Dems Face Political Identity Crisis That Even Midterm Elections May Not Resolve

This year’s midterm elections will likely shape the future of the Democratic Party and determine whether the Democrats continue their trend toward radical, far-left, neo-Marxist policies or return to the more center-left position the party popularized before the end of the Second World War.

In the wake of the 2024 presidential election that returned President Donald Trump to the White House, voters reported that they considered then-Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris “too extreme.” Her policies included open borders, unrestricted abortion promotion, gender transition procedures for children, a borderline-socialist economic agenda, and more. According to NBC News exit polls, 48% of voters classified Harris’s policies as “too extreme,” while nearly 60% of voters told Fox News that they were “concerned” that Harris’s agenda is “too extreme.”

Of the more-than-one-quarter of Americans who described their 2024 presidential vote as against a candidate, rather than for a candidate, nearly 60% said that they were voting against Harris. Such survey results — in addition to Trump’s capture of both the electoral college and popular vote — seemingly indicated that far-left Democratic Party policies like those Harris championed were unpopular with the American public — unpopular enough to cost the Democrats the White House, at any rate.

Off-year elections in 2025, however, yielded mixed messaging for Democratic strategists and policymakers. Newly-elected Virginia Governor Abigal Spanberger (D) campaigned as a moderate Democrat, decisively defeating Republican opponent and ex-Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. (Despite Spanberger’s “moderate” image, she quickly began enacting far-left policies upon taking office earlier this year.) Meanwhile, avowed socialist and pro-immigration radical Zohran Mamdani not only won the Democratic nomination for the New York City mayorship, but bested former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, running as an Independent after losing the Democratic nomination to Mamdani and became the first Muslim mayor of New York City. Socialist Katie Wilson (D) won the mayorship of Seattle, St. Paul elected a mayor who admitted to being an illegal immigrant, and Downingtown, Pa. elected an openly-transgender-identifying mayor.

Now, with midterm elections looming and the specter of 2028 not far off, the Democratic Party faces a dilemma. Some strategists are pressing to distance candidates from the radical policies that crippled Harris’s 2024 White House bid, while others point to the success of figures like Mamdani and Wilson, coupled with growing discontent over the Trump administration’s handling of affordability issues, as evidence that socialism and ultra-progressive social policies appeal to voters.

Option One: Move to the middle. Sunday and Monday, the Democrat-aligned think tank Third Way hosted its “Winning the Middle” conference in South Carolina, urging Democrats to take a more centrist approach and not nominate a socialist presidential candidate in 2028. According to Axios, Third Way President Jon Cowan called the Democrats’ far-left wing “out of touch,” warning that the party would face almost certain defeat if it were to nominate someone in the mold of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), singling out ultra-progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) as a potential successor to Sanders politically.

Cowan observed that groups linked to Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez have “flipped zero” contentious seats in the House of Representatives since 2018, but a spokesman for Justice Democrats, the organization predominantly responsible for Ocasio-Cortez’s election, responded that progressive groups are more focused on launching primary challenges against “corporate Dems in deep-blue seats” than on targeting Republican-held congressional districts.

Option Two: Lean into the far-left. Various ultra-progressive organizations are trying to persuade Ocasio-Cortez to launch a bid for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, again according to Axios. “One big reason: They see no clear alternative. Bernie Sanders (84) is too old — and no other Sanders-like pol with national punch is emerging,” Axios conveyed. The argument being put forth centers largely on the New York-based congresswoman’s name recognition and political cachet, which proponents say would automatically give her a boost in polling and allow her to raise an estimated $100 million through online fundraising alone.

Another point of consideration is a matter of timing: if the nomination seems to be out of Ocasio-Cortez’s reach, she could potentially drop out and pivot to a high-profile Senate bid, challenging incumbent Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). “There’s a window of opportunity for a left-wing nominee that may not come again for a generation,” Axios reported. “Democratic-socialist and liberal victories in New York City and elsewhere — with potentially more this fall — have changed the political playing field.”

Flanked by former Sanders campaign advisors and strategists, Ocasio-Cortez and her team are reportedly keeping a close eye on congressional primaries and races this year in order to “validate the theory that voters are hungry for a left-wing outsider in 2028.” While Ocasio-Cortez has been a Sanders ally, reports suggest that she may have no interest in a White House run and could instead be preparing a network to support another far-left candidate. Other prospective White House contenders floated by Democratic Party insiders include pseudo-socialist Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and open-borders advocate Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).

If far-left, socialist-style candidates emerge victorious in high-profile congressional districts in November, or even if they defeat enough establishment-type Democrats in hotly-contested primaries, the party’s ultra-progressive wing will likely feel emboldened to run one of their own in the Democratic presidential primary for 2028.

In comments to The Washington Stand, FRC Action Director Matt Carpenter observed, “This internecine scuffle among the Democratic Party apparatchiks has been simmering since the party was dealt its biggest defeat in decades in 2024.” He recounted that shortly after Trump assumed office the second time, then-Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) David Hogg left the organization amidst a conflict over his commitment to primarying Democrats who were not far enough to the Left. “It’s been clear for a while that the fissure between the progressive and establishment elements in the party was going to widen into a canyon,” Carpenter said. “As the midterms and the 2028 presidential contest approach, these elements inside the Democratic Party will vie for control of the party.”

“My question is: is this simply a disagreement in party branding, or is this a legitimate disagreement in policy as well? The Democratic Party has planted its flag on the wrong side of a series of 80-20% issues, like late-term abortion, gender-transitioning minors, critical race theory, and so-called ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ initiatives, all of which are unpopular with a majority of voters,” Carpenter posited. “My sense is that the Democratic Party is merely debating how the party should brand itself, rather than any actual moderation in policy,” he added, pointing to Spanberger as an example. “Spanberger was cautious not to confirm accusations that she is a left-wing radical during her 2025 campaign, but in just a few short months, she has governed as a left-wing radical,” Carpenter noted. “The so-called moderates in the party will still push for the same radical abortion position and the most radical pro-transgender policies as the progressive wing. The only difference is that the so-called moderates are savvy enough not to campaign on them.”

But even if Democrats manage to secure a majority in the House in the midterm elections, the party will have to maintain momentum through 2028, and Democrats are already splintering over the potential of impeaching Trump — again. According to Semafor, Democrats are considering launching an “oversight” project if they retake a House majority, targeting corporations and firms that have cooperated with the Trump administration. “The shadow of Trump’s first term will hang over Democrats’ decisions,” Semafor opined, warning that Democrats may “encounter deep internal divisions over how far to go in conducting oversight while also passing their own agenda.”

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), for example, has already teased the possibility of impeaching Trump, specifically citing alleged violations of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which bars presidents from accepting gifts from foreign governments or U.S. taxpayers. “The cardinal, original sin of Trump was to decide that he was going to use the presidency as a profit-making enterprise in his first term, and I would say that Congress should have impeached him for receiving millions and millions of dollars from foreign governments,” Raskin claimed.

During the first Trump presidency, Raskin was the lead impeachment manager for the second impeachment of Trump, centered on the events of January 6, 2021. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), the top House Oversight Democrat, focused his attention on corporations partnering with the White House. “There [are] opportunities to look at not just corporations that we think are enabling some of Trump’s corruption,” he said, “but certainly corporations that are not supporting American families and not really focusing on affordability.”

Within just months of Trump’s return to the White House, some Democrats were already breaking out the articles of impeachment. Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) led the charge, joined by a handful of other Democrats, but party leadership was hesitant to embrace the move. Semafor noted that Democrats are aware that they likely lack the Senate votes to convict Trump even if he’s impeached in the House. However, Democratic leaders have been less averse to the prospect of impeaching Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem.

Yet a third faction of the Democrats is less concerned with political retribution and more concerned with addressing issues like affordability. “We have to do oversight and accountability, and we have to talk about the affordability agenda, how we’re going to make life better for people if we are given the opportunity to lead, and if we’re given the opportunity to govern,” Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) said. He warned that impeachments and investigations cost time and money; if high-profile progressives like Raskin promise impeachments, voters would undoubtedly grow impatient, demanding results that may never materialize.

Author and political commentator Philip Finkelstein suggested that Democrats appear unlikely to learn from their past mistakes. “Trump capitalized on far-left foolishness [in 2020], and he did it again in 2024. The liberal media and those in charge of the Democratic Party couldn’t — seemingly still don’t — see what the majority of Americans take to be common sense,” he opined.

Even though Joe Biden claimed victory in the 2020 election, Trump’s polling results demonstrated that his support was still strong. “Yet, four years later, the Democrats somehow saw fit to run Kamala Harris. Despite Biden’s own role in causing this disaster, the real mystery is how the establishment … thought it made sense to bypass the democratic process and nominate a gaffe-prone and unpopular vice president from California who had never won a single primary,” Finklestein observed. “The writing was always on the wall. Democrats lost, and they will keep losing national elections until they consciously choose a rebirth for their party. They need to remove from power within the party the faction that allowed Trump to paint everyone on the left as more deranged than his own unhinged brand of populism.”

PODCAST: Chinese-linked Biolab Discovered in Las Vegas Home Sparks Federal Investigation

Authorities are investigating a suspected biological laboratory with alleged Chinese ties discovered inside a Las Vegas home.

SWAT officers served a search warrant at a residence on the city’s east side after receiving a tip that a biolab was operating inside the home, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

More than 1,000 pieces of evidence with “potential biological and hazardous materials” were primarily located in a locked garage.

The property manager of the home, 55-year-old Ori Solomon, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of disposing and discharging hazardous waste.

In the garage, investigators found multiple refrigerators with vials of unknown liquids, unknown liquids in gallon-size containers, a centrifuge and other laboratory equipment, authorities said.

Investigators identified the owner of the Las Vegas home as Jia Bei Zhu, who is already in federal custody following the discovery of an unauthorized biolab in Reedley, California, in 2023.

Additional charges have been filed against Jia Bei Zhu, 62, the operator of the Reedley, California Bio-Lab and his partner, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Zhu’s attorney, Anthony Capozzi, said Monday that his client is not involved in the Las Vegas investigation.

“He is not involved in any kind of a biolab being conducted in a home in Las Vegas,” Capozzi said. “What went on in that residence we are unaware of.”

ILLEGAL CHINESE-LINKED BIOLAB FILLED WITH MICE, MEDICAL WASTE DISCOVERED IN CALIFORNIA

The Reedley biolab drew attention after a clandestine laboratory was discovered operating inside a warehouse owned by Zhu’s company, Universal Meditech Inc.

According to a report by the House Select Committee on the People’s Republic of China, Zhu, 62, is a citizen of the PRC and a wanted fugitive from Canada. The committee alleged Zhu had close ties to the Chinese government and was involved in a transnational criminal enterprise that stole millions of dollars in intellectual property from U.S. companies.

City officials in Reedley first raised concerns in December 2022 after a code enforcement officer noticed a green garden hose protruding from the warehouse. A subsequent inspection revealed extensive laboratory equipment, manufacturing devices and medical-grade freezers inside the building.

Officials also reported finding approximately 1,000 transgenic mice used in disease research. Workers at the facility told authorities the mice were genetically engineered for COVID-19 research.

How Activists Use Curriculum And ‘Training’ To Embed Leftist Ideology In K–12 Schools

Activist organizations are developing curricula instructing teachers and students to be skeptical toward claims of antisemitism and sympathetic to pro-Palestinian causes, documents show.

Two pro-Palestinian organizations, Participatory Action Research Center for Organizing (PARCEO) and Project48, orchestrate programs and disseminate materials that blame “white nationalism” for antisemitism and ask participants to consider the “bad habit” of whiteness, documents obtained by Defending Education (DE) and shared exclusively with the Daily Caller News Foundation show. The activist programs are already finding their way into schools.

PARCEO “is a research, resource and education center” that partners with groups and institutions focusing on “educational justice; racial justice; workers’ rights; gender justice; challenging Islamophobia; immigrant rights; health and food justice, and more.” Project48 “was created to center Palestinians in the telling of their own history” and works to provide “educational material, eyewitness testimonies, images, videos and artifacts” to teach about “the ongoing Palestinian struggle against colonial erasure and the return of refugees to their ancestral lands.”

Both organizations have benefited from large, direct grants from Soros-linked Open Society foundations.

The two groups joined forces to create the Palestinian Nakba Curriculum, using the Arabic word for “Catastrophe” to refer to “the creation of Israel in 1948” and the following territorial struggle. The curriculum is meant to be used for “individual classes, for semester-long learning, as theme-specific modules, for presentations, and for workshops and webinars” and touches on topics such as “Settler Colonialism, Zionism, Refugees and Right of Return,” according to the Project48 website.

One session of the curriculum, titled “Nakba in Practice,” directs participants to “consider the history and material consequences of the Nakba, including what’s been hidden and erased, what’s been built over, stolen, destroyed, and what remains,” materials obtained by DE show. The section also covers “indigeneity” and “settler colonialism” in relation to Palestine.

Another section decrying Zionism purports to examine the “pervasive Zionist narrative” behind the Nakba, with slideshows on “the enactment and reality of Zionist colonization in Palestine” and Israel’s “intentionality behind the process.”

“The session also addresses the pervasive Zionist narrative that continues to ‘justify’ the Nakba, despite clear and compelling facts, and experiences of Palestinians,” the description explains.

The final session covers the “ongoing social, political, economic, and cultural forms of resistance in Palestine,” teaching students about “the impact, visions, and connections among movements for justice in Palestine and globally.”

PARCEO has also created the Curriculum on Antisemitism from a Framework of Collective Liberation, which blames antisemitism on “white nationalism” and compares it to “other forms of racism and injustice.”

These curricula are already being put to use in the classroom.

In 2023, the New York Collective of Radical Educators (NYCORE), a “group of current and former public school educators and their allies committed to fighting for social justice in our school system and society at large,” hosted an event exploring these two programs. More recently, an Oakland Unified School District teacher and member of Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP) helped organize a PARCEO event in October 2025 and invited school board members to participate, emails obtained by DE show. The event was meant to explain “the harmful disuse of ‘antisemitism’ to silence discussion of what is happening in Gaza and throughout Palestine.”

Other materials by PARCEO created in conjunction with JVP portray “white nationalist antisemitic violence” as the primary driver of anti-Jewish hate, warning readers that “white supremacists and white nationalists take advantage” of the anti-Zionism movement “to sow confusion and promote antisemitism, Islamophobia, and racism.”

“[W]hite nationalist violence has been on the rise in the U.S., fueled by anti-immigrant and racist manifestos, sentiments, and conspiracy theories, such as the great replacement theory,” an explainer from PARCEO and JVP reads. “Jews are among the targets of white nationalist violence along with Black people, immigrants, Muslims, and trans and queer people, among others. Our safety is bound together with the safety of all people, and none of us is free if we aren’t all free.”

The groups claim opposition to Zionism is no different from criticizing the “settler colonialism, imperialism and white supremacy at the foundation of the United States.”

“Positionality” curriculum created by PARCEO and uncovered by DE seeks to help participants understand their “own identity in relation to race, class, power, gender, privilege, role and position.” Participants are asked to “Consider an experience … where you were conscious of your race, class, gender, migration status, sexual identity, or any other part of your identity(ies)” and encouraged to discuss how it made them feel.

“This is important for creating an inclusive environment,” the organization insists. “If we don’t reflect on our own identity and how we enter and influence a space, we can unknowingly perpetuate inequality and oppressive power structures.”

Some of the additional resources recommended in the curriculum include a “Phenomenology of Whiteness” paper, which “considers how whiteness functions as a habit, even a bad habit,” and a “White Awareness Handbook For Anti-Racism Training.”

Authorities Put CCP-Tied Trailer Park Next To Top Secret U.S. Bomber Base On Notice

Missouri is moving to shut down a trailer park business bordering Whiteman Air Force Base after a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation uncovered links between the property and a convicted fraudster with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence ties.

Secretary of State Denny Hoskins announced Thursday the administrative cancellation of Property Solutions 3603 LP, the operator of a Knob Noster Trailer Park that shares a perimeter fence with Whiteman Air Force Base, home to the B-2 stealth bombers. The company is ultimately controlled by a Georgia-based firm owned by a Canadian couple with ties to disgraced Chinese tycoon Miles Guo, who has publicly identified himself as a former CCP intelligence “affiliate,” a November DCNF investigation revealed.

“We applaud Secretary of State Denny Hoskins for taking this strong action to ensure Missouri’s laws are appropriately enforced,” Republican Missouri Rep. Mark Alford told the DCNF. “We have raised the alarm about the potential links between the Chinese nationals who own the Knob Noster Trailer Park next to Whiteman AFB through this shell corporation and the Chinese Communist Party.”

Image created by DCNF with Canva and screenshots from Google Maps, Earth and Reviews

Business records obtained by the DCNF show the property is owned through a web of shell companies controlled by Esther Mei and Cheng Hu. The Canadian couple has connections to the New Federal State of China, an organization associated with Guo. The self-described former CCP-affiliate was convicted in 2024 for orchestrating a fraud scheme exceeding $1 billion and is currently awaiting sentencing.

Mei, Hu and the New Federal State of China did not respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment, while Guo could not be reached.

Hoskins’ office said the cancellation followed a routine compliance review that found the company’s registered agent information was inaccurate and failed to meet statutory requirements. The office formally notified the registered agent in November, but the deficiencies were not corrected within the allotted time frame.

“Failure to respond to notice is a strong indicator that an entity is not operating responsibly or in good faith,” Hoskins’ office told the DCNF.

“When you operate next to Whiteman Air Force Base, good faith and compliance are the bare minimum,” said Hoskins. “Missouri doesn’t make excuses for entities that refuse to meet them.”

Though the secretary of state described the action as routine enforcement of Missouri business law, Hoskins said persistent legal noncompliance is “inherently concerning, particularly when it involves entities operating near secure or sensitive locations, including critical military installations.”

Those concerns were underscored in early January when federal prosecutors announced charges against a Chinese illegal immigrant who allegedly photographed the B-2 aircraft by the base’s perimeter fence.

Worries about Chinese-owned property near sensitive military sites extend beyond Whiteman Air Force Base. Air Force Global Strike Command, based at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and oversees all U.S. intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombers, is flanked by two golf courses owned by a Chinese intelligence official, a January DCNF investigation found.

“Secretary Hoskins deserves the gratitude of all Americans for acting decisively to protect American national security,” Michael Lucci, founder and CEO of State Armor, told the DCNF.  “When Hoskins saw a company presenting a threat to Whiteman Air Force Base, he acted to administratively cancel that company for violating Missouri law.”

Lucci added that other state officers must use their authority to safeguard the homeland from CCP influence.

Missouri previously won a $25 billion lawsuit against the Chinese government for “causing and exacerbating the COVID-19 pandemic” and for hoarding medical equipment during the pandemic.

“Whether it’s ‘show me the filings’ for this limited partnership or ‘show me the money’ for Covid reparations, the Show Me state is showing the CCP that no one is above the law in Missouri,” Jacqueline Deal, a State Armor advisory board member, told the DCNF.

State Armor provided information to the DCNF for use in its investigation.

“This is a great step, but we shouldn’t confuse compliance concerns with national security and counterintelligence issues,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF.

“Florida and New Hampshire are just getting started in their pursuits for statewide counterintelligence units … we should start seeing more of that effort, especially where the states could help defend our military installations and surrounding areas,” Eads said, calling for a national approach to counter CCP operations in the U.S.

Alford said his office will continue pressing federal authorities to closely scrutinize foreign ownership of property near the critical military installation.

Who’s Responsible for Demonizing ICE So Much That Agitators Invaded a Church Service?

On Sunday, anti-ICE agitators invaded a church sanctuary in the middle of service, a shocking escalation arguably inspired by the Left’s extreme rhetoric against immigration enforcement.

“Justice for Renee Good!” shouted agitators as they walked directly into the middle of the sanctuary, surrounding worshippers in Cities Church, a non-denominational Christian church in St. Paul, Minnesota. (An ICE agent fatally shot Good while she was driving her car, right after her car hit him. She had been using the car for hours to frustrate ICE’s law enforcement efforts.)

The agitators targeted the church because one of the pastors, David Easterwood, also works with ICE.

An agitator who goes by the name “DaWokeFarmer” posted videos of the action.

DOJ Investigating Church Invasion

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division is investigating the incident for potential violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon announced Sunday. While the Justice Department under former President Joe Biden used the FACE Act to target pro-life protesters who demonstrated outside abortion clinics, the law also protects houses of worship.

After the Biden DOJ weaponized the FACE Act to target pro-lifers, Dhillon seems ready to use the FACE Act for its intended purpose—to protect civil rights.

Former CNN host Don Lemon traveled with the agitators, and claims to have merely been reporting on the incident. Yet he clearly coordinated with Nakima Armstrong, the group’s leader who previously led Minneapolis’ NAACP chapter, ahead of the church invasion.

Whatever Lemon’s involvement, the agitators who desecrated a house of God deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Innocent Victims

These agitators didn’t just confront a church that also employs an ICE employee. They harassed innocent men, women, and children for the crime of worshipping God. Little children do not deserve to have their songs of praise interrupted by aggressive chanting.

Of course, this church invasion does not represent the first time anti-ICE agitators have harassed innocent bystanders.

Agitators have also accosted a man for the crime of driving a Chevy Suburban, the same kind of vehicle ICE officers use.

In a separate incident anti-ICE agitators harassed tech workers at a deli, mistaking them for ICE agents.

While Lemon may cloak himself in the free speech rights of a journalist, these agitators showed no compassion for journalist Nick Sortor when he came by, asking questions. Agitators surrounded his vehicle, smashed his windows, stole his camera, and seem to have threatened his life.

Make no mistake: We have roving bands of Red Guards who make it their mission to oppose law enforcement and to terrorize ICE. They’re not afraid of harassing innocents to further their agenda.

Where Does This Come From?

This isn’t happening in a vacuum. Earlier this month, Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz—who has yet to condemn the desecration of the church—suggested that President Donald Trump was at war with him and threatened to call the National Guard to oppose ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, also a Democrat, said ICE should “get the f— out of Minneapolis.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., called ICE an “occupying force.”

This rhetoric comes amid the Left’s push for “sanctuary” policies that hamstring the federal government’s ability to enforce immigration law and deport illegal aliens.

Democrat governors openly say that immigration law should not be enforced in their jurisdictions. On her very first day in office, Virginia’s new Democrat governor—Abigail Spanberger—rescinded the order directing law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.

Democrats have even whittled away at America’s sovereignty by making my birth state of Colorado a “sanctuary state.”

President Donald Trump returned to office in part because the Left had gone off the deep end on immigration. While former President Barack Obama enforced immigration law, the Left demonized immigration law under Trump, and Biden effectively opened the border, allowing millions of illegal aliens to pour into the country.

A vast network of left-leaning nonprofits has demonized immigration law in the name of compassion. The Center for American Progress and the American Civil Liberties Union urged Biden to open the border. Now that Trump has closed the border and sought to deport illegal aliens, the ACLU is hard at work challenging nearly every move in the courts.

Another network of nonprofits reaped rich benefits from federal grants in exchange for transporting immigrants across the country. Naturally, these groups complained to high heaven and sought to sue when Trump started clawing this money back.

Now, the Left’s dark money network is funding the groups organizing anti-ICE agitators—whose aggressive tactics Renee Nicole Good employed. While Good’s death was tragic, the ICE agent who shot her arguably fired in self-defense. The Left has seized on her death as some sort of gross miscarriage of justice, taking any opportunity to demonize Trump’s attempt to bring back law and order.

Trump has surged ICE officers to Minneapolis in part because local law enforcement will not work with ICE to enforce the law.

Whatever you think of Trump finally enforcing immigration law in Minneapolis, I hope you will stand with me in condemning the desecration of a church.

These agitators will consider no space sacred enough to trample on in their demonization of law enforcement. Americans across the country should pay close attention.

EXCLUSIVE: US General Plotted With CCP-Tied Mogul To Seize Strategic Islands For China, Tell-All Claims

A Chinese intelligence official’s autobiography details decades of efforts to cultivate ties with American officials, culminating in an alleged plot with a three-star U.S. general to annex strategic territory for Beijing, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

Chinese-American businessman Eugene Ji, who owns two golf courses flanking Louisiana’s Barksdale Air Force Base, developed a years-long professional and personal relationship with retired Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, which allegedly  included expensive gifts and meetings with high-ranking Chinese government officials, according to DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements and Ji’s 2014 Chinese language autobiography “New Circle.” Among other concerning episodes, the autobiography claims the pair organized an event to bring Chinese military officers to a U.S. nuclear base and also repeatedly propositioned Chinese political insiders with a half a billion dollar plan to seize Japan’s Senkaku Islands for China through weaponized migration, which the general denies.

“When I asked his opinion on the matter of the [Senkaku Islands], the general said those few small islands are of course Chinese territory — why keep talking without acting? No need to consult Japan. If pigs can be raised on the islands, set up a pig farm. If tourism is possible, build dozens of houses. Sovereignty is China’s. Welcome tourists from around the world. Japanese can go too, just get a visa at the Chinese embassy in Japan, so what’s the hang-up?” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “Do your friends think the price is too high?”

Honoré, who retired in 2008, allegedly served as the “U.S. affairs advisor” for an organization founded by Ji called the G2 Club, which has offices in the U.S. and China, and is comprised of business leaders and government officials from both nations, according to DCNF translations of “New Circle.”

[Image created by DCNF with “New Circle” and Jinan ACFIC arm photos]

Honoré, who coordinated military relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina and later led then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s security review task force following the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot, denied involvement in the Senkaku scheme and told the DCNF that Ji is “full of shit.” However, he did not deny being pictured with the businessman in multiple photos featured in “New Circle” and in Chinese government announcements unearthed by the DCNF.

“I did meet with them, but I had no agreement with them, and was no kind of official advisor,” Honoré said. “I’ve never gotten anything out of it, never been paid anything, and it’s mostly cost me time as a courtesy to Eugene, because he’s a serial entrepreneur and I do consulting work.”

Honore’s more than decade-long relationship with Ji — who has held multiple Chinese government positions, including serving as an official for an arm of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence agency called the United Front Work Department (UFWD) — raises red flags about how China targets influential Americans.

“What makes this especially concerning is that a documented United Front–affiliated actor openly describes influencing senior U.S. military officers and elected officials, getting meetings arranged, access granted, projects discussed, and relationships leveraged,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF after reviewing select chapters of Ji’s autobiography. “When a foreign political influence system is able to shape behavior, decisions, or access among generals and politicians through informal business and social channels, that crosses from engagement into a national security vulnerability.”

Ji did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

‘Oblivious’

The scheme to seize the Senkaku Islands for China involved using Chinese prefabricated dwellings to build a resort on the islands, which would be staffed by “100 black people” from an unspecified U.S. civil rights organization explicitly in order to deter the Obama administration from intervening, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

The Senkaku Islands are a small chain in the East China Sea administered by Japan and claimed by China, which contribute to ensuring “U.S. strategic, political, and economic interests in the Indo-Pacific region and elsewhere,” according to the Congressional Research Service.

Ji wrote that he and Honoré repeatedly pitched the $500 million project to Chinese counterparts as a pretense to assert Beijing’s sovereignty over the uninhabited isles, according to DCNF translations of the third-to-last and final chapter of “New Circle.”

Ji’s Chinese business contacts would first secure state–backed loans to manufacture prefabricated dwellings in China, which the government would then escort to the Japanese islands, after which China’s flag would be raised and access controlled by its visa authority, according to the plan.

“[W]e would also hire the American black civil rights Martin Luther King organization to organize 100 black people to provide security and hotel services for Chinese tourists,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “The U.S. government wouldn’t dare interfere — this is private commercial cooperation. Black civil rights organizations helped Obama get into the White House.”

“What the government can’t do, we the people will handle,” Ji continued, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

However, it’s unclear if the scheme ever advanced beyond attempts to recruit Chinese business partners.

“All that’s lies,” Honoré told the DCNF.

Ji and Honoré allegedly had at least one discussion concerning the progress of the scheme after playing golf at one of the businessman’s courses, according to “New Circle.”

After golfing on or around the same day, the pair also allegedly discussed organizing a “Sino-U.S. Generals’ Friendly Golf Tournament” that was later held, according to the autobiography.

“Every year, the club invites 50 Chinese military personnel to visit the U.S., make friends with U.S. military personnel, play golf and increase mutual understanding,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “The G2 Club specially invited three-star First Army General Russel Honoré and other senior U.S. military officers to participate in the club’s golf-themed annual meeting, tour a U.S. B-52 bomber training base, visit General Chennault’s military museum, and revisit the history of the Flying Tigers’ assistance to China during World War II to promote friendly exchanges between the two militaries.”

“It’s all fabricated shit,” Honoré told the DCNF when asked about the alleged tournament.

“I hate fucking golf,” Honoré said. “I live on a golf course. I’ve been on it one fucking time since 2010.”

A spokesperson for Barksdale AFB, which is the only Louisiana base hosting B-52s, neither confirmed nor denied Ji’s claims.

“[W]e do not discuss specific intelligence, investigative matters, or alleged interactions involving individual personnel,” the spokesperson said.

The U.S. military is not doing enough to protect its bases and personnel from Chinese influence operations, author and China expert Gordon Chang told the DCNF.

“The Air Force in particular and the Pentagon in general need to stop being oblivious,” Chang said. “We’ve known about China’s infiltration of areas around military bases and done little or nothing about it. What is wrong with us?”

“The Department of War should take its name seriously. China thinks it is at war with us, so, yes, we’re at war,” said Chang.

‘Made In China’

Ji also allegedly gave Honoré a number of gifts, including expensive liquor and LED lights for his home, according to DCNF translations of the autobiography.

“New Circle” claims that after playing golf Ji and Honoré frequently drank Moutai liquor together, which is made from sorghum and is China’s “most-prized liquor,” according to Chinese state-run media.

During one G2 Club dinner in New Orleans with visiting Chinese state-owned enterprise executives, Ji allegedly gifted Honoré a bottle of Moutai costing more than $400, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

On another occasion, Ji allegedly procured an entire case of Moutai for Honoré from the distillery in China.

“Whenever I return to China, if I have the time, I make a special trip to Guizhou. My alumnus Hu Pinglin will give me a few bottles to take back. Since there is counterfeit liquor on the market, I’m afraid something could go wrong if the general drank fake alcohol, so I only buy it through friends directly from the distillery,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation. “Last time, Mr. Hu managed to obtain an entire case directly from the Moutai distillery. The general took it back to Washington D.C., where more than 10 generals finished it all in one sitting.”

Hu has held numerous high-level Chinese government positions, including serving as the Communist Youth League secretary of an unspecified Chinese defense enterprise, and the deputy chairman of a branch of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society (CCPS), which is an arm of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, according to DCNF translations of “New Circle” and CCPS announcements.

Honoré told the DCNF he did not recall receiving Moutai from Ji, and could not account for a “New Circle” photo showing him holding a bottle of the Chinese liquor.

“I got LED lights and a globe from him, never any boxes of expensive liquor,” Honoré said. “He gave me a globe, I’ve got the globe in my office, it’s one you can buy out of any Amazon shop.”

While Ji did not mention gifting Honoré a globe in “New Circle,” the autobiography claims he outfitted the general’s entire home with Chinese LED lights.

“Shenzhen Punai Optoelectronics sent over some energy-saving LED lights that could be installed in shipping containers. I had a friend deliver three boxes and replace all the lighting in the general’s villa with ‘Made in China’ products that had American UL certification,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation. “Later, the general even asked me to introduce Shenzhen Punai’s products to 25 U.S. military bases.”

Although the autobiography presents the LED company as an unrelated third party, business filings reveal it shares its phone number with a similarly-named Chinese LED manufacturer called Shenzhen Punai Energy Saving Lighting Co. Ltd., which Ji owns. Furthermore, both of Shenzhen Punai Optoelectronics’ board members also sit on the board of Ji’s LED company, one of whom likewise serves as the G2 Club’s secretary general, according to a DCNF translation of a Guizhou University announcement.

“He had them at his office, and he said ‘you want some LED lights for your house,’ and I said, ‘okay, I’ll take some,’” Honoré told the DCNF, while denying he asked Ji to introduce the lights to 25 U.S. military bases.

Ji’s activities go beyond “normal civic behavior,” Eads told the DCNF.

“When a foreign political intermediary supplies luxury goods and installs electronic systems inside the home of a senior U.S. military official without clear disclosure or vetting, that is not just a social courtesy,” Eads said. “It is a counterintelligence concern.”

The Global Left’s Romance with Violence and Tyranny

The red-green alliance is the greatest threat to human survival.

The global left is not a political movement; it is a parasitic organism that feeds on the foundations of sovereign nations.

For decades, it has operated as the primary architect of chaos, hiding behind the veneers of “human rights” and “social justice” while systematically empowering the most regressive forces on the planet.

From the destruction of Imperial Iran to the current subversion of the United States, the left’s objective remains constant: the eradication of excellence, nobility, and national identity.

To understand the left’s methodology, one must look at the 1979 catastrophe in Iran.

The global left, in a fit of ideological hysteria, abandoned a modernizing, secular, and noble monarchy to facilitate the rise of a medieval theocracy. They traded the Pahlavi nobility — a symbol of Iranian dignity and rapid advancement —- for the charlatanism of Ruhollah Khomeini.

The left-wing media and intellectual apparatus did not just report on the revolution; they curated it. They took a parasitic cleric and packaged him as a “saintly” figure to the Western world.

In doing so, they deliberately suppressed the legacy of figures like Gen. Nader Jahanbani, the “Blue Eyed General,” who represented the pinnacle of Iranian honor and military brilliance. By helping the Islamists execute the elite of the Iranian military and aristocracy, the global left ensured that Iran would be transformed from a regional powerhouse into a hub for global terror.

The left’s hatred for Iranian history and  dignity continues today through their selection of “symbols.” They ignore the true underground resistance that seeks a return to nationalistic roots and instead elevate “activists” like Narges Mohammadi and a cultist, Islamist-Marxist MEK leader, Maryam Rajavi.

These figures are hand-picked by the global leftist establishment because they do not threaten the status quo but merely act as a safety valve, ensuring that the discourse remains trapped within the left’s approved framework of “reform” rather than total liberation and the restoration of Iranian pride.

This is a recurring theme: the left mocks the proud history of the Great Civilization and replaces it with a curated gallery of victims and “reformers” who are, in reality, extensions of the same ideological rot. They want an Iran that is weak, perpetually “reforming,” and stripped of its Imperial grandeur.

The same machinery that dismantled Iran is currently deployed against the United States and Europe. The global left has moved from the “Red Terror” of the 20th century to a more insidious form of institutional terrorism. By capturing the education systems, the media, and the bureaucracy, they are executing a slow-motion demolition of Western civilization.

  • The Erasure of Borders: Just as they sought to weaken Iran’s sovereignty, they now demand the total dissolution of Western borders, inviting chaos to dilute national identity.
  • The War on Merit: The left’s obsession with equity is a direct assault on the concept of the “Nobility of Spirit.” They seek to replace the high-achiever – the Jahanbanis of the world – with the mediocre and the parasitic.
  • The Funding of Proxies: Through back-channel diplomacy and the loosening of sanctions, the left-wing establishment in the West has effectively funded the very terror networks that threaten global security. The billions of dollars funneled back to Tehran under various “deals” are the lifeblood of global instability.

We are no longer in a phase of political disagreement; we are in a state of existential war. The left’s alliance with Islamists — often called the Red-Green Alliance — is the greatest threat to human survival. By destabilizing the Middle East and weakening the West from within, the left is creating a vacuum that can only be filled by ultimate escalation.

Once a cornerstone of American political life, the Democrat party has transformed into something unrecognizable — a force that now threatens the fabric of the nation.

If the left is not confronted and eradicated from the halls of power, the trajectory is clear: a nuclear-armed theocracy in Iran, emboldened by a hollowed-out West, will eventually trigger a global conflagration. The left’s “diplomacy” is nothing more than a stay of execution while they help the enemies of civilization sharpen their blades.

The solution does not lie in “centrism” or polite debate. You cannot debate a movement that seeks your total humiliation. The path forward requires:

  1. The Restoration of National Identity: Embracing the symbols of nobility and strength, such as the Pahlavi legacy, to counter the left’s cult of victimhood.
  2. The Dismantling of the Leftist Bureaucracy: Removing the ideological parasites from the institutions of power in both the East and the West.
  3. Absolute Zero Tolerance for Terror: Ending the cycle of appeasement that has defined Western foreign policy for decades.

The global left is the true face of modern terror. It provides the intellectual cover, the funding, and the moral justification for the destruction of nations. To save the future, the left must be treated not as a political opponent, but as the existential threat to civilization itself.

EXCLUSIVE: CCP Intel Official Owns Golf Clubs Flanking U.S. Nuclear Missile Nerve Center

A Chinese intelligence official owns twin golf courses flanking the U.S. Air Force headquarters that controls two legs of the U.S. nuclear triad, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has discovered.

Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), which is responsible for all of America’s intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombers, is hosted by Barksdale Air Force Base near Shreveport, Louisiana. Approximately two miles to the north and south, the base is effectively bordered by The Golf Club At StoneBridge and its 27-hole, 340-acre sister, Olde Oaks Golf Club.

Since 2013, both courses have been owned by Eugene Ji, a Chinese-American businessman, who has held multiple Chinese government positions including serving as an official for an arm of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence agency called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), according to local news reports, Louisiana business records and DCNF translations of Chinese government and university announcements.

[Image created by the DCNF with screenshots from StoneBridge, Olde Oaks, Regrid and Canva]

“The matters you’re asking about are unrelated to StoneBridge or Olde Oaks Golf Course and we are not able to provide any comment,” Ji’s daughter, who is the general manager of both golf clubs, told the DCNF. “Our focus here is solely on golf operations and serving our members.”

Ji purchased the golf courses to provide a “networking opportunity for Chinese and American business people,” and to create a “platform” for “people-to-people diplomacy” with U.S. lawmakers, according to Chinese state media reports and a DCNF translation of Ji’s 2014 autobiography “New Circle.”

“Politicians and dignitaries, business friends, university presidents — all come to play golf,” Ji wrote in his book, according to a DCNF translation. “When senators and congressmen campaign, when governors and mayors hold gatherings, they all come to my golf club.”

However, customer reviews and local news reports have criticized the golf clubs’ conditions in recent years. One Google review characterized StoneBridge as a “dump,” while others have claimed nine holes have been “abandoned” by Olde Oaks, which the American Golfer blog listed as among the “worst” Louisiana golf courses in December 2025.

Ji’s ownership of the golf clubs and business activities, which appear centered on the Bayou State, pose a serious national security threat, lawmakers and Chinese intelligence experts told the DCNF.

“We spend billions of dollars on our bomber fleet. Chinese agents spend pennies on the dollar to put them in the crosshairs,” Jacqueline Deal, an advisory board member at State Armor, a nonprofit focused on countering the CCP, told the DCNF. “For the price of two apparently poorly-maintained courses, the CCP and the People’s Liberation Army have likely secured an intelligence and sabotage bonanza.” There have been no reported espionage incidents involving either of the golf courses.

Airmen train to confront “security threats posed by adversaries both at home and abroad” and the base is “prepared to respond to those threats when necessary,” a Barksdale AFB spokesman told the DCNF.

‘Leverage’

Ji, whose Chinese name is Ji Yueqin, is listed as an “overseas committee member” of the UFWD‘s All-China Federation Of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC), according to DCNF translations of Chinese government and university announcements from as recently as 2024.

The UFWD’s operations are a “blend of engagement, influence activities, and intelligence operations” that Beijing uses to steer foreign policy and “gain access to advanced foreign technology,” according to the House Select Committee on the CCP.

“Companies and individuals acting on behalf of the CCP have increasingly purchased land across the U.S., oftentimes adjacent to military installations and other sensitive sites,” Michigan Republican Rep. John Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on the CCP, told the DCNF. “The time for sleepwalking past China’s spending spree on strategically vital land across the U.S. needs to end.”

Ji has attended numerous ACFROC meetings in China, including the UFWD arm’s September 2018 Beijing conference, according to ACFROC announcements and Chinese state media footage.

Since that conference, the Louisiana businessman has also met with ACFROC officials in Jiangsu and Shandong province, as well as within the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, according to DCNF translations of ACFROC announcements.

During those meetings, Ji agreed to support China’s economy in various ways, such as by serving as an “ambassador” to recruit talent for Shandong’s Jinan Start-Up Area, the ACFROC announcement states, according to a DCNF translation. This national development zone hosts centers focused on researching artificial intelligencesupercomputers and robotics, and is mandated to advance China’s Military-Civil Fusion (MCF) policy, according to DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements. The CCP uses MCF to “ensure that new innovations simultaneously advance economic and military development,” according to a 2020 U.S. State Department memo.

“United Front operations rarely look hostile — they build relationships, normalize their presence, embed in local communities, and wait, subtly conducting the CCP’s work abroad, like recruiting,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF.

“This isn’t a businessman who happens to own a golf course. This is a CCP political actor highlighted in Chinese government publications,” Eads said, citing ACFROC’s announcements. “If a CCP-linked network controls the social economic nodes around a nuclear-mission base, that is leverage Beijing can weaponize in a moment of tension.”

‘No Coincidences’

Ji has held Chinese government positions on and off for more than 40 years, and has used his foothold in Louisiana to introduce CCP delegations to the state, according to DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements.

Ji first began working for the Chinese government in 1981, when he was assigned to the Guizhou Provincial Economic and Trade Department, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle,” and a 2024 interview conducted by his alma mater, Guizhou University.

Over the next seven years, the Chinese government dispatched Ji on a series of trade missions to Guangzhou, Europe, Japan and the U.S., until he quit his post in June 1989 and moved to America to pursue his graduate degree in economics at New York University, according to DCNF translations of the 2024 interview and his autobiography.

Later that year, Ji dropped out of NYU and began working for the Chinese government again, according to a DCNF translation of his 2024 interview.

“After a Chinese grain-buying delegation’s interpreter fell ill in New York, a friend introduced me to fill in, so I led the delegation to Louisiana where we met the governor, the agriculture commissioner, and the commerce secretary,” Ji said, according to a DCNF translation of the interview. “Because of that, the governor let me stay, so I stayed in Louisiana.”

Over the course of the delegation’s 20-day U.S. visit, the Chinese government paid Ji a salary of $300 an hour and also provided him with formal clothing, according to a DCNF translation of his autobiography.

Ji has continued to serve as a liaison between China and the Deep South in the intervening years, with local news outlet KTBS reporting in 2013 that Ji had been responsible for attracting “nearly all” of Louisiana’s Chinese investors.

“I once again feel profoundly that intense longing deep inside me, that voice buried deep in my heart that has never faded: I want to do all that I possibly can to make a real difference for China’s core interests,” Ji wrote in his autobiography, according to a DCNF translation.

In one instance, Ji’s film company partnered with Beijing Film Academy and Hunan TV to produce Chinese programs and establish a film training center in Baton Rouge, Chinese state media reported in December 2015. Both Beijing Film Academy and Hunan TV are state-owned entities overseen by China’s Propaganda Department, according to DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements.

In another instance, Ji inked a deal with a delegation from the State Council‘s China Federation Of Industrial Economics (CFIE) in June 2018 to establish a joint office in Baton Rouge, according to DCNF translations of CFIE announcements. The joint office supports China’s Belt And Road Initiative, which is a CCP infrastructure and economic strategy that the U.S. State Department warns was created to collect intelligence and gain “political, military, and economic leverage over participating countries through the accrual and manipulation of debt.”

The 2018 delegation was led by CFIE’s party secretary, Xiong Meng, who has held key MCF positions, such as serving as the head of the MCF Innovation Working Group within “China’s Silicon Valley,” according to DCNF translations of Chinese government, state media and university announcements.

The CCP is sending agents to the U.S. in order to gather intelligence on military bases in preparation for war, Deal warned.

“Since its founding, the CCP has employed infiltration, co-option, and subversion before attacking its enemies kinetically. To this end, the party has waged a long-running campaign of prepositioning political-warfare and intelligence assets inside the U.S.,” Deal said. “Like an RV park, a golf club offers abundant opportunities for intelligence collection on aircraft and operators alike, as well as for storing materiel in advance of an attack. How many takeoffs and landings have been observed? How many personnel have been logged and monitored on the base or on the greens?”

The DCNF reported in November 2025 on the existence of a foreign-owned trailer park linked to a convicted fraudster with CCP intelligence ties, which shares a fence with Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base, home to the “world’s only nuclear capable stealth bomber.”

Federal authorities need to investigate Ji, author and China expert Gordon Chang told the DCNF.

“Here we have someone connected to the Chinese regime owning land under an approach to one of the most important Air Force bases in the American homeland,” Chang said. “What more warning signs do we need?”

“If war starts, [AFGSC] has to assume that every B-52 at Barksdale will be destroyed,” Chang warned. “We need to investigate this guy, because when it comes to China, we should assume that there are no coincidences.”

Volunteer Video Editor For Mamdani Campaign Revealed To Be CCP Supporter Who Downplayed Uyghur Genocide

A left-wing aspiring YouTuber who claims to have volunteered on democratic socialist New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s campaign has admittedly left the U.S. “for good” and now resides in China.

Eric Hovagim describes himself on LinkedIn as a “[g]eopolitical commentary YouTuber” while listing his location on the site as Brooklyn. The pro-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) micro-influencer who uploaded several videos in support of Mamdani, in addition to working as part of the video team of his successful campaign, however, claims to have permanently moved across the Pacific Ocean to China. From there, he posts content downplaying the CCP’s genocide against the Uyghurs, an indigenous predominately Muslim minority group.

“I volunteered to help film and/or edit 3 videos about Zohran’s plan to make NYC more affordable. I was NEVER paid by the campaign, any PAC, or anyone at all around him. All three videos were wrapped up before the primary election,” Hovagim wrote in response to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s (DCNF) request for comment. He added he had only been in contact with Mamdani’s video team and not the rest of the socialist mayor-elect’s campaign.

Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

“As a dude, I feel sorry for the Uyghurs being used as a pawn by the CIA to foment unrest. I feel bad for the people of Taiwan who overwhelmingly do not want to be independent but are caught in the crosshairs of America’s violent foreign policy. And I feel the worst for the people of Tibet up until they were recently liberated,” Hovagim said in a YouTube video posted Sept. 22 titled, “Why I Left America for Good.”

He went on in the video, appearing to call the view the CCP is committing genocide against the Uyghurs, as well as acts of aggression against Tibet and Taiwan, as “CIA revisionist propaganda that’s only now getting its own Wikipedia pages.” The Uyghurs are a Turkic people who live in Chinese-occupied East Turkestan, renamed the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region by the CCP.

“I believe the Uyghurs and other Chinese minority groups in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region are victims of decades of the CIA wasting taxpayer dollars to fund violence in the Middle East. Xinjiang borders Afghanistan and Kashmir, two extremely volatile regions that have fallen victim to both America’s and Israel’s bloodthirsty regimes,” Hovagim told the DCNF. “The CIA has openly engaged in opium trafficking in Afghanistan, effectively making it a narco regime right at China’s border. I’m glad that China acted more peacefully and sensibly than the United States did following various terrorist attacks in the 90s and 2000s.”

“Calling the situation a genocide makes a mockery of real genocides happening in places like Palestine with our tax dollars. Of course all this comes on the heels of the greatest cost of living crisis in US history as we now gear up to invade Venezuela while the overwhelming majority of young people in America will never be able to own their own homes,” the YouTuber added.

Hovagim responded in a Saturday X post to an over-750-page report titled, “Detention Facilities in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region,” posted by an account dedicated to “unveiling the CCP’s persecution of Uyghurs & minorities.”

“Rather than presenting concrete evidence, this report uses drawings(!), screenshots of Google Maps, and a handful of random images of Chinese police officers,” the content creator wrote.

“Zohran’s campaign will go in the history books, but don’t let them fool you. This wasn’t just a masterclass in video production or social media but rather a generationally-messaged disciplined campaign that focused around affordability, the simple idea that New York City is the best city in the world but it’s too damn expensive,” Hovagim said in a Nov. 4 video titled, “How Zohran’s Videos Won the Election.”

The fledgling content creator, however, was no longer a New York City resident, let alone a U.S. resident, at the time of Mamdani’s Nov. 4 victory, his posting history indicates.

“It’s official, I left the U.S. I caught the last chopper out of the great American century of humiliation,” Hovagim stated in the September 2025 video announcing his move to China.

“I suffered enough under the repressive two-party system. I wanted a place to call home where I felt safe, my income paid for a dignified life and where I could feel motivated to get out of bed every day. Somewhere that felt like it was going in the right direction,” the YouTuber said in the video.

“I know what you’re thinking: ‘He’s glazing China,’ ‘he’s [Chinese President] Xi Jinping’s number one foot soldier. And the truth is, I wish. That would be sick as hell,” Hovagim continued, following a bizarre 13-second montage in the video of Xi, marching Chinese soldiers, tanks and planes set to rap music.

“And I also hear what you’re saying, Eric, in a couple of months, Comrade Mamdani is going to transform New York City into the socialist Caliphate that you’ve been praying for. Why would you want to leave right now?” Hovagim added, pointing to a Mamdani campaign poster on his wall.

“I decided to move across the pond because I wanted a better life. The US is cooked,” Hovagim wrote in the video’s description. “It will probably only get worse over the next decade or two as it becomes more violent and flails around like the dying empire that it is.”

In the same video, Hovagim claimed that “undoubtedly” most of the political violence in the U.S. is “perpetrated by far-right extremists.” Minutes earlier, he referred to the Sept. 10 assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk as “a certain event.”

“But, America ended up here because of our culture around economic development,” he continued, appearing to refer to American free-market capitalism. “The way we’ve structured our economy incentivizes short-term individual gains over long-term collective progress. The United States as a project has no long-term vision. There is no unity among Americans because the very core of the nation is rotten.”

Hovagim boasts just shy of 35,000 subscribers on YouTube, almost 30,000 X followers, and 15,500 Instagram followers. He currently works both as a full-time YouTube creator and a full-time freelance web developer, according to his LinkedIn profile, which displays his pronouns as “he/him.” He graduated from UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering in 2019, according to his LinkedIn.

Hovagim’s LinkedIn page does not appear to mention his involvement on Mamdani’s mayoral campaign.

EXCLUSIVE: U.S. Nuclear Bomber Fleet Shares Fence With Trailer Park Linked To Chinese Intel-Tied Fraudster

The top secret June 2025 B-2 Bomber strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities was launched from Whiteman Air Force base, which shares a fence with a foreign-owned trailer park linked to a convicted fraudster with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence ties.

The Knob Noster Trailer Park in rural Missouri is located less than a mile from the runway of “the world’s only nuclear-capable stealth bomber.” Business filings and social media posts reveal the RV park is one of several properties near U.S. military interests acquired by a web of shell companies, which are ultimately owned by a couple who live in Canada and belong to organizations controlled by disgraced Chinese tycoon and self-described former CCP intelligence “affiliate,” Miles Guo, The New Yorker wrote in a 2022 profile.

Guo did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The Knob Noster Trailer Park’s manager declined to comment.

The companies’ purchases raise serious national security concerns and must be investigated by federal authorities, says State Armor, a nonprofit focused on countering the CCP. State Armor provided information to the Daily Caller News Foundation for use in its investigation.

“China is pre-positioning assets across the U.S. in both the cyber and physical realm,” Michael Lucci, founder and CEO of State Armor, told the DCNF. “They seek to be able to incapacitate us. Federal and state leaders should be rapidly assessing how China’s assets within the U.S. — including industrial, residential and commercial properties on top of agricultural land — will double for military use. China’s agents should be expelled accordingly.”

‘Thin Veneer Of Legitimacy’

Business records for the property neighboring Whiteman AFB reveal a curious maze of shell companies that appear to have been established solely for the trailer park’s purchase.

Four days after an entity called Property Solutions 3603 LP registered as a Missouri limited partnership on Aug. 28, 2017, business filings show the company purchased an approximately 25-acre RV park located directly north of Whiteman AFB in the town of Knob Nosterpopulation 2,902.

Three months later, the company registered to operate under the business name “Knob Noster Trailer Park.”

In October 2017, the trailer park was placed under the control of a Georgia firm owned by Esther Mei and Cheng Hu, a Canadian couple at the center of the web of companies including Property Solutions 3603, and two others that have all used the same Michigan address, Utah business filingsMissouri and Michigan property records show.

Mei and Hu did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

The use of foreign citizens and shell companies is “classic Chinese intel ops” providing the CCP with a “thin veneer of legitimacy,” Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA operations officer, told the DCNF.

“There’s zero chance a Chinese couple from Canada rolled into Knob Noster and saw a strictly financial investment in a dumpy plot of land,” said Wright, who now hosts The Wright Report. “This trailer park would hypothetically give Xi Jinping a range of options to wreak havoc. For example, certain spy tools can connect to the local grid and fry systems at Whiteman AFB. He might also house signals intelligence equipment like a StingRay to catch cell phone data of people on base and target them for later recruitment. He can also hide attack drones or even missiles in nearby storage units and otherwise benign-looking shipping containers, as we’ve seen in the war in Ukraine and Russia.”

Social media posts indicate that Mei and Hu are members of the New Federal State of China (NFSC), a purported political movement to “take down” the CCP that was launched in 2017 by Miles Guo, who was found guilty of orchestrating an over $1 billion fraud conspiracy in July 2024. Guo is awaiting sentencing on the fraud conviction.

Although NFSC champions Guo as “the CCP’s number one enemy,” questions linger about the exact nature of his relationship with the Chinese government in light of Guo’s repeated acknowledgment of close ties with Chinese intelligence arms. In one interview, Guo said that China’s Ministry of State Security had tasked him with “handling things for them” and had used the code name “Wu Nan,” The New Yorker reported in October 2022.

The FBI also discovered two gold People’s Liberation Army pins bearing CCP symbols as well as 29 cell phones, a cell phone scrambler, and multiple passports within the mogul’s U.S. properties during March 2023 raids.

While it is unclear how the couple first entered into Guo’s orbit, the firebrand has interviewed them on several NFSC livestreams, and they have defended him using their social media platforms, from which they also host NFSC programs. The DCNF has not been able to determine the location of the NFSC’s internet server, but it appears likely to be located in the U.S.

The NFSC did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Hu hosts “NFSC Promotion Team” shows like “Flowery Talk” using his moniker “Flowers In June,” and Mei has used the name “Estie” to host programs like “NFSC Finance” on YouTube and other platforms, according to DCNF translations of social media posts.

DCNF translations show the couple have also hosted shows for NFSC’s “Vancouver Sailing Farm,” which was named as a party in a civil adversary proceeding related to Guo’s ongoing bankruptcy case in February 2024. The court-appointed trustee for the bankruptcy case alleges Guo attempted to hide his assets by fraudulently transferring $255,000 to NFSC’s Vancouver arm.

While the couple have not been named in that lawsuit, they are named in a May 2024 civil claim in British Columbia brought by Gao Bingchen, a Canadian journalist, who alleges they and other NFSC members slandered him as a “CCP spy” during demonstrations held outside his home in 2020 and 2023. Several videos Gao posted to social media appear to show Mei and Hu demonstrating outside his Surrey home.

“The defendants, Estie and Cheng Hu, have not responded to my lawsuit, and the court will issue a default judgment after May,” Gao told the DCNF. “I have no connection whatsoever with any CCP organization.”

Mei and Hu’s ownership of the Knob Noster Trailer Park poses a serious national security threat given their relationship with Guo, Lucci told the DCNF.

“It is a five-alarm fire for foreigners tied to Chinese intelligence to own the mobile home and RV park that is essentially off Whiteman’s runway,” Lucci said, pointing to one Google review video for the trailer park showing a B-2 landing at Whiteman AFB’s runway less than a mile away from the property.

“Beyond the obvious risk of photos and footage of B-2 bombers, properties immediately adjacent to an airfield create direct — and dangerous — access vectors,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF, and pointed to satellite communications (SATCOM) infrastructure located on the north end of Whiteman AFB.

“Those dishes are plausibly tied to the base’s SATCOM and secure command-and-control links and would logically fall under the purview of the 509th Communications Squadron,” Eads said. “The 509th is responsible for the B-2’s global-strike command, control, and communications networks — the systems that allow the bomber force to receive, process, and transmit mission data securely from Whiteman or forward-deployed locations.”

Line-of-sight and/or close proximity is a requirement for some methods of surveillance and electronic warfare attacks, Eads told the DCNF.

“In a left-of-war environment the CCP would prize that marginal access to map and influence these links,” Eads said. “In wartime the same access becomes a high-value avenue to disrupt tactical command-and-control, and mission assurance. That’s precisely why continuous counterintelligence, emissions-control, and community reporting matter.”

‘Alarmed’

The couple’s company acquired the Missouri RV park and several other properties, which are located near U.S. military bases and a General Motors facility producing defense hardware, while Mei worked for a foreign investment firm with extensive ties to the Chinese government, business filings show.

“Individuals affiliated with the Chinese government use shell companies to disguise their identities and their intentions,” Michigan Republican Rep. John Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on the CCP told the DCNF.

“That’s why land transactions near our military sites need to be scrutinized to the highest degree,” Moolenaar said. “I have bipartisan legislation that would increase transparency of foreign ownership of American land and Congress needs to act to support the Trump’s administration’s efforts to protect land near sensitive military sites.”

Around two weeks after Property Solutions 3603 bought the Knob Noster trailer park, Property Solutions 3601 LLC, which is also controlled by the couple, purchased the Pecan Grove Mobile Home Park in Oglethorpe, Georgia in September 2017, business filings and property records show.

The Georgia trailer park is located approximately 35 miles from Robins Air Force Base — a U.S. military logistical hub — and 50 miles from Fort Benning, which is home to the Army’s AirborneArmor and Infantry schools, according to the Department of Defense (DOD).

“Kinetic weapons can obviously reach targets at 30–50 miles, but the real operational leverage for the CCP at those distances lies in electronic warfare, cyber intrusion, and persistent intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance,” Eads said. “Those capabilities are easier to operate from standoff, easier to maintain and hide, and allow adversaries to surveil, jam, and degrade critical nodes while remaining effectively ‘off the map’ of conventional defenses — precisely why co-location matters.”

Business filings show that when the couple purchased the trailer parks, Mei was a board member of Urban Select Capital Corporation, a Vancouver investment firm with offices in China. Founded in September 2007 as Orient Venture Capital II Inc., the company changed its name to China Select Capital Partners Corp. in April 2010 and rebranded again as Urban Select in October 2011, according to business records.

By the time Mei was hired in June 2016, the now-defunct firm had offices in Hong KongBeijing and had formed an investment company in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), a Chinese government-controlled zone that has housed at least 17 companies sanctioned by the U.S. government for supporting China’s military since 2019according to federal records.

The firm had also by then formed partnerships with several Chinese state-owned enterprises, including SIP’s investment arm, Suzhou Venture Holdings (now called Oriza Holdings), which runs a venture capital center supporting China’s strategy to repurpose civilian technology for its military.

At least four CCP members have been listed on the Vancouver firm’s website as employees, as well as a National People’s Congress delegate, a staff member for a Chinese influence and intelligence service affiliate called the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), and several high-level personnel in the State Council’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), according to business filings and DCNF translations of Chinese government records.

The firm listed one such board advisor, who is also a party member, as having held positions within both the 863 Program and 973 Program, which employ overt and covert means to acquire U.S. technology in order to advance China’s national defense, according to federal reports.

While Mei left Urban Select in February 2019, and the couple ultimately sold the Georgia trailer park in May 2023, Property Solutions 3601 continues to own two Pontiac, Michigan homes less than a mile from General Motors and its Global Propulsion Systems facility, which develops DOD products, according to property records and an announcement from GM subsidiary GM Defense LLC.

Other properties in CanadaWashingtonMichigan, and Utah have also been owned by the companies or have been listed as being associated with them, however do not appear to be located near U.S. military interests.

As China and its allies seek to realign global power, the U.S. must be on guard and expect the unexpected, Wright told the DCNF.

“The FBI and Department of War should be on this case immediately,” Wright said. “It deserves an alarmed reaction.”

The China Watchers Were Wrong

The China watchers were all wrong.

Some had predicted that President Xi would be ousted from power at this week’s Plenum of the Chinese Communist Party, based on the recent purge of Xi’s top ally on the Central Military Commission, the Party organ that controls the People’s Liberation Army, the PLA.

Instead, Xi emerged victorious from the four-day meeting on Thursday, with a Party spokesperson saying that the major theme of the Plenum — and of the upcoming Five Year Plan — will be the fight against corruption.

By the way, Xi’s ally, who goes by the name He (as opposed to Xi, which is pronounced She), was just one of 22 generals on the Central Committee who failed to show at the big powwow this week. The other 21 also appear to have been purged because of corruption.

In Xi’s China, corruption is often a byword for incompetence. The PLA is notorious for operating enormous Mega factories to feed US export markets with everything from bicycles to ninja turtles and Christmas lights.

With President Trump’s new punitive tariffs on Chinese goods, many of those factories are shutting down, creating massive unemployment. And that is a social time bomb not just for Xi but for the communists in general.

But you won’t learn that from The NY Times.

I haven’t read the Grey Lady regularly for at least a decade — and I used to work for the NY Times in the late 1980’s when it was still an actual newspaper. (You can read about that in the “Damavand” chapters of my book, And the Rest Is History).

But it so happened that as Christina and I were heading into the airport to fly to Budapest for the weekend, we picked up a baggage cart with — you guessed it — the front section of Friday’s NY Times.

There on page one, masquerading as objective analysis, were two anti-Trump screeds. The first claimed that Trump was loosing the trade war with China because President Xi had a “secret weapon,” his massive manufacturing capability. (See above).

The second claimed that Trump was upsetting the post-WWII order — an order that benefited the US but also our allies — with chaos and irrational and impulsive policies.

No mention at all of the real nature of the post-WWII order, which was this: the United States pledged to maintain the peace worldwide by deploying the US Navy to keep shipping lanes open and 300,000 US troops to Europe.

And all of this while allowing the Europeans to flood our markets with tariff free imports, on the pretext that they were recovering from the devastation of the war.

That devastation apparently continued until January 2025 when Trump returned to office and said no. You guys have now got to pay your fair share of the common defense. Oh, and if you want to help Ukraine, you can buy our weapons and send them to Kyiv.

And here’s the rub: this isn’t my original interpretation of recent history but that of left-leaning geopolitical analyst Peter Zeehan.

Much nonsense is also said about Trump’s so called love affair with Turkish autocrat Erdogan. He came to the Oval Office on Sept 25 desperate to get Trump to reverse his decision to block Turkeys purchase of F-35 fighters, which Trump made after Turkey welcomed in Russian military advisors to service the S-400 air defense systems they had just bought. The S-400s were designed to shoot down the F-35.

Trumo said, well, maybe. But shown is the troops in Gaza.

Turkey like Qatar and even the UAE has said we don’t want to be the ones to disarm Hamas. But that’s what they signed up for by joining Trump’s 10-point peace plan.

Now it looks like the Indonesians will be the ones to send troops into Gaza. Muslims, for sure. But not Arabs or former imperial rulers, like Turkey.

This could get interesting.

I discuss all this, as well as why the Trump-Putin summit in Budapest got pushed back, on this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend.

As always, you can listen live at 1 PM on Saturday on 104.9 FM or 550 AM in the Jacksonville, Florida area or by using the Jacksonville Way Radio app.

Yours in freedom.

EXCLUSIVE: Chinese Gov’t-Tied Network Training Illegal Immigrants To Drive Big Rigs In US

Chinese illegal immigrants are obtaining commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and landing jobs in the U.S. trucking industry with support from a Chinese government-linked network, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

The Chinese American Trucker Organization USA Inc. (CATOU) is a New York-based nonprofit trade organization registered as a 501(c)6 that has allegedly helped over 1,000 Chinese students obtain CDLs and has a 100% pass rate, according to its business filings, social media posts and website. Videos posted on social media by an individual who crossed the U.S. southern border illegally shows they were able to rapidly obtain California CDLs after taking courses taught by CATOU instructors.

The public safety concern presented by truckers with unknown criminal backgrounds and driving records is compounded by CATOU’s board chairwoman, Geng Hang, who has held leadership roles within organizations operating as arms of the Chinese government and a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence agency called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), according to DCNF translations of announcements from those entities.

“No way American citizens voted for the California gateway for illegal migrants to operate heavy vehicles throughout America. That of itself is a public safety and homeland security concern,” Steve Yates, senior research fellow for China and national security policy at the Heritage Foundation, told the DCNF.

“Having a large CCP-tied network further train, certify, and place ‘their’ illegal migrants throughout vital surface shipping routes — urban, rural, and interstate — elevates national security risks,” Yates said. “At a time of high tension, crisis, or conflict with the CCP, what confidence could we have this network could not and would not be used against us?”

CATOU and Geng did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

‘Not One Has Failed So Far’

Chinese social media posts show CATOU instructors teaching students about the trucking industry inside the New York office of Red Apple Employment Agency, which is also led by Geng, and helps Chinese nationals both with and “without proper status” find work for “$80 to $100 per job placement,” The Wall Street Journal reported in July 2024.

While the DCNF found no New York business filing for Red Apple Employment Agency, the agency’s office displays signs featuring both CATOU and its name, videos posted by CATOU on Chinese social media reveal.

CATOU members have also taught truck driving courses at 7 CDL Driving School in Manassas, Virginia, videos within posts from the X account @tiange999 show. The driving school shares its address with a trucking company that Geng owns called Red Apple Enterprises Inc., according to business filings and 7 CDL’s website.

“The driving school where I’m studying has trained over 1,000 Chinese students and not one has failed so far,” @tiange999 wrote in a September 2024 X post featuring videos filmed with a CATOU instructor at 7 CDL Driving School, according to a DCNF translation. “Experienced students can pass in just one week, while those with no driving experience pass in about a month.”

The @tiange999 account is operated by a Chinese national who traveled up from South America and Central America into North America before crossing the U.S. southern border in June 2023. The owner of the account has since referred to himself as someone who “walked the line,” which is a “euphemism for illegal migration out of China,” Simon Hankinson, senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Center For Border Security and Immigration, testified during a May 2024 hearing held by the House Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability.

Roughly 8.5 million illegal aliens were encountered at the U.S. southern border during the Biden administration, including over 182,000 Chinese nationals from fiscal years 2021-2024, a spokeswoman for Customs and Border Protection told the DCNF.

The @tiange999 account also features videos detailing how he passed the CDL test at 7 CDL Driving School and ultimately obtained CDL qualification in less than two months after first announcing he’d received a California driver’s license in August 2024.

More recent posts show @tiange999 driving a coach bus with identification numbers revealing his employer to be NC Transfer Inc., which has branches in North Carolina and New York, according to business filings.

The Trump administration is ramping up scrutiny of the trucking industry following a deadly August 2025 crash in Florida involving an illegal immigrant truck driver with a California CDL, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The truck driver has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and a preliminary Department of Transportation (DOT) investigation allegedly discovered he “did not speak English.”

“I would say just the drivers alone is not scary enough on the national security front,” Justin Martin, a 15-year trucking industry veteran, told the DCNF.

“These guys are already here, and they’re already operating, and it doesn’t matter how many of these trucks you catch or how many of these drivers you shut down, they’re just going to get hired somewhere else until they start going after the companies and the owners of these companies and shutting them down and preventing them from coming back,” Martin said.

‘Foreign Actors’

CATOU’s chairwoman, Geng, has served as an official in multiple organizations advancing Chinese influence and intelligence efforts in the U.S., including one entity that has held meetings in the New York office shared by CATOU and Red Apple Employment Agency, according to DCNF translations of Chinese media reports, social media posts, and the organizations’ announcements.

Among other Chinese government-tied leadership positions, the website of a New York nonprofit called the American Shaanxi General Chamber of Commerce (ASGCC) identifies Geng as its deputy chairwoman, according to a DCNF translation. ASGCC operates as a branch of the Shaanxi provincial Department of Commerce as well as a “sister association” of a UFWD arm called the China Overseas Friendship Association (COFA), according to DCNF translations of ASGCC and COFA announcements.

ASGCC has repeatedly met with Chinese government officials, including in June 2009, when the nonprofit welcomed a delegation from the Shaanxi government and the UFWD‘s Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries to discuss U.S. investment in China, according to DCNF translations of ASGCC announcements. Geng presented the delegation’s head with flowers at the airport, and she and other ASGCC members later serenaded the officials with songs like “Nanniwan,” which commemorates the CCP and Chinese military, according to Chinese state media.

Photos accompanying a January 2015 social media post made by ASGCC’s chairman also show ASGCC has held meetings within the shared New York office of CATOU and Red Apple Employment Agency.

“We are slowly giving over our entire truck industry to foreign actors,” Gord Magill, a truck industry writer, told the DCNF.

“I think foreign actors are fully aware that America’s corporations engaging in wage arbitrage and wage suppression against their own people are presenting opportunities for them to extract and scrape value out of the U.S. and give them some kind of strategic advantage in knowing exactly how our transportation systems work, and they’re just leveraging it for their own ends at the cost of American jobs and American motorists’ safety,” Magill said.

ASGCC, Red Apple Employment Agency, 7 CDL Driving School, Red Apple Enterprises, @tiange999, NC Transfer Inc. and DOT did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

EXCLUSIVE: Mike Johnson Says Hakeem Jeffries Is ‘Terrified’ As ‘Marxists’ Jockey For More Power In Democratic Party

House Speaker Mike Johnson sees growing leadership challenges on the horizon for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as the far-left flank of the Democratic Party jockeys for more power.

Jeffries and his counterpart, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, fully embraced a federal government shutdown following pressure from their party’s base, who have been demanding a prolonged fight with congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump. Johnson told the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) in a recent interview Jeffries’s decision to align himself with the far-left forces in his party could ultimately prove untenable and risks turning off the handful of moderates who remain in the party’s coalition.

“He’s trying to appeal to the less-progressive, more-moderate people, the small handful of them that remain in the Democratic Party and in Congress while also trying to appease the radical Marxist progressive left, and that’s an impossible assignment,” Johnson told the DCNF. “So he finds himself in these terrible positions saying and doing things that he knows are not true, that he doesn’t personally believe, but he’s trying to lead a fractured caucus.”

“Hakeem is establishment and the Marxists are taking over the party,” Johnson continued. “It’s a tough, tough position to be in.”

Jeffries and the majority of his Democratic House colleagues have cheered a politically-risky government shutdown which, among other impacts, is forcing troops to temporarily report for duty without pay and potentially jeopardizing Americans’ access to federal nutrition programs and certain healthcare services.

This hardball strategy follows the lead of left-wing activist groups, who have waged a months-long campaign to urge Democratic lawmakers to fight Republicans over funding government programs.

Johnson told the DCNF he sees considerable irony in the current shutdown fight with Democrats — who support big government — effectively giving the Trump administration an opening to further cull the federal workforce and slash agency programs by keeping the government closed.

Republicans also called out the hypocrisy of House Democrats’ embrace of shutdown. Jeffries and other top Democrats previously railed against shutting down the government, predicting dire consequences for Americans that could occur with a funding lapse.

“Hakeem Jeffries has always said that shutting the government down is dangerous,” Johnson said. “He knows that, but he voted, and he led his entire caucus to vote against it [funding the government] two weeks ago, except for one who broke ranks.”

Maine Rep. Jared Golden was the lone House Democrat to vote for the GOP’s spending bill, which would fund the government at current levels and does not feature any partisan policy riders favored by Republicans.

Golden issued a veiled critique of Jeffries’s shutdown strategy, arguing top Democrats were currying favor with far-left activist groups “to put on a show of their opposition to President Donald Trump.”

Jeffries was asked Wednesday about Golden’s criticism during a press conference by a Fox News reporter. Jeffries did not directly respond to the question, but argued the Democrats’ demands to add $1.5 trillion in policy demands to any spending measure were not partisan.

“You must disagree with Mr. Golden?” the reporter followed up.

Jeffries immediately moved on to the next question.

Johnson also pointed to Jeffries’s apparent hesitancy to endorse avowed socialist and Democratic New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani’s campaign as a prime example of the difficult choices the minority leader is facing within a divided party.

Though Mamdani has notched recent endorsements from top New York Democrats, Jeffries has thus far declined to weigh in on the contest despite being asked about the race during nearly every press availability he holds in the Capitol. Jeffries’s silence on the race has led to a revolt from the left flank of the party, with Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez excoriating Jeffries and Schumer for dragging their feet on endorsing the party’s nominee.

Several New York Democrats notably went out of their way to distance themselves from Mamdani and blast the democratic socialist as “too extreme” to lead New York City.

“Both Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are running scared from AOC and the far-left in their party — they have outsize influence — and they’re terrified,” Johnson said.

It’s also not clear that Jeffries’s combative shutdown strategy will land with or appease intraparty critics — who torch his messaging as too scripted — as well as the party’s left-wing base.

House Democrats’ government shutdown livestream struggled to attract viewers — amounting to just a few dozen at certain hours — and was cut short in the eleventh hour after being widely mocked by the media and even some Democratic strategists. Conversely, a three-minute video released by Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders starring Ocasio-Cortez garnered 1.5 million views on X.

Jeffries also lashed out after Trump posted an AI-generated video depicting the minority leader in a sombrero with a mustache. Johnson told the DCNF the move played right into Trump’s hands.

“He’s making himself appear unserious when he’s arguing about a sombrero meme while the government is shut down and people are losing healthcare and vital services,” Johnson said. “They are doing this to themselves. This is not Republicans —  these are self-inflicted wounds.”

A spokesperson for Jeffries declined to comment.
