June 6 is the 81st Anniversary of D-Day

Eighty-One years ago, over 156,000 soldiers from the United States, Britain, and Canada, stormed the beaches of Normandy to bring down Hitler and his sadistic Nazi regime.

D-Day was the largest amphibious military assault the world has ever seen. 2,501 Americans died on the first day of the battle.

These Allied troops fought to preserve the ideals of Christian Western civilization.

General Dwight Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied forces, spoke to his troops on the eve of the invasion.

President Ronald Reagan, during his speech on the 40th Anniversary of D-Day at Normandy, closed with these inspirational words:

“Strengthened by their courage, heartened by their valor, and borne by their memory, let us continue to stand for the ideals for which they lived and died.”

Take time today to remember the sacrifices our troops made on the beaches of Normandy 81 years ago and take action wherever you are to ensure their sacrifices were not in vain.

Memorial Day 2025: Remembering the Saluting Boy on Omaha Beach [VIDEO]

We are republishing this video of a young boy who stood on Omaha Beach holding the American flag and saluting as the waves hit and waters rose on this the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.

It is both fitting and proper to remember all those who gave the last full measure of devotion to our nation before, on and after D-Day, June 6th, 1944.

“And a child shall lead them.” — those are the words that came to mind as I watched this video of a young man honoring the memories of those who perished on D-Day. It is well worth seven minutes of your time.

The simple act of devotion from this 11-year-old American boy is more than commensurate to honor the last full measure of devotion of young American boys some 80 years prior.

Every now and then, when there are times of despair, despondency, and desperation we just need a little reminder of the greatness and goodness of America.

Bravo young man, Steadfast and Loyal!
