Maybe Kamala would let them play the same game, but what if it’s someone else? Someone they can’t ride around the barnyard?
And while establishment Dems are terrified of a Trump apocalypse, lefties figure they can do very well for themselves once again by radicalizing their party even further and staging four years of riots.
AOC isn’t worried about losing her seat. Neither is Bernie. That’s something for the party leaders to worry about.
Meanwhile, they can cash in their chips for political support.
The endorsements and behind-the-scenes strategizing reflect a careful calculation that Biden offers the best hope for advancing liberal policies — and that such policies offer the best hope for reviving Biden’s political fortunes, according to people close to Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez.
The New York Democrat also has spoken privately with White House officials to push for more aggressive government interventions, particularly on housing, a top concern for young voters, according to two other people familiar with the matter, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect private negotiations.
Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are expected to continue pushing Biden to endorse a wider range of their policy positions — a strategy that carries clear risks for both sides.
One adviser to lawmakers on the left, speaking on the condition of anonymity to candidly critique the strategy, said: “If Biden’s not going to be president, what do these concessions really do?”
They create facts on the ground. Especially if they can get Biden to move on some policies. Even if they’re not implemented, they create a new high water mark.
The Left knows what it’s doing even if Biden doesn’t.

President Joe Biden called on Congress Tuesday to pass legislation that would compel corporate owners of rental housing units to cap annual rent increases at 5% or lose some tax benefits.
The White House also unveiled efforts to use public land for as many as 15,000 affordable housing units in Nevada and to boost neighborhoods in Las Vegas and elsewhere.
Biden, a Democrat, is traveling in Nevada, a political swing state that he hopes to win in the Nov. 5 election against Republican Donald Trump.
“Rent is too high and buying a home is out of reach for too many working families and young Americans, after decades of failure to build enough homes. I’m determined to turn that around,” Biden said in a statement.
“Bidenomics” is nothing new. It is simply repackaged big-government communism, inspired by Karl Marx—but with a new name and face.
Just consider some of the main policy “achievements” of the Biden administration. It is full of spending increases and socialist policies. Billions in direct payments to individuals and businesses, $65 billion for businesses to expand broadband, $52 billion in corporate welfare for computer chip companies, billions in expanding socialized medicine, $80 billion for the IRS, and more green-energy incentives at the expense of taxpayers.
Major federal legislation passed under the leadership of Joe Biden—including the American Rescue Plan Act, the Federal Infrastructure bill, the CHIPS Act, and the spuriously named “Inflation Reduction Act”—have resulted in more than $4.12 TRILLION in new federal spending.
What has all of this resulted in? Nearly $33 trillion in national debt, which is roughly $100,000 owed per person in the United States (up from $27 trillion in January 2021 when Biden took office). It has also resulted in record levels of inflation, near-zero rises in wages when accounting for inflation, and a climate that continues to grow more hostile to American families and small businesses.
And that is only the beginning.
All these communist-like policies, and more, have been tried before (think Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela). They have always failed, and they will fail here too. They are explicitly designed to ensure big government is constantly intervening and controlling every aspect of the economy, private business, and American families—all at taxpayers’ expense.

President Joe Biden made a lot of embarrassing gaffes in his so-called “Big Boy press conference” last night, Thursday, July 11, including his referral to Donald Trump as his vice president. Earlier in the day he had referred to Ukraine’s illegitimate (unelected) dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “President Putin.”
But he made one other slip of the tongue that was perhaps the most telling of all and has not elicited much coverage in the corporate media. Watch video clip below.
Biden confirmed what we already have known for nearly four years, that he is not the one in control of policies, he is just following orders. He has his own “Commander in Chief,” as he stated. Even though he is theoretically holding the position of commander in chief, he has his own Commander in Chief, a superior officer to whom he reports, most likely on a daily, if not hourly, basis. He is being run.
But let’s be honest. Almost all presidents have been in this same position, to one extent or another. They all received the message that was sent very clearly on November 22, 1963, when President John F. Kennedy was brutally assassinated in what many believe was a CIA hit job.
In case future presidents still didn’t get the message, another one was sent on March 30, 1981, when President Ronald Reagan took an assassin’s bullet but survived.
If they still somehow didn’t get the message, another was sent when President Donald Trump had his entire administration undermined through false accusations about being a Russian “asset,” among other idiotic and uncreative assaults on the truth (OK, I admit the plandemic was pretty creative). The point is, the globalist deep state can literally make up anything and enough people will believe it because these same intel agencies who control the web of bureaucracies also control the corporate legacy media and the major social media platforms. They control the flow of information. They define what is regarded as accurate news and what is deemed “conspiracy theory.”
So, maybe Joe Biden is not just a doddering old fool. I mean, he is that, but due to his lack of a filter he often babbles his private thoughts out loud into a public microphone. I, for one, do not believe that all of his private thoughts are to be dismissed as the incoherent babblings a man who lacks all of his faculties. Some of what he says is dead-on truth that he simply wasn’t supposed to let leak.
Because he is not fully in control of his faculties, he is not as guarded in his speech as the previous presidents post 1963, which is when the initial coup took place, when our military and executive branch was ceded to the globalists in the intelligence agencies. That hidden hand still runs the show today in Washington, D.C.

Sure, some presidents have been more in charge of White House affairs than others. Men like President George Herbert Walker Bush were probably much more in charge of things because Daddy Bush came to the Oval Office straight out of the CIA and had been groomed his whole adult life for the presidency. But those who snuck up on the office and were not groomed, or were less groomed, had to be put in their place and were put in their place.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed on July 8 that it will intervene in a lawsuit that challenges a Georgia state deadline for absentee ballot applications and whether it is illegal under the Voting Rights Act.
In 2023, a group of theater workers challenged a provision of Georgia state law SB 202, which was passed in 2021 and requires a voter to apply for an absentee ballot 11 days before a presidential election. Their lawsuit argues that Section 202 of the Voting Rights Act mandates that voters be able to cast ballots in presidential elections if they applied seven days before an election, arguing that the Georgia law violates federal law, and requests that a court block the law’s enforcement.
The DOJ’s filing on July 8 did not make any arguments. It was a notice that it would make a filing that “exercises its right to intervene in this proceeding to defend the constitutionality of Section 202 of the Voting Rights Act,” noting that it would “submit a brief regarding the constitutionality and interpretation of Section 202” by July 22.
Earlier this year, the DOJ filed a statement expressing interest in the lawsuit that challenges the state’s 11-day application deadline and “has a substantial interest in ensuring Section 202’s proper interpretation.” The agency also argued that private parties are able to file lawsuits to enforce the section of the Voting Rights Act, which provides a “general remedy for private plaintiffs to redress violations of federal rights committed by state actors.”
Republican state officials have defended the 11-day cutoff deadline, arguing that the group of theater workers lacks the right to sue under the Voting Rights Act.
Mr. Carr said in late 2023 that the theater workers have not “come close to satisfying its burden of establishing standing.”
They instead rely “only on threadbare allegations of injury that are insufficient even at this stage,” his office wrote. “The court should … dismiss the amended complaint because Plaintiff has no private right of action under the [Voting Rights Act].”
The Republican National Committee and the Georgia Republican Party also submitted court filings in the case, arguing that the deadline rules in question should be upheld and that the plaintiffs’ case should be dismissed.
In a separate challenge to the 2021 Georgia law, a federal judge in 2023 ruled against the DOJ and voting rights groups after they claimed that the Republican-backed law intentionally discriminates against black voters by issuing new rules on providing identification for mail-in voting, restricting drop boxes, shortening the absentee ballot request, and other provisions.
Earlier this year, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed legislation—SB 189—that made new changes to Georgia’s voting laws, including defining “probable causes” for removing voters from the rolls when their eligibility is challenged.
The measure lists death, evidence of voting or registering in another jurisdiction, a tax exemption indicating a primary residence elsewhere, or a nonresidential address as probable causes for removing voters from the rolls. It also states that the National Change of Address list can be considered, although not exclusively.
This would be a capitulation on Israel’s part. Israeli authorities repeatedly vowed to destroy Hamas altogether. Instead, “neither Hamas nor Israel would rule Gaza.” But with the Biden regime so intent on saving Hamas that it is abandoning Israel, it may be the best the Israelis can get.

The Soviet Mafia and Socialist Modus Operandi
Both terms of this subtitle are familiar to you; I have been describing them in my columns and books for forty years. Both terms came from Soviet Socialism implemented in America. I had a mission to prepare you for their final accord. That means you also know that Mexican Cartels are in fact the Russian Cartels. If you know all of that, you should understand that the calamities on the border are deliberately made by Biden’s White House and the Kremlin, designed and organized by them. On May 11, 2023, the title 42 has ended and a very dangerous, full-term invasion gashed to tear apart our country in all aspects of our lives. Now a world political predicament has become even more complicated. We have Biden’s Socialist administration in America, which is playing a game of ploys with us to cover up the crime the Dems had committed. They followed Stalin’s suggestion in his postulate: “Never admit crime committed, instead accuse your opponent of that exact crime.” We have seen it for seven years. Remember also, we are dealing with Soviet Socialism, which I called Soviet Fascism and have been warning you for the last forty years. For your information, the White House is monitoring my computer and according to my writings is changing its opinions… What a Shame!

When there’s a dominant campaign then the real primary campaigns often happen years beforehand when their organization does everything possible to ‘lock up’ as many strategists, donors, and influential figures.
It can be an expensive and bruising process but then the primaries become an afterthought.
It doesn’t always work. Just ask Jeb or Hillary Clinton. But it beats the alternative of having them run around causing trouble.
Like the time some strategists looking for someone to challenge Hillary decided to create the cult of Bernie when Elizabeth Warren wouldn’t step up.
Combine unhappy donors and campaign people on the loose, and they can create alternative candidacies that mostly fizzle, but some (like Bernie) stick around, burn up a lot of money, and cause chaos.
That’s the can of worms that opened up on the Dem side in the summer of 2024.
There was virtually no primary campaign, and the Biden people have left behind a bunch of unhappy donors and strategists who had been hovering around alternative candidates that wouldn’t dare to commit.
Now a bunch of them are having fun because there’s blood in the water. And they can smell it.
The Biden campaign is struggling to control the situation, but it doesn’t have enough money or a leader at the top. And so the bleeding is getting worse.
Will Biden survive this? I think he still will, but it won’t be easy.
The consensus is slowly drifting to Kamala as an alternative, despite her unpopularity.
And unlike fantasies of bringing in Gov. Newsom or Michelle Obama, that one is achievable. It’s now a collision course. The question is who has the staying power?

In the wake of a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday examining the influence that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has gained within U.S. federal agencies, Republican lawmakers and experts are warning that the Biden administration has failed to confront China’s aggression while simultaneously pushing unwanted social policies on developing countries, which has driven them into the financial arms of the communist regime.
Witnesses at the hearing charged the Biden administration with failing to treat the CCP as an adversary for decades, leading to the unprecedented rise of China on the world stage. “The U.S. is now in a new Cold War,” argued James Fanell, a former U.S. Navy captain. “Over three decades, the U.S. had ample time to prevent [China’s] rise and to retard its growth, even to support the overthrow of the CCP, but it did not. Those strategic choices must be explained. Why did the U.S. assist, not prevent, the rise of its peer challenger? Was it entirely the result of a masterful, protracted political warfare campaign by the masters of deception, the CCP?”
Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas), a member of the House Oversight Committee, agreed with Fanell’s assessment during Thursday’s edition of “Washington with Tony Perkins.”
“[W]hat we have to recognize is that they’re [engaging in] unrestricted warfare … against the United States,” he emphasized. “… [W]e keep talking of them as competitors. We need to recognize that they’re an enemy, and they do not have the best intentions for our nation. … [T]hem replacing us as the preeminent force on the world stage would certainly not be good for humanity as well. And so we have to stand up strong. We have to recognize the situation that we’re in, and we have to be willing to make the tough decisions to push back on this communist agenda that they’re trying to foist upon the whole world.”
As Mary Kissel, a former senior advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State, noted during the hearing, one way the CCP engages in this warfare is by conducting seemingly “innocuous and even friendly exchanges” with U.S. diplomats through “sister city agreements, business chamber meetings, think tank conferences, and ‘interviews’ with Chinese propaganda outlets.”
Kissel went on to issue a warning to American businesses regarding China’s infiltration efforts. “Educating Americans on grey zone Chinese influence operations is also deeply important for our business community,” she contended. “I serve as a director of two publicly traded companies. Few American executives and directors are aware that they, like our diplomats, are prime targets of Chinese influence operations, which aim to identify prominent Americans who may now, or in the future, be convinced to aid Beijing in some form or fashion.”
Erik Bethel, former U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank, further detailed how the communist regime is attempting to shape “global development, rules, regulations, and standards” through its involvement in the International Telecommunication Union, which “impacts global telecommunications standards, with significant ramifications for technology and innovation worldwide.” Bethel also revealed how a CCP member ran the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for eight years and “seamlessly integrated it” into China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a program that has saddled massive debts on developing countries in financial distress.
As Congressman Cloud observed, the Biden administration’s penchant for pushing controversial social policies onto developing nations has ended up helping China’s BRI.
“(O)ne of the very first eye-opening conversations I had as a brand new member was with an ambassador from another country,” he recounted. “They came in and said, ‘Hey, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for the aid your country sends our country.’ And then after some time of talking, he said, ‘Can I take my ambassador hat off for a moment? … Every dollar you send our country goes against Christian values and family values. And frankly, our country would be better off if we didn’t receive any.’ And I’ve heard that same situation from a number of countries where they say, ‘We appreciate what America has stood for, and we don’t want to align ourselves with China, but China [is] working to give us ports, bridges, and roads. We know that’s a debt trap.’”
Cloud continued, “But from our State Department, they get a lecture, and it’s things that undermine the society and values that they hold dear [and] not what they want to be involved with. And so it puts them in a difficult situation. … This is not advancing any sort of strategic interest of the United States at all. It’s frankly a false religion that they’ve decided to try to foist on the world. And we’ve got to make sure that we stop their efforts to do so.”
